The Dirty on the thirty well, former President Joe Biden,
O guy having some trouble talking well, giving a speech
at the International LGBTQ Plus Leaders Conference in Washington, d C.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
This weekend.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
We just have to keep out as long as we
keep the faith, someone hope, and get back up and
remember who in the hell we are. We're the United
States of America.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
That's who we are. We're the US America. Got it.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Maybe he meant to say that we're the United States
of America. Got it?
Speaker 1 (02:43):
I could we got Did you see that Trump hosted
it was the first president to ever host the Kennedy
Center Honors, And I'm like, why is he hosted? Because
usually when they do the Kennedy Center Honors, the president
the city and president sits in like a box and
then thank you, thank you, thank you. And as doing
some reading about it, I guess they were trying to
get a couple of people and then they kind of
(03:04):
backed out a last minute. He's like, you know what,
I'm gonna host the damn thing. So he ended up
hosting it himself. But that was last night and they,
you know, their own thing. But there you go. America
got it?
Speaker 4 (03:16):
I got it.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
The president who hosts his own stuff. What a weird
world we live in, Shannon.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
The Indiana Hoosiers beat the Ohio State buckeye Is thirteen
to ten on Saturday to win the Big Ten Championship.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Both teams, by the way, on the feed of going
into that game.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
It was the first time the Big Ten Championship game
featured number one versus number two in the country.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
It was also the first time the Hoosiers.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Won a Big Ten titles since nineteen sixty seven, the
first time they beat Ohio State since nineteen eighty eight,
ending a thirty two game losing streak. Indiana also earned
the top seed in the College Football Playoffs, so they're
going to be in the Rose Bowl for the first
time since nineteen sixty seven.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
I'm going out on a limb here right now because
I know that there's a lot of Buckeye fans that
listen to us from Tille and cass I'm going to
say that loss over the weekend was your Michigan loss,
and now you just fired that team up. I mean,
you couldn't ask for a worse situation than to have
your kicker, you know, end up doinking and to see
(04:20):
what they did. I feel like you just woke a
sleeping giant. I really do, and I feel like, honestly,
I feel like Ohio State's gonna it probably went in
this whole thing.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
And Notre Dame not going to be playing in a
bowl game after it is totally left out of the
college football playoffs. The team issued a statement yesterday afternoon
and said that they essentially decided to end the season.
Part of the statement said, as a team, we have
decided to withdraw our name from consideration for a bowl game.
We appreciate all of the support from our families and fans,
and we're hoping to bring the twelfth national title to
(04:49):
South Bend in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I was kind of excited. You know, Kevin's out sick today.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
I was kind of bummed because I want to ask
him questions about this whole thing, because we were texting
back and forth at Ton yesterday or some sports stuff.
I wanted to get his take on Ordered Dame. At first,
I was like, you know, good for Notre Dame. You know,
why go to some you know, the Jiffy lou Boyle
Bowl or whatever the bowl is that they're going to
send you to. You're Notre Dame. You bring a lot
of fans with you. But then I did a little
deep diving. Actually I just watched some stuff on barstool Sports,
(05:17):
and they only played two ranked teams this year that
were top ranked teams. They lost both of those games,
so Notre Dame really wasn't even that good of a team.
So they probably shouldn't have been in the college football playoffs,
although Alabama definitely shouldn't either. But it's interesting that you
can just not have a conference, like they don't have
a conference for football. They are an independent, one of
the I think the only independent, and you can just
(05:40):
choose not to go. I can't believe the college football
can't penalize them somehow, like say, hey, you're either going
to bowl games.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Has anybody ever done that before? Said we're just think things,
but no thanks.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
I do not know the answer to that. I will
have to go back on the barstool social and didn't
see if anybody says anything. I kind of get my
sports that way, but I don't know. But I think
that it's crazy that you can do that and walk
away and say I'm not gonna I guess most of
these players want to go to the pros and the
coach obviously doesn't want to get a trip to Orlando
or something like Michigan's going to Orlando.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Yeah yeah, real quick, while we're talking sports, Taylor Swift
joined by her bestie Selena Gomez at the Chiefs game.
The girls were spotted in Taylor's familiar game day box
and everybody was quite crazy that they were together.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
And real quick, can you talk about this? It looks
like the Chiefs will not be in the playoffs this year.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Saw that they.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Lost to the Texans last night and by the way,
Mahomes had a horrible game. Travis had a horrible game too,
and they're saying that they're all but eliminated. It looks
like from possibly the playoffs be the first time that
those guys in the last I think five or six
years haven't been in a playoff.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
A great big congratulations to Detroit marrilect Mary Sheffield, who
very quietly got married over the weekends. Very very private
when it comes to her personal life, but she allegedly
because I don't know this has necessarily been confirmed, but
married Ricky Jackson Junior, a community leader. He's the program
(07:11):
manager for Project Place Southeast Michigan, which is an amazing
organization that gives kids access to quality sports programs. But
I believe the wedding happened yesterday. I know she was
noticed walking into the Godfree Hotel. There were like hundreds
and hundreds of red roses delivered to the back door
(07:32):
of the Godfree Hotel. So everybody's thinking that that's where
it happened. But I saw their engagement photos, the most
dunning couple.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Well, she is definitely Mayor Hattie.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
I mean, I got to tell you, there's a lot
of people that are on TikTok and Instagram. I see
people that aren't even from Detroit putting up reels about you.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
I mean, she's been really a big old oval shaped
ring for the past couple of months, so we knew
she was.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Engaged by Do we call him first gentleman?
Speaker 4 (07:58):
I think so. I think so, right. Congratulations to them,
And what's his name again? His name is Ricky Jackson.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Junior, Ricky Nice catch.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Anything he missed from today's so go back and catch
up on the podcast.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Just sort to Mojo in the morning in the free
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Can I tell you this weekend, I got to play
golf in a charity charity golf tournament. So thank you
to see our Myers and associates. Our good friend Craig
Myers donates always to break in an entering Christmas wish.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
He invited me to play.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
I played with professional golfer Jim Fuick, but I also
played with Jeff Daniels. Yes, and I got Can I
tell you that I haven't seen Jeff in forever. I
think literally twenty some years ago when Escanaba in the
Moonlight was coming out and we all spiked Sarah and
I did a promotion for him. He was so nice.
(08:50):
He's a good golfer. He's a really good golfer. He
kept calling me Tommy, which I thought was great. So
it wasn't like Mojo and Jeff. It was you know, Tommy.
And at the end of the whole thing, you know,
when all things were done, he goes, he goes, hey,
he goes, you know, I'm gonna share with you my
phone number. He goes, don't use it unless you need to.
(09:10):
And I was like, I was like, so, Jeff, I
got it. I swear to you I will not I
will not share it at all. But I'm looking forward
to getting a chance to bring him on the air
with us because he's opening up a music venue in Chelsea, Michigan,
to go along with the Purple Rose Theater. Yeah, and
he's gonna do. What he wants to do is he
wants to give new up and coming artists and some
(09:31):
artists that are longtimers that you know, don't get played
or the opportunity to play big venues an opportunity to
go to the Chelsea Theater and play it. So it
will be incredible. So I told Jeff, I said, you'll
have we'll have you back on.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Uh we did use it. No, I'm not gonna use it.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
But we were a whole group of us and one
of them was my buddy Paul and then my other
buddy Will, and those two guys were like, could you
imagine if we dressed up as dumb and dumber like there,
would that go over?
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Well?
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I don't think he'd be calling me Tommy and give
me his phone number afterwards.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Now, all right, that's dirty, give.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
More Jered Mojo in the morning dot com Mojo in
the Morning's dirty.
Speaker 2 (10:10):

from Rochester, Michigan. I want to hang with you, man.

Speaker 1 (10:50):

Speaker 2 (10:54):

Hold one one hold on. Uh, I guess some uh
I get some people here. I mean, I guess this
is going to be like Cav's gone. It's not going
to be as good. But I'm gonna do some sports
Upstates for you. Jason wants to clue me in on something.
What's up, Jason?
Speaker 5 (11:38):
Hey, I just want to let you know that the
Chiefs actually haven't haven't missed the playoffs in eight straight years.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
So it's been eight years.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
Yes, and they also won five consecutive championship. That's a
championship five consecutive.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
So do you like the idea?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
I mean, do you like the idea that this is,
you know, being mixed up a little bit? Or does
it bother you because it's a chance that the Lions
also might be on that end?
Speaker 5 (12:04):
Actually, I kind of like the mix up. I'm kind
of tired of seeing the same stuff all the time.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
So I'm bond cool that. You know, everybody had check
ept Draft Kings. All those guys had the Chiefs versus
Lions in a Super Bowl. The Chiefs aren't going to
be there. Hopefully the Lions can win out and be there,
or maybe hopefully the Bears just crap the bed, you
know they lost yesterday? Yeah, I hope so they look
(12:31):
good against Dallas?
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Leonard, what's going on? More sports update here? Shannon is
going to start shopping after one more call?
Speaker 2 (12:37):
What's going on? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Did nor did dang got bumped up because they kept
Alabama there.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Yes, that's what I was saying, but a lot of
people were saying that Alabama shouldn't be in there.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Who do you think should be in there? Notre Dame
or Alabama?
Speaker 1 (12:52):
I think so they put Miami, Miami in there, they
should also put in there.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah Alabama.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Alabama has three losses and they just got couraged stopped
by Georgia.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yeah, they all in their conference. Hey, quick question for you.
Did you ever see the uh what was it?
Speaker 1 (13:13):
One of the ESPN specials, the Catholics versus the convicts?
Did you ever see that at all? It was the
Notre Dame versus the University of Miami. That was one
of honestly one of those the uh, one of the
best ones I've ever seen.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
So uh, they always favorite Alabama.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
I mean they gotta get Do you notice since the
ni L the SEC is not as strong as they
used to be. Everything is now all evened up. I
guess when it comes to paying your players.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
It's uh, pretty much big fans to run.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
You gotta do a report.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
We were out on Friday and we didn't get a
chance to talk about that family.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Uh it was it Acu sure whatever.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
The family, the family, the rich family from Grand Rapids
that donated four hundred Yeah it was it four hundred
billion dollars or a million?
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Was that? How much? Was it? Was it billion with
a B or million with an M? Do you know it?
Speaker 1 (14:07):
No, it's four hundred there was, it's four hundred million. Yeah,
it was like a big.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
Group of four hundred and one million, four.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Hundred and one million dollars. Yeah. Billion would be crazy.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
That would be just ever single donation.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
And you know what that means.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
That means history that we can steal Bryce Underwood from Michigan.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Don't say that. Don't say that. I was sending Kevin
that text.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I go, can you imagine we should send this to
all of our Michigan fans that because there's rumors that
Bryce Underwood might leave Michigan and go.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Explore the what's called the portal.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
Shannon, Yeah, I know this stuff, you know it. I
know the basics.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Like they're saying.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
They're saying that the quarterback at Michigan who makes already
like twelve million dollars a year might actually you know,
be enticed to leave. So one hundred million dollars from
these guys.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
One hundred million of it is going to UH support
and I in deals an il deals.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Sorry, I can't talk today.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
I feel no. Yeah, tom Izzo's not leaving that program
for a while.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Crazy because my stepson is a cheerleader for Michigan State.
And so I went to a lot of games, a
lot of football games in the fall, and it's crazy.
When they do the walk into Spartan Stadium, you know,
all the football player the team does the walk. They
were those players were head to toe designer carrying designers
because they're getting paid.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
I asked Luke about that, because Luke has befriended a
couple of players. I go, do they ever buy you
guys food or anything like that. He's like, no, they'res
cheapest and normal college students. I said to him, go
listen your radio DJ. Dad and hard working mom are
not buying players hubbards, So don't be buying drinks. Because
(15:46):
these guys got the money they can, they can afford
to UH to pay for a few things.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
All right, It's Mojo in the morning
