Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Hey, everybody, welcome into the after Show podcast.

(00:02):
It's Friday, last day of the week, and yeah, we
do five podcasts every single week, and I feel like
we haven't caught up enough with the talkback mafia. We
always ask you to leave talkbacks for the after Show
so that we can play them back and hear what
you have you guys have to say, Hey, Justin and Winnie.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I was just catching up on some of the after
Show podcasts a few days behind. But I was just
listening to the one where you're talking about if there
was a vocational school near you, guys Salem. I don't
know if this is the closest one, but Pinkerton Academy
in Derry is a vocational school and it's regional, which

(00:38):
means like a bunch of different towns can go there.
So it'd be something to look at too for a
Whinnies high school age.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Oh that's cool, thank you. Yeah, Pinkerton is in Derry,
New Hampshire. Funny, we actually looked at houses in town there.
You go not far well, Pinkerton's probably like twenty minutes away. Yeah,
but it's a really good school and we try to
get able into that school. Up in Salem, which has
a great school district by the.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Way, but it's saying for high school, it might be
good for him to go to a regional vote school.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Yeah, and they normally have buses to come pick them up.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah. I'm not going to encourage you. I mean, I'm
not going to force him to do anything he doesn't
want to do. If he wants to go to college
and go to college, if he wants to go to
a voge school, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
No, I'm saying like when he's starting to get to
Hys Middle School, right, that's where he's at, say like, oh,
you thought about you know, trying.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
To you know, as well as he's not in dys well.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
With you and Jennas's parents. It's a point.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Really really has. He's got two parents that had their
own troubles.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
So yeah, all right, justin I know you've been in
recovery for a long time and I just wanted to
get your advice on how to deal with someone in
your life who is very much an addiction, where interventions
have not worked, where this person is defiant and doesn't
feel that they need help for their many many addictions,

(01:57):
whether drugs, alcohol, sex, nicotine, you name it, any thoughts
somewhat to do? I appreciate.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Thanks.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, this is a very tough one and I get
asked this question a lot, and the answer is not
an easy one. They're not ready. Until they're ready, you
can't make anybody do anything. There's some you know, some
lines in the our recovery literature that says, you know,
we've been prayed over, we've been threatened, we've been pleaded with,
and none of that worked until we were ready to surrender.

(02:25):
So until that person is ready to surrender, it sucks,
and sometimes it takes, and most times it takes you separated,
separating yourself from them until they become ready. So you
kind of support from a distance. I guess you can't
enable or you can't you know, force anybody to want
to get clean. But when they're ready, power of recovery
can help if you need the help, power of the
com organization. Speaking of which, next week we have Nurse

(02:48):
Fiona coming in on Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
By the way, if you have questions, talk back them in.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Talk back them in Nurse Fiona. But the goat of medspot.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
She really is one of the first med spots in
the area.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, skin layser hair removal. I took the summer off
talk I have to finish up in October because you
can't when you're tanning. Yeah, so that's Wednesday and then Tuesday,
Power of Recovery. Matty Poe is just coming back in. Well,
him and Whinny have a weird thing. I don't know
what it is.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Aush on.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I think you have a crush on him.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
I know, I love him. He's a nice guy.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, there's something there.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
We have a connection.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah. But he hit me up and he said, I
want to come see Winny. I mean you okay, I
mean I'm the holder of the account.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Yeah, come in though, that's my guy.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Yeah, so he's coming in. We'll have some fun and
then Monday, Monday will just you know, be here to
recap the weekend.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Yeah, we'll tell you what we did this weekend.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Oh yes, Okay, I'm going to ready for this, so
shine down, you're going tomorrow. I'm going tomorrowight, Okay, I
got the word last night, And tell me what you
think about the tickets. So I'm bringing him able and
I'm bringing his friend and his friend's dad. So I
have to pick up the tickets at six o'clock at

(04:03):
will call tomorrow and then it said further instructions will
be in the envelope. What does that mean backstage?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah, further instructions will that's what it says.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
So we'll see who's who's a tech come from from
their people?

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Yeah, oh yeah, that's the guy.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
That's that guy manage.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Great one of the best guys in the industry and
for working for a great band.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Well, I did get the personal invite from Brent because
when he asked if.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I was bringing zeb Bro, I missed zeb.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Well.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I thought it was a good opportunity for my son
to kind of get an idea of what I do.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
You know, I want to flex with the friend and
the friend's dad instead of just could have been you
and Able and zeb and one of his kids.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Oh no, no, no, this is his best friend from school.
I know, but I thought I thought it would be
good to to have his friend.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Are you cool with the dad?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Mad cool? His dad's friend. Dad. We just vacations in
old or your beach. Oh yeah, so you know how
it is.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Well, you're now friends with dads.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
That's fucking so funny with dad life like when your
friends become dads. Or you have friends that are dad's right,
then there's the next level of befriending the dads of
your kids friends. That's fucking full on like you're in parenthood,
you're in suburbia. You're now befriending the dad to the
kids that your kid hangs out with.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
You are a fucking parent.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
What I have?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Right?

Speaker 1 (05:30):
What a road I had? So Monday morning, we'll have
the recap and went down at Shinedown. Okay, all right,
have a good weekend winning you too, and Clover too.
He will your lover trust me and Coda.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
