Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up, my friends. Welcome in After Show Podcast. It
is time Tuesday, June sixteenth. I'm justin and welcome, and
especially if you're a first time listener to the After
Show podcast, Welcome. Sometimes I forget to do that, welcome
new listeners, new people that find this podcast, and typically
it's people who find the Billy and Lisa Show podcast

(00:20):
and then they find this little after show that kind
of goes with it. So where we are, one day
out from the longest podcast of my entire career. Shout
out to my friend Robbie. It was a great podcast,
very long. You know, if you stuck with it the
whole time, thank you. You know, I knew going in

(00:41):
it was gonna be long winded. You know, Robbie he
can talk, you know, and he's got a really extensive story,
really powerful story. So if you stuck with it through
the whole thing and you enjoyed it, then awesome. If
you did not, I understand as well. You know, really
just an amazing guy. You know, he's been so impactful
in my life, especially early on, you know, really trying

(01:02):
to navigate recovery, trying not to use He was like
a staple in my life. He was somebody that was
there every single day, you know, talking to me. I'd
pick him up when we spent hours and hours and hours,
you know, not just talking about recovery and using and
all that stuff, but laughing, man, laughing. He's so funny,

(01:23):
a lot of jokes, a lot of really really great moments.
So I was really happy that he was able to
make it down. And you know, he's blind, but to me,
it's like, yes, it's a disability, but there's just so
much more.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
It's like a superpower. In a way.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
It sucks he can't see, but like he talked about,
you know, he's stronger in so many other ways. You know,
he's got the best memory ever. He's one of the
best guitarists, you know, super talented guy.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
And it's been kind of tough for me too, because
I mentioned early on he could see a little bit more,
so you wouldn't you'd have to guide him a little bit,
and he didn't have the stick then he did not
use that, so early on he kind of could get
around a lot easier. Now he can't see it at all.
You know, he's got the stick and you kind of
have to guide him around. But I was really thankful

(02:12):
that he got up early and and came in. You know,
I tried to get him to admit, like how late
he sleeps, but he kind of gets embarrassed about it.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
You know. He stays up very late.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
You know, like five six in the morning, and he
sleeps until two or three in the afternoon. But like
he mentioned, when you're blind, your circadium rhythm is off right,
you don't really see sunlight. And plus he's a musician
and he plays at night. So that was really cool.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
You know.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
So if any other guests like that come up, who
I would like to have on that are important in
my life, I will. I want to have Zeb on again.
Of course, my buddy' zeb. He's got a lot to say.
And yeah, I mean, listen, this is what the after
Show is. It's just a place where, you know, different
things happen every day. Things they have to do with
the show, things that have to do with me, things
that are going on in my life, you know. And no,

(02:57):
I always take questions too.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yes, I'm so confused. Is Lisa not married anymore?

Speaker 4 (03:03):
I don't recall hearing she separated or divorced, Just wondering.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Things Lisa's long divorced. Yeah, you might have missed that.
That was a year ago. Actually, in July of last year, unfortunately,
she announced her divorce.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
So, yes, Lisa is single.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
She doesn't talk about it often because you know, it's
a personal thing, but she is dating and she is
living her best life. So yeah, she is. She is divorced,
you know, and it's a painful thing think about that.
You know, she's a public figure and so you know
if you missed her talking about she she references it
here or there, but it's not the main thing that
she talks about a lot. You know, if you talk

(03:40):
to her, like on the street, if you see her,
she'll be much more open about it. But publicly, you know,
she's not one to kind of harp on it and
keep talking about it, but she does mention it. She
she has mentioned it recently actually, you know, like as
a single woman. But she's single and she's dating. So
there you go asked and.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Answered, Hey, listen, yesterday you were talking about the haters
and the talks, how they interrupt you from being able
to get the good ones.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Is there a way that you can see what the
name is or do you just see a phone number
and kind of pick from that, just curious one, a
little behind the scenes. Okay, have a good day.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Uh, yes, that was last week. I was talking about that. Yeah.
I mean, I don't harp on the haters. They're everywhere.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
It's everybody's gonna have people that talk talk shit about them.
It's just the way that it that it is. And
you know, like I mentioned, it's more of them clogging
up the the talkbacks. You know, like there's one lady
in particular who obviously hates Donald Trump. Not that we're
not even a political show. It's crazy, but because Billy's
Sun is affiliated with Dana White and goes to things

(04:52):
like the White House and he's with Tom Brady and
all that stuff. Automatically, you know, where this like right wing.
I'll give a fuck, honest, I'll give you my opinion
on this point.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
I don't care at all about politics. I really really don't.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
You know, what matters to me, and this might ruffle
some feathers and I'm sorry, but then what matters to
me is showing up for my family, making a living,
staying clean, and showing up every day.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
You know. I you know, voting is super important.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I agree with that, but at the end of the day,
I still have to get up every single morning, and
I still have to like provide for my family and
take care of myself and take care of my loved
ones and live a happy life. And if I'm focused
on so much on like you know, Donald Trump and
Joe Biden and this person and that person, listen, Like
Trump's gonna be out office in two years, Joe Biden when.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
He was president four years or eight years. But you
know it's gonna change. There's gonna be somebody else. Like
I just the.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Politics thing drives me crazy, man, you know. Like I
give you an example. It's like I like Dana White, right,
he's friends with Trump. I like Dana White. I've always
liked Dana White because he came into this radio station
and I spent some time with him, and he's actually
a super nice guy. His politics stuff I don't care about,
you know. And it's the same with him and Trump.
You know, if you listen, don't talk about it, he says.

(06:10):
You know, he was friends with him long before he
was the president, you know. And I know it's a
controversial thing. Give you another example. Jimmy Kimmel super hates Trump.
I love Jimmy Kimmel. Not a big fan when he
goes on the political stuff, you know, but he's super funny.
I will never not watch his show. See I don't,
I don't. I don't dismiss people because of their politics.

(06:30):
That's where I think it gets wrong, right that if
you're a Democrat, oh my god, I'm gonna shit on you.
Whatever you have to say doesn't matter. Or if you're
a Republican, whatever you say doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
You know. I just I'm kind of in the middle
with it all. And at the end of the day, like, man, come.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
On, I used to be homeless on the street, man,
like I was half dead. Now I'm gonna be like,
you know, super political. I'm just not that type of person.
It's just not in me. I wasn't raised in a
political fan, so I get it. You know, people have
their beliefs, and I respect that one hundred percent. But
every time that Chris Costa gets mentioned on the show,
you get talk back fucking Sally over here, who wants

(07:11):
to talk shit and clog up my talkbacks. It's like, dude,
leave it to yourself, you know what I mean. Like,
if you don't like what we're talking about then don't listen.
And by the way, the fact that Billy's son is
doing that has nothing to do with politics whatsoever. It's
about you know, Chris cost have built that on his own,
not because of who his father is at all. Literally,
Chris had his own career. He went to college, he graduated,

(07:34):
you know, with help from his dad, of course, like
a you know, he went to college, got a job
on his own, and then started this card thing by
chance during COVID. He's always been into cards. He kind
of was talking to somebody, you know, a wealthy guy,
not even about investing, but about his hobby. And the
guys had an idea and said, why don't we get

(07:55):
together and do something? And it exploded And now look
he's partners.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
With Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
So yeah, is it cool that that he was at
the White House? One hundred percent, it's cool. That's really
really cool. God, the politics thing drive me crazy. Come on,
somebody cheer me up here.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Hi, Justin, could you tell me where that video is
that you were saying going viral about Billy. I didn't
see anything, so I just would love to catch it.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Thanks.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Oh yes, it is on my Instagram and it's still
blowing up. If you go to my Instagram at justin Beezy,
it's the pin video right at the top there is
it still pin Yeah, it's pinned. It's at two hundred
and ninety six thousand views, eleven thousand shares. This thing
hit the for you page and.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Has gone absolutely wild. So go check it out. It's
very funny.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
And the reason that's gone crazy is because, well it's
a funny video, right, it's it's a it's a trend.
But originally when it got posted, you know, it was
all of Billy's followers and kiss Winawait's.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Followers that all loved it, that know us.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
But it quickly changed into they think we're a father
and son. I don't know how that happened, but they think.
That's what makes it even funnier is they think that
Billy's my dad and so we're doing this inappropriate trend
as a father and son. So if you read the comments,
you kind of you pick up that vibe. But yeah,
go check it out. It's really really, really funny. So yeah,

(09:20):
show a week this week June nineteenth, June teenth, we
have off, so there's a lot going on. There's a
lot going on, well, The after show will be on tomorrow, Thursday.
I'm gonna try, but we have a tour coming in
for the Countdown Billy and I, and you know, it's
like a Friday, so we're gonna be very busy. I
have to put together the Friday show because god forbid

(09:41):
I take a day off and not provide a show.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Okay, it is what it is.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I'm a company guy, so I have to do that,
so I'll do my best. But listen, hit the talkbacks
if you listen to Robbie. If you thought it was
too long, it's okay, I understand. But if you liked it,
let me know. I'd like to get some feedback on
that and anything else you have to say. Always hit
the talkbacks on the iHeart App. All right, guys.
