Here on a Friday, June twenty sixth weekend, feeling good.
Little cloudy out there right now, but looks like it's
going to be an okay day. Maybe some rain showers,
maybe not. It says south. All I care about is
north where we live in Salem, New Hampshire. And all
I really care about is the party tomorrow. Man. Oh boy,

it's looking like the rain will stay south, so that's good.
I did cut my grass yesterday. The bouncy house has arrived,
the tents are up, so it looks like we're ready
to go. We'll finish up everything today. But this is
like my wife's super Bowl. You know, she loves, loves,
loves this stuff, and it's really is like, you know,
I make jokes about it on the show about how

crazy she is and things just appear at my house,
but really it does warm my heart to watch how
excited she gets to like us put this all together.
You know, she's a super mom, you know, like she
was made for this stuff. And you know, if you
know our history and all that so to you know,
all the stuff that we've been through that she's been

through really and to just live her best life is incredible.
You know, I live my best life. I talk about
that all the time. Right, I do things that I love. Well,
this is what she loves. She loves putting on big,
big parties. And I'm so happy that we were able
to get a house that was meant for this, you know,
for these big events, and we just love having all
(01:23):
our friends and family over. And you know, it's about
my daughter and her birthday. But it's not so much
to just be extravagant to give, you know, the child
the birthday of a lifetime. It's just really about creating
a great party that people can come and have fun
and celebrate a birthday. And there's something for everybody. That's
(01:44):
the great part about it. Right. There's there's the bouncy house,
There's going to be a huge sprinkler, I have the pool.
You know, there's gonna be a ton of food. I'll
be grilling, I'll have cornhole. My ice bath will be
open for anybody that wants to get crazy and jump
in the cold plunge. People talk tough all the time. Okay, Oh,
I'll get in the cold plunge as soon as that
lid comes off and their toes dip into the water

that's thirty seven degrees. It's a different story when that happens.
But it will be open, and I'll tell you usually
it's the kids that go in it, not the adults.
The adults are more scared of the cold plunge and
the kids. It's actually really funny. There's a video from
I think it was last year there was a line
of kids all jumping in the cold plunch and only
a couple of adults went in. So, yeah, whether they

want to do the cold plunge or the other pool,
that's fine. Hot tub's not allowed. I don't allow like
multiple people in my hot tub because it messes up
the water chemistry and it's a nightmare. I do not
do that. I actually went to a party a couple
of years ago at this huge house and they had
a hot sub and they just let everybody into the
hot sub, all the kids, all the adults. You know,
there was like twenty people in this hot tub, and

I was getting such anxiety watching it because I'm like,
oh my god, it's gonna take forever to like adjust
the water in the hots up. If you have one
or had one in your life time you understand what
I mean. When I first got my house, I never
had a pool. I never had a hot tub, and
they had a hot tub. So when we closed in
the house, they sent over like through the lawyers, Hey,

do you want us to leave the hot tub? I
was like, is that even a question? Of course? And
so you know, I started to become a hot tub
owner and started to learn about it, and I learned
that it's frigging hard, Like you got to keep checking
it every single day, because if the chlorine runs out,
the water gets cloudy. Once that happens, it takes days
to get the water clear again. It's super hard. And

I remember that first year, I was back and forth
to the pool store NonStop, like getting the water tested.
And I remember saying to the lady like, if this
small body of water is so hard to take care of,
I'm fucked on the pool and she goes, No, the
pool's completely different, much easier because the water's cold. It's
a bigger body of water, but the water is cold.
(03:54):
You're dealing with hot water, so there's bacteria and it's
just much much harder to take care of. And she
was one hundred percent right. The pool is nothing compared
to the hot tub. So at parties, I don't allow
people in the hot tub. They ask, of course, the
kids ask all the time. If there's a couple of
kids there, Like last night, it's a good example. Able
and a couple of his friends were over. So there

were one, two, three and then Gemma so Able two
friends of Gema. I let them go in the hot tub,
no problem. But I ain't letting no kids line up
to dip their nasty feet in. That's the other thing
is tracking stuff into it. Again, if you have a
hot tub, or had a hot tub, and you have
experience with it, you know what I'm talking about. So yeah,
I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be a

great day. I love seeing my friends, I love seeing
my family. I love you know, spending time. That's what
we live for right at our house is having people over.
We love to entertain and you know, she just does
such a good job of it. And Nanny two and
Nana downstairs. You know they're Italian, right, so they make
a bunch of food. Anybody that comes to my house
they feed always. My friend was at my house last night.

He ate before he came at Jersey Mike's and then
he comes there and she's like, you made American Chop Suey,
and it's like, you don't turn down food from her?
I do only because you know I'm on my crazy diets.
I try not to, though. I eat the chicken cutlets.
That's what I always eat, no matter what I eat,
the chicken cutlets and the meat loaf. Sorry, those are
the two things. Meat loaf and chicken. Colle's the best

of all time. I can honestly say that that I've had,
not the best of all time for anybody, but the
best that I've had. So yeah, he had the American
Chop Suey last night. It was funny. But the bouncy
house has arrived with this water slide. The kids were
on it yesterday. So I'll go home today and finish
up any kind of loose ends, go to the pool store,
get the pool situated, and then I have a great
time at the barbie party. My daughter is super excited.

I can't wait. So hopefully the weather holds out. I
hope you have a great weekend. As far as the
show today, it's so funny, like we do a live
morning show. One hundred percent live unless we're off, you know, typically,

really good segment, you know, early in the show, why
couldn't we rerun it instead of redoing it again? Why
couldn't we rerun it like all the other shows do
it well? I mean to be honest with you, so
many shows are kind of like live and taped. They
do it every day. Some shows are not live at all.
They tape the whole thing. We do a live show.

But we were thinking, like on Fridays, and this is
kind of a selfish thing a little bit, because we
are recording the Countdown billion and Ies, so we're doing
a ton of work. But like on a day like
today when it's new music and there was so much
of it, and I thought the six pin forty was
so good, we reran it at nine and ten. And
it's funny because and this is a this goes to

the people that are so dedicated to our show, you know,
they know it's it's it's rerunning, and they get mad
and they start yelling and they leave talkbacks like you
guys serious right now? Just mailing it in? And I'm like,
do not mailing it in but it was good. But
I understand if you heard the earlier one and then
you heard the later one. And that's a great thing
about this show. So in radio, people come in and

out right, most of the shows are like that. Radio
in generals like that. Okay, they come in and out
there in the car and they get out or they
pop it on and then they change the station. You know,
if there's a commercial, they change the station. So there's
not a ton of like consistent listening, which is what
you want. We call that TSL time spent listening. If
you can do well on that, you're almost guaranteed to

get good ratings. So a lot of shows do not
have that, but we do. People love our show, which
we love so much, and they'll listen to the whole
four hours. It's actually it's actually really really cool. So
it's kind of a compliment when people get mad and
they're like, no, we want fresh and new. I understand that,
but you know, if it was a fire segment, I'm

going to rerun it. So we did that today and
I got some talk backs, only a couple. And that's
the funny thing is they got a couple of those
of people being like what the hell. Then I got
several others from people that did not hear the earlier segment,
and that's my point. They were hearing it for the
very first time. So you know, I took you behind
the scenes there of the Billy and Lisa Morning Show.

So coming up next week, we have four days and
then we're done for the fourth of July, and then
the week after I can't wake on the Old Orchard Beach.
But next week we have Dave Portnoy Lisa's book Club.
I can't believe it's already here. It's actually wild man
really is. Like I remember when he announced the book.
I had sent it to Lisa. I said, we gotta
get in for the book club. I did not really

think that we were going to be able to get
day Portnoy. I just kind of like any like great
author or anything I see. I sent it to Lisa,
I'm like book club, and she called me and said,
how do we get him? So I have a phone
number for Dave Portnoy, but I don't think it's his
correct phone number because I've tried to reach out to
it and nothing happens. So I said, send him a
DM that's what you should do you are verified? So

maybe it'll push through. So she sent a DM to
him on a Saturday morning at eight am. So I'm
at the gym and my drive custom fit working out
and my phone's blowing up during my class, my circuit class,
and it's Lisa, and I don't answer it because I'm
working out. And as soon as I'm done, I call
her back and she's like, oh my god. He responded back,

like within five minutes. He responded back, and I'm like,
what did he say? Did he say yes? He said
yes and put me in touch with his people. And
that was many, many months ago, and now the book
comes out on Tuesday. Wednesday, he is doing Big Night
Live and we will be there. If you're going, I
can't wait to see you. I'll be there with two
of my friends, the two Mikes. One of my best friends, Mike,

and then his brother in law was also my friend too.
His name is Mike as well. Damon's coming from Power
of Recovery with his wife, you know his wife this one.
I'm actually Damon Weinberg's yew. The Weinberg is coming in
for Dave Portnoyce so and fourteen hundred other people. So
I'm looking forward to that. I'm making an exception for
a weeknight event because really the next day we work

one day and then we're off on vacation. So have
