more ethnic last name, and he changed it, he cut it,
but now I think he's starting to reintroduce.

to make a great event. So it was very special.
I enjoyed a delicious cheeseburger that they make out there
nice at the Brewery x Anaheim. I feel like you
would really like the Brewery x Anaheim. I think I
bet you I would. Ronnie would probably really like it.
We should maybe arrange for him to be at one
of them. At that point.

the Tipsy Goat and I was like looking over at

Well, I was just like, they don't need us, Like

that place the night before Thanksgiving. Oh, that turns like

Now, yeah, see the Tipsy Goat seemed like, you know,
that was like a place where you might pick up
some stragglers. But I have to admit I was at
the Brewery X the other day and in Anaheim, and
we were talking with the people there and they said
that it's and we always fill it up and there's
great amount of people that come there and it's always packed.

Not uncomfortable, but it's packed. They said it's standing room
only two nights a week, and they put it up
on big screens for Love.

Yeah, that's where the Mexican dudes go to get to
find that tort does. And I asked the guy said,
it's like, you know, shooting fish, and a barely said
it's more like fishing with dynamite. I mean, I used
to think, you know, great sports to a lot of
these venues needed great sports talk, but it turns out
they don't. They just need to open up and serve

beer and liquor, and young people find them. They might
not even need great sports talk at all.

Now, we will have one more event this summer and

don't want to play pro football anymore. They love playing

Maybe a little bit, but you just don't want to

go to camp, and in camp, not just because you
have to move out of your house and you're put
in an uncomfortable situation. And that used to be fun
when you're younger, right, But the older you get, the
less out of your routine.

Well, camp is so little now for NBA teams, it's
like four days. It used to be camp, like my
camp was a week long of two a days like that.

The NFL is like four weeks and now they.

Might be a week, but there's no double days anymore.

It's all that has changed, and in college that has changed.
But the interesting thing about camp in the NFL, and
I remember this really with Tony Gonzales because he used
to be around a little bit and he was a
cow when I played there, is they just I mean,
this guy's one hundred years old, he's really good. He
still plays at a very high level. Travis Kelsey would
be in this same team, same position. He would be

in that realm where they don't want to go to
install like they don't want to see because in football,
I don't know how they do it in basketball, but
in football, you reinstall the offense every single year. You
put in zone run, you put in everything because people
are new and you ask people and you're expected as

a young person to catch up and learn the terminology
and stuff like that. But they still do a full install.
They install the offense, they install the defense. It takes weeks,
and then they do the specialty stuff. Here we are
in the red zone. This is what we're like on
third down. This is what we're like coming out of

the end zone. This is what we do on the
right hash. I mean, it never ends. And I think
these guys that have been through that every single year
of their career, they can't sit through that. They like
to wait till that's over. And you see it all
the time and he's like, oh, he's in shape, he's

When we played we played Uh, we had Hugh Jackson,
who was our offensive coordinator went on to be in
a very unaccomplished NFL head coach. But Hugh jack at

a Dorsey High a longtime college football coach and pro
football coach. He was our offensive coordinator at USC and
we were playing Cal, and Cal had a guy believe
his name was Andre Carter. He was a top pick
in the draft for a rush. He was a DM.
He came off that left side and here's your left tackle,

and what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do?
And what you really want to do in a perfect
world with your quarterback, Carson Palmer is dropped that big,
beautiful quarterback back seven steps, survey the field work progression
and distribute the ball. And what you want is for

that left tackle to block that DN Andre Carter one
on one and handle him. Now, when it becomes clear
that you cannot do so, how many times do you
want to allow your tackle to be embarrassed out on
the island and your quarterback to be destroyed? And the
answer for huge accident in that game was something like ten,

Like I'll never forge like watching Andre Carter get drafted.
The entire highlight tape was against USC and I remember
going in the locker room at halftime and Hugh Jack
was like, well, you just got to block him, And
it's like, well, no, they have things in football and
they're very prevalent. It's called turn protection. So you basically
turn the whole offensive line to that guy. So you

call the play to the right, but the whole offense
like a two jet would be the name of the protection.
Two is an even number, which means it goes to
the right, but the line to them that means we're
all going to the left to freaking block this guy.
We're all going over there to build a wall, and
you know he can't get all the way around because

to that guy, and then the back me the idiot
back there cleans up. If the mic backer comes on
a blitz or a strong side, somebody's got to pick
them up because that leaves them. And there's techniques, I

I mean, I remember, I mean Cornelius Bennett was different,
but I remember when the Buffalo Bills had Cornelius Bennett
and Bruce Smith and it was just like, oh my god.

of stuffed Neil Smith and Derek Thomas when they both

I did go out. I've been to one Summer League
event when it was at the Pyramid, back in the
days of Mary Hanks coaching a team in the Summer League.

And I went to go visit the Summer League at
the Pyramid and saw like Pig Miller and like people
like that. It's much different now in Las Vegas have
you been keeping up with it because the young guys
were out there? Yeah, the BANDSTA and all them guys.

It's funny you say that because when we do our
pre draft, obviously all the agents are in and out
throughout the process. But I've grown this stable. I guess
you would say of kids, younger guys, either managers at
schools for basketball teams or video guys that helped me
during the pre draft, and they all go to Vegas
and every one of them, daughter, are you going? The

answer is no, why not? I don't need to go.
I can watch the guys. I'm interested in guys I've
had the last couple of years that are playing summer
league to see how they do. We had a couple
of guys that were rookies last year that came back
this spring to get ready for summer league. So I've
been interested in how they're playing. But yeah, there's no
(29:35):
reason for me to go. When was the last time
you went?
Speaker 1 (29:39):
A few years?
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Oh, it's been a while, ten years since A Wow, Yeah,
there's no reason for me to go. You know me,
pe I'm I'm at the stage of my life where
I really enjoyed doing pre draft, but I'm not trying
to get a job out of this. I'm not trying
to like get a job with an NBA team, And
that's all it is is networking out there.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
You don't want to hang out with world Wide West.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
No, I mean I know all those guys and they
know that I'm not interested. I'm not trying to get
another job out of this, which most guys that do
what I do are, and so there's no reason for
me to be there. But what's interesting to answer your question.
The thing about Summer League to me, and this isn't
(30:19):
absolute or across the board, but if you go to
Summer League and you're really, really good as a rookie,
that means there's a very good chance you're going to
be a very good NBA player. If you're not good
as a rookie, it doesn't mean you're not going to
be a good player, But if you are, that pretty
much dictates now went in there and went crazy the
(30:41):
most important time as a young NBA player, especially if
you didn't play as a rookie. If you played a
lot as a rookie, you're not playing Summer League going
into your second year anyway.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
But if you didn't play a lot.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
If you don't do well in summer league after your
rookie year, it kind of a problem. And if you're
in Summer League after your second season, going into your
third year and you're still playing in summer league, that's
a problem.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
So for the people that draft these guys and invest
all of this and have made this decision, and everybody's
thinking about it, you don't think about Woggler and anybody
else this how they play in the summer league. These executives,
they have their butttholes pretty pretty tight.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
The second year, the first year look like Woggler, you
can tell by his body type he's going to be
a very good player. But because he's not physically strong yet,
and guys are beating them up.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
And that's the other thing.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
When you're the fifth pick in the draft, all these
dudes at play overseas that have been professionals for eight
nine years, they're like, Okay, you're the fifth pick in
the draft. Let's see what you got. So they're going
after him. And that's why I said, it doesn't mean
if you don't play well as a rookie, you're not
going to be a good player. But like the Bonza Peterson, Boozer,
Caleb Wilson. They've already shown that they are going to

be very very good NBA players.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
What about the kid that's always hurt Peterson's.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
He's really really talented. I mean, he can really score.
I'm telling you though, after watching this, and it's a
small sample size, but this Caleb Wilson, I think is
going to be something else like Perennial All Star. Not
that those other three aren't, but this kid, just my

experienced eye test looking at him, I think he's going
to be a superstar at some point.

Interesting. But not the kid that's going to the Clippers.

I think he will see And that's what I'm saying, Like,
I think Woggler is going to be a very good
NBA player. I think his ceiling is high, but he's
got work to do and it's not going to be
immediate like the Bonds is going to be. Peterson's gonna be,
Wilson's gonna be Boozer. But that doesn't mean in a
year or two he's not going to be a very

good But again, after your rookie year, going into your
second year, you better be like the best play like
a great example. Kid we had last year out of
Yukon Lee McNeely. Charlotte draft him late in the first
which we thought he was going to go higher. Didn't
spend some time up this year, but was mostly G League.
He is crushing the summer league this year, which is

a great sign for him.

How much does the NBA, these franchises, the agencies that
you work for, how much do they How much leeway
do they allow for the fact because we say people's names,
and we watched highlights and you watch games and yeah,
I know the defense a guy, I've seen him, you know,
I get it. I know his story a little bit.
But like he's nineteen years old, Like that's a nineteen
(33:47):
year old guy. How much of that comes into play
when these guys are talking to these guys, the decisions
they make. How mature are these dudes expected to be
at nineteen years old?

They are because they've been stars for a long time.
And the best example I have because he was in
our gym for two summers before the draft and then
he was there for the pre draft and he's younger
than Trent Cooper flag Like that kid had played so
much basketball, and Trent.

Is don Son, who plays at Saint Mary's and Trent's
going into his sophomore.
Speaker 5 (34:19):
Year redshirt freshman year.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
But yes, Cooper Flag is younger than Trent by like
four months. But Cooper had been in the spotlight for
so long that even him being eighteen or nineteen, it's
like he's twenty four or twenty five because of all
the experience he's had dealing with media, dealing with everything
that comes along with basically being the number one player

in his class since he was fourteen or fifteen.

Pretty tough. Yeah, to be nineteen and have that.

Much well, and he had a great rookie year, so
it doesn't it doesn't FaZe him any of this stuff.

got up early with Trent, worked him out on the court.

And then we had a open house and our friends
the Churchill Shannon and Neil. Their daughter Makira just graduated
high school and is leaving this week for Belmont to

I didn't know they had a college down there on
second Street of Bobbach.

Yeah, And so.

Stayed there for a couple hours, had a good time.
And then at night our friends the Andrews, Jeff and Beth,
which is really interesting. Janney, you're not there yet. Yeah,
you're not there yet. But we're friends with a lot
of our friend couples in town because of our kids
and kids sports and kids' activities.

That's how going back. Yeah, shit at a baseball game
for three hours.

Going back to like when they were five and six. Well,
they started this party last year because all of our kids,
most of our kids have all turned twenty one. So
now the party and it's once a summer is for
parents and kids. Sounds pretty exciting, but not like a kid.
You know, like used to go to kid parties and

they'd be like cake. Right now, both are the same.
Everybody drinking games, all the stuff, beer pong, all that stuff, Like, Mom,
you want to vide katonic? No, sweetie, I'm having an
apparrel sprints. So it was actually a really good time
and uh we uh we stayed probably longer than we
should have.

But what was interesting to finish out that night is
our good friends the Homes. They have three boys like

out with them, was like two guests who drove us
home on Saturday night.

Like that was an eye opening moment for me and Brooke, Like,

Of sake, uh and we polished that off pretty nicely.

Ate a bunch of sushi. We had a nice charcooterie board.

the one of the snacks there for everybody to indulge in.
While we were having a good time with good conversation
and watching the Argentina Switzerland game, having a great time
with everyone there. Argentina cheatadh, Yeah, did they cheat, Zach,

for Karen Hall or fiftieth nice lovely, lovely time. And

I went to yesterday, I went to yoga, and then
I went to the Beach Hut, which is a Hawaiian
breakfast restaurant that used to be in Hermosa that moved

went over there and I was alone. It was excellent.

And then I went over to the H Mart, which

have to move out of your house and you're put

Well, camp is so little now for NBA teams, it's
like four days. It used to be camp, like my
camp was a week long of two a days like that.

The NFL is like four weeks and now they.

It's all that has changed, and in college that has changed.
But the interesting thing about camp in the NFL, and
I remember this really with Tony Gonzales because he used
to be around a little bit and he was a
cow when I played there, is they just I mean,
this guy's one hundred years old, he's really good. He
still plays at a very high level. Travis Kelsey would
be in this same team, same position. He would be

in that realm where they don't want to go to
install like they don't want to see because in football,
I don't know how they do it in basketball, but
in football, you reinstall the offense every single year. You
put in zone run, you put in everything because people
are new and you ask people and you're expected as

a young person to catch up and learn the terminology
and stuff like that. But they still do a full install.
They install the offense, they install the defense. It takes weeks,
and then they do the specialty stuff. Here we are
in the red zone. This is what we're like on
third down. This is what we're like coming out of

the end zone. This is what we do on the
right hash. I mean, it never ends. And I think
these guys that have been through that every single year
of their career, they can't sit through that. They like
to wait till that's over. And you see it all
the time and he's like, oh, he's in shape, he's

When we played we played Uh, we had Hugh Jackson,
who was our offensive coordinator went on to be in
a very unaccomplished NFL head coach. But Hugh jack at

a Dorsey High a longtime college football coach and pro
football coach. He was our offensive coordinator at USC and
we were playing Cal, and Cal had a guy believe
his name was Andre Carter. He was a top pick
in the draft for a rush. He was a DM.
He came off that left side and here's your left tackle,

and what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do?
And what you really want to do in a perfect
world with your quarterback, Carson Palmer is dropped that big,
beautiful quarterback back seven steps, survey the field work progression
and distribute the ball. And what you want is for
(23:24):
that left tackle to block that DN Andre Carter one
on one and handle him. Now, when it becomes clear
that you cannot do so, how many times do you
want to allow your tackle to be embarrassed out on
the island and your quarterback to be destroyed? And the
answer for huge accident in that game was something like ten,
(23:47):
Like I'll never forge like watching Andre Carter get drafted.
The entire highlight tape was against USC and I remember
going in the locker room at halftime and Hugh Jack
was like, well, you just got to block him, And
it's like, well, no, they have things in football and
they're very prevalent. It's called turn protection. So you basically
turn the whole offensive line to that guy. So you

call the play to the right, but the whole offense
like a two jet would be the name of the protection.
Two is an even number, which means it goes to
the right, but the line to them that means we're
all going to the left to freaking block this guy.
We're all going over there to build a wall, and
you know he can't get all the way around because

we're all you know, so you turn the whole protection
to that guy, and then the back me the idiot
back there cleans up. If the mic backer comes on
a blitz or a strong side, somebody's got to pick
them up because that leaves them. And there's techniques, I
guess is the answer to how you deal with it?
You just don't deal with it. What if there's two

of them, that's a problem. You know, now you're you're
turning your whole protect to a great defensive end and
here's this guy who's at the three technique or you know,
playing over the guard or whatever, blowing that up, and
you know, it just causes chaos in your backfield and
it's so hard to block. You're asking somebody every once

in a while to block that guy one on one.
And when you have more than one like that out there,
I mean, I remember, I mean Cornelius Bennett was different,
but I remember when the Buffalo Bills had Cornelius Bennett
and Bruce Smith and it was just like, oh my god.
You know, to rush the passer, you know, that kind
of stuffed Neil Smith and Derek Thomas when they both

played for the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean it's pretty dynamic.
I mean, then you think about the Rams back in
the day, Deacon Jones before they even counted sacks, he'd
be the straight hand. None of those guys would it
be anywhere near him, Deacon Jones and Merlin Olson and
Fred Dryer Hunter throwing people off of buildings. But anyway,

to the Summer League? And I was like, no, I'm not.
I did go out. I've been to one Summer League
event when it was at the Pyramid, back in the
days of Mary Hanks coaching a team in the Summer League.

And I went to go visit the Summer League at
the Pyramid and saw like Pig Miller and like people
like that. It's much different now in Las Vegas have
you been keeping up with it because the young guys
were out there? Yeah, the BANDSTA and all them guys.

It's funny you say that because when we do our
pre draft, obviously all the agents are in and out
throughout the process. But I've grown this stable. I guess
you would say of kids, younger guys, either managers at
schools for basketball teams or video guys that helped me
during the pre draft, and they all go to Vegas
and every one of them, daughter, are you going? The

answer is no, why not? I don't need to go.
I can watch the guys. I'm interested in guys I've
had the last couple of years that are playing summer
league to see how they do. We had a couple
of guys that were rookies last year that came back
this spring to get ready for summer league. So I've
been interested in how they're playing. But yeah, there's no
(29:35):
reason for me to go. When was the last time
you went?
Speaker 1 (29:39):
A few years?
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Oh, it's been a while, ten years since A Wow, Yeah,
there's no reason for me to go. You know me,
pe I'm I'm at the stage of my life where
I really enjoyed doing pre draft, but I'm not trying
to get a job out of this. I'm not trying
to like get a job with an NBA team, And
that's all it is is networking out there.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
You don't want to hang out with world Wide West.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
No, I mean I know all those guys and they
know that I'm not interested. I'm not trying to get
another job out of this, which most guys that do
what I do are, and so there's no reason for
me to be there. But what's interesting to answer your question.
The thing about Summer League to me, and this isn't
(30:19):
absolute or across the board, but if you go to
Summer League and you're really, really good as a rookie,
that means there's a very good chance you're going to
be a very good NBA player. If you're not good
as a rookie, it doesn't mean you're not going to
be a good player, But if you are, that pretty
much dictates now went in there and went crazy the
(30:41):
most important time as a young NBA player, especially if
you didn't play as a rookie. If you played a
lot as a rookie, you're not playing Summer League going
into your second year anyway.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
But if you didn't play a lot.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
If you don't do well in summer league after your
rookie year, it kind of a problem. And if you're
in Summer League after your second season, going into your
third year and you're still playing in summer league, that's
a problem.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
So for the people that draft these guys and invest
all of this and have made this decision, and everybody's
thinking about it, you don't think about Woggler and anybody
else this how they play in the summer league. These executives,
they have their butttholes pretty pretty tight.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
The second year, the first year look like Woggler, you
can tell by his body type he's going to be
a very good player. But because he's not physically strong yet,
and guys are beating them up.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
And that's the other thing.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
When you're the fifth pick in the draft, all these
dudes at play overseas that have been professionals for eight
nine years, they're like, Okay, you're the fifth pick in
the draft. Let's see what you got. So they're going
after him. And that's why I said, it doesn't mean
if you don't play well as a rookie, you're not
going to be a good player. But like the Bonza Peterson, Boozer,
Caleb Wilson. They've already shown that they are going to

be very very good NBA players.

to be a superstar at some point.

good But again, after your rookie year, going into your
second year, you better be like the best play like
a great example. Kid we had last year out of
Yukon Lee McNeely. Charlotte draft him late in the first
which we thought he was going to go higher. Didn't
spend some time up this year, but was mostly G League.
He is crushing the summer league this year, which is

a great sign for him.

How much does the NBA, these franchises, the agencies that
you work for, how much do they How much leeway
do they allow for the fact because we say people's names,
and we watched highlights and you watch games and yeah,
I know the defense a guy, I've seen him, you know,
I get it. I know his story a little bit.
But like he's nineteen years old, Like that's a nineteen

year old guy. How much of that comes into play
when these guys are talking to these guys, the decisions
they make. How mature are these dudes expected to be
at nineteen years old?

They are because they've been stars for a long time.
And the best example I have because he was in
our gym for two summers before the draft and then
he was there for the pre draft and he's younger
than Trent Cooper flag Like that kid had played so
much basketball, and Trent.

Is don Son, who plays at Saint Mary's and Trent's
going into his sophomore.
Speaker 5 (34:19):
Year redshirt freshman year.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
But yes, Cooper Flag is younger than Trent by like
four months. But Cooper had been in the spotlight for
so long that even him being eighteen or nineteen, it's
like he's twenty four or twenty five because of all
the experience he's had dealing with media, dealing with everything
that comes along with basically being the number one player

in his class since he was fourteen or fifteen.

Pretty tough. Yeah, to be nineteen and have that.

Much well, and he had a great rookie year, so
it doesn't it doesn't FaZe him any of this stuff.

through the first segment, you're bench pressing this crowd. You're
trying to keep the energy up, keep everybody going. You
have everything set up for after. It's like all you
need is Dave to call on time. But he's doing
TV that day and he leaves you hanging for five minutes.
So Matt and I are sitting there, you know, with
our hand in our pants reading our driver's license. Well,

you know you don't want to go in on the
next thing because the second you do, it's like and
you're like, damn it. You know it's a rough ticket.
But anyway, we're happy to be here today. We have
another full show tomorrow, and throughout the week there'll be
a lot of full shows, and then we're taking Friday off.

So how was your weekend?

We will start with I guess we usually start with
Matt because Matt has the most interesting weekend in life
and loves to talk about it. What about you, Don,
I'll start tell us how is your weekend? Don?
Speaker 4 (38:39):
My weekend was really good. Friday, a little happy hour
with the wife and some friends, which.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
Hold on, say it again and I'll make you feel
good about it.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Happy hour with some friends, which is that's typical. On Saturday,
got up early with Trent, worked him out on the court.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
Little father son action. Good.
Speaker 5 (38:57):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (38:58):
And then we had a open house and our friends
the Churchill Shannon and Neil. Their daughter Makira just graduated
high school and is leaving this week for Belmont to
play soccer in Nashville.
Speaker 5 (39:12):
So they had an open house.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
I didn't know they had a college down there on
second Street of Bobbach.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Yeah, And so.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Stayed there for a couple hours, had a good time.
And then at night our friends the Andrews, Jeff and Beth,
which is really interesting. Janney, you're not there yet. Yeah,
you're not there yet. But we're friends with a lot
of our friend couples in town because of our kids
and kids sports and kids' activities.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
In kids school.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
That's how going back. Yeah, shit at a baseball game
for three hours.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
Going back to like when they were five and six. Well,
they started this party last year because all of our kids,
most of our kids have all turned twenty one. So
now the party and it's once a summer is for
parents and kids. Sounds pretty exciting, but not like a kid.
You know, like used to go to kid parties and
(40:04):
they'd be like cake. Right now, both are the same.
Everybody drinking games, all the stuff, beer pong, all that stuff, Like, Mom,
you want to vide katonic? No, sweetie, I'm having an
apparrel sprints. So it was actually a really good time
and uh we uh we stayed probably longer than we
should have.
Speaker 5 (40:26):
Brook that's usually the case.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
I think it's time.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
That's usually the case.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
But what was interesting to finish out that night is
our good friends the Homes. They have three boys like
we do, a little bit younger, their youngest when we
used to go, like we'd been on vacation trips with
them and their youngest Easton. When we first started hanging
out with them, was like two guests who drove us
home on Saturday night.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
You home tonight Eastern Holmes, the son of Larry Holmes,
and you're hanging out with Winston Churchill.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
Like that was an eye opening moment for me and Brooke, Like,
wait a second, you were just two years old and
now you are driving us home from this party.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
It's like our friend Al Stewart says, time passages. Yeah,
but a nice weekend, don.
Speaker 5 (41:10):
Yeah, it was a good weekend. How was your weekend?
Speaker 1 (41:13):
No? No, no, no, no, no, sorry, it's Zach elk Oh.

This is a real you know they remember in uh,
that's right, you go last Yeah, remember, and usually I
hope that everybody takes up so much time that I
don't have to go. But you remember in Indiana Jones
the Last Crusade where you have to you know that
you have to leap you know, it's like a leap
of faith, you know, you just step onto the that's
us sending it over to the zachs weekend.

It's that it's like this could go any direct chap
into the void.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
Zach. How was your weekend?

My weekend was good.
Speaker 8 (41:45):
I was here Saturday working the Angel City FC soccer
which you can listen to on the iHeartRadio app. And
then I was also watching after the game, the Argentina
Switzerland game which Argentina and again cheated again uh to
move on to the semi final.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (42:00):
Wow, that's a strong accusation.

If you've been watching World Cup, it's not okay, So
so argent you know, that sounds pretty inflammatory. And then
you just miss somebody saying that that's inflammatory.

I cannot say that I did not have respect for Don.

A nice weekend.

Saturday, we were up early to make a Costco run.
We uh went to the grocery store took the dogs
for their annual vaccines in the San Fernando Valley. We
came home, watched England beat Norway in that first uh
FIFA World Cup game.
Speaker 7 (45:11):
That Zach says that everybody.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Cheats Argentina, he said she He didn't say everybody cheats.
Speaker 7 (45:18):
Well, he told me something different.
Speaker 8 (45:19):
Off are right, zachs did I say?
Speaker 7 (45:26):
And in the afternoon evening we went over for sushi
night over at the Rubio's house.
Speaker 6 (45:31):
Our friends Tony and Jane and some of their other
friends were there and.
Speaker 7 (45:35):
We met them for the first time.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
Like a sushi chef.
Speaker 6 (45:38):
No, so well, there may have may as well been
a sushi chef because that sushi was excellent. They ordered
and apparently delivered it and uh, there was all kinds
of sushi.
Speaker 7 (45:49):
There was tempora. I brought over two bottles.
Speaker 6 (45:53):
Of sake, uh and we polished that off pretty nicely.
Speaker 7 (45:58):
Ate a bunch of sushi. We had a nice charcooterie board.
Speaker 6 (46:01):
My wife Grace made a charcouterie board is one of
the one of the snacks there for everybody to indulge in.
While we were having a good time with good conversation
and watching the Argentina Switzerland game, having a great time
with everyone there. Argentina cheatadh, Yeah, did they cheat, Zach,
Argentina cheated.
Speaker 8 (46:19):
I mean I feel like you best if you watch
the game.
Speaker 6 (46:22):
I mean you would have if you had watched, you know, well,
you know, I was kind of half watching as we
were kind of living it up there a sushi night
there with the Rubios. Anyway, Sunday we stayed home for
some R and R and domestic chores sprinkled in between,
and that was my weekend. What about you, Petros, I'm
excited to.
Speaker 1 (46:39):

No, it's not late. We got to come on minute
to Petro. Come on, Petros.

You know after hearing about Libya, Uh, Libya is not
even in the World Cup. That's like me running around
being like I hate all these European countries in here,
you know, because Greece is an end whatever. I drove
home to the group home after the after the event.
Speaker 7 (47:04):
Yeah, I saw that picture that you sent me after
the show.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
I would That's why I sent it to you, so
you would see it. And I was not aware of that.
There's a little Arabia in Anaheim. Really, I drove right
through little Arabia was anybody else aware of little Arabia
in Anaheim? What'd you see a lot of Arabic? It's

almost like I was driving around Libya. Was zach elk
and Kadafi, but.
Speaker 7 (47:34):
Ordai's ghosts.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
I saw that. And then I saw a bunch of
Vietnamese temples and things like that. We've never seen that before.
I was happy to drive Isabelle home and see some
of the people at the group home. And then I
went to yoga at my sister's yoga studio, Cafe Yoga
and Crenshaw and I went to a fiftieth birthday party
(47:56):
at the Beach Life Grotto in Redondo Each excellent party
for Karen Hall or fiftieth nice lovely, lovely time. And
I bought a hat. You guys, okay.
Speaker 5 (48:12):
Barely no, I mean, I get it.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
I went to yesterday, I went to yoga, and then
I went to the Beach Hut, which is a Hawaiian
breakfast restaurant that used to be in Hermosa that moved
to Torrents like fifteen years ago. I was not aware
that it was the same Beach Hut that I used
to go to in Hermosa. I was made aware. I
went over there and I was alone. It was excellent.
(48:34):
And then I went over to the H Mart, which
I had never been to, just like a giant Korean
store that has everything that you could ever want if
you're a Korean person.
Speaker 5 (48:44):
And I was over with did you pick up?
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Now that I was overwhelmed, But I'll make it back
to the H Mart now that I know you know,
I see you know what? Yeah, all right, we'll do
