Anthony and the Three Things You Need to Know to
get your Friday, August sixteenth started while the Teachers' Union
is now saying that the defibrillator at Marshall Middle School
was not working. This was the school where there was
a tragedy earlier this week. A tragic way to begin
(00:24):
the school year. Fourteen year old land and Peytment collapsed
at Marshall Middle School, passed away later at the hospital.
Now his dad, Alexis, wants answers. They know that it
was very hot in the gymnasium where paramedics were working
on him, and now we're learning about the defibrillators. It's
a great chance for schools to be prepped and ready,
(00:46):
especially in these hot conditions. And here we go again,
it's hot and the power goes out. Yep, Center Point Energy.
This time it was at Mission Ben. Residents forced to
be without power for two days. Center Point gave them
no warning. Apparently the power went out in the morning.
Then fifteen minutes later they got a message from Centerpoint
(01:07):
that they're working on that resiliency contingency planned by August thirty.
First they bought to get it that ready, so the
power goes out. Then they learn about the power going out.
They said it'll be on in a couple of hours.
A couple of hours later, it ended up being two days.
And so Center Points got to work on its communication.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
When it's triple digits out too.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Especially when it's triple digit. Yeah, and this is going
to be so exciting. The big game, a preseason game
Texans n RG. Now remember the roof, it's damaged after
Hurricane Beryl. There are two big panels missing. So NRG
and the Texans are saying dress accordingly because you're going
to be exposed to the heat and great if possible,
(01:48):
and because the roof will be partially open. And the
game time's at noon once again, it's the Texans preseason
against the Giants tomorrow at noon. And your weather today
is going to be high and tomorrow too. Today ninety seven, tomorrow,

it's eighty two and uptown and we hope you make

and nineties weekend, just fun songs, you know, and music
we even learned. I think it was two weeks ago, Anthony.
The thing that makes going to work better music go right.
Music with us so good. So that's how we try
to give you hope and make you feel good. And
we're asking you on this feel good Friday, think about
your week. Did anything happen to you that made you
(05:00):
feel good? Maybe you went out of your way and
did a random act of kindness. And so often when
we give more than received, we feel really good too.
We're the ones that like, really benefited exactly exactly. And
we've got ted calling in from the woodlands. Now you're
in car sales. Did you make someone feel good this
week or did they make feel good?
Speaker 3 (05:21):
You know what, I make people feel good every day.
I'm at that age where I just want to I
just want to live the rest of the years of just,
you know, just being happy. And if other people around
me are happy, then I'm gonna be happy.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
All right. Wait a minute, Wait a minute, Ted, Now,
how did we reach this point? Because this is pure
wisdom here.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
How did we reach this point? My thing is like,
I looked back at situations. I said, you know, I
could have handled that a little bit differently. I could
have done something or said something and made that go
another direction. And you know, once I'm faced against that again,
I don't you know, I want to make the right decision.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
That is wow. Yes, all right. Now do you have kids?
Speaker 3 (05:56):
I have three, got to turn to twenty eight and
an eighteen.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
If they were to talk about their dad, Ted, what
do you think they would say that you taught them
that really affected their life?
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Oh gosh, look forward, don't look back. Look forward. Just
you can always turn that switch off. It's up to you.
You don't have to look back. You can always look forward.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
That's excellent, really very simpous, oh yet very profane, it is, Ted,
You're I'm so glad you're a Sunny listener.
