Speaker 1 (00:00):
Did this happen to you last night, Shannon? Or was
this a couple of nights ago that this happened.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It was a couple of nights ago, and I am
finally out of the most rotten mood in the whole
entire world to be able to talk to you about it.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
And I felt so bad.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
You guys know, when I came in here on Monday morning,
it was like, you know, that character from inside out
anger and there's fire coming out of his head. That
is how I felt when I walked in here, and
everybody knew it too, to the point where I finally
had to say something. But so my apology is that
if I was a real pain in the eye, I
(00:36):
was in such a bad mood, I literally wanted to
jump out of my own body. I don't know if
you've ever felt that way, but it was.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
It was bad.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
But it was because Wes and I had gotten into
an argument the night before at like eleven pm, which
is the worst on a school night, as we call it.
Because I'm so tired, I'm half awake, I do not
(01:04):
have the energy to, you know, give it the argument
the attention that it definitely deserved. So I went to
bed in a bad mood. I woke up in a
bad mood, just still thinking about this fight.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
And what time did you finally get to bed?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
I think I slept two and a half hours because
I was so upset.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I like tossed and turned all night.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
And then it's the worst to have to come into
the station and pretend everything is okay and be happy
and tearful and try to do a radio show.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
And I swear it's It's.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
One of the toughest things to do after getting into
an argument is to come in and be here and
do this job.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Who started the argument, because if you did, say what
are you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
You know that to be super transparent without getting too personal,
it wasn't Wes nor I. It was someone else who
overstepped okay boundary and that started it.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Because I was gonna say that I have started arguments
and I've done them like that where I've done them
at like because I tried to go to bed at
nine or nine thirty and I end up not going
to bed until ten thirty or so, and then I
started arguments at nine thirty and then or started something
and I'm like, okay, I've learned from that, and I
(02:26):
hate getting into those heavy discussions that late at night
because A you're exhausted anyway from the whole day, and
then B you know that this thing is not going
to be two seconds and you're gonna be able to
go to bed because you're I don't know, you're adrenaline
or something like that. Yeah, cause you're not sleep. So
doing this job sucks, like I wish that there's time
so much where I wish that we had a job
(02:49):
that didn't start until nine or ten o'clock in the morning,
because I'd have a lot of arguments. No, I mean no,
but it'd be nice to be able to sleep it
off a little bit.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
How did you feel at the end of the argument.
Did you feel like, yeah, I said what I needed
to say. Did you feel like I didn't say everything?
Were you still angry? Did you feel like how did
you feel before you went to be able in argument?
Speaker 2 (03:12):
There was fire in my chest, That's how I felt.
I was so angry, and Wes did a great job
of trying to remedy the situation, but I also kept
myself awake because I feel like I said a lot
of things that I wish I hadn't had said and
I kind of hate being in that position too, So
(03:32):
there were just a lot of things that then, you know,
like I said, I think I finally slept for maybe
two hours and then to come in here.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
And did you all sleep in the same big I'm.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Real bad about faking ith. Oh yeah, okay, so yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
Crazy, Okay, did you have time for makeup? Secks?
Speaker 1 (03:47):
No, that's not you know, you can. I tell you something.
There's nothing worse than getting into an argument. And it
doesn't have to be before you go to bed at night.
It could be anything. It could be before something. It
could be before you're going in for I don't know,
your doctor's deployment or church.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Yeah, we have to show up together.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
I remember I was dealing with a girl and was
going over her family's house for Christmas. And this was
the first time I was meeting her uncle, who was
like her father because her father had passed away. And
little did I know, as we're getting out the car,
arguing like loud, arguing, even walking to the door. And
we get to the door and it's on Christmas. We
(04:27):
didn't know they had the window open. They like, don't
play all that we heard y'all argument I'm like, this
is nice to meet you.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Everything, hear everything. He was talking about jury. What's up?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
It's mojo in the morning. Whoa, what did the argument
take place before? Your brother named judge?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
So I was.
Speaker 7 (04:47):
Member for not texting back and like he was m
I A for a whole full day.
Speaker 8 (04:53):
So he told me he was in the hospital.
Speaker 9 (04:55):
Of course, you know, me being a girl, I got
so mad and like, know you weren't you were active.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
So we're here the whole.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
Time his dad was in the hospital.
Speaker 9 (05:03):
I ended up blocking him for three days and his
dad passed away in those three days.
Speaker 8 (05:08):
Oh no, I just I feel so bad, feel so guilty.
I don't know how to overcome it. And it's just bad, bad,
bad all around.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
That's that's horrible.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
So you got into an argument with your fiance before
his dad died and it was because his dad was
in the hospital and you didn't believe him.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Wow, that's horrible.
Speaker 8 (05:29):
I didn't believe in him because he told me he was.
He didn't really mention. He just texted me saying I'm in.
Speaker 9 (05:35):
The hospital and I'm like, what hospital, dude.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
And yeah, and you haven't apologized him. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (05:44):
I did.
Speaker 9 (05:44):
Actually had a conversation yesterday I did, and he was
just like, Oh, you're happy now my father passed away.
Speaker 8 (05:50):
What do you want to bitch about.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Now, Jerry?
Speaker 1 (05:54):
That guy, that guy is getting anything he wants from
you for the rest of his life now.
Speaker 8 (05:59):
Because of that, Jurie, I believe it strongly.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
You got to spend thirty days straight on your knees.
Speaker 8 (06:08):
The worst part is he's not even in America.
Speaker 9 (06:10):
He's outside of the country.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Oh no, so you can't even see. Hm, where's he at?
What where's he direct?
Speaker 6 (06:18):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (06:18):
My god, the poor guy. Uh, what's up Amber? What's
going on?
Speaker 8 (06:24):
Hey? Just call and say I'm that parent at the
drop off.
Speaker 9 (06:27):
I'm the one that's, you know, yelling at the kid,
and but I'm also the parent that then emails the
teacher twenty minutes after he gets this cool to say, Hey,
how is he doing? We had a really rough morning?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Oh yes, you gotta almost check in? And then don't
you feel bad?
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Like I do?
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Hate when I get into an argument, either with Chelsea
or one of the boys, and then I have to
come to work, and then I'm sitting here all morning
looking at my phone to see if a text message
comes through to me, you know.
Speaker 9 (06:52):
To Lily, I'm the one that when he hits the door,
I'm like, hey, buddy, we need to talk. Mom had
a really bad mom moment this morning, and I'm sorry,
but I'm going to own up to it, you know,
making him know that I am so sorry.
Speaker 6 (07:02):
It drove me nuts.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
You know what, It's good that you at least see
that Amber. That's awesome, Stephanie. I you got into a
fight just before you were about to make a big
moment here.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
What was the moment?
Speaker 10 (07:14):
We were clothing on a home.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Supposed to be so happy and exciting.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
So were you in the title companies, like you know,
offices there?
Speaker 4 (07:24):
We were en route? Oh god?
Speaker 1 (07:27):
And did it at any point you say I don't
want to buy this house or he.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Say that.
Speaker 9 (07:33):
The realtor told him to think again on having me
on the mortgage, and I slipped out, Oh my.
Speaker 8 (07:40):
Gosh, we're on our way too close with that realtor.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
By the way, I would have strangled the realtor. What's
the realtor trying to do keep you from getting anything?
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yeah, realtor went through a messy divorce, lost half of everything,
same advice. Wow, And so that was fun going in man.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Needless to say, I guarantee you that real lit or
was not somebody that you're already recommending.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Again. Uh, this is funny. We were talking about right
before church? Is this?
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Elijah, Elisia, Elisia, what's up?
Speaker 10 (08:13):
Hi?
Speaker 6 (08:15):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (08:15):
You you got into a fight just before you were
about to say hello to the Lord.
Speaker 10 (08:23):
We were on our way to Flint because I danced
in for church and we were arguing so bad to
the point where I forgot my whole dance.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Oh no, I was just up there. I was just
up there.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
You know what did you just did you look like
the one person that didn't know what was going on?
Speaker 9 (08:40):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Oh man, yeah, exactly. Disappointed.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Gee, you pretend like you're the center of the attention
at that particular moment. This is a place you do
not want to get into a fight before. Sewn just
got into it. This is wild. Got into a fight
before what kind of a doctor's appointment?
Speaker 4 (09:00):
A heart doctor's appointment?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Oh my god, No, Okay, that's mean, Okay.
Speaker 10 (09:06):
Three years ago.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Coming up to the sports of July will be a
third year anniversary of my second heart attack. Oh buddy,
and you're alive. He's alive.
Speaker 10 (09:15):
I was going for the follow up, and the wife
and I got into it, got into the doctor's apployment,
and you know, they always take your blood pressure.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
And everything else. Yeah, he wanted to he wanted to
increase my blood pressure.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Oh my god.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
Man.
Speaker 10 (09:29):
I was like, no, no, no, The wife and I
just got to do a fight from work. Are you
getting in here?
Speaker 4 (09:33):
He's like, yeah, well we're gonna come back and take
your blood pressure.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
About that's funny, And hey, buddy, we're so happy that
you're alive and breathing and everything's good. Emily's this is
a wild one, Emily. Who'd you get into a fight with?
Speaker 7 (09:49):
It was me and my mom and my sister. It
was Mother's Day this year, and we got into a
huge fight on the car ride to the airport, right
before I was getting drop, so we couldn't even finish
the argument, and I had to leave to.
Speaker 8 (10:04):
Catch a flight.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
Were you the only one getting on the flight or
did they get on with you?
Speaker 7 (10:07):
She was I was the only one.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
The person that you sat next to probably thought you
got broken up on by your boyfriend or something.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
Yes, yes, I.
Speaker 7 (10:15):
Was like, you cannot be crying.
Speaker 8 (10:17):
Dr Security right now?
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Can I tell you that I've had moments where I
got really emotional and cried and then ended up going
through like drive through a Starbucks and the person looked
at me like I was something was wrong, like allergies.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
They're like, are you okay?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Yeah, I said.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
I sat next to a girl that cried the entire flight,
and I asked her what was going on, and it
was the same situation. She was leaving her family but
also leaving her the boyfriend behind, and she cried the
entire flight, and I felt like the entire time, like,
give this woman, like another drink or something like that.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Help out. Oh man, I want to hear a crazy one.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Steve, Yeah, you do a Steve found out that or
got into a fight before he was going to Disney.
But what he found out was the most interesting. Go ahead,
tell us the story.
Speaker 10 (11:09):
Yeah, So, I guess context was my ex wife's grandmother
passed away and left her some money, so she used
that money to buy us all expenses paid trip to
Disney World. And the day before we went, I found
out she was cheating on me with my best friend's
brother and she was pregnant.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Oh my god. So you went to Disney World knowing
all this stuff. Were you angry guy or were you
sad guy?
Speaker 6 (11:36):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (11:36):
I was?
Speaker 10 (11:37):
I was. I was angry considering it was my best
friend's brother. But at the same time, you know, it
was it was the most Oh yeah, I went on
the trip. It was a huge trip.
Speaker 8 (11:46):
We went.
Speaker 10 (11:47):
We went to Discovery Coved Swaying with dolphins and everything.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
I was yeah, oh.
Speaker 10 (11:52):
Yeah, she went on the trip too. We just slept
in different bedrooms in the in the condo that we
rented and everything.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
It was very it was very awkward.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Hey, Steve, you just found out that your wife is
blinking your best buddy, Now, what are you gonna do?
Speaker 10 (12:08):
All right? I went to the Disney World.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
You know what, you didn't need that friend or that wife.
You're better off my friend.
Speaker 10 (12:18):
Oh yeah, I hate to be fair. It was actually
one of the best trips I ever went on because
I got to do my own thing.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
It's kind of cool like that, right, I would love
it if he like met somebody there, wouldn't that have
been kind of cool?
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Are you in a better relationship right now?
Speaker 10 (12:31):
Oh yeah, I've been married now twelve years, two kids
for you.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
That's awesome. Yeah, that's incredible. Racali there.
Speaker 8 (12:42):
Ye, I'm here.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
I got into a fight just before what before I
was supposed to.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
Propose to my now wife, but she thought that I
wasn't going to buy an engagement ring and I wasn't
going to propose, and so she threw a huge fight
because I was trying to throw her off because I
had already planned to have the see aquarium proposal where
the diver at the aquarium where we were going to
is going.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
To be giving up.
Speaker 10 (13:09):
Wow she was.
Speaker 6 (13:10):
So we got into a huge fight. And when we
got there, she who was just like had her sunglasses
on because she had been crying and was upset. And
then they're like, they were asking for volunteers, does anybody
want to volunteer to see you know about the scuba
gear and blah blah blah, and then they just called
(13:31):
her up. So she's like no, no, and they're like no,
come up here, and like, oh, can you be what
the sign says? And then she sees the sign and
then she's even more upset because her make up is room.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
You know what that was.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
That's actually kind of a nice thing to actually change
things around a little bit so I can take one
more call, right, I know, I'm so honestly deep in it.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
All our best calls come at the end of a topic. Zoe,
are you there? Zoe h I'm here. Got into a
huge fight right before.
Speaker 8 (14:04):
What right after I gave birth to my first child,
baby daddy? Yeah, we wether of my child? Text a
picture to his ex wife without.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Me in it?
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Oh of your baby?
Speaker 8 (14:25):
Of my new baby, so cute? The new baby to
the ex wife without me in it?
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Why did he Why was he texting his ex wife
a picture of your guys baby.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
That's weird.
Speaker 8 (14:36):
That's a great question. That's what I wanted to do
with her. He has one kid.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Wait, are you still with that baby daddy?
Speaker 8 (14:48):
No, I am not.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
Is that.
Speaker 8 (14:52):
It's a good thing when your baby daddy is texting
his ex wife You just had a baby, that's I mean,
like you don't know what you do? Oh no, but
you wake up real quick? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Good, Well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it.
At least it gave us a good radio call, you
know what I mean. No offense to any story.
Speaker 8 (15:09):
It makes for a great story.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
