Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show.
It is good to have you here with us today.
Hopefully you had a good weekend. We have a lot
to get to War the Roses today, and boy, we're
starting off the week right with War the Roses busting
a cheater and a girlfriend who thinks that her boyfriend
is cheating because she was told by one of his friends. Now,

(00:25):
there's a little bit to me of shadiness hair. Whereas
I have said on the show since day number one,
and it was taught to me by my mother, God
rest her soul.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I loved the Lady Patricia.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
She used to always say when she didn't believe us
that there was a hair in the butter, and I
would say, I love butter. Why did somebody put their
hair in the And it's probably not me, it's probably
one of my sisters with their long hair. But there
might be a hair in the butter in this one
because his female friend came up to her at a

(01:01):
party and said to uh, to Jade, hey, I wouldn't
trust him, so that would be kind of an interesting
thing to know if she's got a thing for him.
We're going to actually make a phone call to see
where he's going to send a dozen free roses this
morning here on the show, So stick around smo John
in the morning. How did everybody spend the weekend and

(01:24):
the extra day that they got to to sleep in?

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I want to hear Shannon.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
It was our birthday weekend? Y, happy birthday birthday.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Say it was a very low key weekend. I hung
out with my family Friday, Saturday, and uh actually yesterday
as well, and Wes and I went out to dinner
on Sunday night.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
It was really nice.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, how was How was Moose Preserve.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Good? I did tell you that I went there on
Friday night? An'tight? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:50):
It was gefty? Did you get the Rocky Mountain oysters?
Did you know?

Speaker 4 (01:53):
I got the Shepherd's pie, which is my favorite thing
to get there. If you haven't if you live in
the Detroit area, by the way, and you haven't been
to Moose Preserve, I think it's a bloomfield.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
I'm not quite sure what city it is right there.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
But it's like a cozy I don't know, like cavity
vibe north right.

Speaker 5 (02:10):
It reminds me of being up north.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
And so I was saying the food's great, yeah, most
North is bad.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
I'm not going to I'm with you there cea.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Up North food is always fried food. All it is
is fried something fried, fried, mushrooms fried, you know, zucchinis.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Like, it's got a lot of fried stuff. What is
Shepherd's pie.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
It's like like like hamber meat basically vegetables and then
it's topped with mashed potatoes.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
But it's in a form.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
It's like a chicken pot pie without the chicken.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
My favorite shepherds in there.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Would you see I saw your friend Todd Bartis, did
you Yeah, he was eating right next to us.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Oh, he told me, he said, he said that Smith
he Todd's father in law, was a coach for the
Indianapolis Colts with Tony Dungeye and he coached Peyton Manning
for many many years. He's a legend. And Todd had
his father in law's Super Bowl ring or.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Super Bowl ring, very very cover in diamond and crusted
super Bowl ring and Smith was.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Like, can I put it off?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Drop it?

Speaker 6 (03:20):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
It was great.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
That place is great.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Not the best place to bring your vegan sister, because
there's like taxiderman animals all over the place, and their
menu consists of venison and buffalo and beef and chicken
and pork and stupid on my part.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
So I had to warn her before she wanted it.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
What did she eat? What did they have?

Speaker 5 (03:37):
He had seemed broccoli in French fries.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Oh my gosh, can you but what if the French
fries have been cooked in chicken fingers.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Which very clearly told them, see was vegan.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
And they, by the way, whenever they tell I tell
them I'm gluten free. That I know they're full of
crap too, and kitchen hopefully.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I mean, I think it was bad enough that she
was sitting and there was like a huge, you know,
deer head above her.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I feel like as soon as she walks in is
like in the movies by I felt.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
So I walked in like ten minutes before she did.
I'm like, this was it.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
You know, it's funny.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I don't like. And that's a great place. I've been
there numerous times, actually, Sheriff Bouchard, this is favorite restaurant
in Michigan. And I have a hard time whenever I
go into places that have large fish tanks up front
or dead animals hanging on the wall, like I do
not like going into a restaurant that has items that

(04:35):
potentially they could have just grabbed and put on my plate.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
You don't like the fish tanks.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I hate I hate going to I hate going to
Chinese restaurants that have fish tanks because I am assuming
that they're they're not ever running out of anything to cook.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
You got to be worried if they right next to,
you know, an animal shelter, right next to a cat.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Farm, red lobster where they take them.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Eating.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
See, I'm not like that, and the fanciest of places.
And no, I'm not saying red Lobster is the fanciest
of places. Don't be disrespectful, but the fanciest of places.
Like if you go to say Joe's Stone Crab or whatever,
which is in Chicago or down in Miami or South Beach,
I don't want the stone Crabs to actually be there.
I want them to come into it in a box

(05:25):
that's dead.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Already, you know, but you know they're fresh though, if
they're sitting out front of the glass.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
I don't want fresh. Like I don't like the idea.
I don't like the idea that the guy just caught
him to me. It doesn't work and I don't like
going to my friend's houses. And I got a lot
of them that will say, hey, we just went fishing,
you know, on Lake Saint Clair, and I'm gonna cook
some of the fish that I got. I'm like, I'm sorry,
I don't know if that fish has got has eaten

(05:51):
somebody's you know something.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
So what about like the homies you have who go
hunting and they may off a deer and then they
come back with the freyre's venison. You're not enjoying that
jerky cav They.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Have to lie to me about venice and chili, like
if they if I tried it.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
All, yeah, I'm not eating it.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
Really.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
I won't touch that like I did I had.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I've only had it one time, afraid.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
I think his name was Ben when I used to
work at Quick and he brought he had a big
ass plastic ziplock bag. I'm like, bro, what is that? Like,
I just killed it this weekend. It's called venison. I
was like, what is venison? He's like, dear meat? You
want someone? I was like, why not has some? It
was delicious. It was spicy fresh deer. I thought you
were saying that the deer's name was Ben.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Can I tell you that that there are people and
I know who they are.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
There are people that will eat.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Just about anything, including I know a guy who loves
venison but also eats squirrel sometimes. Geez to me, to me,
there's calv I just you couldn't eat squirrel, could you?

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I would say that, I don't know. Give me on
the right day.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
The craziest thing, and I don't even know if it's
crazy that I've ever eaten, I guess would be out alligator.
I went to New Orleans and I was like going
to order like a regular shrimp hooboid, and I saw alligator.
I was like, you know what, why not let's have that.
It was chewy, It was pretty good. It wasn't like octopus.
It was like a I don't know, like a weird chicken.
It was like it was meant to be tougher, but

(07:16):
it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, I'm not good with it unless it's got breading
and ranch dressing jets ranch to be exact. Hold on
a second, Heather, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Heather?

Speaker 6 (07:29):
I can remember as a child, red Lobster being the
most horrific place I had ever been to in my
entire life like someone like literally reached in and grabbed
this live creature and burned it or boiled it a
lot like.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
And you hear you hear them screaming right when they
do it?

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Is that true? Or is that an old wives tails trill?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
You can hear it go, but that's just the water boiling.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Do you want to know what the worst gift to
ever get from somebody is, Heather, and I received it
a box of lobster. Somebody somebody bought me once a
box of lobster. And the worst is you had to
cook it within a certain amount of time. And I
don't even like cooking, you know, I don't know Stofer's
uh lasagna, you know what I mean. So, uh so

(08:21):
we ended up bringing over to a friend's house and
did a lobster boil and it was just awful.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
It's just a lot of work, Yeah it.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Is, and it's they scream it's akay.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
By the way, the lobsters screaming at red lobster are
not lobsters. That's usually two waitresses pissed because somebody didn't
show up for a shift. So but hey, have a
great day, you too, Oh, Shannon, you talked about gator.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
What's up?

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Mo?

Speaker 2 (08:49):
How you doing?

Speaker 7 (08:50):
What?

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Else?

Speaker 1 (08:54):
To the girls say hi to Shannon the birthday girl
and uh Anna the not birthday girl, what's going on?

Speaker 7 (09:02):
Okay, happy birthday, Happy birthday. Hope you had a blessed
day to day for sure, but yeah, what's happened with
that gator?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Cass?

Speaker 7 (09:10):
Like when I lived in Florida, I just moved back
to Michigan. I don't know why. I don't ask me,
but like I actually caught a like a gator all fishing.
I called a peacock bats and the gator like kind
of ate it on the way in and then I
call it the animal control man and they let me
like get a process and like that that weird chicken taste.
It's literally like a gator. Man, it's weird. It's weird

(09:34):
all it is. But it's the same with like kangaroo.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Me.

Speaker 7 (09:36):
I don't know if you've had.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
You just escalated things. Where did you have kangaroo?

Speaker 7 (09:44):
I took a trip. I forgot worry where No, it
was like a leg the kangaroo, Like it's really good, man,
it sounds weird, like do you probably think about kangaroo jack?

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Right?

Speaker 7 (09:54):
But like kangaroo is solid.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Dog, do you know what part of the kangaroo you
were eating? And like, how does it look?

Speaker 6 (10:03):
Look?

Speaker 7 (10:04):
Look?

Speaker 3 (10:04):
I eve making it weird.

Speaker 7 (10:06):
I don't know what part it was, but if I
had to guess, had to be laid.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I want some of that pouch.

Speaker 7 (10:15):
I don't know about the nerdy have a great day,
no you. I appreciate, Joe.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
I love when guys are wearing gator shoes, like the
old old dudes have like gator shoes on.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I still got my prom gators. Do you really? And
a pink?

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (10:36):
You remember you showing us a picture the gators?

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Hold on? Would you eat this? Wait? Hold on? This
is bad because I have all the time. What's going on? Chris?
Hey dog, what have you eat?

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (10:52):
We've had a beaver at the camp.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
That was a pretty good stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Pretty good stuff. Mm hmmm.

Speaker 7 (11:00):
Oh man, that's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
So you're a guy that likes to eat beaver?

Speaker 7 (11:03):
Huh, Well carry it.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
That's the only question I asked. How do you like
your beaver? Happy birthday? What's up? Emily High?

Speaker 7 (11:34):
Hi Cannon.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
I just wanted to wish you happy birthday.

Speaker 7 (11:36):
It's my birthday. To birthday twins my.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Birthday was actually yesterday, but thank you.

Speaker 7 (11:42):
Oh we're welcome.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
I hope you guys had a good day, and I
hope everyone that has a good day too.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Thanks so much, you too take care of yourself.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
It's awkward going to a girl named Emily right after
we just talked about eating beaver.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
We're going to be right back with more mojo in
the morning.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
Night
