In this episode, the speaker dives into the world of "green flags" - the qualities that make a partner a catch. But what exactly are these green flags, and how do they differ from red flags? The conversation gets real as the speaker and their guests share their personal experiences and insights on what makes a partner stand out.

The discussion touches on some surprising topics, from the importance of a stocked fridge to the significance of a made bed. The guests share their own stories of what they look for in a partner, from cleanliness to good manners. But as the conversation unfolds, it becomes clear that these green flags are not just about surface-level qualities, but also about the kind of person someone is.

One guest shares a hilarious story about a partner who was obsessed with lining up their water bottles in the fridge, while another talks about the importance of a partner who can do their own laundry. The conversation is lighthearted and humorous, but also thought-provoking.

If you're curious about what makes a partner a catch, and want to learn more about the green flags that can make or break a relationship, tune in to this episode to hear the speaker and their guests dish out their honest opinions.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nice hand soap, real toilet paper, no clothes on the floor,
wine glasses that aren't stolen from a bar. Clean sheets
is a big one. So okay, A stocked fridge, yep, okay, No,
I mean it means like, you know, this guy's taking
some time.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It's a little on the extreme side. You got to
figure a single guy, I mean, he can get some
of those.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
But yeah, I mean, maybe not the stalked fridge, but
at least wash your sheets. Yeah, I mean, that's like
the bare minimum.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Well, that's a big thing even with you know, adult guys,
if they're living alone.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
When when I was single, I washed them maybe once.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
A month, right, Well, you were in a different era
of yours then.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Well no, even so, I had a room in a
rooming house and I just didn't wash them that much.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
I didn't think about it.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
But if you were living alone right now, you would
wash your sheets more frequently than once a month.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Maybe three weeks.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Would you have a lot of dishes in the sink
if you were living by yourself.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
I don't like dishes in the sink. Yeah, okay, so
then so that would.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
Be the one. Yeah, green flags, geez.

Speaker 6 (01:03):
If I saw any of this stuff.

Speaker 7 (01:05):
When I was dating, I'd be afraid they were gay.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
Yeah, this is Jamie Colling from Beautiful Bathman.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Sorry, i'd be I'd have my gatare open.

Speaker 8 (01:14):
That's not green flags, those would be red flags.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Okay, that's the second straight talkbackwards that accused me of
being gay.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Yeah, there's anything wrong with that. I mean I got
partially all right, Well, what do the gays say?

Speaker 9 (01:26):
Good morning? It's Andy from the Cape. It's a gay man.
I want to chime in on the green flags. It's
not a foot fetish thing like Billy has. However, you
have to have nice toenails, clean cut like it's just
disgusting straight or gay men.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
It's not hard to control.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Sometimes you can't.

Speaker 9 (01:45):
Control if you have funky shaped feet, but you can
control the nails on those funky shaped feet, just saying.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Yeah, that's a little more intimate. It may not you may.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Not get to see the feet in the first gate
when you're looking for the green flag.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
But that's two different things. Right.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
If if they have feet that they're born with that
maybe aren't that attractive, you can't do much about that.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
But you can't do you know much about the toenails. Yeah,
I said, just keep him clean. The clippers are fore ye,
don't eat them.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
No, well, no, that would be a red flag.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
A roam your place and sorry jar full of clipped.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Tonings, that would be Really that would be a big
red flag.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Just move on.

Speaker 8 (02:25):
His green flag list is on point. My boss is
single and he has all of these checked off on
that list. He's such a catch, great guy and kind
of sad that he's still single, because yeah, any woman
would be lucky to have him. And I'm a nanny,

(02:47):
so that's why I know about all this stuff.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Oh well, she.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Gets an inside look and she's given a shout out
to her her boss for her.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
There is no way any single man is going to
hit the mark on all of those. When I met
my husband twenty something years ago, he didn't even know
what thread count was.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, I agree, I mean some Yeah, he didn't know
what was fred count?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Oh yeah, I'm not big on thread I didn't either.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I don't think people know. I mean they just I
mean on this list, it just means clean. There's no
thread count on this list.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Yeah, I agree with the clean sheet thing.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I mean, you know, what's a what's a good thread
count like what number you think, Oh.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Don't they have a thousand thread?

Speaker 6 (03:33):
They did?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, you can go way up and higher the number,
the better the sheet, more, the softer.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Do you notice a difference you do in the higher
thread count?

Speaker 5 (03:41):
You do? Okay, I will say, though, you know what
I like in the colder weather? Final sheets?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Oh those are very cool?

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Oh god, is that nice? You climb in.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
Clean flags? How he treats his family and friends. There's
always exceptions some families. But how he treats his parents,
his niece is a nephew. Does he have a good job,
How he spends his money or saves his money much
more important.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
Well, that's a different kind of list right there.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Right, that's a whole different list.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Yeah, but you know, good point. The job is a
good starting point.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
There's basic a license. Yes, yeah, it's a first date.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
And they say, well I don't have a license. Didn't
you on a first date? Have to say your license
was in police custody?

Speaker 2 (04:31):
I did, Well, I didn't have a license. I lost
my license before I could get my license, So when
I was sixteen, they took my license before I got it,
so I didn't have it for like ten years that long. Yeah,
So I was always the guy that needed a ride,
so I went, if there was a girl that was, like,
you know, willing to go out with me, she'd have
to pick me up.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Wow, did you ever drive without it?

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Pretty much every day?

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Shere is no way any single man is going to
hit the mark on all of those. When I I
met my husband twenty something years ago, he didn't even
know what thread cob was.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Oh, I just played that. Yeah, sorry, yeah, I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
We're.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Geez.

Speaker 10 (05:09):
I just want to say that I'm dating the most
perfect man in the world and he has all green
flags high Matt Draper.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Oh a shout out and everything there.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I think that to produce producer Riley's point earlier that
it depends on the age of the guy definitely. I
think a younger guy may have two on this list
right where an older guy might not. I mean, Mike.

Speaker 10 (05:33):
I feel like one that's not on the list that
I would look for is a made bed. I've like that,
like shows that you get up in the morning or
you're like, you know, but like stuff that's on the list,
like for like a younger person, the candles, the hand,
So it's that doesn't matter as much the picking stuff
up off the floor. That's a big one. I like
when people are able to like do their own chores.

(05:54):
I dated a guy who had his mom do his laundry.
I always thought that was a little weird.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah, I agree, he's got to do his own laundry.
And then the dishes in the sank, I think are
a big one. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
I agree.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
On the made bed, Like, if I'm dating and I
go over there for the first time and it's not dead,
I'm not getting in.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Well, they say that that's just a really good routine builder,
just for anyone to get up and make your bed.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Well, especially if it gets to that moment if you're
you know, well, you would make your way to the bed.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
It's just unmade.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
Yeah, hey, you coming to bed until you make.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
That, I'll be out here wine.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Well, someone makes the bed.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
You figure that.

Speaker 7 (06:37):
Happy Friday.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
This is kim.

Speaker 7 (06:38):
Hey, what you guys are calling green flags are actually
red flags to some of us.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Dated guy for four years.

Speaker 7 (06:43):
Yeah, he's my ex. First night looking at the refrigerator,
everything perfectly, all the water bottles facing the same way,
with the labels, everything of perfect lines, his draws, the socks,
the underweels folded perfectly. It felt like it was in
blooming Deals. No, it's a nightmare. It's like trying to
keep up with someone like that is exhausting. Red flag
not green.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
I do that.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
You know.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
That's the bottles, whether it's beer cans, beer bottles, wine bottles,
anything in the refrigerator. I every so often during the
day I go in and I have to spin them
half around and make sure the labels.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Are all well, that's well. You do it here in
the kitchen too. Everything has to be lined up morning ritual.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yes, you want to know a secret, Lisa. So if
I get here before Billy, sometimes I do. I mess
them all up on purpose.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
No, I knew you did.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Then he comes, Oh my god, I do the same thing.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Yeah, I just messed with you.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
And I've been totally aware that one or the both
of you have done it. And I'm okay with it
because it relaxes men to straighten the mind.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah, we're giving you something to do. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
I turn them all around every which way, and Billy
comes ready to get his coffee.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
And right away and just fix you put them on
other shelves, and I'm like, okay.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yeah, wow, all right, what a list here.

Speaker 11 (07:52):
God, this is the mayor of the ceuth Then I
have all weaven of those green flags, so that means
that they're gay or they're secretly gay.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Woo.
