Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Planet Fitness his one Oway Studios.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
We we're back with a Billy and Lisa in the
Morning on k Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
You got that right. It's the Big Friday edition the
Billy and Lisa Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
Obviously we're thinking about We're still talking about a lot
the incredible wildfire. It's in southern California, and a couple
of questions popped into my head Lisa overnight, literally in
the middle of my sleep. Let's say you own a house,
but you have a mortgage, and now your house is
completely leveled in a wildfire, you still make the mortgage payment.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Well, I came up last night.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
I was watching CNN and Anderson Cooper interviewed a guy
who said that he lived in a condo building that
was completely burned down. So he owns the condo, he
has HOA fees. Does he still have to pay his mortgage?
Does he still have to pay the HOA fees.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
While he's living somewhere else.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
Well, I feel like if you own the house, you own.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
The land, right, Well, what if it's a condo.

Speaker 6 (00:54):
But it's what I'm saying. But if it's a condo,
that's all I'm not paying anything.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Yeah, you don't there's nothing, like there's nothing left.

Speaker 7 (01:02):
Yeah, I would.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Think, no, there's got to be an answer, though I
didn't know.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
He was just sort of throwing it out there.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
He's like, I don't know what I'm going to do
if I'm required to pay this, because what if it
hurts his credit?

Speaker 7 (01:13):
Right? But if someone out there that knows.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I mean, if you own a condo, you've lost the condo.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
If the building's gone, everything you own is gone.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
But if you own a home and you own the land,
you still have the land that you could rebuild on.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
So that's a little different.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
But if you're in a condo in a building and
you don't own the land, who owns the land?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
And what do they do? I mean, that's probably a developer.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
I don't worry about them.

Speaker 8 (01:34):
Well, yeah, maybe they would be stuck with the bill exactly.
They would have to decide whether the same goes for
a home.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
But yeah, developer like that would probably has like so
much insurance they be paid out anyways.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Yeah, well that's one of the big stories coming out
of the wildfires. Insurance has been canceled on a very
large number of people. I think it's state farmed. Don't
we see State farm in the football games all the time.
They have a lot of football.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
Games also, I think one called Farmers Insurance, which is
a different one.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Spencer and Heidi from the Hills.

Speaker 6 (02:04):
They were saying that after the last Malibu fires that
Farmers canceled all of them in that area, and although
they are looked at as like a rich couple, they
haven't really been, you know, they their podcast got canceled
an on TV anymore. So they were kind of saying
the majority of what they have was their home. They
had a million, you know, cout million dollar home. That
was where the value was for them in their property.

(02:26):
So they're like, we don't we don't have millions of
dollars to rebuild. So they were saying, like they want
to see Farmers.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
But then again, if you own a house down there
middle of the wildfires, you probably knew you weren't insured.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
Well, they became insured by some other California state insurance,
which obviously isn't as good as you know, you're a
private insurance.

Speaker 8 (02:45):
So I don't know there's a lot of people in
that same position as they are.

Speaker 7 (02:49):
But let's go to line one. Sharon. I believe she
might have an answer for us.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Okay, Sharon, are you an expert on this field of
some sort?

Speaker 9 (02:56):
Well, not really an expert, but I have experienced Mom
and her husband. They lived down in Saint Petersburg and
they lost their condo with the flooding and the hurricane
that happened, and so they lost everything. They had to
move to the Tampa area. And while they're rebuilding the condo,
they had to still they still have to pay the

(03:17):
condo fees every month.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I would be so annoying insane.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Now along with the condo fees, do they also have
to pay the mortgage?

Speaker 10 (03:26):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Well, so now they're paying condo a mortgage payment and
they're moved into another place that they also have to
pay for.

Speaker 9 (03:34):
And not only that, they owned two condos that they lost,
so they have to pay.

Speaker 7 (03:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (03:41):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (03:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (03:44):
Again.

Speaker 9 (03:44):
I don't know if that is just based on that
state or if that's you know, country wide. I mean,
I don't know, but yeah, we were shocked to when
we heard. I mean, you know, we were like, Mom,
What's what will happen if you just don't pay it? Like,
what are they going to do?

Speaker 3 (03:58):
I don't think they'd come after you. Would they. I mean,
you lost everything?

Speaker 9 (04:03):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I don't know, but yeah,
well everything right now?

Speaker 5 (04:10):
What was that they pay everything? Still?

Speaker 9 (04:13):
Oh yeah, I think it's still not moved into the
con So but they're they don't plan on going back,
but you know, they plan on selling ones. It's all rebuilt.
But yeah, so they're in a place right now and
it's probably going to be I'm assuming maybe nine months
before they're able to even go back if they wanted to. Now,
I mean, you know, they had to, you know, rip

(04:34):
the walls down, the floors, the molds.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Who's paying who's paying for the rebuild?

Speaker 9 (04:40):
It's a contractor that I believe is hired by the
condo association.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Okay, so the association is handling at least the renovations
and the rebuild.

Speaker 9 (04:50):
Correct. Correct, Wow, Wow.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Got them glad? I asked, this is horrible?

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Yeah, maybe I don't.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
I was like, I want to buy, man, I want
to keep renting that way, fit something happens, I'm just
not paying for it.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Well that's not a bad argument.

Speaker 7 (05:04):
These days.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Yeah, a lot more people are in fact renting and
taking that as a permanent option.

Speaker 8 (05:08):
There are benefits to renting for sure. Wow, oh my god,
oh my god. A lot of people are calling right now.
Let's get one more on them. You know, we don't,
we don't. We don't have a producer. Riley is off.
This is behind the scenes, but we don't have a
phone screener.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
It's me.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
So we're trying to do double dual and we don't
know when we pick up the phone.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
We we can't take that up, that risk.

Speaker 8 (05:29):
But for those people, you can leave a talk back
and we will get your voice on what you need
to say. Do it on the iHeart app, the new
iHeart app. Tap the little red microphone there and leave
your message.

Speaker 7 (05:38):
How's that?

Speaker 8 (05:39):
But coming up next, we have our weird stories summers
a little you know, a few months away. But a
new trend you may or may not want to be
a part of.

Speaker 7 (05:45):
That story is.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Next with the Billy and Lisa's weird stories. All right,
this is a good one. Gen Z is celebrating the
new trend. It's called full bush in a bikini movement.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
This is a gen Z tread.

Speaker 11 (06:08):
Oh my god, full bush in a bikini, Full bush
in a bikini.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I won't share it, but there was this one.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Ats the review for a bikini where the girl.

Speaker 7 (06:19):
Had a full bush and I got radicalized by that's.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
The review for real, Like.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Yeah, that's how it should be.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
They're going back to the way it used to be.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
And this was like a New York Post story.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, it's all over the place.

Speaker 8 (06:34):
Well, you know how fashion right least, we talk about
this all the time. It goes away and it comes back.
Things they come back.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Yeah, yeah, I just don't. I'm not a part of
I don't hear that.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I'm not either. I'm not I'm not going there.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
You say that now, you know you can be persuaded.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
No, No, I don't think so.

Speaker 11 (06:51):
No.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
What's the deal with men? Men in the bikini breach
or whatever they call those.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Manscaping?

Speaker 12 (07:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Are they going to bring the full bush back for
the speedos?

Speaker 5 (07:04):
I don't know, Belle, you never know.

Speaker 8 (07:06):
Yeah, you know what, you could start the trend for men.
I'd rather not you could. You could do that now.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
I think I was one of the first manscapers on
the pot on the planet. Really, yeah, I was manscaping
before it was called manscaping.

Speaker 8 (07:21):
Okay, Well, can't wait for summer, can't wait to hit
the beach this summer.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Tidy up, yeah, or.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Not keep it tidy down there or not?

Speaker 4 (07:30):
About this Rhode Island family assuming a vet after the
vet left surgical tools inside the dog's stomach during surgery. Unfortunately,
the dog did not survive. And here's Kristen talking about it.

Speaker 13 (07:46):
We all were looking at the X ray like, it's
not even possible that there are scissors in my dog's stomach.
But by that point, she was so sick that if
they had done the emergency surgery, she probably wasn't going
to make it. So we had to rush the kids,
you know, out of school.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
They had to say goodbye. I was not.

Speaker 13 (08:03):
Expecting to put her down. I was expecting overnight stay
with fluids, maybe antibiotics. Never, in my wildest dreams, I
think I was coming home without my dog.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
I think you got to put the vet down.

Speaker 7 (08:14):
Yeah, or at least a big lawsuit.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (08:17):
Man, poor the poor kids, I mean the poor family,
but especially the kids.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
It's tough.

Speaker 6 (08:24):
This is an interesting one. So you never I want
ever ask you where you're from? Right, you say I'm
from where you're born? You say where you live? Now
do you say where your ancestors are from? That's been
a debate on TikTok do you say way, Like, what
do you mean when you say where you're from? So
can you claim New York if you're not from like
Manhattan or the Bronx or Brooklyn.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
So that's kind of been going around social.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Well, I say I'm from Boston when somebody asked me,
But when they say, oh, where'd you grow up, I'm like, Oh,
I grew up in Pennsylvania, but I'm from Boston.

Speaker 7 (08:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (08:54):
This came from a there's a show out of New
York that kind of interview people on the street, and
that's kind of with that's this debate online started from if.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
You're from New York, you gotta be born in New York.
One hundred disagree.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
That's not accurate. Why do you disagree with that?

Speaker 5 (09:06):
Because you can.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Be from somewhere.

Speaker 7 (09:09):
Yeah, but I can say I'm a New Yorker.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
I believe if Jesus was born somewhere else, it would
be a different story. We're bringing Jesus into this.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
It's about birth where you're from. You can have kids
in New York and they could be New.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Yorker's my child who was born in New York. He's
a fishing she's in New York.

Speaker 12 (09:23):
You suspect New York is a brand and they keep
trying to infiltrate that.

Speaker 14 (09:26):
Thanks for coming on the Best show in New York,
brought to you by guy born in Egypt.

Speaker 7 (09:31):
Suspect.

Speaker 8 (09:33):
Okay, So here's the thing, right, I disagree with this
because I was born in Palo Alto, California. I lived
there until I was four years old, and then I
moved here. I grew up in Malden, right down the street.
So when people ask me, I say, I'm from Malden.
But but if I go away somewhere on vacation out
of state and someone says where you're from, I say Boston.

Speaker 7 (09:53):
Yeah, well yeah, which necessarily isn't true.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
I know it's easier, Yeah, I do the same thing.
You know, everyone hears your acts, Oh where you're from?

Speaker 6 (10:00):
I'm like, I'm not gonna say Quinsy or if they'll
say Boston, Oh, they think they know what they're talking about.
They go, what part am? I go, Actually, I'm Quincy
is the town over. But it's just easier that way.
But I say Quincy. I would I was technically born
in a Boston hospital.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
I just say Boston because it's just easier then traveling.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
I say Boston.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
But if around here somebody says, oh, where you're from,
I usually have like a three part answer, Well, I
was born in Cambridge, but I raised it.

Speaker 11 (10:25):
No.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
But what I do is I say when something's what
you're from? I say automatically, I say Quinsy, and I say, oh,
but I live in Randolph, because in my eyes I'm
from Quincy, but I live in Randolph.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 8 (10:36):
Yeah, Yeah, it's just too much talking when you meet somebody,
especially you don't know them.

Speaker 7 (10:40):
I live, I grew up here, but I was born here.

Speaker 8 (10:42):
It's like way too much about none of your business.
You could say that, Well, just tell them exactly where
you're from, you know.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (10:53):
Anyway, you gotta entertainment coming up.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
What you do? It's a big one. First of all,
it's new music Friday, justin so what are you going
to have for something?

Speaker 12 (10:58):
New? Well?

Speaker 8 (10:59):
Tat mccrazy New Well comes out next this next month,
and she's already teasing some new music from that album.

Speaker 7 (11:04):
And guess what, I have some of it in your report.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
And how about this?

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Teddy Swims has a new album and a new baby,
and we'll talk about that next in it.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Back to Lisa in the morning, one to Wait. So
that was a Vichy right there.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Right before the holidays at Lisa, I watched the VCH
doc series Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
It's on my list. I'll watch it this weekend.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I mean, Avici is one of those guys we all remember,
or most of us remember, But I had no idea
how big this guy was. He was so international, he
flew all over the world, he would do stadiums.

Speaker 8 (11:41):
So talented and such a tragic loss, you know, I mean,
one of the most talented musicians ever and such a
nice guy. Yeah, you know, like when in the in
the in the doc documentary he talks about, you know,
he's a Vichy, but he's Tim. Yeah, and he's that's
kind of like the lead in It's like, I'm Tim,
And just those words were so to me, you know,
because he was this big, massive star. Yeah, he was

(12:03):
struggling internally with who he was, and.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
He started at such a young age.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
He was just so into it, and it was like
all artists from all walks wanted to work with the Beachy,
and most did.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
We can find it on Netflix if you're interested in Beachy.
I'm tim is the name of it.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yeah, it's awesome. I highly, highly highly recommend it.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Now the entertainment Update with a Billy god.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
Set, we'll talk about the latest on the California wildfires.
The death told by the Way has climbed to ten,
expected to climb even more. There's a new fire now
in the Calabasas area. People being told to evacuate. More
than one hundred and fifty thousand people at the least
have been told to evacuate their homes and leave everything behind.
The Palisades said to be completely wiped out. Mark Wahlberg

(12:48):
talking about it again.

Speaker 15 (12:49):
It's devastating, and you know, I think catastrophe on so
many levels.

Speaker 14 (12:56):
I know so many people who live in and around
the Palisades are people that are working with on the
crew here on the.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Film now have lost their homes and families lost homes.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
Yeah, we talked earlier about the Palisades one of those areas. Yes,
there are a lot of wealthy celebrities that lived there,
but also a lot of working class families, two income
families who moved there because the schools were really good.
And by the way, the schools have burned down, as
has most of the Pacific Palisades area, Malibu hit really hard.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Have you seen some of those videos?

Speaker 16 (13:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
In fact, in Malibu yesterday they found a body and
that's days later and they still don't know where it's
going to end in terms of the death toll. But
the people who have lost to everything. Actor Adrian Brody
was just at the Golden Global Wards, a celebratory event
and then days later total devastations.

Speaker 11 (13:48):
I just want to thank and commend the bravery of
the first responders and the sacrifices and their meaningful work
that deserves our recognition.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Ben Stiller was on Colebera last night talking about his
new Apple TV show.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
It's called Severn's Justin. You've been watching the first season, right.

Speaker 8 (14:08):
I watched the first episode and I have no idea
what's going on. I do like it, but everyone's saying
to keep watching Justin.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
You have to keep watching.

Speaker 12 (14:17):
It's so good. The first few episodes you are trying
to figure it out, but it all comes together.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
There's still questions at the end, but it's unbelievable.

Speaker 13 (14:28):
I'm watching it through for like the third time so
I could get ready for the next season.

Speaker 5 (14:32):
Keep watching it.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Yeah, season two would schedule for a Red Carpet premiere
Monday night, but that's been canceled now, and Ben Stiller
talks about it right here.

Speaker 15 (14:41):
My heart goes out to everyone in LA. I lived
in LA for twenty years. What's going on out there
is just so devastating, and just keep thinking about all
the people affected and the first responders who are working
so hard to save people's lives, and I just wanted
to say, you know, send love to everybody.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
A lot of shows, a lot of programs being ansel
and or postponed. Oscar nominations have been moved from Friday
the seventeenth to the nineteenth. The Critics' Choice Awards moved
from this coming Sunday to January twenty sixth. The Red
carpet premiere of Pamela and and An's movie The Last Showgirl,
which I think you want to see, right lady, Yeah,
it looks great, and also j Loo's movie Unstoppable. The

(15:19):
premiere has been completely canceled. Production on so many TV
shows totally halted.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
By the way.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
The Rams Vikings Game, which will be the Monday Night
playoff game this coming Monday Night, has been moved out
of Los Angeles to Arizona because of the wildfires and
the Lakers Hornets game last night had to be postponed,
and wildfires in certain parts of California. We know they've
been commonplace for a long time, but this particular series

(15:48):
of fires just has something feels very different and eerily.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Joe Rogan predicted it back in June.

Speaker 7 (15:54):
I was talking to this guy and he was telling me.

Speaker 14 (15:56):
He goes, Dude, one day, he goes, it's just going
to be the right wind and fire is going to
start in the right place, and it's going to burn
through La all the way to the ocean, and it's
not a thing we can do about it. I go, really,
he goes, yeah, we're just we just get lucky. He goes,
we get lucky with the wind. She goes, But if
the wind hits the wrong way, it's just going to
burn straight through La and there's not gonna be a

(16:16):
thing we could do about it. Because these fires are
so big, Dude, when they're talking about like thousands of
acres that are burning simultaneously with like forty mile an
hour winds.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Yeah, when you think of it, it's kind of ironic at.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
LA, which makes these movies right that would look like this. Yeah,
it's now actually happening.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
It does. It's all over California, complete devastation.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Mel Gibson was on Rogan yesterday promoting his new movie
Flight Risk with Mark Wahlberg.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Mark is a.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
Bad guy in this movie, and the Mel says, he
does a good bad guy.

Speaker 17 (16:50):
Mark's got a good dark side. There's some dark stuff
there that he was able to draw from, and every
now and then he'd let it out. I can't even
repeat it of the stuff he'd say. In fact, we
had to cut most of it out. It was like
really sick, but we we hint at it.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
No, Gibbson's got a crazy Yeah, I love him.

Speaker 8 (17:11):
Remember the tapes, Yeah twenty ten, Yes, I believe he is.
He did talk a little bit in that podcast about
being in recovery now, but those are some dark times
for him.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
Man, yelling and yelling.

Speaker 8 (17:22):
I won't even play them because I know he is
regretful of them. He has apologized, but crazy, but.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
We gotta get we know what we have to get.
Mark on the show.

Speaker 6 (17:30):
You know what's funny justin you won't play them because
he's regretful.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
But Billy's regretful of all the things, he says, and
you still play that.

Speaker 7 (17:36):
Yeah, yeah, category great, like.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Bill is regretful of every branch he's done.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
Regretful, not really the microphon, I know, the hot mics.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Yeah, no, this point, whatever comes out of my skull,
whatever at this point.

Speaker 6 (17:51):
Okay, then we'll play can Mike's later on.

Speaker 5 (17:55):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Mark looks scary in this in this movie. Yeah, just
see him bald with like a hair just on the
sides of his head. We have to get him on
the show though, Okay, he's your buddy. Yeah, yeah, you

Exposing Puffy means exposing them.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Wow, that's scary that there's a lot of people like Puffy.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
I watched a lot of the college playoffs over the vacation,
and I was watching a Notre Dame game, and I'm
saying to myself, it's a good looking guy.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
He is fine, that's okay, right.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
I think it's great.

Speaker 4 (22:32):

Speaker 7 (23:46):

Speaker 4 (23:47):
It's Friday morning, the Billy and Lisa Morning Show. Hello,
Welcome in, everybody.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Come on in. Yeah, the door's always open.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
The phone lines are always open on the Billy and
Lisa Morning Show if you will all in for a
few minutes.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
You know, I'm a huge boater. It's my absolute passion.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
That's my thing. Okay, justin, I know, we know, all right.
You go to the gym, you like the ice baths,
you like your sauna, you like pumping iron, you like
looking at your own body.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
My thing is boating is your boat.

Speaker 8 (24:15):
You love to park it in the harbor, Charles tom Marina,
and it never leaves, It just sits in the.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Marn that it's not true. You keep saying that. But
the good news for Boter is everywhere and you wait
all year for this.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
The New England Boat Show is in town, and Carrie
is the spokesperson, Carrie.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Do I have you?

Speaker 10 (24:32):
You have me? Yeah? Hi everybody, Hey Carrie.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
I was hanging out with Carrie at the boat show
the other day for a few hours.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
We had a ball. There were some beautiful boats. Am
I lying? Is in five hundred and fifty boats in all?

Speaker 10 (24:44):
Yes, we just did our audit. It's actually five forty eight,
so just shy wow.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
We got to send a couple of boats in there.

Speaker 10 (24:52):
I know exactly. Pull yours right up.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
Billy and Lisa actually made a good point the other
day to me about the boat show is it's been.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
I'm so cold and so windy in New England.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
You go into the boat show, it's indoors, it's nice
and warm, and it makes you feel like summer again,
right carry.

Speaker 16 (25:09):
Yes, it's really summer vibes. We were talking about that
last night because in the beach club we're doing happy
hour tastings. We'll have another one tonight actually, and we've
got live music going there. And then you're strolling along
all these boats and you're boarding everyone that you want to,
you know, and suddenly within fifteen to twenty minutes you
feel like summer. It's fantastic.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Now the Beach Club. I think that was new to
the Boat Show last year, wasn't it.

Speaker 16 (25:34):
Yeah. Yeah, it's just a fun space to kick back
and relax. I mean, you have a lot to see
and do at this year's show, because it's not only
about the five hundred and fifty boats, but also the
indoor paddle pool where you can do stand up paddle
boarding and the kids can paddle in their own mini lake,
and there's just a lot of stuff going on. So
when you want to kick back, head to the Beach Club.

(25:56):
You've got adduron deck chairs and cornhole and games and
a bar and music and it's just a fun place
to be.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Yeah, giant bar, you get a DJ playing music, you
have food being passed around, picking up food, putting down food.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Boarding all these gorgeous boats.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
It's awesome, Carrie. I was trying to tell Lisa. She
doesn't believe me. She can go there. And there's paddle
board yoga, yes.

Speaker 16 (26:21):
And we we tried it yesterday morning. And I actually
took a little lesson with Janna from sup Yo, which
is righting here in Boston Harbor.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
And oh, where'd you go? We got disconnected?

Speaker 7 (26:37):
What happened lost her.

Speaker 5 (26:38):
No, I mean we have her on our end, so
I know it might be a dropped call.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
It was a technical glitch.

Speaker 7 (26:44):
It happens these things.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
I was going to get into the kids thing, because
kids under twelve getting free. You should bring the kids
to the boat show. Justin Okay, and they have fishing.
My kids to the boat chat fishing lessons. The guy
will teach you how to fish use, will tell you
what kind of bait to use, what kind of hooked
to you, stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Carrie, do we have you back?

Speaker 7 (27:03):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (27:04):
So we just lost her completely. Okay, Okay, it's the
New England Boat Show. I'll finish this off. Every year
there's a Queen of the show and no I'm not
the queen.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
A queen.

Speaker 7 (27:19):
I could I stop you for a second.

Speaker 8 (27:20):
This is the beautiful thing about this show, right, Billy
is a boat guy. This segment was all for him.
You know, you love it, you love the event and everything.
We love them.

Speaker 7 (27:30):
And she drops off in the middle of your big moment.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
Yeah, I think Winnie sabotage. I didn't do anything, did
you sabotage me?

Speaker 5 (27:38):
I was really interested in the hair of her paddleboard. Experience.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
So there's I want you to picture this. We'll just
move along. We got her back, Carrie, Where did you go?

Speaker 15 (27:47):
I went?

Speaker 3 (27:49):
I was, uh, we got to talk.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
I was just trying to explain the Queen of the show.
Every year you choose the Queen, and it's it's basically
the biggest and coolest boat in the water this year, right,
and this year it is what exactly, the.

Speaker 16 (28:06):
Tiara forty three LS, So it's a forty three foot
motor yacht. And we had the fun experience when Billy
was with us of doing what we call the spinning
love Seat.

Speaker 10 (28:17):
There's this really cool seat.

Speaker 16 (28:19):
In the back of the boat that actually, at the
push of a button, spins you to look out at
the water or in this case, over the whole boat show.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Yeah, picture this, Okay, guys, picture this.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
So you're sitting there and it's like horseshoe shaped, right,
And you're sitting there, and there's a table and you
can be eating and having a couple of cocktails whatever,
and there's a big screen that drops from the ceiling
so you can be watching the game or something.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
And then suddenly you want to switch directions.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
You hit a button in the entire horseshoe shaped dining
room set spins around completely and now you're facing the
back of the boat.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
That's incredible.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Yeah, that was fun.

Speaker 7 (28:53):
It's so much fun.

Speaker 16 (28:54):
I mean literally six people consider that and then you
spin it around.

Speaker 10 (28:57):
It's really something to see.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
We need to mention kids under twelve get in free, right,
So it's great for families.

Speaker 16 (29:04):
Yes, the tickets are only twenty dollars for adults and
then the kids twelve and underget in free. So it's
an affordable outing to come out and put a little
summer in your winter and enjoy.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Yeah, and if you're looking to do something, take the kids,
take the whole family out. This is a good one.
It's affordable. It's the BCAC, it's right at the Convention Center.
You're in Boston, you're near the seaport district. You can
spend a whole day. So, Carrie, how do people get tickets.

Speaker 16 (29:27):
New England Boat Show dot com? And the best thing
you can do is buy those tickets online because that
allows you to skip the line. You just walk right in,
head down. The escalators scan your code and you are rocking.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
And what are the hours this weekend?

Speaker 16 (29:41):
So Saturday ten to eight and Sunday.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Ten to six and then all day today.

Speaker 16 (29:45):
Right Yeah, we're open noon to eight today, So it's
a great time to come out and enjoy it if
you can get out after work.

Speaker 10 (29:52):
We're here.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Hi, Carrie, thanks for coming on. We'll see you down
at the buntshell. I'm coming back.

Speaker 16 (29:56):
You always good to see and talk with you.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Guys.

Speaker 16 (29:58):
Have a great one, hie my carry.

Speaker 7 (30:00):
It's a happy ending right there. We love that. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (30:02):
So our producer Riley is in Disney. She's off yesterday
and today, but he's gonna check in with us and
our talk back leftovers NEXTSA every morning.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Kiss went to Wait, that's the Weekend right there? I
feel it coming. What's he talking about? What's coming?

Speaker 8 (30:22):
It's all about interpretation whenever you wanted to Yeah, with
the Weekend's new album coming out in two weeks. Wow,
it's the first big album release of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 7 (30:30):
He hasn't a minute a little while.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
Yeah, and he's also got a you know, music, I
mean a movie coming out that he.

Speaker 5 (30:36):
Probably should you know what.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
It hit me the other day because we've been messing
around with the music a lot. We're playing a big
new mix of music on Kiss and you know me,
I've never really been big with playlists. Yeah, you don't
really need a playlist anymore when you got Kiss went away.

Speaker 7 (30:49):
Yeah, it's pretty cool. You know.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
We were always making you know, changes and trying to
keep people you know, up on the current music, but
also some throwbacks, you know, we want to keep the
fun vibes.

Speaker 7 (30:58):
You know.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Hey, I just want.

Speaker 18 (31:01):
To say how much I am loving the music change up.
You guys are playing in the morning, like so many
songs that we've forgotten about that just make us happy.
And I'm loving it.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
And I am not going to be one of.

Speaker 18 (31:17):
Those people talking about the sweatshirts, but.

Speaker 9 (31:19):
Yeah, I kind of am.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
I really really love the shirts.

Speaker 5 (31:23):
You guys are awesome.

Speaker 18 (31:24):
I listened to every morning.

Speaker 7 (31:25):
And I want to represent thank you, thank you, Paul.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
You know what's funny, they haven't even seen the sweatshirts,
but at least the Duneman designed them, so you know
they're cool. But everybody like, god, you've careated a monster
with these sweatshirts.

Speaker 7 (31:37):
A good Yeah, it's a hot item.

Speaker 8 (31:39):
But back to the music though, so just this morning, right,
we have of course your new music, right like Gracie Abrams.

Speaker 7 (31:46):
You know you're Sabrina Carpenter. But then we had Paramour,
Ain't It Fun? Peachy? Wake Me Up, Break One Dance.

Speaker 8 (31:52):
So that's what we're trying to do on Kiss, right,
is create a playlist for you to put on and
leave on, no matter where you are, if you're at home,
if you're driving, on the new iHeart app all that.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah, you don't know if you're doing anything, just put kiss on.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
What we're going to play exactly, Well, I don't I
walk in anymore. I'm like, oh my god, we're playing this.
I love this song.

Speaker 7 (32:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (32:10):
I mean, look, we deliver a morning show. It's full
of content and entertainment, and it's an escape and want
to make people laugh. But we're also a music station.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
We'll talk a little bit about the iHeart app because
they've got that preset thing that everybody's buzzing about.

Speaker 8 (32:21):
Yeah, so a lot of people might not know this,
but the iHeart app has it's new and improved, right,
They've all kinds of new features.

Speaker 7 (32:26):
Yeah, and one of them is this preset.

Speaker 8 (32:28):
Right, so you can make kiss just like an old
school radio, your number one preset, so on the app
on like the homepage at the very top of presets
that you can put on, you can add anything. So essentially,
I'm not saying you have to, but you could put
kiss as your number one. Yeah, and then our podcast
at number two, right, and maybe the after show with
Winning and myself at number three.

Speaker 7 (32:47):
It's funny.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
Winny the other day said, yeah, whenever I rent a car,
I automatically put the preset in.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
I do tell yeahs.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
I do all six of them anytime. If you're like
test driving a car.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
I do the same big yes.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
So if you're listening, you know, and you love the
building at least the Morning Show. Next time you're in
somebody's car, or especially a rental car or testing a car,
just make preset Kiss one.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
Make sure your own car were number one, because you
might not even realize that We're not number one on.

Speaker 7 (33:10):
Your own number one preset in your car and on
the app. We love that.

Speaker 8 (33:14):
Earlier, we were talking about the self driving cars. I
want to get this in. Oh yeah, it's kind of scary, right.
We know Tesla's can do it. You can set it
and you can drive wherever the hell you want.

Speaker 12 (33:22):
My buddy has a Tesla and he told me he
fell asleep at the Brain Tree Split and woke up
on Route eighteen that night, just sleeping driving.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
That's terrify. O, that's terrifying.

Speaker 7 (33:38):
I don't know if I could do it.

Speaker 5 (33:40):
Yeah, no, I can't.

Speaker 7 (33:41):
I really, I really don't.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
At least I don't think your husband Tim should be
doing it.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
No, no, he doesn't it It was a friend and and
the guy did it, and I was terrified sitting in
the back.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
Your husband has a Tesla to tea.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Yeah, no, we don't know. We don't use it, but
he but this other family friend did.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Things tend to happen to Tim, So I don't think.

Speaker 7 (34:00):
Be as safe as so.

Speaker 8 (34:02):
Producer Riley who works on this show. If you're not familiar,
she is our phone screenare. She's our behind the scenes extraordinary.
She does a bunch of stuff. She produces right, but
she's been off yesterday and today today she is in

One and two.

Speaker 8 (34:54):

a magical person.
