four broad Flex Booth. Yeah wow, I mean David Vesseys Flex.
Let me say, wellert we are.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
I just had to negotiate David Vassay's appearance. Yes, because
Tim k it's it's s v d D Surly dog Days,
Surly dog Days.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
I didn't want to come on. Well, he was being churlish, right,
so I sent on one with Cal Freeland. He was
born the Rockets. We were we were communicating. Great, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
And then today I called him and I got and
I got cleared. Oh, and I wrote, you know so no, no,
I wanted to be kind, be kind rewind. I don't
want to be like n f F no field figures
as Vassay has alluded to. And I realized that he's

(01:52):
on the road and it's a grind. And I wrote
how are you? And he wrote back? And this was
a bad sign.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
This didn't mean that Dave's not coming on, but it
meant he might not come off.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Did he write swamped? He wrote fine? Oh, usually it
would be something good dinner last night. It's written you
know something nothing.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
It's on your tone though, I mean you said how
you doing? He could have been oh.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Fine, No no, because I wrote because now I realize
this guy's he's in his cups in one way or another.
So I wrote two thirty live or are you busy?

Speaker 4 (02:36):
That's nice? You give him the out to give you
an out. That's right with the clubos opens. So I wrote.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Maybe a quick check in at two ten, all time
specific two forty five. If you're too busy, it's okay,
And I got a very curt two ten works okay,
So we're gonna get four minutes away, four and a
half minutes out from calling in theory on paper. Sure

(03:04):
to call David Vassay and get him on and talk
about the woes of the Dodgers. You know, he was
on TV yesterday. But Tim, you were right. You sent
me into the fire with the extinguisher and you stayed
back being like, hey, you get it. There's there's more.
There's more over there in the corner. Like you knew
Vassay was going to be churlish and insubordinate.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
Today, Stephen Baldwin, Billy was in backdraft.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
All right, that's a whole that's a whole horse of
a different color. On an I'm a Horse Monday, Matt, Yeah,
Stephen Baldwin, And we're going to do ten minutes on
the Usual Suspects, and maybe two minutes on the Carmen
Electric Skydiving.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Movie with Dennis Rodman with Rodman, and then like another
ten minutes on the iHeartRadio podcast Guaranteed Human. I don't
know if there's gonna be twenty two minutes of Baldwin
Guaranteed Human, but that is in our second Now we're
only on for two and a half hours. Twentieth anniversary
of biodome, we.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Also have that to discuss. But again, usual suspects is
what I'm leading with. I think that's fair, and I'm
hopeful that you hopeful music would hope that that's receptive
to that. Yeah, I well, but you're receptive to it too, hopeful.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Man, if they twenty seemed a little bit late, thirtieth
anniversary of biodome, like you know, twenty seems like yesterday
for those it was ninety six.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Well, you're we're hopeful that twenty twenty six finds you
well as we are flexed back today, we're Dodger Baseball
in Colorado. No confirmation on whether or not Vassa has
Kyle Freeland.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Kyle Freeland born the same day as the Rockies, and
here he is taking them out and taking the ball
for his hometown team.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
You think Dave's nervous about snell Zilla pitching in the
Mile High City.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Oh, that might be it wet, things can go wrong
or what if you if I understand that, I can
feel that maybe he was chasing a Kyle Carro's pregame interview.
You know, you go behind enemy lines, you're a little
more stressed than just grabbing one of the Dodgers and
pulling them caros. You know he's really swinging the bat.
And what a bet it is? Tim's reason are a

(05:18):
Glomar bat. Tim's reason was a lot more feasible than yours.
It's just looking for the plug. I saw it, Glomar.
Think how stupid do we look? A hell of a bat?
Modelo is a hell of a beer. It's the Glomar bat.
Some Mexican lockers. It's a Modello reach a lot of

(05:39):
Monday on the Petrson Money Show meeting we celebrate meets
you a lot as made with Modelo, because if it's
not made with Modello, then it's not a real meach.
And that beach is a reward for those though spirit
fits And when are the Dodgers in a slump? Sure?
Indeed they are? Or have they been in slumps in

(06:01):
August before? Yeah, seems like an annual. It's a mark
of a fighter. That's the only way I could look
at him. You got us a safe mark of a fighter.
You take your punches, you come back out for the
next rock. Okay, have they been knocked down a little bit?

Speaker 6 (06:19):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (06:19):
You know what Muhammad Ali said in or out of
the ring. It's not going down that matters, it's getting
back up. I thought Allen Iverson said that, No, Matt,
there's a rebok campaign for a high three, and it said,
it's not about how many times you get knocked down,
it's about how many times you get back.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Up once again, pulling a ballad, I was a rebob
a ballid pointed into obscurity.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
The I three.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
So David Massey will join us in a matter of moments.
As the Dodgers are struggling. Tim Kates was the one
that shouldered all the angry calls last night after the
loss to the Brewers. Tim Kates with Ongo Casino, Dodgers
on Deck and Dodger Clubhouse and Dodger Talk last night,
and he had a few chest bruises. Uh this morning,

(07:10):
you know, some real rabbit punches to the chest.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
A couple of phone calls for Rose Way to Paula
to be called up all the way from Double A
and bench Kyle Tucker and.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
May had to explain that you can't bench a guy
that makes that much money. It just doesn't happen. You
can't have that much money sitting on the bench.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
He's working through something. I'm working through it. Well, he
sat him on Friday night because I got Clear's head,
got Clear's head, you know, Clearre's head, you know, sit
him down and got Clear's head. And then you know,
you go out and you get mercilessly booed, you know,
back in his head. Now, we thought, we thought we
cleared it out. But you know, you got to really,
you got to have a pretty bat. It's got to

(07:47):
take a while to get boot at Dodger Stadium. I mean, Philly,
they'll blew you right away or a place like that.
But at Dodger Stadium you've really just so much winning.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yeah, it's really got to be a long term lump
to wear it like he wore it.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
But his defense makes up for all of it. Well
that's a problem to Mismisque out there. It looks like
he keeps thinking he's gonna be Aaron Judge whenever he
goes near that gate, that his head's gonna fly off,
or his leg or his knee or his foot or
whatever happened to Aaron Judge. Maybe that patchy beard fly
right off his face. Hey, how's Fassat's mood? How does
it sound good?

Speaker 5 (08:21):
He's good?

Speaker 4 (08:21):
All right?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
The Home of the Dodgers is with an inside look
at the Dodgers. This is the Vassie Report with David Vasse,
one and only.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
David Masse's on the trip in Denver after a triumphant
week not for the Dodgers but for himself doing radio
and television always kick an ass. It is David Vassa
from Spectrum Sportsnet MLB networking right here on AM five
seventy live at Coursefield. Was he behind enemy lines chasing

(08:54):
down Kyle Carrows? Will he have Kyle Freeland on the
in the fit game? Who's to say? Hello, Dave? How
are you well?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Petros? Let's just start right there with corrections and retractions. Unfortunately,
friend of the show, Kyle Carros is not in Denver.
He had an unfortunate collision with his shortstop last week
in Arizona. They were in the shift and they ran
into each other and Kyle Carros has whiplash. He's in

(09:24):
Arizona at Salt River Fields trying to recover from that.
So yeah, I will not be seeing Kyle Carros, but
I saw his dad on the plane. His dad is
calling the game today. Eric Carross an empty trip to Denver.
Eric Carrolls trip.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
I believe he will still be paid a princely sum
for his services. Dave you hear about right when they
booked him for this, they were They did not have whim.
They did not dave you hear get right game or
a get right picture for a guy in a slump.
You look at the Rockies backed up by a Pirates
team that's a bit lost. Is is this like a

(10:01):
must win, like a get right series after the deal
with the Brewers? Like how does this line up from?
And how important are these games?

Speaker 2 (10:09):
They're very important. This is a get healthy type of
three games, six games, if you will. Even better news
for the Dodgers they won't be seeing Faulse Schemes this weekend.
Because Schemes was supposed to start yesterday. He was pushed
back to Wednesday, So the Dodgers look out in that respect.
They're not going to see Schimes this weekend and going

(10:30):
up against really good pitching. Against the Brewers, they didn't
do really well. So this is the soft part of
their schedule that they have to take advantage of because
they've had a tough couple of weeks of opponents, so
no excuses. They got to do better, and they haven't
been very good since July tenth as an offense, So

(10:51):
you hope that Coursefield and the Rockies can remedy some
of the offensive issues.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
What is the overall demeanor of the tea, Dave, because
that people got pretty frustrated during that Brewer series, and
you've seen this team have august lulls in the past.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Well. I asked a few players yesterday before the game
about whether or not they were aware that yesterday's game
meant a tiebreaker as far as if those two teams
finished with the same record, homefield advantage, all that stuff,
and yeah, they said, we're aware of it. But in
baseball you can't try harder. It's weird. It's not like
in the NBA you can't. You can run harder back

(11:31):
on defense, right, but in baseball, if you try harder,
it's going to backfire. So they said, you know, we
prepare every day the same way. We just have to
be better and to a man. Max Munsey said it
after the game. Dave Roberts said it after the game.
They wanted to win that game. They understood the big
picture importance. It's not make or break. I mean, there's

(11:53):
a lot of baseball left where you know they could
close the gap on on the Brewers, but certainly losing
the season six was disappointing.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Dave in terms of just, you know, like you said,
things you can maybe put effort toward, or you can
try to improve with trying harder defense. It's something that
Dodgers have typically, I believe, if I remember right, have
been pretty darn good at and it's been a comedy
years and it seems like it was one of the
things that Dave Roberts really kind of harped on after
that game, is forcing his pitchers to get extra outs

(12:24):
and pitch extra innings. What do you see out there,
like what has led to this sort of issue that
they have behind their pitchers? And I would assume pictures
being pretty pissed off every time they take them out,
not knowing what the hell the defense is going to
give them.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Well, you look at that second inning where scooball was
forced to throw thirty three pitches. There were two outs
in that inning and a foul ball down the line
that should have been caught, it wasn't. It led to
a run and it led to extra pitches. And then
you look at the play where the infield was in.
Tom Yedman makes that play nine out of ten times,
and he just was trying to, you know, do something

(13:00):
before he had the ball in field in that would
have cut down a run and would have got the
Dodgers out of that jam. And then Kyle Tucker in
the ninth inning. You know, I've watched Kyle Tucker. There
are times where I feel like the offense is bleeding
into him standing out there and right field, and how
could it not, especially at Dodgers Stadium. A lot of

(13:21):
times you watch Kyle Tucker and the pre pitch preparations
sometimes isn't there, and you wonder if he's thinking about
his at bats, and yesterday I haven't seen. I wasn't
watching him closely before the pitch was thrown. But that's
just that's a ball that needs to be caught. So
for whatever reason, there's a variety of different reasons. I

(13:42):
just went through three of them yesterday. And also Mookie Betts,
you know, in that play in that second inning, and
his momentum is carrying him forward's first base. He's got
to throw to first base. He took Tom Yeedman off guard.
I know, Laura is a really fast runner, but that's
where the play is. So all of those things were mistakes.
And I'll say this, like the Dodgers only made what

(14:05):
twenty five eras thirty years in their first ninety something games.
They've made as many of those in the last thirty games.
So it needs to it needs to change because that's
something the Dodgers have taken a lot of fighting. Going
back to you know, the last last two years.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
The one and only David vass Say, brought to you
by Downy Hyundai, missing his car when he's in the
Rocky Mountains, is joining us on the Petros and Money Show.
We're happy to have him, has Dave Roberts. I mean,
we've heard him. He's been vocal and frustrated. Is he
going to have a closed door meeting? Is he going
to air some guys out?

Speaker 2 (14:41):
I don't think so. But this is something I've talked
about before. You know, in the traditional sense of players
only meetings, they would have it in the clubhouse, right
everybody out, like players only only players. Well, this is
such a unique team that, going back to last year
they have a player's only playing. You would hope they
have those type of players only meetings on those airplanes.

(15:03):
Right on those airplane rides, have that conversation on the airplane,
talk baseball, talk about what's been ailing you guys on
that plane. There's nobody but players on that plane. So
have your team meeting on that airplane going to Denver, Dave.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
What about Edwin Diaz? There have been a lot of
long form pieces written about him. I heard Tim Kirchin
and Buster Olney talking on the Baseball Tonight pod today
saying that their level of concern on a one out
of ten scale is two because they figure he just
needs to get back into the rhythm. Kind of what
do you get the sense the feeling is around him,
and maybe how long it will take into You share

(15:40):
that same sort of confidence that those two guys do.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Oh yeah, without a doubt. Scoogle yesterday threw more pitches
in the game yesterday than he's ever thrown in his career,
one hundred and nine pitches and he's coming off you
know that loose body nanoscote procedure. One hundred and nine
pitches was the most in the season, most all in
his career, and in the sixth inning he dialed it
up to ninety nine. He threw ninety nine and that

(16:06):
sixth inning as he was over one hundred pitches, and
I felt like as that game went on, he got better.
After he got through that second inning where you know,
there were some plays not made behind him, and he
threw thirty three pitches. He was really efficient and like
I said, seemed to be getting stronger as the game
went on and started to adjust to the Brewers being

(16:26):
really aggressive early in the count. They're just a pesky
team that even you know, they try to get to
the full count even with two outs and try to
win those at bats, and they were winning them that
entire series against the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Dave, before we let you go, Jeanie Buss sold the
rest of her shares, and the Lakers and the bus
Man all the way.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I mean, she's no longer coming to your remotes.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
That stopped like two years ago last I think, Yeah,
it's been about I think about one calendar year, maybe
maybe two.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
But either way, Dave, you used to cover the Lakers.
Any thoughts that it's all over now?

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yeah, it's an end of an era. The bus family
was synonymous with the Lakers, like the O'Malley family was
synonymous with the Dodgers, and that's what professional sports is
turning into. Families cannot own professional sports teams anymore. They
just can't compete in that environment. It's become, you know,

(17:29):
a multi billion dollar industry, and the days of having
one single owner where the fan base has a strong
attachment to it just seems to be over with. And
there's pros and cons to that. But certainly it reminds
me of when the O'Malley's sold the Dodgers. It does
remind me of that, Oh.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Davey Johnson came in and saved the Dodgers. Remember that.
I'm trying to figure a heck of a time, like
Piazza got traded in May a time.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Let's get friend, Iger is going to do a better
job than Fox.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Fair enough. I think that's fair. Thank you, Dave.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
All right, guys, have a great night, Dave, he's already gone,
David vassay we go.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Hey though, Hey, pretty good? Right? Wait?

Speaker 5 (18:17):
It tipped all around that. That's good job, boys.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
That's like when you have to put like a blanket
on the gator's head and then tape its mouth and
then you know, cut the tape off and put it
back in the water. And you just we just watched
him disappear into the water.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
You're the only reptile guy here. Okay, we don't know
what that. We don't know what to do with a gator,
and you tape his mouth.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I don't either, Matt. I just watched the video. I
watched it. Then there's a TV show.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
You're the lizard man here. How do you know? Those
things a little different from an alligator, Matt. If if
we were near an alligator, I wouldn't be like, hey,
get out of the way. I have a bearded dragon
at home. I know I got this. Don't worry everybody.
I got this.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
I watched a bunch of what happened to that guy?
I watched a bunch of cops yesterday. I hold a
game his mouth closed and pick him up and put
him into the water. And it reminded us of dealing
with vass A right there, because fun that could have
gone bad. Though a couple questions outside of the lanes.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
I thought he was very happy to weigh in and
give his opinion on Genie.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Yeah, and the team only playing. Likely the player's only playing.
If you're gonna meet why.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Don't you mean on your plane that I'm not a
loaded by the way, talk about a great deal for
Dave Bassay as well. Everyone makes it out like, oh
that sucks. They can't go on to kidding me. I
have to deal with that, and hey, everybody, let's make
sure we keep it don Okay, players are in a
bad mood. We got a cross eight. I'm back here.
I'm doing what I need to do. I get the
back of the plane. Okay, now you get your own plane.

(19:46):
You have to worry about how the players are feeling
freaking jackpot for Dave Bessy. I don't know if they
feel that way. They got the star reffing going. I
don't know. I don't know. I think he valued his
time on a plane with the players. We'll see it's
different and we value our time with Daves say, and
that went very well. Heart's on fire. Not every day,

(20:08):
is it? Just?

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Hey, what time you want to come on? You know
it's some days take a little bit more tender love
and care. I heard a legendary sailor's tale yesterday, A
legendary sailor's tale. It was told to me as a

(20:29):
true story, but it was hard to believe, Okay, but
it felt real when I heard it, and I don't
think these people would have any reason to lie.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
How when I hear legendary, I think of very old No. Okay,
so this is recent legend like ESPN would say instant
classic classic. You share that next. I mean, I'll to you, Okay,
I like it. I'm I think you should hear me out.
You know, I think that's a hell of a tease.

(21:03):
But it was a story I heard, you know.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
I mean, it's a lot like you know Henry James
novel man walks into a bar and what this was?
Guy walks into a bar and then told me this story.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
And I was like, we are your oral tradition show
of record like Homer, Right, So let's carry it out.
We'll be right back with Barr. This is Petro Send

(21:36):
Sports Live Everywhere on the iHeartRadio app going until four
point thirty on a flex alert. Dodgers v. Colorado Rockies
already had David Vassey checked in. In the opening segment
set the tone shared that Kyle Karros has whiplash. His
dad will be on the call, but Kyle won't be
on the field. I guess we should have known that,
should have but that's just not how we operate. Should

(21:58):
have known better. Former guest Richard Marx hell of an
interview promoting a Christmas album while we were live. That
was a great interview, it was, and we were live
on location too at the club Jeer and Long Beat. Yeah,
I never forget it. Marx came on and was dealing
man telling stories. Oh, he was a pro guest. Right.

(22:21):
We can only hope Stephen Baldwin will be the same.
No strangers to superstars. You should listen to your friend
Billy's Petrosen Money showed nose, take his advice. Yeah, we
know our way, you know, we know how to behave
around a list superstar actors and musicians. Here's the reason
they call us up with the big guns always. We
just dealt with a wild snake. David Essay got him

(22:46):
on and off the air, and now to get him
with some of those pinchers. Yeah, and the clubhouses opened
him in the bucket cup.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Davids is on to work. We had all kinds of
stuff yesterday, uh, I mean last week and Saturday with
Kates's show at Galvania and all the stuff that went on,
but we don't have any remotes this week, am I right?

Speaker 4 (23:10):
Kates?

Speaker 5 (23:11):
That's early still Monday.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Well didn't you guys do a call like they didn't say? Hey, wait,
you guys are at the Stratosphere on Thursday for four hours.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Nagad City.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
I wish you were, but there's no remote to the
foreseeable future.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Gentlemen, right here, if you would like to bring a
companion to dinner, you are more than welcome to bring
it plus one, I, for one, will be bringing a
guest with me here at the Pop Shelves Steakhouse at
the Stratosphere, Las Vegas. Hey, ed, it's Matt. Are we
in the right spot because we came to the place

(23:45):
you told us to come to and it's right outside
the nickel slots. Make sure that this was the right
stick I was talking about. It was. I want to
make sure we're in the right space, all right.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
I told you i'd tell you quick stories, though, uh
over the weekend, oftentimes I find myself at the same
bar with the same person. Guy we like to call
a real estate deck right when he's a boat man?
Now is he the red O or is he the
San Pedro Bruco?

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Is his spot. He's red Oh, right, Matt.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
If I hung out at the Bruco every weekend, I
probably have a couple of shanks sticking out of my No.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
No, no, no.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
The Red Onion up at the top of the h
This is where Mike likes to go. He's beloved there.
He likes to come home from his trips on his boat,
come back to the Red Oh, settle back onto the hill,
and have a margarita. Sometimes see his friends. So we
had a football scrimmage yesterday. The boys had a scrimmage.
So afterwards I was at the Red Onion with Mike

(24:50):
and his lovely wife, the Queen of VALMONTI my wife,
and we're sitting there and three men arrived. These are
friends of Mike's, one of one of which I know,
the other which i'd met, the weather one I didn't know.
One's a British man by the name of George, maybe.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
A little older.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
The very British name, very very sophisticated guy, George.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
Just because of the accent that and he is a
sophistic he is, he travels around. He's sure boat guy. Well.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
And then George had two friends with him, Hungarian men.
What and I think they were going by their their
their I'm trying to get laid in American names. One
was Daniel and the other was Peter, but it didn't
sound like Daniel and Peter from Budapest or whatever.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Dashtisch neefs. Now, these guys told a tale. The Hungarians
and George. Do they have Hungarian accents?

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
They were with George and George's boat at the Two
Harbors area of Catalina. The yacht club that they belonged
to out there is called a Fourth of July Cove
Yacht Club. So it's one of those coves off of
Two Harbors and it says yacht club and everyone is
like a little shack and people can more their boats.
You've heard of also, I believe it's called Crystal Cove,

(26:11):
which is a little further west, you know.

Speaker 4 (26:14):
Up on Catalina. Yeah, Crystal Cove, Oka. Yeah, Yeah, it's
one of the it's you know, all the way up
and you know it's next to it's one pass, the
one where Natalie would drowned.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Gotcha.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
So you're getting more and more remote, okay. And they
got in their dingy or whatever and they're riding around
and they came upon a fifty foot catamaran that had
no less, they swear, than twenty five new bile new

(26:47):
bile topless twenty to thirty year old women, okay, all
of which were thrilled to see the small whaler or
whatever it was their dinghy with the two Hungarians and
George who's got long, curly kind of hair, metal hand

(27:09):
riding around, sir, can you provide his passages?

Speaker 3 (27:12):
And they all started waving their arms and their blos
and sirens saw right, And I was like, really, what
were the boobs like? That was my first question? Were
they pointy boobs?

Speaker 4 (27:25):
Like it was a mirage, like you know, it was
like like a time like string theory, like nine dimensions,
Like was it like like this thing appeared from nineteen
fifty six, we got missile boobs seventy six something like that. Yeah, missiles, No,
he said, the nineteen nineties fake.

Speaker 7 (27:39):
No.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
No. The guy said round bro. He was very and
he said there were two guys, two men, and twenty
five chicks.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Yeah, he said. One guy looked like a guru, he
had long hair. And then the other Hungarion was like,
I did don't see guru. He say, you inside the guru.
He said, one guy looked like a guru with long hair.
And he said the women were beckoning now, beckoning, beckoning
and screaming, and.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
He was he took off his shirt.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
The Hungaryan Garian was on the bow, you know, flexing
and like, you know, gesticulating at.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
The women like I'm a Hungarian powerless, yeah check, and.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
They're waving their arms and come, come, and they and
George the bread like jerked the wheel. Didn't jerk the wheel,
but just went away.

Speaker 4 (28:27):
He sucker berged it. He went away boat in distress.
I'm steering this gat away. They didn't want him there,
like I mean, it's not that they didn't need help.
They wanted them there to who knows. And like the
Hungarian guys were like, maybe I could have done maybe three,
but there was twenty five, you know, thirty weird. Maybe
they were being held captive by this guru to save that.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
And he said the music like this music. He said,
that's something the Hungarian said was the music.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
Had no beat.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
It was very and he started like doing wavy arms
and stuff like Vishnu. And he described this kind of
music just straight sit there and they got the name
of the boat.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Okay, we tracked the boat.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Back by we you know these boat people sure back
to Marina Delray.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
So there are a bunch of divorcees, divorce chicks, or
a bunch of flight attendants. They're scattered like the Tower
of Babel. Now doesn't that make sense? They devil make
care a bunch of chicks.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Marina Delray is the most transient town, doubt in the
LA area. Now they're all gone, But in that moment,
those two Hungarians could have gone up there and live
maybe three maybe two three maybe two maybe three. But
George is a family man.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
I know. Well that's what I was gonna say. Did
George then interject himself into the story and say, hey.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Well George, George, that's a good but said, you know,
I did blow it, like you said.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
George said, no, he blew its. We talked about it,
you know, for the I mean, these guys were hungover
because after seeing that, you know, they went, why sure,
And they went to the bar and went I mean
they were one of them didn't even drink, but he
ate a giant burrito and like put his head on
them and and I was like, wow, there's a catamaran.

(30:19):
If only you know, those are the opportunities in life.
There was a catamaran floating, and you know how it
is when women all get around each other and they
get a little horny, and then that's you know, they
have to do each other. It becomes like, you know,
like wonder Woman, like the Amazon. And these Hungarians they
had that, and one of them said he was going
to dive off the boat, and then the last second

(30:40):
he decided not to dive off the boat.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
And swim to them. Sure, because who knows what they'd do.
It could be like the Wickerman. Remember that.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
The next thing, you know, it burned you right and effigy,
you burned to death, you know, raise you up the
mask and disembother you. Fifty foot catamaran, Collect your inurds.
Fifty foot catamaran. It's a big cat. Bogwan music. Do
you remember what the name of the cat is? You
don't want to share it? Bejorn was in the name Swede. Yeah,

(31:09):
I wonder if it was Bjorn Borg. It's what I said.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
They said, no it wasn't, or beyond Biorn said my
favorite kicker, my favorite fictional kicker.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Of all time. But they're it. I mean that dude
was living like like I know, like one of our
listeners in Lakewood was like, I was at I was
in Avalon. I didn't know, like you know, there was
that moment in.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Time topless chicks, and he said they did say to
make sure it wasn't a mirage. They went back in
the morning to the same area to see, you know,
and what remnants were there still there, but no chick destroyed,
laid out.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Everybody just worse for warranty MDMA had worn off Bleary.
They really no longer inviting. There's windows in life, dad,
and that's why the Dodgers are all in for their
third World series in a row. I mean, this is
the moment. This is the catamar this is the catamaran.
Like just I would love to know that, you know,

(32:10):
there's I had a thousand questions right for George, like George,
walk me through. You've got two you know you don't
you don't want to partake that line, but you've got
two men to do.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
He was, He was very very He wasn't defending himself.
He was very open to discussing his shortcomings. The two
Hungarians were also well, they were so hung and they
were almost so hungover that at that point it was
all a blur, which is why they went back the
next day, I mean in the morning to see them,
you know, laid out in different prone positions around the catamaran.

(32:42):
But they said, twenty to thirty topless chicks.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Two dudes, one at guru, one guru. Look. According to
one of the guys, Daniel. The other guy's DISPUTESO.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
The other guy said, what Guru. And they went back
and forth a little bit about that. But again, anybody
know that boat. Anybody at marina see a boat leave
for two hambre Yorn named Bjorn, filled with freaking twenty
five big boob and women. We would like to This
is the kind of thing that the I mean not
since the white giants that that the Tongue of People

(33:17):
spoke of, has there been such a legend of a
floating boat of sirens.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
And I don't think there's any question. I'm more interested
in the origin story of the twenty five topless ladies
than I am the giants that once roamed Catalina. I
would much rather solve this mystery. Well, they came out
of one of the giants portal and lands Ende man.
Everybody knows and when Cabrios showed up, they went back
into the portal. But anybody got any information, it's this

(33:45):
Hawaiian air They were grounded because of the hurricane and
they were just trying to blow off some steam. And
the Emerald Cove, that's what it's called. Yeah, I was
gonna say Crystal was down there by Newport.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Emerald Cove gotcham Emerald Cove, which is there's you know,
they all have a name on the way up the
uh from they all have all around. There's even Shark
Harbor on the backside.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
What they got there? Not these chicks. Yeah, that's that's
gonna be a tough one for George. I think even
if you're just taking care of George, if you're taking
and I did, I did say to these Hungarians, you know,
you could have lost an eye, nipples everywhere, and also

(34:30):
what's the aftermath story of a lot have a No,
that story is not nearly as good. My mate. Here
he took on six. I took on eight. I mean,
come on, I mean we said, like, really, how many
they look? I visualize them basically looking like you know,

(34:55):
Magnus Magnus in from the World Strongman Competition on ESPN two.
Now they just look like normal guys, blockheaded guys. Though, well,
I mean they're hung there. Yeah, I mean, look who
you're talking to. But yeah, it's just how he's out,
you know. Now listen, maybe George like me and unlike

(35:16):
you saw the Odyssey, he did have those sirens that
were sitting on those rocks. Back to that one.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Then there is a there is an od saying angle
here but ship but not not not from the movie Matt.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
Oh, you should have seen it. It was a tour
de force of acting by Matt Damon. Strapped to that
pole going.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
They weren't even strapped to the pole. He could have
he could have moved, he could have he could have
shifted his whaler. Come on, and you know how boats are,
you know, boat people, they're all friendly with each other.
They boy permission a couple of board, Hey, why don't
you have a break, And we got some mus.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
Just to just to go on board to say, hey,
I hopped from a ding onto a catamaran and executed
a motor boat.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Yeah, I told him, I said, you guys are like
the end of Dumb and Dumber.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
Yes, you know exactly.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
We're looking for two oil boys to travel the world
with us and grease us up and oil us up?

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Boy? Are you in luck? Denver? Is that way? George?
You may be refined, you may be a gentleman, but
you let your voice down. He might have. Just imagine
the conversation that all those ladies are having. I mean,
you know, can you believe those guys just turned away? Like?

(36:39):
What did I make something on the bus with the
dumb dumber guy? Did we I get it?

Speaker 6 (36:47):
Bat?

Speaker 4 (36:48):
I've never heard such a tale. Oh, you were right,
it was a good well.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
I was in the I was in a many years ago.
I was in Catalina with them, and there was one
kind of old with fake boobs who put her boom
out and then she slapped her boob.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
I remember that.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
And while they were going away and the song from
Buck Cherry, Hey are You Crazy?

Speaker 7 (37:09):
Man?

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Was playing. That's about all the action I've ever gotten
to Catalina is one old fake boob like biker chicks
slapping her boob Cherry in a speedboat as it tore
away Miami Vice style. There was not a boat of
like twenty five hot chicks, but just two dudes. Adam
Marina del Ray, one guru one was Guru. You did

(37:35):
not see I saw GOODU guy, long handed, kind of muscular.
We'll be back with how was your.

Speaker 7 (37:41):
Weekend, Southern California's most listened to sports talk show.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
On demand.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
No, I'm literally like Biff like the Verse in a
biff at the at the air like a Corvette. No, No,
at the end of Back to the Future, the Biff.
That's like I have to borrow my rich neighbors car
Like I didn't. I didn't wax it for you, mister
mcflet to waxes Biff beef.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
Oh, you're right, mister mcflood, and do it. That's what
I Please tell me. It's a sports car, not an suv. No,
it's an suv. It's an uld truck. That's unfortunate. Thanks
for listening to the Petterson Money. We're on early today.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
Anybody have an information about that lost catamaran full of
naked women and the one Guru guy and then the
one other guy.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
I don't know if it was Guru. I did not
see Guru. That one guy was too hungover, like he
was like when they offered him a drink, He's like no, no, no.
He looked like the berserker guy. When they first asked,
come on and see.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
No, come on girls think sexy.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
All right, everybody, it is Monday, so I'm gonna do
what I do. The weekend is how was your week Matt?
How was it out there? Good weekend? Busy weekend because
it's still training camp. Saturday, surf for a few hours.
Water still incredibly warm, so makes it easy to hang
out a little bit longer training camp. That's what I
forgot about with the gallpin stuff. Samoa Joe, who you've

(39:19):
met before, held his annual negative two dawn patrol get
together at his place for all of the early morning
folks that see each other every morning in the water
pot luck. I smoked the try tip. Oh wow, that's exciting.
But I was outdone by Gregrrio, who showed up with
a tray of bone marrow that he smoked, showed up

(39:41):
with spare ribs. I mean it was incredible. It was
quite the long beach party eight for days. I got
the meat sweats, couldn't sleep and watched an episode of
Silo at like one in the morning because I woke
up incredibly uncomfortable. Sunday I served again a few hours
and there was a pretty narly rip out there, so

(40:02):
got quite the workout again. Training camp. Chatted with our
friend Brock from the Chargers who always helps us out
with guests whenever we do our on site stuff, and
his dad was in town, so I believe his dad's
still in town and he listens. So Hello Greg from Denver,
father of Brock, We appreciate you. Watched a horrible movie
on Netflix. I think it was called The Last House.

(40:24):
It was terrible, like a horror moony kind of yeah,
but it was like a g rated horror movie, you
know that, like anyway horror. Yeah, it just and you
know how the thing about horror movies that really stink
is they just end quickly, like there's all this tension
and this has been two hours of this build up
and then it's kind of over and it doesn't really

(40:45):
make sense why it's over, and they give you this
little explanation of how they got out of this thing. Preston,
you got to get this thing under two hours, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (40:52):
We have.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
Preston had a Feller over for dinner, so I was
asked a grill a guy. Yeah, So I grilled up
some burgers and some chicken and he was very polite
He called me sir the whole time, which I appreciated.
Sort of, it started getting weird toward the end. Yes, sir,
can I get you some more water? No, sir, you
sure because your glass is empty? No, sir, I'm fine, sir? Okay,

(41:18):
I gotcha? Yes, what are your attentions with my daughter?
That's right, You're not going to finish that burger? Did
I do a poor job? Did I not grill it?
Did I not grill it? Well? You feelings?

Speaker 5 (41:33):
Cats had a baseball weekend guys. Saturday, I had Galloping
Ford for the special broadcast. I got to talk to
Sean Green and Austin Barnes.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
I heard. It was very it was very impactful.

Speaker 5 (41:45):
It was fun.

Speaker 4 (41:45):
It was a cross talk with the boxing guys.

Speaker 5 (41:47):
Yeah, not quite ringside. We did a little cross talk
with Colin Ye and Sammuel Long, and of course, being
a boxing show, they wanted to get into a discussion
if there was fight at Ami seventy l a Sports,
who would be the ultimate champion when it was all
said and done. Ronnie was discussed, but I think unfortunately
Ronnie fell in like the second or third round. I
can tell you it's not gonna Matt. You made it well,

(42:08):
I'm not gonna I'm not gonna featherweight Matt. Matt didn't, but.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
He didn't feel like hit by a mosquito.

Speaker 5 (42:15):
He was helding up until he got hit. We had
is this boxing or is this like UFC? And I
think it didn't really matter. We all agreed that in
the end Petro would probably win there. Yeah, because if
it's the US, I would guess rather easily too. Yeah,
here's my championship fight. If there was a bracket, on
one side of the bracket would be Petros and on
the other side of the bracket. May surprise you, I'd
have Colin Yee going against Petros in the championship because.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
Call it can box. He's got he's got a history
in the sweet science.

Speaker 5 (42:41):
He's very very quick at throwing tim What about Zach
elk Ry.

Speaker 4 (42:47):
He doesn't fight the guy.

Speaker 5 (42:48):
I mean, he's a leg fighter, but he's not really
a hit. He wasn't included, right, was he included in it?
We didn't include I actually forgot about Zach.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
You know what I think. If Zach's included, I'm gonna
put him over Colin because he's actually been in competition.

Speaker 5 (43:01):
Well, so it is Colin Colin box in Oklahoma professional
falling Gloves. Yeah, so I have got Colin going against Petros.
But Petros Colin had a draw with Joe Exotic. It
was one of the great funds. It was like the
haggler hearns of Ambinger fights. So we had that discussion,
which was a lot of fun. Then I had the
broadcast and I had Dodger pre game, and then Saturday

(43:21):
night the girls wise, it was an exceptional fight by
two gentlemen. We respected each other and it was Joe
Exotic Colin. Yes, Saturday night we watched Field of Dreams
because the girls had never seen it, so it was
a really baseball.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
Day for Did you cry No? Did you get Misty?

Speaker 7 (43:36):
No?

Speaker 5 (43:36):
But I actually answered some of the questions I had
because I had not seen it in a long time.
I was like, Okay, I get it now, I understand
this part. I get okay, I understand this now.

Speaker 4 (43:44):
You actually listen to some of the dialogue.

Speaker 5 (43:46):
Absolutely Sunday Dodger pre and post and it's funny you
bring up the Last House Matt on Netflix awful movie.
Wife had it on in the background while we're doing
some work at home. On Sunday night last night. The
inding is so dumb. Yeah, all of a sudden, the
I mean, this is over.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
It's like, wait a minute, what happened? Yeah? And by
the way, f you and your spoiler alert, it's like,
so wait, I don't understand how they were locked in
their house right, like no one can get out for
six years. There's like four of these squid things in
this neighborhood. But the whole the whole world has been
shut down. And when it's over, there's like four squids

(44:22):
that swim away because you cut one loose from a
they got caught up in a lot or something like that.
Be nice.

Speaker 5 (44:26):
All of a sudden freeze you from dying. It was uh,
and you're in a boat. You're just sailing off to
go see who well survived. H stupidest movie.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
Really, it really was terrible. Yeah, like terrible.

Speaker 5 (44:38):
Waste of my life. I cannot get those hours at the.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
End of the Game of Thrones with Bram the Brook.
By the way, ron Tomatoes gets it twenty two, which
is I wish I had seen that before it was
put on in my home, Ronnie.

Speaker 8 (44:49):
How was your weekend, guys, had a nice weekend? It
was pretty much spent at the ballpark, as my wife
and I were at the Dodger games on Saturday and Sunday,
only for the Dodgers to lose those games in disappointing
and disheartening fashion.

Speaker 4 (45:02):
My God.

Speaker 8 (45:04):
Sunday, following the game, we went to go visit the twins,
made us forget all about the Dodger's poor play, spending
quality time with the babies, and in the evening time,
my wife made a meat loaf and baked some potatoes.
Following that, I found myself watching Jaws and Jaws two consecutively.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
I got hooked.

Speaker 8 (45:24):
I started watching the beginning of Jaws and I had
to pay it off. And then I said to myself, Ah,
you know, I'll just watch the beginning of Jaws two
and then, you know, go do something else. I couldn't
do it, Guys, I love Jaws. I got hooked.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
That sounds a lot like your decision to go on
the pool last night.

Speaker 8 (45:42):
Yeah, yeah, pretty much. Anyway, I did complete Jaws one
and Jaws two, which was a much better movie than
the one that Tim Kates saw and the one that
Matt saw.

Speaker 5 (45:52):
By the way club, I think I have Ronnie losing
to Adam in the quarterfinals.

Speaker 4 (45:57):
So that would be a bitter out. I'd be a
hell of a fight, a lot of anger. I would
hope i'd be eliminated by then so I could watch that.
I have Adam taking you out of having you had
Adam take me out. Yeah, yeah, that's that's anyway. That's
my weekend. What about you?

Speaker 5 (46:09):
Petros Ronnie put up a good fight, though, I think
it went to the second round.

Speaker 3 (46:16):
I had a good weekend. My daughter came home from Hawaii,
so it was nice to see her come back. I
went to yoga. I I don't have a car right
now because like there's some overlap in my lease deal
with working for Toyota, so I'm not allowed to drive
my car. So I have to ask my neighbor to
borrow his car, like like Biff at the end of
Back to the Future, like.

Speaker 4 (46:36):
Hey, he's a guy that's got an extra car.

Speaker 6 (46:42):
Keys, this is me, Biff, say, uh, notice that pickup's
been sitting there, and.

Speaker 4 (46:54):
Yesterday I didn't have I didn't have my car, and uh,
my son had a football scrimmage at Pallas Verdes High School.
So I just walked and it was farther than I thought,
and did you get your son home?

Speaker 3 (47:08):
We got a ride home from one of my rich neighbors,
but same one I borrowed a car from.

Speaker 4 (47:14):
But yeah, that's why you borrowed the car. Five mile.
He gave you five miles.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
Five miles. I made it to the scrimmage only to
watch my son be thrown out for what oh christ
swearing at somebody.

Speaker 4 (47:26):
No that they did good. Scrimmage was good. Okay, So
that's why you got the car. Hey, listen, I can't
be driving your ass around with your son. It's humiliating.
Take the car, drive yourself, I asked, please, please, mister McFly, please,
mister grantite, Can I borrow your Can I borrow your
the one truck you have that you don't even use.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
I'll fill it up. I'm gonna I'll get it washed.
I'm only I only needed for today for Steve. All
I needed is for Steven Baldwin, right, Otherwise you wouldn't
even need it. No, I could go back home and
just walk everywhere I did yesterday five and a half mile.

Speaker 4 (48:03):
Hey, is that your dad? Fletcher? Like three vagabond? I
had a bendole and everything. Did you put your thumb
up sweating. It was hot right in the middle of
the day.

Speaker 5 (48:19):
You know, I thought I timed it up right, but
I had for some reason. It was ten minutes late
to this grimmage. Yeah, I forgot it was five miles.
I thought it was four. It's five miles. You didn't
want to ride a bike.

Speaker 4 (48:31):
I didn't figure about that till I was about halfway there.
But then, how you're gonna get the bike home? You know,
you got to hop in the car with somebody else
to get home. One of those motorized skateboards would have
been pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (48:40):
Don't you have an e bike at your house?

Speaker 4 (48:42):
Several? I don't know how to I don't know how
to work those, but their fire starters. Yeah, I wanted
a couple of them. Are cars.

Speaker 3 (48:50):
Okay, we'll be back with more Petro send money. And
I talked to those Hungarian guys, right more Petro send
money on AM five seventy LA Sports didn't watch the
Last House though.

Speaker 4 (49:00):
For you, then you win the weekend

Speaker 5 (49:03):
