Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it is Mojo in the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
So Shannon went and did some holiday shopping with Anna
yesterday for our families for breaking and entering Christmas wish.
They did a phenomenal job doing shopping, even if people
could not recognize Shannon at the target that you guys
were shopping.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Oh, An, Anna, we both had come fresh from getting
a spray tan.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Wait, you guys both got a spray tan together.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Not together, but we had both. We both had a
spray tan appointment at four and then we said, okay,
we're going to meet at this specific target afterwards.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
So we both so you both went in there together spray.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Tan looking all because you look kind of crazy right
after you get it done.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah, what do you look like after a spray tan?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Very very dark. You look darker than mom. Not like
tan mom because she was orange, but you're you're dark
because the solution's just sitting on your skin and then
you have to wait for it to develop in like
shower off after a couple of hours.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Here we're on the air. I don't know where that was.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
It actually looked beautiful. I looked like a crazy versa.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
What kind of spray tan do you do? Anna?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Is it similar to what Shannon does or do you
guys have different places that you guys like to go to.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
I go to this place called Bronze Beauty Bar and
she does a hand spray tand which I like. I
like sometimes it's a machine, so I like the hand.
I mean, it's an interesting experience. I'm standing in front
of this girl, like completely naked. It's like bend over,
stick your butt out, is.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
It because I've never seen anybody get spray Tand is
it like using a paint sprayer, like literally a gun
like the spray a wall and stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah, and they can do all different shades.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
And do you go in? Do you go in and
they personally are doing it or do you have a
machine that's goes.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
So I've gone to the same place for years and years.
In here for fifteen plus years, it was called Sole Potion,
and I see that because I'm so sad. But they've
just closed a couple of weeks ago, so you have
to find a new one. No, so the owner, Michelle,
I don't know if I'm really supposed to say this,
but she has become a really great friend of mine

(01:56):
over the years, and because she's seen me. But naked
so many and so when they closed, she her and
I were chatting and she's like, I still have all
the equipment and the solution, and you know, you can
just come to my house if you ever need to
get spray tand for something. And she mentioned jingle Ball.
She's like, oh, I know you have jingle ball coming up.
Just come to my house. So yesterday I roll up

(02:18):
to her house and I go inside. No, she leads
me down to her basement. Oh my god, she has
a whole setup. She's got a heater right there because Anna,
you know, when you're naked and a spray you with
that stuff, it's freezing cold. She had it set up
just like it was at the shop. But I thought
it was so funny because here I am getting butt

(02:40):
naked in somebody's basement to get spray hand. I'm like,
the things we do.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Does she have a family, Like what if her kids
ran downstairs?

Speaker 3 (02:48):
No, she's single. Well she's not single, but she lives
by herself. She has a long time boyfriend.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
I like this.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I like this as an approach for a topic. The
people that do things out of their house. What is
it that you get done to you out of somebody's home,
like you go to like tattoos, parsings.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
I used to get my hair done in a basement,
a little solander, a little.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Spray, tann and going.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
On and there. I took a picture of.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
This barbarshow yeah, Barbara.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
She had the tents that uh wait, that works, that's
so nice, has the mats it looks like the the store.
I know it was beautiful. I'm not joking.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
So she closed down her thing, but kept the thing
for her herself personally, and then any of her friends
that just want to come over and.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Get it done. Me yeah, I'm clients. What is she
doing for business now that the place is closed down?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I don't know?

Speaker 5 (03:42):
So what.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Somebody already took over it? Are something different?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Like what are you right now? Like are you like
summers summer's night? Or like what do you all call it?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
A color that I get Tahitian soul?

Speaker 4 (03:56):
I wish I had a little more went a little
order you.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I'm like barely sun kissed, low key like I wish
mine was.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
How do you how do you see the difference in
what you do? Like what you can see it on
her hands? I'm channing And what are you doing right now?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I'm pulling down on the side of my pants. You
can see my underlying because I left my underwear of Oh.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Look at that. Mine's not as good.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
I'm having a great date right now. I'm not. I'm
not looking.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
I didn't pull my pants down.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
I gotta be on it. I gotta be honest with you.
I thought you was but naked.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Though, I well, I did leave my thong on. Sometimes
if I'm going to wear a bathing suit, I get
one hundred percent naked. But like tonight, I'm going to
wear a dress.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Do you feel weirder though doing that in her basement
than you did in her store? I mean it's I
would feel more comfortable in the basement.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I would.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I'd feel more comfortable because of you know in the store.
You know there's people walking randos, just walking in going
ding dong basement.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I do have to tell you something though, and I've
said this many times. After you have a baby and
things come out of you that you don't want other
people to see coming out of you. I'm not talking
about the baby, I'm talking about poop. You don't care
anymore what people see of you, well, really don't you
lose all not a cy for yourself.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
But you do care if you're if you're pale.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I do yeah. I don't want to be pasty, do guys?

Speaker 6 (05:24):
Right?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Do they? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I have not laund I have glidos. What's going on?
How you doing, Taylor?

Speaker 7 (05:32):
I just wanted to make turn and saying that this
is where this all started.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
You know, back in the day, you know, you got
your hair done by someone's sister or someone's aunt, you know, going.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
To somebody's house getting it done.

Speaker 7 (05:42):
That's that's just how all this started. So im sort
of thing until you.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Know, nineteen nineties and so nineteen eighties people really started
like outsourcing.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
During COVID, I used to get haircuts on my back deck,
you know what I mean. Like I it was when
when these stores were closed. Katrina would come over and
she'd do the cuts. But my mother in law cuts
hair still out of her house, so.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
She does it, but she has that's what she did.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
She's yeah, and she has a room with literally a
shampoo bowl and everything, like it looks like a salon,
like a mini salon.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
You ever let her cut your hair?

Speaker 2 (06:12):
She used to cut my hair all the time when
we lived in Arizona.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
She's great. Yeah, she was really good.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
But I'll be honest, it is weird to do it
in in somebody's home.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
You know.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I've known people that have gone and gotten botox out
of people's houses.

Speaker 8 (06:27):
You got it, j alone. And I've done it in
facials out of people. How I mean, I've given facials
at home too. It was, by the way, I did
not miss when you were sick yesterday, Jamie. What's going on, Jamie?

Speaker 7 (06:39):
Hello? First, I want to say Kevin a I for coming.
But so me and my friend we had this tattoo
guy that we went to and he tattooed out of
his garage.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Well he had hold on a stop for a second.
You can't say it like that. That's like start the
whole thing over again.

Speaker 7 (07:02):
What did you have brew wine? So me and my
friend decided to get our nipples peers from our tattoo
guy and he does tattooing out of his garage. Well,
she got hers done. I made her go first, and
then I got mines done. And the whole time I
was getting minds pierced. A dog was watching me through
the window of his garage while I was getting my

(07:25):
sniffles pears. I was like, well, thank you the dog.
He made sure he watched the whole time, watching, yes, in.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
The garage doing this, like, weren't were you so it
was It.

Speaker 7 (07:41):
Wasn't just like a garage. It was like finished and
it looked like a shop. It just was the garage.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
You weren't worried like somebody was gonna come home and
use the garage door opener.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
And I told him.

Speaker 7 (07:53):
To lock the doors because I didn't want anyone to
walk in. But I didn't think about the windows where
the dog was watching the hold.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
On Alyssa, what's up. It's Mojo in the morning.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Hi. I was calling because I heard you guys talking
about the things that like how Shannon was getting her
standing done in the basement. I actually just went with
my mom a couple of weeks ago and she got
botox done in a lady's basement.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, so where's the botox setup?

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Like is it set up next to like the kid's
toys or the storage of the Christmas tree?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Like?

Speaker 5 (08:29):
What is it actually set up next to their bar?

Speaker 7 (08:34):
The bar?

Speaker 1 (08:35):
That's great?

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Did she offer you a cocktail while you were there?

Speaker 6 (08:41):
No, but she told me.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
She told me that when she went to a Pride event,
they gave her lips.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
But she's because my mom wanted me to.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Hold her hand while she was getting her botox done,
and she was going to give my mom her the lips,
but they were, you know, not really appropriate.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Well, you know what in the basement, this is all
going on a lot of times that people do this.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Was that Caitlin you there? Yeah, Hi, Hi Caitlin. What
do you get done out of someone's house?

Speaker 6 (09:15):
Well, first, I also have a spray tan lady who
has the whole setup in her basement. It's just like
Shannon was discussing, and it's completely separate from the rest
of the basement, has a door. It's very the whole setup.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
So it's a little professional job.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
Yeah, super professional. But my nail tech has a whole
setup in her house and I want to give her
a shout out. She's in Clinton Township.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Wait, it could be she a state going after.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Her want me to plug her? She doesn't want me
to plug her, but honestly, she's the best nail tech.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
That what's her first name?

Speaker 1 (09:53):
To say?

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Her first name Samantha, So Samantha in her basement is
doing nails.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
No, in her living room actually, like the side room.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Can you smell dinner being cut? Does she havese?

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Does she have like a real nail chair, like where
you can put your feet in the water and everything?

Speaker 7 (10:19):
Yes, she has everything.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
If I had that in my living room, i'd watch TV.
I'd bean like watching Monday night football sitting in the
nail chair.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
I mean sometimes she'll put on Netflix for me.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Oh my gosh, I like it. I love.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
I love going to the dentist and being able to
just watch like a movie or something there. Do you
imagine if you went to the dentist in their house,
doctor Depila in his living room taking care of business?

Speaker 1 (10:44):
What's up, Sarah? How you doing?

Speaker 7 (10:46):
Hi?

Speaker 6 (10:47):
So I kept my dogs died in my own Wait
a second for one saying, let's not even talk about
the house thing.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
You die your dogs?

Speaker 7 (10:56):
Absolutely, it's all plant based.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
I ate it smelled a bit like playtot case. Very good.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Why do you want your dogs died? Are your dogs
not happy with the way that they naturally look?

Speaker 7 (11:06):
It gives them more attention?

Speaker 8 (11:07):
Actually?

Speaker 1 (11:07):
And yeah, what color are they red? Because redheads always
get attention. They look like tiggers. I'll send you guys
a picture.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Yeah, yeah, one's orange and the other one's brown.

Speaker 7 (11:21):
But they one orange.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
No, that is so weird. That not weird. It is weird.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yes, I was gonna say, I don't want to call
you a weird, but that is wild. You die your
dog weird.

Speaker 7 (11:35):
You can call me weird.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
I'll see you.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
I want to see a photo.

Speaker 7 (11:41):
I will send it if I can send it to
the to the other number.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, Lydia will give you a number to send it
to us. Okay, thank you? All right? This is wild.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
People are like texting. They've got a masseuse that they
go to the person's house. That sounds like I'm a
guy that girl. Another one has a guy that comes
to their house and does tattoos. Another one text her
here says, I get Brazilian waxes out of my friend's basement.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Is there anything people don't do? It's wild? But you know,
this is a very Midwestern thing.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
It seems like I think too.

Speaker 8 (12:14):
Yeah, I think I like this West Coast.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
I can see people in L A. G and doll
like this really absolutely? Oh all right, you know what
I would do next time? That you go to their
person's house, ask them what they're having for dinner, and
see if they invite you over.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, just like stay there like Shannon and a.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Great glass of wine. While I was getting really glorio, Did.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
She ever offer that in her her actual tan salon
or no?

Speaker 3 (12:38):
It was better.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
That's cool, all right, upgrade, new new business.
