The Mornings, Dirty on the thirty. B Shannon with the
Dirty on the thirty. What's trending this hour?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
So, the families of multiple campers and two counselors at
Texas's Camp Mystic who died in those devastating flash floods
are now suing the camp. Remember this story, you guys,
from like the fourth of July twenty eight. People lost
their lives in that tragedy. That flood just all but
wiped out the Christian All Girls sleepaway camp located along
the Guadalupe River. One of three different lawsuits filed yesterday
(00:42):
includes the family of five campers and the two counselors
who died. Part of that lawsuit reads today campers Margaret Leila,
Molly Laney, and Blakelee should be third graders, and counselors
Chloe and Catherine should be freshmen at the University of Texas.
They are all gone, and while their families struggle with
their loss, the camp's actions since the tragedy have only
(01:04):
deepened the pain and those actions they're speaking of. The
lawsuit sites the recent announcement that Camp Mystic is going
to partially reopen one of its sister sites next summer
and then continue to evaluate plans to rebuild on the
site where this tragedy actually happened. The lawsuit continues through
it all the camp refuses to accept any responsibility for
(01:25):
its actions and failures to act, defiantly blaming the tragedy
on an act of God that no responsible steps could
have avoided. And the lawsuit says camp officials focused on
profits over safety, made catastrophic decisions concerning the cabin locations,
and had unsafe policies regarding floods, including an alleged never
(01:47):
evacuate order. These families are seeking more than a million
dollars in damages.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, and never evacuate order.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
A lot of people are really upset with because they
should have just gotten out of there, when in turn,
they say that the policy was always that they stay
there and evacuate inside of their cabins, which somebody said
that the state requires, which would be interesting to see
if you can even win a lawsuit if it's a
state law.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Uh, you know, saying that that's how you do it.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Supposedly, we now know two of Taylor Swift's bridesmaids, and
I think you're going to be as not shocked as
I was when I found out Gigi Kadid and her
childhood bestie Selena Gomez have made the cut and also
rumored to be on the list to walk down the
aisle alongside Taylor Sabrina Carpenter after she was spotted having
(02:36):
dinner with Taylor in New York City.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
What I feel like, celebrities shouldn't even have bridesmaids and groomsmen,
Like I always feel like celebrities it's like the Royal wedding,
you know what I mean? Like you don't like, you
don't see the royals having like bridesmaids and groomsmen, and.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
They had made the maid of honor investment?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Do they? Yeah? I mean Kate did. I'm trying to
think did Megan?
Speaker 1 (02:56):
I don't think.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
I don't think Megan did? Really? Oh no, Megan did? Yeah? Yeah,
all right.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Former NFL star Antonio Brown has pleaded not guilty to
that second degree attempted murder charge stemming from the shooting
outside of that celebrity boxing event in Miami that happened
back in May. His lawyer said Antonio was acting in
self defense after being attacked and claimed he was protecting
himself from somebody who had allegedly committed violence against him.
(03:22):
And if you forget the incident, Brown is accused of
grabbing a gun from a security guard and firing shots
at this man. A bullet grazed his neck. He was
extradited from Dubai. He's currently in New Jersey awaiting his
expected transfer to Florida for trial. If he's convicted, he
faces up to fifteen years behind bars. And did you
(03:43):
guys see the story trending this morning? I saw it
last night in fact, but this family was at a hotel.
I think this is in North Dakota. They're enjoying the
day swimming and they see one of the hotel employees
washing the hotel towels in the hot time, washing in
the hot tub.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Day leaving a Grand Forks family with several questions. They
took a trip to Expressway Sweets and Fargo and saw
bed sheets being thrown into the guest hot tub.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
At first, I.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Thought maybe it was down. The dream was broke.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
They couldn't get it you know, they were trying to
soak up the water, but then he's still adding more
in there and just like what is going on?
Speaker 4 (04:23):
They said they watched an employee dump sheets in and
mix it around with a broom.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Sheets and you're kidding sep on those sheets, you know,
Like I was really disgusted.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Hot tubs are heavily chlorinated, but due to the high
presence of bodily fluids, they can break the breeding ground
for bacteriod.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
That's so disgusting.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
My BT would be out of that hotel so fast.
All right, if you missed anything from today's so go
back and listen to the podcast on the free iHeartRadio and.
Speaker 2 (04:52):

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Describe a jingle ball to those people that don't know this,
because it's not like a regular concert. It's got obviously
a ton of artists, but in between each of the artists,
will you tell the listeners how long you have to
wait for the next artist to get up on stage?
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Oh, it's not long at all.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
And you guys come out and you say stuff, and
there's always something going on and so many things to see.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
And you know when flow.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Rider came out in the audience and walked around with
this guy on his head.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
We have we iHeart has mastered the rotating stage. So
while say Nelly is up on stage performing, they're setting
up Shine downs entire set, and then we come out
on stage intro, and then the stage just moves and
here comes the next artist.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
So you do not wait in between.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
So this is this is not like a not like
a concert where you got an opening act and then
an hour and a half later you got the actual
main act coming up.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
So congratulating.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
