Donnie Maib began his coaching career at the University of Colorado in 1994 where he worked with E. J. "Doc" Kreis until 1997. Coach Maib trained all varsity teams while at Colorado, where he helped many athletes obtain All-Conference as well as All-American accolades. From 1998 until the present, Coach Maib has been at the University of Texas, where he is currently the top assistant under the direction of Coach Jeff Madden. While at Texas, Coach Maib has worked with a variety of sports including, Football, Women's Track, Men's and Women's Golf, Men's Tennis, and Women's Volleyball. In 2005, with Coach Maib's support, the University of Texas football team won the National Championship in the Rose Bowl. Under his direct supervision, Women's Track won National Championships in both their indoor and outdoor seasons in 1999. Also under his direct supervision, Men's Tennis won a Big XII conference championship in 2006, and most recently, Women's Volleyball won the Big XII conference champio
