Ben Pearson - "Kabul24" Documentary Director
Ben Pearson is an acclaimed photographer and filmmaker with numerous awards, honors, and gallery shows to his credit. He has made his home in Nashville for the last twenty-eight years, where he lives with his wife Elaine. Besides his long standing career as a freelance photographer Ben co-wrote and directed the cinematography for the dramatic feature The Second Chance (2006 – Sony Pictures Releasing). In the fall of 2009 Pearson made his directorial debut with the feature-length documentary Kabul 24, a riveting account of the eight Western aid workers captured and held hostage by the Taliban in the weeks prior to 9/11. In 2012 he co-wrote and directed the cinematography for the screen adaptation of the New York Times best selling memoir Blue Like Jazz. Currently Ben is working on a series of paintings for an upcoming show in Memphis in 2019.
