Speaker 1 (00:00):
So at least we have got one final concert up
in the board for the free ticket match game.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
We do.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
I can't believe it's down to one and.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
I believe we got to give it away right now.
I want the double play, all right. We had a
winner at seven to ten. I want the final winner
at eight ten. Then we wrap it all up right
here on the Billy and Lisa Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
You know, it's so funny. We were expecting the match
game to go through this week. Yeah, we did not
expect that everybody would be paying attention and taking notes,
but they were, which is great.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
We have great listeners, great listeners.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
They played the game, and they played it right. We
need to call our twenty five eight seven seven six one.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Seven one one eight. Now let's get some doc backs.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Well, you're in the studio there, Billy, I'm in a
different studio, and you have curtains there, yeah, behind you,
so you can't see outside.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Oh, you're not gonna tell you.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
You want to take a peek ban road.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah, it's snowing.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Is that why Riley keeps the shades closed because the
winter has been so bad?

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Yeah, this is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Well, you know, what they said, sometimes.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Snow, so we got reports earlier that it was snowing
in New Hampshire. I think it still is.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
Good morning morning crew. Yes, up in New Hampshire, it
is currently sewing. I am still rocking the flip flap.

Speaker 6 (01:19):
When I was driving my.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
Son to daycare, we of course had to listen to
jingle bells and Santa Claus is coming to town up
on the housetop, so those are now it's our release. Second,
I had thank you to a three year old. But
gotta have a little fun when it's snowing out. Have
a great day, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah, April's always dicey. It's my least favorite month.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
That's it. I'm selling everything well.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I think the April showers is one thing, snow is another. Yeah,
although I did get a message here somewhere this morning
that it did snow in May one year.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Yes, I think I mentioned it earlier this morning, and
that's only because I heard Jason Michael over at BZTV.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Talk about it. We got a snowstorm in May.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
What a terrible winter it was? All right, Well, houst
things in Norwood.

Speaker 7 (02:03):
Good morning guys.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
Just in case anyone cares, it is snowing in Norwood
this morning.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Have a great day, thanks for checking in.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Hello Norwood, Hello Norwood, What about Woostock?

Speaker 7 (02:18):
Good morning everyone. This is Kerrie from Wooster, just calling
in to say this is ridiculous. It's snowing. I know
it's New England, but I'm just I'm over this. It's
April seventh. I'm not surprised because I've lived here my
whole life, but I would like to not still be
wearing fuzzy sauce and it'd be so cold and windy

(02:38):
in winter thirty five.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Come on, where's the sun.

Speaker 8 (02:43):
Yeah. I don't get any of my my spring summer
stuff out until.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Like mid May. Oh really, Oh it's just wishful thinking.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I pulled mine out like first week off.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Now you can still have to have your John get ready.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Now.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Look, this is like a roll call. We're doing the
Billy and Leasy morning shows a million.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
It keeps going a lot of New Hampshire, Boston.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah, Mike from New Hampshire.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
I'm up here in Manchester and it's freaking snowing, Snow
on the ground, snow on the cause.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Come on, it's April seventh. What is going on here?

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yeah? Thanks? Mike, we have call it twenty five in
the line here walking down at the name, Does that
say Yanka? It says Yonka, Yanka, Yank, let's find hold on.

Speaker 9 (03:27):
It's a way it's free freaking match game, Yonka.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Is that you?

Speaker 10 (03:34):
Hello?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (03:35):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Am I saying your name?

Speaker 11 (03:37):
Right?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Is it Yonka? Totally right?

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Well, good morning, Yanka. Is it snowing in Stoneham right now?
I'm sure it is. It is, yes, and I'm driving
it's crazy, thank youril. Right, all right, so Yanka, the
pressure is on.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Okay, the match game only has one more concert left
and we would love for you to take it.

Speaker 12 (04:01):
I know I did.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I didn't listen in the morning seven times, so let's see.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Okay, okay, all right, Yanka in stone number? What's your
first numbers? No?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
That number been taking I'm so sorry. On the board, No,
it's not available.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yeah, does yan could get three tries? Is that the rule?

Speaker 4 (04:22):
No?

Speaker 6 (04:23):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (04:23):
You know what, Yanka, it's the snow. It's throwing you off.

Speaker 7 (04:26):
Yeah, oh yeah, I know totally.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 9 (04:29):
That's somebody else book.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeh, It's okay.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
You've got a good spirit about it, but you know what, Yeah,
she spoiled the double play.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
But it's it's it's on the board for someone else
to win.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
You know what. Yanka was right there.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yanka was the second basement who took the throw at
second and then blew the throat at first.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, so there was no double play.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Is she the noodle arm? Is she Roman Anthony?

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah? We love you, y Yeah, and Yanka can keep playing.
We'll play again at two ten this afternoon. I predicted
I'll go at two ten the last concert, you know,
don't you? I do so the v bros And Gianna
will get it again.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Awesome. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Now, incredible news news every time, for real, for sake.
Headline refreshing news with billion Lisa on Kiss one away.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
All right, got some headlines here, Billy and Lisa. I
will read the headline. You'd tell me whether it's real
or fake. If it is real, I'll give you some
information on the story. First headline reads, A new fence
is now blocking the view of the Statue of Liberty,
upsetting locals. Real or fake.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I think it's real because I think there's a renovation
going on.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah. I think it's real too.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
I think you just made that up, but I did. Yeah, probably,
but it is real, one hundred percent real. They are
not happy. And New York people are calling out federal
authorities for putting up a tall fence at Battery Park
in New York which is now blocking the view of
the Statue of Liberty. The authority say, is to protect
the people boarding the ferry to go see the statue.
The locals, they think it's ridiculous that you pretty much

(06:09):
have to pay now to go see a statue that
represents freedom.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Oh god, if there's.

Speaker 13 (06:15):
A fence, you can't get a good shot, you can't
see anything. The irony is that you're getting on this
ship to go see the Statue of Liberty, which represents freedom.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Right, it's too tall.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Too long, it doesn't need to be all the way
through the promenade.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Take it off, they get off. Let the people enjoy, right.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I agree.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
And it's a magnificent view from the water until now.
I mean, why all of a sudden.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
They need a fence all of a sudden, It's because
they want to block the view so that if you
want to see it you have to pay.

Speaker 8 (06:49):
Oh no, I don't like that to get on the ferry. No, no, no, no,
don't like that. This is a this is a public statue.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Tear down that wall. Yeah, yes, all right.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Next headline here, a firework mishap at the hands of
two teenagers in Utah leads to the discovery of new
one hundred and thirty five million year old dinosaur fossils.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Like this is a real story.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Of fake wait repeated again.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
A firework mishap at the hands of two teenagers in
Utah leads to the discovery of one hundred and thirty
five million year old dinosaur fossils.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
I'm going to go reel on this.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
I may have seen this story, Okay, I love them.
Maybe it was just a fever dream. But I'm going
to go reel too. We're both going around. I made
this one up. This is from the imagination. Did not happen,
but but could happen?

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Yeah, true, you never know.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Next headline here a TikTok video help save a failing
family bakery real or fake.

Speaker 8 (07:56):
I'm going to go reel on this because sometimes TikTok
can help people.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I'm gonna agree with real.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Sometimes it does do good work.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
It does, and in this case it did. I love
this story so much. Happened in Detroit one guy's TikTok
video saved a small family bakery from closing. They were
very very close. They've been struggling. But this account goes
by child down Detroit paid one visit to the bakery
and posted a video about their cupcakes, and the place

(08:27):
has gone nuts. Wow, you got cupcakes flying out of
this bakery.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
It was tough.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
We were dealing with high inflation. We were dealing with
all our prices going up on all our products. He
got a six pack of cupcakes and in his own words,
he said, these might be the best cupcakes in mature Detroit.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
See that's the good part of social media, Yes, don't
you think. Yeah, there's a lot of like, you know,
not so good parts. There's a place up in the
Merrimack Valley Valley that happened to they opened. It was
like a subshot pizza kind of place. In one TikTok.
One influencer went in there, made a video in the place.
Still is blowing up minds di get in. Yeah, pretty cool,

(09:09):
And I mean that's why Bill has a.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Show Meet Boston.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Oh yeah, it's all influencers.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
And they're helping a lot of small businesses and or
restaurants and cafes.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Survive absolutely absolutely, all right, you guys are doing well today.
Last one here, real or fake headline. School board member
called a student hot during a board meeting in this
major controversy.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Okay, I don't.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I have no feeling on this one.

Speaker 8 (09:35):
So there's so many creepy things that happened between students
and teachers and in the news, like you read all
these creepy stories.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
So many creepy stories, and I'm gonna go real. Okay,
I'll go real, both going real, boy, talk about creepy.
Here Lisa school.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Board member is in trouble after telling a female students
that they're hot during a school board meeting. Here's the
comment and some reaction from board members and parents.

Speaker 14 (10:11):
There was a comment to be I guess a complimentary
by a board member that has certainly been determined not
to be.

Speaker 9 (10:20):
As a member of the school board, he is responsible
for our children's health and welfare and safety and education,
and the display he put on tells me that he
should be nowhere around our children.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
That's like, that's like skin dog territory right there, Like,
what are you doing? It is over yeah, way out
of line calling a student hot. What are you doing.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
You look pretty hot? Se that's okay. Scenting adults there exactly.

Speaker 8 (10:49):
Billy and Lisa now the entertainment updates with a Billy Godstepay,
we've done.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
You've got all kinds of book club announcements. Let's get
them out.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
There all right.

Speaker 8 (11:00):
So I have one coming up April sixteenth. You can
register for free. The registration link will be up at
nine am on my Instagram Lisa Donovan Wanawait or the
Kiss Instagram. It's Emily Franklin. She wrote a book called
Love and Other Monsters. It's a blend of Hamnet meets
pride and prejudice. She wrote Linus of Boston recently, which
was about the Isabella Stewart Garter Museum and Isabella Stewart Gardinal.

(11:22):
It's a historic novel. It's at Veronica Beard on Newberry Street.
It's going to be a beautiful event, small space, lots
of fun, you know, giveaways and stuff like that. So
the book comes out today, Love and Other Monsters Again.
Registration it's free. This is a free event and it
will sell out. So the link is going to.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Go live at nine am.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I'll add the book to my reading list.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
But I read three chick books in a row, so
I had to kind of man it up a little
bit with Projectail Mary. But I'll allow it to the list.

Speaker 8 (11:50):
This actually you could read it because it's loosely based
on Frankenstein.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
So Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein, so.

Speaker 8 (11:57):
This was her stepsister in real life, so it's sort
of like a historical novel about that part of the story.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Yeah, Okay, I'm in, Yeah, I'm in. I'll take the book.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
I read three in a row of these books and
I love them. But you know, some of the love
making scenes. I'm reading it and I'm like, I think
this is meant for women.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Yeah, and justin listen, since you're reading all these check books,
you should make sure you get the new tote bag
that Lisa's coming up.

Speaker 8 (12:20):
Oh yes, yeah, yeah, I have the Lisa's Book Club
tote new colorway coming in just in time for the
Jenna bush Hager event May thirteenth at the Newberry Whole
New Pattern.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Buddy, you got to get the dote bag. Summer's come
and you want to walk the beach with that dote bag.
I can keep all my chickbooks in the back exactly.
Pow so Noah Khan. By the way, he was a
huge part of our match game.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
We've still got one show up on the board.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
The v Bros most likely will have a winner at
some point this afternoon.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
They'll play the game in two ten and a four ten.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
And we do the talk pack for tickets with Noah
Khan every weekend, not just this past weekend, but every
weekend through the month of April. He's got those four
sold out shows out at Fenway Park, and he did
a sit down with the Jay Shetty this week. He's
out promoting the documentary that comes out next week.

Speaker 11 (13:11):
It's easy to look at somebody and be like, your
life must be so sick, man, You have no clue
talking about the mental illness stuff. It used to be
this thing that I was ashamed of. I'm just now
trying to unwind this idea that I have to be
unhealthy physically or in pain in some emotional way in
my life to create good music. If someone says that

(13:33):
I did a good job, I'm like, yeah, I'm good.
Someone says that I suck, I'm like I suck.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
You know who's good? No account, Yeah it's good.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
He actually just dropped another new teaser for a new
song from the new album which comes out at the
end of the month.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
And do you happen to have that little teaser worth
you're there, buddy. You know it, buddy.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
It's called American Cars. We'll tear this.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
So Harry Stoules has American girls and Noah Khan has
American cars.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
All right.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
I'm reading some of the comments here on his Instagram.
One person wrote, my soul just left my body. Person,
I'm going to be on the beach crying to this song.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
I love Jay Shetty. I love that he sat down
with him.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, he has a good interview too. He was on
our show.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
He was he came on.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
I made it in the top ten best moments of
twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Yeah, that was a great interview, Dwight.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
We did a great interview.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
We did.

Speaker 8 (14:40):
And I have to say I loved hearing the Noah
Khan stuff just about like behind the scenes that he
would read the comments on his ax like after a
show and he would like have one negative comment and
then feel bad about himself, like I don't know him
sharing that stuff kind of I don't know helps a
lot of people.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
I think social media can be great but it can
be destructive.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Yeah, he trying to read the comments. I made the
mistake of reading some Reddit threads once, oh myself. Yeah,
there was some bad ones. There was one in particular
which I was like, it said I was the worst father.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
I don't think I'm the best father of all time,
but I don't think I'm the worst.

Speaker 8 (15:18):
You're a great father. That that kind of stuff is
just so destructive. That's just somebody just trying to be mean.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yeah, you just can't read them. Yeah, let it go.
That's a person who's very alone.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Yeah, that's someone who's right, who's struggling, churning.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
The lights on. They're just downstairs in the basement.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Starry to pause right there before you go to the
next story, Bill, producer Riley, can you please put up
the curtain that's behind Willis.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
It's snowing while he goes to the next story, it's.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Like massively snowing.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Just wait for it, Bill, hold on, Starry to interrupt you.
But this is live, it's it's aside. Yeah, this is insane.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I'm moving. I'm moving. I can do the show from elsewhere.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Right, Well, you're going to Paris this week. That I'll
be checking in from Paris.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
What's the weather in Paris, Lisa?

Speaker 8 (16:05):
Well, when I was there was sixty five and sunny
every day.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Lisa brings the sun.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
It could be either way, we know that.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Anyway, this is freaking me out. No ye, this is
freaking me out. We gotta get out of here.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Terrible.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Hey, Carnib's ex Offset was shot outside the Hard Rock
in Florida last night. He's said to be in stable condition.
There was one report, but there have been different reports.
One was suggesting it was actually shot in the face. Thanks,
that would very personal. That's very personal, or the or
the butt. There's another report he got shot in the butt.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Yeah, that's very personal too.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
So the reports earlier stated that Little TJ, he's another
rapper he probably had beef with, was involved. Little TJ
did get arrested, but he's being charged with disorderly conduct
and traffic violations right now. That could change, or it
looks like it was a beef.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Be the shooter and he's being charged with traffic violations.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Yeah, so that could be just to hold them, but
he's definitely involved somehow in this thing.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Anyway. Good luck to Offset.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Well, that was heartfelt. Thank you for sharing, Bill, I
mean how heart felt?

Speaker 2 (17:16):
You want it again?

Speaker 4 (17:17):
What's next?

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Awesome?

Speaker 2 (17:21):
The Coachella Festival starts this weekend.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter are co hosting this time,
and the schedules came out yesterday, So as it stands,
Sabrina will do Friday night at ten o'clock and Justin
Bieber will do well.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
It's late eleven thirty Saturday night, and Bieber.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Did one another one of his rehearsals yesterday.

Speaker 7 (17:45):
You think.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
You think fans will be upset if he doesn't do
any of his classics, his old stuff.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
He has to sprinkle a few in, give the fans
what they want.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
I think he will speak chanting if he doesn't. No,
I don't think get off the stead.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
It's not that it's not that kind of crowd.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
These are just new songs. He's not used to performing
on such a big stage. Yeah, that's what it is.
By the way, there was some concern about the weather
for Coachella. Speaking of the weather here, Yeah, because it's
rained in the in the past. But the weather for
Coachello looks nice eighties, no rain. Oh, that's perfect.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
It's perfect.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
The final trailer for The Devil War's product movie dropped
yesterday and it features a collaboration Lady Gaga and do she.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
The entire castround.

Speaker 8 (18:40):
Yeah, Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt. It's
a really good script and I can't wait for this
only in theater, so go to showcase May first.

Speaker 15 (18:50):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
And by the way, Lady Gaga had to cancel the
Montreal show. She has a respiratory infection.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
That's not fun. No, especially if you're a perfore, it's
just not fun.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
And uh, the Michigan Wolverines are the national champions. It
went down last night. They beat Yukon. Here's the call.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
It's over.

Speaker 14 (19:14):
To the champions to Michigan. For the first time in
thirty seven years, the Wolverines win the Netion title.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Hail to the Champions. Our buddy Dave Fortni was there. Yeah. Uh,
and he was at the game and we go his school.

Speaker 12 (19:35):
I tried to tell people, doesn't matter the sport basketball
football next weekend.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
We're not don Pucks.

Speaker 15 (19:42):
It's the best sports program in the country.

Speaker 4 (19:45):

Red Sox lost again. They are two and eight on
the season. They now have the worst record in all
of baseball. Sports guy Colin Coherd laying out the socks yesterday.

Speaker 12 (20:35):
Well, the Boston Red Sox were an unbelievable brand from
two thousand and four to twenty eighteen. They had four
World Series titles, and they were winning ninety plus games
every year and then and that was twenty eighteen, twenty
four to twenty eighteen.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Now they're awful.

Speaker 12 (20:54):
Fans were channing sell the team yesterday at Fenway as
they were losing to the pod Race. They can't hit,
they have no bats. They have fewer playoff wins than Tampa.
So basically they're the They're Tampa Bay with a.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Really cool, big green wall. That's what they are.

Speaker 12 (21:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
They can't throw either.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Well.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Yeah, Roman Anthony had to throw from left field. He
was throwing at home for the out. The ball went
over the wall I think into some other section of
Finlay Park. It was like, well, where the hell was
he throwing? Well, you got to throw, it's a home.
The guy was almost to home. He threw to the
cutoff guy and missed him. Oh he missed the cutoff
by by a Why and I think it went in.

(21:33):
Some of the other teams dugout. Yeah, actually you're right
about that. And that's the second, very second play like that,
very similar since the season started.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Noodle Arm.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
They call him noodle Oh my god, you never well
never went noodle. Yeah, if you're especially if you're a guy.

night at Fenway, oh Man. Seven thousand fans got a
Roman Anthony bubblehead.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
You think they were throwing them in the rash on the.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
I mean, you had like a little wit noodle Come on,
who's a bigger fan than us?

Speaker 2 (22:06):
We love our Red Sox.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
They got to turn it around.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
Uh, it's so early, we need to back off. Okay,
it's very early in the season.

It is many games least.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
Well, the last time you went in the booth at
Fenway Bill they won, so you could be the good
luck that.

Speaker 4 (22:23):

Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester again this year.

Speaker 15 (25:19):
Well you remember last year I was in here to
announce you, Lisa, as one of our award recipients. We
honored you at the New England Leadership Women's Award, and
you've been so gracious to join us again this year
as a member of our committee, and.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
Yeah, what's cool.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
And Lisa, Lisa occasionally will still wear the crown in
the studio.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
I don't want to give it up.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
But I was there that night last year.

Speaker 15 (25:40):
It was found so much fun and Lisa looked fabulous.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
It was fabulous.

Speaker 8 (25:45):
It was honestly like such a beautiful event because all
of the nominees, I mean, you know, I got to
meet all of them and hear their stories. And the
process in which that you used to pick the women
in our community to to be honored is so special too.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
So can you tell us a little bit about how
you do that?

Speaker 15 (26:06):
Well, we think about who has had an impact on
the larger community like you, Lisa, especially through your book club,
and how you elevate other women using your voice in
this equipment in this studio to bring attention to others
and to really uplift others, and how you do that
with young people too. Throughout the course of the evening,
we engage the young women of the club in the

(26:29):
awards ceremony because they are the future. In this year's
theme is leadership in Bloom. We really want to uplift
the success of the women we're recognizing this year through
the voices of the girls of the club.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Weren't you like blown away? Last year?

Speaker 1 (26:45):
I was very busy taking videos of you accepting the award,
delivering your speech and everything I was, you know, I
was straight.

Speaker 15 (26:57):
It is well And this year we're honoring three very
special women in the New England Women's Leadership Awards evening.

swimmer and a motivational speaker. So where set in the
bar Hi for her remarks? Wow, she is very much
connected to.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
And a gold medalist and.

Speaker 15 (27:19):
A gold medalist and an author. She's got a book
coming out. I gets it on mental health and I
think it's she'll be really impactful that evening, And yesterday
she had an opportunity to meet some of the girls
of the club in preparation for the evening. We're also
recognizing Grace cottter Regan, who is the head of school
at Boston College High School and the first female president

(27:44):
of DCHI. Isn't that exciting?

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Exciting?

Speaker 15 (27:47):
And she's very very local, hyper local, and we're excited
to recognize her and then last but not least, Kimberly Williams,
doctor Kimberly Williams, who is the CEO of Match Charter School,
Dorchester Girl Club alumna and we're just really excited. She
as a youth, as a young person, was an award giver.

(28:07):

at the very first NULA many many years.

Speaker 8 (28:14):
So now it's come back full circle. She's being honored.

club and it's hard to go anywhere in the country
and find a place as special as the Boys and
Girls Club of Dorchester.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
It's just incredible.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
It's put out a lot of really impressive people the
club itself.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
And we continue to grow.

Speaker 15 (28:43):
We've got the fieldhouse plus digging in the ground steals
going up, incredible facility again that's going to support thousands
and thousands of youth.

Speaker 15 (28:57):
The asyby kids came out, that's the thing.

Speaker 8 (29:01):
I was able to visit and the kids just run
in after school and they have friends there and they
do whatever they they their activity of choice and they
can do their homework or they can play a sport.
I mean, it's it's just such a wonderful place for

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Is it right near the Eiffel Tower?

Speaker 8 (33:08):
No, the hotel is not, but one of the one
of the hotel I mean one of oh my god,
one of the restaurants.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Says no. Lisa told me before the show this morning,
he was staying at a hotel that overlooked the.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Eiffel Okay, I'm gonna tell you I said that. Okay,
because I was on the hotel's website.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
This morning, and you know, when you go to the
gallery the videos, the video had a woman standing on
her balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Where was she? She's an imposture.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
So it's not get her out of my hotel.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
No, it's it's within walking distance. But it's not like.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Maybe she had like one of those high end suites
or something.

Speaker 3 (33:45):

the morning.

Speaker 4 (34:18):

lot about Lisa's book club. It's a great event. Lisa
started a couple of years ago, a few years ago.
She's just gotten bigger and bigger. Obviously Deve Portnoy and
Jenna bush Hagar. But if you've never been and always
wanted to go to a book club, today's your day.

Speaker 8 (34:35):
Emily Franklin will be joining me at Veronica Beard on
Newberry Street on April sixteenth. It's a very small venue.
We've had a book club there before, gorgeous store, and
we are going to be there with Emily Franklin and
her book Love and other Monsters. It comes out today.
It's like Hamnet meets Pride and Prejudice. So it's a
historical novel loosely based on Frankenstein and the stuff. Sister

(35:00):
of Mary who wrote Frankenstein, Mary Shelley.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Yes, yeah, So if.

Speaker 8 (35:05):
You like this kind of thing, you're gonna love meeting
Emily Franklin.

She's a local author.

Speaker 8 (35:09):
She actually happens to be my son Max's best friend.

Speaker 3 (35:12):

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Yeah you hit his car?

Speaker 3 (35:17):

It's free, So hit the link.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, I would go hit the link, but I'm currently
being internationally hacked.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
I've never seen anything like this. What's going on with
Bill's computer in his office. It's a good thing. You're
going to be off the next few days. It's I
can't even describe it. I took a picture. I'm going
to post it on my Instagram pretty serily. You have
to see. It's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
His two layers and layers flashing warnings and warnings and everything.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
It's only Bill, only Bill. We had one winner on
the match game this morning. There are two prizes, well
one left now, but there were only two seven ten,
Louis Tomlinson went, that means one prize left. Eight ten
did not get it right, so two ten will probably
be the last shot at the match game. One big
concert left. It's great contest, the free ticket matchup. Oh,
it's been a lot of fun. Been a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
You know what. We always have new listeners that want
to play along.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Hi, guys, just wondering, we're new to the match game.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
What in the number of blocks one to.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
What number I need?

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Give us a little a little history of that between
end of the game.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
I would day a little late to the game, but
that's okay, It's all right.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
We'll play the match game again. It'll likely come back.
This is, you know, fourth or fifth time we've done it.
There were fifteen prizes, thirty numbers on the board. You
match two numbers, but you have to pay it attention
to each play four times a day, seven, ten, eight, ten,
and four to ten, take notes and figure out what
numbers aware and then be caller twenty five at those times.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
Right yep.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
Our topic time this morning was from our talkbacker, one
of our talkbackers about restaurant pet peeves, specifically restaurant lingerers,
the people who go in and sit there for hours
and drink and have fun and hold the tables. They're
table hogs.

Speaker 6 (37:24):
If you're going to linger at a restaurant or a
bar for more than two three hours, you better be.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
Leaving us at twenty percent tip.

Speaker 11 (37:33):
That's all I gotta say.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
At least, I mean that goes without saying you're hogging
the table.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
Yeah, you got it. My biggest pet peeve at a
restaurant is when you go with a group of people,
like a larger group, and they'll wait is already like
an hour, and then you sit down and you're starving
and all you want is a meal, and then someone at.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
The table's like, let' twitter nachos to start, and then you.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Have to wait double the time for the meal because
the appetizer is going to hold up the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:58):
Selfish, selfish people.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
And there's always the one person at the table of
ten who stands up to say, I'll just order the
appetizers for the table. How about you sit down and
mind your business, all right, I'll order the appetizer I want.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
Okay, pal.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
We've known some of those people, that's for sure.

Speaker 10 (38:16):
It used to be a restaurant we'd go to on
occasion called the Roadkill Cafe and they had a tag.

Speaker 4 (38:22):
Did he say roadkill?

Speaker 3 (38:23):
He's awful?

Speaker 4 (38:24):
Is that not real?

Speaker 3 (38:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Well, did we have that guy in the show yesterday
that roadkill.

Speaker 10 (38:29):
Yeah line that they would come up if you were
lingering and say, you know, if you don't leave, we
can't miss you. I thought that was pretty effective.
