no added sugar, real vodka. You know what the live boys.

S is lightweight hilarious. No capno cap for real, No cap no
for real, no cap on.God high noon, hert Seltzer. Be

(02:37):
a real boy. Keep it onehundred yes, like we do. That's
base you've ever said, man,I would love vodka iced tea in a
can. Well, that's not whatI say. No, I say it
would be based if we had vodkaheist tea and it can no cut.
You know how I talk? Oh, you know me. I'm a vodka

(02:58):
iced tea Stan. You are standfor it. Don't misresent represent the way
I talk to make me sound likea square John. I'm not a square
John, all right, don't yoube gaslight me. Don't get I've been
in the life for a while now. I'm not a square John. Matt,
I'm talk. I wouldn't say Ilove this. I'd say, like

(03:19):
you said, I stand this. That is what I would say. That's
right. Even you would still saythat's what I was. You just took
up. It's mid that you tookmid and that's not cool. No cap
on that one. That's that's notcool. On God, keep it one

(03:43):
hundred exactly right. And I'm sorryI got the Evil Boys high School wrong.
They did go to that high school. Though at a certain point.
Okay, Berry's tickets dot out letBerry hook yep, second down to nine.
And don't forget about the chef metetho. The chef is in you,
empowered by your Southern California Toyota dealers. Visit your local dealer and you'll

(04:04):
see how based it is to drawthe Japanese car. It's time for the
word of the day with his words, the word of the day. You
know I'm gonna do it, Matt, I think I have to do it.
I've got to double up, finebamb for the word of the double
up for the word of the Day'sstill taking shots. Well, the word

(04:26):
of the day today. I wantedjust to play Ennis Cantor saying Lebron is
the dictator the NBA, and Ishould know my family's been in prison,
you know, like, uh,that was a pretty good sound from Ennis
Cantor or truth Cantor and fighting adictator is not easy. And he literally
said no one and that could bea reason the Lakers made no acquisitions.
Cantor said the quiet part out loud. The kids say that too on Twitter.

(04:50):
Uh he spoke truth to power. You kids say that, Ennis Cantor
said, Nobody wants to play withLebron. He's a dictator the NBA.
Nobody wants to take the blame forhis failures. But that's not what we're
going to talk about. That's true. You're right. As for Doc,
he kept it, as we wouldsay in Greek Elithia, the truth.

(05:13):
He did keep it one hundred andthat's no cat. No. We could
go around and around again, Matt, you want to go around a cool
guy with me? You want todo it, brother, You want to
see you the most base man andtell him it's Adam Austlin. He just
dusted a whole avocado with a spoon. It was impressive. He rowed dogged
that avocado. I'm gonna row dogmy flight to New York. I'm gonna

(05:36):
row dog this concert. No drinks, no drugs, the phone broad dog
rod dog. What was I talkingabout? Okay? Fine bombing yesterday find
bomb called for Lincoln Riley to befired. He did, and we played
that sound. He's an sec mediaday, pissing everybody off. And today

(05:59):
you know who he went after somuch so that it Twitter painted Robert Griffin.
Iid to where he had to doa giant Twitter and video response,
Okay, he went after coach Prime, Oh yeah, and Colorado go for
it. Adam Page, asking whetherDeon Sanders and Colorado are close to the

(06:19):
playoffs, simply doesn't understand the realityof the road. They're not going to
the playoffs this year, and I'mnot sure Deon Sanders is ever going to
get them to the playoffs because Idon't think he has the patience to stay
at Colorado long enough. There's somany misconceptions out there. Deon Sanders is

(06:40):
the best salesman I've ever seen.I personally love the guy and for what
he stands for, but the programlooking out has a ridiculously inflated view of
itself. I heard Shador Sanders, who's a fabulous quarterback, say last week
we are everyone's Super Bowl shardour youare not. You are an easy win

(07:01):
nowadays. You got off to aphenomenal start last year, beating a couple
of mediocre teams that had big names, and quite frankly, you haven't done
anything since other than crash and burn. So I know that the media loves
this story. We follow all overourselves, but Colorado isn't important in college
football. Dion Sanders is he's astandalone person. He's one of the most

(07:26):
charismatic people we've ever seen. ButColorado is nothing. They don't matter.
They're irrelevant in the big picture ofcollege football. And that's really how most
people feel. Yeah, I can'tdo it anymore. I love fine bum.

(07:51):
Well he's right. What's Robert Griffin'sproblem with that? Well, he's
talking about you know, they getratings and he's made him relevant, and
when they lose in September, allthat's gonna go away. It's gonna be
like it was in November last year. Yeah, they didn't get ratings when
they had lost five in a row. Ucla beat him twenty eight to sixteen.

(08:13):
Last year, Oregon State beat them. Yeah, Wazoo Arizona beat him.
That was close. Wazoo put fiftysix on him. That's embarrassing anyway.
A lot of Super Bowl trophies beingpassed out. Yeah, if every

(08:33):
game is a super Bowl, yougotta give one to Wazoo. There,
jeez, and that'll take that'll takethe sting out of being pushed into the
pack too with the well drinks.Give him a super Bowl trophy. No,
I mean, people ask me aboutColorado all the time, and it's
great to have attention on a programthat haven't hasn't had a bunch of attention

(08:54):
in years since Cornell Stewart or ChrisBrown and Bobby Purify and Coach Barnett's beautiful
big twelve zone plays. That's great, and we all love Colorado football and
Ralphie the Buffalo and Joel Klatt andall that. But when people ask me
about it, I say two things. They won't block anybody, and they're
not gonna start doing it anytime soon. That Travis Hunter guy just said on

(09:18):
a group chat that the old linecouldn't block for s oh yeah, because
their rating was Solo and Madden orNCAA twenty five. And he's the best
player on the team. I'm surethat makes that position group, which is
the most important on the team, feel great. And especially if you have
a good quarterback. Quarterback you can'tprotect, and so they're gonna they're never
gonna block anybody. They had aworse record with the forfeitcher in conference than

(09:41):
they had last year under Mike Sandford, the interim coach. And it's not
gonna end well, this is notgonna end well. This is gonna end
with allegations, bad feelings and morescattered people and players and coaches like the
Tower of babbl What he did tothat guy, Sean Lewis is resounding,

(10:03):
resounding, and and now he's downat San Diego State as their head coach.
I mean that resounded like a likea vesper chiming throughout college football to
treat assistance like that. And thede coordinator, Oh, you should have
never looked him in the eye whenthey were walking out the hallway supposed to
ride the ground. That was aproblem. Uh So, I don't know
what RG three. I mean,I'm not as great as RG three is

(10:26):
at anything, obviously, but you'rewrong. Find Bomb's right. They're not
relevant. It's a sad situation andit's not going to end well. But
if you can get some eyeballs inSeptember, because you go to campus at
Colorado State and ask real football playerswho work hard and say things like what's
it going to be like to beon the field with coach Prime and shadoor

(10:48):
f you buddy, you guys aren'tthat good? An FESPN for puzzo riding
that was based Matt based. Thatwas a great that was that was based
sweet, I stand that. Here'smy number. Number of the day.

(11:09):
Number of the day is hundreds ofmillions of dollars. The NFL does not
like to conduct its business in public. They have been forced for air or
dirty longs exactly. They have beenforced to do so repeatedly with the Sunday
ticket lawsuit that is now in theappeals portion. And because the Packers are

(11:31):
a public team, they are forcedto do their business in public every single
year because they are publicly owned,so they have to report their finances publicly.
And because the NFL is the onetrue national league where basically ninety percent,
ninety five percent of your revenue isnational. It is not at the

(11:54):
local level, because everything is revenueshared, one true shared, one true
model, theistic God. Yes,the God, the shield and you are
all part of the congregation. ThePackers reported their earnings from the twenty twenty

(12:15):
three campaign, and it's quite startledlyfour hundred two zero point three million dollars
in national revenue, which means ifyou split it, or if you multiply
it by thirty two, that's abouta thirteen billion dollar rake for the NFL,

(12:37):
that's sure, which probably under thespanos family paid for a facility.
Finally, right, let's bring itin. Four hundred million dollars the salary
caps like, I don't know, two hundred and twenty five million right around
there for just players. So prettynice bit of cushion for staff and facilities
and all that sort of stuff thatyou got to pay for. They're last

(13:00):
year the packers for operating a teamin Green Bay, Wisconsin. Sixty one
million bucks is a profit. Putthat in our pocket. Take it home
for the year. Would you makethat to the carnival? Sixty take it
to the freaking carnival, Take itto thebes exactly. So congratulations to the

(13:22):
NFL cashing in on Taylor Swift andTravis Kelcey cashing in on streaming companies paying
a hundred million bucks for a singleBlack Friday game. And here's to them
trying to expand their revenues even moreby adding an eighteenth game and every team
playing internationally somewhere, which will probablyincrease their revenues by another half a billion

(13:46):
dollars or something. Lightweight hilarious moneyemojj emoji. Right, this is the
song of the day. Beechwood Sparksare a local band who present our song
of the day called Gentle Samurai.New music is what you're listening to from

(14:07):
the forthcoming record titled Across the RiverStars that'll be out this Friday. It's
the fourth full length studio album andfirst in twelve years for the Burbank born
band. That'll be playing at theiconic nineteen twenty two Masonic building turned music
venue, the Lodge Room in HighlandPark on Saturday, the twenty seventh of
July. Yeah, that's the date. It's brand new music from Beechwood Sparks.

(14:31):
Enjoy Thank you Runny day? Isthat it's on a Saturday? Are
you in No? You dogged meout on camera, Obskira, how gonna
deprive myself this show to show youand teach you un listen? I would
go, but qleens Reich is intown that day. Ooo. Now,

(14:54):
Matt, you got yourself a partner? Want to lessen to Beechwood Sparks.
But I could enjoy Silent Lucinity.Uh you think that'll sell out? Nah
Na? What about the Beechwood It'sgood beer, Like I gonna have time.

(15:16):
I have time. I have likea week to mull it over,
don't ironic? So yeah, Yeah, you got a week. I think
Adam might be on board. We'llsee you dissed my boy Terry the camera
obscure concert. How dare you?Ronnie? Oh you're forget the invite?
Is Terry? Uh? Opening forBeechwood Sparks. No, Miss Terry is
performing at a day Let's go theLove of my Life. She plays a

(15:41):
beautiful piano. She does Matt,we got the Bachelorette report. Can't wait,
Jen Tran, Yeah, this isuh. I mean, I'm trying
to keep it simple because it's Adam, But I could have had like twenty
clips last night and kept it goingthat good. We got a good year.
Well, you know, when allthe people are together and hateful,

(16:03):
it's always it. Got a toolboxthis year, less clips, but they're
much longer. Okay, less ismore, is what you're saying. Yeah,
see you have some good stuff. There's actually some husy stuff in this.
I see he likes it. Seeeverybody at the lodge room. Don't
bring heroin best say check in Inthe next segment, he has got off

(16:27):
night Dodger Talk Tonight eighty six pmat the Rock and Bruce can't wait to
see everybody there. We got livemusic, which is always fun. It's
a rock and Bruce I requested thatthe band cover a song. They're working
on it. I may have beenin my cups during the request, but
it's still a very important song tome. Well, you gave them an

(16:49):
option, you sent two. Isent two, So we'll see if they
can figure it out. Well,if they can't, they're working. If
they can't, I'm leaving throw ahuge you guys do the show. I'm
gonna throw a huge fit. I'mgonna flip the table and call somebody a
prostitution or like the New Jersey Housewivesand stomp out of the room. Speaking

(17:15):
of horse what, what are yousuggesting that gen Tran as a whore?
Look, she may have talked aboutnot having the love of her father growing
up, but that doesn't just makeher a horn what haw? Low key

(17:37):
rad last night as fully functional employeeAdam, a younger man would tell you,
it's time for the Bachelorette report.Night two of The Bachelorette. The
Vietnamese Gen Train from New Jersey, very progressive Matt the very first ever Asian

(18:02):
bachelorette. Yes quite certain she isage interesting. Though they didn't want to
go through the whole. You knowhow we always talk about it, like
when the season starts and they're inthe Bachelor mansion in the aight oh five
that burned down or something a whileback during COVID, and everybody sees the

(18:25):
lighting go up in the eight ohfive and they know that the Bachelor's being
taped again. And it's usually rightat the end of the last season with
all the shows going on. Anyway, this year they did the entry show,
the first night thing, and thenalmost immediately they left. They they
left the country road. Yeah.Usually they hang out or like do some

(18:48):
kind of like speed lunking or repellingthing in a building downtown, or they
go on a helicopter ride to Catalinaor something. You know, they do
some local date thing and or agroup date or like something dumb and really
staged with some actor who's La based, right, And they didn't do any
of that. They didn't do anypromotion of any kind. They just went

(19:11):
straight to Australia. Here she istrying to act all Australian in Melbourne.
I'm in Australia. We're international. We're not in La anymore. Baby quikey
good. I might I'm at thecity of Melbourne in the state of Victoria,
and it feels like a freaking tree. This is crazy, like this
has never happened before. We've nevertraveled this early before. And you know,

(19:32):
the way to really get to knowsomeone is to travel with them.
So excited for this week. I'meighteen guys here. My men are very
very hot hereby let's go courik I'mvery excited about my very hot, hot
met Melbourne is like the complete vibecalled Melbourne. It's not called Melbourne,
it's Melbourne. Okay, That's whatthe Australian said. There's so much of

(19:52):
everything here at the culture scene, the cityscape scene, the water scene,
the kangaroo see it's all vibing andI'm vibe well, that sucks. I
like this chick before she talked,I can't say it out crikey anymore.
And I always loved saying crikey whenwe talked about Australia the beginning for him
again, listen to you with amelbourand now the crikey. I'm in Australia,

(20:18):
We're international. We're not in Laanymore. Baby hrikey, good die,
Mike, good die, Mice putanother shrimp on the Bobby put another
swimp on the baby. Mate goodmight also says Cheerio Australia. Oh it's

(20:42):
not Melbourne, it happened, that'swhat they say. I'm not very very
hot baby, let's go croaky.I'm very excited about my very hot hot
match. Melbourne is like the completeviel Melbourne. It's not called Melbourne,
it's Melbourne. Okay, that's whatMelbourne is, like, the complete vibe.

(21:03):
All right, I'm vibing we hadWe didn't use that one, Matt.
That's a young people word vibe.Anyway, they go to Melbourne,
they do a group date at theVictoria Market or whatever, a weird comedy
show. Blah blah blah. Thisguy, Devin from Houston is sweaty but

(21:25):
confident, and he took her awayat the marketplace and all the guys get
kind of mad, and one guyin particular, a guy from Tulsa wearing
pearls literal pearls like not puka shells, pearls, a pearl necklace like Jock
Peterson. We remember we had theguy with the big flooney earrings a couple

(21:49):
of seasons ago. Remember that,Yes, this guy is got he's the
pearl necklace. I got a pearlnecklace. I think his name is Aaron
and he does not like Devon fromHouston. Now, Devon's a little bombastic
in kind of a loud mouth.But I mean, I don't get it.
Uh. These guys just keep goingback and forth and it's very awkward.

(22:10):
I believe this is their very firstconfrontation. Like the Bob Marley album
cover. I'm just trying to talkto you, man a man about like
the seriousness of this. In myhead, I'm like, how serious is
Dylan the Devon? But I mean, but on your first conversation, I
mean, how deep are you goingto get? I mean there's no like
in my mind, I'm like, you pulling Jen's side, taking away time

(22:32):
from me. Is like I don'twant you wasting Gen's time either. No,
never, I would never do that. You feel like you're good for
Jen. I mean I wouldn't behere if I didn't think I was be
fit for Jen. I think youfeel like you're ready. I just feel
like I'm understanding more about Jen andshe doesn't want to be with a boy.
I don't think I'm a boy andover the top major that you see,
that's your lens. But I'm nothere saying that your way is wrong.

(22:55):
Your way is right. So Idon't think it's fair to say that
my way is wrong. My wayis right. And he just jumped in
the front of line h And it'snot necessarily a convenience thing. I mean,
I think that there is opportunities inlife that that you can take to
to make something of yourself and andand show that you have that initiative and
drive. I don't feel like you'reready for someone like Jen, because Aaron

(23:15):
is not talking to Jen, andI think that he's thinking that if he
just sits by and his lax andcool and is wearing pearls, you know
Jen's gonna pick him. I'll say, I haven't seen you take charge.
And I don't think that she wantssomebody that's gonna sit around and focus on
what other people are doing, youknow what I mean. I just doubt
your intentions. So it's like, when I see you getting the most time
with her, I'm like, he'skind of wasting her time. But that's

(23:37):
your question. I don't think sheneeds you to assume or talk about that
on her beat. I don't seeit. I'm not gonna lie in time.
I don't see what you manifest. The thing is like delusional. I
can't wait for you to come toa wedding and find out you're that confident.
I'm always that confident. Shoots ashot, bro, I'm shooting.
You don't like the way I shootit, though. That's space dumbest conversation

(24:00):
I've ever heard. Well, ithappened five more times, like it kept
happening. He would go take heraway from him, and then he would
come back and take her away. This guy Devin kept taking her away from
everybody. Well, not really,I mean he's just more assertive. I
mean that's what people do. Theythey encourage you to do that. They
encourage the other people to get pissedabout it, and then they encourage you

(24:22):
to fight about it or have weirdconversations about it so they can actually have
content. God the whole you're nothere for her. You guys have met
her for like five minutes. Idon't think I doubt your intentions. Matt.
Yeah, I've heard you talking.I heard you talking on this show,
and I don't like your stuff,and I don't think she wants to
I don't think she wants to wouldbe with the boy wearing pearls you know's

(24:45):
gonna pick him. I'll say,I haven't seen take charge. So that
happens, and that just keeps happening, perpetually, over and over and over.
She goes on a one on onedate with an army ranger guy,
the guy who blew up and andnow his new mission is love. Guess
what they do? They skydiveh Yeah, well there you go, which is

(25:07):
just like being in love, Matt, taking that step, that leap into
the abyss, not knowing what's goingto happen, putting your life in another
person's hands, putting your heart ina woman's bosom. That's what love is
all about, not this porn thatyou guys watch with the bang bang bang
bang. Okay, it's about takinga leap, takes a step. It's

(25:30):
not about your fapping videos. Kids. Uh, that's what the kids say.
FAP. That's the sound you makewhen you master me. Fap,
fat fat fat am I right?Insurance, adam, insurance, Yeah,
Reddit, Yeah, who's your fault? Where do I read it? I'll

(25:53):
fap you. You read it already, fap, everybody read it it's a
sight so sites with no fapping andwhat Yeah, it's bad fap, no
fap, all right, moving on, So this is what happens, and
I'm gonna try to set the stagefor you. There's another group date,
right, Okay. The group dateinvolves everybody standing there with weird Australian wildlife

(26:15):
and doing like a quote unquote photoshoot mal but yeah, mal Ben.
But she's gonna pick one guy fromthe group date and they're gonna have like
a one on one kind of thing. So that happens. Okay, So
the guys from the group date goback to the house and they're like,
listen, we didn't get any timewith her, so can we make an
agreement that the cocktail party before therose ceremony did we get ample time with

(26:38):
her because we didn't get any time. And it's like, dude, this
is no right. We cannot makean agreement. F you figure it out.
And that guy Devin is just likethat. He says no and he
goes and talks to her first. And then there's this other guy, Asian
Tom oh At Asian Tom. Well, there's another Toms so at Asian Tom

(27:08):
is really upset, like really upsetthat Devon cut in front of the line.
Is the other time white Tom orblack Tom? I think he's white.
Okay, there's two black guys, but three black anyway, Matt,
it's early. You know. Ittakes me a little lot of dudes,
eighteen of them, because that's howyou get to know your mate. You

(27:30):
travel with eighteen dudes that want toget in your pants to Melbourne to melt.
Stand there with a furry tarantula onyour shoulder. But let's hear Asian
Tom versus Houston Devon over Vietnamese Jenfighting in what looks to be a beautiful
garden in an Australian castle. Onething that I don't tolerate is disrespect.

(27:52):
So I needed to take a littlebit of time to step outside before I'm
punching in the face. Dude, you embarrass your you mbars yourself. You
ruined her night just after putting thatin your mouth saying you're gonna make it
a good about her. Go inside. No, Tom, you're making a
fool of your Tom. You madea fool of yourself. I'm over here
talking to a man and man awayfrom Jen. Old man has is his
word, and he said one thingto really guys. They went back.
Eighteen guys just sat in there, said I was exactly who I was since

(28:15):
I walked in. Yeah, youthrow the drinking me. I mean,
come on inn okay, We'll hereto fight you. I'm here to talk
to you because you will get yours. Congratulations, you got me. So
you told eight men just one thingthat you would Adam. Tom is about
five to four Devin probably six twosixty three weight classes. They're there for
a reason exactly you get your andthat's a little guy said you get your

(28:37):
hash. Okay, you got it. Tom, go ahead and continues go
inside. No, Tom, you'remaking a fool of your Tom, you
made a fool of yourself. I'mover here talking to a man and man
away from Jen old man has ishis word, and he said one thing
to really guys. They went back. Eighteen guys just sat in there,
said I was exactly who I wassince I walked in. You throw the
drinking me. You come on in, Okay, we'll here to fight you.
I'm here to talk to you becauseyou will get your ask. Congratulations,

(29:00):
You've got me. So you've toldeight men one thing that you would
be resuspectful Thomas, Thomas, canI can I break it down to you?
Please? I'm not gonna talk.I'm not gonna talk when I tell
people go inside. I like itout here. The good weather's good,
he's good. I would like youto come stay out here, come talk
to me, Like, dude, are you that insecure that you can't have
a conversation, especially when you're embarrassingyourself in front of this girl that you

(29:22):
say you want to marry? Whodoes that? He made it nothing about
her and all about him in thatmoment. How come you didn't come up
and asked to take time from Jen? How come you made it strictly about
me in that scenario you pulled measide and said, I need to see
you right now. Shut them up? Literally, bro, you you are
just talking. You've been embarrassing yourself. You've been embarrassing you. Literally,

(29:47):
Yeah, Tommy, Tommy, gentlemen, But unfortunately the cocktail party has come.
Do a that. Yeah, bitches, bitch here match you just call
me a bitch? No? Yeah, go inside then, bit so there

(30:08):
you go. Can you find thatagain, Adam? Can you find the
going? My TVA cut off beforethe highlights for next week. So I
don't know what's gonna happen. We'rejust gonna row dog it like the kids
say, we're just gonna row dognext week's episode. Bitch, Hey going,
So I don't want to go there? Did you swallow a bitch there?

(30:30):
But yeah, it's like pulling yourbitch punch? All right, bitch,
all right, all right, Iguess we're not gonna get it.

six to two pissing everybody off?Devin, Devin bitch mab we'll be back.

(30:55):
Yeah, that's right, because Ihave to cut your ass. But
favorite fast, right, just geta choice. It's next bache che Yeah,
okay, Stan, you're doing bitch. Stan, you're doing bitch.
I would like you. You're doingbitch. I would like you bitch,

(31:18):
bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch,
bitch. I love it now thelikes of rapid fire. Bitch.
Bitch. Don't pull your bitch punch. Say with your chest, bitch,

(31:45):
mitch, stand up and say itwith your chest. Stan, you're doing
bitch. I would like you.Okay, good, stand you're doing bitch
I would like, bitch, saylive from the coast next Friday. Set
your schedule, take the day off, a half day, get out of
work early, call in sick.It is a three to six pm show

(32:07):
at the Rock and Brus and ElSegundo this Friday, corner of Maine and
Franklin, giving away Dodger tickets,a five hundred dollars living spaces gift card,
Rock and Brew gift cards, anda whole host of other on site
prizes. Plus you could be ourthird of eleven finalists to have a shot
at eleven thousand dollars. At theend of it all, no Dodgers for

(32:30):
the immediate future through Thursday. They'llbe back in action on Friday. But
that does not mean there is noDodger Talk tonight. Pe Now we got
Dodger Talk. David Massy's got JakePeve and somebody offered somebody else from the
Dodger beat world, and I justthought it echoed in my head. You
know, guys, any who Isaid, no, just call Vassa on

(32:53):
vacation, call up Vasse, hithim up, let's go. Let's do
it. He's got Dodger Talk tonight. We'll put him on anyway, the
Home of the Dodgers with an insidelook at the Dodgers. This is the
Vassie Report with David Vasse and TiOScar Matt. You know, Taoscar Discar

(33:15):
comes through with the victory and thehome run derby, something we've never had,
not let alone on the Dodger stationin the Dodgers history. So it
is David Vasse, our number oneguy Lawyers, Dodger reporter, MLB Network.
His black balloona is flying around wildand free during the All Star weekend.

(33:39):
You see him on Spectrum Sports inthat La putting in work with Joe
Davis and Ral And here he ison your Southern California Toyota Dealer Celebrity hotline.
Hello Dave, Hello guys, thanksfor thinking of me. Appreciated.
Were you happy about theo Scar? Were you riveted by it? Did you
enjoy it? Or were you eatingshrimps with your wife by the beach?

(34:04):
No, No, I was watchingit. It was it was a little
bit longer than it should have been. I feel like it may have not
kept everybody's interest for the entire derby. But Taoscar Hernandez is a great guy.
He's a great teammate and very happyfor him. And also Dino Ebel
being his VP thrower, He's experiencedin these things and that's why ta Oscar

(34:25):
chose him to throw to him.And he might have been a difference maker
for TiO Oscar, especially in thatlast round the Royals BP pitcher for Bobby
Wit Junior felt like his heart wasn'tin those throws. Like Dino was very
much invested with tai Oskar. Heshould have got Bobby Wit. That would
have been pretty sweet, Dave.I believe I've asked it before, because

(34:47):
the guy's had obviously a ridiculous firsthalf of the season. He's an All
Star. How did the Dodgers getthis guy for one year? I mean,
knowing how important power bats are inmajor in the major leagues, how
did they land that deal for thisguy? Yeah? To me, it's
the best under the radar signing ofany team in baseball. Ta Oscar Hernandez.

(35:10):
He was unfortunately a product of thissuppressed market or depress market, however
you want to look at it,or however you want to believe it took
place. But he was the hitterthat really did not get as much as
he probably should have on the openmarket, and the Dodgers took advantage of
a guy that was still on themarket, laid in the off season,

(35:35):
and scooped him up, and herehe is has the most home runs and
RBIs of any player or any outfielderin the National League. And yeah,
to me, it's the best signingof any team, any player during this
offseason. Ta Oscar Hernandez, theOne and only David Vase live from an
undisclosed beachside location, enjoying the AllStar Week festivities. Dave, you know,

(36:02):
there's a remember the threat level.I think it's still a thing with
all the different colors and all that. There's a lot of panic and a
lot of feeling of trepidation when itcomes to feeling good about the Dodgers,
especially with the way that they've beenplaying the last couple of months, as
you've pointed out, very mediocre.Do you think we'll see a different kind

(36:22):
of vibe on this team or asense of urgency when they come back,
or do they not worry about thatkind of stuff the way we do on
the radio? No, I feellike that's a debate that I'm hearing about
more and more. Petros a littlebit more urgency, and also the chemistry
on the team is starting to becalled into question, right, you got

(36:44):
to have some chemistry like we saw, you know, the Phillies have during
that home run derby. We sawa lot of teams have that type of
camaraderie that some are wondering about theDodgers. And you know, it's hard
for me to really put a fingeron whether or not this group is as
tight as it was, say intwenty seventeen or twenty eighteen. I could

(37:04):
tell you it's probably not, sincethose guys went through a lot of heartache
with each other and came up throughthe system together basically. But for this
team, there's a lot of guysthat have a lot of talent, and
we're going to see what they're madeof with all this adversity they faced on
this last road trip and really theadversity and the test that they're going to

(37:27):
face coming out of the All Starbreak, because you're not going to snap
your fingers and have all these guyshealthy on Friday Night against Boston. A
lot of these same pitchers are goingto be out, and a lot of
these same players are going to beon the roster, So how are they
going to look at themselves in themirror individually and collectively when they resume and

(37:47):
regroup as a team on Friday night. It feels like that's going to be
a pivotal moment when the Dodgers reconvenedat Dodgers Stadium day, we were we
got into this yesterday. You know, you look at this year and then
you kind of look down the road, and when I look at next year,
I see Tyler Glass now Sho HeoTani Yamamoto. And if Gavin Stone

(38:09):
continues to pitch Gavin Stone in thatrotation, how much like how much are
they willing to give up for apitcher knowing that there's probably going to be
high demand, Like what are theytrading for at the deadline for what might
be one year, might be multipleyears when they've already got one hundred plus
million dollars in the rotation for twentytwenty five And don't forget show Heotani.

(38:30):
Right, Yeah, you're gonna haveOtani probably in that rotation. And there's
also speculation they're going to sign anotherJapanese pitcher named Sasaki coming out of Japan.
So yeah, their rotation is prettyfull. And that's why, you
know, I firmly believe that WalkerBueler might be a piece that Dodgers do
entertain trading because they more than likelyare not going to resign him. And

(38:54):
a guy that they're looking at isa guy that's going to help him this
year and next year, and that'seither Garrett Crochet or Trek Scuobel of the
Tigers. And I feel like younamed off all those names and I added
a couple, But haven't we foundout that a lot of these guys don't
last the entire year. So youmay think the Dodgers have more than enough

(39:15):
for next year in the year after, but they thought that going into this
season as well, and they're scrappingup Landon Knack and having River Ryan supposedly
being called up after the All Starbreaks, So there's a lot of different
things that go into you know, not ignoring a player like Trek's Scoubel or
a Garrett Crochet. The Dodgers areall in this year, so that you

(39:37):
just said it, they're all inthis year. Do you think that was
always the plan or was it moreof a hey eltaniumly back on the mountain
next year? We'll get some ofthis stuff figured out. Do you think
that shifted primarily because that dude's having, you know, a historic year for
the Dodgers right now, and youcan't afford to write a year off.
Well, I'm one hundred percent surethey did not envision Yamamoto having a serious

(40:02):
century after just two months in hismajor league career. I'm definitely certain they
thought Bobby Miller was going to takea step forward and not regress. So
all these things have played into themhaving to shift what their focus and attention
is. There's no guarantees with alot of these guys that have questions surrounding

(40:22):
them. The one and only DavidVssey one of the questions surrounding him.
Dodger Talk has Jake pev tonight fromthe m L Beat Network, does the
does the All Star Game? Daveas a lifelong Dodger fan or baseball fan,
I should say an afficionado, doesthe All Star Game still give you

(40:43):
a little tickle in your pickle ornot? That gives me a little tickle?
It does? It gives me alittle tickle. There's not been as
much offense your pigs to be No, just just a whole body tickle.
How about that a whole body tickle, So I get tickled to get a
little chill. The introductions are alwaysgreat. Hopefully the anthem singer is a

(41:06):
little bit better tonight. But yeah, the whole pageantry game. Yeah,
but I thought the game at DodgerStadium that was really special. Having the
game at Dodgers Stadium, when youhave it at those type of venues,
historic venues, to me, itadds to the All Star Game rather than
having it in a stale place likelow blight Field. Last thing, Dave,

(41:30):
I think they STERI more sterile thanstale. Well, it is the
home of the Dodgers World Series championshipin twenty twenty, so maybe there's a
little true, a little bit ofromance there. Last thing for me,
Dave, for the folks that area little bit on the younger side,
because you know our audience, wereally speak to the teenagers just as a
young as a young boy, Dave, as a youth, your memories of

(41:52):
those great Dodger All Stars, particularlyif you're old enough to remember the great
Steve Garvey All Star performances in theAll Star Game back in the day.
Yeah, he was the king ofthe All Star Games back then, he
won the All Star Game MVP.He was written in as a as an
All Star in nineteen seventy four.I don't think anybody ever has done that

(42:15):
before or since. My favorite AllStar memory is Mike Piazza winning the All
Star MVP in Philadelphia, of allplaces, at Veteran Stadium, a place
that Tommy Lasorda would bring him outwhen the Dodgers came to town and let
him shag and let him take BP. So all those things the great David
masse. Enjoy your vacation Dave, and have a great Dodger talk tonight.

(42:38):
I don't know how those eat twothings mix, but hey, enjoy it.
I help you find a way patRose Underson away just like you guys
do we? Oh, we suredo, Dave, There's no doubt about
that. Maybe you found your ownway. Are you gonna go my way?
Is the question? Because I gotto know you. Yeah. Save
it for the tour. What tourtoday? At three the World Tooling.

(43:01):
Thank you, David Hm
