Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boy, what a what a crazy Friday show, and every
Friday show is crazy, but this is beyond crazy.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
By the way.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
That was brand new from Nile Horn. I love him,
I love his sound. He's going to be in town
next year, right justin.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Ah, Yes, next April.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
And aren't we doing something with Nile Horn a contest
of some sort.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Glad you mention that kiss whinweit dot com. We're given
out tickets to the show. You can enter and win.
It's easy. Kiss went to wait on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Okay, And we've talked a lot about, well, the chaos
that's coming to Boston this summer between the two hundred
and fiftieth. We've got Sale Boston, We've got the World Cup.
It's going to be an insane time all of these
major events. And we have yet to mention another major
event that's come in to town. And these are the
No Fame Games direct competition with the World Cup, I say,
(00:47):
but these are going to be happening rain or shine,
June thirteenth, that's next weekend. And we've got Josh here
from the No Fame Games. Good to see you, Josh.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
Yeah, thanks having man, I'm so happy to be here
this is awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Now this event is in Milford, Massachusetts. Why did you
choose Milford?
Speaker 4 (01:05):
I live in Milford, so it's write down. This is
five minutes from my house.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Now when you walked in. This is a competition of
a different kind because when you walked in you said
you throw giant stones, And I said, have you ever
been hit with a flying stone? And this was off
the year you said yes I have.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Yeah. Yeah, you got to stay alert, you know when
you're throwing these heavy stones.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Well they also throw telephone poles. Yeah, now how does
that work?
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah, that's supposed it's an amazing history. It supposedly comes
from the logging industry and Scotty lads were looking for
how do I have some fun and throw some trees around.
So it's one of the most iconic events in the
Highland Games. And I mean that's just one of four
championships we have going on next weekend, but that's probably
the most iconic event because you have to pick this
(01:51):
tree right and then carry it, run with it, and
then flip it end over and and.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Some of these hold on recap that again you pick
up the tree and an entire tree and then what and
then you.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Run with it and then you try to flip it
end over and the visuals are it's so cool.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
So I see and people travel from all over the world.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Oh yeah, so we have people coming. Well, we're hosting
the inaugural Celtic Strength World Championship now, so we've grown
that much. And yeah, we have people coming from South Africa, Italy, Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Netherlands,
all over the US. There's former world champions, former like
five time world record holders.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Are they're championships up for grabs next weekend in Milford.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
You'll be able to see there definitely be people coming
who can break world records, particularly like a shot put.
It's called the Open Stone and the Highland Games.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
And justin this is right up your alley. You're wasting
all that muscle and all that strength in the game.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
It's no real strength. By the way, with the gym
this how heavy are the stones?
Speaker 1 (02:52):
He had to have them buried here?
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yea, So we so the stones that you that we
throw one it's called the Braymartoss and that's around for
the sits around twenty five pounds twenty to twenty five pounds,
and then for the leaves it's around fifteen pounds. But
then there's this stone lifting, so that's a whole other
element to this. And that's actually a crowd participation event
that we have with people were flying in people from
(03:14):
Ireland and Scotland, like the legends in this.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
And how is it a crowd participation So.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
People can come up and t we have kids from
from like four to four years old until ninety years
old just grab a stone so that we have a
station and so there's a ladder and these these legends
will teach you how to pass on the tradition of
stone lifting, which has an amazing It take me forever
to talk about it, but it has an amazing history
and tradition. And also with thee the Celtic diaspora in Boston,
(03:41):
there's this there become these like repositories of memory and
of connection and identity and of community and of bringing
people together. So when you're touching these stones, there's like
hundreds of thousands of people, so.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
This is like a Celtic festival.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Oh it's a total kill and they were killed, you
know idelogy, So you're very mel Gibson, you know.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
This.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
I mean, everybody has to go to this. I mean,
I know, we got the World Cup, we got all
this other stuff, but what is happening next week is
it's so powerful and what's the most amazing. There's a
saying in Irish it's and that means there's no strength
without unity. And what we're doing is bringing all of
these people together that are heads of and legends and
(04:28):
all these different realms. Yeah, just to come and have fun.
It's about community. And yes, there's going to be incredible athletics.
I would put any of these athletes up against any
NFL player, NHL, NBA. These are it's they deserve the
spotlight too. Like, this is an amazing display of athleticism.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Okay, hold that thought for a second, because if you've
just tuned in to the Billy and Lisa Morning Show
and you're saying, how are they talking about? Well, this
is an amazing event. Is it next Saturday?
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Next Saturday?
Speaker 1 (04:58):
And it's called the No Fame Games? And like, okay,
so there's stone lifting, there's stone throwing, and the log
and tree toss. That's your specialty, right.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I love that. I love it.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
When you keep around the backyard, I.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Will not because I want to make sure everyone's having
a good party and having fun. So it's my responsibility
and duty. But the gents, the men and women that
will come to you watch them throw these these cabirds.
They are big trees. So that that's just one event.
Speaker 6 (05:28):
I mean.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Then we have what's called the Team Highlander competition, which
is teams of barbell clubs from all over New England
come together and go to battle at each other and
they have a wagon wheel deadlift, a truck pull. Oh
we have they're going to do caber toss for distance,
so it's a little bit smaller cabra but they have
to get it for distance. Then there's natural stone lifting
over bar so you'll get to see the stone lifting.
But there's people who compete in the World's Strongest Man
(05:50):
that are coming.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Oh, the guys like that pull trains, airplanes and what's.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
So cool about that is it's camaraderie. They have to
work together. Yeah, so that's just that. And then we
got the Celtics wrestling, so we're bringing back there's wrestling. Yeah,
there's there's Colornoble wrestling used to be practiced by George Washington.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Boy's wearing kilts and wrestling. That's got to be a
sight to see.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
It was like the original supersport and we're working with
the federation that's trying to revitalize that and there's pro
fighters coming out for that, so we get to see
some fixes.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
They're jousting on horseback.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
No, but we're going to have Irish stick fighting. So
if you ever see.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Okay, hold on, I love that. What is Irish stick fighting?
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Oh you know the lucky from the Boston Celtics logo,
right leaning, So that's actually called a chilele and there's
a massive history to what that is. Yeah, Lee. And
so there's actually an ancient form or is more older
form of martial arts from Ireland and it's called batadoc.
It is I mean, it's so there's a long history
(06:49):
and because of the penal laws and colonization and what
happened with how they were taken over, that their weaponry
was taken away, so what they they turned to sticks
and particularly black form because it's so they're so dense
and so it's a full marshal hold.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yeah, okay, pat a picture with a stick.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
It's as big as a bat or it's as big
as so.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
It really depends you want to get a a schalele.
That's pretty much if you put your fist together and
it reaches past about an inch from elbow to elbow,
So it's just for swinging. And yes, of course it's
a walking stick. And there's history that they usually lose blackthorn,
which is a really hard dunce, but there's also a
lot of cultural history and identity to the blackthorn.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
And yeah, so do.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
You have a soundtrack to the event, like Watson Matilda.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Or something you say, because we're sponsored by Red Bull
and Red Bull's going to bring a live DJ and oh,
I think we.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Have a suggestion. What are the chances you had this earlier?
Bill Prince just dropped a brand new song. It's called Stone.
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
No Frame Games.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Tickets are twenty dollars and kids get in for ten dollars. Yeah,
so it's you can go to No Famegames dot com.
That's how we're bringing all the thing together. With the ticketing,
there's family packs. That's how we support. But you can
also do a Celtic Ambassador ticket as well, like if
you can't make it people, people can come in and
just support because it's it's really it's not for us.
It's not really a money maker. It's really about bringing
(08:15):
the people together and having fun and community.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
You're gonna have a lot of Celtic food. We are
bangers and mash. We actually a lot of sausage. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
We also have some smoke outse we gotta get. I'm
a chef by trade, so like you know, I got
a big show.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
That's right. You went to chef school with a dear
friend of ours, Chris Combs.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Yeah, yeah, old friends.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
What are the chances that I know you guys are
throwing stone? What are the chances that you guys could
throw billy?
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Is there human tossing maybe signs a liability whatever?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Yeah, anything's possible.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
I want to come and be tossed.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Well, what's what's really cool too? We got a whole
kids station, So there's like a kid tug of war
against the pro So you see like forty kids against
these five huge giants.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
And there's a history that they can learn as well.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
There is that.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
You know.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
What's also really cool? We have a what is Celtic
Strength panel discussion? So we're bringing in professors from Harvard University,
Boston University, Boston College, two cultural educators from New York
and Boston to come and talk about what is Celtic strength, Like,
what is strength? Just the physical feats, but the emotional strength,
mental strength, the cultural strength. What does that mean? And
that's never happened before. It's we're just thinking outside the box.
(09:24):
It's like an amazing part of beer gardens.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Is there any like good old fashioned bear fisted fighting.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
They're actually going to be bare enough of boxing.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Written are you going to go just I'll bring my friends? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Oh yeah, Well there's you know, there's gonna be two
crowd participation stations. One is a circuit where you can
if you complete it within two minutes, then you're going
to be able to put your your name goes into
Winter's Raffle. And then there's also what's called Zurcher Squad station.
And Zercher Squad has become a really.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Squad.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Yeah, we'll see what the borrow of your forum, Yes exactly.
It's because of its crossover power. It's been become really
vital for people in stone lifting people and strong man
But what's really cool about that is there's going to
be some some cats that are there to go after
a seven hundred pounds single Zurcher squad. So that's what
if you don't know that's that's you don't see.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
That really that's in your forum?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
It is probably yeah, yeah, so you squat. Yes, it's
a really great Is this guy from he's actually from
that guy he runs a top strength project in Providence.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yes, Wow, Okay, listen, this is an event we have
to go to everyone.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Everyone in Boston and New England has to come to this.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Yeah. I'm going for the cher drop. What is it?
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Squat?
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Okay, I mean, I hope something else.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
It's June thirteenth, it's next Saturday.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
What time does it start?
Speaker 4 (10:51):
So opening ceremonies at nine am. We got wan I
sing in the national anthem. There'll be the Scottish and
Irish national anthems. There'll be people coming from Ireland to
give speeches. There was a poem written about us and
what we're doing, and you.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Know, to quote Mel Gibson, there'll strengthen you. I can
see it.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
I try. It's it's really given back to like everything
that our ancestors did to make this happen and make
us here, it's our duty to give back.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Josh, thank you for coming in. Is there a website.
People can see some pictures and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (11:20):

tickets right there and also on Instagram. It's no Fame
Game without the s. And there's all our visuals. We
have the really good high end videography. You got to
check that out too and follow us.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
While again nine ten this morning, we'll play it again,
the whole song.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
How does she come up with these lyrics? It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
It's actually cool, like what she talks about it.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
You know, she saw an early kind of screening up
the movie Toy Story five and inspired her to write
that song. Right, He's a songwriter, So there you go,
Nia Horn. We had that earlier this hour at eight ten.
He's got a new album, new song. It's called Taste
So Good. And I made a little booboo earlier. I
mentioned a contest on Kiss Went Away Instagram.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
So the show, the Nile Show at the Garden is
next April, so it's a lot of time. We'll have
tickets to it, but we're not. There's no tickets on

how you say that word discography that's a weird word
discog Yeah, yeah, plus a vinyl of his album cool.
So if you're a big Nile fan, go and enter
(13:10):

Speaker 2 (13:11):
He's like the nicest guy. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
I like him. I like it sound a lot.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Yeah, he really is a great guy. Alex Warren coming
to Boston. That show is July thirteenth. New album Wild
Child is coming out August twenty eighth. Here we go
first single, it's called Passenger.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
So, yeah, it seems like a nice guy. Is he
getting sick on the tour? I think? Did we talk
about that earlier this week? Yeah, a little something because
he's like.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Out with fans, He's like shaking their hands, like touching him.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
And yeah, he goes into the crowd, which there's a
lot of germs there, especially if somebody's pheromone maxing. Oh yeah,
makes it even worse. We talked about that at seven forty.
If you missed it, I also knew the World Cup
album is out. It features a ton of songs. We
went from Shakira to Nellie Fertado, Bill Major Laser. It's
(14:06):
called No Place Like Home. I'm telling you all these
songs are anthems. They were made for soccer. It seems
you know what I mean, World Cup Baby?
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Oh yeah? What else? You want to skip the Madonna
or you want to throw it in. I want to
get it in there. You want to hear what it
is the summer of Madonna.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Madonna fans listening.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
That's what they're saying. She got a new song out.
The album's coming out July third, By the way, Confessions
to This one's called Love Sensation. And of course we
are playing the Sabrina Madonna song bring You.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Up Right, And that's where it all started for Madonna. Yeah,
the Madonna reboot if You Will. They performed together at Coachella.
The song became a hit. She performed it last night.
She had a surprise concert in Times Square. Let's go
there for a second.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, she did a little a little singing, but most
of it was just tracks, very little sing although she
doesn't have to.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
She's Madonna.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
She's singing at Coachella. Did we ever find out? I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
I can't tell.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
I think they were saying tracks. Yeah, but that's what
they all do. And now, because of the Coachella performance,
she has an album coming out July three. Yeah, and
she'll co headline the World Cup halftime show July nineteenth
with Shakira and BTS. That's going to be good. It's
got to be good, right, BTS, Shakira and Madonna. It'll
be fun. Hey, the guys from five Seconds in Summer
(15:34):
invade the TD Garden two night justin give it to Me.
I love it, underwhelm.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Yeah, yeah, I'm pretty sure. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Remember they came to Kiss concert twenty eighteen on a train.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yes, yeah, I took the train to the show, didn't.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
I busted on him, I said, I came by train.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Were embarrass You were embarrassed for them? Yeah, they're super cool,
very cool guys.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
And producer Riley's going to be at the show tonight.
And are you going to get the tattoo?
Speaker 5 (16:10):
Okay, So there's a pop up a tattoo pop up
in the seaport for five seconds summer fans, where you
can get a star after the album Everyone's a Star.
It's from eleven to seven, and I would like to
go for this for the bit, but if I have time,
I'll try to do it for you guys. But I
am not committing to anything.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Okay, let's say physically you can't go. You at least
have to draw a star on your hand or with
a marker. Yeah, okay, actually that would be funny.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Just see that time. Is that eleven? Sorry? Eleven? Pretty sure?
It's a lot easier, yes, to draw it. Just make
the appointment.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
I got to get a tattoo at twelve thirty, and
I don't want to relate.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Leave here, go there, right to the.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Seaport, all right, and you may have an interview backstage
for five songs, and if that's the case, we'll bring
it to the show Monday morning. And either way, we'll
have you recap.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
On the show Monday morning.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
If you do get the interview, make sure you bring
that up about Kis concert and them coming by train.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
I already planned to that was gonna be my opening line.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Scary Movie is in theaters this weekend. Any of us going, Lisa,
you going? The noise going?
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Depends on the weather, right Sunday would be a better day.
Speaker 6 (17:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Yeah, It's a classic franchise when you think of it.
And I still love the fact that Marlon Wayans himself
was in this studio months ago giving us the exclusive
that yes, there will be a new Scary movie.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
It was actually quite a moment because you brought up
the Scary Movie franchise, just how much you loved it.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Then he just dropped the bomb. It's coming out now
here we are. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
By the way, the new Matt Damon movie, The Odyssey.
Everybody's talking about that. They had another pre sale yesterday.
The demand was so high at least they they shut
down the site. Yepecon ticket.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Yeah, I did this massive massive movie.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
And then I heard people are paying as much as
one thousand dollars for a ticket to see the movie. Well,
hopefully we can with Showcase go to a special screening.
Oh the look up.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yeah, we'll see it maybe, and you know you're the.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Princess Showcase field trip trip.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
A lot going on in sports. How about It's Stanley
Cup Finals Game two last night? Hurrah Kanes won it
and overtime if they score the game winner overtime, God's despair.
Fay Star Stars cracks like they got the billy at
least the show bump. That's what happened last night. We
(18:42):
were saying Canes all the way, and they went all
the way. They did it last night. The series tied
at one game apiece. Now NBA Finals tonight, Nix and
the Spurs Game two, The Knicks up one game, Ziplets.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Catch Game one in San Antonio. Timothy Shallome was in
the stands. No, he was in the stands.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
He wasn't on.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
I love that he couldn't get a seat.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
It doesn't matter he maybe he couldn't, but he was
real fans. He's not there for the gram. He was
sitting amongst all the other people, and there was a.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Little thing at the end of the game they're talking
about now. It's all over the news with Brunson. Apparently
one of the fans was you know, yeah, he went
mouthing him from the stands. He went to the ref
and then after the ref left, brunts has started walking
at the guy. Yeah, and then they all got in
the way.
Speaker 6 (19:31):
And uh.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
He actually talked about it after the game for a
couple of minutes. Said I'm not talking about that. They
questioned him.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
He said, no, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Talking about He doesn't want to give that person the attention.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
What's his name? Didn't try to jump in Latin?
Speaker 1 (19:45):
If he did? Little Timothy, he weighs about one hundred pounds.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
I know, yea. I throw him at the stone lifting
event in Milford. What Timmy doing?
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Hey, Kelsey Brothers, you yesterday talking about AJ Brown joining
your New England Patriots.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
He's going to be just fine in New England.
Speaker 8 (20:07):
Man got Drake May throwing them the football, got a
great offensive coordinator, obviously a great head coach. They just
got back from playing in the Super Bowl. Man, that
New England team was already really good, and now they
just got you know, arguably one of the best receivers
in the league.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
So you know, Travis, talk up those Patriots. Let's go
the season comes.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
I might sing a different song, but you know what, Hey,
they went to the super Bowl last season. Okay, all right,
there are only two teams that make it to the
Super Bowl, and the Patriots were one of them. And
we brought you by the ninety nine restaurants. Now at

fake headlines, kind of we went kind of late with
Josh from No Fame Game. That's a cool event next
weekend in Milford. That'll be on the podcast. Check that
out if you're interested stone throwing, weightlifting and throwing. But
(22:01):
really fake headlines, so that means more from Monday morning
at eight twenty Yeah, I'm just saying. Also, the Ariana
Grande get away, you got the first half of the
phrase at seven ten, four to ten, next half of
the phrase, if you get it called twenty five you
went Ari tickets and qualify for that Chicago trip as well.

Pheromone maxing, pheromone maxing.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Yeah, this is a crazy one hot hot topic that
means not showering for a long time. This is what
people are doing. It's a trend and because they say
it's going to increase their attractiveness.
Speaker 6 (22:43):
Yeah, the longest I went without a shower's ten days,
and definitely not by choice. I spent some time in
the army and when we went out to the field,
it was baby wipes or water from your canteen to
hit the pits in the slits, or what my mom
called was a horror bath. And everybody walked around snowing
like be and baby wipes and it was the most
disgusting thing. I will never forget. I have a great
(23:04):
weekend off.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
I never heard of that. I never heard that phrase. Yeah,
I thought it was a different phrase.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Often what you were referring to with splashing things on
your privates in certain areas with hands soap, it's called
a bird bat.

That's what I thought it was, not the other one.
I didn't think it was the other one. Oh my god.
