Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, I'm here. I'm here. I'm here. Hi, everybody,
after show, Army, what's up. I'm here, justin, yes, checking
in for the podcast. And let me tell you the
battle is on right now. I talked about this yesterday
and the battle verst food right, it is very, very real.
So we had Frank Pepees or Peppe's in today. Shout

(00:20):
out to them, amazing pizza. They brought about twenty pizzas
that are sitting outside the studio. Now it's Thursday. The
sales staff, you know, they do mostly a three day
work week, so Thursday and Friday typically it's very light here,
so there's not a lot of people to eat all
the food. So that means they're just sitting there all
of these pizzas. Now I planned for this. I brought

(00:43):
my meal. They were coming at nine. I ate my
meal at eight thirty so that I was full. I
had just eaten. So the pizza came. I did not
have a slice. But then my wife text me because
she was listening to the interview with Frank Pepees, and
of course she texts me, hold on, let's read this
to you. She texts me. In the middle of it,
you better be bringing me home some Frank pet Bee's,

(01:06):
so of course I got to bring her home a pie.
That's my queen. So now it's sitting here in my studio.
I'm looking at it right now, a double rony. It's
looking good, it is smelling good. And all I want
to do is open up that box and eat it. Now.
I know I've talked about this at nauseum. One could argue,

(01:26):
justin you could have a bite, You could have a slice.
One slice would not kill you. And that is one
hundred percent true. If I ate one slice of pizza,
it would not kill me. I'm gonna go to the
gym today. I have two gym sessions today, right, one
by myself early in the afternoon, and then I bring
my son to boxing and while he boxes, I run, right,
I do like three or four miles while he works out,

(01:49):
So I have two workouts. So really, one slice isn't
gonna do anything. That's not the problem. The problem is
that thing in my brain that just wants more, and
once I let it into my body, all I want
to do is eat more. And the obsession starts and
I give in because the thought process is, well, you
already messed up. You weren't supposed to have the pizza.

(02:10):
It's not part of your meal plan. It's not Saturday,
it's not your cheat time, and so you've already given up,
So you might as well just say fuck it for
the rest of the day and eat what you want,
and then before you know what, I'm eating the whole pizza,
a whole pizza, like I talked about yesterday. So that's
the battle right now. But I'm holding strong, and you
know what I'm talking about, how I feel. That's what
you're supposed to do. You're supposed to ask for help,

(02:30):
and you're supposed to talk to people and let it
out and not hold it in. So I'm smelling the pizza.
It smells so good. Maybe I'll put a couple of
slices away for maybe tomorrow, maybe Friday night. I'll eat
a little bit. But for the most part, I've been
doing good with the eating. I'm not really that strict,
you know, like I'll eat I'll give an example. We
had Nanny's birthday the other day and we had ice

(02:52):
cream cake, and so for dinner, after dinner we had
the cake, We sung to her and I had a
small piece of cake, and that was fine, you know,
but that kind of helped because I have a hard rule.
So years ago when I started to lose weight, right
because I used to be heavier, and I changed a
lot of things. I started working out, but the big
thing was the nutrition in the way that I ate.
And one of the first things I did, one of

(03:12):
the first tips that I got, was to not eat
past five or six o'clock. Six o'clock for me, it's five,
but at first it was six. So now sometimes I'll
eat past five, but never, ever, ever do I eat
past six. That is a strict rule, even on well
most cheat nights. If I go out to a restaurant
or an event, of course i'll eat later, but like
ninety percent of the time, I am done eating by

(03:34):
five o'clock. So I stick to that no matter what.
I don't cheat, no matter what. It's like a thing
that's in my brain. So I had the ice cream
cake at five thirty the other night, and it was fine.
I had a piece. I did not feel guilty. It's
almost like my brain knew that the cutoff was at six,
so I could eat the cake and I wouldn't want anymore.
Because it's a rule, it's a rule for me. Do

(03:58):
I sound sick to my as this confessional goes on,
Do I sound like a sick person? Because I know
I am, but sometimes I need to know do I
sound really sick or do you identify with what I'm saying.
But yeah, again, I've been for the most part good.
I'm not really chasing a goal per se. I think

(04:18):
I'm just I think I'm just trying to maintain the
weight that I'm at. I'm pretty happy with the lowest
I've been in a long time. You know. I guess
I could always lose more, but I just don't want
to gain more. So I'm really just trying to eat
kind of around the same calorie count. I just sign
up for a new mail prep service, so I'm trying

(04:39):
them out because I'm sick of cooking my food because
I'm not really that good at it and it doesn't
taste good no matter what I do. So, Yeah, and
I got my shoulder thing. I got the corda zone shot.
My shoulder hurts. I guess that's normal. I got two
shots in my shoulder, and I guess that's that's normal
for it to be sore for a couple of days.
So I've been doing like some PT you know, on

(05:00):
my hips and my shoulder because the transition from bodybuilding
style working out, you know, lifting weights with some cardio
to more hybrid training which is like high rocks, which
is like cardio running mixed with weightlifting has really taken
a toll on my body, like big, big, big time.
My hips hurt, and you know, at first I thought

(05:22):
it was like arthritis or whatever, but really it's that
these there are parts of my body that are just weak.
The shoulder of thing was old, but the hips thing
are my hip flexers and my like internal and external rotation,
things that you never ever work are all affected. Because
I have such strong legs, you know, like my quads
and my hamstrings and my clues are so strong, right

(05:43):
because that's what I did for so long. I did
a ton of squats and hamstring curls and lunges that
they are strong. But all those little little muscles there
are very weak. So there's a ton ton ton of
like PT stuff that I found on Instagram. There's so
many good pages with so many tips. So I kind
of my own program, and let me tell you, it
has been helping because I've been consistent we're doing these

(06:05):
little workouts that are not exciting, Like no one wants
to do clamshells, you know what I mean, leg lifts
or you know, any of those things, glute raises, you know.
But I've been doing them and they've been helping, so
so that's good. Busy show today, really really busy show.
We talked a lot about the Taylor Swift wedding, and

(06:27):
I love that because people have to remember that we
are a pop music station, right, that's what we do.
We play pop music and we talk talk about a
range of things. But the Taylor Swift thing is a
huge story, and some people will be sick of it,
and that's fine. But I love the people that leave
talkbacks when we're talking about just shit, and honestly, all right,
you can turn on the fucking station, man, you know,
like if you don't want to hear about Taylor Swift,

(06:48):
it's okay, Like we're not going to be mad, you know.
But this is the thing about the talkbacks is they
come in. I'm the only one that sees them. So
you got a picture. We're doing the show. As we're
doing them, I'm reading the talk back one after the next,
looking for ones to play, and you got the same
couple of people, the same ones that I've been listening
forever when the Maddie Days went here, and they just

(07:09):
stick around and they just like everything we talk about,
they shit on. It's like, bro, leave, you know, and
really it's so the truth is okay. The truth is
I'm not upset by what they say. I could care less.
I'm upset because I have to take the time to
read the talk back when I'm looking for talkbacks to use,

(07:29):
meaning they are disrupting the talkback process. That's what I'm
upset about. It's like, oh, talk about Like if we're
talking and I see one that just came in, there's
a good chance that could be used right now on
the show. So I'm like excited. I'm like, oh boom.
And that's the same pre It's like the same three people.
I don't even know if they listen to this show.
But enough is enough. Find another show to listen to,

(07:50):
Like I'm tired of it, Like why are you listening?
I don't your hate listening to our show. And that's
like listen, that's like point zero zero zero zero zero
one percent of people. Again, it's like the same three
people but they've been doing it for years. You know,
these are the same people that hated our show when
Maddie retired. They hated us, and then they just kept listening,
and now they keep leaving talkbacks like, ah, what are

(08:13):
you talking about Taylor Swift again? Like planes, Billy, you're
seventeen years old. I mean, i'd say Billy Prince younger
than that. I mean, I don't know, crazy, I'm a
little morant right there. Speaking of Uncle Bill, I want
to get him on because he has the Food Show
today and we got to talk about our Bush video.
We've gone. We've gone kind of viral on Instagram. I

(08:33):
always know because I read the comments, and there are
some comments that people don't know who we are, right,
they're just showing up on people's algorithms because there's a
lot of shares on it. What's the shares up to?
Let's take a look here, ooh and twenty eight shares?
Oh my god? What's the view count? Buddy? Sixty two thousand,

(08:54):
sixty five thousand on the video? On the stupid Bush video.
I gotta get billion here? Stand by all right, he's
coming in right now. I had to yell at him.
He's in there watching Kelly and Mark or what's on
at ten o'clock. I'm not sure, but he loves Kelly
and Mark, which is a really weird thing. But he's
making his way in Now. We gotta get Were you
watching Kelly and Mark?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah, I knew it. See I was telling the APT
show Army about that your obsession with Kelly and Mark.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
It's not an obsession. It happens to be on when
I get off the show.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Actually, actually a picture showed up on my Facebook memories
recently of the morning that Ryan Seacrest got announced as
the new co host with Kelly Rippa. Oh really, we
were in the morning show office in the middle of
the show. Was a big deal. Who was it going
to be? And it was Ryan Seacrest And know it's
you and I watching the TV. Pretty cool. Anybody there anymore?

(09:44):
He's not there anymore? Yeah, what happened there?

Speaker 3 (09:47):
I think Ryan just got tired of traveling back and
forth in the schedule.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Was just too insane and it wasn't working anymore.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
But I like Kelly and Mark. I think it's actually
I've become a fan since then. I think they do
a good job. I think they might have new producers.
It's really I watched mostly because I like it when
a show is run very tight, much like the billion
Lisa Morning.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Good point. But they still have Gllman.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Oh yeah Gelman is still yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Yeah, he's still there. Okay, it's a little weird, but
they do have some good, good topics and good guests.
I will say that. And Mark, I mean fucking ripped.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
I'm surprised you don't watch because he walks on with the.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Tight shirts every day and the sleeves have to be
rolled up so he can.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
Show the veins here do it here every day with
the veins.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
He is in good shape. I gotta give it to him.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Yeah, he's good.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Like what's he taken?

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Probably everything you're taking.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Well, I don't think I have access to the stuff
that he's taken. But anyway, I was telling them about
the Bush video that we did. We've gone viral?

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Really how many?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Well I was just reading off here we have almost
seventy thousand views. Wow, but here's the key, Oh my god,
we get we got two hundred more shares in the
last one minute. Fourteen hundred shares.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
What constitutes viral?

Speaker 1 (11:05):
I think the shares is a big one how many
times it's been shared, because you know, you can tell
the comments. There are a lot of comments of people
that don't know who we are. That's how you know.
That means it's showing up in the people's algorithms as
they scroll, which is good. It's a great video.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
It's funny because my wife Michelle posts for our two dogs.
They have an Instagram account now two dog pals. Yeah,
by the way, two dog pals. And I did a
stupid well she shot me doing I didn't even know
she was shooting. It was a quick video of me
getting on the boat with a bag over my shoulder

(11:40):
and our little new rescue dog, Luna was in the bag. No,
I didn't say anything. I just walked onto the boat.
It's got a couple of hundred thousand views.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah, it's always the simple videos. You know. It's Little
aj from Jamming. Yeah, Ashley, Little Ashley. You know she
has a pretty good following. Her biggest video over I
think it's five million views the kids, Nope, it's literally her. No, No,
I'm talking about Little Ashley. Oh, okay, Little Aje her
biggest five million views. You know what it is. It's
her ten seconds long before she goes to bed, putting

(12:10):
in her mouthpiece her retainer. Really, that's it. This, Hey,
this is what I do before bed puts in her retainer.
End a video ten seconds, five million views. Wow, it's
really discouraging for people who make content, especially people that
spend a lot of time and money to produce these
videos when that's all it takes.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Yeah, because you know my wife Michelle, she's not a
big social media person. This all started as kind of
an accident. So when I travel and we travel, she
now puts together these videos. Yes, and it drives her crazy.
I never asked her.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
To, Yeah, do you pay her? But she said, yeah, yeah,
you take care of me.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
But she'll sit and sometimes it takes her a couple
of hours to decide what she wants to use. Then
she has to edit them together and then pick the
music and make sure it all gels.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
And it came out of nowhere. And it's like one
of her obsessions now.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
And it's funny because she doesn't have social media, not on.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Social media herself at all.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
I know. Yeah, that's good, that's really good.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
She's getting pretty good.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah she is. Yeah, she makes those reels when you
guys go places. Yeah, she does a really great job.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Hi, honey.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
So did she like the bush video or no?

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Okay, First of all, I didn't do it voluntarily.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
You and producer Riley made me. I couldn't even believe
that I was being asked to do it.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
So I walked in the house and before she even
said hello, she goes, what was that weird thing you
you and Justin did? I'm like on the show, I said, no,
you posted something about a bush, and I'm like, oh god, yeah,
I said I had no choice. Justin and Riley put

(13:49):
me into it. That's not really what happened you.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
You didn't. You didn't not really? Yeah, I said no
at first she did it. I said no, it's actually
really funny. Bill, it's not no. And then Riley said, Bill,
you don't have to dance, you don't have to sing
because you don't want to do any of that stuff.
It's pretty simple. It's great.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Once we started, I was having fun.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yeah. Some of the comments here, Oh my god, I'm
in a doctor's office waiting room dying. Oh Billy, the
eyebrows on the flirty you shaved your bush?

Speaker 2 (14:14):
That was me.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
I've watched this too many times I'm screaming dying. There's
so many good comments on this.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
And it's so funny because a lot of these people
that listen to the show, well they know who you are,
but some of them they don't know who we are.
They don't know we work on the radio. They live
elsewhere in the world, you know. So it's just popping up,
which is funny. Wow viral buddy.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
All right, let's go, when are we doing another one?

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Uh? Well, we got to fun I don't want to
do them just to do them. Yeah, that's the See,
that's the problem with and again you have let's meet
Boston the show of content creators and think about the
pressure of delivering every day every day.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
That's what they do for a lit every day.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Yeah, so you know, I don't want to have that
where we feel pressure to just do something just to
do it. It's got to be good.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
By the way that Meet Boston with Billy and Jenny
on nesson nine thirty Saturday Mornings and preceded by Dining
Playbook with Billy and Jenny on Nesson.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
See, you know what happens you rub off on other people.
So the other day was it yesterday morning? I had
Ashley Feldman stopped in. I say, can you come on
the podcast for a couple of minutes. She comes in
and she goes, I only have five minutes. Here I
go to get my lashes done at Nicole whatever salon.
I go, are you are you billy?

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Oh? She makes it a plug?

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Yeah right away?

Speaker 4 (15:28):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Gee?

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Where am I going from here?

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Yeah? So you got the food show today.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
That's Food for Thought by the way, at Sunday nights at.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Six o'clock on WBTZ News Radio, the IR app Who
do we got?

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Oh God, it's gonna be a good show. You know.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
World Cup is in town. It affects a lot of businesses,
a lot of bars, a lot of restaurants. I've got
my friend Dan who well runs Lenox Hotel in Boston.
He's right in the thick of it. Oh yeah, and
it's a newly renovated Lenox Hotel. He did the whole
place over, new restaurants and everything. All the rooms are
done over. So he's coming in. Also, the Martinetti group,

(16:03):
who have a restaurant on the Woober and Winchester line
that we go to a lot called Sono Great Restaurant. Uh,
they just took over a legendary place in Gloucester.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
It used to be uh the was it the uh Good.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Harbor in in Gloucester. Now it's the in at Good
Harbor Beach in Gloucester. Yeah, he totally knocked down a
legendary place and rebuilt it.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
And it's the US.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
You showed me the pictures the day after you shot there.
It looked incredible. There was one it was an aerial
shot and there was kind of a rooftop area.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Oh yeah, that's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
That's like the King Sweet.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Yeah, it's the Sweet. The King Sweet sleeps eight people.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
And against the inn at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester.
And and I've got my good friend Donato from Victory
Point at Marina Bay.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
You've been there with me, Jesus Maria. It's a big show.
It's a big show.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
He had a huge flood at the restaurant, three feet
of water in the entire main floor. But he's back
and the grand opening is this week, the grand reopening.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Wait headed there.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
To Marina Bay.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Oh, this is imagine you. You got here at three
o'clock in the morning, did an entire morning show. I'm
leaving after this. You're doing another whole show.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
Yeah, you want to sit in with me?

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Uh no, I'll get a haircut alone.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Oh it's haircut day. You have no idea, folks have
no idea. So he's gonna have the haircut and then
he'll go right to drive. Yeah, his gym at Tuscan Village, Oh, Hampshire.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Okay, and then after.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
That he'll go home. You'll do a hot tub, he'll
do a night No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Not yet, no today. I was just talking.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
About this before the game stretched again No.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
No, I got drive. Then I'll go home, get my
son from school. Then he has boxing and I work
out while he boxes, So I have two workouts. Then
I go home, sauna, cold plunge.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
There you go. That's quite a day right there.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
That's pretty good. I gotta get the haircut though.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
And the big Friday show tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
We got good stuff on the show tomorrow, yes, well,
new music Olivia Rodrigo. And this really cool story that
I saw on social This woman posted something because she
saw an ad that The Rock was doing for shampoo
and hair products, and she posted she said, you never
believe this, folks, The Rock who's completely bald is selling

(18:24):
hair products, So that means you can do anything.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
And so Lisa Dunovan tracked her down because the rock
got back to her.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Yeah, well he caught wind of the video went viral.
It's just like our video.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
And he invited her to his world premiere.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Yeah, he's fining to Mawana And Lisa Dunnovan tracked her
down through the DMS and she's on the show tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
And how about this segue back? We were just talking
about simple videos that go viral. Yeah, that video that
woman made was very simple and very short.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Yeah, and it just blew up oh millions, right, yeah, So.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Yeah, Lisa tracked her down. Eight ten, we're going to
have her live.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
It's the big Friday show.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
On the show. Oh yeah, there's a lot going on,
all right, Bill, Well, thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Can we talk about the new contest we're kicking off Monday?

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Absolutely? Yeah, the summer concert match game, the match Games
coming back Monday.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Look at U. It's a company, a couple of company guys.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
I learned from the best buddy that the plug again
and the company guys. Oh what does she want?

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Look who they want to plug yourself? I was just
telling him, Actually, about yesterday because he starts plugging, starts
calling me Billy coffy, Yeah right away.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Where are you going today? Well today, I'm going to know.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
I actually don't have one today, but shout out to
Nicole Caruso, who does.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
My last see and you're not even getting lashes done.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
I'm not just saying, generally speaking, what are you doing
today that you can plug?

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Mothering? I got nothing today. I know you have something
to plug every fucking day.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
I've got one for you. You ready, Okay, Frank, you're
going home? Bring bring a feature from Frank pep face.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Don't really do no, I I trust me.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
I see all the salespeople out there there, they're.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Going in on their vultures.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
There's none left, what's none?

Speaker 1 (19:57):
No, there's there's a few.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
But they were out there reorganized and stuff.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
There were seven or eight pizzas. Take a pizza home
for the kids. By the way, that's Frank Pepees.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
We learned today. It's Frank Peppy's.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
It's Peppies. Have you had it before? It's really good.
