Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yes, yes, yes, after show, Army. I am here. The
Billy and Lisa show just ended, so it's time for
the after show to begin. That's how it works, right,
there's not much planning that goes into this. Well I do.
I do plan a little bit in my head. I
think about things, I pull talkbacks. I kind of think
about what I want to talk about. But essentially, you know,
the show just ends and then the after show starts.

(00:21):
So that's why if you ever have any questions or
comments about the show, you can always ask. If you
listen to the podcast of the regular show and you
have a question or a comment, you can leave a
talk back, but you have to jump, like you know,
if you're listening to the podcast on the iHeart app
for the show, you have to then switch over to
the after show and leave a talk back there. That's
how that works. But special guests just walked in. Well

(00:43):
this is a big surprise here. Bell. Oh, hey, thanks
for coming back. I didn't know you were on the air. Yeah, well,
I have a mic light that was on. But to
come in, well, I pointed and said, come in. I
didn't know you.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
We had business, No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Just a quick after show. We have a meeting today,
digital meeting. This is what people get on the after show.
They get the behind the scenes. Okay, yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Look out the window, by the way, it's not cloudy out. No,
it's a sunny day. That's all hazed Canada smoke.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Very very If you look out my window, I know
you can't see this, but you can kind of see
where Maldon is right where I grew up in the
trees on top. See how there's like a smoke. You
can see it there over the trees.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
That can't be healthy.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Can't be good if you have breathing problems. Really not good. Really,
my mother in law.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Isn't she going to the tall ships today? Yeah? Going
to be okay for her.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I feel so bad for my mother in law, man,
I really do, because you know, she has a she
has a couple of friends and they're just older. They
can't really get around that well. So to go somewhere
like the tall Ships where you have to park, you
to get out of your car and you have to walk,
it's it's a lot. So it was sad. She wants
to see them so bad. And yesterday she was like please,

(02:00):
Actually she made a deal with me. She said, if
you get me a reservation to see the tall ships,
I'll watch the kids for your August Florida trip. My
wife and I are going on. We're going to Florida
in August.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
That was a scam because she would have done it anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yeah. Wow, it's a lot. I mean, my wife was
away this weekend, so she was helping me with the kids.
She does a lot for our family. But anyway, they're
going to Peer six and so she had no one
to go with, and my wife stepped up, is gonna
go with her? Did they have a reservation? Yea, yeah, yeah,
they only had. They had plenty of lunch, no dinner,
and they were like, we'll just do lunch. I told
you no, No, they wanted to do lunch. Okay, yeah,

(02:34):
so they're gonna go there. Maybe take the shuttle shuttle
over to East Boston, which you can do right, Yeah,
the free boat shuttle. They have a boat shop that
goes over. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Charlie Lerner, if you're listening, dear friend of mine happens
to own Peer six and real house right across where
the bow will drop them. Be very nice to Justin's
mother in law nanny.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Oh yeah, she's.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
There at lunchtime. You want me to call them, no,
the red carpet, so to speak.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
If you would do it for my mother in law,
I would appreciate you with that.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I'll call him right now.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, because she gives so much to our family. She's
crazy as ever, but she does so much. She's all
about our family. And listen, we've been able to do
well because of her in our family.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Now she's not bringing the guy that'll probably take a
six pack with him to the.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
No, that was a friend. He's long gone. She doesn't
have a boyfriend. She's been talking to an ex boyfriend
of hers. But you know, again, he's got health problems.
A lot of these people, phil, you know what, be
grateful that you are so healthy.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Well, maybe she'll meet a captain of one of the
tall ships and he'll sail away, whether it well he's
like Romania or something.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
No, he can't, she can't. He can't take her away.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh, help meet the love of her life on the docks.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I really hope that she does.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
But you know, and I always talk about with my
friends and talk about aging and getting older, because these
things happen. I always use you as an example. All
the time because you've taken care of yourself your whole life.
And you can really see that now, you know, I
made it a priority.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
And it's a very young kid. I mean my brother
and I were going to the YMCA and Cambridge when
we were like nine years old.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Right, right. But you never drank too much, never, never
did drug a.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Day drinker, you know. Love, I've kept it clean for.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
The more cigarettes, never small ever. And you've exercised your
whole life.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, marathons, triathlons, tennis, baseball, hockey.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
How do you feel. I feel great?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Thanks for asking.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
And you got a very fit wife.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Too, amazingly fit. Yeah, and she's fit in a lot
of other ways too, inner fitness, and she really takes
care of full body as do.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
You, as do I. You're freaking We get along very well.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Well.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
We text a lot about health and wellness. Yeah, things
like that. There was it was so funny because she's
into she's into a lot of holistic Yeah, medicine. So
I was talking to the other day and I had
this this medication, not a medication but like a vitamin whatever,
and I had ordered it, but I wasn't sure if
I should take it.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Or not.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
If I it and she goes, I have a trick
for you. Hold it, relax your body standing up, okay,
clear your mind, and put it in front of your stomach. Okay,
be very still. If your body sways forward towards it,
it's good for you and your body wants it. If
you go backwards, do not take it. And so I

(05:19):
did it, and guess what I went forward?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Well, you know what's funny. She and I have gone
multiple times to this friend of ours John in Connecticut.
Do you remember my trips to Connecticut?

Speaker 1 (05:28):
I remember for your shoulder.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah. He would Before we left for Connecticut and meeting
with him, he would have us bring certain vitamins that
were taking anything. We're taking vitamins, medication, anything, and he
would do that to us, well what did you bring?
And we show him whether it's this vitamin that vitamin,
and he would hold it next to us and say, no,

(05:51):
you don't need that. Yeah, oh yeah, take a little
bit more of that.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
So that's really cool. I I love hair on that
side of things, especially the holistic side, because, let's bell,
the healthcare system is so messed up.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
A little right now.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Okay, so they have very few answers.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
It seems. Well.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
I'll give you an example. Okay, Gianna Gianna who works here,
and the her boyfriend is is he has a company
where he does blood tests. So he'll do blood tests
like comprehensive blood panels, go over them with you. It's
a really cool thing that he does. And so I
was talking to Gianna about it because I was thinking about,
you know, hiring him, and he's like, Yep, no problem,
I can do all that. And I said, I'm looking

(06:28):
for one specific blood test. I forget the name of it,
but it's to test for cancers, several types of cancers,
like early onset tumors. Yeah, And so I said, and
he goes, dude, I'm so sorry. He's like, I don't
offer that because it's like a thousand dollars just for
that test. Wow, So you have to pay all this
money to take a test that could probably test for cancer. Yeah,
that doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Doesn't make sense at all, since cancer is the biggest killer.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
And the new story is the case is going to
keep rising. Oh boy, Yeah, I gotta live one day
at a time, buddy. And now we're worried about raging diarrhea, Yeah,
that's a big story. Big story in my house, man.
My wife has all the fruits for my daughter and
vinegar around the house.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
So she's washing it. Michelle has always even before that.
She always washes.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Vegetables and fruits with vinegar.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
No, she has a special spray sheet orders.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Okay, yeah, because you don't nigger and something.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Oh she'll yell at me if I have an apple
or whatever and don't wash it first.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
So it's not good. If I'm walking in the produce
section of the supermarket and I just take a little
blueberry off.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Oh no, she would kill you.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I don't do that. She would kill you. But when
I was a kid, we did grapes of course. Yeah,
and then the carriage parents on the way. Yeah, they
give me to open the packages and cookies. Oh really,
my brother and I. Yeah, we were very young and
put it back. Well nowadays, I don't know if you've
seen the cookies, like the oreos, they're peel. You don't

(07:53):
have to open it, peel perfect. The person would never know.
They buy the oreole, go home and open them up.
This story.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
They actually do that with the cold cuts. Now, if
you get a package of cold cutters, yeah, yeah, you
peel it up.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Yeah, that's perfect, It's perfect, all right, Bill, We'll you
watching the World Cup today. Yeah, I'm all in on soccer.
I really like Messi a lot. He's just so good,
so good. But I'm telling you England is really good too.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
I mean when they sang Wonderwall at the end of
the game, that was I almost cried.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
This is going to be a special moment today three
o'clock and don't forget if you want, you know, if
you want to watch party it's on City Hall Plaza
today for the match.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Yeah, and then the final coming up on Sunday. And
I shared this story at the end of the show
about Messi and Amina Mom's incredible story. Yes, if you
didn't hear it, Lamina Mal's is the star of Spain.
So if Argentina wins today, they'll play Spain in the final.
And what are the chances that nineteen years ago Lamina
Mal's family, when he was five months old, entered him

(08:57):
into a raffle with Unisef and he won the raffle
and the prize was to take a picture with Leonnel Messi.
So there is a picture of a very young Messi
with five month old lamin ya mal.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
So, do you think they'll embrace before the game during
the pregame on?

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Probably? Probably. He's supposed to be the next MESSI, by
the way, nineteen years old, one of the best in
the world.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
That's such a cool story.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yeah, it really is. So are you gonna watch the
game when you got TV?

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I've got TV, but I'll be out. I'll be done
in time for the game. I have to watch this game.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Can I give you a little hint? Yeah, the second
half is what matters. Yeah, if you can get to
like sixty seventy minutes and up, yeah, that's when it
really really.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Gets Okay, Yeah, I still don't understand the clock. When
they add the minutes at the end.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
It's because that's the stoppage time. So then yeah, the
clock another way, the clock doesn't stop, Yeah, you know,
then they add it. The only thing I don't like
is when they do the Okay, so say it ends
at ninety minutes and they add seven minutes of stoppage time. Yeah,
I don't like how the clock the little plus seven
will be there. But then if you tune in and
it's at ninety two minute, yeah, you don't know when

(10:01):
it started, well, you do it in ninety minutes, but
it gets confusing because I'm trying to figure it out.
I don't know. It's weird. It's why we stick with football. Yeah,
football is good. Football is good. It's easier. We're simple people,
we really are.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
But really I've been watching the game and I'll definitely
watch the World Cup match on Sunday, three time show.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, that's gonna be a good show. That's going to
be a good show. All right, we gotta jump in
this meeting here, so thank you so much. Bill, say,
how do your wife for me? I shall I'm bye.
