good to be here. I missed you guys. I missed
you guys so much. You know, last week on vacation
after Maine, when I was at home kind of just
showing at my house, not doing much, I had the
thought for a second, I should set up a little
studio in my house. I mean, I have some equipment
where I could do an after show from my house.

Then I thought, I'm on vacation, like just relax, you know.
But I did miss you guys. I missed talking to
you guys, my friends, and I love the venting sessions
and the people I have in and hearing from you,
hearing your talkbacks. I love it so much.

And I just listened to the after show Buck podcast
about you guys going live next year. I think it's
a wonderful idea. I myself don't listen during the vacation time.

But yes, we have a vacation in August, which I'm
hoping producer Riley will host and I can take that
off my plate. But starting next year, the show will

always be live, so we'll take separate vacations.

That was always kind of a Maddie thing. Maddie was like,
when the show's when I'm off, the show's off. That's
just the show's not going to go on when I'm
not here. That was just his preference, as was the
two week vacation in the summer, which also ended when
Maddie retired. Because really, I remember when Gandhi came, you know,
she came from Columbus, Ohio, and she was like, you
do two weeks in a row. That's like radio death,

you know when it comes to ratings. But Maddie was
the king man and he did what he wanted. He's like,
I want a long two week breaks, so that's what
they did. But when he left. They were like, no,
just split it up to a week in July week
in August, but not anymore. So that means no more
pre recording for me or producer Riley. And it's going
to be all live shows next year and we'll have fillings,
you know. So we have a bunch of people on

the station, you know, Mikey, Gianna, Ashley down the hall,
she's filled in before. Just different people that they can
stick in. And to be honest with you, you know
there's more to that too. There's the benefit of that
is sticking people in because you know, when that day
comes when the show may change, maybe they'll get a
better understanding of what that new show will be. Like
(02:38):
it's a big deal because think about it, when Maddy
retired after so many years, it was such a massive thing.
But Billy was always going to be the next one up,
you know, I mean everybody knew that. I mean, Matt
took Mondays off for a year so the new show
could go on, right, just Billy, myself, Lisa and Winnie
so we could do the show. And that's what the
show ended up being. So but now, you know, I

hate to even talk about it, but you know, not
go anywhere for a while, but that day will come
when Billy steps away, and what's that going to look like?
We don't know, you know. I hope, I hopefully just
want to be a part of it. And if I am,
that's great, and if I'm not, that's okay too. I've
had a good run. I'm very happy. I'm very grateful,
and I was able to cross off all my goals
on my list. But hopefully I will be so yeah,

that'll be next year. So no more replay shows. I
know it sucks. Well, you want a live show, listen
I I don't like reruns either, you know, I'm trying
to think of a show.

I used to listen to Howard Staring a lot and
when he had replays, you know, he has a lot
of replays now he takes a lot of time off,
but when he had replays, I'd be like, eh, I
don't want to hear because we want live, like there's
nothing better than live radio. And that's the benefit that
we have over podcasts. Podcasts are great too. I listen
to podcasts, but podcasts aren't live. They're always taped, you know.

And so this is a live, interactive show that you
can listen to every single day. So that's a huge,
huge benefit that we have. So we're back, and I

really really do, because you know, if you take it away,

going to be a father and a dad and a

take myself too seriously, and people like they take it seriously.

Portnoy video. I think it was that one. It actually
was screenshotted and sent to me by people that I know,
and there was like a thread going on, and people
were like saying stuff about me, those thing's like, you know,
I think one of them was that I try to
be like Billy or I talk more than Billy, and

another one was about me razing on Billy that oh,
but the one that got me was that I think
the fame has gone to Justin's head. I wanted to
I never comment, by the way, I wanted to comment,
like the link to the after show podcast, because here
you get the real deal. It's not that I'm not
real on the air, but here you get the real
like raw. If you know me, you know that is

not the case. I mean in all actuality. And this
is so crazy to say, but if you talk to
anybody here, they'll they'll say that I live and die
by this. I love talking on the radio, I really do.
It's a great thing and I'm grateful to be a
part of this morning show. But it's not my passion,
not at all. Is playing funny clips on the radio.
Like I love the audio piece. I love doing that.

I love adding that in because really, you look at
somebody like a Maddie Siegel, Right, Maddie was he was
so funny, Right, he's so funny a comedian. Billy's funny,
Billy's hilarious. You know, I'm not necessarily funny, per se.
I can say a funny thing here or there, but
that's not my goal because it doesn't come naturally. But

how I can be funny, it's with the audio, and
I just love every part of it. That's why me
and Maddy like Mesh so well, because we dependent on
each other. So I love that. So if I had
a preference, I wouldn't talk as much, you know, but
Billy encourages it. He wants me to talk more. He's like,
(06:48):
this is your future. I want you to get better,
like talk as much as possible. Lisa too, talk and
be a part of the show. So that's why I
do it. So when I read on Instagram, they're like,
the fame has gotten to Justin's head. It's like, police
don't even know what you're talking about. You know, you're
mad about something else and you're taking it out on that.
It's ridiculous, you know. I had a good laugh at
and the Jason one was really funny. Too as well.

in Maine on vacation. I hope you're getting some nice relaxation.
I don't know if you guys are going to talk
about it, but Brigham nurses at Brigham Women's Hospital are
on strike right now. And I've been at Brigham nurse
for almost twenty years and this is just a crazy time.
So you guys are always amazing supporting us, always rooting

for the nurses, and we appreciate it so much.

Oh my god, Mo, Yes, I knew you were a nurse.
Did I forgot it was at Brigham Women's Yeah, dude, MO,
I'm talking to everyone. But my wife was on this
the whole vacation because she's a nurse. She was covering it.
At one point, I go, do you if you want
to go down there? We can go down there and
support the nurses if you want. Do you want to
go join the picket line? And she's like, don't temp me.
(08:01):
I will. This is a big deal. But the good
news is that they're back to work. But I'm not
sure they got I didn't see the details on that.
But pay the nurses man, pay MO. You guys deserve it.
You girls, everybody, men, women. My brother's a nurse. I'm
surrounded by nurses, the best best ever. So yeah, we
got to pay the nurses man for sure, and shout
out to MO. All right, So vacation here we go,
(08:22):
Old Orchard Beach. That was the first weekend. We left
on Thursday night. We came back on Monday. The weather
was fantastic. We had a great time. We had friends
up there. We hit the beach, we hit the pool
at the hotel, which the hotel was right on the water.
It was called the Waves. Not the best hotel. They're
like motels, you know. But the thing about those places,
(08:43):
like the Seaview and the Waves, those are the two
that I know. I think they're the same owners of
several of those hotels is my wife grew up as
a kid going to Old Orchard with her family and
specifically her dad, who passed in two thousand and five
from brain cancer. So she grew up going there and
staying in those hotels. So it's a really really special
to her. So even though it's not like glamorous, it's
(09:06):
way outdated. The room was good, it was one big
run but it had a split in the middle with
two beds, so it wasn't terrible, but you know, it
wasn't like super luxury luxurious, but it was right on
the beach and they had a nice pool with a
hot tub, which the kids love. So that's where we stayed,
and we spent a lot of time, obviously in the
amusement park thing and the pier down there. We went
(09:27):
obviously went to the beach, the pool, but then we
also went to Peaks Island, which I had never heard of.
There were friends of ours that were up there that
told us about it. They had gone one of the
days and explained what it was. It's this island you
take a ferry to. It's really small, but people live
out there or they have vacation houses out there, and
you can rent golf carts to drive around the island.
So that's what we did. We drove over to the ferry,
(09:50):
took it over and it was a beautiful place. Man.
I got to be honest with you, Peaks Island. So
we get off, rented the golf cart and we drove
kind of all on the coast there. I posted some
on my ig. We went to I forget the name
of it. God, it was a World War two something
like bunker. And when you go in there, it's kind
of creepy. Actually. It's these tunnels that are completely dark
(10:12):
even in the daylight. There's no light down there, and
it's all kinds of graffiti and there's all these weird rooms.
But my son, his friend and me we walked through
the tunnels. I did post some video of that, and
we got some ice cream, some snacks, and then that
was it. There's really not much to do. You kind
of make one loop around two hours total and the

walk down to the beach and then you get back
on the ferry and you go back. So that was cool.
But old Watch it's fun, man. It's especially for kids,
you know. It's I give an example a good friend
of mine that went. He goes every single year with
his family. He has two sons. One of his sons
is my son's best friend, same age. Then he has
an older son who I think is twelve eleven, are
(10:55):
about to be eleven or twelve, and even he's kind
of aging out a little bit. You know, it's not
as fun. It's really fun for kind of the smaller kids.
So you know, people say, oh, the Wagent Beach, you know.
But it's great man. You get the kids the past
so they can go on all the rides all day long,
and then at nighttime it's you know, it's fun, gets
(11:15):
a little bit roundy, if I might be honest. There
was some lot of police down there, a lot of fights.
We stayed out of that stuff though. We go to
bed early. But it was fun. It was really it
was a good weekend away. Then we came back on Monday,
and on Tuesday I went to Noah Khan, which hold on,
let me text producer Riley here because we got to
get her in to tell the story of meeting Noah Khan.
(11:38):
That's actually a really good one. So the boss hits
us up over the weekend and says, I have one
ticket for you and one ticket for Riley. Or it
might have been before the weekend, so I knew there
was one ticket waiting for me. So Tuesday, I wake
up and it is a down pour, like legit down pouring,
and honestly, I was thinking to myself, how do I
(11:59):
get out of that? Yes, like the forecast says there's
going to be no stopping this rain, and then I'm like, ah,
I thought I had to drive Riley. I thought she
was going with me. I didn't know that she had
already gone down earlier. So the whole day I'm thinking,
how can I get out of it?
Speaker 6 (12:15):
Well?
Speaker 1 (12:15):
What about Riley? And I'm like, fine, you know what,
I'll just go Like I like Noah Khan, But do
I like him enough to go stand in the rain?
I don't know. So I decided to go. I drive
down there and it's literally torrential downpours by the way.
I text Riley and asked, you know what time to
pick her up, but she was already down there helping
Kiss went away to Game On because they were broadcasting live.
(12:37):
So I get down there, I get to Game On,
I meet up with Riley, Mikey V comes in Brandon
from the Bowl. We kind of had a line of
seats that were all all from the radio station and
they were on the turf like to the left. They
were great seats. And what's cool about Noah Khan is
he has these smaller stages set up in the center obviously,
then he's left and or right, and then he has
(12:57):
two kind of in the crowd. So you know, the
seats that we had were really good. So we get
in there and it's Riley, myself and Mikey and Riley
right away wants to get the merch, right, she wants
to get the merch, so she gets in line. Mikey
and I kind of wander around with Olivia, who also works. Yeah,
she does our social social media for the team, and
we're just trying to like stay out of the rain, right,
(13:20):
And we had two tickets to upgrade two people from
like the worst to the best seats. So that's what
Mikey and I did with Olivia. We went up to
the grand stand and so crazy story. Okay, so we
get up there, Oh there's Riley. Riley, plug your headphones
in and welcome. So we go all the way up
to the grand stand and now we only have two
tickets and these are these are like dope tickets. Riley,
(13:42):
you don't know this story. I don't think. So we're
looking for the upgrading the two people. So we see
these two girls, younger girls, sitting there and they're like
having us having like a Fenway Frank and we're like,
what about them? They look good? But the problem is, Riley,
have you ever done the upgrades before?
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Okay, the problem is if you see two people you
don't know if they're with more people, yes, because then
you can't separate them, like who which we're going to get?
So we go down, go up to them and we say, hey,
you guys, you know here to see No, you're excited. Yeah,
And then Mikey goes, you know, who are you here with?
And they go, oh, we're with these three people over here,
(14:21):
and then she points to three other people. We're like,
oh shit. So then Mikey says, oh, well, we're from
Kiss went a wait, we just want can we take
a picture with you guys? You know? And they're like,
oh my god. Yeah. So we take a picture with them,
and then we know, wait for it. So then they're
like in these seats. But then four steps up is
another section. It's close, it's like five feet away. So
(14:43):
we go up the stairs and we're looking. Now, mind you,
it's pouring rain. So we're trying to get this done,
and we see a mom and daughter what we think
is a mom and daughter sitting there and this is
right behind the girls that we had just.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Asked, wait, really, well, yeah, did they hear you?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Yeah? We couldn't avoid it. It was just we couldn't. There's
nothing we could do, and we wanted to give it
to them, but you were with other people. Yeah, So
we walk up to the mother and daughter. You can
see the video on the kiss Instagram. It's really really special.
We walked up and yeah, they were they have first
concert for the young girl. They were from Lexington. I
believe she's in sixth grade, and they went crazy. The
video was super emotional and we walked them right by
(15:20):
the so fair though.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
I think that if I was in the group before
and like saw what was happening and like heard the
girl's reaction had been like that's better than maybe they
didn't like me splitting up.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Honestly, I looked over at them and they they actually
seemed like they were happy. Yeah, my mom and daughter.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
I would be like, Okay, that's really cool. Good.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yeah, I'm sure they understood. And if forever, well, you know,
if there's any way they hear this, just know we're sorry. Yeah,
we try to.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Yeah, it's not like we don't have multiple tickets.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
It's like, I'm sorry too, man, there's only two.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
It's it's only like it's something you're gonna be like,
do you guys want to split up.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
No, okay, it's weird.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Right, Like, I'm not going to ask, like, if your
two people be two people here, four people will do bad.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
And it's pouring rain, dude, god, okay, So we bring
them down, we deliver them to their turf seats, and
then we go to our seats. And so again it
was myself, Mikey v our boss McKay brandon from the Bowl,
and we're all kind of standing there in the rain.
The show starts, we're watching it, and then all of
a sudden, Mikey goes, hey, let's let's let's go over here.
(16:20):
So Mikey walks me away and we go to meet
up with the label person, and the label person we
walk into kind of not in the rain anymore, infanway,
and she gives us a VIP wristbands and we go
into an elevator and we go up to like a
private event, right, and so our boss is up there.
It was nice to be dry. So as we're going up,
(16:41):
I said to Mikey, I go, we gotta get Riley
and he goes, we don't have a bracelet for her.
He's like, but there's something going on. We'll tell you later.
So we get up with McCabe. We're in there hanging out.
We start to go back down, the McCabe goes, hey,
we got two tickets for Riley for tomorrow for her
and her brother. And she's a VIP ticket and there
(17:01):
is an after party and there's a ninety nine percent
chance that Noah Khan will be there. Don't tell her.
So I'm like, okay. So I didn't feel as bad
because they when we walked back down, we went to
the VIP section yeah, which was like right there in
front of the stage. So now I have a dilemma
because you're covering for us on vacation. You have to
get here early. What if you left right? Okay? So
(17:25):
I texted you and told you, hey, have fun tonight
or whatever. I said, You're gonna get the VIP bracelet tonight.
There is an after party you should stay, That's all
I said.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Now when I said that, what was your thought?
Speaker 3 (17:36):
So I mccave had already texted me before you did
and said there's an after party tomorrow. You should be there.
And I said, is he going to be there? Like kidding?
And he was like maybe, And I was like, I
literally texted mcavi and said, fuck it, I'll be there.
And then when you texted me that, I was like, okay,
(17:58):
this is like people are conspiracy, like conspiracizing behind my back.
So yeah, I was either way, I was going to
go just for like the fifty fifty percent chance that
he could be there, and I knew I was going
to get no sleep. Anyways, I'm sick. Sorry if you're
hearing me sniffle, I feel really bad about it, but
it's fine, you know, like the sniffling in people's ears.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Anyways, I can hear.

But yeah, either way, I was like, okay, I'll stay,
but I will say that when you guys, like all
of a sudden disappeared in the row that we were in.
Me and Brandon are looking at it to them like
where are they going? Everybody's leaving all of a sudden.
It was literally like me and Brandon, I'm not even kidding,
in the entire row.

I listen. I felt bad, Like when he said, oh,
don't worry about I was.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Like, nobody even said anything.

I know. I didn't know.

All of a sudden, I look over and you're all
filing out. I was like, Okay, I.

Didn't know what was going on. I thought you were
behind me, and then when I realized you weren't, I said,
we're going to get Riley.

No, it's okay, like totally like even if the thing
on Wednesday didn't happen, it was totally fine. I just
thought it was funny that, like I'm like dancing, like
yeah Mary that I look over, I'm like, everyone's got Brandon.
He was literally and he knew like most of the songs.
So I was like, this is the perfect person for
me to be next to you.

Anyways, Look who it is, McCabe. Wow, this is a surprise. Wow,
we're right in the middle of no con stoff.

so you know this already, but you know it was
a They came through big time the bosses, which I
really appreciate because I just wanted to get a ticket
into the show. That's all I really cared about. Because
look it, I know you do a lot. You don't
make a lot of money. That's well known. You're in
a position that does not make a lot of money.
We've explained this before, like when when he was laid off,

they eliminated that position. You moved into it don't talk
as much, but you have a producer thing, not a
co host role. So that money disappeared, so you don't
make a lot of money. So but I feel like
these are ways that we can kind of say thank you. Yeah,
you know what I mean. So that's what I said
to our boss. I'm like, listen, if we can get
our a ticket, just get our a ticket, please, an

he agreed one hundred percent. He goes, I will get
our a ticket, and then he went the extra mile
to get you into the after party, which I thought
was really cool.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
I appreciated that too, and honestly, Wednesday was like such
a great day. Tuesday was obviously so fun and like
I love being like all as a group and who
was raining and that was madness. But then like to
be able to go a second day, and also for
them to include my brother, which I had asked multiple times,
like if there's another ticket. My brother is a big fan,
(21:39):
he wants to go, obviously, like I work here, so
I want to go, And if I could only get
a ticket for myself, that's completely understandable. But I was like,
if there is any way to get me that second
ticket for my brother, like I would be really really appreciative,
and the fact that they got me a ticket to
Tuesday and then to Wednesday with him. I was so
grateful for And then they took us out to dinner
(21:59):
before and you know how the boss loves to go
all out on a company dinner, which is we went
to Joku Oh yeah in the Verb Hotel. It was
really good and they were like, get the burger. The
burger's really good. And obviously my brother's sitting there like
never been out in this like setting before, Like it's
(22:19):
kind of like one of those like am I lucked
to like really order something and I can drink whatever?
And like I was like, literally, get whatever you want.
They're gonna end up getting shipped for the table. Get
like literally order whatever you want. So you got a drink,
he got the burger and like they like really did
it up, and he was like, wow, this is like
really fun. And I didn't tell my brother any of it.
I was eighty percent sure we were gonna get the VIP.

At first, they didn't have enough rist bands, so they
didn't tell Like they were like we're gonna figure it
out for you guys, just go to the seats and
we were like okay. I didn't tell him because if
anything fell through, I didn't want it to be like
this huge thing that I made it into this big deal,
and then him be like he was just happy to
be there either way, and our seats were really good.
They were on the floor, so I was like, for
just stuck. He totally fine. And then McCabe literally before
(23:03):
Noah even went on, was like, Okay, come, come, come,
like we got the wristbands. So then we get upgraded.
We're back there. Dylan's buying my brother beer the whole time,
like like this is like was so done up for
like not only me, but for my brother too, who
is like this is crazy. I don't even know these people.
And then after the show is over, my brother was
like fading. He was like, Okay, I'm tired. This was
the best day of my life. Let's go home. I
(23:23):
was like, you need to wake up because we got
to do after this. Wake up, wake up, and he's like,
what's happening. I was like, we're going to an after party.
Noah co might be there. He was like, I'm awake now.
So then we like it takes a little bit. We
go up there and again Dylan's supplying my brother beer
and like we're like, okay, Noahkan might not be here,
but he might either wait, this is so cool.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
No one knew if he was actually gonna walk in or.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
He didn't go the night before. And that's why they
were like, we think he's gonna go today because he
wasn't here yesterday. The reason is for that, I don't know,
like and there wasn't like a guarantee. And when I,
like I said earlier on the show, when Noah Real
quick talked to Dylan, he said he was on vocal rest,
So he was like he kind of had like a
really quick, like two minute conversation with Dylan and then left,
(24:11):
like to go talk to but he didn't leave like
the building. He just left like to go talk to
other people. So I'm like, why are you on vocal rest?
But like you are here in talking like I don't know.
It was like a little bit confusing, but we were
only we were there for like an hour and again
I was like, okay, it's like I was. I asked Mackay.

then after the fact, my brother was like, wow, you
were like so like professional about that, Like it was
like you didn't seem like it was like Noah Kan,

so much is on my plate and there's so much

place of the weekend thing where I want to bring

obviously I'm super grateful to have gone to both, but like,
to Wednesday show in comparison to Tuesday was significantly better.
Not being wet. Like I've gone to one other rain
show before. It was Zach Bryan and it downpoured in
the middle of the show and it was like an

August show, so it was really hot and rain. Yeah,
and the rain wasn't like that bad. I was like,
I was wearing shorts and it like, wasn't this whole thing,
But like the Tuesday show, I was wearing pants and
like a raincoat and a hat, and like I was cold,
but like I was so wet like you were. There
was no moment that you were dry. My jeans were

soaked through the entire night, and like I had so
much fun. It was so cool to hear like willing
and able in the rain. But the fact that I
went the next day was so much better.

Khan on Instagram, So he started showing up my algorithm
and there's a ton of videos of them breaking down

she came from Columbus, Ohio, and she was like, you
do two weeks in a row. That's like radio death,

the king man and he did what he wanted. He's like,
I want a long two week breaks, so that's what
they did. But when he left. They were like, no,
just split it up to a week in July week
in August, but not anymore. So that means no more
pre recording for me or producer Riley. And it's going
to be all live shows next year and we'll have fillings,
you know. So we have a bunch of people on

the station, you know, Mikey, Gianna, Ashley down the hall,
she's filled in before. Just different people that they can
stick in. And to be honest with you, you know
there's more to that too. There's the benefit of that
is sticking people in because you know, when that day
comes when the show may change, maybe they'll get a
better understanding of what that new show will be. Like

it's a big deal because think about it, when Maddy
retired after so many years, it was such a massive thing.
But Billy was always going to be the next one up,
you know, I mean everybody knew that. I mean, Matt
took Mondays off for a year so the new show
could go on, right, just Billy, myself, Lisa and Winnie
so we could do the show. And that's what the
show ended up being. So but now, you know, I

hate to even talk about it, but you know, not
go anywhere for a while, but that day will come
when Billy steps away, and what's that going to look like?

and I was able to cross off all my goals

like talk as much as possible. Lisa too, talk and

do it. So when I read on Instagram, they're like,
the fame has gotten to Justin's head. It's like, police
don't even know what you're talking about. You know, you're
mad about something else and you're taking it out on that.
It's ridiculous, you know. I had a good laugh at
and the Jason one was really funny. Too as well.

about it, but Brigham nurses at Brigham Women's Hospital are
on strike right now. And I've been at Brigham nurse
for almost twenty years and this is just a crazy time.

the whole vacation because she's a nurse. She was covering it.
At one point, I go, do you if you want
to go down there? We can go down there and
support the nurses if you want. Do you want to
go join the picket line? And she's like, don't temp me.

I will. This is a big deal. But the good
news is that they're back to work. But I'm not
sure they got I didn't see the details on that.
But pay the nurses man, pay MO. You guys deserve it.
You girls, everybody, men, women. My brother's a nurse. I'm
surrounded by nurses, the best best ever. So yeah, we
got to pay the nurses man for sure, and shout
out to MO. All right, So vacation here we go,

Old Orchard Beach. That was the first weekend. We left
on Thursday night. We came back on Monday. The weather
was fantastic. We had a great time. We had friends
up there. We hit the beach, we hit the pool
at the hotel, which the hotel was right on the water.
It was called the Waves. Not the best hotel. They're
like motels, you know. But the thing about those places,
(08:43):
like the Seaview and the Waves, those are the two
that I know. I think they're the same owners of
several of those hotels is my wife grew up as
a kid going to Old Orchard with her family and
specifically her dad, who passed in two thousand and five
from brain cancer. So she grew up going there and
staying in those hotels. So it's a really really special
to her. So even though it's not like glamorous, it's
(09:06):
way outdated. The room was good, it was one big
run but it had a split in the middle with
two beds, so it wasn't terrible, but you know, it
wasn't like super luxury luxurious, but it was right on
the beach and they had a nice pool with a
hot tub, which the kids love. So that's where we stayed,
and we spent a lot of time, obviously in the
amusement park thing and the pier down there. We went
(09:27):
obviously went to the beach, the pool, but then we
also went to Peaks Island, which I had never heard of.
There were friends of ours that were up there that
told us about it. They had gone one of the
days and explained what it was. It's this island you
take a ferry to. It's really small, but people live
out there or they have vacation houses out there, and
you can rent golf carts to drive around the island.
So that's what we did. We drove over to the ferry,
(09:50):
took it over and it was a beautiful place. Man.
I got to be honest with you, Peaks Island. So
we get off, rented the golf cart and we drove
kind of all on the coast there. I posted some
on my ig. We went to I forget the name
of it. God, it was a World War two something
like bunker. And when you go in there, it's kind
of creepy. Actually. It's these tunnels that are completely dark
(10:12):
even in the daylight. There's no light down there, and
it's all kinds of graffiti and there's all these weird rooms.
But my son, his friend and me we walked through
the tunnels. I did post some video of that, and
we got some ice cream, some snacks, and then that
was it. There's really not much to do. You kind
of make one loop around two hours total and the

walk down to the beach and then you get back
on the ferry and you go back. So that was cool.
But old Watch it's fun, man. It's especially for kids,
you know. It's I give an example a good friend
of mine that went. He goes every single year with
his family. He has two sons. One of his sons
is my son's best friend, same age. Then he has
an older son who I think is twelve eleven, are
(10:55):
about to be eleven or twelve, and even he's kind
of aging out a little bit. You know, it's not
as fun. It's really fun for kind of the smaller kids.
So you know, people say, oh, the Wagent Beach, you know.
But it's great man. You get the kids the past
so they can go on all the rides all day long,
and then at nighttime it's you know, it's fun, gets
(11:15):
a little bit roundy, if I might be honest. There
was some lot of police down there, a lot of fights.
We stayed out of that stuff though. We go to
bed early. But it was fun. It was really it
was a good weekend away. Then we came back on Monday,
and on Tuesday I went to Noah Khan, which hold on,
let me text producer Riley here because we got to
get her in to tell the story of meeting Noah Khan.
(11:38):
That's actually a really good one. So the boss hits
us up over the weekend and says, I have one
ticket for you and one ticket for Riley. Or it
might have been before the weekend, so I knew there
was one ticket waiting for me. So Tuesday, I wake
up and it is a down pour, like legit down pouring,
and honestly, I was thinking to myself, how do I
(11:59):
get out of that? Yes, like the forecast says there's
going to be no stopping this rain, and then I'm like, ah,
I thought I had to drive Riley. I thought she
was going with me. I didn't know that she had
already gone down earlier. So the whole day I'm thinking,
how can I get out of it?

Well?
Speaker 1 (12:15):
What about Riley? And I'm like, fine, you know what,
I'll just go Like I like Noah Khan, But do
I like him enough to go stand in the rain?
I don't know. So I decided to go. I drive
down there and it's literally torrential downpours by the way.
I text Riley and asked, you know what time to
pick her up, but she was already down there helping
Kiss went away to Game On because they were broadcasting live.

So I get down there, I get to Game On,
I meet up with Riley, Mikey V comes in Brandon
from the Bowl. We kind of had a line of
seats that were all all from the radio station and
they were on the turf like to the left. They
were great seats. And what's cool about Noah Khan is
he has these smaller stages set up in the center obviously,
then he's left and or right, and then he has
(12:57):
two kind of in the crowd. So you know, the
seats that we had were really good. So we get
in there and it's Riley, myself and Mikey and Riley
right away wants to get the merch, right, she wants
to get the merch, so she gets in line. Mikey
and I kind of wander around with Olivia, who also works. Yeah,
she does our social social media for the team, and
we're just trying to like stay out of the rain, right,
(13:20):
And we had two tickets to upgrade two people from
like the worst to the best seats. So that's what
Mikey and I did with Olivia. We went up to
the grand stand and so crazy story. Okay, so we
get up there, Oh there's Riley. Riley, plug your headphones
in and welcome. So we go all the way up
to the grand stand and now we only have two
tickets and these are these are like dope tickets. Riley,
(13:42):
you don't know this story. I don't think. So we're
looking for the upgrading the two people. So we see
these two girls, younger girls, sitting there and they're like
having us having like a Fenway Frank and we're like,
what about them? They look good? But the problem is, Riley,
have you ever done the upgrades before?

Yes?
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Okay, the problem is if you see two people you
don't know if they're with more people, yes, because then
you can't separate them, like who which we're going to get?
So we go down, go up to them and we say, hey,
you guys, you know here to see No, you're excited. Yeah,
And then Mikey goes, you know, who are you here with?
And they go, oh, we're with these three people over here,
(14:21):
and then she points to three other people. We're like,
oh shit. So then Mikey says, oh, well, we're from
Kiss went a wait, we just want can we take
a picture with you guys? You know? And they're like,
oh my god. Yeah. So we take a picture with them,
and then we know, wait for it. So then they're
like in these seats. But then four steps up is
another section. It's close, it's like five feet away. So

we go up the stairs and we're looking. Now, mind you,
it's pouring rain. So we're trying to get this done,
and we see a mom and daughter what we think
is a mom and daughter sitting there and this is
right behind the girls that we had just.

Asked, wait, really, well, yeah, did they hear you?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Yeah? We couldn't avoid it. It was just we couldn't. There's
nothing we could do, and we wanted to give it
to them, but you were with other people. Yeah, So
we walk up to the mother and daughter. You can
see the video on the kiss Instagram. It's really really special.
We walked up and yeah, they were they have first
concert for the young girl. They were from Lexington. I
believe she's in sixth grade, and they went crazy. The
video was super emotional and we walked them right by

the so fair though.

I think that if I was in the group before
and like saw what was happening and like heard the
girl's reaction had been like that's better than maybe they
didn't like me splitting up.

Honestly, I looked over at them and they they actually
seemed like they were happy. Yeah, my mom and daughter.

I would be like, Okay, that's really cool. Good.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yeah, I'm sure they understood. And if forever, well, you know,
if there's any way they hear this, just know we're sorry. Yeah,
we try to.

Yeah, it's not like we don't have multiple tickets.

It's like, I'm sorry too, man, there's only two.

It's it's only like it's something you're gonna be like,
do you guys want to split up.

Right, Like, I'm not going to ask, like, if your
two people be two people here, four people will do bad.

And it's pouring rain, dude, god, okay, So we bring
them down, we deliver them to their turf seats, and
then we go to our seats. And so again it
was myself, Mikey v our boss McKay brandon from the Bowl,
and we're all kind of standing there in the rain.
The show starts, we're watching it, and then all of
a sudden, Mikey goes, hey, let's let's let's go over here.

So Mikey walks me away and we go to meet
up with the label person, and the label person we
walk into kind of not in the rain anymore, infanway,
and she gives us a VIP wristbands and we go
into an elevator and we go up to like a
private event, right, and so our boss is up there.
It was nice to be dry. So as we're going up,
(16:41):
I said to Mikey, I go, we gotta get Riley
and he goes, we don't have a bracelet for her.
He's like, but there's something going on. We'll tell you later.
So we get up with McCabe. We're in there hanging out.
We start to go back down, the McCabe goes, hey,
we got two tickets for Riley for tomorrow for her
and her brother. And she's a VIP ticket and there
(17:01):
is an after party and there's a ninety nine percent
chance that Noah Khan will be there. Don't tell her.
So I'm like, okay. So I didn't feel as bad
because they when we walked back down, we went to
the VIP section yeah, which was like right there in
front of the stage. So now I have a dilemma
because you're covering for us on vacation. You have to
get here early. What if you left right? Okay? So

I texted you and told you, hey, have fun tonight
or whatever. I said, You're gonna get the VIP bracelet tonight.
There is an after party you should stay, That's all
I said.

Now when I said that, what was your thought?

So I mccave had already texted me before you did
and said there's an after party tomorrow. You should be there.
And I said, is he going to be there? Like kidding?

literally texted mcavi and said, fuck it, I'll be there.
And then when you texted me that, I was like, okay,

this is like people are conspiracy, like conspiracizing behind my back.
So yeah, I was either way, I was going to
go just for like the fifty fifty percent chance that
he could be there, and I knew I was going

it's fine, you know, like the sniffling in people's ears.

to get you into the after party, which I thought

I appreciated that too, and honestly, Wednesday was like such
a great day. Tuesday was obviously so fun and like
I love being like all as a group and who
was raining and that was madness. But then like to
be able to go a second day, and also for
them to include my brother, which I had asked multiple times,
like if there's another ticket. My brother is a big fan,

he wants to go, obviously, like I work here, so
I want to go, And if I could only get
a ticket for myself, that's completely understandable. But I was like,
if there is any way to get me that second
ticket for my brother, like I would be really really appreciative,
and the fact that they got me a ticket to
Tuesday and then to Wednesday with him. I was so
grateful for And then they took us out to dinner

before and you know how the boss loves to go
all out on a company dinner, which is we went
to Joku Oh yeah in the Verb Hotel. It was
really good and they were like, get the burger. The
burger's really good. And obviously my brother's sitting there like
never been out in this like setting before, Like it's

kind of like one of those like am I lucked
to like really order something and I can drink whatever?
And like I was like, literally, get whatever you want.
They're gonna end up getting shipped for the table. Get
like literally order whatever you want. So you got a drink,
he got the burger and like they like really did
it up, and he was like, wow, this is like
really fun. And I didn't tell my brother any of it.
I was eighty percent sure we were gonna get the VIP.

At first, they didn't have enough rist bands, so they
didn't tell Like they were like we're gonna figure it
out for you guys, just go to the seats and
we were like okay. I didn't tell him because if
anything fell through, I didn't want it to be like
this huge thing that I made it into this big deal,
and then him be like he was just happy to
be there either way, and our seats were really good.
They were on the floor, so I was like, for
just stuck. He totally fine. And then McCabe literally before

Noah even went on, was like, Okay, come, come, come,
like we got the wristbands. So then we get upgraded.
We're back there. Dylan's buying my brother beer the whole time,
like like this is like was so done up for
like not only me, but for my brother too, who
is like this is crazy. I don't even know these people.
And then after the show is over, my brother was
like fading. He was like, Okay, I'm tired. This was
the best day of my life. Let's go home. I

was like, you need to wake up because we got
to do after this. Wake up, wake up, and he's like,
what's happening. I was like, we're going to an after party.
Noah co might be there. He was like, I'm awake now.
So then we like it takes a little bit. We
go up there and again Dylan's supplying my brother beer
and like we're like, okay, Noahkan might not be here,
but he might either wait, this is so cool.

He didn't go the night before. And that's why they
were like, we think he's gonna go today because he
wasn't here yesterday. The reason is for that, I don't know,

quick talked to Dylan, he said he was on vocal rest,
So he was like he kind of had like a
really quick, like two minute conversation with Dylan and then left,

like to go talk to but he didn't leave like
the building. He just left like to go talk to
other people. So I'm like, why are you on vocal rest?
But like you are here in talking like I don't know.
It was like a little bit confusing, but we were
only we were there for like an hour and again

I was like, is this gonna happen? He was like,

looking at how long it's going to take me to
get home. Remember on Tuesday, I was like the Stuo traffic,

happened on Wednesday, and it must have been postponed because
the rain. So it's gonna take me an hour to
get home at like midnight.

these are the people I work with. I was gonna
shake his hand, we were gonna get a picture, and
that was gonna be it. I didn't think I was
actually being gonna talk to Noa Khan. So the fact
that like then I was like I literally looked at
my brother and like, I'm gonna change your life. And
then after the fact, my brother was like, wow, you
were like so like professional about that, Like it was
like you didn't seem like it was like Noah Kan,

like it was like you were just like talking to
a guy. And I was like I kind of do this,
like right, I was like I would certainly hope so like,
which is kind of good though, because like before I
started working here, I never knew if I was gonna
be able to talk to a celebrity like a normal person.
I think the only celebrity that I might not be
able to talk to is Taylor.

but it was amazing and I was really happy, happy

feel I felt weird about saying, hey McKay or Dylan,
you know I don't I can't go tonight.

I felt like if I just said I wasn't gonna go,
that ticket would have went to somebody else. I just

had to drive you too as well. I didn't know.
So then after the show ended Ashley show, she text
me and she was like, dude, they got tickets for
her brother for the Wednesday show. So I was like, oh, yeah,

I don't weekends I do.

Right, I'm like, I wouldn't want to. I don't. I
hate doing stuff on the weekdays, and I'm yeah, it sucks.

I get it also for the reason you just said too.
It's not just about being out late. It's the then
going home and sleeping.

Yeah, and then coming in. It's horrible. And I do
it all the time for the ruins. I get it.
I don't know it.

But I also used to do that. I used to
do it all the time. I really did. But I
feel like it really changed for me. Like, you know,
I go to recovery. I'm in recovery right and I
go to recovery meetings. I don't go to weekday ones anymore.
It's not just work stuff that I don't do on
the weekdays. I try to do anything on the weekdays
because I feel like when my role chains on the show. Now,
so much is on my plate and there's so much

pressure to do all the stuff that Bill needs all
of the sound and then talk for four. I was like,
I got to try to be as awake as I can.
Like Billy trying to get me to go to the
tall ships tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
Yeah, buddy, what I'm like, come on. I thought it
was funny that Lisa was like, we're all going to
do that, and I was like, me and you were
both sick. What are you talking about boat to infect him?
I already feel bad being here at work doing my
job being sick.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Right well, Also, we're having a morning show boat thing
that we're doing. I don't want that to take the
place of the weekend thing where I want to bring
my wife.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
And I didn't even know we were doing thathing.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
That's coming, No, that's coming. He Billy wants to celebrate
being number one, the success of the show. Billy wants
to have us all over the boat to kind of celebrate.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
Yeah, okay, yeah, that's so fair. I would rather do
that than I don't care.

I don't want that to replace.

Right, the other thing. I can see the tall ships.

On Instagram, like you said, they look beautiful on TV
and on my phone.

He showed me a video earlier they look great.

That's so anyway. Yeah, so the noahcount thing was crazy,
and then Friday and Saturday obviously the two shows I
just left. Every other show besides well you went to Wednesday,
besides Tuesday was fantastic.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
I know. I So people were like, how was the
rain show? And I hate to be this person because
obviously I'm super grateful to have gone to both, but like,
to Wednesday show in comparison to Tuesday was significantly better.
Not being wet. Like I've gone to one other rain
show before. It was Zach Bryan and it downpoured in
the middle of the show and it was like an

August show, so it was really hot and rain. Yeah,
and the rain wasn't like that bad. I was like,
I was wearing shorts and it like, wasn't this whole thing,
But like the Tuesday show, I was wearing pants and
like a raincoat and a hat, and like I was cold,
but like I was so wet like you were. There
was no moment that you were dry. My jeans were
(31:08):
soaked through the entire night, and like I had so
much fun. It was so cool to hear like willing
and able in the rain. But the fact that I
went the next day was so much better.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Oh, I know it would better, but if I only went.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
To the one show, it would have been fantastic.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
But I gotta say I I'm a huge Noakan fan.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
That's another reason why I was so glad that you went,
because I knew you'd like his music. And I don't
know how much time you spent with this album before
going after Okay good, because he this album is really good.
His other album is amazing. There's a reason why that's
the album that made him blow up. But there are
so many songs that I felt like you would be
able to relate to, not only about like the family dynamics,

but like the recovery stuff. And he added Orange Juice
to the set, and I was like, I know that
Justin is gonna love this song, and not to be like, oh,
it's a recovery song, so you would like it, but like,
it's a recovery song, so I feel like you'd like it.

It'st And I will say that a lot of the
songs that I've heard that I listened to and that
I knew songs like American Cars or Doors, any of
those songs. I've heard them. I've listened to the lyrics,
but haven't really I didn't really like digest the lyrics. Yeah,
and then I noticed because I had searched for Noah
Khan on Instagram, So he started showing up my algorithm
and there's a ton of videos of them breaking down

the lyrics of his songs. Yeah, and I'm like, I
get chills reading it because I'm like, I know that song,
but I never thought I never like digested what he
was saying. The guy's are a prolific song right.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
He's a craftsman singer. Amazing.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yeah, he sounded so good live, so yeah, it was great.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
And he's so funny, Like I love like his little
talk breaks too. He didn't do like a ton of talking,
which I actually appreciate. I hate when artists spend like
half the show just talking because I'm like, you're wasting
my time a little bit. But when he did talk,
he's just so funny and he's so grateful and as
like big as he is now, he's still so down
to earth. I mean, he answered my brother's stupid question
about fishing, so like, he just seems like such a

great guy.

Yeah, yeah, I wouldn't. I just wouldn't peg him as
that type of dude that he would just you could
have said anything to him and he would have just
rolled with it.

is the first song that I ever sent to you

So the big question is, yeah, you did the news.
I didn't know you did it. Billy said that I
thought he made it up.

No, I did it every single day. I was very
much channeling my inner Bill.

There was one day that I was so like behind.
I think it was the day after the Wednesday show
when I was like tired and I it was like
two minutes before the first news was running. I felt
like you and Bill were like, you gotta go, you
gotta roll it in hard, get it in there.

That's every day. I'm telling you. The working under pressures
it helps you.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Yeah. No, literally, I was like, no edits no edits
clean light. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Because you ever see like sometimes during like before the
six o'clock, like around that time, when I'm trying to
like get the show ready, and I'll have like thirty
seconds and I'm like, can I do it? Riley? Can
I do it? Can I do it?
Speaker 3 (34:02):
I can do it. I can do it.

That's way different than I used to be. I used
to be in full fucking panic mode.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
Yeah.

Oh my god, it's like shaking. Its so nerve because
it's live radio. Yeah, you know, but now I'm like
I don't give a shit even when we mess up
on the show. I don't. Yeah, yeah, I just don't panic.
Like if there's a clip or whatever, I'll just be like, Riley,
no it's this one or I have that.

You just got to roll with it, which is good
because you having that mindset helps me have that mindset.
And I feel like I've definitely pivoted my mindset even
since like starting to man the board after when he left,
Like it's like so much different just to think of
it that way.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah, you gotta be just cool, calm and collected. That's all.
So now the big question is Riley, Yeah, are you
going to cover the summer of the August vacation? What
do you mean the best of us?

me forever to record, and I just think that it's

What the reason I started doing it? It was because
I was in your position, right, you know, And now
it's but I'm in a what is that called a conundrum?
Is that the word conundrum? Okay, because now this is

podcast that no one on vacation. You guys know, we're
not live. This is for the people that tune in
and out. There's a lot of people that go in

and out because I talk every day on the radio,
just like Bill. We kind of co host the show together.
When I'm pre recording a best of intro, it sounds
like we're live.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Yeah, you would know, no one really the average listener, dude.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
I got d I got messages DMS, a ton of
them from people being like, hey, why is this rail
or fake headline segment repeated, you know, or responding to
a break like they don't know. So I understand it's
my time is done with that. It's your time to shine, Riley.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
I get it. I wouldn't want to do it with
all this stuff that you have on your plate. Ere Yeah,
but it's like I understand too why the boss is like, well,
I want it to sound as real as possible.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
I just don't want to. I was afraid he was
going to say, no, just do it for the last
the two weeks and then next year there'll be no
more and I'll be live. Yeah, but he did say,
he's like, let's do you for this one and then
she can do the August one.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
So realistically, I would do what two and then never
again to what Like I would do this one and
then what's the next vacation, like long vacation, Christmas, Christmas, right,
So there'd be two times that I did it correct
and then it would just never happen again.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Well, you know, I wouldn't say that because you never know,
you know, you never know what there might be a
situation where we have to yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Yeah, the way that they wanted to play, right.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
So that would be good. Stop working on it now.

No, the fact that you you've just made me deflate
so much, I'm like.

This is not to say I don't want to do it.
Of course I want to do it it to take
stuff off your plate, but I don't want more work

to leave certain times open that because of contesting, But
if you can lock down what the contesting is during

Also, one thing that I want to tell the people,
because I think it's really funny, is that while we
were on vacation and Justin was away at the beach,
I texted him and asked if I could use his pool.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, I know I have the footage
on my ring camera. I know I was at the
beach on all the watch. Did you texted me. I'm like, yeah,
no one. Then, well, Nana, it was.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Like a ninety degree day and I was like, I'm bored.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Anyone can go use my pool?
Speaker 3 (37:40):
Yeah, I say that people are going to start showing it.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Well people that I know, my people, my friends.

So it was funny that you. Did you tell Nana
that I was going to be there? No, So she
came out when I was leaving and I was like, hey, sorry,
we're for Justin. He said I could be here.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Yeah, she I told Jen the fuck. I told Jen
to call her because I don't have the house line
there and Jen's like, yeah, well and she forgot.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
That's funny.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yeah. So then like a little while later, I said,
did you call Nana? And She's like, oh my god,
I forgot. And then Nana told me what she got back.
You know, I just don't want people to get hurt,
and yeah.

Yeah, she was very sweet. She was like coming out
to get mail and saw me and my brother sitting
in the car. We were like literally on our way out,
and she definitely was like who are these people? And
I like got out of the car and I was like, Hi,
I'm so sorry. Liked't I didn't think that he told you, no, you.

Can use the pool anytime. Did you have fun swimming?

I had so much fun. I literally was like raiding
your fridge and freezer, being what can I have? There's popsicles?
I was like, oh my god, like the plastic ones,
like these are the best. Give me one of these, hot, dude.

My house is lit, dude, it has everything you could
ever want.

I had a lot of fun.

I didn't skim a dead frog out of your pool.

Yeah, there's a lot of frogs. Was it a baby?

Okay, because they played dead, so he could have been
still alive.

It looked kind of mushy.

When you pull them out, they play dead, and then
when you like put them down, they'll fucking jump away. Oh.

I justat it over the fence. So if it was
a live hopefully it survived that phone.

Hopefully it didn't hit the other fence, and hope you
hit the grass.

Oh my man. Also, you have these little reusable water balloons.

It's the fucking greatest thing ever. Shout out to mikey V.
Mike EV put up a picture one day, a couple
of weeks ago of his pool looking Claire's day and
he's got the fucking robot thing in there. I go,
what's that and he goes, it's this robot skimmer. It's
the best thing ever. So I went and bought one.
It was like three hundred dollars, best investment ever. I
was out there every day. I went my fucking net. Yeah,
now I don't have to worry every time I look

at my pool and it's clean.

It was pretty full, so I definitely should have emptied it,
but I was like, I don't want to break it. Yeah,
how to use it? And I was just like whatever.
I just grabbed the frog out and went on my way.

But it's also solar powered, so you don't have to
charge it. It charges in the sun. It's charging right
