Speaker 3 (01:13):
No, but I might be right, and maybe you're wrong,
and you might have to go home and look in
the mirror and be like, not the right thing. It's
a modello beach a lot of Monday. It's always a
right order for a modello beach a lota, especially if
you're responsible. It's not a real meat if it's not
made with modelo. That's a reward for the people with

Speaker 4 (02:27):
All Right, it is time with the fun fat I
have that here. It's fun and effect. It's yeah, we're three.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Fun fun facts with all the all star excitement and
one of your favorite towns that you've ever lived on.
I'm talking about a great town of Philadelphia.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
Who told you that?
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Well, I know you used to live in Philly and
I know it's a great town. In Continental Congress, Ben Franklin,
I mean, come on, yeah, I ever see that John
Travolta movie where I think it's called Blowout, where that
you remember a sound guy in it. John Lithgow is
the bad guy. Great Philly movie. Okay, whatever. Uh, Philadelphia
a place I've not spent much time, but I know
(03:14):
that it is great.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
My older brother, Passo used to play.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
I'm sure he could probably still kind of figure it out.
A full pipe organ.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
And did you know the world's largest pipe organ and
not only that, the world's largest playable instrument is in Philadelphia. Really,
I'm gonna tell you it's a it's at the Macy's.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
No, it's not. Yeah, well it used to be. It's
the Wanna Maker Organ.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
This guy, Wanna Maker commissioned John Wanna Maker commissioned uh
an art organ company that was here in Los Angeles,
the Los Angeles Art organ Company for the nineteen o
four Saint Louis World's Fair. He said, build me the
(04:09):
biggest organ in the world. And it was featured at
the fair in four.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Well, you're in nineteen oh four, and so nobody since
nineteen oh four has built a bigger organ.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
No.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
And then this dude was like that organ, I'm buying
it and it's going into my awesome department store, and
I'm going to put it in my department store, and
we're going to open the department store and it's going
to be the biggest thing in the history of the world.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
And was it. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
At the nineteen eleven reveal when they put it in
the store, President William Howard Taff.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Showed up, like, well look at that organ.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
It still works. This is them playing it today. It's
no longer. I think it was called the Central Department Store.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
I lived there a whole year, never knew it, never
saw it not on.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
It's now the Macy's. It became the Macy's and six
the Wanna Maker was there in ninety eight. Well you
was still there. I mean it was just a different
name of the department store. But listen to that turn
it up, listen to that thing.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Man, you say you didn't like for look at philadelph
What a place.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
It's a biggest censtrument in the world.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
Man, what sort of impact would this music have on shopping?
Speaker 4 (05:27):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Have you ever been to the freaking Nordstrom When the
piano players going it either makes you want.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
To poop or buy something.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
That's a great That's a great point, because I think
both those things have happened.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
It happened.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Every time I go to a record store or bookstore,
I have to blow it out because I relaxed, and
I enjoyed living around and then I got to blow
it out. Think about the organs shaking your bowels, shaking
the poop down to the lower intest time.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Listen to them.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Forget my ignorance. Is there only one person playing this
or is it multiple?
Speaker 4 (06:10):
It takes one pera It's like all wrapped around.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
But uh yeah, you got the pedals, big ass pedals.
You got all the things you pull on the sides
to open the different.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah flues or whatever.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
And then you got the two levels of And this
was a lot going on with the pipework. That's why
the Wannamaker Oregon in Philadelphia. I don't think it'll be
featured for the All Star Game, and I think that's
a mistake by my colleagues at Fox.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
It's bitten stick.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
What would it take to drag that thing out to
second base, have them get to go?
Speaker 4 (06:43):
No, you set your camera's there? Oh you can't move it? Why?
I don't know. I mean, I guess they haven't moved
it since nineteen oh four, since the World's Fair. But there.
It is a fun fact for everybody. You know. Usually
Matt does the fun fact, but what I do It
we listen to that organ, Yeah, we do. It's time
(07:04):
for the quick hits. Now some do you have this
quick hits? Come make it quick, y'all. Ye.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
The Dodgers are sixty one and thirty five and they're
going into the All Star break losing four or five.
Very upsetting, very upsetting for the listeners. They expect excellence.
They don't like seeing the team lose. They feel like,
you know, it might be a good time to panic.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
But they still have the best record in baseball.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
Oh yeah, still want to ring the alarm pour out
of five?
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Don I mean, that's my whole point. They still have
the best record baseball. They lost four or five.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Yeah, but just think of it like this SoundBite. You know,
this SoundBite is from the.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Movie Doss Boot or Doss Boat.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
You know, a submarine. Think of the baseball season as
a submarine. We can't afford mistakes. We're gonna die. Come on,
it's gonna blow us. You know, we're gonna we're gonna
be crushed under under the water and the pressure.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
You hear that.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
I'm just saying you think of it like that. You
know changes, you know, no room for error when you're
going for back to back to back, okay, And I
can't believe that the Dodgers were able to win a
championship without Don Martin willing them as our GM of
the radio station. I thought that he was part of it,
and I don't know. Tomorrow is the All Star Game
(08:38):
in the National League. Includes three starting Dodgers. The lineup
hats Freddy Freeman batting third, Max Monthly batting fifth, and
Andy Paie has Cuban American batting.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
So that just tells you that they do it by
a kind of seniority. Because Pie is bat second for
the Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Well yeah, not at the beginning of the year, but
he does now, so damn good. But you're right, well,
who builds the lineup, Dave Roberts, So you know, a
little nod of the head to some of the other guys,
that's right. Philly first baseman Bryce Harper has been the
recent subject of controversy involving a cameo video at FanDuel.
(09:19):
He recorded a cameo in November twenty twenty four for
a man named Terry, which could be a chick, but
in this case, I guess it's a man. The message
the Philly Star was told to recite was that his
fan duel vip host wanted to make sure your Thanksgiving
was extra special, So I just wanted to hop on
here and wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.
(09:41):
In a post to his Instagram story, Harper claimed the
video was purchased by someone known only as Brittanny. He
said he did not know how it would be used.
He said that there was a separate business category on
cameo and that his video was purchased as a personal
holiday video. I don't understand that.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
I don't really either. He made he did a video, so.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
He must have used it to promote FanDuel.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
Somehow he did a cameo video.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
No, the guy who bought it used it to promote
a fan duel.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Oh no, well, what are you gonna do?
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Doesn't feel like a salvation issue for Bryce Harper. No,
but you know you got to watch out don that
line with betting and the phones and the apps and
the Draft Kings and the fan duel.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
It's I know.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
I know, you're told when you make it to the
professional level of sports, you try and play as long
as you can and make as much money as you can.
But really, like Bryce Harper doing cameos like that sounds
like kind of below him, right.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yeah, but you know you can never get a you know,
too much going for the future. You know, Mookie Betts
has his podcast and his bold That's one thing if
you're transitioning to a new career. But like cameos, it's
just I'm not onto money. I'm not on cameo.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
You're not.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Oh no, but imagine believe it or not, I'm not either.
Imagine the demand though if I was on cami. The
realigne around the book. Tomorrow is the first semi final
game between France and Spain.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
We'll have it for you at noon.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
On m five seventy no Rogan and Rodney technical difficulties
were being shamed for your political beliefs, for being white.
Johnny Infantino, the president of FIFA, said today that FIFA
(11:39):
will discuss expanding the Men's World Cup.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
To sixty four teams after the success the wild I
wonder why they'd want to do that.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
I would imagine to answer your question, don being that
I've done this for a.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Long time, it would be monetary. No, no, no way,
I'm no way it would have be. It would be
about revenue. And involving I think, I think you're way
off base.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Well they're going to say, we want to involve other countries.
Every nation should have the chance to dream of play
at football's biggest event.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
This year had already expanded to forty eight teams for
thirty two. It was like, wow, how come Messi scored
like six goals in two games.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
It's like, well, they expanded the field more for real?
How come James Madison made.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
The college football playoffs? Well, I can tell you well.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
This World Cup has been a massive success, and alls
they're thinking is well, if we get more teams in here,
we can make it even bigger.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
It'll be even better and we'll make way more money.
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
I mean it seems that way, but I'd have to
look into it a little more, you know, crunch the
numbers like Matt does, figure out that they are making
more money on that on it and then report back.
But yes, on the surface, it does see more games
on TV, more money. There's your reasons right there. It
seems monetary, seems seem I remember we saw a movie.
(13:02):
When I was playing at USC. They used to take
us to a movie every single week. It got kind
of old. Yeah, the night before the game, and even
if we were on the road, but if we were home,
they'd take us to like Paramount because there was some
Paramount executive uncle Hank, who was a big USC donor,
and the team had been going to the same theater
when my dad was playing there. Pete Carroll came and
cut it off. But whatever, I remember. We saw the
(13:25):
movie with Jim Jim Belushi and Ice are Tupac and
it was called Gang Related. And in the movie there
was the line, of course it was not a successful film.
And in the movie there was the line where the
both cops, they play cops, they say, maybe we could
make it look gang related, and that is a that's
(13:49):
kind of how I feel about this in the World Cup,
like perhaps this could be monetary perhaps, And for weeks
after that, you know, anything happened in the football like
we were full pass today, Yeah, but uh could be
game related. Still no decision on whether or not the
Clippers and the Kawhi Leonard will be punished for the
(14:10):
aspiration scandal.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Any insight on that, Adam, Oh wait wait.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Wait, hold on, let me let me cueue this up.
I think I can I can answer that for it.
What I can answer that? Ask ask ask Adam again?
Who works for Adam?
Speaker 5 (14:26):
Any inside on this Kawhi Leonard investigation? Clippers not much.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Some anonymous spokesman said weeks. It could still take weeks.
What it's been ten months? What will happen first?
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Mark Sanchez's stabbing trial which keeps getting kicked down the road,
or the Kawhi Leonard aspiration decision.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
It's a photo. Aaron Donald was at the RAMS facility
over the weekend work it out.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Reportedly, he told the team he wanted to work out
and see how his body felt and reacted doing football activities.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Talk to Jerry Klein about that. Connor McGregor is gonna
have surgery.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
I guess his leg fell off when he fought Max
Holloway at UFC three twenty nine, where Sophie Cunningham took
a break from the w as the ladies call it
to be the ring girl. Well self second career, Sefie
self Well, probably some modeling in her future long jump
(15:30):
shooter that she is. Yeah, what she's a lovely girl. Yeah,
I mean missus to point that finger, Yeah, I like
the finger point. She's from Miszoo. She grew up working
on the farm.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
She's not scared of those big angry ladies. Doesn't seem
like it. You know.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
I have used to have some run ins with the
basketball ladies at USC if there was going to be
a fight over the stereo, and they would try to
bow up like man and try to fight you down,
fight down more and crime.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Sometimes I'd have to ca yeah, you just said stereo.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah, yeah, there was an important moment, and I'd have
to duck behind sometimes a d lineman or an old
lineman to not catch one from one of those front
front court type ladies. You know, the ones in the
front court.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I'm ya.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Those are generally the tall right they want to listen
to DMX and the rest of us are listening to
Lady Smith Black Mambazu.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
It's early in the morning. Get out of here, all right.

Money Show. You know it's not a real meat if
it's not made with a modello. That is a reward
for the fighting spirit. A big thank you to David
Vassaying our only guest today. But tomorrow there are rumors
of Victor Ortiz. The Tito Ortiz rumors turned out to
(18:07):
be Falsey correct, dog.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
But it is time for the secret text us. All
secret text us a fine brought to you by your
so called Toyota dealers. We make it easy. This says dude.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
I was looking at Instagram and saw a video clip
of an old skinny man dancing with an old lady,
and it took me thirty seconds to figure out that
it was Matt Muddy Smith really looks like an f
and skeleton.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
He's not swollen, Sorry, he ain't swollen.
Speaker 5 (18:39):
Well a recent picture, Well, I took.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
A video of Matt dancing with We have an old
lady that shows up in a lot of our shows.
I don't know her name, it's not Isabelle, but there's
an old lady that shows up and she dances hard
like the whole time, like that old lady the whole show, yeah,
pretty much, or during the break, you know, like the
Studio fifty four, that old lady that Dan had an overdose.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Yeah, So here is Matt dancing with the old lady,
and this guy was surprised that it was Matt money Smith.
I believe I took the video of Matt dancing with
the old lady. And you know, Matt has some muscly arms.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
I've always thought with his surfing these days, you know, yeah, hey,
their muscley arm. But that guy's saying that he's not
swollen at all. What are your impressions done?
Speaker 5 (19:25):
He looks pretty thin, but he looks fit. Yeah, I'll
say that.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Yeah, not like vass Hey, yeah, skinny facta uh isn't
zach Elk the intern that disappeared to Thailand and married
a lady boy while on a quote unquote fighting trip. Uh, well,
he did go to Thailand to fight or to be
trained by you know, have him hit his ankles and
stuff like a kickboxer.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
What Zach, you have some intern?
Speaker 3 (19:53):
You weren't an intern. I'm sorry, but you were. You
were kind of involved in a way, right, I mean
you've yes, we no longer have interns. But Zach is
a young guy. But he did go to Thailand. He
did learn to fight. What did or didn't happen with
lady boys or anything like that unconfirmed. I don't know,
(20:13):
you know, I don't know, and I don't know if
he knows either. To be honest, I mean, most people
when they leave Thailand really know what's going on. For
the love of God, don't ask about Jabron Lames.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
That horse is dead and no one cares. Ask Don
about Nicholas Costa Rica. I believe it's Costa Rica, Costa Rica,
the guy who's not from Costa Rica. He's a Serb,
the new UCLA player.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
You said you were gonna research him, Don, because you're
gonna wait till after your vacation.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
Oh yeah, I probably should have. Since I said it
on your show, I probably should.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Have to look to not God. I'll be get right
back to Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
But I think, now that we've discussed it a little bit,
I think I'm just gonna wait until I go to
UCLA practice here in a few weeks and see for
myself with my own two Wise, what.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
About your bron Lames? You think he's do you think
he's gonna go to the Golden State Warriors? You think
he's gonna go to Cleveland? You think he's gonna go
to Memphis, where he loves to hang out.
Speaker 5 (21:11):
I think it doesn't seem likely he would go to Memphis.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Okay, all right, geez, I should I should have opened
that door.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
For you to me.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
The team that's closest right now is Cleveland, and we
know he's looking to finish this thing off with a ring.
So if I had to guess, I don't know anything,
but I wouldn't be surprised if BE wound up in Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Dawn.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
You alleged earlier today that no one on the East
coast knows anything about Aim Michalata this text.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
I was asking that.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
It was good, You're right, and it said I once
went to Disney World in Florida in order to meetch Alada.
Right away, the bartender said, you must be from California.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
There you go, or I can't confirm. I look at that.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
I can't confirm. Tri tip and Michilaa's are not a
thing on the East Coast.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
I've been out in western New York for work since
twenty twenty three.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Also, the authentic Mexican food sucks, as they must be
Canadian Mexicans because it doesn't even come close to Mexican
food in southern California. Well, spending a lot of time
on the East Coast dawn when you're basketball.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
I can back him up on that. When I first
got to Washington to play, I found out immediately there
is no Mexican food on the East Coast, and if
there is, it ain't good. Maybe now that was thirty
years ago. Maybe now, who's to say?
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Fine, brought to you by your so called Toyota dealers.
We make it easy.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
See, we did the tipsy goat my wife and I
last October on my Notre Dame Saturday after our wedding
at Sherwood Notre Dames and the USC Notre Dame. We're
no longer happening. The tipsy goat is bedlam. We only
got to cut the line because we were suited and
booted no less than six hundred and twenty somethings all there,
(23:12):
all came rio types.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
What does that mean? I'm asking you. You're the venture
accounting guy, what does that mean?
Speaker 5 (23:19):
I'm not sure what that means. Well, I guess we're
just gonna be I think I know what it means.
I think kind you too, But you don't want to say.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
It's not for air and some of that'll eat a
lot of Monday on Petro.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Send money and we'll be right back and we'll wrap
it all up and thank everybody at Ronnie Fossio.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Ronnie posts the playlist every night, up every damn night.
Speaker 3 (23:50):

for a taste that's pure gold.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
Thanks for listening, everybody, it's been just said money. But
the one and only Don McClay, a big thank you
to Zach Helk who has uh what is his real
name after he changed it for his comedy days Helkie
and a fully functional employee, Adham.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
And Ronnie Fossio.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Technical difficulties for Rodney today, but I'm not gonna blame
Ronnie for that. But the great Don McClain. What a
wonderful thing to have you here. Donna A Modela meets
a lot of Monday.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
Always enjoy my time, Pete. We help you enjoy your vacation.
Speaker 5 (25:52):

the fighting spirit. Modello the mark of a fighter. Remember,
the Dodgers will be back on Friday. First pitch from
the broadcast booth at four oh five pregame at three
on Friday.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
I will not be working that day. Why take them
the day off? No way I am. I'm taking a
Thursday off and Wednesday off as well. Three days.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
I am taking three days. Wow, I have to go
to do the media day. But that's like a one
day event. But you know, I'm gonna actually let Rogan
and Rodney do their time slot on Friday. They actually
have a real show. I know it's not true, but
I'm gonna let him do. I'm going to allow it.
I'll allow it.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Good for you.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Well, the listeners are gonna bitch in the text do
so and people are gonna have long soliloquies paragraphs about
how you can't take time off and how could you
do this?
Speaker 4 (27:13):
And I'm doing this and how could you? And I'm
tired of people. I hate them all.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
But anyway, thanks for coming out to the event last Friday,
and we'll be back on tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
A fully functional employee. Adam will be helping out.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
A lot of hot NBA talk during the breaks with
Don McClain.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
A little hot talk about Boston.
Speaker 5 (27:50):
Weird though Adam only wants to talk about the Clippers.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
It's the only person in America that wears that hat.
How dare you? You know? What? Right? My god? All right?
Speaker 3 (28:02):
For the dead guy birthday of the day. I thought
this was pretty interesting. Don George Weller a guy from Boston.
Not the basketball player of Boston that you guys were
talking about, but you know, the actual town.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
One hundred and nineteen years old.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
He went to Roxbury High School in Boston, which is
really old.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
Go Foxes.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
And then he went to Harvard, also pretty old. He
was the editor of the Harvard Crimson. When he was there.
He studied acting in Vienna, which I don't know a
lot of people don't know was Don's Don McClain's.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Second career choice. Acting in Vienna.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
It started quickly and ended abruptly.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
When World War two came. It started, you know that,
it ended a lot of things abruptly for a lot
of people. He worked for the Chicago Daily News and
covered the war in many many theaters North Africa, Europe, Asia.
He was so good he won the nineteen forty three
Pulitzer Prize.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
As a war correspondent.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
He wrote about the Belgian campaign in Ethiopia and in
the Belgian Congo versus the Italians.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
And I got to tell you, I didn't really know
that much about that stuff. The first one, I don't
at all, Bright be neither.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I mean, you know, you just you really think about
what happened with the United States in World War Two.
But what you don't think about is like a lot
of other countries involved. Yeah, yeah, I'm not gay, but
there's a lot of people that are. As Dwight Howard
told us, if you remember that, I remember that, Yeah
(29:40):
you do.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Actually I think I do. I'm trying to find it.
I'm not gay, damn it. There's a lot of people
that are.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Anyway, when we blew up Nagasaki and Hiroshima, you're familiar
with those, right, Yes. After Nagasaki was bombed, Doug MacArthur,
who was in charge of it, locked down the area
and censored the whole area, and you couldn't go in
there and write any stories about.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
It or anything.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Well, this guy snuck in impersonated a kernel and really
got in there, spent days and Nagasaki wrote ten thousand
words about what we now know is radiation poisoning. He
said it, but it was censored, never got out after
(30:33):
spending days on the ground in Nagasaki, and eventually leaked
out in parts and then as a whole, and people
got to learn about what actually happened after we dropped
the nuclear bomb. But he won the Pulitzer actually for
an article of an article, a story about him watching
a doctor, not a doctor, just a military guy perform
an emergency appendectomy with a t strainer and spoons.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
No way correct.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
World War two, dogg, it's a different you know, a
different generation. We don't have those kind of ball.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
Hopefully there was some morphine around somewhere.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Kawhi Leonard would have died just watching it.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
His book about Nagasaki as a whole finally was edited
and completed by his son, came out in two thousand
and six, and it was a huge to do.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
When that came out.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
He wrote a few novels also, and a lot of
nonfiction and five plays. Two wives, two kids, one of
them a bastard with a famous Boston ballet teacher who
was his.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
Mistress for thirty years.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
George Weller died in Italy in nineteen or two thousand
and two, in nineteen ninety five. Finally, Pete, excuse me.
He was ninety five when he died in Italy in two.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
Thousand and two. Again, finally used take two.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
I've been coming in here for years, Pee, co hosting
with you or mad and we do this A live guy,
dead guy every estate and no.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
But I never into it than you. You put it.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
You dive into it like Lawrence Olivier would dive into
a role.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Guess what today is your day?
Speaker 5 (32:08):
Because Tim finally gave me somebody that I can actually
that I actually know and can get excited about.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Okay, all right, all right. I didn't know who George
Weller was, but I was interested in.
Speaker 5 (32:20):
No, this guy is happy sixty ninth birthday to Cameron Crow. Okay,
oh yeah, born in Palm Springs, raised in San Diego.
That's not a bad deal.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
Born. I didn't know about the Palm Springs part.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
Yeah, smart kid skipped several grades, graduated high school at
the age of fifteen, went right into music journalism, youngest
ever contributing rider for Rolling Stone, toured with led Zeppelin,
Dylan Neil Young sub twenty years old touring with with

what those movies were about. Yeah, almost famous. After his
extensive run in music journalism fever, he went under cover
as a high school student to write a book about
teenage life.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
You know what dad adapted.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
Into I do as a matter of fact, all right, Hamilton, Yeah,
I sure did Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I would
say that that movie had a That movie had an
influence on my early years.
Speaker 4 (33:37):

all of it. pH uh.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
He quickly transitioned into direct manipulating himself.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
Anyboddy effing knock anymore?
Speaker 4 (33:52):
Yeah, that's how I feel.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Made his directorial debute debut with The The Eighties Great
Say Anything.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (34:06):
His films are highly noted for their specific characteristics, deeply
personal narratives, rock heavy pop soundtracks, single parent, Households, and
Lovable Misfits. Sounds like a pretty good, pretty good, blueprints
for pretty good.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
Yeah for a great eighties movie.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
Kidding me throw a transcrode on Q Sack another another
movie that might have influenced some of my musical choices
way back when the movie single.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
Yeah with the X Man, Oh yeah, Vanilla Sky two
thousand and one, it's a classic movie.
Speaker 5 (34:44):
Elizabethtown two thousand and five.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Vanella Skuys sucked. Elizabethtown was terrible.
Speaker 5 (34:49):
We bought a zoo never even heard of it was?
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Yeah, he's also can I tell you what they did
in the movie we he bought a zoo?
Speaker 4 (35:00):
You want to know they bought a zoo? Oh yeah, hey,
what do you think happened? And we bought a zoo?
Like that's by us.
Speaker 5 (35:20):
He's also responsible for the movie Jerry Maguire, Yes, nineteen
ninety six.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
That was a good movie. That was a good movie.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
I would still watch it if I bump into it
on like when I'm flipping maguire.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
Oh yeah, yeah, it depends on where you run into it. Yeah.
I don't want to see Jerry O'Connell though, I'm tired
of that freaking guy. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
A few years ago published his memoir The Uncool, which
chronicles his years as a teenage rock journalist. It's been
married once to Nancy Wilson Right, she wrote, did not
know that she wrote most of the stuff for.

twenty seven years younger than I What a Dirty Dog,

got too excited for Cameron Crown.
Speaker 3 (37:06):

growing up and you wish you were cool, and you're
following around Neil Young and everybody, and then you get
to be a big time director and you toss out
your old, chewed up piece of gum rock star wife
and you pick up a young, taut, energetic, hip thrusting
(37:26):
