Pleasure Pier now knowing what caused that roller coaster to
stop in the air, stranding eight students who were there
for a school trip. They were stuck in the air
for four hours. It was a censor failure that was

failed to be detected. So it's like one of those things.
It's the Iron Shark. Now, Pleasure Peer is open, but
the Iron Shark remains closed until further notice. So scary.
And those firefighters, Anthony, you mentioned them, and tell you
something good yesterday? How they were engaged in conversation to
keep the kids calm, and now some of them want

to be firefighters. It's amazing. How cool is that? All Right?
So the fun at FEE fun. Now, there's going to
be lots of fun at the games at Houston Stadium,
but there's going to be even more fun for all

going to be local food, the global crowd. It's all
free and open to the public, but if you want,

are safe thanks to these big hearted firefighters. In spring See,
a kitten fell down a storm drain. Residents in the
areas saw it happen. They tried to reach the kitten,
couldn't do it. You know, what do you do? They
called for help and a spring fire department arrived. Jonathan

Lumpkin brought that little kitten out safely. The family that
saw it happen are now taking care of it. I
loved that, and Anthony, I don't know if you remember,
but the Hairland firefighters a couple of weeks ago rescued
some baby ducklings that were trapped in a storm. Like
no rescue is too small for these big hearted fire

I love that. Producer Anthony daines some really good news
for our animal lovers and furrey friends. There's an animal
rescue in Galveson County. It's called Save Rescue, Fix Your Pet.
They have spade and neuter twenty four thousand dogs and
cats already, and now they're gonna be able to do
even more. They were recently awarded a grant where it's
one hundred and fifty thousand dollars courtesy of Pet smart charities.

This grant money will ultimately mean fewer dogs and cats
on the streets and in shelters. The low cost spay
and neuter clinic is located in Santa Fe, but residents
from surrounding counties are welcome in with no questions asked.
And in addition to fixing dogs and cats, the clinic
offers a wide range of wellness services at low prices.
It's great news for Galveson County at to save rescue.
More of our furry friends are going to be able

me talk about Waller County, the second fastest growing county

this morning, parents think nine and a half is the
perfect age to teach the kids to do the laundry. Sure, yeah,

we wanted to find out from you, because what a
burden mom or dads that takes off your schedule. If
the kids learn to do their own laundry, because here's
what happens. I bet they are much more conservative in
pulling out all their clothes to figure out what to
wear if they know they've got to do a big
load of laundry.

Right. Yeah, ours was really necessity my parents had, just
like my mom was on her own at that point.
There was three of us and she was working overnights.
It was literally like a function of I can't get
to all this, I need you to pitch in.

Time, like I remember, it wasn't so much and I
know some kids maybe would be averse to it, but
I remember there was part of me that was like, oh,

It was something I got to do, like because again
it was just something more mature at the time for.

My mom was kind of a control freak. She did
it all. But now I just I love folding laundry.
