Anthony National Pizza Week. Anthony, when you've got kids, pizza
is a must. It's just so convenient, it tastes so
great it does. How does pizza factor into your life?
(05:06):
My son has started this pizza poker. Every Sunday afternoon
at four, he makes us pizza and the deal is
for me to go to his house. It's got to
be ready before the poker. I want to eat the
pizza for the poker. He gets sour dough dough and
puts all every week. We never know what he's gonna
put on it, like, and I always bring this is crazy.
(05:28):
I bring a bag of arugula lettuce. I love putting
lettuce on top of pizza.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Really, you're one of those big jam with cheese on it.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
He could have the traditional pepperoni, he could have preshudo,
but I always have my my I feel like that's
making it healthy.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
No, that's like the what is it the the margarita
pizza that has that kind of you know, set up
on it. I like that that version of pizza too.
That's really good.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
When the kids were little, it was pizza Friday nights,
and it was like Domino's. It was Papa John. But
now the kids are adults and they're making this.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Really good pizza, this artisan craft pizza, which is also good.
I'll take pizza no matter what SETI kind. There's room
for the Dominoes, and there's room if you want to
jazz it up and get fancy with it. I'll eat
that dube accout. I'm not picking with my pizza.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Maybe last night while you were watching the.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Text, oh just sure fload in Pittsburgh. That was an
amazing game, thirty to six, ten consecutive wins.
Speaker 2 (06:27):

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I wonder if everyone at NRG.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
I wonder what they were eating out there, if they
had pizza or what what the watch party gave us?
Oh right, yeah, like restaurants open. I don't know how
that was totally sold out. They must have had an
absolute blast. And what about you pizza in your life?

(07:27):
lots of people eating pizza taking advantage of the Pizza

got Gail calling in from northwest Houston. Gail, how does
pizza like work into your life?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Well?
Speaker 1 (07:40):
I eat pizza all the time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Oh lot, do you heat it up or do you
have leftover cold pizza?
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Well, you know, it just depends on what time, what
type it is. If it's cheese, oh have it cold.
But if it had like all the fixings on it,
I have to heat it.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah yeah, actually making me so hungry. So where do
you go to get your pizza? Do you make your own?
Speaker 2 (08:10):
You know what?
Speaker 3 (08:10):
I have this kit that I bought from Marshalls. It
had like the recipes in it and then it.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Had like a piece of board when you put kind
of like a brick.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
Iron, and then you put whatever you want on.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
It, the sauce, the cheese, all the fixings of vegetables.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
You just put it in the oven and then you
take it out when it's ready. It's fantasy. Yeah, what
are your favorite? Very easy? Yeah, it sounds great. You know,
I like to put belled peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, hamburg everything,
(08:50):
put it on the pizza.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
That is incredible. What kind of cheese you do? Just
regular mazzerella cheese.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Yes, just regular mazzerella cheese. But you know what, sometimes
I do put the cheddar on there. I know this
may sound weird, but I know people who love putting
fruit on pizza.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
The pineapple pizza is a big yes, right, pineapples is
a musk, the sweet and the salty salty.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yes, it does work though, that's amazing.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
And so while Gail's doing a sweet and salty pizza,
I'm thinking you might be doing a dessert pizza too.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Every now and again. You know what, I haven't tried
it yet.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
You know you do?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
You put nutella on it, with a little bit of
powdered sugar on the pizza dough, eat it up, a
little bit of butter. Oh my god, Gail, right, oh yeah, yeah, it's.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Very thank you. You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Well, we just wanted to celebrate Pizza week and uh,
you know, watching the Texans last night, my husband was
eating pizza like I gotta go to bed. I'm not
eating pizza before bed. But it was just such an
exciting game, and I'm thinking the next big Pizza Night
is probably.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Take on New England.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah yeah, well, Gail, thanks so much for sharing, and
thank you for listening.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
I was sure you welcome.
