Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best a billion Lisa in the morning, finally
a warm Saturday.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Hey, guys, it's pretty surily.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
This is the best of billion Lisa in the Morning,
and it's looking like we're going to hit in a
ninety degrees day, which is actually kind of crazy. But
let me break down the top five moments of the
week with you, and let's get right into number five,
because we had some really great moments this week, and
this one should be higher, but again, we had so
many great moments that it just has to be number five.
Billy told a story back from when he was graduating
(00:30):
high school that none of us had.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Ever heard before.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
I don't know if this still happens, but in my
day when you graduated, there was an all night beach
party you went to like an isolated beach and okay,
can I tell one story?
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Okay, sure, Bill, the floor is yours.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Okay, I love the Bill story.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
So we're all on a beach, by the way, it
wasn't even legal to be there, right, and we had
coolers full of booze and beer and everything, and you
start doing beach game. This is in the pitch darkness, right,
It's middle of the night, and so me and a
couple of my buddies and you've met a couple of them,
A handful of us grabbed a blanket and did that
(01:12):
thing where you tossed.
Speaker 5 (01:14):
Somebody up in the air and patched them in the blanket.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Who volunteered for that.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Maryanne Sparticino, I remember distinctly.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Card you're the best memory of that.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
And she was a small person. So, you know, me
and Dennis and John, all my buddies.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
So we grabbed the blanket and we're tossing her and
we had her.
Speaker 5 (01:36):
Way up. We pulled a.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
She hit the sand like a stone.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
We were canced.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
Oh my god, you never heard this story before. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
And and Dennis, my buddy, God rest his soul.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
His older brother had a cottage on the beach. He
didn't know we were there, and he broke into the
house too. We had it all going on. I couldn't walk, broke.
Speaker 6 (02:29):
Like you.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Didn't bring it to the hospital.
Speaker 7 (02:31):
We called for a car.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Oh my goodness. Okay, these were different times, obviously.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Well, now they've stormed the beaches, that's the big thing.
Speaker 8 (02:43):
Now takeaway. Yeah, there's one coming up. I mean, I'm
not even gonna say where it is.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
But the really bothered me. I mean it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, there's there's going to show up and cause trouble.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
They're hitting beaches, they're hitting malls, and especially with the
beach season now they're going to be all over the beach.
Speaker 8 (03:00):
And speaking of graduations, I mentioned this earlier. Every weekend
on Kiss we're doing senior shout outs. That's a cool thing.
We're doing Saturdays and Sunday, so all day we'll be
playing your talkbacks for senior shoutouts.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Shout out to.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
Do something about I wonder.
Speaker 9 (03:17):
If Marian's Parttino is actually listening right now.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Imagine, And I wonder if she still has a hitch.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
She could have a club second she broke her leg,
looked up.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Were you one of the people that pulled the blanket out?
Speaker 5 (03:39):
Of course? Of course.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Did you at least bounce her once up and down
on the blanket?
Speaker 5 (03:43):
Yeah, but that was worse because now she's going higher
and higher.
Speaker 8 (03:46):
Oh no, yeah, at least you gotta do some pumps.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
This is awful, right, God, this.
Speaker 8 (04:04):
Was supposed to be a happy, never goes well well
graduating always guys like anyway, Bill composed yourself a senior
shout out, So you need to talk backs all week
long and then listen this weekend. I'm kiss to hear
your shout out. That's something cool we want to do
to honor all the graduates.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
This is for the senior shout out thing. I wanted
to shout out my.
Speaker 10 (04:23):
Cousin Nicholas, who just graduated today from Westwood High and
he's majoring in marketing in Florida.
Speaker 6 (04:29):
I just wanted to say that, thank you.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, I'm trying to make it.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Pa.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
They're awful. It's awful, right, who is it?
Speaker 4 (04:47):
You?
Speaker 2 (04:47):
And Doukie?
Speaker 5 (04:49):
Yeah, dookie, it was probably the John Campbell Frank Canelia.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
John Campbell does not seem Oh.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
He was one of the ring. He was a class president. Really,
he's the first one it brought the blanket.
Speaker 8 (05:01):
Okay, wow, yeah, at least did you have anything happening.
Speaker 9 (05:05):
No, definitely had a big party. I mean we definitely,
like everybody was like hammered. Yeah, I'm just click normal
crazy stuff, but not like that.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
Yeah, we're not encouraging it.
Speaker 8 (05:17):
No, you know, we're just telling stories, stories from the past.
I mean, I didn't have a graduation, so we don't
have a good story there. But it would have been nice.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
But we could do it, and you know, we could
put Lisa in.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
The No, we're not doing that. I am not volunteering.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
No, Lisa.
Speaker 8 (05:36):
Bill did pitch a reenactment because I didn't have I
didn't have a prom I didn't have any of that stuff.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
He pitched it to the boss. I'm not even kidding.
The Boss did not like it, you know, at all.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
He and Jen would be the king and Queen and that,
all dressed up.
Speaker 7 (05:50):
You know.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
We invite listeners, kind of like.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Old school radio.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah. I don't need that. It's fine. No, the Boss said,
no interest, no interest at all. Yeah, nothing. We do
the blanket thing. Bring it on back, yeah, bring it
on back.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (06:08):
Oh my lord.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
Hey guys.
Speaker 11 (06:10):
So I grew up in a small town on the Cape,
and we were able to sleep on the football field
one night, and some people left early, some people stayed
the whole night, and some of the kids that stayed
the whole night broke into the high school, pete all
over the school. And let's just say, like the day
or two later, our field trip for our senior trip
(06:33):
to Nantucket was canceled.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
Something like memory.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Look see something happens.
Speaker 8 (06:42):
Yeah, yeah, this is why I love this show. I
love doing this show. It's my favorite thing to do.
Speaker 7 (06:46):
Yeah, I can't even breathe so.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Hard we're doing. We do this segment to you know,
honor the graduates.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
We are and then Billy has to throw that in.
Speaker 8 (06:55):
Yeah, but we'll take the stories like.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Poor woman, how about bub it's graduation time. In fact,
if anybody graduated this weekend, congratulations, it's the best of
Billy and Lisa in the morning. I'm producer Raley counting
down the top five moments of the week with you,
and number four is all about graduation stories. Billy told
one about poor mary Anne and him and his friends
(07:26):
dropping her on the beach. So we were wondering, can
you guys beat that?
Speaker 5 (07:29):
Wait?
Speaker 11 (07:30):
Can we go back to Marianne and please tell us
where is she now?
Speaker 5 (07:34):
What happened to her?
Speaker 12 (07:35):
Did she have a broken leg?
Speaker 6 (07:37):
Did she.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Not walk again? Please?
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Please tell us what happened again? We're not like, we're
not recommending them.
Speaker 7 (07:47):
No, we're not fault if.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
You're just tuning in.
Speaker 8 (07:49):
Billy was talking about a graduation party where they took
a girl named mary Anne and put her on a
blanket and then tossed her in the air and then
pulled the blanket right and then she fell to her
and she fell and then they didn't bring to the hospital.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
They carried her home.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
Yes, well, I should say that there were other people
in the blanket before you know, it became a thing.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
And then Marianne stepped up.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
And it's not.
Speaker 8 (08:12):
And I'm sure she's fine. Well, show absolutely fine.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
Yeah, as far as yeah, I think I've communicated with
her since.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Luckily.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
Yeah, she was very nice, very funny.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
She was a great guy. I'm sure I could have
a club foot nowadays, we don't know.
Speaker 10 (08:31):
Good morning morning, Cruis Queen queenso here, billy, you frigging
kill me. I'm so glad that you're just as messed
up as I am, because it justs you feel better
about myself, because yesterday I couldn't stop replaying the woman
falling into the sewer man and smashing her face, and
(08:51):
I was in his star of showing everybody and they
were just like, oh my god.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
This poor woman. Then they're looking at me and they're like.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Are you okay?
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Queen Case was like the female billy. We watched that video.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
I couldn't stop laughing.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
It's pretty horrific.
Speaker 8 (09:03):
She was walking in New York and she literally stepped
on a manhole cover and fell in and then and
then it closed.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
She was gone, yeah, and she slammed the back of
her head on the is she okay?
Speaker 5 (09:13):
We don't know, but she was.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Okay, I haven't seen that video.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Oh you got to pull it.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
You're walking the busy side. Don't walk on a manhole
and don't be looking at your phone. So she stepped
in the manhole and it flipped it and then it
just went right on top of her the lid like
nothing happened like that.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
How did she get out?
Speaker 7 (09:35):
Oh? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
I didn't get the fall to busy laugh.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Okay, this is so.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
We need to follow up on Marianne and the manhole
cover woman.
Speaker 13 (09:41):
Please, Billy, your story about the blanket brought me back
to a memory when I was a cheerleader in high school.
We were throwing up a girl for a basket offs,
and every time she came down she would kick her
legs and I said, kick your legs one more.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Time, and we're not going to to catch you because it
was danger.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
She was hurt one of us.
Speaker 13 (10:02):
So next time she went up and started kicking, I
backed away and let her follow the map.
Speaker 14 (10:08):
All right, that's what you get.
Speaker 7 (10:10):
That's what you get.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Yeah, well, I'm not going to say Mari Anne had
it coming. No. I mean, it was a game and
it just took a turn. But it wasn't when you're
a teen and you're.
Speaker 15 (10:19):
Having a couple of beers on the beach on the
ky It was on sand though, Yeah, well I don't
think we would or maybe on asphalts.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
No, it was out.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
On the beach, okay.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
And eventually we were chased away by a police.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Yeah, and then you carried her home. What a ranger.
Speaker 16 (10:38):
So I also through a freshman year party, didn't realize
what you tell one person, everyone finds out. So the
football team, wrestling team was there.
Speaker 5 (10:44):
Et cetera. One kid broke my trampoline.
Speaker 16 (10:46):
Another kid threw his backpack in the fire that contained
an axecan, which blew up. And then he also had
silly bands in his backpack, so those were popping all
over the place. My yard set on fire because it
broke through the fire pit. And then my brother was
also there trying to embarrass me with his friend. It
brought up one of those you know, blow up Dolls
was really interesting. So I was the whole talker freshman year.
But at least it was all positive that it was
an absolute rager.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
Yeah, it's graduation time, that's a rager.
Speaker 7 (11:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (11:09):
One time my friend in high school threw a party
and it was a complete rager. And his parents had
you know, gone away for the whole weekend. So we
threw the party and then we cleaned up everything. I
mean literally it was spotless clean everything. But during the party,
somebody pressed the record button on the answering machine, so
it recorded a lot of the party. When the parents
(11:30):
came home, they didn't suspect anything, but then someone called
and the answer machine played and all your heard.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
Was passed the blood.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
And he got caught.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
I just thought one of my neighbors in Lyndfield when
I was in Lynnfield, his daughter was actually my intern
here for a while, and she had a graduation party.
She was graduating I think pc uh, and she had
a graduate The parents went away and she had the
party at the parents' house. Well they were, you know,
goofing around in the hot tub, but they left the
(12:04):
hot tub running, and when the parents came home, nobody
knew the hot tub was running when the kids all left.
When the parents came home, the entire home.
Speaker 5 (12:11):
Was flood flooded and destroyed. Graduation time, man.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
It is okay, not like a tradition, but actually ten
years ago today, I graduated.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
High school, which makes you feel old.
Speaker 6 (12:24):
And okay, I'm starting the bachelor trip for my best
friend from high school and all of our friends from
high school.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
So what a way to start our ten year anniversary.
That's fine.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Yeah, maybe they should play the blanket game out on
the patch of the red party.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
There's always one that doesn't fit the rest of the group.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Don't get any ideas from Billy. Yeah, there's one rule
in life, don't know.
Speaker 16 (12:56):
Please, So you remember in high school, how like if
a party was half the word would spread and like
one hundred people that you didn't even invite your house with.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Like show up.
Speaker 16 (13:03):
So that's what happened to this kid Robbie's house for
his graduation party. And I remember there being cooler is
like lining down his driveway on the left and right,
and like the parents were even handing.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Out like alcohol the kids.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
I was dating some kid at the time. He wasn't
super social.
Speaker 16 (13:17):
I don't even remember giving him the address. But I
remember being told that a football player threw me over
his shoulder and dumped me into his car when he
picked me up, Like, here's your girlfriend?
Speaker 3 (13:26):
God memories.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Yeah, Yeah, there's always something wrong with Robbie.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
There's always something going on with somebody named Robbie. What Robbie,
either Rob or Robert. But when it's Robbie, there's gonna
be trouble.
Speaker 8 (13:41):
Okay, I guess I have a friend named Robbie. He's
the blond guy, my blind friend.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
His name is Robbie.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
I know you how to blind me either.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
We talked about this last week and we didn't. Yeah,
remember he was he broke into the house and tried
to steal with you.
Speaker 8 (13:59):
Yeah, I wrote I seen your paper on his life.
I got a blind faith there because he's been a
mentor of mind. He's been a long time in recovery.
But think about it, he's blind.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
What is he doing?
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Awesome?
Speaker 4 (14:11):
But he carried a microwave out of the home he
broke into thinking it was a TV.
Speaker 8 (14:16):
Yeah, he you know, he was, he's in recovery and
he was an active addiction. He broke into a house
and he was trying to steal whatever was valuable, so
he picked up what he thought was a TV and
ran out, but it was the microwave and then got
caught put out in La County jail.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
There you go.
Speaker 8 (14:30):
He's also a really good guitar player, and he toured
with Arrowsmith. He's friends with Steven Tyler. Really really accomplished guy. Wow, yeah,
you want to bring him in here someday?
Speaker 3 (14:39):
You want me to bring him in from what Bill?
You wanted to strum the guitar. It's something wrong with me?
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Okay, you guys, everyone listening out there. He's so warped.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Billy.
Speaker 9 (14:58):
He's like, yeah, my brain is really needs to be studied.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Yeah, it should have been removed a long time aground study.
Speaker 6 (15:06):
All right.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
I know we had a lot of laughs with the
number five and for a moment this week, but this one,
the number three moment, is a little bit more helpful.
Sean in Boston, who is a hubster on Billy's show,
Meet Boston, came in to give us some details about
FIFA and the World Cup coming to Boston.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
Hey, guys for walking back.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
It's Friday, start of the weekend to Boston is getting
crazier it's going to get even crazier everything that's.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
Coming to town.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
You've got the World Cup, You've got Sale Boston, You've
got the two hundred and fiftieth, You've got Pride Events.
I mean, it's just going to be an insane summer.
And today, this morning, the World Cup album is out.
Justin let's get a clip in there.
Speaker 8 (15:43):
Oh yes, we have the Future Tyler, which we love.
Game time right for the game figures of those favorite
songs you got your Cara, I mean quite the track list,
but I love this one Major Laser, who, by the way.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Is doing the iHeart Festival. Yes they are in September.
That's cool.
Speaker 8 (15:58):
But they've tamed up bill with your favorite, one of
your favorites, the Portuguese Princess.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Oh yeah, Nelly, A Place Like Home.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
I like this one.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
They did a really good job with this album.
Speaker 9 (16:16):
A lot of interesting artists, different collapse.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Give me a little clip of Shakira because I really
like the Shakiro one.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
You put me on this diab. You got to get
some die die in on Nelly Fortado.
Speaker 17 (16:28):
Hey, this is Nelly Fortato with Billy Costa Canada.
Speaker 9 (16:35):
I like the Goals one too with Lisa from Black
Paint Goals is good too.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
It's cute.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
Yeah, he hates what I did.
Speaker 8 (16:41):
That's fine, I got it. I got all of a
Sudden'm excited for soccer.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
I gotta tell you.
Speaker 5 (16:54):
People who are actually.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Going to ther Leete Stadium or they call it now
a Boston Stadium for the World Cup, they would be
listening to these songs.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
On their way, especially if they're riding the tee.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
It's a lot of the trains are going to be
leaving South Station heading out to Julante.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
And you'll hear them there. I'm sure turn the games
before and now.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
Okay, the simple song, it's weird. I thought at the
beginning she was saying balls saying she says.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Well, balls is a part of it, but.
Speaker 5 (17:26):
Soccer balls, you know I'm talking about. Okay, so a
lot of people listening.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
You guys know, I have a couple of TV shows.
One is called Meat Boston and we have a team
of Hobsters. They are influencers, they are experts on the
city of Boston. And one of our top guys that
Sean and Boston, is sitting in the studio live right now.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
So thanks for coming in Sean.
Speaker 7 (17:45):
What's up, guys, I'm happy to be here.
Speaker 18 (17:47):
When you just hear Shakira like, it just makes you
want to shake it a little bit totally.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
Yeah, you know, hims never lie.
Speaker 18 (17:54):
They do not lie. That Booty does not lie. Now,
I'm happy to be here, guys, like this full circle moment.
I grew up listening to you guys in the old days,
and obviously somehow I'm on your TV show and somehow I'm.
Speaker 7 (18:07):
Sitting here in front of a microphone with you guys.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
So that's the thing.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
It's more your TV show now than mine. We leave
it up to the hubstors and then you guys tell
your story.
Speaker 18 (18:13):
Yeah, you know you and you and Jenny have done
a great job curating it. And the whole team behind
that production team is amazing. Their producers, camera people, everybody's awesome.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
Okay, let's talk about World Cup and what it's going
to do to this city of Boston.
Speaker 18 (18:27):
It's gonna be insane. The whole world is coming here,
especially with people from Scotland.
Speaker 7 (18:31):
They are very excited.
Speaker 18 (18:32):
The Tartan Army they call themselves, and the Tartan Army
they've let themselves be known.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
That's for sure, I believe.
Speaker 7 (18:40):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, down in Boston Stadium.
Speaker 18 (18:43):
But I'm excited. It's gonna be fun. It's nice to
have different people from around the world here. We always do,
but it's gonna be nice to see an influx of people.
I ride the Silver Line every day and I'm on
the Airport. I come on the Airport Line and.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Oh, you're a g rider.
Speaker 7 (18:54):
I am Silver Line.
Speaker 18 (18:56):
Yeah, and there's gonna be a lot of a lot
of baggage on the on the on the Silver Line.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Well, I found out that there's one single Scottish.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
Bar in Boston. It's in Jamaica plant called The Haven.
Speaker 7 (19:07):
The Haven, Yep.
Speaker 18 (19:08):
I've never been, but people are talking about it, and
I know it's going to be insane. There's a lot
of pop up ones I think coming up to people
will have their little, you know, soccer bars that they
transform and a lot of places like that. It's gonna
be a lot like that in the city. Everybody's becoming
a soccer football bar.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
So where are the best places to do? Watch parties
is going.
Speaker 7 (19:26):
To be hotel watch parties is going to be our
usual bars. Obviously.
Speaker 18 (19:30):
One of my favorites will always be mcgonagall's, JJ Foleys,
the Dublin. You just can't beat these places, Black Rows,
all the classics are going to be having their big
watch parties. But of course the hotels will have their
lobby lounges. I know the Liberty Hotel is having a
big one.
Speaker 7 (19:45):
Oh man, that'll be insane.
Speaker 18 (19:46):
The Revere is having a rooftop part rooftop baby.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
Yeah. So a lot of families are looking for places
to go.
Speaker 18 (19:53):
I've had some Scottish families believe or not, I don't
know how this happens, but reaching out to me looking
for places for where can we bring our kids to
watch the game after nine o'clock because they're here, the
kids will be here with them with parents, and you
can't be in a bar pass what nine or ten
for kids. So I think a lot of these hotel
spots will be a little bit more family friendly, which
(20:15):
is nice for a little bit.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
Okay, gonna ask you, Sean, it's going to be very
festive in and around the city.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
Right You're going to be wearing a kilt at any time.
Speaker 7 (20:23):
I'm wearing a kilt. I've been practicing my bagpipes. I
actually should come back in here in a couple of
weeks and I play some bagpipes.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Yeah, you know Haiti Scotland. Man, that's the first game
out at your light STADIU.
Speaker 7 (20:33):
It's going to be a big game.
Speaker 18 (20:34):
And I know Boston has a big Haitian population too,
so that'll be nice to have.
Speaker 7 (20:38):
Some representation there too. And it's just going to be crazy.
It's going to be fun.
Speaker 18 (20:42):
It's all Irish are all the time, so we're gonna
change it up a little bit of Scottish once.
Speaker 7 (20:45):
In a while.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Okay, So as one of the meat Boston and the Hubsters,
you're on the inside, so to speak. Do you have
any late word on this extending the bars another hour.
Speaker 18 (20:53):
I've been hearing that it just passed the House and
it's moving to the Massachusetts Senate and that I think
the governor is for it.
Speaker 7 (21:00):
So I would hope so, because this.
Speaker 18 (21:02):
Could be a huge boost to the economy. Late night
economy makes us. I think a late closing time legitimizers
a city a little bit more. I mean, how many
cities have you been to that close super early? Not
too many world class cities, you know.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Rhode Island expanded to four AM.
Speaker 18 (21:17):
Four A, which is crazy for a little roadeo down there.
But it needs to come with the infrastructure to balance it.
You need to adjust the tea times, You need to
make sure that you know, the employees are taken care of,
that the drunks are taken care of, that everybody can
kind of sustain for these later hours. So I would
hope that that would come with a full package.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
Oh you just reminded me of something.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
Okay, anybody coming in from another country, remember one thing,
we tip here, we tip, Okay, they don't tip over there.
Speaker 7 (21:46):
Okay, I thought I heard.
Speaker 18 (21:47):
I don't know if it was Boston, but some restaurants
in other cities we're putting like gratuity on there on
their bills just for this couple weeks.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
And why not, Yeah, because people overseas, it's not their fault.
There's not a customed tipping, right, you know, it doesn't
exist there.
Speaker 18 (22:02):
Right, We go overseas and they're loving Americans that you know,
everybody's tipping.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
So I was just in Portugal and one of the
bartenders an announce on the speaker because.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
We're having a big karaoke night in some bar.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
In Portugal, and he said, Americans, if you here don't
forget tip the bartenders and the waitresses.
Speaker 18 (22:17):
I think I saw that video. I would say karaoke anyway,
I think to be hilarious.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
Oh god, I did caarayoke.
Speaker 7 (22:23):
Well, hilarious and humiliating. That's the best.
Speaker 5 (22:26):
But all things at World Cup, all things. Sean in Boston.
Where do people go to find you and get your information?
Speaker 7 (22:32):
Sean in Boston on Instagram? Shaw, I just make that
clear the right way?
Speaker 5 (22:37):
And Sean asked you, where are you actually from?
Speaker 7 (22:39):
Originally I'm from Wilmington. Actually, Okay, yep, so I.
Speaker 18 (22:42):
Grew up in the North Shore and uh yeah, I'm
living in the area now and spend almost all day
every day in the city.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Welcome back into the best of Billion Lisa. In the morning,
I'm producer rally counting down the top five moments of
the week with you, guys. I'm going to need you
to buckle in for this one. We were talking about
weird things that you do your pets, and we all
know Billy Costa is the king of weird and he
proved it here.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
So this morning we were having a conversation. I don't
know how it came up, but it was a crazy
weekend when the weather is that bad, you just catch
yourself doing things that on a normal day you probably
wouldn't do. Like if you've got two dogs lice, Yes,
when it's as bad as the weather was on Saturday,
you've gotta come up with things to do with them
(23:27):
because otherwise they.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Get crazy and they get stir crazy.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
Yeah, stir crazy.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Because they're used to going on these long walks and
you couldn't do that.
Speaker 7 (23:36):
No, you couldn't.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
Although I'll tell you my wife is so crazy.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
Like when it's really raining like that, I'm always like, no,
we're not going in the park. Okay, it's going to
be all mud. I'm not going in the park. I've
got good running shoes on.
Speaker 5 (23:48):
We're not.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
But then we have to go in the park, and
then I'm hosing off my running shoes.
Speaker 5 (23:52):
When I get back to the house.
Speaker 4 (23:54):
So I got back from saving my own life and
the boat from the storm, the hurricane Saturday. Right, that's
a bit of a stretch, but okay, came close to
losing my life several times. I get home and the
dogs are at the house, and so I say, hey,
what's going on? It is just well, Titus had loose
stool at the park and you know, you just catch
(24:18):
up on the day, right, And that was the one
line she had for me. And I thought back to
the morning early when I left for the boat to
save it from the storm, and we had taken the
dogs out for a walk, and I couldn't help.
Speaker 5 (24:32):
But remember that Titus had a beautiful.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
Poop in the morning, because you look at it, How
did things change something?
Speaker 9 (24:39):
Maybe the rain freaked him out and he was nervous.
It was like a nervous poop.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
Well, you don't just look at it. You got to
pick it out, oh right, you got to pick it.
You don't know, you become obsessed with the dog's poop.
Speaker 9 (24:48):
Lying was right, But when it's like that, it's kind
of hard. So you kind of have to like fake
pick it up, like with the bag and kind of try.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
If it's loose, yeah, then there's nothing you can do.
Speaker 9 (24:58):
Really, Yeah, you can't really. I mean you could scoop
up the dirt and stuff and the grass into.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
A bag, but damn you if someone's looking out the
window and they don't know that it was a very
loose poop and you couldn't, yeh.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
That's why you got to deal with it in some way.
Speaker 8 (25:12):
Yeah, I would do the fake pickup if it was
loose like that, But you don't walk away.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
It's just fascinating to me that I find myself doing
things for these dogs that I didn't do for my children.
Speaker 9 (25:26):
Well, when you had Bailey rest in peace, didn't you
put Bailey in the shower with you like you would
shower together.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
I shower with Titus.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
You do shower with the dog, of course I do you.
So your nick is he going to get clean licking himself?
Speaker 2 (25:42):
Okay, okay, this is I told you, this is thin.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
I remember this now, it's jogging my memory.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
He loves it getting in the shower with death. Okay, yeah, no,
wait a minute, don't be thinking. Don't get me going on.
You justin Okay, this isn't about me. Okay, but you
also Lisa, the dogs sleeping bed.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Yeah yeah, him and Michelle, so all.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
The more they should be nice and clean.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
And then, okay, you ready for this again, more than
what I did for the kids.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
So Titus will come in the shower.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
With me, right and when I'm done cleaning him again,
I'm just dark naked. You don't take him to the
groomer once in a while, but I can groom better
than these people.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
Okay, so wait till you hear this.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
So now I hand him off to Michelle, who's waiting
outside the shower with towels right to towel him down.
Speaker 5 (26:29):
And then I have to finish up. And then I
have to go.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Out in the hallway where we have a cabinet that's
just all stuffed for the dogs. And now I have
to finish drying him, and then I have to blow
dry him, and and then I brush him and then
I have a perfume spray for him.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
What is going on?
Speaker 8 (26:50):
I'm glad we picked this topic today for topic time. Yeah,
weird things you do with your pets because you are
the king. This is don't you don't wash Luna? Though
Luna is a feen.
Speaker 5 (27:01):
We washing Luna.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
You're in the shower naked with she Like, what do
you mean?
Speaker 5 (27:05):
She's a female? Like something's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Does like it?
Speaker 5 (27:10):
She loves it?
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (27:12):
I don't know if I love so the boys okay,
but you and Luna. That's a little wit.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
And then Lura's got this weird thing with her eyes.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
She's always got these hard, goofy things coming out of
her eyeballs, and I have to take those out every day.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Oh.
Speaker 8 (27:24):
Actually, speaking of that, let's go to Jess and Drake
online one. She does the same. Make you feel a
little better.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
Jess, Hey, Jess, Hi, good morning.
Speaker 18 (27:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (27:35):
My dog is hair and not fur, and she gets
eyebogger as I call them, and they're like little krusty's
in the corner of her eye, like.
Speaker 14 (27:41):
In the middle.
Speaker 19 (27:42):
And I like to scrape them out, like scrap the
out with my fingernails, with their fingernail.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
Yeah, what do you call them?
Speaker 19 (27:48):
I what?
Speaker 5 (27:49):
Yeah, eyebogers? Okay, all right, yeah, see do what I mean?
Speaker 3 (27:54):
So you do the same. You scrape them out.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Gives like a tissue or something.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
You ask me if I ever had to scrape out
I boogers from my son's eyes.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
No, this dog thing has like.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Yeah, entered a new world, taken over your life.
Speaker 8 (28:07):
Yeah, well this is a big development. I knew that
you showered with the dog. I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
The dog comes out and you blow dry titus and
then put a perfume.
Speaker 9 (28:16):
Well, otherwise you've got a wet dog and that wet
dog smell that.
Speaker 16 (28:19):
Gets all over their dead Yeah, and everything smells of
well awful blow dry.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Yeah, I'm just trying to picture the visual. I don't
want them.
Speaker 8 (28:28):
So you're in the shower with Titus, You're obviously naked,
and then you bend down you kind of wash him.
Speaker 5 (28:34):
Yeah, I mean you don't want to see this video.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Like again, I'm naked, I'm bent down, everything's hanging out,
and I'm scrubbing him because he's got a set of
brushes that I use on him, and then you got
to hose it off and then resh him, and then
I have to put a conditioner on them, and then
you rent to final rints and then start trying them
a little bit, and then Michelle takes him outside and
finishes that until I go out in the hallway and
(28:58):
then Luna follow So now, don't forget as a.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
New resident at I can't even look at it.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Watch it.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
I can't even Yeah, and here's the thing, it's not
like I have a choice like with Michelle. It's like,
when are you gonna wash the dog? I'm like, oh,
I'm sorry, I just walked in the door.
Speaker 5 (29:18):
Like that's what my point is. Everything is about the dogs.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
We watched them poop three times a day or pee oh,
how many times did he pee?
Speaker 5 (29:28):
That's another thing. Did he p how many times?
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (29:31):
You got to take them back out? Unless you pee
three times, you always peace three times.
Speaker 9 (29:35):
What is going on training Luna? So that's like a
big deal, right, I know. But to get her on
a schedule, it's of course.
Speaker 5 (29:43):
Oh that's another thing, the schedule. Look one fifteen, you
gotta get Luna out. Okay, Happy Monday. This is Kim.
Speaker 17 (29:50):
I think I'm going to jump on the poop train.
Perfect timing. I had my granddog this weekend. She's sixteen,
and the last thing my daughter said when she dropped
her off was she has a poop jet today with
a smirks. So I took a route and she pooped,
and I texted.
Speaker 5 (30:04):
My daughter, Susie just took a dump.
Speaker 17 (30:06):
A grown man would be proud of, said, thank you.
I get your gross, mom. But I must say, there
is nothing more sexy and than sashating down the street
with a dog with that green weighted bag.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
I know, except true You're like, what can I get
it of us? And it's like so heavy?
Speaker 5 (30:23):
You like I'm trying to mud all over my feet?
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Yeah right, and I'm carrying a bag of poop like
what happened?
Speaker 1 (30:33):
All right here? It is the number one moment of
the week. It's the best of billion.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
Lisa.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
In the morning, I'll produce a rally. I've been counting
them down for you. And we were talking weird things
that you do with your pets. Billy Costa is just
so weird sometimes, and you guys were right there with him.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
Let's go to Sarah. She's in the beautiful town and
it is beautiful Ostroville. Good morning, Sarah, Good morning.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
What have you got?
Speaker 19 (31:00):
So?
Speaker 12 (31:02):
My dog is very needy. She's been on a prescription
diet ever since she's been a puppy. She takes clariton
in the spring because she doesn't, her belly gets very red.
But we also have to wipe her lady bits every
time she uses a every time she goes to the
bathroom or else. She gets super irritated. She's just very
(31:24):
high maintenance.
Speaker 9 (31:25):
Wow, okay, wait a minute, what do you wipe her
with like little So it's actually it's a medicated wipe
with that we need to get from the vet.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
Well, maybe it's the medicated wipe that's causing the irritation.
First of all, when did you decide to start wiping
the animal.
Speaker 12 (31:43):
So because she would sit there and lick it, and
like if anybody has a dog, you know, that's like
the most obnoxious down on Earth's the licking. So we
brought her to the vet and she's like, oh yeah.
She's also of irritated, like it looks like a fungal infection.
So now we do these wipes. It's not like it's
not like Hanny time.
Speaker 9 (32:01):
But she's right though, because I have a female dog too,
and sometimes it gets so irritated it looks awful.
Speaker 7 (32:07):
Well, yeah, Luna is a liquor.
Speaker 8 (32:09):
Yeah, Bill, don't judge. That could be your future with Luna.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah, the medicated ways.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
I'm gonna know that's coming. Honey.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
You'll shower, you'll scrub them in the shower.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
I'm not, but you're bollowing them around so I can
wipe their wipe.
Speaker 7 (32:27):
He'll do whatever.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Michelle, Well, you know there's a problem when they when
they start dragging their ass on the on the rug, Well.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
That's they skid. Well, that's because the anal sack is
it's full of fluid. It's a real thing. And that's
when at the groomer they'll squeeze it. That's what they do.
Speaker 7 (32:47):
How do you expect.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
The second they squeeze it they do? Good for them.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
They squeeze the sack.
Speaker 9 (32:55):
You have to squeeze the sack otherwise if they just
keep skidding trying to do it themselves.
Speaker 7 (32:59):
Can you squeeze?
Speaker 5 (33:00):
Please keep talking because we're getting all kinds of drops here.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
I have not a billy, do you, because that's something
you have to do.
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
I want to go on record as saying I have
never squeezed the sack.
Speaker 20 (33:11):
Now, let's continue the conversation. I'll save you, Bill, I'll
save you. Don't thank you.
Speaker 7 (33:22):
It's greasy from West Bridgewater.
Speaker 6 (33:24):
And this weekend I had a puppy dance party with
my dog Boston.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Oh, that's so cute.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Boston. I like that name.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
That's a great name.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
A puppy dance party.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Yeah, and her dog's name is Boston.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah. Send more details on that. We'd love to know
how music was played.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
I take the dogs to a dance party.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
I would too, I'd bring Ruby, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Because they like music.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
The dogs, the pups like it, I mean, I think
so you know, they don't cry when we're playing music.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Loves jumping around. It's all excited.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
And you did post that. You know they were listening
to the Countdown last weekend.
Speaker 5 (34:01):
Oh yeah, they listen. If we listen, they listen.
Speaker 8 (34:04):
Well, Billy Billy makes his wife Michelle watch his TV show,
listen to the Countdowns, the w b Z show.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
You know he's on watch on TV every weekend.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
I don't once in I will say I did watch
both shows this pastor, Michelle.
Speaker 7 (34:19):
I gotta tell you those shows are awesome.
Speaker 4 (34:22):
Playbook and Meet Boxton on nesson least Saturday morning Sunday nights.
Speaker 8 (34:25):
Schelle told me a typical Saturday is he'll be upstairs
and he'll have it on the radio, the Countdown. Him
and I do in the countdown, and then she'll go
downstairs and I'll have Dining Playbook on the TV and
he'll be kind of bouncing back and forth.
Speaker 5 (34:39):
Yeah, she has no interest in the TV show.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
Now what about the radio show?
Speaker 5 (34:44):
She only likes it because you and Lisa. To you, guys,
but she just rolls her eyes at everything.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
I say, Michelle, what do you think?
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Hi?
Speaker 5 (34:53):
Guys?
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Every single morning, Boom, I Palmmeranian.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
And I go to Starbucks every single morning. He gets
his pep cup. I get egg white BikeE and the
cheese Danish.
Speaker 13 (35:04):
I know I shouldn't eat it, but he shares a
little bit of that with me.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
We sit in a parking lot for an hour.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
I do my wordle and then he gets going to
daycare and I go to work.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
It's pathetic, but that's what we do.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
All those egg white bites, yeah we used. We should
bring those back really really good.
Speaker 7 (35:26):
Yeah, how do we get them?
Speaker 2 (35:28):
We have to order done? Right next to.
Speaker 7 (35:35):
Bill?
Speaker 14 (35:36):
Bill, listen, all right, First of all, you're scrubbing the
dog in the shower, Will, You're in the shower and
just I have this visual of just all the dogs
filled just running over like your feet and like the
whole point of shower is to like clean yourself and
like for someone who's a foot person and like.
Speaker 16 (35:57):
Cares about like the way your feet look in foot health.
Speaker 14 (35:59):
Like something clean about that.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Bill.
Speaker 5 (36:03):
I don't know, man, They're not packed dogs. I mean,
they're not like wild wolves. You know, they're my dogs.
There are house dogs.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
They still go outside.
Speaker 5 (36:14):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
Yeah, they're still outside down the storm, weren't they?
Speaker 5 (36:17):
While whatever is floating around down at my feet.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
That's what you're immune systems for let it work, Let
it do its job enough.
Speaker 5 (36:25):
People don't do that. Let it work right.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Anybody else's dog do the poop walk like you can.
Speaker 9 (36:31):
Tell when they're getting ready, right before they do the
little dance they do like a little butt in the
air poop walk.
Speaker 5 (36:37):
Yeah, yeah, that's machine.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
Again, I don't understand what the dance is, the circling.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
I think we have an answer book ahead, Bill Well,
in advance of the poop.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
Michelle will say, oh, his thing's right, what does that mean?
His thing it comes popping out?
Speaker 3 (36:53):
Okay, anal size?
Speaker 5 (36:55):
What I mean?
Speaker 8 (36:55):
No?
Speaker 2 (36:56):
The other thing, yeah, oh yeah, is.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
The anal sign.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
The anal sack thing is the conversations.
Speaker 5 (37:04):
It's like I don't know what happened in my life.
I know, yeah, can you see it?
Speaker 7 (37:08):
It's things out?
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Well, think about it.
Speaker 8 (37:11):
Like you said, when your three boys were little, the babies,
you study the poop, right, that's what you do.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
To make sure it's normal.
Speaker 7 (37:16):
Oh, he had a beautiful and they.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Grow up and you do the same with the dogs.
Speaker 6 (37:19):
Anyway, the answer you guys are talking about your dogs
and their bathroom habits.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Here's a fun sash dogs.
Speaker 6 (37:26):
Poop facing north so that could be the reason for this.
Speaker 5 (37:30):
Tin have a great day? Okay?
Speaker 7 (37:35):
Is that true?
Speaker 4 (37:36):
No, because they spend they keep walking around, they're close
to feeling like they're ready to go, and then they
stop and spin three or four times, and then there
I have an answer.
Speaker 8 (37:46):
It is true, and science backs it up. Dogs have
a natural instinct to align themselves along the Earth's north
south magnetic access when they have to go to the bathroom.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
And they know stuff we don't know. I'm telling you,
that's why they always look at you weird. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Wait, so it's not just north. They prefer to face
either true north or true South.
Speaker 9 (38:06):
Okay, I'm gonna the next time, I'm gonna take notice.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
They're anti east west. They will not poop east west.
Speaker 5 (38:12):
What are we supposed to carry a gadget?
Speaker 4 (38:14):
Now? Make sure he's pointing his poop in the right direction? God,
when does it stop?
Speaker 3 (38:18):
You get everything here?
Speaker 12 (38:19):
Never heard of somebody showering with their dog, But I
bet that dog is wondering why Dad's.
Speaker 7 (38:24):
Tail is on the front.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
