Everybody ready for jingle Ball? Were you excited for Nelly

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Joe wants to embarrass me with Shinedown because I took
Joe to see a shine Down concert when he was
a little kid, really and fell asleep at the.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
We're not surprised by the story and shine Down yeoll
lit him singer.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
It caught him out. What's the lead? Uh, it's Matthew Shinedown.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
So Joe and I are going to get a chance
to interview him, and Joe wants to bring that up.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
You have to do you think he is? But what
if he doesn't have a good sense of humor. I hard,
He's a great guy. Tony Torvado's friends with him. So
Brett right, it's down.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Do you guys have photos you at that concert?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
It was Eastern Michigan in that like what I call
it the Nuclear Palace because that place, if a nuclear
war happened, you go into Eastern Michigan's convocation center, you
will not die.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
And it was if I'm.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Not mistaken, it was Buck Cherry, Shine, Down Cheer and
what was the bande Sevenfold? This is when Joe was
in his burnout stage as a ten year old ten.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
School I was in middle school. It was the first
time sub boobs too.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
The funniest part of us going to this was as
a guy who doesn't play any of that music. I
was so disappointed. I remember telling Chelsea, I'm like, I
don't even play. I had to call up Riff to
ask for tickets, and Drew from Drew and Mike gave
me the tickets to go to the show, and so
we go. So we go to the show and we're
there and I'm like, I couldn't believe how many of
our listeners were there, people coming up and talking and stuff.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So it was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
It was a Joe Saide is going to have the
same moment when he gets older. Getting older now and
like working and doing all that. It like thank you
for being such an act of dad and like taking
me to things because he drove the EMU on like
a Tuesday, and uh and and even sevenfold was who
me and my friend Matt Cassar wanted to see.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
So we uh you start out, Matt, what do you
guys do? Just shout out, show I'm doing. MAT's a stud,
Matt's a stud trainer and keego right now.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Go ahead, cool shot shot, Yeah no, but no, And
I love you Joe for saying that. And Kevin does
this every day because Kevin has three different jobs. You
know that he's doing every single day. So and you
will never miss one of Josiah's things or anything that
Josiah wants to do.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
That's why he's sick for guy's sakes.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
All right, Shannon with the dirty we gotta get to
War of the Roses then right afterwards a single ball tonight.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
So I want to start off with an update on
the sweet story of Ed Bambas. Remember he's the eighty
eight year old Army veteran who worked at the Meyer
store in Brighton worked hard all of his life. Retired
in nineteen ninety nine after forty years at GM, but
then when GM went bankrubbed, his pension and retirement was affected.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
I actually had someone nominate you from this stool and
said you're very hard working.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Well, I tried it.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
May. I asked how old you are? I mad, I'm
still working, Yes, I have to. Why do you have
to keep working? Retired from General Mortars in ninety nine.
Twenty twelve, I went bankrupt and they took my pension.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Away from it.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Do you have a wife? Best way seven years ago?
Seven years ago she was sick when I lost my venture.
So you've been struggling a bit, a little bit. Just
the sweetest man.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
His story goes viral and Australian influencer name Sam Widenhoffer
started to go fund me for him. This week this happened.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
There's a lot of support for you here man.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
I want to reveal that this is one of the
largest individual fundraisers and go fund me history. If you want,
you will be able to retire because we've raised you
one point seven seven million dollars.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
That is incredible, sad.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Dollars and a seems like the type of guy because
he's he's a total Midwestern dude that would probably go
you know, I still kind of like going to somewhere
every day.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
You knows, eight and a half hours a day what
he was doing.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
You know, it's sweet. I love that.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
And Mike our buddy bas Squash, Yes, he was a
part of it too. Yeah, he was really a part
of it too. And he's such a good guy. So
that what a cool thing to do during the holidays.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, love it. That's awesome.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Taylor Swift or Taylor Swift, Yes, Taylor Swift is going
to be on Stephen Colbert's show tomorrow night. He made
an announcement on Instagram, posting a compilation of him dancing
door song Open lighte. The caption read meet me at
Midnight JK eleven thirty five. So she will be on
his show tomorrow evening. Maybe you don't know this about
Morgan Wallen, but he very quietly spends a good part
(06:35):
of his life deeply rooted in his faith. I had
no idea about this, didn't come out or didn't realize it,
I should say, until a podcast interview this week, when
comedian Theo von casually dropped that he and Morgan attend
a Bible study group together.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Honey, I'll make you a cancero.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah, you promised, Morgan won Look you make me want
I'll give it to Morgan.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
I'm gonna seeing tomorrow Bible study. Actually, so you will
see him at Bomble's. I think he's going. I don't know.
He's an inspiring Uh, he's He's just he's an interest.
Morgan is does he is him? You know that's true?
Who is that lady? The podcast is this past weekend?
Is that Theo doing that voice? Doing the voice?
Speaker 3 (07:17):
By the way, I will tell you this about I
don't get it, but if you listen to it, you
do laugh. Funny, bro, he is very very funny. But
you would sit there and watch it. It would be
even funnier if you're If he's high, what do you say, Joe?
Speaker 2 (07:31):
What's that? Thank you? Okay?
Speaker 4 (07:36):
So I guess there are some Morgan wall And fans
who are actually very aware of.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
His love for Jesus.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
He's I guess fans have reached out and said, you know,
for example, I'm having brain surgery next week and he
will respond and say I'm adding you to my Bible
Studies prayer list, and he does this over and over
again for fans.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Wow, is it like a celebrity Bible study group or
like yes, uh Lydia and Bionca go to by will
study every single week.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Lastly in and out Burger.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
We don't have him here more so on the West Coast.
But it has axed the number sixty seven from its
ordering system after the viral six seven team got super annoying.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Everybody does it anymore, you should punch them.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
So they've taken sixty seven out of the system, so
it goes from sixty six to sixty eight when they're
announcing that orders are ready, because kids would literally sit
in the restaurant and wait for number sixty seven to
be announced.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
I heard there was men and I don't know what
NFL team it was that changed his number from sixty
seven because he didn't want to do it. Really, Yeah,
the ESPN talked about that, but that's I would probably.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
It's just gotten to the point where it's too much.
I would have sixty nine. Of course, you exactly, you
work both sides at a ball.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
Didn't miss anything from over there cats up on the
podcast on the Free I heard radio what funny?
