Jane’s guest today is Bob Harper, one of the most successful lifestyle experts in the world with numerous New York Times best sellers on health and fitness to his credit. But even given his incredible fitness level, that we all saw in the sixteen seasons that he was a star trainer on the hit show, The Biggest Loser, he suffered a severe heart attack that forever changed his life. Through his personal experience as a heart attack survivor, Bob speaks openly about his personal experience and the importance of heeding the warning signs. To that end, he has partnered with AstraZeneca to launch Survivors Have Heart, a website dedicated to educating those who have had a heart attack about the importance of working with their healthcare provider to create a plan and stay committed to it. Jane will also be speaking with renowned cardiologist Dr. Warren Wexelman. The Founding Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation & Exercise Program at Maimonides Medical Center, a faculty member of the NYU Langone School of Medicine and Medical Center and the President of the American Heart Association in Brooklyn, Dr. Wexelman will discuss what constitutes a healthy lifestyle, and the necessary steps to take to either prevent a heart attack from happening to begin with, or limit the damage it can do to your heart.
