You know it's coming.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
This is the Petros and Money Show.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
On the home of your world champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Make us your top preset on the iHeartRadio app. To
a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Gagna Yukes Petro saying money live on location. Yeah, it
is our second tour. Stop everybody. We are in Anaheim.
We were at Brewery X. We are just getting started.
And if you are on the road lamenting your commute,
why not take a detour and come join us for
the next three hours as we will broadcast live right
(00:59):
here at Brewery thirty one, ninety one East Lapalma Avenue
and Anaheim off the ninety one freeway at Glassel or Kramer,
depending on which direction you are coming. I was a
Cramer guy. I was a Kramer guy. We were Kramer
v Kramer. Uh, but we are not getting divorced. We
will be here for three hours. It will be sensational.
We have got a number of prizes to give away,
(01:19):
and we will go to Dodgers Baseball from the galpin
Ford broadcast booth against the Diamondbacks at seven o'clock. Tim
Kates will have Dodgers on deck from here as well.
PEE big breaking news show. How Tani scratched from the
start tonight bullpen game.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
We gotta have David vas On get that out of
the way immediately. I don't think he's gonna no, no, no,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Hey, wait, come on, guys, Oh you think that was
for Vassair for Otani.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
I don't think Vassa is going to disparage Anaheim, one
of the biggest cities in California. The way he's attacked
us in Downy, the way he's attacked us in Rancho
Kuka Manga.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I don't think he is. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Plus, this is big news. I don't know, but this
is a big news situation with Otani. He is gonna
hit as a dh for the Yeah, he is gonna
hit for the rest of the weekend. Hit, But he's
not gonna pitch and he's not gonna go to the
All Star Game. And they said they're gonna have an
intervention with his knee during the weekend, which I guess
(02:17):
the knee is gonna show up, and there's gonna be
other joints sitting there and they're gonna be like, hey,
I'm the hip and here cause i'm your sciatica and
you are causing a major problem for me, ahole. You've
got to calm down. You're all flamed up pitch. So
there's gonna be an intervention for Otani's knee. Of course,
those joints would be speaking in Japanese, the native tongue
(02:38):
of his, of his of his home country. But Matt, yes,
we have a special day to day because this is
a special place. We love being here. A lot of
people are lined up at art. We have so many
prizes to give away today. We have so much to
offer today that it's very hard to sort it all out. Luckily,
(02:58):
we have Matt Smith, who's like a human one of
those chain star machines.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Logistics is my special.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
You could throw a whole bucket of pennies into Matt
Smith and he's gonna spew it out and he's gonna
tell you exactly So he's going to compartmentalize it, and
he's gonna tell you exactly how and what you're going
to be able to win. Tonight at Brewery X on
the Petrosen Money Show, we have a lot of special
things going. Let's start with what people really want, because
(03:26):
you're all greedy and the grabbing hands grab what they can.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Let's talk about the prizes. So if the presence of
the Petrosen Money Show and our community was not enough
to draw you here as you commute down one of
our many freeways, perhaps the plethora prizes we will give
away could entice you to take the detour. Here we go.
Our friend Sweet James has decided to up an anty.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
This got big and we didn't have this yesterday. This
is a new thing that's coming out.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Today, right, that's right, sir, so he and there is
a Sweet James tent on site where we will hold
this portion of the raffle. There's a lot of people
back there. Four occasions, four pm, four forty pm, five pm,
five forty pm. We will give away the Sweet Prize pack.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
We kind of split our vote by starting that out
right Then, when we started the show, like Steve.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Hilton, everybody went back and then, don't bust the trusty and.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Bust the trucks trust you bust the trust You're not
in my life.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Hilting, You're in because that guy busted the trust The
sweet Prize pack consists of a one hundred dollars Brewery
X gift card pick up your bar tab for today,
you drunks. It will also consist of the capt and
cook oven plus grill from barbecues galore.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
So we got four of those. And the word on
the backstreets in the lanes is that that big swolled
up Armenian beefcake.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Oh, he's coming.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Who may have driven a certain host to distraction the
other day when he was in studio.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
A certain host was like, who's that And I said,
I'm mostly on barbers. That's a mostly arm barbecue guy.
That's who that is. He's going to join us.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
He might be here to give out a bigger deal
for the petros and money listeners, beyond the reach which
is hard to believe, but beyond the reach of Anaheim.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
And beyond what we said we would have to give away.
If you can read between the baselines four tickets to
a baseball game. And you know what, we are the
home up here on the Petro some Money show amby
seventy LA Sports. We're your home of the Dodgers. So
that's likely going to be that kind of game exactly right.
So at four Fourport in Milwaukee, No, we will give
(05:41):
away that pack one hundred dollars gift card, four tickets
to the game, and at Captain Cooks Up and plus
from barbecues galore. Now on top of all of that,
our friend Eric is here from v fourth quartershop dot com.
Where are you? Normally we see you Eric and Aiden
his good looking. This year they have got a box
of Dodger merg and all kinds of merch that will
(06:01):
be given away. We also have a two night stay
at an MGM resort destination, a fifty eight inch Westinghouse
Ultra HDTV on site. One of you will go home
with that today. Maybe you'll be blind like our winner
and Fullerton was. Maybe you won't, and then of course
we will have all of our.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
We're very close to Fullerton. It could be another day
for a blind person to win the television. But I
don't know if we have a blind person here, and.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Then we have the stuff that we stole yesterday from
our storage closet while nobody was looking like this hat
and justin Herbert Jersey, like this beautiful autographed Terrence man
Clipper Jersey, like this radio or this radio a radio
(06:54):
or you know what? Do we have anyone that could
sell us on the fact that they are a four
x Don't be shy, don't be shot. Don't be shy.
If you can, sir, you'd look portantly. You are not.
I think our guy right here with the dot you
might be able to sell us off. Come on off,
let's let's get things started. Let's see.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Take a look.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Do we steak four XL. We've got a four XL.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Come up here and do a pirouette in front of
the stream a three XL. We are streaming on YouTube
and x and Facebook. We invite everybody to enjoy the show.
If you can't make it out here at Anaho.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
It's large. It's a large man. How are you, sir? Yeah,
you're good. Different, We got you dude. Here you go.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Congratulations, you know what, that's a fair point.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
I think I think four XL and I think you sir. Congratulations,
You are our three XL winner. We already go, there
we go, there we go. All right, give it up
for the big guys. Give it up with the big guys.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Fatty Boom Battie Show of Record. Wait to go, big Guys.
Anything else to promote as far as giveaways go, Matt.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
As far as giveaways go, no, all right, that is everything,
everything that is sorted. Come see us Brewery x Off
the ninety one at Crame Glisel will be here till
six pm. All of those prizes will be given away
by the time we wrap up at six.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
We always have a good time on remote, especially when
our own double Xcel DJ DJ Santana is playing. But
there is something very special about having live music, and today, Matt,
we've been able to procure live music as they have
set up at lightning speed. Took them only about forty
five minutes to set up. I watched they have very
(08:27):
efficient young people. I didn't see them doing with the
young people that I know my kids are doing, which
is just waking up at noon and getting immediately onto
some device. These young people were plugging things in and
moving things around, holding a boom mic. Very inspirational man,
you know, old boom. I can't wait to hear what
they have to play.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
So today you are all and I cannot wait to
see Hedge fund Ryan's face melt off when they played
Deep Purple.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
It is a warm day.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
But yes, it is Kelly Hunter at Steven Alvitz, Jack,
It's Cunningham. They are here. They are all accomplished musicians.
They were all celebrated. They are hb Oilers. They were
musicians of the Year while they were high school students.
Steven is twenty, Kelly is nineteen. Kelly is that right,
eighteen and Jacks is seventeen eighteen, So two eighteen year
(09:18):
olds and a twenty year old.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Don't give him any liquor. They are playing and if
you do, make sure it's not in a cup that's
see through.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
They are playing at Spagatini, a place that we did
a live show from on Wednesday the fourteenth, from five
to seven. If you want to go see him there,
you guys could share a bill with my father there,
Tommy Lesorda, Charlie Huff, Bobby Valentine, Bobby be They are
playing the Seal Beach Fish Fry a week from Sunday,
and they are playing the famous Cook's Corner. For those
(09:46):
of you hear that. A lot of folks know about Cook's.
They are staples, and hopefully Jack's will not melt because
his is the only spot. Of course, the drummer is
the guy that's got to sit in the sun. That's
the way it always works. But we certainly of applause
for the Steven Albatrie for helping us out today with
some live music. They'll play during our breaks.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
All Right, I'm gonna say a few things and then
we will move on with the show and we'll talk
to David Vasse about Otani's leg. Okay, here we go.
Is everybody ready for that? Perhaps there could be some
kind of very soft musical.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Interlude, little musical. Great to be here.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Frying in July with our fabulous streamers streaming live on
x YouTube and Facebook.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
All of our cool people are here. Thank you for
being cool. From the fifth floor.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Here we have Ricky, we have Wacko, we have social media.
Matt and a funny story about the fifth floor FM people.
On our radio show the other day, Matt and I
were interviewing Mookie Betts and there was this guy named
(11:00):
Elias who is from the fifth floor with us, and
we're in the Dodger dugout and we were interviewing Mookie
Bess and Alex Call, Matt's favorite player, trying to walk,
you know, across the dugout because he's a Dodger player,
and our guy Elias, who probably doesn't know if it's
pumped or stuffed when it comes to the world of baseball,
(11:23):
starts going like this to Alex Call, and I said,
only an idiot from the fifth floor, which is you
know Kiss FM and phost My FM, we would do
something like that anyway.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Everybody here when I got.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Here, was inspired and enthralled by Spain Belgium. As Spain
moves on and Belgium goes Holm, that's where they're going.
Who's on m FI seventy LA Sports today? You saw
it there on the screens. The World Cup is very
very popular here in Brewery X. Did you know here
at Brewery X it's standing room only for Love Island.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Oh, I can see that once or twice a week.
It doesn't it run every night?
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Yeah, it's five nights, four nights live one recap. They
do two nights a week here and it's standing room only.
The next Love Island viewing party here is Sunday at
six pm. Apparently it's one of the best scenes for
voluptuous Anaheim and Fullerton Tortas and hotties. Come.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
I'm here for Love Island now, six.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
O'clock on Sunday. Now I could see myself at a
different time being particularly interested in an event like that here.
Certainly I might even stay after the show. Are you
watching Love Island at a different time? No, No, I
wouldn't be watching Love Island if I was here, Matt,
I'd be looking for tartas I appreciate that with a
(13:02):
harpoon gun. Anyway, this is a very special place to
the Pettersen Money Show. We come here all the time
since twenty twenty one, and it was great because in
twenty twenty one it was a Mooe Defy Seal TmPo,
a tempo mooe Defe Seal. And this was a great
(13:23):
place for us to come together with our community of
great sports talk. As they say here at brew React
Words Talk X marks the spot, and we're here to
enjoy fellowship and friendship and laughter. Brewer Rex was here
for us when La County was acting like a little
bit that's right, man, brewery X was here for us
(13:48):
when some brewery and the IE canceled on us last
minute last year, so we doubled off. So thank you
to our brewer Rex connection chill Ann. There are some
other secretive connections.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
They're dear friends, the brewery folks.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
And isn't it great to see water in the reservoir. Yes,
it's the world's largest ground water recharge project and it's
right here in Anaheim. Behind us is one of the
many basins. And when the water slows down percolating down
through the earth matt they drain it here to scrape
(14:29):
the clogged pores. Now, I don't like it when it's
dry because it gives me a feeling of hopelessness and sadness.
And let's be honest, there's no way we could drown
Burt if the lake is dry, and I do like
to have that threat.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Alive, keep them awake.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
I mean, I wouldn't want to drown Burt in front
of his granddaughter Kelsey and his son David, but I'd
still like to keep the threat alive. And if it's dry,
all we could his beat Burt up in the desert,
you know, like the R Kelly video with.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Mister Biggs throw his lifeless body over the fence. Right.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I did this to you Bert, right, you bitch. But
now that there's water, it's more pleasant just to watch
Bert go under. And we've met. Look, we've been doing
shows here for six years. We've threatened to kill Bert
at least eight or nine times yet and it hasn't happened.
But I like the threat yet. Yeah, it's like boarding school.
(15:28):
I like the threat to be there. I'm gonna send
you away.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Roll a catapult in load bird up, launched it. I'd
like to see him.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Get a little tangled in the barbed wire too before. Anyway,
this is a great place to be. What a great band.
My god, that was fun right all right? I felt
like kill Scott Herron. Isabelle has Arrivedbell, Everybody, don't get
all weird with me, is he. I've seen what you
(16:00):
texted everybody. I've seen in the various seeds that you've
planted about everybody's relationship. You're trying to get in between
us and wreck us off notes. Is he like Monroe
did the Kennedys.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
You're pitying one of us against the other end.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
And that's what happened to Marilyn Monroe the second RFK
and JFK started comparing notes.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
What happened Suppository? That was suppositories so great to see you?
Is it careful? Is he the way you try to
divide us. We're gonna get your share, right, Weetnner. We're
gonna get her a chair. It's not a real partition.
You get it. Get is he up here? She looks
very angry. Last time we got her set up. We'll
get her set up again. Gosh, we need a share chair,
(16:40):
I think for I think we got something inside.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Steve van Dorn, the owner of Vans.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
I've heard he has brought rises or giveaways, I should say,
for everyone, like he always does. He never comes empty handed,
the great Steve van Door. Look at that he's got
his sack of stuff. We've got the day for a
bed quartet, right, we got it all? So U I
guess As we go to break, Stephen does something pretty
cool when he plays live, usually gives you a little
(17:05):
history of the song they're about to play.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
A year it came out.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Album, it's on things like that, and then they roll
into it. You'd be like, wow, I'm a little bit
smarter for knowing when this came out albums.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
He's doing a microphone there.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
What do you think, Steven? You want to get us
rolling here and to break share with us? What you're
going to start with one too? There we go?
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Did you get Burt on that one? That's a tough
call for Burt. Right, well done.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
We got our first song today, Stephen, go ahead. What
do we got? All right?
Speaker 3 (17:32):
We got a tune from Jimmy Hendricks Experience from nineteen
sixty seven from his debut album called Are Your Experience?
Speaker 1 (17:41):
There we go? All right, We'll be right back with
David Masse here on the Petro Some Money Show Live
and Brewer re Exit at a high. This is Petro
(18:11):
Send Money on to mad non demand, non demand, non
demand live at Brewery ex and Anaheim. Will be here
until six o'clock. Hell of us start to the show.
A lot of folks still filing in, Plenty of room,
plenty of seats, plenty of shade and obviously plenty of
beer to get your Friday started. We are going to
(18:33):
Dodger Baseball tonight. But between now and then we have
got a ton of prizes to give away. We just
saw Steve Van Dorn showed up handed us a giant
sack of bandanas, hats, wallets, all that sort of stuff
to go with all of our great grand prizes that
we will be given away throughout the course of the show,
including in the very next center segment, Henrick from Barbecues
Galore is gonna hop up here and give away one
(18:53):
of those cap'n cook ven plus grills. Henrick will be here,
he will do his giveaway.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
He looks skinny and spry and swollen, and his shirt
and was button down.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Shane is out.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
And for those of you women here that enjoy much
like I enjoy, a voluptuous latina, for those of you
women here that enjoy a swarthy.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Armenian man with many.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Muscles and a history of great service to our country
as a marine, perhaps you'd be interested in Henrik, the
CEO of Barbecue Galore. You're certainly going to be interested
in the deal that he has to offer the people today.
And also, how about a round of applause for our
fabulous band, Steven a trio, A fabulous trio. They just
(19:41):
showed you their great versatility by backing me up like
I was Jack Kerouac and they were Steve Allen.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
While we did the.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Intro to the show and the Welcome to Bury exs
and Anaheim, and then they switched into a raucous rendition
of Foxy Lady by Jimmy Hendrix. And the only thing
that didn't happen during the Foxy Lady was the fact
that the camera on YouTube and x and on Facebook
(20:09):
should have panned over to Isabelle from the group home
that came out to visit us. Our most illustrious guest
today Isabelle Ebara. However, Isabelle and I have an issue
and she has come here. Usually we have a very
nice relationship, but she you know, we say we love
each other.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
When we hang up and stuff, like a young high
school couple.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
But she has decided to be very shirty, as they
say in Great Britain, towards me today because I said
some things to her about Mookie Betts a few months back,
saying that he was old when he was in a slump,
and she would say, no, he's not, and I'd send
her back a picture of Geppetto and she'd say, no,
(20:52):
he's not, and I'd send her back like Scrooge McDuck,
you know, everything old. And she's all mad about it
and acting hard and like, I'm gonna tell Mookie on
you you're not. Mookie and I are friends.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Now, I sat with Ata, sat with Isabella alone. Let's
leave her alone at this point, maybe David Bass can
take some shots out.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
I'm coming over this this desk I came in. I
tried to give I tried to give Isabella hug and
she gave me the cold the shoulder frio. You guys know,
the shoulder frio. You men know what it's like. I
went over there and I hugged her.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
And she was like, sh shoulder frio.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
But once Isabelle calms down, we will, we'll get her on.
But obviously, you know, ever since I met Mookie Bets,
there's certainly some jealousy involved. Now here's what we're dealing
with today with David vass Today's not just no, Dave's
not here today. Today is not just any day for
David Vassa. Today's a day where Dave sewer cap nipples,
(21:55):
as Matt likes to call them, are caressed and stro
because today is a television day for David vase.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Oh he's not doing a radio he's not doing radio sports,
not for Dave. So he's in a suit and he
feels all super special and better than him.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Not to correct and retract you. But I heard early
in the morning, Eric Carros made the call Polo day.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
There you go, so he will he will be in
a polo case that it's Polo Day, guys, Polo day
right here.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Carros. You know you're the leading home run hitter in
the history of the LA Dodgers.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
You can make it a polo You get to make
the call for Polo Day.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Whenever, Sure, whenever we book David vass He is always
right on time, very responsible, until it's a TV day
and then all of a sudden he becomes Elton John
having a meltdown about you know, his makeup. So we
are efforting David Vassa and you know, if there's one day.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
You want to be on time in a minute, one minute.
I don't like that, but I do want to make
one more announcement.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
We have a listener who's here, and I don't know
if he's here alone.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
It was kind of sad when he came up here
when I first got here. But we have a.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Listener named Danny Mendoza, and Danny Mendoza is going to
be married tomorrow. He is being married tomorrow to a
poor young woman by the name of Angela, and she
is marrying him tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
She's going to become missus Danny Mendoza. Yes, he is
over here exactly. Congratulations.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
They're going to be married at the Roman Catholic Church.
And everybody knows Saint Dennis in Diamond Bar, mostly in
Asian per parish. I think moren g and Ice Cuba
are also out there in Diamond Bar. Yeah, so Saint
Dennis in Diamond Bar. Congratulations to Danny and Angela Mendoza.
(23:58):
Congratulations and God bless you. Have you listened? Have you
listened a lot of great sports talk? In the car
we eat sports talk and she still okay? All right,
Well that's a special lady for you, and thank you
very much. Matt. Yes, have you had any more prize
luck to give away? Do you want to give something
away to another fat guy? What do you want to do?
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Well, we have we have a Terrence man. Terrence has
not been on the Clippers in three years, so decide
for yourself. But you remember it when he was right
so impactful. Yes, So this is what is a size
fifty two, which I think would equate to about and
double XL would be my guest. If you pinted on
(24:41):
one of my shoulders, you can kind of see the
width of this particular But I am a dainty feller,
so I'll give away one to this thing here. Mark,
who is a big Clipper fan, comes to all of
our summer tour stops and still has season tens.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
This guy is a real weird There you go, and
you could tell because of the velcrow shoes.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Exactly right, he claimed he could sing if we're old
rich man. That was a terrible failure. It was a
coloss You know what else?
Speaker 2 (25:15):
You know what else we have, Matt? We had a
late Cardona at Cardona's here, Yeah, the Freedom Father Cardona
is here.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Freedom Foundry gave us a Yeti cooler with a few flannels,
which will probably come in handy today, especially the lined one.
But we have what four shirts, a Yeti cooler and
a cap? Are we good? Gates? I haven't heard anything.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
I'd like to think he's there, because David just texted me,
so if he has time to text me, I would
say he certainly has time to come on the show.
Wouldn't you say? Why didn't you say? Ronnie, is he there?
We can't hear from you, Ronnie.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
No, he's not there. He's going straight to voicemail and
nothing so far. Yeah, this is Jedi start, rough start,
I mean, but big news with Otani getting scratched from
pitching today game. It's not going to the All Star Game.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
This is a terrible symptom of David vass on television.
And it's why you can't give somebody like a fourteen
year old like twenty thousand dollars at once, because immediately
they do what they buy a Jesus peace and they
forget about their responsibilities.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
And it does it.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Makes it hard on all of us. David Vassailles is here,
no more vamping.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Look at the David vasse joining us right now.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
No no, no, don't boo him like that, don't boot him.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
No no, no, that's he's gonna take it out on us.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
No no, yeah, now he takes it out on us. No. No,
he left us caught in the bathroom like this. Oh,
and now he calls in with all his information about Otani.
It's David fast a from the MLB Network, Spectrum Sports
and at LA and right here, even though he's forgot
about his responsibilities and m five seventy LA Sports one
(27:09):
of the great reporters in all of baseball, and he
broke the news that Dino Ebel is going to pitch
to Bryce Harper.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
That's big, breaking news, made ripples nationally.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Does not does not make you feel better about Otani
missing the whole All Star game, that Dino Eble's gonna pitch.
I don't really anyway. How you doing, Dave? What's going
on out there?
Speaker 3 (27:29):
I'm doing great, Guys. Sometimes you have to work the
clubhouse to try to make things happen. Verizon just doesn't
put things in my lap like certain shows. So you know,
turn clubhouse.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
I hope Verizon turns off your phone or has the
devil call you.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Who's David Eckstein?
Speaker 2 (27:49):
No, it's a series of latinos.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
All a Dodger gives hasn't been relevant since two thousand
and nine. Let's just be honest. Oh likely to have
me on the show with you, and they're lucky to have.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
You there, all right, Dave, Well, you've attacked the audience enough.
Tell us about Otani, Dave.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Yeah, I mean this came to as a surprise to all.
He's not starting tonight, but also he's been managing this
left knee for the better part of the first half.
So the reports out there are accurate that he's going
to have his knee drained, his left knee drained during
the All Star break, he's going to get an injection,
and certainly it's going.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
To be.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
He read and react, as Dave Roberts likes to say,
in the second half of the year, on when he
can pitch, when he can't pitch, when they're going to
give him a day off from dhing And when we
talk to Dave later today, we'll find out when they
got an indication on when he was going to be
scratched from tonight starts.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
But moving forward, Dave, do you think is he going
to play again before the All Star break? Do you
think he's shut down for the rest of the first half.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
He's in the starting lineup tonight as the DH. He's
going to DH, but he will not pitch. And look,
the left niece is landing leg No matter how much
you want to deny it, there's a lot of force
coming down on that left knee when he pitches. And
he was pushed back a couple of days for his
last start, and it's all about managing this left knee
(29:19):
that now we find out needs to be drained and
needs an injection.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
David vase Is, our guest, said that Anaheim hasn't been
relevant since two thousand and nine. I guess he missed
out on a little place called Disneyland.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yeah, what do you think of that day? Dan?
Speaker 3 (29:39):
Do the show from that place?
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Next time we have.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
We're gonna interview Goofy right now, Goofy's coming over on
the loose cannons. Goofy, what's happening?
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Hops you dare attack our great show at Disneyland? Or
are many shows here at Brew reacts But Dave, it
is kind of wild that this news came out at
this point. Major League Baseball can't be very happy. There's
no miss no Otani. Uh, it feels a little it
feels a little flat out there in Philly.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
We're spelled with a po Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
It's it's disappointing because you're not going to have the
brightest star, the biggest star in the sports be out
there for the All Star Game. But obviously this is
extreme circumstances where Otani needs to give this left knee arrest.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
The Dodgers start the second half of the season with
a rigorous schedule, three in the Bronx, three back in Philly,
and then three more at City Fields. So it's not
like things get any easier as far as the schedule goes.
The demand to play doesn't get any easier for the
Dodgers and for otanis So it's not like he's doing
(30:45):
the Michael Jordan where he just skips it because he
feels like skipping media day. This is a this is
a real injury.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
You dare attack Michael Jordan on this air, Uh, Dave?
What is a knee intervention? Is Otani's knee like a
chardonnay drunk like a house.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
I guess that's just the wording of whatever sourcing uh
the athletic in California post god today. The intervention is
the needle going into his knee, draining the fluid, and
the intervention is giving him some sort of quartzone shot
to get the inflammation down in that left knee. That's
the intervention. No surgery as of now is required on
(31:23):
that left knee, maybe after the season, but not right now.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
So there the fluid or a Sauvignon blanc nobody wants
to have the fun today, Ana have you.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
Dave, if he in fact is not the dh A,
who do you think would fill that spot? And b
it was somebody it was something that Will Smith would do.
Any update on that and on Blake Snell before we
get to the All Star break.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Yeah, Blake Snell is going to throw to hitters for
the first time since having those loose bodies removed in
the beginning of May. Yeah, that's a big step. And
if you us do the mass on when Snell started
throwing his bullpen sessions, the first or second week of
August seems like a good landing spot, especially since the
second week of August the Dodgers begin thirteen in a
(32:13):
row and that's usually where they like to place these
guys coming off the IL. And my understanding is when
Snell comes off the IL, it could be in tandem
with Edwin Diaz or Daz just a little bit behind
him and Glass Noow's throwing, So he's about three weeks,
three or four weeks behind those guys. And as far
as Will Smith goes, Dave Roberts says he doesn't expect
(32:34):
him back until August at the earliest. He told us
that during our managers meeting last the day before yesterday.
So the left turning to his left side is still problematic,
but the Dodgers feel like they can get this under control.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Dave, you broke that story last night among so many others.
How does deno Ebel know Bryce Harper.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Well?
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Bryce Sarp and Dino Ebel lived in Vegas together, so
when Bryce Harper was in high school, Dino Ebel was
around a lot. It would actually throw to Bryce in Vegas,
and Bryce Harper being on Team USA for the World
Baseball Classic, Dino Ebel would throw him batting practice with
the first group of those superstars, so he knows how
(33:19):
good the betting practice is from Dino and my understanding
talking to Freddie Freeman and Dino just a few minutes ago, guys,
is that Bryce Harper reached out to Freddy a month
ago asking him for Dino's number and to kind of
float out the idea to have Dino throw to him,
but he wanted to make sure first that he was
going to be selected to the All Star team, and
(33:41):
if he was, he actually text Dino and said, hey,
I might need you, and Dino had to make sure
no Dodgers were going to participate in the derby, so
once he made sure that wasn't going to happen, he
was able to give the green light to Bryce Harper.
All that took place last night as Dino was living
in Rancho Cucamonga and got self service for that brief
(34:03):
moment in time to get the green light from Harper.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Since it will already be settled by the time we
talked to you next, Dave, any updates on any other
Dodgers maybe getting added. I know you talked to Dave
Roberts and he mentioned Robleski and Tanner Scott if he
had his way, any idea about when that could get
sorted out, And if you think it will get sorted out.
Speaker 3 (34:26):
That would be sorted out probably by tomorrow if it
hasn't happened at the end of tomorrow. I don't see
a late ad on Sunday because guys make plans for
the All Star break, right, you know, they have vacations plans,
So I don't think Major League Baseball would do a
last minute add on Sunday. I feel like that would
have to take place by the end of tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
All right, Dave, wonderful stuff as always, and thank you
so much for finding your way to the phone. It
is Spectrum Sports in La at a Spectrum Sports Net
La tonight Tomorrow night Sunday. Expect David Vasse working double
time on the radio as well. Thank you, Dave. Great
information is all. We look at the people, they turned
(35:10):
around on you, most of them. Oh, you set them up,
You set them up to knock them with you, Dave. Wow,
that's an entitled guy hung on, don't even care about
the crown.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
All right, we'll be back. Henrick will join us from
Barbarait Hughes Galore. We will give away a capt and
cook oven plus grill from Barbitus Galore in the very
next segment, and then at four o'clock we will give

Southern California's most listened to sports talk show This Money
on demand, live.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
On location at Brewery X and Anahe putting the button
on the first hour, going to be here until six
o'cur good hour, great hour, couldn't it? We were able
to survive it. We will also run until six o'clock,
but Tim Kate's going to be here until seven. He'll
do Dodgers on Deck from right here at six pm
(36:40):
all the way until seven. First pitch no otanis Dave
shared with us in the last segment. Instead, it will
be a bullpen game tonight. Knee trouble, left knee, so
he is not going to the All Star Game. They'll
have the need drained and he will not pitch tonight,
but he will continue to be their designation Kidder an
intervention in his knee.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Your kids see your knee drinking show. Hey stop it.
They're having a big intervention for his knee.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
That's right. But joining us right now.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
On your Toyota SoCal Celebrity headset live from brew Reax
in Anaheim personally a man who.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Was carved out of the.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Rocks of the wilderness of Armenia. Do not check your
Apple weather on your phone, as it did just get
five degrees hotter here at brew Reax, But the satellites
would not.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Be able to detect the heat boots on the ground,
from the grill.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
From the muscles, from the aura. As the young people
say of the great hand wreck of barbecues, Galar the
CEO of barbecues. Galar not just a barbecue isle, barbecue store,
and a great proponent of great sports talk, great sports
friend of the show, doing things for our listeners.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Veteran of many summer tour stops.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
We love you, listeners, but let's be honest, doing things
for you that you don't deserve.

Rancho Kook, you were there I remember you, sir, with
your chain out in our last event in Rancho Kuckamoga, Henrick.
You did a deal that was almost stupid, right, and
many people felt as if you overstepped.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
There were national listeners calling in from different places around
the country trying to get a g grilled delivered to
place Vegas, Saint Louis, horrible places.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
See uh you know what was the fallout and how
are things now?
Speaker 4 (39:03):
It was insane. Literally, I swere to guy. Within three minutes,
I get a call from or Mine, I got one
from Bolancy, I got one from San Diego, one from
New Mexico. My guys are like, hey, some customers going

pissed off. Customer came into the store, got pissed off
because my guys were like, I have no it's crazy.
He goes it, I'm here and I replayed it. Yeah, yeah,
(39:26):

what two three hundred within the first two days.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
Good yard. Yeah, so we do here, all right, well
we do you know, certainly we can't you know match
that because you know, I mean it was a little
bit of an anti climax.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Yeah, you go see Van Mortenson.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
You say, well, he starts out with brown eyed girl.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
He just said, why not.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
Well, he's just gonna give up. I always told he
was just gonna give away like a plastic spatch.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
He's gonna well, no, he's gonna give away a two
hundred and fifty dollars gift card to somebody.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Okay, make it okay, but.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
For those that couldn't make it, that were maybe tied
up at work or stuck in traffic or the bus
trans we're not gonna do it again. To upset, his
employees say why not?
Speaker 4 (40:04):
