little wacky with the clock.

Well late late doctors appointment with Elatrosse, very interesting conversation.
We got a debt and alive in we played the

(01:50):
Today is Donald Duck Day. Yeah, Donald Duck Day.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
I've been walking around with uh with no pants on
all bag.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
You know why it's Donald Duck Day. No, Because in
nineteen eighty four, on the fiftieth anniversary or birthday, whatever
you would like to call it of the introduction of
Donald Duck, the Mayor of Los Angeles, Tom Bradley, Oh
from Wacks, declared June ninth as Donald Duck Day and
(02:24):
it has held nationally internationally ever since.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Listen Bradley we'll give you your lifetime past to Disneyland,
but you've got to do us as solid.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Today it's Donald Duck day, all right.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
We've been working on this for the last three mayors.
They've all turned us down.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Donald Duck is, without a doubt, I think number one
when it comes to like the real seminal Disney characters.
I take Donald over Mickey every time I relate with
him better.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
You know.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Yes, he's out of control, he doesn't know what's going on.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
He's torn by his nephews.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
I always like Goofy, but I'm a stupid man.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Well, I mean, we all love Goofy. Everybody loves Goofy,
but you know, I mean it's one thing. You know,
the Goofy football is pretty good, but just overall anger
and insolence.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Ronald Duck to me.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
All right, And he comes from comes from royal background too.
He's got an uncle that's a duke. As a matter
of fact, yes, I discovered that as well while researching
Donald duck funfacts.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
His uncle. He's part of the peerage something.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
His middle name is faunt Leroy, named after her his
duke faunt le Roy Duck of an uncle. So there
you go.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
The duck of death. All right, it is time for
the number of the day.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Well, number of the day is eighteen, as in eighteen
million bucks. That is what the Rams still have under
the cap. They can spend an extra eighteen million dollars
on players that are currently not on their roster if
they want to add some salary to their roster on
current players by redoing deals. They can do that to
make room for next year. But of course, with eighteen
(04:12):
million bucks and arguably the greatest defensive player, it's almost
hard to say arguably the greatest defensive player of his era,
Aaron Donald sitting out there waiting. Adam Schefter, the king
of all NFL news per agents or front office folks,
said today that it is more likely than not that
(04:36):
Aaron Donald will play for the Rams.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Oh my good season.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
He is thirty five.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
He ain't going to Australia, Matt, don't.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
I don't think he's going to go to Australia. I
don't know why he would want to sign up for that.
But he, of course is probably in better shape than
I'd say at least fifty percent of the NFL players,
probably more. Jared Verse said he got invited out to
his house one summer to work out with him and
he'll never do that again. That it was the most
intense one.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I don't remember that. Yeah, I mean he's a hardcore guy. Yeah,
I'm so.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
They've got eighteen million bucks.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Now.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
For those that think about the age, he just turned
thirty five, so it would be his age thirty five season.
Khalil Max just turned thirty five and last year was
playing some of the best football of the last five
years of his career. So I don't think it's that.
I mean you think about Kalais Campbell, who's now playing
into his late thirties. I mean, these dudes that are
really really good can probably get after it, and it's
(05:37):
not as big of a deal for guys, you know,
as it is for guys that aren't really really good.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Why would you want him around if he wasn't really
really good, Yeah, you wouldn't. You wouldn't bring him out
of retirement and bother with it.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
I think the idea of Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett
and one of them is not being double teamed on
a defensive line. It's quite exciting. So see whether or
not Schefter is right, But that is what he said
earlier today. More likely than not, in the Rams are
presenting him with an idea of how they would use him,
(06:10):
and I think that's probably part of it.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
P you hit on it.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
You don't have to go to Australia. And of course
they have a pretty deep defensive line like that whole
front is pretty darn good. Poona Ford, Braden Fisk, Kobe
Turner certainly three legitimate starting defensive linemen to go with
Miles Garrett and Byron Young on the outside. So maybe
he doesn't have to play as many snaps he can
(06:33):
rotate in with those three guys. But it does sound
like that it's not just a thought of wow, why
wouldn't this guy want to play with Miles Garrett? That
it is actually something that is now being discussed inside
the building and they're trying to put together a presentation
for why he should do it.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
All right, well, we'll be back on tomorrow and it
will start at one o'clock. Enjoy the game, everybody. We
will be on a flex again tomorrow once again Paul's
schemes Pitching a Night versus lour Dodgers Pirates. Thank you
