My my real name, I'm gonna start using that too,
Ernie Samuel, that's me. It's my real name. That's my
legal name. Mojo's my nickname. All right, real quick, I
want to welcome these guys in the studio. They won
at the Our Lady of Refuge auction Our Lady of Refuge.
I was the basketball coach there for a few years.
Was that the Owen sixteen season? No, we actually uh

(01:40):
we know we did not go in sixteen. We actually won.
I'm going to tell you two reasons why I coached
basketball at Our Lady of Refuge. Number one reason was
because my very good friend Bob Piles, who is the
principal of the school, called me up one day and said,
I need your help, and I know you will never
let kids down. They did not have a basketball coach
and they would not have a team if they didn't

(02:01):
have a basketball coach. So he said, would you coach
the fifth and sixth grade team or whatever it was?
And I said to him, I go, Bob, I hate kids. No, No,
I said, Bob, I love it. I would do it,
and I did it. That was number one reason. Number
two reason I learned when I started coaching. All the
moms are keldy and moms and they're hot. Am I wrong?

(02:23):
And the greatest thing ever? And I'm going to say
this to you. So we got Ethan Deli with his mom,
Melody Deli in studio with us this morning. Uh, we
got Tyler Yusef, Andrew Yusef and Brady I'm not going
to pronounce this name, Brady.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Brady say.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
And Kowie Cowie. That's not that's how it's spelled. No,
it's not really and Cowie Brady and Cowie. And then
what is what is the other we got? Which one's Melody?
You're Melody, and you are Lina Lena Yusef, you're the
mom Yusef. Okay, So let me tell you, guys, the
great my greatest thing of coaching basketball. There I used
to The moms obviously were unbelievable. Be beautiful, Okay. I

(03:07):
would rarely see the dads. Sometimes on Saturdays during games.
They would show up if they had the ability to,
because a lot of them were business owners. They owned
uh stores and other businesses. To get a kid to
do something, I would always threaten I was going to
call their dad and The greatest thing was the kids
were like, don't call my dad.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
So I don't know you guys, does that work? Says something?

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Way?

Speaker 2 (03:31):
How did you break your arm? Really?

Speaker 3 (03:35):
They go to Saint Mary's. All you guys are Saint Mary's. Guys,
go Saint Mary's.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I was just there yesterday. I was talking about the garage.
Happened the Saint Mary's Fair. No, they don't do it anymore.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Oh, they wouldn't do it.

Speaker 6 (03:46):
No, they had There was too much, too many people
going there and causing problems.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
That was like my favorite childhoods.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
That was, honestly one of the greatest events ever. The
Saint Mary Back. Honestly, I think they wished they was
just team take overs.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
It was.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
It turned out to be some craziness. But all right,
welcome to the studio. You guys get to hang out
with us. We're gonna have Shannon do the dirty, the
last dirty of the week.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Well, Jordan, the Morning's dirty on the thirty Shannon, what
you got in this hour is dirty?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Well, I want to first take a moment and say
happy birthday to one of our very favorite listeners. Her
birthday is actually not till tomorrow, but since we're not
going to be on the air tomorrow. Happy birthday to Kenetta.
Oh she's sweating her buns off working in the plant
right now.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
But we love your birthday.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
We love you so we hope you have a great
day tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
It's get It had to be fall like cuff and season.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
The Kansas City Chiefs head coaching to Read was not
really saying much when asked yesterday about his invite to
Taylor and Travis's upcoming wedding that everybody still insists is
happening at Madison.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
He's gone through the manage for any camp here and
there's all to talk about the wedding and suburb where
you keep going to the wedding talk about it.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
He's like, he's just uh. Speaking of Taylor, she did
make history last night in the in getting inducted into
the Songwriters Hall of Fame. She's thirty six, which means
she is the youngest woman ever to be inducted. Her
family was with her, Travis was there, and she was
very emotional talking about how much it meant to her

(05:23):
that her entire family her brother as well, uprooted their
lives to move to Nashville to start her.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
Career to choose songwriting over everything else in my life.
But it couldn't have been easy before my parents and
my brother good to just pick up and move our
entire family from Pennsylvania to relocate to Nashville. So then
I get home my draft in the songwriting cowcular of

(05:52):
the world. But after it became obvious that this was
not even remotely a temporary phase their tweet daughter was
going through. They all grew in their entire lives.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
To move me.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
How long did you say her speech was twenty one minutes?

Speaker 7 (06:06):
I won't however, gratitude.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
You guys for doing that.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
You want to know some notable names who are not
in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Oh, Prince, Oh, Madonna,
George Michael, Tracy Chapman, Phil Collins, you too.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I wonder if they'll ever get in.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well, really, you know, they put Taylor because it's a
big you know, she has had many many songs. She
holds the record, doesn't she for the most I don't
know what what else Prince has to do?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
It is it is amazing though, when you see it's like,
why not just have like the list of one hundred
people you know, they only want to induct like ten
a year or something like that.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
She's having a great moment though the Nicks are winning.
She's in toy Story to get married. It's a herd time.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yeah, and Leslie some of your brother in the Chicago
area yesterday it caused for some really scary city situations
at Midway Airport. I saw this video going around of
passengers having to evacuate a plane before one of the
big storms hit.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Oh no, no, no scared. Can you imagine being on
a plane in a tornado rolls through the terminals there?

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Because I just saw her posts like her hometown or
something got hit by a tornado.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
She's from Gary, Indiana, where the Jackson's are from. And yeah,
there was there's a tornado that raced through and actually
went towards the Grand Rapids in Kalamazoo Areas too. So scary.
