Oven plus, also a five hundred dollars item, the cap'n
Cook Oven plus and a two hundred fifty dollars barbecuees
(03:07):
Galore gift cards. So quite a bit to give away,
and of course a lot of add ons. We almost
had too much stuff, too much good stuff to give
away this time. As you mentioned Pete Brewery ax in Anaheim.
We've been there before. There's a reason why we're going back,
massive outdoor space and to tie up some live music here.
We're gonna find some in person guests. We're gonna feel
(03:28):
real good about this broadcast. A week from this Friday, July.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Tenth, Matt's been working on the phones. All right, it
is time for one of the headlines. I'm not letting
this go.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
What should the headline be today? Sports?
Speaker 3 (03:44):
That's all we think about. Here's the Yebow story.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Nobody's talking about.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
You know, I'm not a racist. I mean, I hope
you do. He's a bad headline. What are the headlines, Matt?
Every day it's getting closer, coming fast like a roller coaster.
The Kelsey Swift wedding in Madison Square Garden is this
(04:09):
weekend and it is starting to be un hideable in
midtown Manhattan. Matt, exactly what you feared. Yes, it's and
you never got an invite. Just to show what a
loser I am.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
A big loser.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Everybody knows, Matt. Over seventy detectives detectives not retaicops, detectives
like Dirty Harry and Chuck Bronson, real police officers. Seventy
pulled from precincts city wide to handle the wedding. To
(04:51):
detect for what to detect? What if there's a threat?
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Oh, I guess that's fair. I mean it's certainly. I mean,
what wedding have we had in the last ten years?
Speaker 3 (05:06):
They need seventy detectives in the United States.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Yeah, in the United States. Obviously, you know the royal
weddings are in the comable.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
But fifty additional officers. Matt not detectives, just normal rank
and file, including recent academy grads coming right out of
the academy like Tackleberry and Mahoney straight to the Kelsey
Swift wedding. Eight and a half hour shifts Matt ninety
(05:34):
bucks an hour. Geez estimated costs for right there. Estimated
cost for the NYPD rehearsal plus ceremony one hundred and
sixty thousand dollars.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
I would assume, Hey, that's absurd, and I would assume
that they're paying for it.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
They're not. What do you mean they're not. Lockdown and closures.
Streets around msgill be closed on July second. You're gonna
need a permit. A full city block lockdown is planned,
similar to if a high profile dignitary like bb Net
(06:16):
and Yahoo or something visits. NYPD was briefed on a
potential influx of Swifties, paparazzis, and onlookers. They've also called
in the National Guard come on reports of National Guard
presidents Presidents for at MSG have been happening all week.
(06:41):
Semi trucks have been positioned to block the views of
the loading docks and entrances. Black mesh tarps wrapped around
barricades and entrances to hide decorations and set up Nobody
that works at MSG can have a phone. Nobody that
works in the corporate office of MSG is allowed to
(07:02):
come to work this week. Every invitation to the wedding
is individually watermarked with the guests full name repeated faintly throughout.
To trace any leaks. Guests must sign the electronic non
disclosure agreements. Guests reportedly are not required to sign film releases,
(07:29):
but there have been some reports And Matt, your favorite
thing in the world is happening in New York right
now around Madison Square Garden, the Taylor Swift, Travis Kelcey
hobo sweep. Oh yeah. They have sent two hundred social
workers around Madison Square Garden to do a homeless quote
unquote outreach to remove the hoboes. When called out for
(07:53):
this pointing of the finger by judgmental people like us,
the Sophie Cunningham finger point, look at you clearing the
hoboes for this elitist wedding. Look look what you're doing.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
See see we got live sound from actually a PMS
listener who just said to me, of the hobo above,
the hobo round them is a hoble free ring.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Now I don't see a hobobo in safe.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
They really did it in the clean this place.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
So I'm happy to call it home.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Good with these with these people.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
They're saying, we're not clearing the hoboes because of the
Kelsey Swift Web. We're in here clearing the hoboes because
of the heat wave that's coming. And we don't want
these hobos to die on the street like dumb on
the sidewalk. And a lot of people are saying that's bs.
There's heat waves, there's snowstorms, there's all kinds of stuff
(08:57):
in them. Why are they laying on the concrete in
Washington Square? Her part cooking like frid Aggs. Then the
battery puck happened to like this boogh happened to like
this town. So that's the latest in New York. If
you were a hobo laid out in the gunner thinking
(09:17):
that your homelessness, your homelessness was going to be your
ticket to the wedding. Sorry, you're going to Washington Square
to fry like Canadian bacon.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Then'll pull this off. You need cateringe, you need people
to help you get this thing going and to work. Yeah,
how have we not heard about like some bakery or
something got the men in Black thing?
Speaker 3 (09:41):
So everybody's having their memory erased the second half.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
I mean some cook somewhere as a leaked to his girlfriend,
who told somebody on Twitch, who then posted it somewhere
and said, oh, yeah, we're making three thousand cupcakes for
you know, this big wedding at MSG.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
One of the one of the finest bakers in New
York was found murdered. Not it could be those lips man.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
So if they're building a castle right inside of Madison
Square Garden, they're like, she's like gonna come out of
some princess castle.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah, right now they have a thousand Somalians building it
out of sugar cubes. It's brilliant, just remarkable.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
A bunch of Chinese children are doing all the electrical.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
I happen to like this town. So uh, we're we're
on top of the Swift Kelsey wedding like nobody else.
And you know what, I'm proud of us. We're gonna
we're taking it all the way right, We're gonna cover
this story all the way to the top. All right,
we'll be back with the top story of the day,
more Laker talks. Sondheimer said, it was okay today, don't worry.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
This is Petro Send Money on to Mad Demand.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Thanks for listening, everybody. Petro Send Money Show on AMPHI
seventy LA Sports your home of the Dodgers, Dodgers A's
tonight and coming up at five on AM eleven fifty USA,
Bosnia Herzegovie And don't forget. Second stop of our summer
(11:13):
tour is Friday, July tenth, a week from Friday at
Brewery X in Anaheim for a post Fourth of July
party at the Petrosen Money Show. You're not gonna want
to miss that. We're looking forward to that. But right
now it is time for the top story at top
story of the day.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
Well suck, it's sandy. We still got today, and we
can keep talking about Lebron James for a brief moment.
Nobody cares about Kawhi Leonard, who's in the conversation as
one of the all time great shippers.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
But you know, as you pointed out Matt yesterday. You know,
at least we know where Kawhi is going. True, you know,
it's solid, it's tangible. But Lemon names is just floating
around in the ether.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
And when you got someone floating around in the ether
when it's the cloud and not linear.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Oh, people love it. Everybody gets to speculate.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
Right for days. Don't care about Jalen Brown and his
spray painted head. It's Lebron.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Watch.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Let me ask you something. If people think that Lebron
kind of just showed up yesterday with his guy Rich
Paul and said to the Lakers, Hey, guys just want
to you know, free agency is about to start. I
want to let you know. I think it's best we
go our separate ways and I'll let you guys kind
of figure this thing out in free agency. I'll figure
(12:31):
it out my way. You're asking me, Yeah, you know,
like I'm just want to give you guys the heads up.
And then less than twenty four hours later, they consummate
a trade involving four draft picks and sign three players
in the span of thirty five minutes. Just feel like
Lebron was the one that broke the news that they're
going to be going in a different direction than the Lakers,
(12:51):
and they can go ahead and start getting after it
with the free Agentcy doesn't feel like having a fly
guy out from Utah sit with them yesterday and try
to get three contracts done with different agents. That maybe
that was the side.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
It feels like now now that like we had our
entrepidation because of the Mark Spears report, right, which has
been debunked and clowned and destroyed. But I think that
you're right, We were all right. It was hard to
It was hard to commit to it because you wanted
it to happen so bad at the time.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
Yeah, we wanted to protect our emotions.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Yeah, you wanted it too. Excited about this. Yeah, it's
like you know, watching the soccer shootout or something. I
think that all of this was figured out this time
last year. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Right.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
They didn't do an extension with him. They took Luca
on the date to see the Backstreet Boys. He met
the Backstreet Boys, and they told him he wasn't going
to have to deal with He wasn't going to have
to live in Lebron's kingdom for only one more He
was only going to have to do one more year
in the kingdom. That's it as a surf kingdom is crashing.
It's there's an uprising. We will be exiled, if you
(13:58):
ask me like, it'll be a peaceful exile. Though, looking back,
it seems pretty obvious that this was all figured out
quite some time ago, and you laid out a good
reason as to why. Yeah, and there's many others.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
I am quite shocked. It's wild how this is. It
felt like it was a party, as you mentioned yesterday,
you know, we had the dance party, go on the
block party, and now today on the social media, it
feels like there is quite a bit of negativity. Maybe
it's too many white guys.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
I don't know that actually that is I've heard a
lot of that, a lot of white guys that's not
happy with whites. Yeah, And even even a white guy himself,
a guy I know, said that's not Look at all
those whites.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
All those whites, they're exciting. These whites are exciting. Now.
They could have run it back if they brought back Lebron.
That was pretty much the only option. You bring back
Marcus Smart and Ruye and DeAndre Atenless goes on and
on a team that beat a miserable Houston bunch that
had zero chemistry all season and Kevin Durant pretty much
(14:57):
was not available at all for that series. And I
guess you could look at that combined with the run
that everybody was celebrating in March. Even I celebrated it
for a moment when they went sixteen and three, they
went healthy. This was a really good team. Lebron has
embraced this third guy behind Reeves and Doncia, but fools gold,
fool's gold. Lebron and Anthony Davis went into postseasons as
(15:17):
two of the best three guys on the court in
nearly every series, and they managed to get out of
the first round once and their final four years together,
and that one that they got out of they were
swept by the Nuggets.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Swept.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
Now, was it the most competitive sweep in the history
of basketball?
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Yeah, apps, But.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Again I've said it repeated. When you're having a goat discussion,
I don't know what world you can say. This is
the greatest player ever. And over a six year stretch,
he missed the playoffs once, lost in the first round
three times, and was eliminated by sweep in two others.
Six years, two sweeps, three first round losses, one missed playoff.
That guy's the greatest to have ever been.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Now that was all everybody else's fault, though.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Exactly, And that's all everyone is bitching and moaning and
complaining about the whites. And this is this is what
we're going with. Please keep that in mind. Put it
in perspective. Six years, two sweeps, three first round losses,
one missed playoff. You know, I don't like what we
(16:19):
got instead of what we had six years. The last
six years is what we were talking about. It was not working.
I tipped my cap to Mark Walter and the new
ownership group for empowering the front office to not have to,
you know, worry about being the group that said, yeah,
we we're not even gonna try to sign and trade him.
(16:40):
We're just gonna let him walk, get nothing for him.
We'll figure it out. And that's what they did. And
there's two ways of looking at this. One. You moved
off Lebron at a bunch of white guys.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Quietly, A Lebron guy, yeah, quietly, quietly, a Lebron guy who.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Knew quietly, a Lebron guy wietly, an anti nck cronin guy, yeah,
which I have a problem.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
I got a problem with both. Maybe the Bron thing more. Actually,
for a guy that has a Magic Johnson jersey in
his foyer, it's very ot Well.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Magic Johnson's the one that got Lebron there.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Oh, that's probably why he likes him. So there's that
way of looking at it. Really, no Lebron and White Guys.
Reeves gets his Max Deeal Walker Kessler costs two first rounders,
two swaps. They handed over fifty two million dollars to
Sandro Mamo Kalishpieli. He will be known as Mamu moving forward.
White Guys. Instead of Marcus Smart, they get Quentin Grimes,
(17:40):
one of the great names. Instead of Luke Canard, thank you,
they went with Colin Sexton. Smart a way better defender
than Grimes, Grimes a better offensive player than Smart, Canard
a better shooter than just about anybody in the league.
But Sexton's still forty percent from deep damn good numbers
when you're playing off Luca, and of course the shot
creation he provides. But the big one is of course
(18:02):
the most exciting of the whites. Walker Kessler a very.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Doe white Well, and he's named after a whiskey and
and uh and Brandon and a brand Noah, a Scotch,
Johnny Walker and then Kessler.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
Smith very white. That is not koonyak fus, not just
whiskey and scotch. Okay, what is Kessler? It's funny you said,
I'm pretty sure it's a Scotch.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Is it smooth as silt? God, it's gross. It's a blended.
It's a blend.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Yeah, it's like your crown or something's a uh, it's
a blended whiskey with a very white a white man's
profile with a very prodigious mustache. Mister Kessler, mister Julius Kessler,
a well known businessman in the Old West who originally
sold whiskey door to door to saloons, Walker Kessler. He
takes a shot of the two wise men, Johnny Walker
(18:59):
and Kessler.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
You don't get the jack and gym with him. Look,
he's one of the biggest guys in the league. Oklahoma
City and Wemby and the Spurs set the standard. They
set the bar. If you don't get there, your toast,
and we set it. Going into the series against the
Thunder After the Lakers were able to escape the Rockets.
How do you beat the defending champs? Well, history told
us controlled Chet and win the bench points battle. You
(19:24):
do that, you can win. You don't, you're gonna lose.
Look at what san Antonio did that the Lakers did.
Homegroun was an animal against the Lakers, ate them alive,
swept the Lakers against the Spurs. He was so bad
the talking head Shows said he needed to be traded
if this team was ever going to be able to
get by Wemby again. Enter Doe White Walker Kessler seven
(19:46):
foot seven oh two five seven foot in a quarter
inch without shoes, seven four to two five wings span
nine and a half inch standing, reached two hundred and
sixty pounds. Those numbers are all top ten in the league.
Very very very few guys in the league are over
seven feet without shoes. Chet is the exact same height
(20:06):
seven oh two five, wingspan a bit longer, seven to
six standing, reach nine to six a bit one inch taller.
But Kessler sixty five pounds heavier, and he is not
a stiff sorry Chris Dudley type and a white big guy.
He is a walking double double. He shoots seventy percent
(20:28):
from the floor, plenty good enough from the free throw
line seventy percent at his size, one of the best
offensive rebounders in the league four point six per game
the last two season. The only mark better than him
another exciting White, the Kiwi Steven Adams at four point seven.
Add in the two and a half blocks per game,
and instead of playing on a Utah team that averaged
(20:50):
twenty two wins per season in his four years, he's
gonna be running pick and rolls with Luka Doncic, a
guy that got people all excited about the future of
Derek Lively at the center spot in Dallas Kessler, he
gets one of the great rim protectors in the league.
Not a guy that's going to be cherry picking at
half court and leading the league in transition points.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
At his age, leading the league in transition points. How
does Lebron do it? He's just so, He's so athletic.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Kestler is a great paint defender, and again in the conversation,
is the best offensive rebounder in the league. And this
team was twenty ninth in offensive rebounds last year.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
I wonder why. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Maybe it's because four guys were in the paint and
one guy was standing at half court waiting to win
the transition point battle. His two point four blocks per
game or second behind only Wemby's three point one. I
would guess DeAndre aid eight and is headed somewhere else
in a trade, or maybe they're comfortable pan and eight
million bucks as a backup, but maybe you move him
(21:50):
to a team that needs a five and you get
a wing defender in return. In a vacuum, or all
of these signings put you at Collins, Quinton Grimes, Mamu
and the trade for Walker Kessler. Are they put you
over the top, You're gonna win a championship. No, but
(22:11):
we're not operating in a vacuum. We are operating on
a team with one of the three best players in
the league, someone over the last six years, who has
consistently been one of the three best players in the NBA,
not just a one season. Wow, this guy really kind
of stepped up this. You know, Luca has been All
first Team NBA five of his six years. He took
(22:33):
a Dallas team to the finals, and they beat everyone's
ass on their way there, Clippers and six Thunder and
six and the conference finals. They hammered the Wolves in
five before succumbing to the Celtics. A team led by
Luca had a very good Kyrie irving twenty two and
five assists. But after that PJ. Washington, Derek Jones Junior,
(22:54):
Daniel Gaffer, Josh Green, Derek Lively. That's their top seven.
Not much better, if at all. Then the squad that
the Lakers are going to put out there twenty six
and twenty seven, Luca was much like we just saw
what Jalen Brunson, the driving force that carried a team
(23:14):
to the finals. In the case of Brunson to the title,
but in the case of Luca to the finals behind
twenty nine points, ten rebounds, and eight assists, nearly averaged
a triple double in the postseason. Only he and Kyrie
averaged over twenty points per game in the playoffs, and
they only had one other player in double figure scoring.
So don't look at it as there's a lot of
(23:36):
white guys or Quinton what Colin Sexton who they are surrounding.
They're doing exactly what we had hoped they would do.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
This is what you said, Matt, Yes.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Following the blueprint of the Knicks, whatever it costs draft
capital money, figure out what fits best around your super star.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Well, look, if I want to say too many white guys,
I'm gonna say it, and it's not you. You're not
gonna be able to say. Don't say it. Don't say
because I'm still gonna say it. Don't say it. In fact,
when you say it, it makes me want to say it.
Don't say when you say, don't say it. Come on,
don't say it has that opposite effect. Oh, don't say
it too many whites. Sush there.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
I'll close with this. I don't I honestly don't care.
If they brought Carmelo, Anthony and Tracy McGrady and John
Stockton out of retirement and Westbrooks and Russell Westbrook, the
fact that Lebron James is not gonna be here next year,
all of these signings should be celebrated. And if he
(24:45):
ends up going to Golden State, which is kind of
what everybody believes is going to happen. Uh, if you
tell me, I get to pick a starting five of Luka, Doncic,
Austin Reeves, Walker Kessler, The Whiskey Whiskey, Grimes and Mamu over,
Steph Curry, Pajemski, Draymond Green, Anthony Davis and Lebron yet
(25:07):
give me that Lakers. I will gladly cover this Lakers
team every day moving forward instead of that one up North.
Congratulations to them for without saying it showing. It's kind
of our decision to.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Yeah, getting out from under the shadow of the crown.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
It's kind of something we were into. It wasn't really
his idea, it was ours, but we let him have
that moment yesterday.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
And I do have bad news. Mister Beam owns Julius
Kessler unfortunate. We'll be back with more we have dead
and alive, and then we will get to more great
sports talk after that. Quick Hits and fun fact.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
On air at Ami LA Sports and on demand I
mean Ihearts Radio Way. This is the Petros and Money.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
You are one of the kind, hosted by Petros Papaday
guests left school after sixth grade. Look at them and
the voice of the Bolts not Money Smith. The answer
is money. There is nothing you can do. You know
it's coming. This is the Petro Send Money Show.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
On the home of your world champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Make us your top preset on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Cracking Everybody, Welcome back, it's Petro said money and tonight
I'm living in a fantasy, my own little nasty world. Hey,
I'm eleven fifty Matt Bosnia, West Covina get Levi Stadium
and it's Team USA and it's a few minutes away.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
We are your home of the World Cup. iHeart So
whether you want to listen to it on AM eleven
fifty if you have the iHeart app, the iHeartRadio app,
it is available on there as well. You get those
Fox broadcasts audio if you are not able to get
yourself to the Telly. And as you said, Peic gets
underwage just after five pm, so top of the hour.
We'll be going to Dodger Baseball coming up at the
(27:04):
bottom of the hour. Dodgers on deck at five thirty
in that first pitch just after six forty pm, see
if they can sweep the West Sacramento is Nobody likes
it there.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Nobody likes it there, especially since there's no media seating
for David Masse in the minor league stadium. That is
a big and you know, all the seats don't even
face the fight freking hole.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
What is this home?
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Ron Hill Stupid? Nobody likes it. It doesn't it so
what it's picked. It's only five thousand, all right, It's
time for your dead guy Birthday of the Day and
it is British News.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Four PMS, British News, United Kingdom, English News.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
It's time for British News.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Cheeriot get out.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Today we celebrate a guy who won a BAFTA, an
Academy Award and a Grammy. Would have been one hundred
and twenty seven years old today. Oh he got the bag.
The bag, Matt. Maybe he's probably too old if won
in a Golden Globe. But one hundred and twenty seven
(28:15):
today is Charles Lawton from Scarborough, North Reading, Yorkshire. A
young man who grew up in a hotel. His family
ran a hotel, went to Stonehurst College, fought in World
War One and was gassed. That's bad, by the way, guys,
(28:39):
it's really bad. Okay, yeah, that is bad. After the
war he worked at his family's hotel and then he
went to the Royal Academy of the Arts and became
a West and London theater champion. Lawton transition to the
movies in the nineteen twenties made his big international breakthrough
with the Private Life of Henry the eighth and won
(29:01):
the Academy Award for Best Actor. He did dozens and
dozens of movies matt but the most notable as Captain
Blyh in nineteen thirty five's Mutiny on the Bounty. Oh,
hell yeah, Quasimoto in nineteen thirty nine's The Hunchback of
Notre Dame.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Oh that's this guy.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Yep, Javert in the nineteen thirty five version of Le
miz Well of a loftim, solidifying himself as, without a doubt,
one of the twentieth century's best actors. It was a
role of electime. But why do I know Lawton because
of this movie? One of my favorites, the greatest court
(29:41):
drama of all time nineteen fifty seven's Witness for the
Prosecution as the barrister Sir Wilifred Robarts. Here he is
cross examining Marlena Dietricht, who is a German whore, Missus.
Speaker 6 (29:59):
Rowe or missus Helm, which st you prefer to be called.
Speaker 7 (30:02):
It does not matter, does it.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
In this country we are inclined to take a rather
more serious view of marriage. However, prow Helm, it would
appear when you first met the prisoner in Hamburg. You
lied to him about your marital status.
Speaker 7 (30:16):
I wanted to get out of Germany, so you lied,
did you not? Yes?
Speaker 6 (30:20):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (30:20):
Or no?
Speaker 6 (30:20):
Please?
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (30:22):
Thank you? And subsequently, in arranging the marriage, who lied
to the authorities?
Speaker 7 (30:27):
I did not tell the truth to the authorities? You
lied to them. Yes.
Speaker 6 (30:32):
And then the ceremony of marriage itself, when you swore
to love and to honor, to cherish your husband, that
too was a lie.
Speaker 7 (30:38):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (30:39):
And when the police questioned you about this wretched man
who believed himself marriage and loved you told them.
Speaker 7 (30:46):
I told them what Dlennard wanted me to say.
Speaker 6 (30:48):
You told them that he was at home with you
at twenty five minutes past nine. And now you say
that that was a lie.
Speaker 7 (30:55):
Yes, a lie.
Speaker 6 (30:56):
And when you said that he had accidentally cut his wrist,
again you lying, yes. And now today you've told us
a new story entirely. The question is, fraul Helm, are
you lying then? Are you lying now? Or are you not?
In fact a chronic and habitual liar?
Speaker 3 (31:21):
My lord, is my learned friend to be allowed to
pulley and insult the witness in this fashion? Mister Myles,
this is a capital charge and within the bounds of reason.
Speaker 6 (31:30):
I should like the defense to have every latitude. My lord,
may I also remind my learned friend that his witness,
by her own admission, has.
Speaker 9 (31:42):
Already violated so many olds.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
I am surprised the testament did not leap from.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
Her hand when she was sworn here today.
Speaker 6 (31:51):
I doubt if anything is to be gained by questioning
you any father, that will be all frau help.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Were you lying then? Were you lying now? Or are
you not a chronic and habitual lah uh? He directed
one movie, Robert Mitchum's Knight of the Hunter, not well
received at the time but now revered as one of
the greatest noir classics ever. Married his whole life to
(32:23):
one woman, but, like most of us, had a few homosexual.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Affairs, certainly understandable.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Charles Love, you know.
Speaker 4 (32:33):
You're alive. Guy. Well, we we went down to say
we're driving down the same road. I too went with
a thespian mine alan ruck.
Speaker 7 (32:43):
Pardon my French, but.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
You have absolutely right, sir.
Speaker 7 (32:50):
You've hit the nail right in the head.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Find out much she is.
Speaker 7 (32:53):
This isn't over yet. Buster, Do you read me.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Loud and clear? Mister Peterson, call me sir, good, Yes, yes, yes, sir, yes, sir.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
That's better.
Speaker 9 (33:05):
When you just mind your p's and q's, buster and
remember who you're dealing with.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Bueler Ferris Bueller.
Speaker 7 (33:14):
Now I'm a little scared because what if he recognizes
my voice?
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Possible?
Speaker 4 (33:18):
You're doing great?
Speaker 8 (33:19):
Yeah, Roone, Oh ROONEYE, calm down, just a little office difficulty, sir, Rooney.
Speaker 9 (33:42):
I don't have all day to bark at you, so
I'm gonna make this short and sweet. I want my
daughter out in front of the school in ten minutes
by herself.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
I don't want anybody what just too suspicious? Who thinks
something's up?
Speaker 4 (33:56):
Cover it? You talk?
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Fu right? Run?
Speaker 9 (34:04):
Yes, yes, I changed my mind. I wonder you what
in front of the school with her? I've locked up
a few words with you. By god, on second.
Speaker 7 (34:16):
Thought, we don't have time to talk right now. We'll
get together soon.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
And we'll have lunch. How best?
Speaker 1 (34:21):
Hell's wrong with you?
Speaker 7 (34:24):
Wait?
Speaker 4 (34:25):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Where's your brain?
Speaker 3 (34:26):
Why'd you kick?
Speaker 7 (34:27):
Where's your brain?
Speaker 8 (34:28):
Why don't you kick me?
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Where's your brain?
Speaker 4 (34:29):
I asked you first?
Speaker 3 (34:32):
How can we pick up Sloan if Rooney is there
with her?
Speaker 1 (34:37):
I said for her to be there alone? And You Freaked.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Born in Cleveland, father a pharmacist, mother a school teacher,
went to the University of Illinois for drama just like
Keaton Woggler. However, he graduated and hit Chicago, got some
stage roles in nineteen eighty three and incredibly underrated opportunity
that has been celebrated in these parts. Opposite Sean Penn
(35:04):
and Bad Boys, he was in The Brat Pack, also
incredibly underrated film class with John Cusack and McCarthy as Roger.
Back to the stage in eighty five, and that is
where he connected with Matthew Broderick and Neil Simon's Biloxi
Blues on the stage. That pairing, of course, led to
John Hughes casting the pair in As You Just Heard
the Cliff Ferris Bueller's Day Off. He was Cameron. A
(35:26):
lot of folks thought he was type cast and that
led to his lack of roles thereafter, but not so
much a lot of films, just not leading roles. He
was in Young Guns, two Speed Twister, Cheaper by the Dozen,
landed a popular role with The Trekkies and multiple Star
Trek films as Captain Jonathan Harriman. But of course his
(35:47):
most famous role, maybe even more famous than Cameron, is
as Connor Roy, the son in Secession. Won two SAG
Awards for that one, nominated for an Emmy and Golden Glad.
He is in four movies this year Wide Variety. Is
in a comedy with Sharon Stone, Mark Maron and Michael McKeon.
(36:08):
He's in a horror film with Arquette and a drama
about the history of the Hershey Company. He's playing Henry
Hershey opposite the Di Dario, that lady that was in
The True dedectivey.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Yeah, the Big movie. Yeah, I don't know. I don't
know which.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Arquette though, Rosanna.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
Okay, I mean there's a few, Matt Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Not Patty Rosie. He is in three episodes of the
new HBO Steve Carell Show. If you like uncomfortable, uncomfortable comedy,
you probably love Rooster won two Saga Words like I
said for Secession Mary Twice two kids had a wacky crash.
You may remember, like three years ago he lost control
(36:47):
of his car and flew into a pizza joint.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
In La he is, Oh, I do remember that?
Speaker 4 (36:52):
Ye? That was kind of wild. He is a seventh
was it a Ferrari uh, he is seventy years old today,
Alan Ruck.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
All right, we'll be right back with more Petro send
money on AM five seventy LA Sports. Alan Rock. A
lot of people don't know played Doug Stevens, the Tim
Kates traffic character in Speed who died in the in
the on the road, right right. That's where Tim got
that name because he figured the guy's dead already. Doug Stephens,
(37:23):
he used the first death in Speed on the bus,
wasn't he?
Speaker 4 (37:26):
He was exactly right? All right, little fun fact before
the fun fact.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
Now that that's cleared up, Doug Stevens, that's pretty good.
We'll do the fun fact, and we'll do the quick hits,
and then we'll get you to the game USA Forever
