reality TV and I'm thinking The Bachelorette.

Unfortunately he was just eliminated.

There's some people down in Galison working on a cool
documentary on the Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe. If you didn't
know this Old Quarter, it's old originally in Houston back
in the sixties and now is a present location near
the Strand that opened in the nineties and it is
a long story history. Joel Moore is the current owner,
says he has hours of footage enough to easily blow
past the two hour mark, maybe even make this thing

(03:12):
a series. He's opened a rap filming up and begin
editing by the end of this year. He's also working
with the Galveston Historic Downtown Cultural Arts District to map
out an event they're calling the Old Quarter Songwriter Festival,
tentatively scheduled for November next year. Which he envisions as
Galveston's next must go to festival. It's really cool, especially
with that prequel nineteen twenty three filming down the island

(03:33):
right now, and then this guy putting together this new
documentary and festival. Keep an eye out for our own
Galveston Island getting the spotlight.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
It so definitely deserves. They really are, aren't they. It's
so cool.

Speaker 1 (03:43):

And I'm like, there we go, and we're asking you
to We've got candor calling in.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Now you've used alarms. How many do you use to
wake up?

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Well, I said it three, but typically I'm up on
the first one. All right, So you said three three
different times? And do you ever wake up before the
alarm goes off?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Well? Just for it? And by how much?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Because sometimes I set my alarm for two forty five
and sometimes I'm wide awake at one thirty and I'm going,
why what is going on?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Well? It was probably about fifteen minutes before. It's like,
my body knew it was gonna get it was gonna
go off. But I have an alarm like that says
I need to get up, and then I have one that.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Says like, okay, this is it, you have to get
up now, and then I have one that says you
about to leave for work.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
It's such a rip off when your alarm goes off
fifteen minutes before. No, when you wake up fifteen minutes
before the alarm goes off, because yeah, it's not it's
silly to go back to sleep.

do you have to wake up in the morning? Well,
the kids just started school, so I have to get
up earlier. So now I have to get up at

Yeah, the first day, I'm going straight to the coffee.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
It's actually the coffee is the reason I wake up
in the morning.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
That's my motivation. What are we talking about candor and
how's everyone de When did the kids go back to school? Yesterday?
It was the first ding. Oh, we're good. They all
had good things to say. That's excellent.
