Speaker 1 (00:01):
Qui Detroit, Toledo is Mojo.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
In the Morning.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Mojo. He's amazing live.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
Mojo.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
God, let me take you back to the beginning.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Alrighty ready, you're listening to Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 5 (00:31):
You're a Dodo ahead. All right, it's Mojo on the Morning.
I hope you had a good weekend. This weekend was
filled with Uh it's kind of funny. We had our
friend Courney in town, and Chelsea says, let's take her
around town and show her some of the biggest tourist destinations.
And I took her to one that people were doubting
(00:52):
me on. But it's truth. More people go to this
tourist destination than any other place in the entire state
of Michigan. I took her to the Somerset Collection, which
is the mall that we have here in the Detroit area.
They believe it or not, did you know that that's
a fact. More people go to Somerset Collection every single
year than ever go to Mackinac Island, the Henry Ford Museum. Uh,
(01:16):
you know, the Van Andel, you know, uh Arena, you know,
any of the destinations, Bloomfield, So there are more people
that tore through that place and so I showed her
the beautiful sites.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
You got the shop and I got to do a
little shop and it was crazy. I was going to ask,
they don't have that up yet, not yet, Santa Soon.
I guess like you, the seond one is something right.
Everybody else is putting all the Christmas uf first, let
things give past Christmas.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
There it was decorated for Christmas. But the fat guy
wasn't there yet, Like it wasn't there. There was a
lot of people that looked like Santa Clare there, but
it was some guy from Monroe.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
What'd you do this weekend? Ke I had a fantastic
weekend Saturday.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Michigan State, who's ranked twenty second now will be higher
in the polls. We defeated Arkansas as ranked at fifteen. Calipari, Yeah,
Calipari was in the building and also Darius Acuff Junior.
Many people from De Trait may know him. He played
at cast Tech. He's one of the best point guards.
He won a gold medal. He won a lot of things,
but he didn't win. On Saturday. I like Michigan State
(02:19):
and the nail Bider one by three. It was an
incredible atmosphere in Eastlansson.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
I love it, Ana, what did you do? And my
mom at her birthday? Sorry, happy birthday to mom.
Speaker 6 (02:29):
All right, all right, my turn now. Zach and I
went to the Red Wings game.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
I love it though.
Speaker 7 (02:34):
We had a great time.
Speaker 6 (02:35):
What except yes, didn't bring him lock, I know, but
we did have a good time.
Speaker 7 (02:40):
It seeds too.
Speaker 6 (02:41):
I was not drinking, Zach drink enough for both of
us and it was a blast. We met some listeners too,
so shout out to all of them.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
How many drinks did Zach have their expensive at that?
I know.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
Zach will have to confirm. I don't know, maybe two
or three doubles might have been in there.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Man goes that, Shannon, I saw you hanging in it
looked like you were at swim meets all weekend.
Speaker 8 (03:09):
I was at swim meets all weekend, which is really fun.
I just feel like I smell like chlorine still because
both Lucy and Smith swam and a meat that was
all day Saturday and all day yesterday. So I spent
my weekend in a in a high school pool, the
high school mandatorium.
Speaker 9 (03:25):
They did really well, they did. They both did really
really well better on Saturday than on Sunday. But there
were so.
Speaker 8 (03:30):
Many dang people at these swim meets. I mean this,
this thing was absolutely we were packed like sardines on
those bleachers and in fact, and I feel like you
can attest to this, I bought a new coat recently,
and so dumb me I was excited to wear the coat,
so I wore it to the swim meet. But you
have to take it off in these pools because it's
(03:52):
so hot and humid in there. So I had my
coat behind me on the on the bleachers and yesterday morning,
the guy who was sitting right behind behind me proceeds
to spill his entire coffee all over my brand new
coat that I had worn for all about nine minutes
on the drive from my house to this place. I
was so upset, and he was like, I'm so sorry,
(04:14):
I'm so sorry, as he's blotting it with the one
napkin that he had, and you know me, I'm.
Speaker 9 (04:19):
Like, it's okay, don't don't even worry about it's okay.
And inside I'm.
Speaker 8 (04:22):
Like the anger from inside out, like my head was
flames coming from it.
Speaker 7 (04:31):
Yes, that's the worst, because.
Speaker 9 (04:33):
It was a milky.
Speaker 8 (04:34):
Coffee and my coat was bull I'm like, I'm dumb
for even wearing it to this, but that when you
get something new, you don't want to dry clean it
right away.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
I always wondered when you do that, because I've been
to the guy that's been the spiller. And by the way,
when you're the spiller, if you spill on a complete stranger,
should you offer at least call us up and tell us.
Should you offer at least to help pay for whatever
you just ruined the damage you did? But I always
wonder when the person as nice as Shannon is and
oh there is right doing spiller and says it's okay,
(05:06):
it's okay.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Are they really wanting to rip my throat out?
Speaker 8 (05:09):
Yes? Yeah, literally, he had a napkin that was like
this and.
Speaker 9 (05:12):
He's trying to blind.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
And then the little spots of the napkin are getting
at work. By the way, the worst is when has
that also happened to anybody? Has anybody ever bought a
brand new outfit or a brand new piece of something,
or bought a brand new couch and somebody.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Spills on it, or somebody does it's you?
Speaker 5 (05:34):
If you do it, you know you could basically go
and take a dump on the thing, and you would
be fine because you're the one that did it, which
obviously you wouldn't unless you're really weird and like in
the kinky stuff, and you would do it. But but
when somebody else does it, it just is horrible.
Speaker 8 (05:50):
All the moms sitting next to him and they're just
looking at me wide eyed, like, yeah.
Speaker 10 (05:53):
I.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Had a brand new pair of shoes. This is when
I went to Zoftfo to get my off one fifties.
Shout out to my god Terearance, who showed me every
single element of that truck we're outside taking me around.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
This is what you're doing the cab. You do stepped
on the toe box of my brand new shoes and
he was like, oh, my mad I did the same
thing Shannony did.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
And I'm like sorry, bro, inside, I'm like you mother, bro.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
What I'm dude, it's a mistake. It was an honest mistake,
you know what I mean? You know what I hate?
Speaker 5 (06:26):
I hate when I wear a brand new pair of
shoes and it's got the white like you know, uh,
you know, ed Jean or whatever, and you look at
you look at your shoe at the end of the
day and it's got a big black scuff on it.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
You're like, where the hell that happened? Exactly what happened.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
I didn't want to look down at my shoe immediately
to like exacerbate my emotions, so I like waited until
we got in the car.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
He wasn't looking, and I looked down. I was like,
this got a whole black market.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Ashley Nicks turned me on to at these wipes, these
little wipes that are wipes.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Probably is that that's one of the more popular ones
in industry.
Speaker 9 (07:01):
It was my magic eraser everything.
Speaker 5 (07:03):
I actually had a guy. Everybody's got to have a guy.
She had a guy. Do you remember the guy? You
would come to the studio.
Speaker 9 (07:09):
And clean her shoes and clean.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Her shoes, and we would all bring shoes in so
it would be me, it would be Joe from the
Joe Show. I think Shannon even brought some shoes. It
would bring shoes in and the guy would sit outside
our studio. He would scrub these things.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
It was like el car washing.
Speaker 7 (07:30):
The shoe doctor.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
Yeah, m boy clues. I liked the idea that the
guy came to us. It was like the best thing ever.
I'm like, it was like a spa for my shoes.
It was amazing. Hold on a couple of textures here
right now, Shannon had the same thing happened to me
wearing a brand new dress a couple of weeks ago
and a guy spilled red wine on my tan dress.
(07:53):
That's going right there, Hold on, misfit, Tony. Should Shannon
have ripped that guy's throw it out?
Speaker 11 (08:01):
Well, Senna definitely should have ripped the throat out ahead.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
That's not why I'm calling this morning Mojo.
Speaker 12 (08:08):
I love y'all, but I have a specific question for
Kevin because he speaks with.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Such eloquent appreciate you.
Speaker 13 (08:16):
I want to I want to know if you're a
safe sexual like myself.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
You have to explain what that is.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
What is that sexual?
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Is a heterosexual male who is only attracted to intelligent women? Oh?
Are you? Are you a? What does it call it?
Speaker 4 (08:35):
Again?
Speaker 2 (08:36):
I hate hatreo?
Speaker 7 (08:37):
What is it? Sexual?
Speaker 12 (08:42):
Sexual?
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Kevin? Are you only attracted.
Speaker 11 (08:46):
Intelligence versus a woman's physical appearance?
Speaker 14 (08:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (08:50):
For sure.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
As long as you gotta get a hand on her shoulders,
I'm ready to go.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Are the pretty ones always so dumb? All right? Well,
thank you for that question, Tony. I appreciate it. He's got.
Speaker 5 (09:05):
Kevin has the greatest verbal game of any of us
on this show.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
So I appreciation.
Speaker 15 (09:16):
Yes, indeed I am, and I always knew he was
a hatreo sceptical or.
Speaker 16 (09:24):
Hi'm ojoe, you guys, we love you too.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
What's happening?
Speaker 17 (09:30):
I have a cream colored couch that I got and
I put seats on it just because I like to
keep it.
Speaker 8 (09:36):
As nice as I can.
Speaker 18 (09:38):
My boyfriend will come home and see that the seat
has been moved by my dog or whatever.
Speaker 19 (09:43):
And sit down on my cream colored couch with his
greasy ass.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Oh my god, what does he do?
Speaker 17 (09:53):
He's it works in the factory, so it is still green.
Speaker 20 (09:58):
Yeah, the ones.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
That's the wrong one. There you go. That's a better
one for you. What's his name? What's his first name? Trace?
Speaker 21 (10:09):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (10:09):
She hung up the phone. You gotta make him strip, Tracy.
What's going on? Joe?
Speaker 22 (10:13):
Hi?
Speaker 11 (10:15):
Hey, good morning everybody.
Speaker 12 (10:16):
I went to a Tigers game and I baptized a
kitten beer like two of them in my hands. And
then the upset at the kid. She bought me new beer.
Speaker 9 (10:26):
What did the kid do to make you spell your beer?
Speaker 12 (10:30):
Hit me square in the no spot?
Speaker 7 (10:34):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (10:35):
And the reaction was, Oh, it just flipped. I like that.
That's actually the word. That's the talk about a guy
that's got a verbal game. He backed ties the kid
in his beer. That was pretty amazing. All right, just
Mojo in the mornings back in the day, got back
in the day.
Speaker 5 (10:53):

Speaker 20 (12:06):
I'm so excited. My coworkers and I were going to
buy tickets last night.
Speaker 9 (12:09):
Oh really perfect.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Is that a coincidence or you just knew that we
were giving these away so you were listening to this time?
Speaker 20 (12:16):
Nope, just leaving work.
Speaker 24 (12:17):
Listen to you guys every morning.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
I love it. Thanks for listening, Devin. What do you

I'm a labor and delivery nurse in Southfield.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Oh my gosh, wow, how many babies we got last night?
Speaker 25 (12:29):
Last night?
Speaker 8 (12:30):
Four?
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Wow? Man? Is that a normal night or is that
like a lot?
Speaker 26 (12:36):
It like really ranges.
Speaker 20 (12:38):
It could be zero, it could be five or six.
Speaker 25 (12:41):
You never know what you're gonna get.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
That's amazing, like a box of chalk, lots of baby.
I love that baby in the middle of the night.
And I'm sure that these people weren't planning on it,
because there's no way that all of a sudden, it's
like middle of the night they want to be having
the Baby's as like one of those uh oh.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
We're going into labor, honey, grab the bag.
Speaker 12 (12:57):
Yep.
Speaker 16 (12:57):
We know in bad weather if they come in that
they're actually gonna have a baby.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Isn't that funny? Yeah, they say that. They say a
lot of doctors and nurses that will say that bad
weather will spur upon I guess it's the end and
I don't know. The anticipation of something right makes the
baby want to larine. That's awesome.
Speaker 5 (13:18):
Well, you do great work, So congratulations on winning this prize.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
You deserve it.

Speaker 8 (13:48):
Detroit Lions with win over the Washington Commanders yesterday, final
score forty four to twenty two. As was rumored, President
Donald Trump in attendance, even doing a little play by
play for those of us watching on TV.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Second and seven. Let's see what happens. WHOA, that's all right?
Crossk merrit not bad. Takes the top to the five
yard line. That's right, that's right, good, good runner. There
we go. This is a very big play. Don't you
think I think they have to get a touchdout. Let's
put it differently. They just have to get a touchdown.
There we go. Now you're doing my job, because that's
what I was going to be.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
You would think that it was like Eric doing his
impersonation of him. You know, yeah, yeah, it's great.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
It's going.
Speaker 8 (14:28):
I'm and Rossie Brown doing the Trump dance and pointing
up to where the President was sitting.
Speaker 15 (14:34):
Brown Lions touchdown.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
And a lot of fans booing. They boy, they were booing.
It was I would say it was a like probably
our country.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
There was like a fifty to fifty either had fans
that were cheering or fans that were booing. There were
louder booze than cheers. And flipping off that. I'm amazed
how many people give the.
Speaker 5 (14:57):
Middle finger these days, which was it's pretty interesting, like
you see all these pictures on social media right now,
people looking up towards the box and flipping the bird.
The problem with some of the booing was the booing
happened at a bad time of the game, or not game,
but bad time. They were doing a ceremony where they
were swearing in a bunch of military people, and so
(15:18):
as he was swearing them in, everybody was booing. So
it came across as if they were booing the people
that were trying to be sworn in as military people.
Speaker 8 (15:32):
You said, fifty fifty looks so sad that those poor people.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
I said, fifty feet Well, first off, you understand this
is Washington, d C. Majority of these people, did you
those a ton of boos. Majority of these people in
DC are out of work right now because of the
government shutdown. They're all working for the government.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
We didn't you didn't see the I saw lot. I
saw some Lions fans cheering, though. I thought that that
was interesting that you would see. There were some fans
that were chairing, But it seemed like some of the
Detroit people were chairing, and the Washington Commanders fans were
more so the ones that were new in the villains.
Speaker 8 (16:16):
Speaking of that government shut down, by the way, the
longest shut down in US history, the Senate has taken
a big step to reopen the government. A bipartisan deal
passed late last night with eight Democrats joining Republicans. So
this agreement keeps the government funded through the end of
January and fully restore snap benefits for the forty two
(16:38):
million Americans who rely on food assistance. Now, some progressive
Democrats are not happy, saying this deal gives up too
much on healthcare subsidies and other protections. They say, people,
this is not a good deal. Next up, the full
House and Senate needs to approve it. But for now
it looks like the shutdown is slowly starting to wind down.
(16:59):
Senator Tim Kine on federal workers getting back pay.
Speaker 27 (17:03):
And what we have in this bill is the restoration
of all the furloughed employees and a guarantee of their
back pay. The restoration of all rift employees who got
riffed after October one with all of their back pay,
and a guarantee of no rifts.
Speaker 8 (17:18):
Now I know a lot of people traveling over the
next month or two. What does this mean for flights?
There are still thousands being delayed or one hundred today
every single day.
Speaker 22 (17:28):
So I look two weeks out as we get closer.
Speaker 23 (17:30):
To Thanksgiving travel Listen, I think what's going to happen
is you're going to have air travel slow to way
truck cut.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
They have to vote the rest of this ind for
the House, and the House isn't there, so they had
to call all the people from the House, so they
probably won't even have it voted on until Wednesday by
the House to be able to do it, which means
that air travel the next few days is still going
to be similar where they're going to be cutting flights
and they may even cut more. Rumor is that it
(18:01):
potentially will go into effect by the weekend and then
the furloughed furloughed workers will all come back as well
as all those people that work TSA and FA will
get their pay. But it's uh, it's still caused so
many problems. I look at this and I think, why
do we as a government, why are we shutting down?
Like why do you shut down a government? And I
(18:22):
know that the whole idea is that that's their way
of negotiation. It's like a strike. But when you're not
feeding people, when you're not having safety in air travel, yes,
it starts making me think that there has to be
some kind of a way that the people who aren't
taking uh not to you know, all these people that
(18:44):
are voting on this stuff are taking a salary. So
like to me, if I'm a if I'm a politician
and I'm taking a salary, I think people should.
Speaker 8 (18:53):
Call them out for mille with you.
Speaker 5 (18:56):
Like I think that if you're a congress person or
you're you know whatever, you are working for the government,
you're working in the White House, and you're taking any
kind of money while there are people that are getting
furloughed or people that are not getting paid.
Speaker 9 (19:08):
Eat.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah, I mean you should. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Speaker 8 (19:12):
Kim Kardashian is not a lawyer to just yet. She
did not pass the California bar exam that she took
over the summer, just got the results back, but she
intends to try again. She wrote on her social media, well,
I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very
well dressed one on TV. Six years into this law
journey and I'm still all in until I passed the bar.
(19:33):
No shortcuts, no giving up, just more studying and even
more determination.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
The average person it takes three times to pass the bar.
Speaker 8 (19:40):
Yeah, so this is not uncommon.
Speaker 7 (19:42):
Do we know how what number this was for her too?
Speaker 9 (19:44):
I think this was one she did.
Speaker 8 (19:46):
She took the baby bark and then I think this
was her first time taking the actual bar, if I'm
not mistachious. A couple more, and Target is rolling out mandatory.
Speaker 9 (19:56):
Smiles for the holidays.
Speaker 8 (19:58):
The retailer has a new ten four rule, which requires
employees to greet customers within ten feet and they actually
have to start a conversation with them if they're closer
than four feet, all to boost slumping sales. With in
store numbers down about three percent, targeting. Target is hoping
(20:19):
that smiles and friendly faces and small talk can help
bring back shoppers and holiday tier to the stores.
Speaker 7 (20:26):
I want to talk when I shop.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
Yeah, lower the prices, lower the price and pay the
people more to smile for guys. Say, I hate to
say it, but if you're working there and you're making minimum,
you're going to be like I have to go and
that's part of my job. Is stock shells and smile.
But I guess you know at small time.
Speaker 8 (20:43):
If you're within four feet, do you miss anything from
today's sho You can always go back and listen to
the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 28 (20:49):
You make me smile, like the truck fall out of bed,
like a bird in my head.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Directors crazy in the morning, the thirty it's so cold.
Even my car said, no, I'm good, it wouldn't start.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
This is Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
You're called.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
Winner of tickets, is uh oh? Look at this Tim
from New Haven? I Tim, how you doingbody?
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Good?
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Good morning? Good morning Tim. How much snow did you
get yesterday?
Speaker 12 (21:37):
Looks like we got about three four inches out here?
Speaker 4 (21:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (21:39):
I saw that? Uh got Miskegan? Man, I feel so
bad for you guys. Miskegan got like five inches. You
know what though, you if you live West Michigan, you
got that snow belt going that lake effects stuff all
the time.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
It's so funny.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
I always talked to Mike, and Mike and I will
have conversations and I'll be like, what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (22:00):
He's like snowblowing.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
I'm like, Mike, you must be snowblowing all the freaking time.
Do you wait until it's completely done or do you
just say screw it. I'm just gonna leave my driveway
the way it is all winter?
Speaker 12 (22:14):
Tim, Oh, I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
I thought you're talking to Mike.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
No, No, Mike's no Mike, Mike is. Mike's not on
with us. He's on BE ninety three right now. But
do you so?
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Do you?
Speaker 5 (22:24):
Do you snowblow right away? Like I cause when I
it's guaranteed. I don't know if it's Murphy's laws ann
and Murphy's law, but uh, if I go out and
snow blow, we're gonna get more snow.
Speaker 8 (22:33):
Yeah, yep, that's how it happens.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Yeah, so it always happens to all right, Tim, you
got tickets. You're a good guy to talk to. Give
me work. Tim's like, I have no I I'm a
Shineedown fan. I don't even know who you guys are.
I'm like, wait a second, I get it. Are you
a big fan of shine Down?
Speaker 12 (22:53):
I know I like him, not a huge fan, but
I like them.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Okay, because we've been getting fan club members from Shinedown
that are winning tickets. And the funniest thing is when
I say that Nelly's there too. They're freaking out.
Speaker 5 (23:02):
They're like, Nelly's gonna shine, It's gonna be so much fun.
It's it's kind of like when Jelly Roll did our
show and people were like so excited about jelly Roll
being there, and then I don't know who it was.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Who is the Who know the K pop group?
Speaker 21 (23:16):
Now?
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Who is the K pop group?
Speaker 8 (23:19):
Last year it was a big like Michael j was insan.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
They got up on stage and everybody was like eh,
and then their fans went crazy.
Speaker 9 (23:28):
Yes that's what I mean.
Speaker 8 (23:30):
Right, Yeah, Remember they all brought those like light up
things and like, oh, are we selling those?
Speaker 9 (23:35):
But no, they all brought them with them.
Speaker 5 (23:36):
Yeah they I guess that was part of their their things.
So all right, Well, more tickets coming up next hour.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
It's Mojo in the Mornings five.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
It's six fifty five.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Five, six fifty five five, six fifty five.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
Time out for the five at six fifty five. I
hope you had a good weekend. Maurice is back with
us this morning. How you doing.
Speaker 10 (24:00):
Good?
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Going for two in a row.
Speaker 5 (24:01):
It was like a one and done parade at the
end of last week after we had a fifteen time
champion are you ready to get that streak going again.
Speaker 12 (24:10):
I'm ready.
Speaker 16 (24:10):
Let's do it.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Let's do it. I love it.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
All right, your challenger this morning, I don't even know
where you're from.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Where are you from, Zach?
Speaker 29 (24:22):
Is?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Where's Wason? I've never been to Wason.
Speaker 11 (24:27):
That's about forty five minutes west of Toledo.
Speaker 5 (24:30):
Okay, Waseon? Is it anything fun to do in was Seon?
Or just go to Toledo?
Speaker 12 (24:37):
Pretty much?
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Just go to you know what? That's honesty?
Speaker 5 (24:41):
That is that the motto there, It's like, hey, just
go to Toledo. That's actually a pretty good one.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
It says that when you insered the city, right, welcome
to Wason. Just go to Toledo. All right, We're going to.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
Lock up Maurice in a soundproof area and we're gonna
start with Zach five pop culture trivia questions.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Whoever gets the most right wins.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
I always goes to the champion, as he works for
the public Works division of the city and he's heading
to work right now on a very cold morning.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Zach, it's nice to have you listening to the show.
Speaker 12 (25:10):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Here we go.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
Question number one in the five of six fifty five

interview with That with a Vanity Fair. Which sister is
she talking about? Who's the oldest Kardashian sister? Question number two,
(25:32):
Actress Ellen Pompeo is celebrating her birthday today. What long
running medical drama series does she star on?
Speaker 8 (25:43):
Anatomy?
Speaker 5 (25:44):
Question number three? There's really only one Thanksgiving song and
it's sung by this actor comedian who is her?
Speaker 2 (25:58):
So what?
Speaker 12 (26:00):
I don't know?
Speaker 5 (26:01):
All right, pass on that one. Question number four. The
Detroit Lions took a win over the Washington Commanders yesterday.
Next up the Eagles. What city do the Eagles represent?
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Philadelphia?
Speaker 5 (26:15):
And question number five is going to be an audio clue,
so listen to your phone today. In nineteen sixty nine,
this long running children's series.
Speaker 15 (26:27):
Debuted on PBS. What's it called? What's it called? Tam
Zach Zach Barney.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
Barney, Let's bring the champ back from the soundproof area.
Speaker 8 (26:45):
Oh, Zach, you got to that last one? Was that guineas?
Speaker 15 (26:50):
I met some dumbastard, wash on, wash you on?
Speaker 2 (26:57):
All right, it's cold though, it's a very cold morning.
Everybody's kind of mellow.
Speaker 5 (27:01):
I mean from that winner that we just had a
couple of minutes ago, Zach Murice, we can bring some energy.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Come on, give me some energy.
Speaker 28 (27:10):
All right, let's do it.
Speaker 5 (27:11):
If I can make it into work, you know, with
a bad heart, you can make it on our air
with some excitement here, Okay, come on, guys, Maurice, You're
gonna win this thing easy. Today, Jennifer Lawrence called the
oldest Kardashian sister annoying in an interview with Vanity Fair.
Which sister is she talking about?
Speaker 8 (27:32):
Chloe?
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Both of you, guys, Courtney Courtney is the oldest Kardashianney.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
I always thought that it was Kim for some reason.
Question number two, Actress Ellen Pompeo is celebrating her birthday today.
What long running medical drama series does she star on?
Is she still on there? Or did she leave there?
I thought she left, but I don't know. Question number three,
there's really only one Thanksgiving song and it's sung by
(28:03):
this actor comedian Who is he?
Speaker 30 (28:08):
Oh shoot, I'm gonna say Jack Block.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
All right, She's got to get at least one more
of these things. Maybe these are tough questions. Who knows
question number four. The Detroit Lions took a win over
the Washington Commanders yesterday. Next up the Eagles. What city
do the Eagles represent?
Speaker 16 (28:29):
Philadelphia?
Speaker 7 (28:30):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (28:31):
Or as they call them in Philadelphia, the Eggles And
last question for a clean win. Let's see if you
can get this question right. I cannot believe Zach missed
this question in an audio clue for this one today.
In nineteen sixty nine, this long running children's.
Speaker 15 (28:48):
Series debuted on PBS.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
What's it called?
Speaker 12 (28:55):
I'm no clue worker?
Speaker 8 (28:56):
Word is stat to streets.
Speaker 7 (29:07):
Winner.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Congratulations to you, Maurice. Another good win. All right, thank
you guys are fantastic. I feel like, honestly, I feel
like I am just kind of doing this all by
myself this morning here with our listeners, kind of having
a tough one.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Are you guys doing okay today? Everybody? Maybe it's the snow,
you think so it could be. I'm telling you, it's
one of those days where I feel like everybody's kind
of in a mundane type of a mood, and you know, yeah, so.
Speaker 9 (29:44):
Snow, it's a new day.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
I think.
Speaker 5 (29:47):
Honest you can't tell you what it is. I'm gonna
go on record to say this. I think daylight savings
time should be completely abolished. You know what, I think
Kevin would even vote for Donald Trump if you abolished that.
That was like a week ago, But now we's gonna
be used to.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Last week.
Speaker 5 (30:03):
Everybody was depressed, everybody was down. We got to get
rid of it. It's the idea that it turns dark
at five o'clock. It's the dumbest.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Stop ever I thought it. I thought they already, to
your word, abolished it.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
We need to.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
For some reason, there's somebody that's got their hands on
this crap, and I don't understand. I don't understand what
they're thinking. Loosen the grip. Yeah, this is bull crap.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
It's Mojo in the Morning's five.
Speaker 31 (30:27):
It's six fifty five W Detroit Whiskey, three grade stations,
one stupid show.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
This is Mojo in the Morning. Amy, What are you
calling further right now?
Speaker 14 (30:48):
Well, I texted that the last caller who just won
the tickets said he was from new Haven, or you
said he was from new Haven.
Speaker 32 (30:58):
That's in Maca County.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
Not who cares? Who cares? Come on you like, oh.
Speaker 33 (31:09):
Miskegan Lake effects no, come, you know, we.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Got stop this I don't care. I don't care daylight
savings time. Daylight savings time has got me mad. I
can't deal with it.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
I can't.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Oh.
Speaker 34 (31:30):
I love Amy. I will do anything for Amy. So
if she wants to say that new Haven's in Africa.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Wait, wait, wait a second.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
According to the Googles, new Haven is a village in
Lennox Township within Macomb County, Okay, Haven's.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Five minutes from my house.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Guys, Come on, who cares, Amy, Amy? You know what
I say to you.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
Poo poo on you, Amy, poo poo. You know I'm
going I'm going home. I'm going home to get underneath
the blanket right now. I like everybody else that gets
to like sleep in on a day like today. It's
Veterans Day. I should be off tomorrow.
Speaker 8 (32:12):
Tomorrow is Veterans Day. Eleven eleven day is Veterans Day.
It is tomorrow. I promise you.
Speaker 9 (32:17):
It's my sister's birthday.
Speaker 8 (32:19):
Well, it's always that day tomorrow, even it.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Should be a Monday.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
Today is is some holiday then, because there's no traffic
on the roads today, so unless everybody is just getting
a late start. So all right, Amy, thank you for
the call. It's Mojoe in the Morning. I hope you
had a good weekend. We got second date update coming
up this morning. Also Shannon with a lot of big breaking,
dirty news. Huntricks is going to be on with us
(32:45):
this hour actually had some fun. I recorded it after
the show on Friday. I stayed late on Friday. I
don't know if you know this. I work hard, so
I stayed late to get a chance to meet the
the members of Hunter Tricks from K pop Demon Hunters,
and I was actually pleasantly surprised. First off, they they're
not from Korea. They are Koreatan Americans. They grew up
(33:07):
I think in like the La area. They're they're big actors.
You know, they're beautiful too.
Speaker 9 (33:11):
Yeah, in performing seriously amazing.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Yes, with probably help of something, I think, but they're great.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
They were awesome. It got a chance to hang with them,
So all right, it is Mojo in the Morning Show.
Kevin has got something interesting. He's going on a date.
But what kind of a date are you going on?
Speaker 1 (33:31):
I think it's a sympathy date, which I'm totally fine accepting.
I'm not too proud. But earlier last week, Beyoncaposa the
video of a conversation we had on the show where
I shared some very personal things, some very heartfelt emotions
and words. And a friend of mine who I've known
for quite some time but we've never known each other
(33:53):
in the romantic since saw the video and her and
I like, we like each other's pictures on Instagram, but
we rarely talk, kind of like never one of those
type of things. But she called me off the blue
missed the call. I'm in the grocery store. We'll get
my stuff, get on the road. I'm like, I got
a long drive. Let me call her back.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Call her back.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
She's like, caddamn. It's like I saw your video. Oh
my god, I'm so sorry. And then it goes from
like I'm so sorry to well how have you been?
And then I'm like, oh, maybe I can use this
to my advantage. And now I got like a sympathy
date where you know what I mean, it turned out
(34:35):
to be a loss in the.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
Beginning, but you know, took it back to this and
all of a sudden, you start not going that great
like you started off with, I'm doing okay. And then
when she's like, well, I mean I told her I
was for real, I was like man, it has been tough.
It has been I kind of leaned in a little bit.
You're not gonna lie, but this week or next week
were supposed to go out. I know I'm not the
only one that's done this though. So it's interesting because
(34:57):
I've always heard of sympathy fs. Yeah you know what
I mean, Like you know the word. I can't say
it on the radio. People do, though, And I've never
known you to be a sympathy kind of a guy. Well, hey, man,
you you play the game, all right?
Speaker 7 (35:13):
This is more than just a f though. Are you
actually interested like y'all might date?
Speaker 4 (35:17):
Well?
Speaker 1 (35:17):
I mean this, the schedules didn't a line for us
to connect that day or this weekends on that fast,
but so we set up at a time to actually go.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Get you act.
Speaker 9 (35:27):
I think in general, is this somebody like sympathy or not?
Which you have wanted to.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Learn that light? But she doesn't.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
She just moved back to Detroit too, But so it
hasn't been an opportunity. Would you would you have a
chance with her if it wasn't for the sympathy moment?
Like maybe you out of her or she's like way
out of your league.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
I don't think so, because that those are always the
best ones when they're way out of your league and
they sympathize with you. Can I tell you something, Yeah,
that's how I got the loss of my virginity. Yes,
detail the loss of my virginity happened because the girl
that I lost my virginity too. And I don't want
to say her name because she does listen to the
(36:08):
show sometimes on the iHeartRadio stream, but she was going
through a struggle. Her mom and her dad were going
through a little bit of some marital issues. They eventually
got divorced. They didn't get divorced at this particular moment,
but they were fighting. I went and picked her up
because her dad and her mom were fighting. So I
went to her house and she just sat there. She
(36:30):
was crying, and she said, you aren't always there for me.
You're the greatest ever. And I said, you know what,
I'm Yes, I am great, I'm great, And she kind
of leaned in to give me a hug. And next thing,
you know, that was how we made We started making out.
And the next thing I know, Jed's a millionaire man
that was from the Beverly Hill build next thing, you know,
(36:52):
Jed's a millionaire. But I have to be quite honest
with you, I don't know if there was ever going
to be that situation with her because I was the
friend zone guy, and I was always in the friend zone.
But I being always in the friend zone, sometimes you
got to date the friend. Sometimes you got to do
the friend.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
You know. Yeah, after that, we did that. We did
a couple of times.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
We do we do?
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Did we? We did each other a couple of times.
Speaker 5 (37:17):
I don't know if you can do that or call
it that, but we had sex a couple of times
after that, and then decided that she probably was way
out of my league. I think she got smart, but
she was like, is there any listeners of ours that
have ever had this happen to them where they were
going through like a rough patch in their life or
somebody else was going through a rough patch in their life.
(37:40):
And next thing, you know, you know, maybe after I
heard that, there's a lot of sex that happens after funerals,
you know, there's a lot of time.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
I don't know, I mean, maybe you right though, emotions
are hive. People are looking for affection and love and
to feel that connection that they just lost. Have any
of you guys, Have any of you guys given up
giving up the because that I but I hate that word.
Speaker 9 (38:04):
And you know I hate that word.
Speaker 8 (38:06):
Nothing I can.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
Because of sympathy. No, you never did.
Speaker 7 (38:10):
I can't say I have.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
I always feel like I always feel like, uh that
that's uh. Vulnerable moments sometimes lead to sex. Eight four
four Mojo Live or if you can relate to this text,
call me and Lydia will call you up and get
you on the radio with us. But I'd love to
know if there's anybody that's ever had uh sympathy dates
(38:37):
or sympathy love making or discounts.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
You see somebody looking sad at the bar, you give
them an extra shot.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
That happens a lot. That actually is probably more common
than the than the the sex and stuff like that. Yeah,
by the way, you know what the gooch is, don't
you know?
Speaker 20 (38:56):
That does happen a lot.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
It's the tweener, It's the team.
Speaker 4 (39:05):
Amber.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Amber.
Speaker 5 (39:06):
I'm sorry we're defining the goods right now there. Amber, Hi, Amber,
what's going on? You said it does happen a lot?
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Huh?
Speaker 18 (39:15):
It does?
Speaker 10 (39:16):
So?
Speaker 19 (39:16):
I slept with my best friend of like seventeen years
after a bachelorette party one night and ruined our whole
entire friends. Oh no, we don't even talk anymore. And
it was just like a in out thing. And then
we both like looked at each other and we were like,
this is not We're not meant for this, Like we're
so sweet best friends, but it ruined our friendship.
Speaker 18 (39:34):
So don't sleep with your friends.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
Who made the first move.
Speaker 35 (39:37):
Though he had always had a crush on me and
it wasn't ever mutual.
Speaker 19 (39:43):
And then like that, I came back from like a
long vacation in x past, so I was like, is me?
Speaker 30 (39:50):
Is me?
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Yeah? You know what, though I don't think it's necessarily
that bad.
Speaker 5 (39:54):
I mean I don't think I obviously would have lost
my virginity at the time that I lost if it wasn't.
But I think sometimes about I think Chelsea and I
started as friends, Like Chelsea and I were not romantic
with each other, and we developed a friendship first, and
I think that that's it. I think that's really sometimes important,
so I think give it a try. I think that's
sustainable as well.
Speaker 19 (40:15):
Yeah, me and my girl friend or together, and we've
known each other since, like freshman year, but it never
worked out and then we like land into each other
again and we've done together seven years now, So you're
definitely right.
Speaker 16 (40:25):
Friendship start everything.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Thanks what we're gonna say?
Speaker 1 (40:27):
No, I was gonna say that's sustainable, like a friendship,
Like you're building a great foundation if you do it
on something that's surface level as the surface last and
easy to dissipate.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
I'm Mackenzie.
Speaker 15 (40:40):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
How are you?
Speaker 33 (40:43):
I'm good today?
Speaker 2 (40:43):
How are you? We're good? You can relate to this too,
what's up?
Speaker 16 (40:47):
I can relate to this.
Speaker 25 (40:48):
My fiance has had a lot of people die in
his family, and he's a sad.
Speaker 16 (40:52):
Guy when it happened. I, on the other hand, I
just laugh because I don't know what to.
Speaker 34 (40:57):
Do with it.
Speaker 25 (40:58):
I'm just like, whatever, people die, okay, So the only
thing I know how to do it him?
Speaker 9 (41:05):
You think, I bet he's wishing people dead left and right.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Has he killed anybody? What's up?
Speaker 4 (41:15):
John? Hi?
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Morning, guys, Good morning.
Speaker 36 (41:18):
So as the old saying goals, the shoulder to cry
on the right.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Uh, oh my.
Speaker 8 (41:27):
God, John, I've never heard that before.
Speaker 31 (41:38):
Maybe he didn't call his wife to shake him while
on your date, but something didn't right.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Second d update is after Reef this morning, Mojo in
the morning.
Speaker 5 (41:47):
All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. So I uh,
I bring this up on the air because I really
do think sometimes this will help people. But I have
an addiction, and it's something that I've talked about numerous
times before on the air. And no, it's not food,
even though food is definitely an addiction for me. But
it's an addiction that has caused some issues in my
(42:08):
relationship for many, many years, actually probably since the beginning
when Chelsea and I got together. But this weekend it
kind of came to a head, to a point where
I'm going to try something to help this addiction and
help my relationship with.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
My wife Charles.
Speaker 5 (42:23):
She finally just had enough and it got to a
point where she just finally said to me, she goes,
I can't take it any longer. And that addiction is
my addiction to my phone. I am always on my phone.
I am constantly either looking at social media, I'm constantly
texting back and forth with people, and I'm constantly and
this is one of the worst ones, picking up phone
(42:46):
calls in the middle of conversations. So like Chelsea and
I really don't get a ton of time to talk
to each other because work will keep you, and then
of course her balance and home and everything else that's
going on will keep her. So we only have moments
to get other where there's not other people around. We're
very social people, and we'll have those intimate moments with
(43:06):
each other. Many of them are in a car A
lot of times. It's literally us just decompressing after I
get home from work, and I will still pick up
the phone to talk to Tony Travado, or I'll still
go check what our social media has to say, or
I'll re returning emails or text messages from salespeople or
other people that are on the show. And finally, she
(43:27):
just said I had enough with this, and her having
enough with it has led to basically her saying, you
know what, you've given up on us. I'm going to
give up on you. And it's true, it really is true.
So I want to bring this up on the air
because I want to see if this will help anybody.
First off, are there any other people that are addicted
to their phone? They're constantly on their phone. I'd like
(43:47):
to know what you guys do. But also, are there
other things that come in between you and your relationship,
and I came up with some examples of this. Phone Obviously,
maybe kids is a big one. Your kids come in
between you and your significant other. Work, a lot of work,
a lot of stuff going on, or lack of work
sometimes does if you're not working. Sometimes that actually makes
(44:09):
a person depressed. Gambling is so big right now.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
I got got a lot of guy friends that spend
more time gambling than they do actually spending intimate with
their spouse.
Speaker 5 (44:20):
Porn is a huge deal. And then another one too
that a lot of my guy friends are golf. A
lot of guy friends that I have go golfing all
the time, even in the winter time. They're going on
golf trips. And if you are somebody that is dealing
with this in your relationship, I want to hear from you.
But this is what Chelsea and I are going to do,
or this is what I'm going to do, not what
Chelsea's doing. Chelsea's doing great. I am going to give
(44:43):
Chelsea to start off thirty minutes phone free a day,
So I'm going to when we are together, I'm going
to make the intentional act of turning my phone off,
putting my phone in another room, or honestly leaving in
my car for thirty minutes a day so that we
(45:04):
can sit there and see how each other's doing and
try to get a moment where we just spend time together.
She's been giving me her her time, I haven't been
taking it, and I have not been giving.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Her mind at all.
Speaker 8 (45:17):
So that's a good catchup time.
Speaker 5 (45:18):
And I think, honestly, that could lead to And this
is why I've gone on eight thousand diets. I've done
every diet on a man, and I realized you got
to start small to grow tall. And I want to
eventually go to a point where I can do a
phone free Friday. If I can get home from work
and not even be on my phone anymore.
Speaker 9 (45:36):
That's going to be so tough. Even the thirty minutes.
Speaker 8 (45:39):
I feel like you're going to have to do what
you said, like leave it in your car, go plug
it in in your room so it's totally out of
sight and you don't even hear it vibrate or beep
or whatever.
Speaker 5 (45:48):
Yeah, you know, And honestly, what is thirty minutes. There's
nothing bad happens in thirty minutes. And if it does,
happen in thirty minutes, I'll be there to catch it
in thirty one minutes.
Speaker 8 (45:59):
I think everybody can relate to the phone becoming an issue,
and if you're a parent kids for sure, for Wes
and myself, and it's the issue of giving him my
undivided attention because I always feel like I'm like busy,
busy on the go. And even when I'm at home
and he comes home and he's trying to download his
(46:20):
day with me and actually have a conversation with me,
I'm unloading the dishwasher, I'm unpacking groceries, I'm going through
the kids' backpacks.
Speaker 9 (46:29):
I run into the other.
Speaker 8 (46:30):
Room to grab the laundry to bring in and fold,
all while he's trying to have a conversation with me.
And now more and more I notice he'll just stop.
He'll totally stop talking to see if I even notice
that he's stopped talking.
Speaker 9 (46:43):
Yeah, But and I make excuses, I'm like, I can't.
Speaker 8 (46:47):
It is so hard for me to just focus that,
like to just stand across from you at the counter
and listen to what you have to say without multitasking.
Even during the show, we all multitask on our computers
while we're talking. It's so hard for me to just focus.
I said, I do better if I am putting away
dishes while we're talking, and He's like, no, no, no,
I'm asking for your undivided attention just so I can
tell you about my day.
Speaker 5 (47:08):
And I always say that, we always because I do
the same thing. I always use the show as my
example of why I'm not doing something. And I think Chelsea,
just over these years, just said I'm done with excuses.
I'm done, you know, I'm done with this whole thing.
Speaker 1 (47:23):
I wonder and I worry, and I'm gonna tell you why,
Like I wonder what you're going to do with this
thirty minutes, And I worry because I don't want it
to be something that you just schedule, you know what
I mean, Like it's not a meeting, Like Okay, I'm
gonna carve out this thirty minute meeting block to sit
down and talk to Chelsea instead of like doing something.
I wonder, like are you gonna do something? Are you
(47:45):
just gonna be around her with her and experience what
that's like with a no cell phone.
Speaker 5 (47:49):
Honestly, I think it has to be somewhat of a
formality of scheduling things, otherwise it won't become a habit,
at least at first. And I think that the one
thing that we'll be doing is seeing that what she's
really going through and how she's really feeling, because there
are times where she'll she's told me she's not well
and or or she has said, hey, somebody's not well
(48:12):
in the family, and I'm not even going huh huh,
And then all of a sudden, I'm like, so, you're
what's going on with you? And she's like, I just
told you Tom, Like, she tells me so much stuff
that honestly I don't hear, you know, and I don't
hear it because I'm not paying attention. I'm on my
phone doing other things, and honestly, there's nothing that I'm
getting that is important at all. I mean, I've gone
(48:34):
on an entire weekend without a phone before and did
it intentionally went back to my phone afterwards. It was
the dumbest set of text messages from your Tony or
you know what I mean, or the show, but Carrie,
what's going on?
Speaker 37 (48:50):
Not a whole lot?
Speaker 17 (48:51):
First time, long time.
Speaker 18 (48:55):
Sorry.
Speaker 17 (48:55):
I had to say you guys, I know this is
a serious topic. But I mean I listen every morning.
Speaker 21 (49:00):
We love you.
Speaker 17 (49:03):
When you said, uh, you know it's a half hour,
well for a person going through recovery. I've been recovered
for some time now. But when you say, that's how
I had to start out my life. You know, after
recovery was take five minutes at a time, and if
I can make that, make it to the next five minutes.
I was doing great, and it eventually led up to
(49:24):
that half hour. But for some that half hours like
is it ever gonna end?
Speaker 29 (49:30):
You know?
Speaker 20 (49:30):
When you said that, yes, and so the phone you know.
Speaker 17 (49:35):
It is, it's said, is it is? It's electronics, but
it's like an addiction.
Speaker 29 (49:39):
It is.
Speaker 2 (49:40):
Yea.
Speaker 5 (49:40):
Thank you, Jerry, and thank you for for you talking
about and being open with us to tell us about
your addiction.
Speaker 2 (49:46):
I I, oh, yeah, appreciate it.
Speaker 38 (49:49):
It wasn't for the grace of God and he has
my bag. I celebrate recovery.
Speaker 33 (49:56):
We pray for me, Yes, absolutely, I sure.
Speaker 17 (50:00):
Well you and Chelsea and Shannon, that Lydia, everybody. I
do absolutely.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
I love you, appreciate you so much. Yeah, we're all
proud of you. Rich what's going on?
Speaker 33 (50:10):
Hi?
Speaker 4 (50:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (50:11):
How you guys doing this?
Speaker 2 (50:12):
Morning, good man. What's what's your thing that you're addicted to?
Speaker 12 (50:16):
Video games?
Speaker 4 (50:17):
Is?
Speaker 8 (50:18):
Oh, that one should have been on the list for sure.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
You spend more time with those.
Speaker 15 (50:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (50:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (50:24):
I find myself like if I have a bad day
at work, or really any day after work, I come
home and literally, like you know, I'm on the game,
and my poor wife and kids will say.
Speaker 25 (50:34):
Something to me and I have a headset on and
I'm like, yeah, yeah, you know, I'll give them yeah, yeah.
Speaker 20 (50:38):
Then I have no idea what they were talking about.
Speaker 12 (50:40):
I still, to this day could tell you what they
said to me half the time.
Speaker 8 (50:46):
That one, to me, is even worse than the phone
because of the headset, Like you can't even hear what
someone's saying to you.
Speaker 5 (50:52):
You know, the things that you missed too. And I
don't know if this has happened with you, but I've
missed moments that Chelsea in my kids have said I
missed my son coming out. Chelsea literally said, Tom, did
you hear what Jacob just said? And I'm like yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah, and no you didn't. And it was Jacob
telling Chelsea and I hit a boyfriend, and that's how
(51:13):
he told us that he was gay, I missed it
because I was on my phone, Benito, what's up?
Speaker 22 (51:19):
Hey, mourning everybody?
Speaker 17 (51:23):
My daughter's boyfriend is addicted to his phone and his earbudget.
Speaker 8 (51:27):
Oh god, Oh that can't be good.
Speaker 5 (51:30):
Yes, it's probably not good. First yea, literally does it
cause for a problems and they're relating?
Speaker 2 (51:35):
Oh wow? Does he miss like baby crying and everything too?
Speaker 23 (51:39):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (51:39):
Yeah, right there?
Speaker 18 (51:40):
And he does not acknowledge.
Speaker 39 (51:42):
No, she'll speak to him, he doesn't acknowledge her.
Speaker 38 (51:45):
Yeah, it's bad.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
Do you think it's something that could come to a
head like it has with us?
Speaker 12 (51:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 33 (51:56):
I really do.
Speaker 2 (51:57):
Well, Yep, it's.
Speaker 5 (51:59):
It's when it gets a point where it's so frustrated.
I appreciate Chelsea for getting this frustrated without walking out,
you know what I mean? Like, and I appreciate that
she was willing to have this conversation. And I think
that was one of those things where it happened on
Friday and it started off the weekend. But honestly, I
was happy that it did and it didn't happen on Sunday,
because then that means that she would have gone two
(52:20):
more days without saying something that was really bothering her.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
What's up Cavin, Hey.
Speaker 12 (52:25):
Good morning. So I was saying that it makes me
kind of wonder if I should so my wife passed
away in a four and fourteen Okay, yeah, sorry, and
so I wonder Yeah, thanks. So I'm wondering. You know,
I do have a girlfriend, but I'm wondering if maybe
I should only date because I do use my phone
(52:45):
quite a bit, and it makes me wonder would I be,
you know, not paying attention as much as I should.
Speaker 14 (52:51):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (52:52):
Well do you? I guess that's keV.
Speaker 5 (52:55):
I think that one of the things I find is
that my addiction to my own is I constantly think
that I got other people that need something from me
instead of the one person that should matter. And I
think that with you being in a relationship now again,
and I don't know if were you like this with
your your wife.
Speaker 12 (53:17):
Could have been so many years. Well, you know what,
I shouldn't say that not as bad that was back
when we had next pills.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
Yeah, yeah, nobody was addicted to their next heilp.
Speaker 5 (53:28):
But what I'm saying is, use this as an opportunity,
Use this as an opportunity to look and say I
want to start my next relationship off on a better foot. Uh,
and do it in memory of your wife, you know,
do it for her because she wants you to be
healthy and happy and be you know, present.
Speaker 8 (53:46):
And not just for romantic relationships, for friendships, for your work,
for all the relationships in your life.
Speaker 5 (53:52):
And family especially. I'm sure that that it would mean
a lot to your family. I think about my son,
you know, telling me that he has a boyfriend and
I wasn't there and that became a punchline to a joke,
and honestly, it's done, you know, so much damage I
think too U to my family over the years that
I don't even realize it.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
But Amanda, what's up.
Speaker 18 (54:15):
I I just want to call and say, I'm very
proud of you, Mojo.
Speaker 17 (54:19):
The fact that you actually listen to what she had
to say, and I think she was very clear in
her message, and that boils down to she married Tom.
Speaker 13 (54:29):
She loves Mojo, but she married Tom and she.
Speaker 40 (54:31):
Misses her husband.
Speaker 17 (54:32):
Yeah, and that needs to be a separate thing.
Speaker 41 (54:35):
The fact that you recognize that and realize that, help me.
Speaker 18 (54:38):
This is going to work.
Speaker 7 (54:40):
Recognizing you have a problem is the first step.
Speaker 11 (54:43):
Absolutely every time, and do nothing about it.
Speaker 12 (54:46):
If you don't give it the attention it deserves.
Speaker 5 (54:49):
And I gotta be honest with you. I give her
a lot of credit because nobody wanted to marry Tom.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
No, no, no, believe me. If Toya, what's up, Toya?
Speaker 37 (55:02):
Hey y'all?
Speaker 12 (55:03):
What's up?
Speaker 16 (55:04):
How y'all doing?
Speaker 2 (55:05):
What's going on?
Speaker 23 (55:07):
Hey?
Speaker 28 (55:08):
So you know understanding? Let me start with understanding the
context of what you're saying. I do feel you should
cut yourself just a little slack. And I kind of
even with listening to Shannon's comment, and.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
Maybe because I can attest, I am someone.
Speaker 28 (55:23):
Who constantly has multiple things running through her head, busy multitasking.
Sometimes it is like everyone, just like everyone learns different,
everyone receives information different, Everyone's love language is different.
Speaker 16 (55:37):
Right, this is falls in that same parameter.
Speaker 12 (55:41):
Everyone can't sit still.
Speaker 28 (55:43):
That doesn't mean I'm not listening just because I'm not
sitting still like Shannon was saying, she unloads the dishwasher
and things. However, I do think it is important that
if you do or can give an undivided amount of time,
that is important.
Speaker 16 (55:57):
I'm not saying it's not, but I.
Speaker 12 (55:58):
Think you should cut yourself a little.
Speaker 16 (56:01):
And don't be so hard on yourself.
Speaker 28 (56:03):
You juggle a lot, and yes, your family is the
most important, but that doesn't mean to your comment, it
doesn't mean other people don't need you, right, You still
have other relationships that are important as well. So I
would say, just cut yourself a little slack.
Speaker 2 (56:16):
Yeah, I appreciate it, but go from there. Yeah. But
and then, and that's where I say this.
Speaker 5 (56:21):
I gotta have my priority set too, and other people
do need help, but I gotta like, Chelsea's got to
be my priority, you know what I mean, And my
kids have to be my priority.
Speaker 16 (56:30):
But of course, of course, but look, you're.
Speaker 12 (56:33):
Doing an amazing job.
Speaker 28 (56:34):
You've been doing an amazing job for all of these years.
So if you set your mind to something, Mojo, I
know you're going to do it. So that's the blove.
I can't like to hear an up they love y'all.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
I wish there was a shot for that too.
Speaker 8 (56:45):
Here's what you should not do, by the way, do
not set a timer on that phone that's in the
other room that she's gonna hear going off after thirty minutes.
Speaker 5 (56:53):
Honestly, I feel like, you know, when when we talk
and we are in conversation, I mean age, we're engaged
in it, you know.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
But and that's the thing.
Speaker 5 (57:03):
And the other thing too is trying to set dates
like That's the other thing that Chelse and I were
talking about is like we we go out so many
times with couples or friends. We got to have moments
where it's just us Mojo in the Morning, Snow, it's
a herpes and blither.
Speaker 8 (57:19):
This is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 4 (57:22):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (57:23):
It wasn't even like one of those ones where I
was like, it's so pretty outside yesterday. I was just
like I don't want it right now, but it is here.
Snow is here.
Speaker 5 (57:31):
Jingle Ball is going to be here too, and we
got to get into the season. A Hunterrick's with us
in just a second. Your chance to see Nelly shine down,
the K Pop Demon Hunters sing along. That's going to
be happening, and a whole bunch more at our jingle Ball.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
December ninth, You got it?
Speaker 5 (57:48):
Yes, So December ninth, Height four Tour, Mojo Live ninety
fifth Collar is gonna win some tickets.
Speaker 4 (57:53):
Mojordan, The Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 2 (57:55):
All right, Shannon, which got in this Hour's Dirty?
Speaker 9 (57:57):
So did anybody watch SNL over the weekend.
Speaker 8 (57:59):
I didn't, but I heard all about Nikki Glazer facing
a lot of backlash after her SNL hosting debut featured
a monologue full of jokes about rape, caediphilia, and sex
trafficking that many viewers called disgusting and cringe.
Speaker 4 (58:20):
Every time you go to.
Speaker 42 (58:21):
A women's restroom, a public women's restroom, and you sit
in the stall, there's always a poster on the back
of the stall that's asking you if you're being trafficked women.
We have these, right, Yes, yes, they're in every stall.
Speaker 9 (58:32):
They're in every world language. I mean English is really tiny,
and it's like you wish, but.
Speaker 15 (58:37):
It's like.
Speaker 42 (58:40):
Men's men's restrooms do not have these signs. I don't
know what signs you have, maybe like just signs that
are like want a slave, like text traffic just sixty
nine sixty.
Speaker 9 (58:49):
Nine looks so bad.
Speaker 8 (58:50):
She at one point compared her own fears in her twenties,
which she called quote unquote good old fashion and rape,
to gen Z's women's fears of being trafficked. She then
told this really weird story about showering with her nephew.
Speaker 9 (59:09):
He was he was four, and it was very cute,
and my sister was like, you can take a shot
with you.
Speaker 7 (59:12):
It's fine.
Speaker 42 (59:13):
He does it with us, And I'm like, okay, that's
fine for you guys, but are you really okay with
like an adult showering with your child, Like maybe it's
okay if you like come and supervise.
Speaker 9 (59:23):
And she was like why And I was like, because
what if I'm molested?
Speaker 2 (59:26):
Like uncomfortable laughs? But those sound like fake lash too, don't.
Speaker 9 (59:34):
They never disgusting?
Speaker 8 (59:37):
But that's what I'd say if I was gonna, you know,
like what and the whole And by by the way
I picked the Nott.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
She's like, I still think that that Tom Brady was
just Yeah.
Speaker 8 (59:55):
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Welcome Sydney Lapper, Outcast,
the White Stripes, Sound Got Bad Company, Sultan Peppa, and
Joe Cocker. Over the weekend, some cool highlights. Avril Levigne
hopped on stage to duet with Sydney Waffer.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Yes what a good song it?
Speaker 22 (01:00:12):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (01:00:17):
Doja Cat helped out Outcast Excuse Me with Miss Jackson.
Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
Jackson it was that's so cool.
Speaker 8 (01:00:32):
Jack and twenty one Pilot did a little submination Army.
Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:00:47):
I love Saltan's pretty Papa getting honored by in Vogue.
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
They did what a man, What a man want?
Speaker 8 (01:00:53):
A really good man That performances were all pretty crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
He congrats to John Sykes, our guy John Sykes from iHeartRadio.
He's actually the head of the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame and so he does.
Speaker 5 (01:01:03):
Yeah, he does the whole committee and everything like that.
He put together one of the best classes of the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Finally artists that I know.
Speaker 24 (01:01:12):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 9 (01:01:13):
Well, that's why I was able to do the story today.
I'm like, oh, okay, I know all these people.
Speaker 8 (01:01:17):
Starbucks is apologizing after the chaos that broke out at
its stores nationwide over those limited edition Barista Cups, the
collectively yeah collectible bear shaped tumblers that sparked ours long lines.
Speaker 9 (01:01:34):
There were brawls among customers.
Speaker 8 (01:01:36):
I saw so many videos on social media of people
like camping outside and then just getting into fights as
the doors open, trying to get one. In a statement,
Starbucks said it was disheartened by isolated incidents of aggressive behavior.
It urged customers to treat employees and each other with respect,
(01:01:57):
and they did say the supply will be replenished in
waves over the holiday season to discourage crowding. So if
you still want one and he didn't get one, there's
a good chance that you can get one. And lastly,
another win for the Detroit Lions last night over the
Washington Commanders and fans right away noticed something different about
(01:02:20):
coach Dan Campbell. Those glasses a little bit of a
fashion statement.
Speaker 12 (01:02:25):
Today.
Speaker 4 (01:02:27):
I can't see it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
I can't see anymore.
Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
Changes coming in.
Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
I mean, just talking about periods. If you were cloud players,
those the mindset and high changing things up there.
Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
Where'd you calo on the place there? Yeah?
Speaker 32 (01:02:39):
You know, it was just let's let's try something a
little different, right, you know. And and uh look, I
know if I know what I want to do, I
know how I want to do it. Now that being said,
this is a collaborative effort, now, I mean I was taking,
you know, input from John Morton that whole time and
the other coaches. So, hey, man, what do you think here?
Third down? All right, we get into this third and
seven plug blahlah blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
I loved by the way that he was doing all
the play calling.
Speaker 5 (01:03:02):
Man, I don't know if he can do that consistently,
but the offense look good and Jamo should be happy
because he's finally getting the ballad.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Do you like reading glasses on older guys? Are you
kind of like?
Speaker 4 (01:03:16):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (01:03:17):
I just liked it on him.
Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
I thought it was funny because.
Speaker 5 (01:03:19):
Some women, younger women will say that they think got
the guys with reading glasses.
Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
They'll pull them out and stuff like that. So good, Yeah,
it is kind of fascist.
Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
Listen if we scoring the way we scoring and the
offense is clicking on all cylinders like it was yesterday,
where whatever the hell you want glasses put a little
ring around with the little shame from your neck.
Speaker 2 (01:03:41):
I need Dan calling all plays.
Speaker 8 (01:03:43):
If you miss anything from today's so go back and
check out the podcasts on that free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
All right, Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 15 (01:03:51):
On social media's Mojo in the Morning, He's dirty on
the thirty.
Speaker 7 (01:03:57):
I can't wait for real to come over and meet
my parents.
Speaker 15 (01:03:59):
I a great time let a total loser on Bumbo

happens at eight twenty on Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 5 (01:04:10):

Speaker 30 (01:04:22):

Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
Avatina? What is this Avatina?
Speaker 5 (01:04:30):
I've never heard that name before, and it looked interesting
when I saw it up on my phone board. Here,
you're a winner, Avatina. Did they want to name you Ava?
And then they wanted to name you Tina, so they
did it Avatina Abatina, so they wanted it to be
Ava and have a never.
Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Speaking of.
Speaker 23 (01:04:55):
Time on the boat.
Speaker 2 (01:04:59):
You're a winner. You're want to jingle ball, y'all.

Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
Speaking of K Pop Demon Hunters, I got a chance
to hop on a zoom with them on Friday morning.
Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
The three were so sweet and I want to play
you guys some of this because I didn't know a
lot about uh Huntricks and what Huntricks was all about,
so I did a little research ahead of time, but
I think they gave me more info about them than
any research that I could have done. Hun Tricks, Can
you guys?
Speaker 19 (01:06:22):
Hear me?
Speaker 26 (01:06:23):
Yes?
Speaker 18 (01:06:24):
We can?
Speaker 32 (01:06:24):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
How are you hi?
Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (01:06:28):
It's so nice Now I have everybody right, I have
EJ Reami and Audrey Nuna. Oh my god, I got
the Grammy nominated Unbelievable Huntricks with you right now?
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
How were there? And you guys just found that out too? Right?
How does that feel?
Speaker 7 (01:06:48):
Valid?
Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:06:50):
I think it's getting that.
Speaker 29 (01:06:52):
I was seeping a little bit it feels a little
like validating I feel I feel like good pat on
the shoulders.
Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
Yeah, we should all have on shoulder I would stop crying.
So I love it.
Speaker 5 (01:07:03):
You got clean ax and everything there. That's amazing. So okay,
So you had to do these interviews or you got
these interviews all set up. Did you get a chance
to at least text a family member or you know,
mom or somebody in saye, Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
I was blowing up right now talk.
Speaker 43 (01:07:25):
I have to go and do not disturbed so I
don't get interrupted in these interviews.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
Oh my god. That's so funny.
Speaker 5 (01:07:32):
And the funny thing is they probably have all their
notification sets so that anytime you guys are making news,
they're getting notified.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
And I just got notified just a second ago. About
you guys.
Speaker 18 (01:07:44):
Yay.
Speaker 5 (01:07:46):
First off, I'm honored. I'm Mojo. We're in Detroit, Grand
Rapids and Toledo and it's the middle.
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
Of the world.
Speaker 5 (01:07:53):
It's cold and uh, but we love we love our
Hunter Tricks, we love K pop Demon Hunters and you
guys have the number one most sing alongable song probably
ever and it's it's got to be wild for you guys.
I don't know if you guys have ever experienced hearing
your song and looking over at a kid to an
adult singing along to it.
Speaker 7 (01:08:15):
That's the best part.
Speaker 8 (01:08:17):
I think, this whole thing, that's what makes it like
really click for me.
Speaker 43 (01:08:21):
I think those interactions and I went to sing along
this past weekend and I was like, you know, hidden,
but I went to an earlier showing because it was
a bunch of kids. They threw a party in there.
There were up in their seats, jumping around, screaming. It
was a whole party, and that made me cry so much.
I was like in the corner, just bawling.
Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
My eyes out.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
You cry a lot, Are you okay? You're very emotional.
Speaker 43 (01:08:47):
I think it's all this pent up, enteredy like feelings
finally coming out from the past few months.
Speaker 8 (01:08:52):
I'm like, yeah, I.
Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
Told this story on the radio that you know how
big a song is, and obviously you guys are big
because of this is such a huge song, but also honestly,
the you know, our K pop demon hunters are so huge,
But I knew how big you were when I was
driving around.
Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
It's beautiful outside. It was an eighty degree day, and
you know.
Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
How You're at a red light and you hear music
coming from another car and you're like, what are they
listening to?
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
And I want to know and I look over at
the car and it is no joke.
Speaker 5 (01:09:24):
A forty something year old dude in the car with
your song just as up loud as possibly can be.
And I'm going, you know what, I think, these guys
are pop culture craziness right now.
Speaker 29 (01:09:38):
Wow, I feel honored after that by yeah, shut up,
Oh my god.
Speaker 32 (01:09:44):
It was.
Speaker 18 (01:09:44):
It was a beautiful thing.
Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
And it was a nice car too. It was literally
it was a really really nice car. It was like
a Bentley or something like that. I'm going, rich guys
love this.
Speaker 4 (01:09:52):
Song coming up his stalks.
Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
He's like stock going up.
Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
Right. I want to talk about a couple of things.
Speaker 5 (01:10:05):
First off, we're really excited about jingle Ball and your guys'
association with jingle Ball. I want you to know that
there are so many you know, parents to you know,
college age kids that are so excited to come to
jingle Ball for the sing along with you.
Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
So excited to be there.
Speaker 7 (01:10:21):
We're excited.
Speaker 5 (01:10:22):
And I have to tell you when I was looking
at stats on the song. But also you ladies and
all the great talent that you have. You the first
female K pop group to be number one the longest
running girl group on the Billboard Hot one hundred charts,
beating Destiny's Child, which to me, when I saw that status,
(01:10:43):
it's like one of those stats that you see in
sports and you go, this person's a better hitter than
Hank Aaron.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
You're like, what's going on? That's amazing?
Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
Oh my god, I know it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
Well, I don't know this is this is insane. I
have like, oh god, I can't digest it right now.
Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
I needed how did you guys all meet or how
did you guys come together?
Speaker 8 (01:11:05):
This movie?
Speaker 29 (01:11:06):
It is literally like we kind of briefly saw each
other when recording and then when this all, you know,
the fans just love the fans truly like got us
together really and we just started performing together or rehearsing together.
Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
I have known each other before, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:11:25):
We never really like we never worked together like that.
Speaker 43 (01:11:30):
Like the first time we actually were in the room
together the three of us was at the premiere.
Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Oh yeah wow.
Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
And I always wonder like when you come together because
I've asked justin Timberlake this way back when and sync was,
you know, just kind of going and he was going
on solo, and I said, what if you guys don't
like each other? You know, Like what happens if you
guys don't like each other?
Speaker 7 (01:11:52):
You know?
Speaker 5 (01:11:52):
And now you're all of a sudden doing all this
press and even doing a lot of shows together.
Speaker 8 (01:11:57):
They we love each other.
Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
They oh, we love each other.
Speaker 4 (01:11:59):
We really love each other.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
We are blessed.
Speaker 10 (01:12:04):
I'm so blessed to be around these two women, and
they teach me so much and it's honestly working with
them as one of the greatest joys of being a
part of this film.
Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
That's cool.
Speaker 5 (01:12:13):
I want to ask you guys each one by one,
what was the craziest job you ever had before now
doing what you're doing? EJ, what was your craziest job
you ever had?
Speaker 29 (01:12:24):
I worked at Abercrombie and fish Oh my god, a little.
Speaker 5 (01:12:28):
The people in the front just be like, Hi, wow,
And imagine I could hear your song in an Abercrombie
really really loud, with the smells of Abercrombie going right absolutely.
Rayami the same question.
Speaker 8 (01:12:43):
I used to be a nanny for eight years.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Wow, did you like the kids? Were they good? Kids.
Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
I love.
Speaker 43 (01:12:49):
I mean, listen, kids are so useful and lively and
they bring you life. I loved being a nanny, very
good money, Wow, flexible schedule as a student nice.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
Are they are the kids young still? Or are the
kids older?
Speaker 7 (01:13:05):
Actually?
Speaker 43 (01:13:06):
No, my last the last family I watched, the kids
are now once graduated college. The other ones a junior, Wow,
are still in contact. They come to my concerts.
Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
It's really cool, beautiful and Audrey n No, what about you?
Would you have?
Speaker 10 (01:13:23):
I was an usher at a theater in college when
I was at NYU for a year, and I just
was able to It was actually kind of fire gig.
It's funny because I have no directional sensibility, so I
tell people.
Speaker 3 (01:13:36):
To go to the wrong seat all the time.
Speaker 10 (01:13:38):
That's great fun to see free plays and be supposed
to theater like that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
That's amazing. Well.
Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
I love the chance to get to talk to you guys,
and I know you guys are as big as ever.
In jingle Ball, for everybody that wants to know K
pop demon Hunters sing along, We're going to all be
singing along with you guys, and we're really excited about
doing that. And I know that everybody's excited with iHeart
for your performance at jingle Ball, and I went into
(01:14:08):
the interview with them on Friday, which, by the way,
you can see the zoom of that Bianca's posting on
social media. I went into it in five seconds before
Lydia grabbed me and said, hey, they just got nominated.
I'm not kidding. So they found out as I found out,
and that's how they were able to kind of know
that they were just nominated Song of the Year Artist Year.
(01:14:31):
I mean, that's a pretty big nomination, well deserved for
three women who got put together through a movie in
Kate Pop Demon Hunters. All right, jingle Ball tickets coming
up in thirty.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Detroitquedo is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
Mojo. He's amazing live.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Mojo.
Speaker 28 (01:15:04):
I think.
Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
Let me take you back to the beginning.
Speaker 4 (01:15:08):
Alrighty, ready, you're listening to Mojo in the Morning. You're
a Dodo.
Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Ahead, we go, we go, let's go.
Speaker 5 (01:15:18):
Second date updates coming up in like the next twenty
minutes and coming up in just a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
What she did that is not getting her a callback?
Speaker 5 (01:15:28):
She'll explain, and actually he'll explain even more coming up
in the second date update also on the way in
just a couple of minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
This lady who I saw in the news is.
Speaker 5 (01:15:38):
Definitely a better deer hunter than any guy that goes
up north. She got she bagged three bucks this weekend
on ninety six with her car. Talk about that before
that cav getting into it. This morning, you got something
coming up here and I just I've lost it. But
(01:15:58):
beyond oh oh uh, we got to give keV you
and I got to give Bianca a little talk, and
Nana something that happened to her on a date this
weekend that could be a red flag. Okay, all right,
So she's our little sister and we need to give
her some advice. So that's all coming up here in
just a little bit. I want to start with Anna
(01:16:19):
on this one. Here Anna again, for some reason, Friday
mornings is Anna's day to like he was gonna say, no,
Friday you always look great, don't get me wrong, but
Friday mornings you always got like, I'm like, oh my god,
she looks like she's like the executive vice president of something.
Speaker 9 (01:16:36):
And then I think you looks so cute today.
Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
She's always cute, but cozy.
Speaker 7 (01:16:40):
Today it's freezy.
Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
But if today we're Friday. Would you have worn that
or would.
Speaker 7 (01:16:44):
You be on coachy to switch it up and dress
up every day?
Speaker 5 (01:16:47):
And I have a I'm convinced, and I don't know
you very well. I'm gonna need to hire a private investigator.
I think you have a double life going on. I
think you're living a life where you have a different
occupation or something after the show on Friday, because you
kind of bolt out of here fairly quickly, and then
you bolt out.
Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
Of here dressed like your sales executive or something.
Speaker 5 (01:17:09):
Are you do you have a job selling those new
residences over at the Hudson's Building.
Speaker 6 (01:17:13):
No, but Fridays are like then I finally have time
to think about things that aren't the radio. So, like,
maybe I'll go to brunch after Oh so you y'all
like hang out with my friends during the week, I'm
like asleep at eight pm.
Speaker 5 (01:17:26):
Okay, so you're preparing yourself for post show hanging out
with friends activities.
Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:17:32):
By the way, is it bad that on Fridays sometimes
I will find myself going out with friends still wearing
the outfit that I wore that way.
Speaker 7 (01:17:40):
I don't like to change.
Speaker 5 (01:17:42):
I don't like to change like, I think it's kind
of weird. Like I we went out Friday night to
Wilders for dinner and it was a really really nice restaurant.
And Chelsea's like, are you going to change? And I
said to her, why do I need to?
Speaker 7 (01:17:57):
I'm like, you kind of just sit here. I feel
like you're exercising.
Speaker 5 (01:18:01):
I mean, yeah, it's not like I work construction or
anything like that. And I got like dirt in my
fingernails or something like that. And she's like, but you're
wearing the same thing that you were earlier today. I'm like,
that just means you didn't like what you were wearing
and she wanted you to change.
Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
Probably I changed. I ended up changing. But and what's
going on?
Speaker 6 (01:18:17):
So?
Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
And I hear that the job is coming in between
you and your family right now?
Speaker 6 (01:18:21):
WHOA, I mean sort of, I'm having a little bit
of guilt when it comes to being present in my
nephew's lives and just my family's lives. So when I
started this job, things picked up significantly for me, just
having the radio stuff. It's also boosted my TikTok stuff,
(01:18:41):
and I've been very busy my parents. For those of
you who don't know and my nephews and sister live
about an hour north of where I live in Detroit,
and they want to see me all the time, which
is nice to feel like they want to see me,
But I feel like I have worked past ten years
(01:19:01):
to get to where I am now and things are
just starting to one get fun where I get to
do really cool things that I want to do, but
to do things that I think will continue to further
my career or help me achieve even like a higher
level than where I'm at now. All of this to
say is that I haven't had a lot of time
(01:19:24):
for myself, let alone time to spend with my family.
And they live close enough to where I feel obligated
to go see them, but far enough to where it
takes a lot of time right to go just for
like a dinner or something.
Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
Are they saying something?
Speaker 6 (01:19:42):
They don't complain, but they make remarks about, oh, it's
been so long since we've seen you, Oh we miss you,
which I get it, but like I don't even have
a day for myself, let alone like time for that,
And recently I tried to go back and do like
a dinner with them, and for context, we wake up,
(01:20:04):
I wake up around four am. The dinner was at
seven pm. I did not have a chance to even
go home and nap because right after the show, I
had TikTok meetings.
Speaker 7 (01:20:12):
I had this, I had that.
Speaker 6 (01:20:14):
I get there and I'm very quiet, and everyone's like,
Anna's in a bad mood. Anna's quiet and as sad
Anna's this, and I'm like, no, Anna's tired, and They're like,
why why don't you nap?
Speaker 7 (01:20:22):
And I'm like, I don't have time to nap?
Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
Yeah, Like I just don't. I don't even feel like
how often do you see them? So give me a
kind of perspective.
Speaker 5 (01:20:29):
You've been on the show for a short time, but
how often since you started working on the show are
you going out to visit them.
Speaker 6 (01:20:35):
I used to go once a week, every Sunday, and
now I probably haven't seen them in a month.
Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:20:40):
And I really feel bad when it comes to my
nephews because I want them at my niece.
Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
I want they ever to come to you so that
you don't have to drive.
Speaker 6 (01:20:48):
Yeah, so my mom will like come to Eastern Market
now and then, which is nice. Yeah, it's just something
that I'm struggling with. And I was talking to my cousin,
and he said, it's almost like when it comes to
Thanksgiving or something, we're gonna have a couple of days off.
I should take those full days to be so present
with them and enjoy that and like not stress as
(01:21:08):
much about going home every other weekend or this or that,
and just like invest myself into like certain times. I
don't know if that's the solution, but I know all
of you have insanely busy lives too, So give me
some advice.
Speaker 7 (01:21:21):
Please.
Speaker 2 (01:21:22):
Oh, I will tell you my kids never come home.
Speaker 7 (01:21:27):
Far away.
Speaker 5 (01:21:28):
No, no, but Luke is away at Michigan State. I
don't think he comes. Luke actually won air crazy thing
Luke went to yesterday. He went to his buddy's house
in Oakhurst, which is in Clarkston from Michigan State, to
watch the football game.
Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
And we live like another twenty minutes away.
Speaker 5 (01:21:45):
But I said to Chelsea, go, I was a little
disappointed when and she goes he's having fun.
Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Let him have fun.
Speaker 5 (01:21:51):
Like Chelsea understands that, but don't you you also, what
do you think chanting how often should you have to
see your family?
Speaker 8 (01:21:58):
Well, I don't know that there should be How often
should you have to see your family. It is it's hard,
and I feel like there's always guilt. So I have
a sister who lives out of state, my middle sister.
I have a sister who lives like ten minutes from me.
My mom lives ten minutes from me, and my dad
and my step mom live in Allen Park. They're like
thirty minutes away. And my schedule is nutty in this
(01:22:19):
season of my life with work, with kids, stuff, just
with all of it, and so I'm always feeling guilty
for not spending enough time with especially my mom. That's
something I'm really struggling with right now, and I'm finding
that the solution for me is to invite them to stuff.
Like yesterday I got to see my dad and my
stepmom because I invited them to the kids swim meet,
(01:22:42):
where there wasn't time in my day to go down
there and have dinner or whatever. But so I try,
I try really hard to do those sorts of things
to incorporate them so they get to see me, they
get to see the kids. But I do think that
amid all of the busy, it is important you have
an opportunity. Your family does a Sunday dinner that's such
(01:23:04):
a great opportunity to like throw it on your calendar
one one Sunday one and really make it the priority.
Not every Sunday, not every Sunday. I'm saying one Sunday,
Like throw it on your calendar right now for the
next two or three months and be like this is
this is protected space, especially because, like West tells me
(01:23:26):
this all the time, my husband's mom and dad are
not here anymore. They've passed away, And he's like, you
don't understand how lucky you are.
Speaker 9 (01:23:32):
Make time.
Speaker 8 (01:23:33):
Make the time.
Speaker 6 (01:23:34):
The weekends for me are also like so busy with TikTok,
Like yesterday I was doing stuff with the Red Wings
all day. So it's like even then, I feel like
I just don't have the time.
Speaker 5 (01:23:43):
If they died, who's getting all the money? Did your
sister or are you gonna get.
Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
Any of the money in the world.
Speaker 5 (01:23:47):
My nephews for sure, your nephews getting out, well, then
you better start going with some of this. I don't
let me grab Justin then I want to get Kev's perspective. Justin,
would you want to say Donna?
Speaker 13 (01:23:56):
I just wanted to say, you know, she's a great
addition to the show. I love her, but you know,
my I don't like to get dark in the morning
because you guys are always talking about you know, cool awesome,
funny things. But you know, my my best friend's dad
just passed. My other friends that passed, you know, like
three weeks later. You know, there's always time for family.
Speaker 34 (01:24:15):
You know.
Speaker 13 (01:24:16):
I don't like this sounds kind of like mean, but
you're just making excuses. You know, I'm super busy, but
there's always ten minutes. Even if it's ten minutes. You know,
even if the drive's forty five minutes, you can stay
for fifteen.
Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
It's worth it.
Speaker 13 (01:24:29):
You know, you have your parents, you have your family,
but to make sure that you know, you see them
as much as you can.
Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
Think it's wonderful too. Money justin I can always do that.
Speaker 5 (01:24:37):
I think it's what you gotta paid bills though, you
know what I mean, Like, it's not like she's making
money and in getting rich. I mean she's also you know,
trying to pay the bills and things too. But justin,
I like how you went right to the death part
of the whole thing. That's you know, where you're like.
Speaker 12 (01:24:53):
Hey, you know it's I gotta be I gotta be direct.
Speaker 43 (01:24:57):
You know.
Speaker 13 (01:24:57):
It's because family is, you know, the most important thing,
I believe, And you can always make time. And I
understand she's busy and she's doing great things, but it
always make time for your mom and dad and you're
not used because always remember the times that you were there.
You know, that's You've got to make quality time. You know,
it doesn't have to be a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (01:25:15):
But quality time. What do you think, Kay, what do
you think? It's a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:25:21):
We've all heard you can't pour from an empty cup.
So I'm a firm believer if you have to take
care of yourself, because even when you do have those
opportunities to be around the people you love, you won't
be able to be fully present because you're run on
an empty tank. I also like to say that, you know,
a lack of communication leads to imagination. Sometimes people just
don't understand how busy you are and what doing TikTok
(01:25:44):
actually takes from you from an energy perspective. So I
think also communicating the reality of how you feel, how
it's making you feel, will help ease some of those well.
Speaker 2 (01:25:53):
Why why aren't you here? You can't just take it?
Speaker 1 (01:25:55):
Well, this is why and actually opening it up the
book and showing them what it is actually doing. And
then I also say phone calls are okay. Sometimes people
think a lot. I just got to see him. It's
not the same. I try to call my mom, like
my man was just saying, maybe just five minutes, and
sometimes just hearing your voice closes that gap, closes, that
(01:26:16):
distance of feeling like you're forty five minutes away.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
Great advice.
Speaker 23 (01:26:19):
What's up, Jenna, him O, Joe, Good morning everyone, Good morrning.
Speaker 18 (01:26:25):
I have to agree with Kevin.
Speaker 21 (01:26:27):
Definitely can't pour from an empty cup. And I feel
like Anna is doing what we all seem to do
and just putting all.
Speaker 33 (01:26:34):
The pressure on ourselves, whereas we also.
Speaker 21 (01:26:37):
Need to ask our loved ones to meet in the middle, compromise.
Maybe go to Sunday dinner once a month and then
maybe pick a weekday or a different day where you
guys can meet somewhere in the middle.
Speaker 4 (01:26:50):
Can come to you.
Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Yeah, yeah, don't you actually get together with your pops too.
Speaker 6 (01:26:55):
A lot, usually on Tuesdays at the casino. But he's
been losing so much, he's not Oh.
Speaker 5 (01:27:00):
Really, Because I was gonna say, because I was gonna say,
why don't they drive with Pops and come down with
him and hang out.
Speaker 18 (01:27:07):
I liked Jenny something not so expensive.
Speaker 5 (01:27:10):
Well, yeah, maybe let's tell Pops. So let's let's meet
at Let's meet a five guys instead of Pops.
Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
Need to stop. Yeah, hold on a second. Diana is
a mom and she wants to come from a mom's perspective.
What's up, Diana?
Speaker 17 (01:27:26):
Hey guys.
Speaker 44 (01:27:26):
Yeah, So, as a mom raising six kids age eighteen, sixteen, fifteen,
eleven and four and three nieces, nephew's cousins, I've lost.
Speaker 21 (01:27:36):
Aunt, a grandmother.
Speaker 44 (01:27:38):
The compassion these days is what we want from our kids,
you know, like if you're not doing it from the
heart as a mom, I know, if I have to
call my kid and be like, hey, come visit me,
or hey, come have dinner with me, if it's not
from the heart, we can feel it. So, you know,
instead of it being a scheduled Sunday, Hey pop in
on a random Wednesday afternoon. I know you don't have time,
(01:27:59):
but it's just kind of it kind of hurts as
a mom when you know your kids all of a
sudden is there for you when times are tough, rather
than being there.
Speaker 11 (01:28:07):
For you when times are good, you know.
Speaker 33 (01:28:09):
So that's just yeah, that's just.
Speaker 5 (01:28:11):
My Can I say something, Diana, And I'm going to
speak for Chelsea on this one because I agree with you, Chelsea. Yeah,
I had that perspective with my kids, and I would
get so pissed when Jacob or Luke or Joe would
come home and all they would do is sleep all
the time that they were home or be up in
their room. And Chelsea said to me, she said, you know,
you want them to spend every waking minute with you
(01:28:33):
to make up time for them not being there. But
you understand it's their comfort of them being under your
roof that we gave them as parents when they were younger.
That just having them, just having them in our home
is great. And I hate to say this, Anna, she
was right. And I saw that in the kids, in
your mom and sisters and you know, Dad and everybody.
(01:28:54):
When you come home and honestly sleep on the couch,
I think it's beautiful because that's just means all to us.
Speaker 44 (01:29:00):
So we may come home and hope the refrigerator and
be like, yeah, eating your food, I'm like, oh my god,
this makes my heart so happy.
Speaker 20 (01:29:06):
So it's not the big.
Speaker 44 (01:29:07):
Things like big dinners or scheduled event, it's those yours.
Speaker 20 (01:29:11):
Or they come to your your come to your room
and they come fighting, and you're like.
Speaker 2 (01:29:14):
Oh my god, this is what is your room still
in their house? Like do you still have a room decorator?
Speaker 29 (01:29:17):
Now?
Speaker 2 (01:29:19):
They what do they do with your room when you
were well.
Speaker 7 (01:29:22):
My grandparents just moved in, so oh yeah's got sort.
Speaker 2 (01:29:25):
Of room modeled. Okay, yeah, I uh.
Speaker 5 (01:29:28):
By the way, you really want to get your parents
not to be happy about you coming home, do exactly
what you're saying. Start shopping from their fridge. I know
you've done this.
Speaker 7 (01:29:36):
Yeah, I need more stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
To Miranda, what'd you want to say to Anna Rob.
Speaker 36 (01:29:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 39 (01:29:42):
Hi, I was listening in to one of the callers saying, Oh,
it shouldn't be a big deal to make the fifteen
twenty minute drive, even if it's only a ten minute stay.
But that's the whole point is we have busy lives.
Sometimes we don't have that time to take out of
our day and make the drive. And I don't think
she should be made to feel.
Speaker 12 (01:29:57):
Bad that she has a busy life.
Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
Family is a.
Speaker 39 (01:30:00):
Important, yes, but that's she's seeking advice so that I
just didn't like that, and I just wanted to tell her,
don't feel bad. You will figure it out eventually, and
you're doing a good job with whatever time you're taking.
Speaker 2 (01:30:12):
Have you ever hosted family dinner at your place?
Speaker 7 (01:30:14):
No, I have a very small apartment, but shoot, maybe I.
Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
Will because that would actually be wonderful.
Speaker 5 (01:30:20):
Like I I've been to Joe's apartment, Jacob, I've been
to his, but he's got like a lot of little
figurines all over the place and it's kind of wild
to me, But it would be wild to like, have
you say, Hey, what do you guys think about coming here?
And honestly, even like yeah, order herring, because I do
think as a parent, I'm coming from a parent's perspective
(01:30:42):
in this one. As a parent, there's nothing more prideful
than seeing your kids doing good things, and honestly, that's
all you want, Like our job as parents is to
raise little birdies and let them fly.
Speaker 2 (01:30:54):
I'm being serious, and.
Speaker 6 (01:30:56):
I know they're so proud of everything that I'm doing
right now, and I think that's why they're They're not
explicitly saying like why aren't you coming home?
Speaker 7 (01:31:04):
But I can just feel it.
Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
Yeah, I think it's funny.
Speaker 5 (01:31:09):
I never really thought about how long my drive is
to work until she said it's an hour, And actually
I live not that far from for the snow, it's
not a bitch.
Speaker 2 (01:31:20):
If I can do it every day, I'll give you
a ride to your parents' house. I'll pick you up
the next morning. That's like a long drive.
Speaker 5 (01:31:26):
It is a long drive though, when you think about it,
an hour, Like like I was thinking about East Lansing.
As close as East Lancing is for me to go to,
you know, visit Luke, it's still an hour ten twenty
you know what I mean, almost day. It's a commitment,
you know, and then then you're got it at least
be there for a little bit of time that it's
a commitment.
Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
Yeah, you're right, absolutely right. So if Anna Rob's family
wants to invite me over for Sunday dinner.
Speaker 7 (01:31:54):
I love you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
If you're listening, I think it's sweet.
Speaker 5 (01:31:57):
I think it's good that you mentioned this too on
the air, because I think they had Honestly time you
guys have your little family affair and stuff like that
with each other. I think it's a good opportunity for
you guys to maybe pull out the calendar, like Shannon said,
and schedule some stuff together.
Speaker 7 (01:32:09):
Dates down one and.
Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
Done on the dating game, Why no second date?
Speaker 4 (01:32:13):
Second date? Update happens at Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 5 (01:32:17):
All right, it's Mojo in the morning. So Bianca says
her friends are getting on her about something. What's up.
Speaker 34 (01:32:22):
Yeah, So yesterday I went on like a little coffee
date with this guy I'm talking to and we just
went to Starbucks.
Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
We just got two coffees.
Speaker 34 (01:32:31):
It was pretty chill, and I offered to pay for it,
and I did pay for it because I feel like
small things like that is okay to pay for.
Speaker 3 (01:32:38):
Yeah, but I told my friends about this situation. I
was like, Yeah, I bought his coffee. They're like, you
bought them coffee. You paid for it, And I don't
think it's that big of a deal.
Speaker 8 (01:32:46):
Wait, I'm confused with it. Yes yet, but they think
that he should pay for everything all the time.
Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
Yes, I don't.
Speaker 34 (01:32:57):
Yes, being a guy, they think that he should pay
for it, especially being keldy, and I guess it's part
of the culture of men pay for everything. But I
don't think it's a big deal, especially for small things
like this.
Speaker 5 (01:33:07):
Describe. Okay, just give me a paint a picture for me.
You guys go get coffee where you're at Starbucks?
Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
And I was like, I'll pay for it. I'll get
this one.
Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
And what did he say?
Speaker 3 (01:33:16):
He said, okay, sure, because I also got to use
my Starbucks points.
Speaker 9 (01:33:19):
There's the problem, all right, wait, there is a problem
with this scenario.
Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
No, no, no, there is a problem.
Speaker 5 (01:33:25):
The problem is at least make the attempt, like at
least as at least make the attempt. But no, no, no,
no no, And then you go, no, I want to
get this one.
Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
Well no, he said, should I? Should I pull my
card out? And I was like, no, it's okay, I'll
just scan my app it's fine.
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Should I? So hey, let's story this deeper.
Speaker 1 (01:33:41):
So you had the bearista, y'all, get y'all little VMT, y'all,
y'all drinking, y'all drinking, And then he looks at you
his sa should I pull.
Speaker 2 (01:33:48):
My card up?
Speaker 24 (01:33:50):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:33:51):
Yeah, that's a problem. That's a problem. But no, no, no,
no no, it wouldn't be an issue if you said
I got this one. Well I did say that.
Speaker 3 (01:34:00):
He's like, you don't want me to pull my card out?
Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
No, okay, so you spoke up first.
Speaker 34 (01:34:03):
Okay, you don't think I should get my card out? No,
I got it, which I don't think is an issue.
He drives us around everywhere, like when we go on
other dates and stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:34:10):
He pays for things.
Speaker 9 (01:34:11):
This is very normal everywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:34:13):
I don't think it's that big of a dea.
Speaker 5 (01:34:14):
And for those who don't know how old Bianca is,
Bianca is twenty two years old.
Speaker 3 (01:34:18):
Yes, I'll be twenty three next month.
Speaker 2 (01:34:20):
And he is twelve. Yeah, okay, he's nineteen.
Speaker 3 (01:34:28):
Yeah, okay, but he acts like he's twenty five.
Speaker 5 (01:34:31):
I don't think that it's a bad thing that you paid,
but I think it is one of those things where
I think, just make an attempt and try.
Speaker 8 (01:34:39):
I don't even think that I would actually start to
get offended if you were not going to let me
pay for anything.
Speaker 34 (01:34:46):
Ever, Yeah, and it's still so fresh, and especially we're
not like officially.
Speaker 3 (01:34:50):
Dating or whatever. I don't think. I don't think a
man needs to pay for everything.
Speaker 8 (01:34:54):
I maintained fifty good guys should pay for first date.
It's just I'm old fashioned that way. I do think
guys to pay for first day.
Speaker 34 (01:35:01):
After that, yeah, first day he did for your first
day Imagine theaters and he paid for the tickets he did.
Speaker 7 (01:35:06):
Okay, sure you use your Imagine pass.
Speaker 2 (01:35:08):
Did he give you popcorn?
Speaker 29 (01:35:11):
No?
Speaker 32 (01:35:12):
Did?
Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
We did buy porn? We didn't eat it though, but
what we did buy it?
Speaker 18 (01:35:15):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
What'd you do? I don't think we got terrists. We
don't want to eat it all right? Eight four tour
Mojo live A four four six six five six by
four A tax nine five five zero zero. What do
you think, Lydia? I want to know what your opinion
is of this.
Speaker 34 (01:35:30):
I don't think it's a big deal. I think the
first couple of times it can be like fifty to fifty.
But once it gets to a certain point that it
seems like you guys are at he should be paying
for everything, really, see, I think as you get more
progressed in the relationship, it's more fifty to fifty.
Speaker 8 (01:35:46):
That's how I think.
Speaker 3 (01:35:47):
I don't think a man should be paying for everything.
Speaker 2 (01:35:49):
No, I think I think when you're in a relationship, honestly,
he should pay.
Speaker 1 (01:35:53):
Really really, I think as a guy, you want to
pay for everything, and you should, you know, make the
attempt to pay first.
Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
But if your girl want to treat you every night,
and it's not the end of way. I don't.
Speaker 8 (01:36:04):
I go back and forth all the time, and we
don't share the majority of our finances, and we go
back and forth.
Speaker 2 (01:36:10):
I think though that you guys are married, and I know,
but she used the family card or whatever.
Speaker 8 (01:36:14):
But we That's what I'm saying, we don't because that
is only for household expenses like the mortgage and the
dt e BO.
Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
See.
Speaker 5 (01:36:22):
I would And in that case, if I was this
was me and Chelsea, I would make her pay for
the expensive meals And who pays for them?
Speaker 2 (01:36:31):
Who do you think pays more?
Speaker 12 (01:36:32):
You or him?
Speaker 21 (01:36:35):
Me?
Speaker 8 (01:36:36):
Me, me, yeah, just because I'm sneaky, because I'm sneaky
in all corner, you know, a waiter. If we're out,
when I have to tend to go to the bathroom,
you have to slip your card like you're out with
other people when you're then it becomes like a I'll pay,
y'all you paid that, and I'll pay, And I'm like.
Speaker 9 (01:36:54):
No, I'm just to pay.
Speaker 1 (01:36:58):
When it got to those situations because when you are,
you know, dating a boss, ass bitch or somebody that
like also wants to pay for certain things, sometimes the
way the bill will come and there may be a
little argument every now and then. One of the things
I used to do. He used to do rock paper scissors.
That makes it fun, That makes it less pressure on
either party. Do a little game and make it work.
Speaker 3 (01:37:19):
Like that, that's good.
Speaker 34 (01:37:20):
I feel like if we ever went on to like
a formal dart, we haven't done that yet, I would
expect him to pay for it.
Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
What if I look over at the table of a
grown ass man and grown ass woman and they're playing
rock paper scissors, that's.
Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
Fine, fighting for the bell and we're doing rock paper
sciitors in the bed that night too.
Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
Is that for a position of justin? What's up? Justin?
Hey's it going good? What do you think about this?
Speaker 13 (01:37:49):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:37:49):
I think it's okay for either order to pay. But
I mean maybe the first time, kind of like what
Shannon was saying that the guy.
Speaker 40 (01:37:55):
Should but like I just went on a date the
other day less Friday, and you know, I offered to pay,
but she kind of fought with.
Speaker 4 (01:38:02):
Me a little bit, and I was like, let me
just pay the first time, And you know, I guess.
Speaker 2 (01:38:07):
It's okay for or justin? Big question who buys the condoms.
I think I'm gonna take care of that. You're gonna
take care of that one. That's actually the more expensive
part of the whole thing, depending on where you're eating. So, uh,
what's up, Kirston.
Speaker 20 (01:38:24):
Hi, Hey guys, good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:38:27):
Good morning morning. What's going on?
Speaker 14 (01:38:29):
Hey?
Speaker 20 (01:38:30):
I just have a comment, just you know, it's fine
to pay for stuff. I have a friend, like my
best friend took her a while to get a man,
but wow, wow, she is just so independent.
Speaker 33 (01:38:45):
She called me one day to be like yo, like.
Speaker 38 (01:38:47):
She's fighting with him, she arguing with him. She's like,
I told him I had the groceries and I don't
need his dang help. But I'm like, girl, you gotta
let him bring in the groceries with you, Like you
don't have to do everything yourself.
Speaker 11 (01:38:57):
It's okay.
Speaker 20 (01:38:59):
But it's like you know, you guys with the split,
the love split, the love it's fine.
Speaker 2 (01:39:02):
Fine.
Speaker 5 (01:39:03):
I will say I will say this that I think
in relationships, you know, you go out to meals and
stuff like that. If you're the if you as a
woman are constantly making meals at home and stuff like that,
I think he should pay for some of the groceries,
like I really do think that he should unless he's
paying for everything when you guys are going out and
this is your way to replenish, you know everything there
(01:39:24):
I you know, I don't know. I'm still old school
with this whole thing. To me, I'm old school. And
the fact that it's coffee, like that's the you know.
Speaker 3 (01:39:33):
Exactly, it's so small right in.
Speaker 5 (01:39:35):
Okay, that is actually a good thing. Yeah, let you
just take the coffee. That's good. But the next go around,
if you are pulling your card out, don't pull your
card out for the next.
Speaker 7 (01:39:45):
Okay, I won't.
Speaker 34 (01:39:46):
But I'm saying, like he drives me around everywhere he
paid for Like we got Chick fil A and he
paid for that. Like I don't know, Okay, if we
go out to a formal dinner like restaurant, kill.
Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
Y'all, please, all these cheap ass dates, can y'all go
somewhere but they're twenty two, we're not.
Speaker 1 (01:40:01):
Come on, they can go somewhere Chick fil A, Starbucks,
they can imagine. They can go somewhere in the Chick
fil A or you guys in your.
Speaker 3 (01:40:08):
Car because he drives a Tesla so he doesn't want
to mess up the Tesla.
Speaker 2 (01:40:11):
You know he's got but he's not paying for gas.
He can't make you drive through. No, his car is
messy when.
Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
She as his cars were actually really nice, so I'm
not going to mess that up.
Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
What's up Cody?
Speaker 13 (01:40:29):
Hey?
Speaker 15 (01:40:29):
Guys?
Speaker 2 (01:40:30):
Yeah, I usually pay for all the stuff out with
the lady and everything.
Speaker 4 (01:40:35):
But what Shannon does I do the same thing?
Speaker 13 (01:40:38):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:40:39):
You know, I sneak the card to the server. But
then I got burned with a thousand dollars bill in
Traverse City.
Speaker 2 (01:40:43):
Oh my god, what helped you guys?
Speaker 29 (01:40:45):
Go?
Speaker 4 (01:40:46):
Yeah? So very what a tasting room?
Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
I guess whoever it was not know as expensive as
it was. Did you get anything out of that?
Speaker 4 (01:40:54):
Or no?
Speaker 2 (01:40:55):
No bottle of wine or bastard, that's an expensive date?
There a thousand bucks? My goodness. What's up? Brandon?
Speaker 22 (01:41:07):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (01:41:09):
Hi?
Speaker 12 (01:41:09):
How are you a first time?
Speaker 11 (01:41:10):
Long time?
Speaker 23 (01:41:12):
Boot?
Speaker 11 (01:41:15):
So the first thing I wanted to say is the
fact that I've been listening to you guys for so
long that somebody on the show is dating a nineteen.
Speaker 4 (01:41:21):
Year old and makes you feel old.
Speaker 3 (01:41:25):
I'm shocked too.
Speaker 12 (01:41:28):
But the second part of.
Speaker 11 (01:41:30):
My comment is I'm very old school in my dating,
so I feel like it's my responsibility to take care
of everything. But if a woman is offering to pay
for something, like I don't care if it's a coffee
or if we're doing like an event and let's just
say we go to the zoo or something like that,
and she's like, oh, well, let me get lunch because
you paid for that, Like I'm spoiling that woman for life,
(01:41:51):
because she's showing me that she's just as invested as
I am.
Speaker 3 (01:41:55):
Yeah, so would you let her pay?
Speaker 4 (01:41:56):
Though?
Speaker 40 (01:41:56):
If she's offering, I would fight around it a little bit,
like I'll I'll pull on that receipt a little bit,
but depending on the amount, Like I don't want her
to be paying like a hundred bucks or something like that.
Speaker 11 (01:42:08):
But if it's like ten, fifteen, twenty bucks, whatever, all right, cool,
no problem.
Speaker 12 (01:42:12):
But I'm not gonna take.
Speaker 4 (01:42:14):
It, you know, just laying down or whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:42:15):
And what if that's her way of showing love and affection,
then you're not allowing her to express herself in a
way she wants to show love, which ain't work.
Speaker 36 (01:42:24):
So I'm okay with that.
Speaker 12 (01:42:26):
Like as you like, but as you progress, like you
guys were saying.
Speaker 11 (01:42:29):
Like as you progress, the deeper, you get into things
like I'm I'm easing up on that right because we've
learned each other. We've talked about a lot, we've had
that conversation, so like, I know, I've learned her way
to express Like, if that's what she wants to do,
if she wants to treat me outstanding, that's perfectly fine,
because I'm I'm cool with that, Like that's that's okay.
(01:42:50):
Early on, I am very old school. But as things
progress and as you put in that time and you
have those conversations, you know, if if I have a
woman that wants to spoil me because I treat her
very well outstanding, like you've hit the lotto.
Speaker 2 (01:43:03):
Man, there you go, Well, good man, what if what
if she uses the opportunity to maybe buy you something
or to do something for you nice, like to give you,
you know, to say, hey, I want to you know,
I want to give you something for being so generous
with me, like uses that opportunity. I think, like like
I think, I I look at it as like when
Chelse and I first got together, I had no money.
(01:43:24):
She made more money than I did, and I always
tried to pay and if I didn't have money, to
go out and pay. We didn't go out because I
didn't want to be stuck with, hey, you're paying for this,
I feel you.
Speaker 1 (01:43:34):
That's been a very uncomfortable position for me to be
in in certain relationships where prior to having someone who
bought me something or was the first one to pull
out a car, that was very uncomfortable because that's not
how I was raised, for one, and that was never
anything that another woman did prior to that person, So
it was very uncomfortable for that switch to be like,
(01:43:55):
wait a second, this is this is okay, or this
is somebody that does love differently than I've ever been loved.
Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
It's an adjustment, Pierce.
Speaker 8 (01:44:02):
That's so interesting to hear because to me, it's like
I am successful and I've worked hard to be successful,
and I'm so proud that I am able to put
my card in and do this. It's like a not
even like a flex, but it's it's important for me
to be able to do that, and I'm grateful that
I'm able to do that.
Speaker 2 (01:44:20):
And I think that that's good.
Speaker 1 (01:44:21):
But I think as a guy, I think that you
you have to have that conversation too, because I think
there are these social and societal constructs that make you
feel like you're not a.
Speaker 8 (01:44:30):
Man if you're not paying right, And it is so
interesting to me when I am the one that pays
and the waiter or waitress comes and brings the bill
back and puts it in front of west.
Speaker 2 (01:44:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:44:41):
Times Like in.
Speaker 34 (01:44:42):
The past, I've had guys that would like I would
drive around, they'd pay my gas. Some guy bought me
shoes like all things like that. Before I was like, yes,
I deserve that, but I feel like with him, I
don't really need that. Like I don't even care if
he made money or not. I don't really care. I
think it's the connection we have.
Speaker 2 (01:44:57):
Is like a sugar daddy type thing when they're paying
for all that tame.
Speaker 5 (01:45:00):
No do I feel like a sugar No, No, I'm
saying when the guy does that, Like if a guy's
buying you shoes and buying you things like that, I
feel like that's kind of weird.
Speaker 34 (01:45:08):
I feel like it's nice in the moment, but it
doesn't really mean anything. I feel like the connection that
me and this kid a bill is way better than
any monetary value ever.
Speaker 2 (01:45:17):
Is I think he could be chick filate is what
kind of coffee. Does he order? Is it expensive one?
Speaker 3 (01:45:23):
Or sugar cookie from Starbucks?
Speaker 2 (01:45:27):
What size? Grand?
Speaker 5 (01:45:31):
I think it's a trente If I know this funny
way you know you don't care if I know somebody
is paying. Honestly, I always order a size I'd never
would order or small, smaller size.
Speaker 2 (01:45:48):
Because I don't want you.
Speaker 9 (01:45:50):
And by the way you you then order everybody the
biggest size.
Speaker 5 (01:45:53):
Through it all right, Mojo in the morning's breaking entering.
Christmas wish is back. We're granting wishes this holiday. C
go to Mojo's wish dot org and send us a
letter and make sure that you give us some details
about the family, especially if it's your family that needs
help during the holidays. Mojo's wish dot org Lydia, we're
gonna pop this in. We did, I think just before
(01:46:16):
nine o'clock for the Thanksgiving or right around that time
on Friday. I'm gonna make them wait till the end
of the show. We're gonna wait till about ten o'clock
to let you get into our Thanksgiving celebration that we're
going to have our Giving thanks to our listeners celebration
brought to you by Kroger and Rochester Banquets.
Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 15 (01:46:38):
We're commercial free Mojo in the Morning and Caitlin is
on with us. She's getting ghosted right now. Caitlin, how
did you guys meet?
Speaker 16 (01:46:51):
We're not at a bar?
Speaker 2 (01:46:53):
Okay, went out on a date.
Speaker 5 (01:46:54):
Do you think there's anything that you guys did on
this date, or maybe you specifically did on this date
that potentially could be the reason why he's not calling
you back.
Speaker 16 (01:47:05):
I mean I guess, like my friends were there, but
like because I told him I was going there.
Speaker 8 (01:47:11):
But that's like your friends hung.
Speaker 16 (01:47:13):
Out on the date, So no, no, no, they just
like I just let them know I was like going there.
Speaker 9 (01:47:18):
Okay, did he know that your friends were there?
Speaker 16 (01:47:22):
I mean at the end, I guess, but like I
still am, like, just don't know. It was really a
good date.
Speaker 2 (01:47:29):
And then let's not Let's talk to Alex here. Say
hi to Alex. Caitlin, Hi Alex, Hello, Hey Alex.
Speaker 5 (01:47:39):
What's happening? Uh Caitlin was wondering what's happening with you guys?
And will there ever be another date? Will there be
a second date?
Speaker 29 (01:47:49):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:47:49):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 22 (01:47:50):
And uh yeah, She's right. I thought it was weird
that her friends showed up to our date.
Speaker 2 (01:47:58):
So explain to me the friend friends thing, because of
her friends were just hanging out at the bar or
came to the bar where you guys were.
Speaker 22 (01:48:07):
Yeah, it was like they were like spying on us
or something very weird, Kaitlyn.
Speaker 2 (01:48:11):
Were they just there and.
Speaker 16 (01:48:13):
It just happened to be I was letting them know
where I was headed, you know, like girl code, like
I'm meeting a guy at a.
Speaker 2 (01:48:19):
Bar, and so so they came specifically to watch you
guys on your date.
Speaker 16 (01:48:26):
Well, I mean they're just like there in case, like
in the background, you know.
Speaker 9 (01:48:30):
So could you see them from where you guys were?
Speaker 8 (01:48:32):
Did you interact with them or you knew them?
Speaker 16 (01:48:36):
They just knew that I was there, and what interact
with them?
Speaker 2 (01:48:39):
How did you know they were her friends?
Speaker 45 (01:48:43):
Because they kept looking over at us, and like she
was looking at them. They were like taking pictures.
Speaker 4 (01:48:49):
It was weird.
Speaker 2 (01:48:51):
At what part of the date did you guys say
these are her friends or she say that those are friends?
Speaker 22 (01:48:59):
Yeah, because she actually they weren't for a little which
was I think is even weirder.
Speaker 2 (01:49:02):
She like admitted it later on, so it made me
feel like I was crazy.
Speaker 5 (01:49:07):
So uh yes, So for a good portion of the day,
you guys are out doing your thing. You guys are
sitting together, what, having drinks and something to eat or
something m and then you started noticing that there's another
table full of girls that were paying attention to you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:49:26):
And then what happened? Did you finally say who are they?
Or did she say those are my friends? Yeah? I
was like, do you know those people?
Speaker 22 (01:49:34):
And she was acting like she didn't for a little bit,
which I think is the weirdest part of it. And
then they just kept She was like text messaging a
little which is also weird when you're on a date
with somebody. I saw them on their phone. It looked
like it felt like they were like TMZ or something.
Speaker 2 (01:49:50):
It was weird. The paparazzi. Why didn't you just.
Speaker 31 (01:49:57):
Like, I don't know.
Speaker 16 (01:49:58):
It was just one of those things where like I
and meeting, I got a bar just protecting yourself.
Speaker 5 (01:50:02):
You know, any have any of you guys ever gone
out on a date and told your friends and your
friends showed up at the same place.
Speaker 9 (01:50:09):
Not me, I don't think so that.
Speaker 7 (01:50:10):
Showed up, But I've told them.
Speaker 6 (01:50:13):
I just know they're on standby, Like if I text
you to come here, get over here now?
Speaker 2 (01:50:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:50:19):
Is it?
Speaker 5 (01:50:20):
Is it weird that her friends Caitlin's friends actually went
and were sitting there watching them?
Speaker 9 (01:50:25):
I think so make me uncomfortable. If I enjoyed the date,
it wouldn't matter though, but.
Speaker 2 (01:50:33):
But yeah, this didn't seem like he enjoyed it. Uh,
what's up?
Speaker 46 (01:50:36):
Maybe they like lingered a little too long, but I
mean again, like it wasn't such a deal and he
would have met Amanda, what's up?
Speaker 28 (01:50:45):
Good morning?
Speaker 26 (01:50:47):
I feel like if her friends stowed up without her
knowledge and like without her saying like, hey, I want
you guys there, I feel like that's a boundary issue
with her and her friends, And like I don't really
blame him for being annoyed with that, because like if
they don't know the boundaries of like let me have me,
like let me go on this state and have my space,
then like.
Speaker 25 (01:51:07):
What other boundaries are her friends gonna cross?
Speaker 5 (01:51:09):
Caitlin, did they do this without you knowing about it?
Or you knew about it that they were coming?
Speaker 23 (01:51:15):
I mean I knew, I mean I knew that they
were gonna come but in your mind, well, well, did
you have the conversation like, yeah, come but once I
feel comfortable enough, like you can leave, or did you
tell them I want you to stay the whole time
just in case, Like what was your conversation with them?
Speaker 16 (01:51:35):
So like it was one of those things where I
was like, Hey, I'm gonna go tokay at the bar
and they were like, is you gonna be safe? And
I was like yeah, for sure, and we're gonna come
and I was like okay, and I was like great,
But like you know, it was like one of those
things where just like, you guys stay over there.
Speaker 2 (01:51:49):
And I'm gonna be on the state, Amanda, what do
you think?
Speaker 39 (01:51:52):
I don't know.
Speaker 26 (01:51:52):
I feel like if you said to your friends, like
you guys stay over there and I'm gonna be on
the state, and then it became like an issue after
you told them like we're going to be doing this
like a separate thing, then I still feel like it's
like a boundary issue and they still up like respected,
like that you said that you were going to be
doing your thing and they were going to be doing
their things. I think like we see this a lot
(01:52:14):
in like, you know, movies, and it's like a joke
where it's like, oh, my friends are gonna sit, you know,
at the other booths with like a newspaper and pretend
that they're yeah, you know, like just casually there.
Speaker 20 (01:52:23):
Like fine, but it is.
Speaker 26 (01:52:24):
Kind of like weird. I think it's one thing to
be like, hey, I'm going to this bar, like I
think Anna was saying, like, you know, just for safety reasons,
but for them to like actually be sitting there, I
don't know.
Speaker 33 (01:52:37):
I feel like I'm a little a little.
Speaker 5 (01:52:38):
Much and so OUs, so obvious that they are there,
because she obviously tipped off Alex into knowing that she
was there.
Speaker 2 (01:52:46):
Jason wants to make a comment, what's up, Jason, Hey,
what's up?
Speaker 12 (01:52:50):
I feel like this is like you just pretty much
invited your parents to date.
Speaker 8 (01:52:57):
Yeah, oh my gosh, that.
Speaker 16 (01:52:58):
Is so ridiculous. It's just you don't understand what it's
like to be like a woman meeting a person out
there in the world.
Speaker 11 (01:53:07):
It's called live your life public.
Speaker 16 (01:53:10):
It is out here.
Speaker 12 (01:53:12):
You go out in the universe and you live your life.
Speaker 38 (01:53:15):
You don't got to be scared about everything.
Speaker 5 (01:53:16):
Well, I do think there is a difference between like
Anna said, hey, be on the lookout for my maybe
my location, and having them show up watching you guys.
Speaker 8 (01:53:26):
The entire time, or even show up go to another
part of the bar, pretend you don't know me.
Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
Yeah, what's up, Bridget.
Speaker 25 (01:53:36):
Yeah, I was just calling to agree with Amanda, like,
your friends absolutely drop the ball there and we're completely conspicuous.
Speaker 20 (01:53:44):
Have you never seen any spy movies?
Speaker 2 (01:53:46):
Like?
Speaker 20 (01:53:46):
What is the problem being so obvious?
Speaker 2 (01:53:49):
They knows? Jamie, what did you want to say?
Speaker 36 (01:53:56):
I wanted to say that you need to stop blaming
the friends and you need to take accountability for yourself.
If you saw your friends there and it was gonna,
you know, intrude on the date, you get up, you
tell your friends to kind of go away, and you know,
be an adult about it.
Speaker 8 (01:54:11):
You seem like you're kind of just whining.
Speaker 28 (01:54:14):
It is whining.
Speaker 16 (01:54:15):
Oh my gosh, they were I don't need to tell
them to leave. They were fine. I think he's just overreacting.
Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
What's going on? Democrats? What's up? Okay?
Speaker 12 (01:54:26):
Mojo?
Speaker 2 (01:54:27):
What's up? Buddy?
Speaker 12 (01:54:28):
The first time?
Speaker 18 (01:54:29):
But alone time.
Speaker 34 (01:54:33):
Talk?
Speaker 47 (01:54:34):
Uh, it's just our friends being there, that's not a problem.
But taking pictures and stuff, that's that's weird.
Speaker 2 (01:54:42):
Yeah, and Alan and Alex, do you think this is
a big thing? And I don't know, if you'll be
honest and saying this, do you think if the friends
weren't there and they weren't taking pictures, would you have
been interested more in Caitlin or were you just not interested? Also,
I think, I.
Speaker 48 (01:55:02):
Mean, it's hard to know based off of the fact
that I didn't experience that, but not Yeah, I think that.
Speaker 22 (01:55:08):
It is possible that I would have definitely would the
date more if her friends weren't watching us like we were.
Speaker 9 (01:55:15):
I'm trying to think of it if she was on
the other foot.
Speaker 8 (01:55:17):
Like if I was out and the guy that I
was sitting across from had all of his buddies and
I knew that, I feel like I would act differently. No,
but I feel like I would act differently because I
would know I was being watched, so I wouldn't be
able to fully even be myself, which would be in
turn unfair to my date.
Speaker 2 (01:55:34):
So I think, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:55:37):
There's a level of this could be played off like
it's cute, right, and it's a level of it could
be played off like it's creepy, and in this case,
it came across to Alex like it was creepy, and
probably to the rest of us that it was too.
Speaker 2 (01:55:49):
But listen, I don't think he's into it. If I
was really into a girl, if I.
Speaker 5 (01:55:53):
Went out with a girl and she was as cav
says fire and I know, or cold, I would be like,
you could bring her mother, her aunts, you know, you
could bring her parole officer probably be int her.
Speaker 2 (01:56:07):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:56:08):
This is the home of a Dirty on the thirty
f back fro down on a second Date, update.
Speaker 2 (01:56:12):
And more of the roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

nice things. I don't get her reaching.
Speaker 2 (01:57:05):
Out to me. Okay, just because she shows me love
doesn't mean she doesn't.
Speaker 5 (01:57:09):
They all love you, Okay, they all love you, Tanya,
Tanya Lalan Summit Place, Kia. And we're also doing something
cool with j C Penny. J C Penny put together

(01:57:29):
j C Penny for their jingle Ball collection of clothes
for for young women and uh and.
Speaker 9 (01:57:36):
Women and girls.
Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (01:57:38):
No, guys, that's awesome. I have a new I have
one for for the guys. Uh, but ours is uh.
You basically are going to go get a bunch of
Champion sweatshirts and so I talk to the folks at
Grayson ingle Ball going tonight. I'm going tonight to an
event with with those guys tonight actually talked to him
(01:57:59):
about that, and they say, Hey, what you got for me?
What're you gonna show off for me? All right, We're
gonna do the dirty Well.
Speaker 4 (01:58:07):
Chour in the mornings, Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 2 (01:58:09):
All right, Shannon, what's you got in this hour is
dirty on this well?
Speaker 8 (01:58:11):
You mentioned this to the Hunters girls when you were
talking to them. But the Grammy nominations happened over the weekend,
with Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar leading the way with
nine nams eachs both up for Album of the Year
with Lamar's record GNX Gaga's Mayhem. By the way, each
of them has been nominated for that category five different
(01:58:32):
times have number won that Bunny Sabrina Carpenter early on
Thomas All tied for the second most nominations with six ps.
Speaker 23 (01:58:40):
No.
Speaker 8 (01:58:41):
Taylor Swift was not snubbed this year for the record,
she just didn't release any music during the eligibility period.
She'll be competing in next year's category. But the Grammy's
going down on Sunday, February first in La. So the
story that I heard is that Diddy was busted drinking
homemade alcohol by the guards at the Federal Correctional Institute.
(01:59:03):
He's locked up in at Fort Dixon.
Speaker 2 (01:59:04):
New Jersey.
Speaker 8 (01:59:06):
You know what it is. It's Fanta sugar and apples,
and the inmates let it like sit for two weeks
for men.
Speaker 9 (01:59:16):
And I guess yeah, he got a slap on the risk.
Speaker 8 (01:59:19):
They were gonna they were going to move him to
a different jail cell following this incident, decided to leave
him where he is now. His family says this is
not true. They are denying the story. They tweeted on
his official X account. The rumors claiming mister Combs was
caught with alcohol are completely false. His only focus is
becoming the best version of himself.
Speaker 5 (01:59:42):
By the way, I have not had saq in a
long time, like's. It used to be my favorite. I
used to love all the different flavored I love.
Speaker 30 (01:59:51):
I.
Speaker 5 (01:59:52):
I kind of got away from vodka and I tried
vodka over the weekend and it doesn't give me a buzz.
I don't know who the story is, Lawrence. It wasn't
that strong enough for me. And then I tried I
tried some some tequila over the weekend. I tried this
ocho tequila. Yeah, I ain't gonna lie to yet. It
tastes like crap.
Speaker 15 (02:00:11):
Really Yeah, Chelsea loves tequila. She drinks tons of tequila,
loves ocho.
Speaker 8 (02:00:15):
Okay, I don't to me, not a tequila person either,
unless it's in a spicy Mark tequila, then I'll drink it,
but not on the rock else.
Speaker 2 (02:00:24):
She was trying to get me.
Speaker 5 (02:00:24):
She's like, drink a little tequila with a soda water,
an orange and some tahina on the rim.
Speaker 2 (02:00:30):
I tasted it. I was like, like one of those
things nasty I love.
Speaker 8 (02:00:36):
I did my pineapple chunks and tea spicy Gal. Jennifer
Lawrence calling out Courtney Kardashian. She did one of those
Vanity fair Lie Detector tests interviews. Robert Pattinson was doing
it with her, and she said Chloe is still her
favorite Kardashian, but she absolutely took aim at Courtney's personality
(02:00:57):
specifically on the Kardashians.
Speaker 2 (02:00:59):
This woman your favorite, Yes, it's Chloe. Courtney is more
annoying than ever.
Speaker 8 (02:01:05):
Why she drives me nuts because everything has to be
an announcement.
Speaker 14 (02:01:11):
It's like, you know, I'm not gonna wear outfits anymore,
like just wear whatever you want, don't make an announcement
about it, or like, I know I'll have a TV
in my room, Like, just don't watch TV.
Speaker 8 (02:01:19):
Stop announcing it.
Speaker 7 (02:01:28):
Yeah the season.
Speaker 8 (02:01:30):
Yeah, I like Robert Pattinson too, Me too. Speaking of
the Kardashian, Kim Kardashian not a lawyer just yet. She
announced over the weekend she did not pass the California
bar exam that she took over the summer. She wrote
on her social media, well, I'm not a lawyer yet.
I just play a very well dressed one on TV.
(02:01:50):
Six years into this law journey and I'm still all
in until I passed the bar. Short no shortcuts, no
giving up, just studying an even more determination hope.
Speaker 2 (02:02:00):
And I'm sorry. Was that the last story?
Speaker 34 (02:02:02):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:02:02):
But I can go ahead.
Speaker 9 (02:02:03):
I can Okay.
Speaker 8 (02:02:04):
A Pittsburgh woman's Halloween panic turned into a happy ending.
This is a great story. This woman by the name
of Mattie Carver thought she had lost her diamond engagement
ring while handing out candy on Halloween. So it's been
how many days okay of not having her ring. She
and her husband they basically were like, okay, the only
thing that we can think of is that it slipped
(02:02:25):
off into somebody's bucket or pillowcase while she was handing
out candy.
Speaker 4 (02:02:30):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (02:02:30):
Searched everywhere, couldn't find it.
Speaker 8 (02:02:32):
Turned to social media, posted about it, asking families in
their neighborhood to please go through your kid's Halloween candy
if by chance you come across as Oh my god,
it would be a miracle. One parent saw the story,
looked through their kid's pillowcase found.
Speaker 9 (02:02:48):
The ring at the bottom of it.
Speaker 2 (02:02:49):
Oh what amazing?
Speaker 9 (02:02:50):
Isn't that took an entire community to bring this ring home?
Speaker 8 (02:02:53):
But it is home.
Speaker 4 (02:02:54):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (02:02:55):
Yeah, thank you, I got breaking news. Less what's going on?
One toe?
Speaker 26 (02:03:00):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (02:03:01):
Say they doubled the score? You see any spoiled? It's
a forty four two. All we do is we yeah,
hold on wait show in the morning. Fans, Wait, let's
grab your coffee. Unlet's do whatdy to do.
Speaker 32 (02:03:14):
When we do go forward down the fie her charging
team that will not gee the window, bou and silf away.
Speaker 2 (02:03:23):
Let's go stand in great hard, win the game with honor.
You will keep your fan down the fielding game. A lie, Kevin,
(02:03:46):
did you love Donald Trump at the game last yesterday?
Speaker 1 (02:03:49):
Would you were you excited. No, he didn't play by
playing though, come on, I was. It was a little funny.
You don't really know what to say, but it was
a little come.
Speaker 2 (02:03:58):
On, Kevin, you sound tight. I thought you were the
hype man. This is the mo Joe in the morning show.
This is the flipping off the TV. No, no, no,
I was looking show looking man.
Speaker 5 (02:04:11):
I by the way, I didn't realize it was the
first time that a sitting president had been to a
game since the Jimmy Carter Day.
Speaker 9 (02:04:17):
Was not a super.
Speaker 2 (02:04:20):
Yeah, that's pretty incredible. That's how is it that presidents
don't go? If I was president, I'd go to every
game possible. I'd have the best seats in the house.
They were running the country. I don't know.
Speaker 7 (02:04:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (02:04:30):
If you miss anything from today's show, go back and
listen to the podcast on that free iHeartRadio app Dominic.
Speaker 2 (02:04:35):
What's up, Dominic?
Speaker 49 (02:04:37):
Yeah, I just wanted to talk about that jungle juice.
Speaker 12 (02:04:40):
You guys was talking.
Speaker 9 (02:04:41):
About Santa sugar apples.
Speaker 2 (02:04:43):
What is jungle.
Speaker 11 (02:04:46):
Yeah, that's the stuff in jail.
Speaker 49 (02:04:48):
I was locked up a bunch of times.
Speaker 12 (02:04:49):
You know what I'm saying. It's it's actually called hooch?
Speaker 2 (02:04:52):
Hooch? Is that what it's called? Hooch? That sounds dirty
to me? Did Did y'all make it the same way
that didy people? Maybe allegedly?
Speaker 18 (02:05:01):
I mean a little bit different.
Speaker 40 (02:05:02):
You know, you take your fruits and everything, and.
Speaker 49 (02:05:04):
You take like you can take kool aid and water
and stuff, and then you just put it in a
bag and you tie it up, and then you got
to put it in the toilet and you got to
hide it from the you know, the stops.
Speaker 2 (02:05:15):
You know what I'm saying. So this is wild. So
this is a thing. Huh? You make your own hooch?
Speaker 9 (02:05:21):
Does it taste good? Or you don't care? You just
want to get a little buzz.
Speaker 12 (02:05:24):
You don't care, and it ain't a little buzz.
Speaker 4 (02:05:26):
You get tore up?
Speaker 2 (02:05:28):
Are you really?
Speaker 17 (02:05:30):
Really?
Speaker 5 (02:05:30):
And don't they notice that the next morning when you're
like sleeping it off or what's going on?
Speaker 12 (02:05:36):
Ah nah, they don't care. You just can't get caught.
Speaker 2 (02:05:39):
Now did you make it or did you just consume it?
Speaker 12 (02:05:42):
Oh?
Speaker 16 (02:05:42):
Me and the homies made it?
Speaker 2 (02:05:43):
So did you continue to make it when you got out?
Speaker 10 (02:05:47):
No?
Speaker 5 (02:05:48):
No, no, uh, Dominic, I want you to do me
a favor, Okay, I've got a little bar set up
in the studio. Hair, would you come down on a
Friday and make hooch for us and we'll all hooch
it together.
Speaker 2 (02:06:00):
They make it in a toilet bow. That's okay, classic bag.
I want to do it.
Speaker 5 (02:06:04):
We'll double flush, We'll make sure the cleaning lady takes
care of everything.
Speaker 2 (02:06:07):
Would you come down and make who with us?
Speaker 12 (02:06:11):
Yeah, we'll try to do that. I'll try to make
that happen.
Speaker 14 (02:06:14):
Uh.
Speaker 25 (02:06:14):
I work in the mornings though, so I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:06:16):
I should kind of make it like a weekend. We
have offered something. All right, let's let's connect. I'll have
Lydia connect with you. Okay, we'll do it together. Okay, Yeah,
what's up, Shannon? No, man, Diddy had a great time
last night. I'm just kind of mad that you know,
you ain't waked me up in the morning before you left.
But thank god, Mojo in the morning. So my boy
(02:06:39):
Mojo Spike to Shanny. That's how long they're waking me
up and keeping me on time. See you when you
get off with it. Yes, look at your Shannon. You
can't play that one anymore. This song is good even
though you're gone. We're still a te what's wrong with
the little little Diddy? He's in prison during this time
(02:07:00):
and we can still we can We can now say, hey,
he's doing his time, man, he's he's given back right
now his time in prison. So can we listen to
any of his music or not? Are we done? For commercial?
Commercial writers? This was a good songay.
Speaker 4 (02:07:30):
Directly for the source in the morning, He's dirty on
the Dirty. You're called.
Speaker 2 (02:07:39):
Kennedy? Are you there? Yeah, Kennedy, You're a winner, You're going.
Speaker 25 (02:07:46):
I'm I've been calling every day for the last.
Speaker 2 (02:07:49):
Two weeks, Kennedy. Who are you excited to see?
Speaker 37 (02:07:54):
Signed Down?
Speaker 2 (02:07:55):
And you know, I love that. I love to hear that.
Speaker 5 (02:07:58):
We don't normally play Shine Down, and I like that
they've kind of hit the top forty right now and
they're doing this and they're doing our jingle Ball, which
is so huge. Jingle Ball tickets available ticketmaster dot com.
Nellie's going to be there. You heard Shine Down, Big
X the plug. We've got Zara Larson, Conan Gray the
sing along with K Pop Demon Hunters. It's going to
(02:08:19):
be a lot of fun and you're going to be there. Congratulations.
Raven linee By the way A thank you Raven Linee's
got the one of the biggest songs on TikTok right
now and up for the TikTok Awards too, so she'll
be there too.
Speaker 2 (02:08:29):
Congratulations. Hang on the phone, okay, all right to Samantha.
What's up, Samantha? How you doing?
Speaker 33 (02:08:38):
Good morning?
Speaker 36 (02:08:38):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (02:08:39):
We're good. It's a Monday morning. It's cold outside. I
wasn't ready for the snow, but go ahead. What's up?
What's your call about?
Speaker 41 (02:08:46):
I was just calling to say when you make hoots,
you have to make it in like a shampoo or
a conditioner bottle, because it's easier to burp. Because once
the dough, like in the apples and stuff, ferment, it
creates a gas and if you have it in a
tied bag, it will explode and it smells horrible.
Speaker 2 (02:09:03):
Her making it. So could you come with us when
Dominic comes down and we all make coochs together?
Speaker 41 (02:09:09):
I could.
Speaker 2 (02:09:16):
Were you? Were you in jail and that's how you
made it?
Speaker 37 (02:09:19):
I was.
Speaker 38 (02:09:20):
I couldn't drink it though, because it smells horrible.
Speaker 25 (02:09:23):
It's absolutely disgusting.
Speaker 2 (02:09:24):
What were you in for?
Speaker 5 (02:09:25):
I always loved I? Could you know when I hear
guys that are in jail, in prison and stuff like that.
I just think that, you know, drugs or armed robbery
or something like that. When I hear women, all I
think of is orange is the new black, and you
guys are like sexy in there.
Speaker 20 (02:09:41):
It was nothing like that.
Speaker 25 (02:09:42):
But I will have to tell you in person.
Speaker 16 (02:09:44):
I can't tell you over the radio.
Speaker 2 (02:09:45):
Really does it become a Samantha?
Speaker 5 (02:09:50):
Does it become a thing where I just assume you
guys all have pillow fights all day in prison?
Speaker 2 (02:09:54):
Is that true?
Speaker 26 (02:09:56):
We don't have pillows.
Speaker 2 (02:09:57):
No, they don't give you pillows. What do you do?
I look at me, I know, but I'm just wondering.
Speaker 5 (02:10:05):
I didn't know you didn't have a pillow that sucked.
That's cruel and unusual punishment.
Speaker 22 (02:10:08):
They should give you a too.
Speaker 25 (02:10:10):
In that Reggedy they give you.
Speaker 2 (02:10:13):
Wow, let's talk to some women in prison. We should
call us up.
Speaker 5 (02:10:17):
Absolutely all right, Samantha, hold on, Lydia is gonna get
your information.
Speaker 2 (02:10:20):
How long ago was it? And I want to make
sure that you're not like recently out of prison, because
I don't know if I want you coming in the
studio if that's the case.
Speaker 24 (02:10:27):
Twenty eighteen.
Speaker 2 (02:10:29):
That's that's long enough. Yeah, hold on, we'll be right
back morning. Members of this show have been arrested, just
not convicted. Mojo in the Morning, Detroit, Question Rescue, Toledo,
three Grade Stations, One Stupid Show.
Speaker 5 (02:10:54):
Mojo in the Morning, Live, Joe in the Morning. When
does deer hunting end? Like, is it end anytime? Because
I know this, I think that's what I was wondering. Yeah,
I think it's kind of close. All my buddies like
are doing deer hunting. They go up north, they do
mainly stuff, don't. I don't get along with these guys
(02:11:16):
during this time of the year. I'm not manly enough
to go, doesnt. Tony seems like he'd be a hunter,
But I don't know. I think Tony likes to take
them in and not kill them. He like, take them in,
take them out.
Speaker 2 (02:11:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:11:30):
So I saw this and I thought this was damn
funny and it actually could lead to a great topic.
Here here is the topic after I tell you the story,
and it deals with people who hunt in a different
way deer. I saw a woman on the news over
the weekend that I guarantee you has bagged more buck
(02:11:52):
than any hunter has she in one day hit three
deer on ninety six with her car at three separate times.
Speaker 8 (02:12:02):
Had one day her car has to be a hunk
of metal.
Speaker 5 (02:12:06):
Her car is going over to custom Collision right now
and getting some work done on it. She hit the
first deer, which caused for damage I guess to the
right side of her vehicle because it came out of
nowhere from the right. The next deer, as she drove
further ahead, hit the left side of her car. Finally,
(02:12:27):
the last one was in state. Police had to like
help her with this. One literally flew up and landed
right on the fot of the car, causing for the radiator.
Speaker 8 (02:12:37):
I would be so heartbroken if I hit a deer
with my car deer bank. I don't even know what
I would do. Have you he almost no, No, I
don't think so. In my neighborhood, you almost every day
they are all over the place. And when I drive
the was an old orchard trail on my way in,
they just are out of nowhere, jump off the golf
(02:12:57):
course on you.
Speaker 2 (02:12:58):
She used to have like some.
Speaker 1 (02:12:59):
Real obligations because after the second year, I'm probably going home.
Speaker 2 (02:13:04):
I think she had to get I think honestly, she
was going to work one after the other.
Speaker 8 (02:13:08):
Also, I would go home after the second year because
I'd be like, God is trying to tell me something.
Stay my ass in my house.
Speaker 1 (02:13:14):
Ninety six is a mess when you face this, when
you go to Michigan still my God. Going to Michigan
State this weekend, I probably saw four deer.
Speaker 2 (02:13:21):
Yeah, on us side of the own. All right, So
here's my question.
Speaker 5 (02:13:24):
I want to ask eight four to four Mojo live
eight four four sixty sixty five sixty five four eight
or text if you can relate to this one. If
you've ever hit a dary, you'll have to tell us
hit more with my car than a hunter has shot.
I want to hear the stories from you of how
many you have you have hit with your car? You
(02:13:45):
got a deer magnet, so to speak.
Speaker 21 (02:13:48):
That is there.
Speaker 8 (02:13:49):
My dog was. I don't know if you guys saw
the video that I posted to our Instagram last week.
There was a huge buck on my front porch that
my ring camera caught overnight.
Speaker 9 (02:13:58):
Over the weekend.
Speaker 8 (02:14:00):
My dog Bow was barking, barking, barking, barking, barka. I
thought he just needed to go outside. He was barking
at my back door. There was a huge dough in
my backyard, and my backyard's fenced in.
Speaker 7 (02:14:08):
Where there's a buck, there is a dough.
Speaker 8 (02:14:10):
Someone's trying to tell me something. All the deer and
I'm like snow white at this point, or all come
into my house.
Speaker 6 (02:14:15):
In high school, my sister had hit a deer and
it was very traumatic for her. But it was during
hunting season. So we had found a father who had
recently shot a deer and we asked if we could
just have the leg of it and we put it
in my sister's car when she walked out of school
one day, so she thought it was still stuck in there.
Speaker 9 (02:14:36):
The heck is wrong with you?
Speaker 2 (02:14:37):
I know it was mean.
Speaker 7 (02:14:38):
It was mean, but it was a good prank.
Speaker 5 (02:14:40):
Wow, man, I got to tell you that I wish
I was man enough to go hunting for deer, Like
I wish.
Speaker 9 (02:14:48):
I could get do it.
Speaker 7 (02:14:49):
You should try.
Speaker 2 (02:14:49):
I don't think so. No, you know what, it's not
that I'm not man enough. I can't be quiet for
that long of a time. Oh okay.
Speaker 5 (02:14:55):
Like the idea that we're sitting in a fake fort,
I mean like you're sitting there going what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (02:15:03):
What you're doing?
Speaker 6 (02:15:04):
Very nice blinds these days, like my dad has a heat,
a little bit of champagne.
Speaker 2 (02:15:10):
I got buddies.
Speaker 5 (02:15:11):
I got buddies that do things like guy things. They
do ice fishing, which I don't get to me. That's
really to me. There's nothing worse than sitting on ice
with you know, in a tent again heated. Really, i'd
be afraid that you're going to go through the ice too.
Why do I why do I feel like that ice
is gonna crack?
Speaker 2 (02:15:33):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (02:15:33):
I think you're trying to kill me. And then the
guys who go hunting and they do that, the deer
hunting thing I would hunt, that's ridge.
Speaker 2 (02:15:42):
Yeah, I think i'd be absolutely. I think i'd be
a great shot man. That's pure Michigan.
Speaker 8 (02:15:47):
Buddy, are you a camper? You're not even a camp I.
Speaker 5 (02:15:50):
Can't camp either, Mike. Mike has been wanting me to
camp for a long time. Tony Torovado thinks we should
do a.
Speaker 2 (02:15:55):
Camping Fremit Live. That'd be fire.
Speaker 5 (02:15:57):
My idea of camping is the Hampton and compared to
stand the Hilton Marrion. If I don't use my bonvoy points,
that's my idea of camping. What's up, Taylor, are you doing?
Speaker 2 (02:16:12):
Hi?
Speaker 36 (02:16:12):
Good morning.
Speaker 18 (02:16:14):
I guess I have to say, first time long time.
Speaker 2 (02:16:18):
We got a topic that's perfect for you.
Speaker 32 (02:16:20):
What did you do?
Speaker 24 (02:16:21):
Yes?
Speaker 18 (02:16:22):
Unfortunately it is perfect for me. I moved up to
northern Michigan in like pre pandemic, right into the pandemic,
and I had a tiny little sports and not really
prepared at all, and I hit three deer in one week,
to the point where we almost bought the little deer
whistles that you put on the front of your car. Thankfully,
(02:16:45):
I don't think we killed any so I wasn't as
unlucky as the lady that you're talking about. But one
of the one time I remember the most. You're driving
down one of the back roads in Pataski and it
was like a family heard of deer and they were
all on one side and literally right as we're passing it,
(02:17:06):
so we didn't have any other option. Like three of
them just decided to cross the road right in front
of us, and we tapped them.
Speaker 33 (02:17:13):
Thankfully, they all ran off, but.
Speaker 18 (02:17:15):
We've tapped them enough that we had to stop.
Speaker 48 (02:17:16):
And check our car.
Speaker 5 (02:17:17):
Oh god, wow, I need one of those. I want
one of those whistles. I want one of those things.
I think the problem is, can you imagine nowadays with
electric cars that sound like nothing? These poor deer can't
figure out anything. I'm googling it now. This is the
first time I've ever heard of deer whistles. They say
they don't actually work.
Speaker 18 (02:17:34):
Well, you know what, when you hit that many, you
take anything, even if.
Speaker 33 (02:17:39):
Just to make you feel better.
Speaker 2 (02:17:40):
What do they call what is that spray call that
you attracts? Deer X? No, No, there's you know what
I'm talking about.
Speaker 7 (02:17:47):
It's like deer P.
Speaker 2 (02:17:49):
It's like deer P, it's like deer urine.
Speaker 18 (02:17:51):
Yeah, it's deer P.
Speaker 33 (02:17:52):
I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 5 (02:17:53):
But it's got a name to it. I'm going to
get some of that and I'm going to put it
on Kevin's on What's Up, Tammy? How you doing all right?
Speaker 33 (02:18:11):
At this point, I have deer radar.
Speaker 2 (02:18:13):
Yes you figure you know where they all are?
Speaker 33 (02:18:16):
So many times dear like that, I can pretty much
spot them. I drive to work at night and I've
had so many encounters with deer. We're like I've got
hit and they can back and hit me. And if
you honk your horn or sometimes like put your braids on.
Speaker 25 (02:18:31):
It does help.
Speaker 33 (02:18:32):
But like the color before me, dear whistles, they do work,
and to cheer them from coming by your car.
Speaker 5 (02:18:38):
Good to know, man, it's uh, it's so tough when
you see them in the middle of the night all
the time, and you work middle of the night like
we do come into work. That's when they're out and
they think that they're safe. And you know, there's so
many of them in our neighborhoods because we pretty much
built a bunch of homes on their property. But also
(02:18:58):
they're reproducing like Craig. I mean, they're they have sex
more than literally cav like that. Seriously, they can't say
humping my rabbits anymore. You got to say hoping like deer.
It's amazing they reproduce.
Speaker 1 (02:19:11):
Like crazy question for you because obviously they say deer
in headlights, right, They see the headlights and they freeze
if you turn off your hair lights or you flash them.
Speaker 2 (02:19:18):
Does that help it all? I don't.
Speaker 5 (02:19:19):
I think it's a sound that gets them. I think
you got to really like get the horn going to
kind of move them out of the way. I feel
like I sometimes will roll my windows down, and ye
honestly kept the music up. You know some deer though,
they like channel ninety five to five on my heart radio.
What's up, Marissa?
Speaker 2 (02:19:37):
How you doing?
Speaker 24 (02:19:40):
Oh my gosh, Hi, how are you?
Speaker 14 (02:19:43):
I'm I'm I thought it was ironic that you guys
were talking about this because Saturday night, I live in
Holly and my fiance and I were driving back out
to the Sentin area around seven thirty. And of course
where I was driving on Grange Hall, literally I saw
go in front of me and he's like, you need
to slow down, and I completely almost slow down to nothing,
(02:20:06):
and lo and behold, eight point buck came in and
blew out my whole front of my brand new car.
Oh he literally he literally he was so big, he was.
Speaker 20 (02:20:17):
At least over two hundred pounds.
Speaker 14 (02:20:18):
His abdomen completely went inside of the whole front of
my grill is gone. He bent the inside of my radiator,
everything gone, and he slid across the ground and just
kept going.
Speaker 22 (02:20:35):
Destroyed.
Speaker 20 (02:20:36):
So I'm without a car for a while.
Speaker 5 (02:20:38):
It sucks. I feel bad for you. And this is
you know, this poor lady that hit three of them
in one day. Your insurance company is going to have
your car for a while, and nowadays you can't just
go and get your car fixed over a weekend. I
mean it takes months upon months, So you're going to
be without a car, Like you said, that sucks, are you?
Speaker 22 (02:20:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:20:58):
Have you ever called this before? Are you a first
time long time?
Speaker 20 (02:21:02):
No, I'm a first time long time.
Speaker 2 (02:21:07):
Marissa, Marissa, yay for me? I know, yay for you.
Speaker 5 (02:21:12):
You know, I get heard in your voice when you
when we picked up the phone, it was like, crap,
I got to talk about this, but.
Speaker 2 (02:21:16):
It relates to me. Thank you.
Speaker 12 (02:21:19):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (02:21:20):
Thank you for the call. I'm sorry that that happened here,
all right, thank you.
Speaker 8 (02:21:24):
Have a great day.
Speaker 2 (02:21:25):
Take care of yourself Lydia. There's some crazy ones here, Huh.
Which one am I grabbing here?
Speaker 4 (02:21:29):
Now?
Speaker 2 (02:21:30):
Austin, what's up? Austin? The tow truck driver he were
colling on then?
Speaker 25 (02:21:36):
Yeah, I was towing the guy's car.
Speaker 16 (02:21:38):
Uh last year actually and uh yeah, he he thought
he hit it deer bud.
Speaker 12 (02:21:44):
He looked to the right and flew to the windshield
and it was on this pass.
Speaker 4 (02:21:51):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 20 (02:21:52):
I ended up telling him he got the deer out
of still a lot.
Speaker 33 (02:21:54):
Of help the door and it ran.
Speaker 13 (02:21:58):
I ended up telling him to a windshield, play that
he got a new windshield and drove off.
Speaker 9 (02:22:02):
Wow, the deer was sitting next to him, Shannon.
Speaker 2 (02:22:05):
And they're not cute deer. They were sitting next to you.
They're pissed that you hit them. So there, I'm surprised
that thing didn't.
Speaker 8 (02:22:11):
You don't understand how much I loved here.
Speaker 2 (02:22:13):
Oh my god, what was the story.
Speaker 5 (02:22:15):
There's that one story where there's a nine to one
one guy where the deer went through his window in
his car and then started attacking him while he was driving.
It was like something out of like a horror movie,
you know, and the deer was like in the backseat
of the car, like coming after him and biting them
from that behind. That person I saw in the news
hit three deer in one day, Jenny, How many did you.
Speaker 14 (02:22:40):
Four?
Speaker 9 (02:22:41):
Stop it right now?
Speaker 2 (02:22:43):
Where are you driving?
Speaker 35 (02:22:44):
One day? Not all in one day?
Speaker 20 (02:22:46):
But what the thing is?
Speaker 33 (02:22:48):
The funny thing is I have a good friend.
Speaker 35 (02:22:49):
It's a hunter, and I killed more deer and every
time I and I killed them all unfortunately and total
every one of my cars when I've hit them, and
I call him every time to come and get the deer,
because they can take the deer so they can process
the meat. And so I killed more deer with my
car and given him more deer than he's ever hunted.
Speaker 2 (02:23:10):
That's funny, that's insane, that's amazing. Deer does he put
their heads up on that?
Speaker 21 (02:23:15):
Every honey, every hunting.
Speaker 35 (02:23:16):
Season, he looks at me and he's like, he goes, Okay,
it's sunning season. Go get driving, Go get my deer.
Speaker 2 (02:23:22):
Does he ever hang like the trophies on the wall.
Speaker 35 (02:23:25):
That you've hit, No, because I should hang them because
I've gotten four of them.
Speaker 5 (02:23:31):
Yeah, that's crazy. Wow, you hit four total, But Misty,
I like this one. Misty, tell everybody what you tell
Lydia just a second ago?
Speaker 24 (02:23:42):
Me Yeah, yeah, oh okay.
Speaker 28 (02:23:45):
I hit three in the span of a year and
a half.
Speaker 24 (02:23:48):
The first one I hit, I was going seventy five
miles an hour down forty one in Wisconsin. I live
in the up and I just I have a hummer,
so I just plowed right through that, and I just
I was scared to stop, so I drove.
Speaker 30 (02:24:01):
A little further until I wanted to stop and see
the damage. And then I hit two more after that,
and then I was driving my daughter home from basketball
practice and there was a deer in front me. I'm like,
oh my gosh. So I stopped completely and it was
just standing there. Well, it was waiting for its friend,
and it jumped the snow bank and.
Speaker 12 (02:24:20):
Plowed right into the.
Speaker 2 (02:24:21):
Side of my car. You stopped for him and it
plowed to you.
Speaker 30 (02:24:26):
Yeah, his friend. Yep, that's why he was standing there
waiting for his friend.
Speaker 38 (02:24:32):
I could have cried.
Speaker 24 (02:24:33):
I'm like, my insurance company is never gonna believe me.
Speaker 2 (02:24:38):
Wow, are you ready?
Speaker 13 (02:24:46):
Them all.
Speaker 2 (02:24:51):
A dear a female dear.
Speaker 8 (02:25:00):
Myself?
Speaker 2 (02:25:02):
Do you hate the little bastards?
Speaker 4 (02:25:04):
Long way to n I do all of them?
Speaker 2 (02:25:09):
Yeah, thanks for listening to us on the radio. App
I appreciate you.
Speaker 18 (02:25:13):
Yealloway a drink with jam and bread that would bring us.
Speaker 7 (02:25:19):
Back to do.
Speaker 2 (02:25:22):
All right? Hold on, I want to know the doc
of rock Look at this.
Speaker 5 (02:25:34):
I want to tell you someundthing. When I heard this news,
I actually said to myself, this cannot be true. This
guy works like four hours a day. Why the hell
would he quit that push job that he has. The
man who invented rock radio and for so many years
fifty years is that right, or is it years fifty
(02:25:56):
years with very little downtime. Either this guy has gotten
them the name. You don't get the name the Dock
of Rock without being literally a legend. Doug Podell is
retiring and the announcement was made this morning live on
his radio station that he's on one oh sixty seven
wheels w LZ. But this guy's been associated with so
(02:26:20):
many different call letters. I think of these call letters
and how are you know? Iconic? They are W four
the w riff, which, by the way, you built and
made that station. Those guys owe you some money right now,
because they wouldn't be where they are right now if
it wasn't for you. As well as you made some
stops in other cities too. You made some stops in Minneapolis,
(02:26:42):
you made some stops in Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (02:26:43):
Yeah. Am I right in saying this? Doug?
Speaker 4 (02:26:45):
Were you?
Speaker 2 (02:26:46):
Were you Howard's boss at one point?
Speaker 12 (02:26:48):
Yes?
Speaker 15 (02:26:50):
And you guys had a little adversarial type of a relationship.
Well yeah, but he told me that I was part
of the bit, so you know, to go along with it.
But we were actually friends at W four yeah six
point seven, when he was here in Detroit and when
he launched his syndication. He was looking for guys, at
least I think he was looking for guys that believed
(02:27:11):
in freedom of speech. You had to have that first,
or you just couldn't, you couldn't deal with the situation.
So we were the third affiliate in Cleveland, and they
brought me in there to basically launch this thing and
help launch the syndication and you know, work with the
consultants to you know, get more stations for Howard. And
(02:27:33):
in the interim, we went number one and decimated America's
rock station, which was WMMS at the time, and we
went number one and had that his final funeral, which
was this one hundred thousand dollars concert that we threw
where he had Heidi Fleis there and you know, David
(02:27:55):
Lee Roth and America and of course Howard and all
of the minions, Yeah, and Elephant Boy and Stuttering John.
And it was probably one of the greatest rock moments
or moments in radio for me. Really, the whole story
of not only going to Cleveland, but launching Howard and
(02:28:18):
all the things that happened to between, but then the
funeral and the wire cutting that happened.
Speaker 2 (02:28:24):
Yeah, explain that you guys got to hear this one
the wire cutting, so, you know, we.
Speaker 15 (02:28:28):
Were broadcasting live, and the competition really felt that they
could stop it, and they did several things to try
and stop it, including I got a call from the
FAA saying that there's a plane about to fly overhead
with water and they were going to drop it on
us on twenty thousand people who were there for this concert.
Speaker 2 (02:28:51):
And I said, well, if they.
Speaker 15 (02:28:53):
Do that, you know, they'll lose their license forever. The
FAA and the plane company actually decided I did not
to do it. You know, they weren't going to let
him do it, and so an engineer, uh, and I
I expected something from this station and these people. So
(02:29:15):
I had plane codes playing clothes people everywhere, including.
Speaker 2 (02:29:19):
Right there by this one little wire just like this that.
Speaker 15 (02:29:23):
Attached to the building, to the trailer, and the engineer
walked snipped it and then tried to head right to
the edge of the water there because we were in
the flats and throw his stuff away, and he they
took him down just yet.
Speaker 2 (02:29:41):
They cut the wire to stop the broadcast, to stop
the broadcastistic.
Speaker 15 (02:29:47):
You know, and within five minutes we had the broadcast
back up because we were ready, and uh, there was.
Speaker 2 (02:29:55):
There was some hell to pay for that.
Speaker 8 (02:30:01):
Have you heard from him since his retirement announcement.
Speaker 5 (02:30:04):
Since the news came out? As Howard contacted or he
will contact? Oh, yeah, you know, we'll talk about it. Yeah,
he always does. Well, I do get texts on occasion. Yeah,
and they'll say, Doug Howard's talking about.
Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
You and he likes you.
Speaker 5 (02:30:20):
I actually used to say to Doug all the time
because I would listen to Howard and I would hear
that all the time and hear them talk about you.
And then I also wondered your relationship with Drew and
Mike because you came into RIFF and you were Drewing,
Mike's boss. You were the program director of RIFF right
and and honestly, eighteen years, the biggest numbers, the biggest
(02:30:43):
ratings that that station has ever had is under the
helm of Doug Podell, the doc of rock with twenty
something shares and stuff like that, or well, it.
Speaker 2 (02:30:53):
Was bigger than I ever imagined. Yeah, for sure, How
did you get that name? Does somebody give you that name?
Or did you?
Speaker 4 (02:30:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (02:30:58):
Well, I was at Double twenty four, which was one
O six point seven, and uh, I was full time.
Speaker 2 (02:31:05):
I was doing ten to two at night.
Speaker 15 (02:31:06):
When they had the four hour shifts and Sky Daniels
I don't know if you remember his name, but he
went on to the Loop and you know, he was
pretty famous and he was great, okay.
Speaker 2 (02:31:18):
And he goes, Doug. You know, it was one Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 15 (02:31:22):
We were there earlier, and he goes, you know, you're
missing something, and I'm worried for you that they're going
to let you go. And I'm thinking, oh, man, what
does he know because he was a music director, so
he was behind the closed door, you know. And he goes,
do you have a nickname at all? And I said, well, well,
(02:31:44):
back in college at w A.
Speaker 7 (02:31:47):
Y N.
Speaker 15 (02:31:47):
They used to call me the good doctor. Okay, so
for some various reasons that we won't get.
Speaker 2 (02:32:00):
You a female doctor. Is that what I'm as saying?
Speaker 7 (02:32:03):
You're a collegist.
Speaker 2 (02:32:06):
Street exactly, bag? Okay to ruck song about a nickelbag.
Speaker 5 (02:32:20):
I look at you, Doug, and I got to tell
you something. The thing I don't this is I don't
get you are a great storyteller, and you can tell
a story, and it's the art of telling a story
over a fifteen second to twenty five second or thirty
second intro is lost because it's so hard to do.
But you did not deserve twenty five thirty seconds. You
(02:32:43):
deserve this, like the conversation, why did you ever never
try to do just do mornings or anything like that.
Speaker 2 (02:32:48):
I can't get up that tough time right now. I
see your wife will kick your ass out of bed.
And that's what my wife does. She just says it's
time to go to work. You know, you got to go.
Speaker 15 (02:32:58):
I never really had a I would shift because I
was programming too, you know. So I did mid days
when I was at RIFF, Yeah, because Arthur was there.
Speaker 2 (02:33:07):
So I wasn't kicking Arthur out of his Arthur P.
Speaker 5 (02:33:10):
Do you know who Arthur P is? I've heard right,
So you guys are all the younger and stuff like that.
Arthur P was a legend. The guy made a living
off of going baby on the radio. Well baby.
Speaker 15 (02:33:21):
When he goes on Facebook right now, it says baby.
He gets three thousand likes.
Speaker 2 (02:33:26):
For baby baby. Yeah, that's amazing likes, you know. So
the legend that was.
Speaker 15 (02:33:33):
Kind of part of uh my career was working with legends.
I worked with Steve Dall for a while, Jay Jamners
or you know, I hired them from Riff to come
to Wheels.
Speaker 2 (02:33:45):
Wow.
Speaker 15 (02:33:45):
So we were in gridlock much like we are today,
and and we needed to make a change. And uh,
you know, we were looking for a morning show. And
I called Jim up because he hired me at W
for a full time. And I said, are you guys,
are you guys interested in you know, coming over here?
(02:34:07):
And he goes, well, we're having difficulty with our contract
right now. He goes, it's perfect timing.
Speaker 2 (02:34:13):
So Wow. A lot of people their jobs to you, Doug,
Doug pot the jobs because two questions. The one thing
that as a PD though and not just a DJ.
Speaker 18 (02:34:29):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:34:29):
You do have to make decisions. You can't just you know,
like fluff through.
Speaker 4 (02:34:35):
You know.
Speaker 5 (02:34:36):
Oh, I look at Tony's job all the time. I
can't imagine when Tony has to do these riffs where
they let people go and stuff like that. I guarantee
you it eats him up.
Speaker 2 (02:34:43):
I mean it does.
Speaker 5 (02:34:44):
It's tough. And not all the decisions are made You're
not you're making the decision. They're made above you, right
and so.
Speaker 15 (02:34:50):
And a lot of them back then, I did have
to make you know you didn't have the luxury. Then
talking about decisions, why are you retiring and what do
you plan.
Speaker 2 (02:34:59):
To do well? Retiring because tomorrow is my seventy third
birth Why that's amazing?
Speaker 8 (02:35:08):
And fifty years it's just it look great and then
nice little package.
Speaker 15 (02:35:11):
Yeah, fifty years. You don't get points for fifty one
fifty two. You know, listen, I'm gonna tell you this.
Speaker 2 (02:35:18):
I said this. I feel like a poser. I should
not be.
Speaker 5 (02:35:20):
I should not have gotten inducted in the Radio Hall
of Fame. Doug Podell needs to be in the radio.
Speaker 15 (02:35:24):
I came and uh, you know, I'm going to miss
our conversations in the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (02:35:28):
By the way, we talk all the time. We have
bad prostates. So he talked all the time in the bathroom.
That is the truth.
Speaker 12 (02:35:34):
Doug.
Speaker 5 (02:35:35):
Doug, you are and I'm being as sincere as can be.
You're you are one of the top probably five to
seven guys I've worked with in this business as far
as legends are concerned. And I remember when you came over.
You came out of retirement. He was retired one time before,
like Jay Z it was.
Speaker 2 (02:35:52):
I know he came out.
Speaker 5 (02:35:53):
He's like Michael Jordan better than Jay Z and he
came out of retirement to come back and uh, when
Wheels got you, like these guys are, they're actually how
great is this? And I know you didn't do it
for the money, because I guarantee you that this company
wasn't paying. You did it because of the love of
building something that was cool. And honestly, when you and
uh Intrudy and everybody over there came over here and
(02:36:16):
did that, it brought viability to this signal that I
still don't understand one oh six seven to me six.
I mean, maybe it's the curt it's the maybe it's
the curse. It's the curse of getting rid of the
call letters W four. It's probably the curse of the.
Speaker 2 (02:36:31):
Cause of the call letters. It's the signal. There's I
I When Tony.
Speaker 15 (02:36:35):
Said, yeah, the good news is we got w l Z,
I go, oh, what's the signal in ninety eight and
he goes, No, one O six, Well, the good news
is you got Wheels. The bad news is you got
one O six point seven. So it's a it's a
battle uphill. But nowadays with I heard app you know
what I mean, I always feel like it doesn't matter.
That is the truth there there. It's becoming more and more,
(02:36:56):
but it's still a battle. It's still an uphill battle,
but but one that we're finally getting over the hump on.
Speaker 5 (02:37:03):
So I'm so happy for you. I'm happy for your family.
I loved and I still love Doug's daughter, Lauren. I
usedill love having Lauren on our show all the time.
You got grandkids. Lauren gave you beautiful grandkids, and you
have a beautiful wife. You're gonna go home or you golf?
Speaker 2 (02:37:19):
What do you do? You're gonna do anything fun?
Speaker 15 (02:37:21):
Well, you know what I'm gonna do, Actually, Mojo, I'm
gonna do some record shows, okay, because I have a
lot of memorabilia, tell that crowd.
Speaker 2 (02:37:30):
I was gonna make some money sell that and some
sports shows, you know.
Speaker 15 (02:37:35):
I mean, I've had people who have studios already asked
me about podcasting and things. I don't I don't think
I need to do any of that. When you've done
fifty years. There's no rush to get back to it.
When you know you We talked about me being retired
(02:37:55):
sort of without.
Speaker 2 (02:37:56):
Wanting to be. I felt that there was still so
in the take I had to get out.
Speaker 15 (02:38:02):
I never thought he'd be seven years later when I
came here, that you know I would, I would still.
Speaker 2 (02:38:08):
Be in our business. They don't normally let you go
out and say goodbye.
Speaker 5 (02:38:11):
Yeah, so that's why it usually doesn't have They walk
you out, and when you're walked out, you don't want
you got, you know, unfinished business. I have to say
this is this is really special Tony. One of the
things I will say about Tony and Colleen and this
is no joke. And I heard for the most sake,
they can you can you can give the company crap
for being the big guys. They if if if you are,
(02:38:32):
if you've been good to them, which you have been,
and you've brought a lot of money to the company,
a lot of advertisers, they will let you pretty much
go out on your your own accord. If you haven't
been good to them, they're gonna cut your ass in
a second.
Speaker 15 (02:38:47):
Colleen was at my last retirement and I was crying
my eyes out and I looked across the room and
I could see her crying her eyes out, and I
said to myself, oh man, you know, and then meeting
up with her back here, I think she knew in
my heart of hearts, you know that I wanted to
go out this way.
Speaker 2 (02:39:07):
Something could you give, like a quick piece of advice?
Speaker 1 (02:39:09):
I think fifty years, no matter if it's radio, no
matter what the industry is, fifty years says a lot.
Speaker 2 (02:39:15):
What's the stains this law?
Speaker 15 (02:39:17):
You got to be a hard worker, and I know
all of you are, and this family of radio people
are that. It's an amazing group of people because it's
some people who have gone through the same thing that
I've gone through, from call letter to call letter. But
it's also young people who have come up and have
been tutored by some of the best people in Detroit
(02:39:41):
radio and guys like yourself who just are brilliant, who
have the passion. And when I see a young person
with the kind of passion that I used to have,
you know, you want to nurture that and hone that
in and do everything you can. And like my buddy
(02:40:02):
Zach Okay I was. I was really impressed with Zach
when I first met him, and I told a lot
of people in the building, you know, this is a
young man you don't want.
Speaker 2 (02:40:13):
To lose, you know, because of his you know, just
enthusiasm for the medium.
Speaker 5 (02:40:19):
A lot of people have lost it. Yeah, and that
saddens me, you know, but one of the greatest honors
you'll ever get. And you and I have talked about
this before, and you guys will experience this in your
lives with your children, when your children say I want
to do what you're doing, which Doug has had with
Lauren getting into media, and then I have had with Joe.
(02:40:41):
And it's also a curse too, because you know what
I mean, you don't want them, you know, the dirty
part of the business and things. But I will say
this to you, man, you have left. There's been a
lot of people that got in this business because of you.
There's a lot of DJs out there. I guarantee you
that listen to Doug Podell on the air, but also
would send you tapes over of the years and you
would air check them.
Speaker 15 (02:41:01):
And so I'm so happy for you, buddy, Happy birthday.
I know nobody that you're broadcasting to knows who they do.
Speaker 5 (02:41:12):
Texting you man, Doug Podell, Zach Dougs leaving guess Watts.
Speaker 2 (02:41:22):
You're Zach? Can can Zach have the Moniker? The doc
of rock Now.
Speaker 9 (02:41:27):
That was a real quick.
Speaker 5 (02:41:30):
Warned when when jingle Ball tickets now eat for four
Mojo Live hang out with us for the dirty because
she's gonna talk about a bunch of stuff, including are
you talking about the Hall of Fame?
Speaker 10 (02:41:42):
Ye?
Speaker 9 (02:41:42):
Should I start with that while he's in here? Okay?
Speaker 8 (02:41:45):
So the rock and Roll Hall of Fame welcomed a
whole bunch of names that are going to be familiar
to you. Cindy Lauper, Outcast, the White Stripe, Sound Garden,
Bad Company, Sultan Peppa, and Joe Cocker over the weekend.
Some of the highlights that I keep seeing some some
videos of Cindy Lauper and Avril Levine dueting.
Speaker 2 (02:42:08):
Yes, what's Avril Levine doing these days?
Speaker 22 (02:42:16):

Nikki Glaser is facing a lot of backlash after her

Knew that Chris Jenner's big James Bond themed seventieth birthday
party was happening this past weekend at Jeff Bezos's house.
I mean, the guest list was just everybody you could
possibly imagine from jay Z and Beyonce to Prince Harry
and Megan Mark. What it was like all of Hollywood
was there. Well, the cops were called after numerous noise
(02:45:25):
complaints from neighbors. I guess the decibel level was off
the charts because they had Bruno Mars performing, So there
was that.
Speaker 9 (02:45:32):
Now, nothing really happened. The police issued a warning.
Speaker 8 (02:45:35):
But then there were these huge like fake greenery, like
these huge fake bushes that were put there to protect
the celebrities entering from a lot of the paparazzi was
out that was outside. Well, those required a permit, and
I guess the party plannera the very famous Mindy Weiss,
did not get a permit for these hedges.
Speaker 9 (02:45:55):
So during the.
Speaker 8 (02:45:56):
Party police came and took them.
Speaker 9 (02:45:58):

the tragic sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Mighty Fits
and her lost twenty nine crewmen.

So the story because the only I only knew it
because the song.
Speaker 8 (02:46:15):
Okay, so lots of tributes happening right now. I knew
there were a lot of over the weekend as well,
But fifty years ago today it was one of the
worst recorded storms on Lake Superior in history, and this
huge freighter sunk. So Gordon Lightfoot wrote a song back
in the seventies called the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,
and it retells the story of that ship's fateful night.
Speaker 5 (02:46:40):
Yeah, there was almost thirty people dead, twenty nine twenty
nine people dead. Yeah, and they're ringing thirty bells up
in northern Michigan this morning, and twenty.
Speaker 8 (02:46:51):
Nine for each of the soul's lost. One for all
of the lives that have been claimed on Lake Superior.
Speaker 2 (02:46:57):
Wow, that's wild.
Speaker 8 (02:46:58):
It might be for all of the lives claimed there
by the Great Lakes. I thought it was one for
Gordon Lightfoot because he's done too. That's the other tragedy
that he's not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
But Cindy Lauper is, Oh, hold on a second, one
of the great writers of all time, Gordon Lightfoot, Sure, see,
I look at it.
Speaker 5 (02:47:16):
I don't know much about Gordon Lightfoot because I was
never a rocker. Like the only rock I knew was
like bon Jovi growing up does it matter that he's
I don't do anything?
Speaker 8 (02:47:25):
Why he can't?
Speaker 9 (02:47:25):

you're got macaronious.
Speaker 38 (03:02:04):
They're not making it right.
Speaker 2 (03:02:05):
Come on Thanksgiving? We got to win here right now.
Oh my gosh, Ruba and.
Speaker 12 (03:02:12):
Momo make the call.
Speaker 7 (03:02:15):
Wait what, Lydia?
Speaker 8 (03:02:16):
What you just said?
Speaker 9 (03:02:17):
What you just send to the group?
Speaker 3 (03:02:18):
Chack, make what call?
Speaker 14 (03:02:19):
Kevin?
Speaker 7 (03:02:20):
Don't talk to me like that.
Speaker 3 (03:02:21):
You you make the call, we will have.
Speaker 2 (03:02:27):
Lydia says, I have a lot to do. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (03:02:33):
Here's what stop doing?
Speaker 2 (03:02:34):
That is your Rochester's banquet is making chicken?
Speaker 5 (03:02:37):
Wait, white chicken, chicken, turkey, potatoes, green beans, veggies, salad
and rolls.
Speaker 2 (03:02:45):
Who's the client?
Speaker 3 (03:02:49):
And that's fine?
Speaker 5 (03:02:50):
Why don't we do this? Why don't we do this?
I'll call the Rochester Banquets. Who are the nice people
at Rochester Banquets. I'll personally call him today. Her name
is Don Don. I'm calling down today and I'm gonna
ask Dawn for a little help for Kevin, and I'm gonna.
Speaker 2 (03:03:03):
Have and I'm gonna ask for Ready, we'll get my Costco.
I love Costco.
Speaker 5 (03:03:10):
Oh my god, what if you know how this is
what happens in my family Ruba and Mo. I'm gluten
free and I'm the only one in the family is
gluten free, so they make me a little private like
hungry man dinner.
Speaker 9 (03:03:23):
Like a personal person.
Speaker 2 (03:03:25):
That's what Kevin's gonna get of mag and cheese. I'll
just go and eat after all. Really, you know what
you do? You do what some friends in my neighborhood do.
They go get Chinese food. I'm a MotorCity, so I'm
Thanksgiving if I go visit somewhere. We love you, Mo,
you take care of yourself. Okay, I'll go on.
Speaker 5 (03:03:47):
I don't want lydia and mad at Kevin today. I'll
figure out that if I got to know she loves you,
You're like.
Speaker 3 (03:03:53):
No, see that that's the one I'm talking about.
Speaker 7 (03:03:56):
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (03:03:57):
Okay, if you're mad at me, it doesn't at her
because we'll love each other later.
Speaker 5 (03:04:02):
Yeah, whatever, coming, all right, we need to we need
to show prayer during this commercial break. We'll be right
back I'm gonna need it bad.
Speaker 2 (03:04:09):
Mojo loves to argue with dumb people. He wears some
dough then beats them with his experience. This is Mojo
in the Morning.
Speaker 4 (03:04:18):
It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 5 (03:04:21):
We're commercial free Mojo in the Morning and Caitlyn is
on with us. She's getting ghosted right now. Caitlyn, how
did you guys meet? I'm not at a bar, Okay
went out on a date. Do you think there's anything
that you guys did on this date, or maybe you
(03:04:42):
specifically did on this date that potentially could be the
reason why he's not calling you back.
Speaker 16 (03:04:48):
I mean I guess, like my friends were there, but
like because I told him I was going there.
Speaker 8 (03:04:54):
But that's like your friends.
Speaker 2 (03:04:56):
Hung out on the date, So no.
Speaker 24 (03:04:58):
No, they just like I just look at I was
like going there, Okay.
Speaker 9 (03:05:01):
Did he know that your friends were there?
Speaker 16 (03:05:05):
I mean at the end, I guess, but like I
still am, like just don't know. It was really a
good date.
Speaker 2 (03:05:12):
And then let's not.
Speaker 5 (03:05:14):
Let's talk to Alex here. Say hi to Alex. Caitlin,
Hi Alex, Hello, Hey Alex, what's happening?
Speaker 4 (03:05:23):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (03:05:24):
Caitlyn was wondering what's happening with you guys? And will
there ever be another date? Will there be a second date?
Uh no, I don't think so. And uh yeah, she's right.
I thought it was weird that her friends showed up
to our date.
Speaker 2 (03:05:41):
So explain to me the friends thing, because of her
friends were just hanging out at the bar or came
to the bar where you guys were.
Speaker 22 (03:05:50):
Yeah, it was like they were like spying on us
or something very weird, Caitlyn.
Speaker 2 (03:05:54):
Were they just there and it just happened.
Speaker 16 (03:05:57):
I was letting them know where I was headed, you know,
like go code like.
Speaker 5 (03:06:01):
I'm meeting a guy at a bar, and so so
they came specifically to watch you guys on your date.
Speaker 16 (03:06:09):
Well, I mean they were just like there in case,
like in the background, you know.
Speaker 8 (03:06:13):
So could you see them from where you guys were.
Did you interact with them or you.
Speaker 24 (03:06:17):
Just knew them They just knew that I was.
Speaker 2 (03:06:20):
There and didn't interact with them. How did you know
they were her friends?
Speaker 45 (03:06:26):
Because they kept looking over at us and like she
was looking at them. They were like taking pictures.
Speaker 4 (03:06:32):
It was weird.
Speaker 2 (03:06:34):
And what part of the date did you guys say
these are her friends or she say that those are friends.
Speaker 22 (03:06:42):
Yeah, because she acted like they weren't for a little
which were I think is even weirder.
Speaker 2 (03:06:45):
She like admitted it later on, so it made me
feel like I was crazy. So uh yes.
Speaker 5 (03:06:53):
So for a good portion of the date, you guys
are out doing your thing. You guys are sitting together, what,
having drinks and something to eat or something.
Speaker 8 (03:07:00):
M h yeah, and then.
Speaker 5 (03:07:03):
You started noticing that there's another table full of girls
that were paying attention to you guys.
Speaker 2 (03:07:09):
And then what happened? Did you finally say who are they?
Or did she say those are my friends? Yeah? I
was like, do you know those people?
Speaker 22 (03:07:17):
And she was acting like she didn't for a little bit,
which I think is the weirdest part of it. And
then they just kept She was like text messaging a little,
which is also weird when you're on a date with somebody.
I saw them on their phone. It looked like it
felt like they were like TMZ or something.
Speaker 2 (03:07:33):
It was weird. The paparazzi sing why didn't you just.
Speaker 8 (03:07:40):
Like, I don't know.
Speaker 16 (03:07:41):
It was just one of those things where you're like,
you're meeting I go at a bar, just protecting yourself.
Speaker 5 (03:07:45):
You know, any have any of you guys ever gone
out on a date and told your friends and your
friends showed up at the same place.
Speaker 8 (03:07:52):
Not me, I don't think so.
Speaker 7 (03:07:53):
I showed up, but I've told them.
Speaker 6 (03:07:55):
They just know they're on standby, Like if I text
you to come here, get over here now?
Speaker 2 (03:08:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:08:02):
Is it?
Speaker 5 (03:08:03):
Is it weird that her friends Caitlyn's friends actually went
and were sitting there watching them?
Speaker 9 (03:08:08):
I think, so make me uncomfortable. If I enjoyed the date,
it wouldn't matter though, but.
Speaker 2 (03:08:16):
But yeah, this didn't seem like he enjoyed it. Uh,
what's up?
Speaker 46 (03:08:19):
Maybe they like lingered a little too long, but I
mean again, like it wasn't such a deal and he
would have Amanda, what's up?
Speaker 24 (03:08:28):
Good morning.
Speaker 26 (03:08:30):
I feel like if her friends stowed up without her
knowledge and like without her saying like, hey, I want
you guys there, I feel like that's a boundary issue
with her and her friends, and like I don't really
blame him for being annoyed with that, because like if
they don't know the boundaries of like let me have me,
like let me go on this date and have my space,
then like what other boundaries are her friends going to cross?
Speaker 2 (03:08:52):
Caitlin. Did they do this without you knowing about it
or you knew about it that they were coming.
Speaker 16 (03:08:58):
I mean I knew, I mean I knew that they
were going to come, but.
Speaker 1 (03:09:02):
In your mind, well though, well, did you have the
conversation like, yeah, come but once I feel comfortable enough,
like you can leave, or did you tell them I
want you to stay the whole time just in case?
Like what was your conversation with them?
Speaker 16 (03:09:18):
So like it was one of those things where I
was like, Hey, I'm gonna go to go at a
bar and they were like, is you gonna be safe?
And I was like yeah, for sure, and then we're
going to come and I was like okay, and I
was like great.
Speaker 19 (03:09:27):
But like.
Speaker 16 (03:09:29):
You know, it was like one of those things where
was just like, you guys stay over there.
Speaker 2 (03:09:32):
And I'm going to be on the state, Amanda, what
do you think?
Speaker 39 (03:09:35):
I don't know.
Speaker 26 (03:09:36):
I feel like if you said to your friends, like,
you guys stay over there and I'm going to be
on the state, and then it became like an issue
after you told them like we're going to be doing
this like a separate thing, then I still feel like
it's like a boundary issue and they stuck up like
respected like that you said that you were going to
be doing your thing and they were going to be
doing their things. I think like we see this a
(03:09:57):
lot in like you know, movies, and it's like a
joke where like, oh, my friends are gonna sit, you know,
at the other booth with like a newspaper and pretend
that they're you know, like just casually there. Like fine,
but it is kind of like weird. I think it's
one thing to be like, hey, I'm going to this bar,
like I think Anna was saying, like, you know, just
for safety reasons, but for them to like actually be
(03:10:18):
sitting there, I don't know.
Speaker 33 (03:10:20):
I feel like I'm a little a little much.
Speaker 5 (03:10:22):
And so obvious, so obvious that they are there because
she obviously tipped off Alex into knowing that she was there.
Speaker 2 (03:10:29):
Jason wants to make a comment, what's up, Jason, Hey,
what's up?
Speaker 25 (03:10:33):
I feel like this is like you just.
Speaker 4 (03:10:37):
Pretty much invited your parents to this date.
Speaker 8 (03:10:40):
Yeah, oh my.
Speaker 16 (03:10:40):
Gosh, that is ridiculous. No, it's just you don't understand
what it's like to be like a woman meeting a
person out there in the world's.
Speaker 20 (03:10:49):
Most it's called live your life public.
Speaker 12 (03:10:53):
It is out here. You go out in the universe
and you live your life.
Speaker 22 (03:10:58):
You don't got to be scared about everything.
Speaker 5 (03:10:59):
Well, I do think there is a difference between like
Anna said, hey, be on the lookout for my maybe
my location, and having them show up watching you guys.
Speaker 8 (03:11:09):
The entire time, or even show up go to another
part of the bar, pretend you don't know me.
Speaker 2 (03:11:17):
Yeah, what's up, Bridget.
Speaker 25 (03:11:19):
Yeah, I was just calling to agree with Amanda, like,
your friends absolutely drop the ball there and we're completely conspicuous.
Speaker 20 (03:11:27):
Have you never seen any spy movies? Like, what is
the problem being so obvious?
Speaker 2 (03:11:36):
Jamie? What did you want to say?
Speaker 36 (03:11:39):
I wanted to say that you need to stop blaming
the friends and you need to take accountability for yourself.
If you saw your friends there and it was gonna,
you know, intrude on the date, you get up, you
tell your friends to kind of go away, and you know,
be an adult about it.
Speaker 8 (03:11:54):
You seem like you're kind of just whining, whining.
Speaker 16 (03:11:58):
Oh my gosh, they were I don't need to tell
them to leave if they were fine. I think he's
just overreacting.
Speaker 2 (03:12:05):
What's going on? Democrats? What's up? Okay? Mo Joe, what's up, buddy?
The first time but a long time.
Speaker 26 (03:12:16):
We talk.
Speaker 47 (03:12:17):
Uh, it's just our friends being there, that's not a problem.
But taking pictures and stuff, that's that's weird.
Speaker 2 (03:12:26):
And Alex, do you think this is a big thing?
And I don't know, if you'll be honest and saying this,
do you think if the friends weren't there and they
weren't taking pictures, would you have been interested more in
Caitlin or were you just not interested? Also, I think, I.
Speaker 48 (03:12:45):
Mean, it's hard to know based off of the fact
that I didn't experience that, but not Yeah, I think that, uh,
it is possible that I would have Definitely I would
have the date more if their friends weren't watching us.
Speaker 43 (03:12:57):
Like we were.
Speaker 9 (03:12:58):
I'm trying to think of it.
Speaker 8 (03:12:59):
If the she was on the like if I was
out and the guy that I was sitting across from
had all of his buddies and I knew that, I
feel like I would act differently. No, but I feel
like I would act differently because I would know I
was being watched, so I wouldn't be able to fully
even be myself, which would be in turn unfair to
my date.
Speaker 3 (03:13:17):
True, So I think I don't know.
Speaker 5 (03:13:20):
There's a level of this could be played off like
it's cute, right, and it's a level of it could
be played off like it's creepy. And in this case,
it came across to Alex like it was creepy and
probably to the rest of us that it was too.
Speaker 2 (03:13:32):
But listen, I don't think he's into it.
Speaker 5 (03:13:34):
If I was really into a girl, if I went
out with a girl and she was as cav says,
fire and I call out or cold, I would be like,
you could bring her mother, her heads, you know, you
could bring her parole officer probably be in her.
Speaker 22 (03:13:50):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 15 (03:13:51):
This is the home of a dirty on the thirty,
back throw down on a second Date, update, and more
than roses.
Speaker 2 (03:13:56):
This is Mojule in the morning.

Speaker 2 (03:14:35):
Jet. Do you know there are two.
Speaker 5 (03:14:37):
Degrees at University of Michigan that are some of the
hardest programs to get into. Number One, the Veterinary College
is the hardest in the country to get into. It's
the best veterinary school in the country. The next one
is the turf management people that yeah, and people that
come from there end up being groundskeepers for like the Tigers,
but also work for big golf courses and things like that.
So Aaron McMaster, a good friend of mine, Legen and
(03:15:00):
from the graduator, have a great day, guys, We'll see
you tomorrow.
Speaker 31 (03:15:04):

Toledo and West Michigan, it's Mojo in the Morning.
