Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, week are live. Hi everybody,
it's the After Show. Welcome in. Thank you for looking
us up, thank you for you know whatever app you're using,
the iHeart app, Spotify, whatever, for taking the time to
log on. It's a big day. It's it's Monday, September
twenty third, but it's a big day. There's some celebrations

(00:21):
that need to be had with you know who over here.
Winnie never been to a gay wedding.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Maybe now it's your chance.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
It's gonna be the first time ever.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Now I'm just kidding. So everyone thought you were married, right, yeah?
Or get engaged?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Well, in their defense, your followers and myself, you posted
the signature hand with the ring, bro. I know, people
try ton't even look at the ring, the ring, you
just they saw the hand.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Okay, but the ring was not an engaging ring. It
was like a little band with a cross on it.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I know. But the ring doesn't matter, matter matter.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
If you think I would accept if kJ proposed me
with that ring, she wouldn't have a girlfriend anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
How many carrots would you like?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Ah?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Why to follow up?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Go ahead, answer, I'd be cool with like one to two.
One's good one and a half. Oh okay, now, yeah,
lab diamond. I wouldn't care. I actually told her that
I wouldn't care.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Jen actually told me the same thing.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I wouldn't care. They look just the same. They're very pretty,
and they're technically diamonds. I would prefer her spend less
money and get a bigger lab grown diamond, then spend
and then then get like, spend more money to get
a smaller real diamond, right, because you can get a
really nice lab grown diamond for like a quarter of
the price.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Okay, yeah, well gay Wedding, here we come.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Billy and Lisa in the Morning Present, a behind the
scenes look into Boston's favorite morning show.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
That's a little too much information. The after show podcast
Who appears justin any winning? So who knows? Maybe that
day will come Winny, Oh yeah, we'll see maybe. No,
you never know.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
You never know.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
You really don't.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I'm like getting towards marriage age.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
You could wait, I know.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I mean, I'm not getting tru we're not getting married
in times too.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I'm just saying it's never too late.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I did say that this that I am at this
point my life dating for marriage. I'm not dating just
today right, how old am I? Like, I'm not twenty one.
I feel like even at twenty one, I was dating
for marriage. I'm a love girl.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
You know.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
We always say with our friends, you know, because there's
a couple of us who are, you know, late thirties,
early forties and don't have a significant other, which is okay,
which is okay, you know, but we always poke fun
at them.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
We're like, you gotta be to find someone. It's okay
to be alone too.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
But I mean maybe people are alone because they want
to be or whatever.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
But sometimes they don't want to be.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
You know what, It's really hard to find someone because
it really is you know what, it is a lot
or most of the good ones are taken, right, Yeah,
that's how it is.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
And trust me, I have friends. I have a friend
of mine that just went through a breakup and he's
back on the market. And let me tell you it's
not fun.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Bro. I uploaded the podcast the wrong way. Is that
a big deal?

Speaker 3 (03:07):
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Like, like, instead of going chronological order, it's like opposite, Okay,
But if I have to re delete them and then
download them again, it's going to be like too annoying.
I don't think it's the big video.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
So it's backwards.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yeah, like so the first episode place like the second
half of the episode place first.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
So it's not an order. That doesn't sound right. It's
gonna be an order. What are you talking about? Remember
last week you bragged about how much better you were
than producer.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
It was better. I just said it was quicker, faster,
which I've been doing it a lot longer than her.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
I should be right. Yeah, it takes time.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
To edit, and yeah, it's not that I today edited video,
edited audio, produce the show, talked and did social media.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
You know, what do you want? Way you did your job.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
I know you picked up the multitasks of producer Riley.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Well, it's it's like going back to one. We had
another producer that didn't do anything. I did everything.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
One point. It was Billy you and I.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Oh that was tough, and we did it. We killed
it too, for like six weeks. Yeah, it was hard.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
You gotta roll with the punches. But anyway, we're back.
After a weekend. I had a good birthday. I didn't
do much, spent it with the family, fan Bam went
out to dinner Saturday night, Smith and Lenski had a
great steak.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
That was really nice.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
There was another couple that was supposed to come, my
friend Alan, but the daughter got sick.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Oh, it was just Jan and I. It was good, Yeah,
it was. It was really good. Good night out.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
And then you know, it's tough with kids because you know,
my mother in law was watching the kids.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
So it's not like we can go out. We went,
it was at six, We got home at like eight.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Did you have a little nightcap? No, you didn't have
sex on your birthday? No, you didn't have birthday sex. No, damn.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Well you know you have children.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yeah, but you like to have sex on the weekend.
You said that's the only time sex anytime, the only
time you expect it.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
I do look forward to the weekends.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
But so, did you have sex at all this weekend?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yes? Okay, yeah, good, just not that night because well technically.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
It was your birthday yesterday. Did you have yesterday?

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Right?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Right?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Right? I may have, but it was good.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
My brother came over with his wife, my sister in
law in there, my nephew and my dad came and
we did ice baths.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Did your mom come?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
My mom did not come, but she called me. Oh yeah,
she her and my dad did not know.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
When I talked to her, she said, she doesn't know
what she goes.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
She has no problem, no, no problem at all.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, she's like I think she was saying, it was
more her ex husband and your dad.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but you know she she'll she'll.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Come when she came back to Gema's party and everything
was copaesthetic and your mom and your dad are opposites. Yes,
it's insane, Yeah, because I've met your dad plenty of
times and he's a very sweet man, but like just
a little bit more reserved. Your mother's out here telling
me explicit details about her personal life. I was here for,

(06:09):
don't get me wrong, things that I won't I won't
even tell you about. I don't want you to feel
weird about what?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Like what?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I don't think you want me to tell you my
unit not yours? Oh? His? No?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Oh? What just say it?

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Are you sure?

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Is it about me?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
No, it's about your mom, it's about my mom?

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Oh then I don't care.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Are you sure?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
I'm positive?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
She said, because she was letting me know that she
knows she moved back down here. She's no longer with
her ex husband, that's right, And she's loving being down here.
You know, they have the she has a triple decker
with your brother, right, And I was like, okay, you know,
talking about maybe her dating again, and she said, oh,
I got my vibrator.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
I'm good, all right, Yeah I'm not that.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I was like, okay, she does a better job anyways.
It's like, okay, Kathy, Yeah I love this for you.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Yeah she's a little nutty.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Oh I don't need it.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Yeah. Well, she's in grandma mode now.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yeah, she loves. She's saying she loves because with your kids,
she doesn't live with you, guys, Nanny lives with you.
And she's like, she's like the nanny of her household
now with your brother.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
She never got the full grandparent experience with with my
children because of nanny. It's just the way it was.
But she's getting it now and she's, let me tell you,
she is living up to it.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
She's like, I want to have another one right now.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Well, you know what's good is that my brother and
her kind of had a not a bad relationship, but
they kind of didn't always see eye to eye. A
lot of a lot of that was because of my
you know, my stepfather, right.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
But also, like, didn't your dad kind of raise Alex
a lot by himself, just the two of them early on.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yeah, she came in and took him away, you know,
because I was a mess. Ye But yeah, so they
they always did it. But but her now him living
downstairs and her helping with the child. Dude, they're like,
I don't think ever gonna move. Best friends, they were
all about moving.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
They were only there to save money.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
They have so much money saved, I bet, but they're not.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
I mean, where are they gonna like they're gonna leave
when they have built in nanny right now?

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Well, that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Why would they leave?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
I know they won't.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
They won't leave for another few years. If they have
another kid, yeah, they'll be there for five more years.
I guarantee you.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
They have mad money, like hundreds of thousands.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
I mean, okay, they both they're both in healthcare.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah right, yep. She's a pharmacist, right.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
And you're brothers and nurse yep. And they're good with
their money. And they don't pay rent.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeap, they pay a little bit. But what they what
they also do is they they are really taking care
of the house. Yeah, they're like paying them for mad stuff,
heating all that stuff as I should.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
My brother is the opposite of me. I mean, I'm
not terrible with money, but he's like, does not spend
any money. He saves like eighty percent of his check.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I love that for him. I'm not that way. I'm
the opposite. Yeah, I splow eighty percent of it.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
You know where he gets his clothes from me? I
give him my clothes. You don't want them to Yeah,
every time he comes over, I'm like, hey, I take it.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
I remember when we went to the Celtics game when
we got invited. That was so awesome of them to
invite to the suite, right. You brought him obviously was
the playoff game, and that man spent bokus of money
merged like he had never and You're like, oh my god,
he never spent money on anything. Like he was just
like throwing it at them because he was so excited
to be if.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
You remember, you know, we were what's the area the
club level?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Okay, so in the club level they have the marching
shirts and merged, right, I think he thought that it
was exclusively regular Yeah, because he was so amazed that,
you know, there.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
KJ and I went to a game in like April,
and we were also on like the club level, and
her and I went and she bought She bought like
a jersey. Then she bought me like a sweatshirt, and
I was like, they were the same ones at the
other places.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yeah, yeah, it's the same, Yeah for sure. But yeah,
he'll drop money on stuff like that. You know, he's
helped me before, especially like early on when I wasn't
making a lot of money. He's just really good with money.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah, you know, paid off his student loans, cars, paid
off Who is this son he was talking about yesterday
about mutual funds.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Oh yeah, I don't even know what the fuck that is. No, dude,
I have no investments. I am my only investment.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Yeah. I have a little bit, but not not.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
I still had that doge coin, baby, you know, I
looked it up. I looked it up right now. When
I looked up last time, it was worth like six
urnd bucks.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
That's not bad, No, it's not bad. I have what's
called XRP.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
It's a crypto and there's rumors that it could it
could blow up and be really big. Yeah, so let's
see how many I own, right, now whinnie. So right now,
I own I bought in pretty early, so it's pretty good.
But I own I own four thousand.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Okay, what is that translated dollars?

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Okay, right now it's at fifty cents, so you have
two thousand, correct?

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Now, how much money did you spend though?

Speaker 1 (10:58):
I bought in like when it was thirty down to
twenty and forty. It automatically what.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
I'm saying, how much did you spend in your initial
investment in American dollars?

Speaker 1 (11:07):
So the thing is it's reoccurring every week you keep buying. Yeah,
it's automatic. It deducts like thirty dollars from my check
on account every week because I kept forgetting to invest.
I didn't want to invest a large amounts. So my
friend who's really into crypto goes, no, this is what
you do. Set it up to automatically deduct a small
amount each week. That way you don't you forget about it.
So over the past couple of years, I've been acquiring it.

(11:29):
But so, okay, so I have four thousand. If it
goes to a dollar, I'll have four thousand dollars. If
it ever were to reach like bitcoin level one thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
I mean, you never know. Yeah, it give me a millionaire,
I know.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
My dad was like, my mum goes, oh, why don't
you take it out because it me and my dad
put money into it and more like just leave it in.
My dad goes, just leave it in. What does it matter.
It was like one thousand dollars between me and him
that we spent.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
It's like whatever, Yeah, I just leave it. Yeah, you
never know, you never know. But cryptos are really a
tough thing.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
You just don't know. But yeah, So yeah, my brothers, uh,
they came over yesterday. We uh, I didn't eat anything.
I ate my meals.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Wow, really being disciplined. They had Nana cook downstairs.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
They had cake and you didn't have anything. I didn't
have anything at your own birthday party. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Well the night before at the Smith and Lenski's, I
had a lot of food.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Yeah, but I'm trying to I'm trying to. Oh, they
sent apps. I had tuna tartar. I had this bacon.
It was one strip of bacon, like really thick, Yeah,
two or three inches thick.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
She's fine. And then uh, and then I had my
steak wagoo of steak was one hundred bucks.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
How was the wag who I've never had?

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Very good? Very good? It is?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
It?

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Is it a clear difference, Yeah, it's it's a little
bit more tastier. Although it was a nine ounce I
thought it would.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Have been a little bigger. It was kind of small,
but it was fine. It was good. And then we got dessert, cheesecake.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Did you guys get what did you get for like side?

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Uh, truffle fries. I always getes We shared.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
The truffle fries.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
What did she get for steak? Oh?

Speaker 3 (12:59):
She got a New York strip? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Did she get Wago? No, she didn't get Wago, but
the Wagoo was one hundred bucks and then hers was.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Like eighty bucks.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
So it was you really can you know, you go
to expensive steakhouse. It's expensive, but you can. It's a clear.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Difference between a you know, a lower end place. So
that was good.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
So now we're here, it's Monday, it's the first well
first full day of fall, and.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
It's getting too spooky season.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Speaking of which, we need to start thinking about some
things to do in October for Halloween. Didn't we used
to have someone on every October?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Not Marien Hancock marine Hancock.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, but didn't we have another guy too? You have
another guy that did mental I don't know.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
I think we should.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Book people from like Salem. Yeah we should. I should
talk to Mike Rockett and Salem see see what he knows?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
You know.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Okay, sounds good.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Are you going Thursday night?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:52):
To the hotel thing. Yeah, that's gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Are you going?

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Of course? Yeah, I'm the voice of.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
The Salem one. It's up in the air. It depends
if Nonnie can watch the children. But it's the twentieth
anniversary of that hotel. They did a bunch of renovations,
big reopening.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Yeah. I actually need to remind kJ about that, because
I don't think she remembered.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
It's six to nine.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Yeah, so well, this is what I love about hers.
I'll say, babe, do you.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Want to do so and so is she from there?

Speaker 2 (14:18):
She she loved it. She would to stay I'm safe.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Oh me too?

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Yeah, yeah, so she like a month ago when we
got the invitation, I go, hey, it's like whatever it is,
She's yeah, let's go. I'm like, okay, I'm gonna RCP
and then I guarantee you when I'll be like, oh,
do you remember about Thursday? She's like, what what about Thursday?
It's like dating a dude, right, She does tell her
a whole life.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
You are the girl I am, and I.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Don't even like to say that because everyone's like, oh,
it's not like we're both girls. But like, if you
know our relationship, it's very much.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Like, yeah, you're the female. Yeah, it's very much that,
which is kind of weird because sometimes you're a little
aggressive like a dude.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
Well, she'll tell you, like, in a relationship, I'm not, Okay.
I mean I'm assertive, assertive, but I like to be
taken care of.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Okay, And I've had enough lesbian for today. Me too,
all right.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Anyway, we'll talk tomorrow on the app on the regular
show and then the after show.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
So thanks for listening. Bye bye,
