I know in pro boxing for you for the last

really light little gloves, so it probably doesn't feel like
there's much on there anyway, But.

When your bare knuckles, what makes it different? How different
is it?
Speaker 2 (12:51):
No, it's actually you know, it's it's it has a
similarities and it has its differences, especially with the fact
that BKB brings action. In the senses of there it's boxing, bro,
I can grab you and lock you up and use
my other fist. I would like go at it with
someone like Floyd with that, you know. But anyway, regardless
of you make it a good thing. Like in the

senses of man, it's just action pack bro. Like I
experienced my first time going to an actual professional match
in Connecticut, and wow, man, it was just it was
a beautiful thing to watch. Because you're so used to,
you know, with gloves on, you kind of semi expect
that maybe he's not gonna go down, maybe he's gonna
buck a little bit.

I had a chance to watch you in training camp
in Auxnard. I live on thousand Oaks, so eight o
five and so right, that's right, and so to see
you train for the Mayweather fight, and so it was
an open camp and going there to watch how you train.
How is the training for something like this different from
back then. Do you train what's the biggest difference between

I think the biggest difference for me realistically was doing
grappling and doing um wrestling because it's dirty boxing. You
don't know what these people have up their sleeves, you know,
so just gotta be ready and have everything in the arsenal.
As far as boxing, it's you know, it's it's semi
you know, the same, I mean, minus the gloves, you know, Yeah,

it hurts a little more.

Yeah, I was gonna say, because I think, you know,
one of the big concerns would probably be the cuts
as well too, Right, do you cut more with.

you get your hands ready?

working on a post that was hard to kill. Yeah,
I mean that's you know, I'm like, how do you
how do you get your hands your body ready for
something that is is different from what you've done for
so many years?

I had to reach out to certain friends of mine,
Polymna Naji Austin Trout and he bro like, so how
do you hit you know, or just because me. Right
off the bat when I knew I was fighting BKB,
I was training without gloves right off the bat, and
I was like, oh, you shouldn't do that. But it's like,
you're not me bro like, So I made sure my
my fists were ripped completely, and I'll do it again

and again and again, and here we are. I mean
I would go to the ocean too, and you know,
get into the water and then of course hit some
of the sand and whatnot.

But now we're they're pretty solid.

I mean, hey, you know what, he's nothing short of
a champion man, and that's I've prepared for the best
Dominius Stacilo possible. You know, I know he's had his
reign too in the boxing ring, in the boxing world,
fought many great fighters as well.

I know what I'm I'm signed up for.

You know, I prepared for the best version of someone
like Dominique Stacila, And you know what, We're ready.

And I would imagine just all the experience you know
we talk about, you know, whether it's Burdo or Mayweather
and all these guys that you fought on all these
big stages. To be able to bring all of that
to this fight, got it. You gotta feel like you
got the advantage in that regard, right.

I Mean, there's you can think all you want, but
the fight night comes, It's like Mike Tyson said it
best everybody had the plan until you get puns in
the mouth.

But I know that I've done everything that needs to
be did at the boxing gym, at the at the
mats for for uh training wrestling, for for grappling.

So I've paid attention to my coaches.

so we're ready to rock and roll.

I know every fighter is different and every athlete is different.
I come from the perspective of football. I've worked in
football for many years, and I played college football, and
I always remember, you know, we would come out in
all our pads and we'd all be in the tunnel together.

And we go out and we play.

And I learned about fighting, not how to fight really,
but learned about fighting when I became when I got
done with football, and it really struck me how alone
you guys are, Like you're naked to the world in
some shorts and it's you versus this guy, and you're
a pro.

You know what it's like.
Speaker 5 (17:39):
And I can't imagine, like just the build up for
like running one hundred meter race while you're all alone
by yourself. What is the build up you know, to
know that you're fighting in a few days, and how
do you handle that over the years, as you've matured
as a person, It's it's got to be something you
really have to emotionally tame down just to live your life.

Yes and no, I think I I was told one year,
and I don't think I was told one year you
got to find your comfort in chaos, and I believe
that's what it's been, you know, and what gives me
comfort God Jesus, my three boys.

With those, I'm them, Okay. You know, I know that
I put in the work. I know that I've sparred
my rounds. I know that I ate correctly, like I
enjoyed my tacos and I've been kind of staying away

But on June third, nineteen eighty three, Gordon attacked his
seventy one year old widowed mother with a hammer and
then fatally stab her with a butcher knife.

he was just falling orders. Now, that's bad.

similarities and it has its differences, especially with the fact

my other fist. I would like go at it with
someone like Floyd with that, you know. But anyway, regardless
of you make it a good thing. Like in the

experienced my first time going to an actual professional match
in Connecticut, and wow, man, it was just it was
a beautiful thing to watch. Because you're so used to,
you know, with gloves on, you kind of semi expect

I think the biggest difference for me realistically was doing
grappling and doing um wrestling because it's dirty boxing. You
don't know what these people have up their sleeves, you know,
so just gotta be ready and have everything in the arsenal.

you know, the same, I mean, minus the gloves, you know, Yeah,

I know every fighter is different and every athlete is different.
I come from the perspective of football. I've worked in
football for many years, and I played college football, and
I always remember, you know, we would come out in
all our pads and we'd all be in the tunnel together.

And we go out and we play.

And I learned about fighting, not how to fight really,
but learned about fighting when I became when I got
done with football, and it really struck me how alone
you guys are, Like you're naked to the world in
some shorts and it's you versus this guy, and you're
a pro.

You know what it's like.
Speaker 5 (17:39):
And I can't imagine, like just the build up for
like running one hundred meter race while you're all alone
by yourself. What is the build up you know, to
know that you're fighting in a few days, and how
do you handle that over the years, as you've matured
as a person, It's it's got to be something you
really have to emotionally tame down just to live your life.

Yes and no, I think I I was told one year,
and I don't think I was told one year you
got to find your comfort in chaos, and I believe
that's what it's been, you know, and what gives me

years were way better, get just way better. I mean,
you had what eat disorders, Screech was developing a porn habit.

We all enjoy the high school years, but you didn't
