Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Jay's Juniors And this is a bit
(00:02):
of a special Jays Junior's call because it actually happened
last year when we called Katrina to talk to her
about Adriana. Adriana at the time was eight years old.
Was supposed to be on our Jays Junior's trip last year,
but then was too sick to go. The good news
is they're going with us this year. But we kind
of wanted to fill in a little bit on on
(00:23):
Adriana and get the story from Katrina.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yes, she was originally diagnosed the day after her fourth birthday.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
This is her second relap.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
She has brain cancer, fine cancer, and bone marrow cancer.
She has developed a horrible brain bleed. My husband is.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Not able to work very much due to all her
appointments and no help from the family.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
She is fighting every single day just to be a
normal child. Yeah, she just wants to be a normal
child and she's has gotten.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
That taken away from her.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Was it did it start as a form of leukemia
or I mean, how does the work?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
She has?
Speaker 2 (00:59):
She has leukemia, okay, a cute a cute wimboblastic leukeremia
and epilepsy.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yes, and epilepsy. Yes, I forgot about that. Yep. She
has developed seizures and.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeah, and I mean her whole life is essentially just
dealing with doctors. I mean, to be diagnosed after your
fourth birthday.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
She has two siblings, a sister and a brother.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Her sister's seven and her brother is five.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Her brother was actually.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Her bold marrow transplant donor. She was a full match
and it unfortunately failed.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
Katrina, it's I mean, what kind of outlook do you get, Like,
what kind of what do doctors tell you?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Like, her chances have dropped? Of course, she has about.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Fifty to fifty chants may be told that it's horrible.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, I can't imagine.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
You know, she's my best friend.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Her brother going through a bone marrow transplant as well.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I mean he was four and he was so proud
because he was a match, but it still failed.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, she was ten out of ten match the highest
you can go with ten and it's still failed.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Just because I know you said you try to make
things kind of you try to have as normal a
life as you can through all of this. I mean,
what does Adrianna like, what are some of the positive
things that that that that make her happy? Are there shows,
movies or their toys? Are there?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
