Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, good morning show in Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the morning. It's just a great
start to my day on kids run Away.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Well, hey everybody, and a good morning. Welcome into the
Billy and Lisa Morning Show. It is a Monday. In fact,
it is the start of jingle Ball Week. The jingle
Ball coming up Sunday night. The TD Garden completely sold out.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, boy, the final preparations are now in the mix.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Yes they are. I got my jingle Ball outfit yesterday.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I bet you did.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Spent some time over at Ghibli's Fine men's clothing.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
What up, morning, crew, Noah the Caddy here. I went
out to Ghibli's this afternoon for the Little Women's event. Anyways,
met Billy the Billy Costa for the first time, and
Jenny Johnson, who I share some common friends with, so
that was cool. And of course Allen was there folding
looking at stuff. Mentioned that Billy looks good and white. Anyways,
(00:57):
good evening now, but good morning when hopefully his plate.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, Noah the Caddy came into Ghiblis yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
That's so cool.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Chap me on the shoulder. I turned around. He handed
me a golf ball with my name on it.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Oh my god, what a great gap. So does he
look like a golfer?
Speaker 5 (01:11):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, he looks like a golfer's constantly on the move.
Speaker 6 (01:14):
It's fitting. He brought a ball. He is a caddy,
so yeah, fitting he did.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Before he introduced himself, he said, hey, great to meet you.
I listened every morning. I've got this for you. And
he handed me the golf ball on a couple of teas.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
So how long is he home for? Because I know
he kind of travels the world golfing.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
I think he's home for the holidays, as most of
us are.
Speaker 6 (01:34):
Yeah, it's funny, though. He gave you some golf stuff
when you don't even golf never ever.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Well, I golfed once or twice, but I get bored
and like by the third hole. I was golfing once,
actually with Matt. I think it was in Mexico or
someplace like that. And the third hole, I'm saying, I'm bored.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Running eighteen's a lot. I'm more of like the nine
and nine.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
I gotta be moving, you know, I got to be moving.
It's a lot of downtime. Remember that. And then you
left and bought golf pants.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yes, well, you look the part Bill.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, I actually bought a pair of golf pants. That
was the highlight of the golf trap. That's great. By
the way, for golfers out there, I highly recommend Alberto
golf pants. They're very nice. Uh sold by the way,
Kimblies clothing that they are so Yeah. So that was that.
The Ghiblis event went well yesterday and our cookbook was
(02:24):
a gift with purchase and Jenny and I signed a
bunch of books. So we all had a good time.
Speaker 6 (02:29):
Yeah, I'm sorry I did not make it. I was
hoping to, but we had to go see Santa and
Missus Clause.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah. Well you're all locked into the young kids holiday stuff,
you remember, I mean you guys remember the Yes, my
weekend's are full just activities. Santa. You know elves. You
know where did you where did you bring them to
see Santa?
Speaker 6 (02:51):
They had an event at the Boys and Girls Club Salem,
New Hampshire.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Oh that was nice of Santa to drop in and
Missus Clause too, so Missus Claw.
Speaker 6 (03:00):
Yeah, then you had that. Then you had the Polar
Express going to the movies.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Oh, yes, I remember the Polar Express. Yeah, that's a
great movie.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
It is a good movie it is. Oh, I thought
you took the Polar Express because used to work that
every year.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Well, there was a train that they would remake into
the Polar Express experience.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yeah. Didn't you get stranded in the snow one year
or something? It it broke down in the middle of it,
did it.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Everyone had to get off the train.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
It was a loft doorm.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
We only had to walk on the track.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
The Polar Express broke down. Yes, it's magical.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, somehow it just gets down. Yeah. Yeah, well it
made it more memorable.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
I was at the snowpart this weekend.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah, how was that?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
It was great the holiday market. They've got some amazing vendors.
I took a lot of pictures. I'm going to go back,
great food vendors. I had this part of a cheese
sandwich that i've It was like next Love.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
I saw the video of that cheese house. Did you
eat some of that?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
I had a bite or two of it. I'm telling you,
it was the best thing I've ever.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Had in my entire life. Three cheeses in one sanwich.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I was like like pshoodo and pickles.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Yeah, you would have loved it.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Oh, yes, it was quite the Sandwich.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Okay, and that's at Snowboard Seaport. Yes, my buddy Dave
has a Harvey Traveler has a both.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
We stopped in there. It was really nice. It was
well set up, and I think your cookbook was in there.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Too, Harvey Harvey Traveler. You know, Bill, you are an author. Well,
you know, like I want to make a big deal
about it. You got a beautiful cookbook out there.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Well, a few people in my life will be getting one.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah. By the way I put your orders in, you know,
I've got a you know what's funny, I've got to
buy a few books.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
Actually I would. I'll actually buy one a couple to
give out his gifts to good.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
I'm doing and making have billy, you know, make a
nice to be able to.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Get a discount price. Really Yeah. Well the thing is
that whoever I give them to is just probably going
to regift them. But still it's a just thought that counts.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Well, that's why you have to get them personalized so
that they can't.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Oh yeah, like you signed them to whomever. Yeah, that's
what we do. Yeah, person, perfect funny story. So when
we did our first book signing, right and you guys
may have come to that. Was that your book club?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
It was?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
It was, Yes, we had hundreds of people, so no,
this must have been a different It was when Jenny
and I did the book club, okay, yeah, And so
we're signing the book and I signed. Jenny was sitting
next to me, and I said, you can tell me
if this is wrong. But I signed my name with
(05:35):
XO XO and Jenny thought that was horrific. Is that
all like an insult or something or sexist thing? Or
was just trying to be nice? Well, just not that way.
It was just a friendly yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Oh she thought it was too forward.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
No she I think she thought it was sexist or something.
Am I going to get canceled for signing?
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I think it's sweet. Lord knows, I think I think
it's fine son it.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
I can go back to signing with the XOXO.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, whatever you want.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Okay, it just means love, It just means yeah. It
was a friendly gesture.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Kiss, hug, kiss exactly exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I'm not looking to make out with anybody, you know,
not inviting them to a hotel room. I'll just put
XO innocently like it's fine. I wouldn't worry about it,
so it's not creepy. No, maybe that's what I'm thinking.
Jenny thought it was creepy.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
So I'll buy a book or two and then you
can sign them and i'll give them.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Okay, do you want me to do the xoxo? Yeah? Please?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss, one of eight studios, we're
back with the Villy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Hey guys, and welcome back. It's really cold as you
wake up and your head out this morning. But Lisa,
the strange thing is it's going to get even colder
as the day progresses.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Today exactly, so we're talking windschill temperatures in the single digits.
And I want to mention that the Green Line is
shutting down for two weeks starting this morning until December
twenty second, So North Station to babcop Ken More to
Heath Street. They are bussing you can use the Orange
Line fair free commuter rail.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
So this is this is tough. So it's waiting in
the cold for the buses.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Right because they're they're fixing the tunnels that have been
in existence since the eighteen nineties.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Well, I don't forget as you're waiting in the cold
for the buses. This morning or anytime. You can just
keep us on in the opart app.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
We'll keep you semi warm, right at least warm.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
And obtained well warm your belly, baby, well if we
do hopefully, if we make you laugh, that's movements eight heat.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
It'll distract you, yeah, from being gold from how cold
you are?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Right, and you know what, they can participate in our
iHeart Rewind, which is something I want to talk about
right now, if that's okay, Lisa, yep, and Justin. I
don't know enough about it, but I love what I
do know already. Yeah, I'll take it from him. Yeah,
please do someboy, make everybody ment well.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
On the iHeartRadio app, you can open it up and
there is a rewind for this year and it'll give
you all of your data, so that means all the
music you listen to, everything you did on the app,
it'll show you and it'll tell you how many minutes
you've listened to this radio show the radio station, tell
you how many talkbacks you left. So we started this
on Friday and people are like leaving talkbacks and everything. Yeah,
(08:23):
I think we have a new winner. So oh, we
got a bunch and we just want to say Thank
you to everybody who listens to this show, who participates.
We appreciate it. We appreciate you letting us know how
long you listen for.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
One of guys scoop of Steve here.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Eighteen thousand and ninety five minutes.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Shocking to me, shocking.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
And number one channel all the channel I have your
PRECID just went away.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Got to make us your number one precent. But didn't
we have somebody at thirty seven thousand, this guyon Friday
getting there. Oh okay, my way, all right?
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Giving everyone see Lisa, he's jumping ahead.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah he can't. He gets so excited.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yes for eighteen thousand right now.
Speaker 8 (09:09):
Hey, it's Sarah for me, And I just looked at
my iHeart rewind and I've listened to Kiss One to
Wait for nineteen thousand, eight hundred and six minutes, and
it didn't tell me how many talkbacks I've left. But
I know that I've made Billy Costa laugh at least once,
And honestly, that's the only real statistic.
Speaker 9 (09:29):
That I care about.
Speaker 8 (09:31):
Have a great day.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Bye, Yeah, shout out to Sarah.
Speaker 6 (09:35):
Yeah, you have to keep swiping through all of the
the data, the slides and eventually you'll get to tell
how many talkbacks you left. All right, so at nineteen thousand,
now pretty good.
Speaker 10 (09:44):
I listened for over twenty seven thousand minutes. So I'm
not sure if that counts the podcast as well or not,
because I often listen to the podcast. Said I'm in
the top temper ship, but it didn't tell me the
number of talkbacks, so maybe I didn't really find it.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
Twenty seven thousand pretty good. What's going on with the
chalkback count?
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Do you have more in there?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
I have a ton more. I have a ton more.
Speaker 9 (10:07):
Good morning guys.
Speaker 11 (10:08):
This is Jen and Brian from Brockton. We heard about
you guys asking everybody how long they listened to your show,
and we did the math and it totaled thirty one thousand,
two hundred hours for a little over thirty years.
Speaker 6 (10:22):
Wow, that's combined. That's two people, thirty one they put
them together.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yeah, okay, we'll take groups. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
I got a DM from a listener over the weekend
that did this and said that they listened for fifty
two thousand minutes.
Speaker 6 (10:36):
That would be that would take the cake. That would
be the highest for sure.
Speaker 12 (10:40):
Yeah, Good morning morning crew, Happy Monday.
Speaker 13 (10:43):
I don't know if anybody else is feeling the story,
but I am exhausted, Like I feel like you could
sleep another ten hours. Anyway, I found the rewind and
I've been listening to you guys for thirty seven thousand,
five hundred and three hours, and I.
Speaker 12 (10:57):
Will do it all over again.
Speaker 13 (11:00):
Love you guys, Thanks for.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
All you do.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Thank you. Yeah, thank you. Thirty seven thousand. Wow.
Speaker 9 (11:06):
Hey guys, So listening is my first official talk back.
But somehow I managed over this past year to recruit
forty four thousand minutes of listening to kiss one aweight.
Don't know how I managed it.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Thank you. That's big. That's the highest that I've gotten.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yeah, this person was fifty two thousand.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Well tell them to leave a talkback so you can
hear there more. It was just a random person.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Yeah, it was a random person.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Yeah. So what you're saying is we're on our way
to fifty two thousand. It's a lot of minutes, man,
that's a lot of minutes. Wow. Yeah, Can I ask
you a question about this rewind Now, us being here
basically listening every morning for four hours or so, does
that count for us? Oh? For us? Well, this is
app listening, so we can't do both. Ah damn.
Speaker 6 (11:55):
These the people that listen on the app because you know, remember,
there's multiple ways to listen to our show. You can
turn on the radio in your car, you can listen
on the iHeart app. You're Alexa at home, Tell Alexa
play kiss, want to wait on iHeartRadio. There's many ways
to listen to this show, so we appreciate it. And
then of course we have the Talkbacker of the Year
coming up. That'll be next week.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Oh, that's right, it's coming up soon. A lot of
people buying for that. Happy Monday.
Speaker 14 (12:18):
This is Kim Hey on Friday Show. Justin you said
you talked about making the Mayor and Icon instead of
Talkbacker in the Year and giving someone else a shot.
So in the words of Lloyd Christmas, so you're telling
me there's a chance, I'm officially, as of today, throwing
my bra in the ring. I would throw my skims
Mrking in but it's currently at the groomers. Come on,
(12:42):
make me Talkbacker the Girl Power five.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
That's a strong one though. It's good. That's a strong
entry right there, telling me there's a chance.
Speaker 6 (12:52):
Yeah, there is a chance. Wow, it's not going to
be the mayor. We decided we're not gonna.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
I don't want to upset the mayor with an icon award. No,
we can give him an icon award.
Speaker 6 (13:04):
Yeah, but we're not going to give him Talkbacker of
the Year again.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
So the rule is we can't have back to back
talkbacker winners. Well what are they all finding for? I
think so? No, Well, the mayor won last year.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
Yeah, so this year it's going to be somebody different, okay,
as opposed to him again.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Well, I just wanted to chime in on this one.
Speaker 15 (13:22):
I don't think that you should be able to win
Talkbacker of the Year back to back because some talkbackers
dial it back once they win. Myself, and you know,
I kind of feel like somebody new needs to be elected.
And I'm going to go ahead and second Billy's lover.
I think that dude is hilarious when he calls, especially
(13:43):
for Belly.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
I think he already left one this morning too. Let
me see. Oh really, oh.
Speaker 13 (13:53):
Good, especially Billy.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Listen. I was going to do the rewind, but what's
the point.
Speaker 9 (13:58):
I already know it's kids went away all the.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Listen, Billy, you can send me xoxo anytime.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
Oh, oh God, we have some deciding to do here, guys. Yeah,
the talk backer of the Year. That might be an upset.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (14:14):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
We're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Okay, So the jingle Ball is this coming Sunday night,
So it's crunch time, Lise, Yes, it is crunch time.
No better time to win tickets than last minute, right,
So here's the deal. I've got the ticket tag name.
We're gonna call it in a minute. This person, if
he or she gets back to us within fifteen minutes,
they'll get a pair of tickets for the jingle Ball,
(14:41):
but they will qualify last minute for their grand prize
least the Ultimate.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
VIP, and it is the ultimate because you get to
sit in the front row, which never happens. You get
to go backstage and meet an artist and have that
cool experience. We're gonna put you up in a hotel
for the night, and you get to go to one
of the jingle Ball parties.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Imagine why everybody else is trying to get out of
the parking garages when jingle Ball ends. You're just gonna
walk into your hotel room and go to bed showtime.
I'm just saying, okay, So here comes the name at underscore,
Emma Herrero. I'll do more one more time at underscore,
Emma Herrero. You've got fifteen minutes to get back to us.
(15:22):
So let's go, Lisa.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Now the entertainment updates with a Billy gobstad On Kiss
one away.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Alright, this Monday morning, let's talk some football. The Bills
beat the Bengals yesterday. Great game, by the way, What
was going on with Joe Burrow back to back picks
late in the game. It was almost like he was
lobotomized right before the end of the game.
Speaker 6 (15:42):
Yeah, that first one was crazy at the end when
the Bills guy just jumped.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Up and grabbed it. And then the next one was
like a short four maybe five yard pass and right
into the arms of somebody else. This is at the
end of the game. Yeah, it's gonna be a good
game this Sunday, Pats Bills. Yeah, but the Bills are
looking good as they had to Foxborough to play the
Patriots on jingle Ball Sunday, one o'clock kickoff out at
Jillette Stadium this coming Sunday. Now, the Chiefs lost again
(16:10):
this time to the Texans. The Chiefs not mathematically eliminated,
but pretty much out of it. The buzz question, if
the Chiefs are knocked out, does Travis Kelcey retire. Patrick
Mahomes asked about it yesterday. Yeah.
Speaker 16 (16:26):
I mean every season I've had with him these last
few years, I try to cherish because you know, you
never know. He got himself in great shape this year
and then he's played great football and he'll have the
option to do whatever he wants to do after the season.
But I know one thing is he'll give everything he
has the rest of the season to try to give
(16:46):
us a chance to make a playoff run. We know
the chances are getting lower and lower, but I know
the guys on this team are going to give everything
they have every opportunity we get.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
I thought they had to win every game.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
I thought that was last week. They had to win out.
Speaker 6 (16:59):
They now right now they have to win every game,
and then they need some luck. They need other teams
to lose to make the playoffs.
Speaker 17 (17:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Do you see Travis retiring if they have a season
where they don't make the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
I think he'd be crazy not to. I think he
should when.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
You look at guys like, do you think he should
retire getting married?
Speaker 1 (17:18):
He's broadcasting, and you've got guys like Michael Strahan, Tom Brady.
They're all doing fine postseason, so I think it would
be a good idea to retire anyway. The Monday night
game tonight the Eagles and the Chargers. Celts got their
fifth winning a row yesterday they beat the Raptors up
there in Toronto. ELTs are looking good, Bud. Yeah, five
(17:39):
in a row, baby, looking good. Sportstown, USA, By the way,
who the thunk started the season? Patriots have the best
record in football and the Chiefs would be out of it. Wow.
A little concerned about our buddy Dave Portnoy. Oh yeah,
he lost his mind yes your day, ranting and raving
(18:01):
about the Broncos Raiders game and what he says was
a sinful finish. He wants Pete Carroll jailed or even worse,
investigate the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
What are they doing?
Speaker 1 (18:17):
That's the worst beat of all time?
Speaker 3 (18:19):
That is cheating.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
I gotta rewind this. This is the worst beat of
all time. Pete Carroll should be in prison. Prison for
Pete Carroll. First of all, the reps, everybody, this is
prison prison, Pete Carroll, Pete Carroll murdered. I want to
Carol murder right here.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
I think this is over the We think maybe he
lost a lot of money.
Speaker 6 (18:45):
Likely, yeah, yeah, because he of course has to do
with money, of course it does. But the murder part
is that was.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
That was you don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Too much?
Speaker 1 (18:56):
And wasn't he alone at home the shell? Yeah, I'm
sure miss Peaches was there, but.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Oh god, he had a Miss Peaches t shirt on.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Again, little unhinge even for Dave Port. The Golden Globes
are coming up January eleventh, and Nikki Glazer is gonna
be back for a second time as your host.
Speaker 7 (19:19):
Everyone who's there kind of like knows what I'm about now,
And I think last year they were all kind of
like like just bracing themselves for impact of like what's
she gonna say? Is she gonna make fun of me?
And I think this year they'll be a little bit
more down to play with me. And you know, when
the camera goes to them when I say their name,
They're not gonna be like like what's she gonna say?
It's gonna be more like of a playful thing where
I can like interact with them and there's some there's
(19:41):
a familiarity there because I felt like last year I
had a little bit of imposter syndrome of like what
am I doing here? All these people are gonna be
thinking the same thing. And I think last year I
proved myself that like, Okay, I know what I'm.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Doing, and everyone's gonna.
Speaker 7 (19:52):
Be more relaxed.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
She was amazing. She's the funniest woman on the planet.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Timothy Shallomy had eyelashes on his upper lip. Where is
tim Shallow? Timothy were hi? Timothy?
Speaker 18 (20:02):
You were greatest Timothy Shallow this year too?
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Really?
Speaker 1 (20:05):
And I love you?
Speaker 18 (20:06):
And can I just say you have the most gorgeous
eyelashes on your upper lip.
Speaker 7 (20:10):
I think this is just such a good luck.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah. See, now this year, everyone will know what's coming. Yeah, yes,
you know.
Speaker 6 (20:16):
So when she says someone's name in the audience, like
oh boy, oh she was great last.
Speaker 18 (20:20):
Year, wicked, queer night, bitch, these are not just words.
Ben Affleck yells after he organisms these are compathy, incredible
movies nominated tonight.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Oh remember the Brady Rose, which he said, Tom Brady,
you've got seven rings. Well, now that your wife gave
hers back golden Globe nominations come out this morning at
eight point fifteen. Interestingly, Marlon Wayans will be announcing some
of the nominees. He was in this studio just recently
(20:54):
on the Billion This Morning Show.
Speaker 6 (20:56):
Yes, he was, and he is one of our top
moments of the year. Don't get We're gonna be counting
down the top twenty five moments of twenty five for
this show. That's gonna be an end of year special.
And little Lattis Malowayans is one of the top twenty five.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Ooh, by the way, the movie Sinners Wicked for good
Hamnet all expected to do well this morning for TV
the Studio Wednesday, Nobody wants this Abbott Elementary obviously, Stranger
Things all expected.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
To do that, and one battle after another Leo DiCaprio movie.
They're nominated in almost every single category.
Speaker 11 (21:30):
Three.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
I was long. I didn't see it yet.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
I went to the theater. We went to Showcase and
we saw it. Great movie.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Oh my god, I forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
See it. It's very good.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
I'm going to watch it today in honor of the nominees.
Did you see Sinners, Lisa?
Speaker 2 (21:42):
I did?
Speaker 1 (21:43):
What'd you think?
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (21:44):
I was I didn't know what to expect. Yeah, it
was really scary.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Really didn't like it, No surprising, I didn't like it.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
It was great, it was good, it was scary.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
It's okay. We all have different days. Yeah, it's okay.
I mean, well you do watch below Deck, but you
know that's fine. Okay. Now I have an admission. I
have a confession to make. Yesterday, for no reason, halfway
through the movie, I landed on Serendipity, the movie with
John Cusack. Who watches a John Cusack movie is Kate Beckinsale.
(22:20):
The movie reminded me of the cross I used to
have on Kate Beckinsale, and it was definitely warranted.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
I'm trying to think, oh, you know why that rings
a bell? Jeremy Piven is in that. That's right, he
was in here.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Earlier this year talking about that movie. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Wow, yeah, that's a classic.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Just found myself watching another chick movie. But back to
the Golden Globes. There's a brand new category this year
for best Podcasts. So you know Joe Rogan's going to
be mentioned. Call her daddy, Mel Robbins, Oh yeah, Mel
malle Yeah. Yeah. So that's eight fifteen this morning. So
we'll be on top of it. In the next Entertainment Report,
we mentioned stranger Things. Millie Bobby Brown on Fallon That's
(23:00):
she talked about the moment she and the rest of
the cast found out about the ending and what it
would be.
Speaker 19 (23:05):
No one knew anything, and Noah and I made like,
you know, there's thirty cast members on the show. It's
such a big cast. But we made thirty friendship bracelets
for everyone with charms that described their personality. So when
we went in, we gave them to everyone and it
was just a really wholesome day. Like we didn't sit
at a table, We sat on couches and we just
(23:26):
cried for basically two hours straight.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Now, the next three episodes, by the way, drop on
Christmas Day, and Timothy Chalomey's new movie, Marty Supreme comes
out on Christmas Day. He plays ping pong player Marty Supreme.
Gwyneth Paltrow is also in the movie. Chalomey showed up
at the Red Carpet in Japan.
Speaker 20 (23:45):
If I don't like good movies, don't see Marty Supreme.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
See they agree with me.
Speaker 6 (23:51):
Mar see that it was dancing to soldier boys.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are Instagram official. They were
posting videos and pics of their trip to Tokyo. Powerball
tonight eight hundred and seventy five million dollars up for
grabs and now this garbage. Singer Shirley Manson flipped out
with a fan tossing beach balls at a show. We
(24:23):
have a clip.
Speaker 21 (24:24):
Oh good, if you're a big beach ball.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
I'm so scared of you, so thrilled by you.
Speaker 12 (24:34):
What a trunch stag?
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Okay, literally next week, want to beg people to go
over there to.
Speaker 12 (24:41):
Punch you in the face.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
It's disuspectful.
Speaker 21 (24:45):
Musicians had enough.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
We're fan of looking.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
I'm fan off to play produce spags.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Like you you're middle l snack and a ridiculous hat.
Speaker 12 (24:57):
I literally want to ask people.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
To punch you a.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (25:05):
Well okay, it's well documented that Shirley Manson's only happy
when it rains.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
You know, happy winter.
Speaker 6 (25:12):
Okay, But they turned on her because originally they were clapping.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
She was urgently to beat the guy up. Yeah, that's
when they turned on Oh man, We're brought to you
by the ninety nine restaurants give the perfect gift this
year ninety nine restaurant gift cards. They are the perfect
gift for everybody on your list. Every twenty five dollars
you buy, you get a five dollars bonus card for yourself.
You gotta love the nines And there you go.
Speaker 21 (25:37):
Good with your good, beautiful.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Lisa. So just when you thought you were overwhelmed by
the holidays and the gift shopping list that you're looking at,
oh boy, you gotta hear this. TikTok. Mom's list outrageous.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Okay, So this mom and from Idaho. The daughter is
eleven years old and she came up with a Christmas
list worth fifty three hundred dollars.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
Well, she broke it up into different lists too. I
mean it braces yourself for this race exactly. This was
the first Christmas list my preteen.
Speaker 12 (26:14):
Is going to share with you her Christmas wish list.
Speaker 20 (26:17):
First thing, I need the most mini fridge my doctor
Pepper in there, okay boy. Second, the pink pomp puffaddy
and the dark blue so the dark blue one with
the pink on the back.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Cute.
Speaker 20 (26:29):
And then we have the glow recipe do drops because
I ran out of mind, so I need this again.
Speaker 12 (26:35):
And next and iPhone seventeen.
Speaker 21 (26:37):
I need this, need it.
Speaker 12 (26:40):
I need Mary Jane's.
Speaker 20 (26:42):
During the drunk.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
If you didn't know, Bill, okay, I have a parent,
you do.
Speaker 12 (26:49):
Her face needs to feel good. Then the benefit Ibrad Jell.
Speaker 20 (26:55):
This stuff is so good, like the genes that have
like sweatpants under them, you.
Speaker 21 (27:02):
Know, so it kind of looks like these, but like
they're jeans.
Speaker 12 (27:06):
That got its.
Speaker 20 (27:07):
Three more things okay, the Lululemon leggings in the color black.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Can't go wrong.
Speaker 20 (27:12):
Okay, like matches everything, the Tower twenty eight spray and
the big one. I have this moment silk okay, and
that a hoverboard that those one.
Speaker 12 (27:26):
It's gonna be a good Christmas.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
I know.
Speaker 12 (27:28):
That feels like a very reasonable Christmas list. I know,
like it's not too much.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Yeah, okay, So then she she had another one.
Speaker 6 (27:39):
She had another one with more expensive stuff. This is
the second Christmas list.
Speaker 20 (27:43):
Part two of my Christmas wish list. First, the black
Samba jeans.
Speaker 12 (27:48):
Those are cute.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Okay.
Speaker 21 (27:50):
I want the newest Apple Watch.
Speaker 12 (27:52):
So that'd be perfect because then I could get in
contact with you better when you're with your friends. Yeah,
that's a good one.
Speaker 21 (27:58):
I've also heard the Chloe krit she perfumes smells so good.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
This is good.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
I want a.
Speaker 21 (28:06):
White fox sweat set and the light blue cherry one.
Speaker 12 (28:09):
Oh, I love that one.
Speaker 21 (28:10):
I know it's cute one. My mom hasn't heard about
this one yet. I want a hairless cat. She wanted to.
Uh huh.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
I guess how much the hairless cat.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
It's twenty five hundred dollars fund.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
I don't know who's worse, the kid or the mom.
The mom's like she is, you know, Yeah, it's a
little bit of rage. Bit.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
I think some of the okay, again, I need to
mention this child is eleven years old. Yeah, and some
of these gifts are very adult in nature, wouldn't you
say for an eleven year old?
Speaker 6 (28:42):
Some are Yeah, I mean some of the stuff I
can get behind the hoverboard.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
You know, those are fun for a kid exactly. But
I don't think the kid is going to fall on
its face.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
Once you learn how to do it, it's okay. But
this mean there's a lot of issues here right, issues
is about not at all. You gotta teach your kids better.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
This home is in desperate need of therapy or something. Yeah,
Although I mean Lula lemons are good. They're a good purchase. Ye,
that's annoying.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
That's a special purchase right for Christmas?
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Yeah, they she could have stopped at the Lulu Lemons.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
The iPhone seventeen. I mean, who here has an iPhone seventeen?
Speaker 1 (29:20):
I do not.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
I do not either, do not. Okay, so we're all
grown adults, gainfully employed, and that's all.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
I have.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Everything else right that she is expected? Now, what was
this strong?
Speaker 2 (29:31):
She's eleven eleven.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
I think that they need to do a little bit better.
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (29:38):
Look, look, look like my kid has a Christmas list.
There's a bunch of stuff on there. I don't know
how many things are on there, maybe ten. Right, he's
not gonna get everything on the list, right, you know,
get a couple of big things and a few small things.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Exactly manage the expectations.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I think the mother is encouraging it, which kind of
scares me. Well, yeah, instead of just saying what are
you want of your mind? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (29:59):
Well because mom posted the video on her Yeah, yeah,
so obviously she is and she's her on Yeah. I
mean I want to know if she's going to get
all these things? Is she going to buy her all
these gifts or Santa.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
I should you think there's a chance Santa's going to
bring everything?
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Do you put a limit, like an amount?
Speaker 1 (30:22):
We try to?
Speaker 2 (30:22):
Okay, yeah, what's the limit?
Speaker 1 (30:25):
You mean monetaryly?
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Monetarily like I.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
Would say a thousand maybe? Yeah?
Speaker 9 (30:34):
Each?
Speaker 1 (30:35):
No, just yeah each? Sorry? Each? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (30:38):
Well, because like my son will get a couple of
big things and like some other small things, you know,
so the big things will be, you know, a few
hundred dollars each.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
How old is able? Now he's eight years old, you'll
probably get them Harley this year. Now, I mean, you know,
we're trying to go too crazy. It's hard, man, It's
hard like giving your kid the life that you never had,
you know, and then also teaching them about gratitude. I
know the feeling, I know the failing tough. I definitely
wanted my boys to have more than I had. But
then where's the limit?
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Well, we as a family, we would always wait until
the holidays to buy something like if they needed an iPad,
or if they needed an Apple Watch or like the AirPods,
like to wait for the holidays to give that as
the gift.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Rather than just going out and randomly buying it. Exactly.
Why don't you wait and see if Santa brings it
for Christmas? Yeah, I mean, yeah, that's what we put
it on the list. That's what we say, you know.
Speaker 6 (31:32):
But I was I was actually explaining it to my
son recently about the Wonderfund, you know, the which we love,
and you know, buying gifts off the Amazon gift lift
for gift lists for kids that don't I'm not getting
any present, right, And I was like, you have to
understand some some kids are getting nothing, like they're depending
on maybe getting one gift, you know, So this expectation
(31:53):
that you're going to get all these things is just
not going to happen.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
Some of Christmas is supposed to be a you're setting
yourself and your child up for disappointment very much though,
because then they open the gift and it's like.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Well, because next year, what's on the list. Next year
it has to be bigger and better?
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Yeah, right, like Bill probably has to up the dollar
amount every year. Okay, you're thinking of yourself now, No
enough for me, for the kids, not for me. Cash
is king. According to the latest service, Cash is King.
Cash is King.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Now it's topic time for the billy and Lisa in
the morning.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
So TikTok Mom went completely viral because she posted a
video she her self asking her child, an eleven year
old girl, about her list for gift giving, and it
was outrageous.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Well, it totaled fifty three hundred.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Dollars eleven years old, Yeah, and included an seventeen.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
An Apple, an iPhone, seventeen an Apple Watch, and a
twenty five hundred dollars hairless cat.
Speaker 6 (32:49):
Yeah, of course, what about that? What about the eyebrow thing.
Speaker 22 (32:52):
Lisa, Lisa, you can vouch for this eleven year old
to not need eyebrow jel and a lot of the
other stuff little girl on it, but eyebrow down.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
I know. But that's the thing with these teens and preteens.
They're going to places like Sephora and Alta and they're
picking out all of this like skincare and makeup that
is just not for them necessarily.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
What is what is eyebrow gel?
Speaker 2 (33:18):
It just basically keeps your eyebrows in place. You can
have it tinted.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Where would they go, Well, where would your eyebrows go?
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Well, it just keeps them in place, you know, it
just sort of fills them in. But in my experience,
like when you're young, you have the most gorgeous eyebrows,
like and eyelashes, And I.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Got to tell you, I'm looking at you and producer Ryley.
You both have some really nice eyebrows.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
That's because we're using eyebrow gels.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Well, there you go. That's why she asks for That's
exactly why.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
This is the perfect example of why children should not
have open access to the Internet. We should be protecting
our children from the Internet for as.
Speaker 5 (33:59):
Long as possible.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Yeah, good luck with that hits.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah, really that's that. Yeah, that ship has sailed.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:05):
Even when you put even when you put the parental
controls on things, sneak through they do.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yeah. It's really tough.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
It's so frustrating.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Yeah, they're designed to sneak through.
Speaker 6 (34:15):
Yeah, it's it's not easy in this twenty five year
of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 19 (34:20):
Yeah, after listening to this girl's wish list, she's giving
me for Rucas Salfies from Lily Long on the chocolate factory.
Speaker 22 (34:28):
She sounds like a spoiled brat.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Her mom has held many.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Oh is that the girl that ate all the bubble gum?
She just kept growing?
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah, have Ruca salt. Yeah, oh god, I do. I
do pick that up. But I blame this mom because
A she's encouraging it and B she's using the child
to get followers. Yeah, it's like rage bait.
Speaker 23 (34:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:48):
Remember that was the word of the year at one
passionary retreating. Yeah, this is it because guess what we're
talking about it Yeah, you know, yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
That moment, daughter is a lot.
Speaker 17 (34:57):
I hate to judge parenting and lifestyle and what people
can afford, but that's a lot, and it sets super
high expectations even for other children that are watching that.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
That being said, my fifteen.
Speaker 17 (35:12):
Year old put on a fourteen hundred Canada goose jacket.
I've never worn anything on my body for fourteen hundred dollars,
so that's going to be a no.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
That's a hard now.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
So it's good you're letting her know. Right here in
the billion leads in the Morning show, it's a no, yeah,
just fine. Care god yeah again.
Speaker 23 (35:35):
Alison from Attleborough here and reflecting on that kid's Christmas list,
I think it's totally fine for a kid to dream
big and want X, Y and Z thing, but then
it's up to the parents, Like you guys said to
monitor those expectations and have a conversation about gratitude and
(35:58):
gifts in general.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Yeah, it's it's true. Manage the expectations early on, because
you're just setting your kid up for years of you know,
just not being satisfied.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
And this mom is encouraging it, right, which doesn't help.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
Yeah, I mean it's got millions of views these videos.
I'm sure people are talking.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
I think there might be a third list too. I'll
have to track that down.
Speaker 24 (36:22):
I just wanted to share that. One year when my
kids were probably in their late teens, had Christmas time,
I asked them to name what they had gotten the
previous Christmas, and there was dead silence because no one
could remember what they had gotten. But they did remember
doing karaoke and singing and some of the games that
(36:43):
we played. So I just wanted to share that. And
I bet if that mother asked that little girl but
she got the previous year, she wouldn't remember.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
It's so true. That's such a good point.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
I feel this so much.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Right, It's about being together. Yeah, that's the most important thing,
and you're right, that's what people will remember.
Speaker 6 (37:00):
Well, think about your your your own childhoods, yes, think
about do you remember every gift that you got for Christmas?
Speaker 1 (37:05):
A couple maybe, but I remember like family.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
And I remember my dad decorating.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Yeah, uncle and Aunt's coming.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Back for big yeah, big holiday family dinners.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
I had an uncle Russell that was famous. It'd come
over and we've got a quarter.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Oh I have an uncle, My uncle Arnold gave us
a quarter.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
But you know what, back then, a quarter would get
you twenty five pieces of candid.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Yes, it would went a long way in that quarter.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
It was actually penny can. It went along when it
was fun getting it. Give me three of the you
look forward to it. Yeah. And one of the most
disappointing things during the holiday when you have young children
is you know when Santa comes and you're opening the gifts,
that they open it and just push it aside and
go for the next gift. That like it's like they
didn't even see it. Yeah, Oh, what's the next too much?
(37:49):
Oh that's hurtful.
Speaker 6 (37:50):
Yeah, But I really, I really I agree with that
called talkbacker. You know, like I remember family parties, I
remember Yankee swaps would my family, you.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Know, but I don't. I don't really remember any of
the gifts that I got. You know. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 22 (38:05):
When my kids were little, I used to tell them
that if they weren't good after Christmas, the elves would
come and take presents back. I think we need to
send some elves to this family's house.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
Yeah, maybe they need the elf on the shelf. Yeah,
just bring a van and take it all back. How
you doing now? Eleven year old? Again? Nothing?
Speaker 5 (38:25):
Hi guys, Marlene and Stoneham, Happy Monday. Just wondering how
you best explain to your child why other kids don't
get as many gifts as they do. We do all
the lists, the giving tree, but still ask the question,
and it's a tough one. Hope you have a great day.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Bye, yeah, well said well laugh, yeah I think that
you know, Santa comes and brings gifts, and then we
also buy gifts from us too, right, from mom and dad?
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Yeah, they always know something's coming from mom and dad.
Right right. Let's go to Michelle on line one. She's
in Worcester. See what she has to say. Hey Michelle,
how you doing? Michelle?
Speaker 25 (39:08):
Hello?
Speaker 3 (39:09):
Billy?
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Oh hello, we're doing fine. What have you got for us?
How's your Christmas list?
Speaker 10 (39:17):
Well?
Speaker 25 (39:18):
I'm one hundred and fifty years old, you know, and
so when we were little. There were four of us
in that family, and my mother spent one hundred dollars total.
That was too much. She always had to, you know,
budget the money and things like that. I was just
happy to get a raggedy hand doll.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
That's true, even if it was somebody else's before, Like
it's secondhand, raggedy ann, it's still raggedy ann. I'm just saying,
be grateful for what you.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Get, right, Well, I feel like everyone gets so many
things all year round too. That's another point to make
that the holidays used to be you'd wait for Christmas
and you'd write your letter to Santa for that one
thing that you really really wanted.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yeah, maybe Santa will bring it right. Maybe an iPhone seventeen.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
That is so wild to me, Like that girl is
eleven going on nightmare. Imagine being her first boyfriend at
like what fourteen or so, and she dumps you because
you don't have too grand to spend on like chocolates
and jewelry for her. She's learning it somewhere. It's got
to be the parents. I don't think that any normal
(40:27):
eleven year olds are making less like that. And yeah,
good luck. Live in the single life with your thirteen cats,
