What if everything falling apart right now is actually proof that your intention is working?

After two months off the air, Bri returns with a raw, honest update on where she's been — and why the silence has been anything but stagnant. She shares the behind-the-scenes reality of what it truly looks like to commit to greatness, including the grief, the uncertainty, and the sacred discomfort of outgrowing your own life.

In this episode, you'll learn:
  • Why the beginning of a new intention often looks like everything unraveling — and what it actually means
  • The difference between things falling apart and things falling away
  • Why you cannot hold onto what is good if you are committed to what is great
  • The King and the Jester story that reframes every perceived loss in your life
  • How to shift the one question that changes everything
  • Why going back is never actually an option — and why that's a gift

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, friends, Welcome back to Big Goal Energy. This is
going to be possibly a quick episode. I have not
put out an episode since the beginning of the year.
It has been almost two months since putting out a
new episode, and I wanted to share just some of
the behind the scenes stuff that's going on as to
why I haven't been sharing my voice and where I've been.

(00:21):
I also have not been on socials, and I shut
down my newsletter and I haven't been posting on some stacks.
So what is happening. You were never meant for a
small life. You have bold ideas, audacious dreams and visions
that keep you up at night. But the truth is
big goals don't come with step by step instruction, and

(00:41):
success doesn't come from doing more. It comes from becoming more.
Welcome to Big Goal Energy, a podcast for high achieving
women who are done shrinking, striving, and second guessing and
are ready to defy reality in pursuit of the life
they actually watch. I'm your hostess, Free Sealy, the goal Architect,

(01:01):
subconscious Strategist, and your permission slip to want what you want.
Join me as we go beyond the service level success
to explore the mindset identity and inner work required to
bring your biggest, most delulu goals to life. This is
your space to be seen, to be expanded, and to
remember that you are not alone on this journey. Let's

(01:21):
get into it. If you saw my last episode, you
saw that it was all about my feet for twenty
twenty six, and my theme for twenty twenty six is
how great can I stand it? Now? I do this
every year where I pick up the The thing that
I always forget, pretty much consistently every single year is

(01:44):
that the beginning of my year is always the universe
showing me the ways that I am not aligned with
the intention that I just set. The universe has been
revealing to me, illuminating left, right and center, all of
the areas of my life, all of the things in
my life that are not aligned with this intention of

(02:07):
greatness that I have now put out into the world
as much as I thought be quote unquote shedding from
the Year of the Snake, and or I don't know,
is this a midlife crisis? I don't know. I keep
thinking it's over. I keep thinking it's over, and then
I do things like raise my threshold for greatness and
the universe is like game on. I bring this up

(02:29):
partially one to tell you that, like I'm still in
the thick of it, I feel like I'm still about waste,
deep in the mud, trying to really get clear and
figure out what the next steps are and how I'm
moving forward. But I also say it to say that
as humans, we have a tendency when things are quote
unquote falling apart, to think that it's a bad thing,

(02:51):
to think that if our life is falling apart, therefore
it is bad and it is wrong. I actually was
talking to a girlfriend this week and she said, I
just want to get back. I want to get back
to the days. I want to get back to the times.
I want to get back to the life. And all
I could think of when I was on the phone
with her was, I don't think there is any going back,

(03:12):
And truthfully, do we really want to go back? Would
you really truly want to go back to a simpler time,
or to a different age, or to a different era
of your life. Personally, I would not. I would not.
I think that my life just keeps getting better and better.
I'm not interested in necessarily looking backwards. But in order

(03:36):
for me to move forwards's just a lot of things
that don't fit in my life anymore. One of them
last year was my business. My health has completely transformed,
My relationships are completely transforming. My living situation is completely transforming.
If you're watching this on YouTube, you can see that
I am in a very unfamiliar place because I'm house

(03:57):
sitting in Saint Louis. I just think it's so important
that we recognize when things are falling apart, quote unquote,
that is not an invitation to go backwards. It's not
an indication anything is wrong. It's not an indication our
life is over. It's not an indication that we're doing

(04:18):
anything poorly or badly. Speaking for myself, I can say
it's an indication that I'm asking for more. I am
actively building a bigger container to be able to hold
more greatness. And if I want to hold more greatness
in my life, I can't have things in my container

(04:39):
that are taking up space that are not great. This
reminds me of a story that I was told almost
eleven years ago, now that I have also taught and
also just held on too in my journey, and that
is if you've been a client of mine, you know
that this is good story. There used to be this king,
and this king rolled over the land, but he didn't

(05:01):
have a queen, he didn't have a partner. He was alone.
All of his family had passed. So he befriended the
jester that sat next to him every single day because
there's no one else. The king is sitting all day,
every day next to this jester. The people of the land,
the place in which he rules, come they ask him
for the things they need. They talk to the king,

(05:22):
and the jester always responds back, this is good, this
is really good. And the king thought it was a
little weird, but whatever. He doesn't have a lot of choices,
so he stays friends with the jester. The king goes
on his annual hunting trip and he decides to bring
the jester with him because he goes alone usually and
he's sick of being alone, so he brings the jester.
The king and the jester are out hunting and he

(05:43):
sees a big buck and the king takes aim. He
goes to shoot his rifle and it backfires and it
blows his them off. The jester looks at the king
and says, this is good, this is really good, and
the king flies off the handles at him and says,
how dare you, how dare you think that this is
a good thing? I just lost my thung guards banish him,

(06:07):
Banish the jester to the deepest, darkest hole of the castle.
I don't want to see him ever again. The guards
take the gester, they put him in the deepest, darkest
hole of the castle, and he's never to be seen again.
Fast forward one year, the king goes out on his
annual hunting trip again. This time goes alone with his guards,
but alone because now his only friend is banished. And

(06:29):
he gets separated from his guards and he's out in
this forest by himself, trying to find his way back,
and he gets surrounded by a pack of cannibals. They
tie him up, they bring him back to their camp.
They're getting ready to put him on the spit roast
him up for dinner, and as one of the men
is tying his hands up, he realizes that the king's

(06:50):
thumb is gone. He drops to his knees and he
starts worshiping him, and then all of the other people
drop to their knees and start like praying to him,
and the king very confused. Now somehow one of them
explains to him they don't eat bodies that aren't whole,
so they let the king go. The king finds his
way back to the guards and says, oh, my God,

(07:11):
take me to the jester. The King goes with the
jester in the deepest, darkest hole of the castle and says,
I was so wrong? Can you ever forgive me? And
the Jester looks at him and says, this is good,
This is really good. And the King is like, dude,
what is up? What is up with that story? Why

(07:31):
do you say that everything is good all of the time.
The Jester looked at him and said, if I had
been with you, they'd be eating me right. I've thought
about this story a lot over the last eleven years,
but it's been especially poignant over the last eighteen months
as I continue to get more and more aligned with

(07:53):
what I need in my life, the business model that's
going to support me in what I need in my
life and also going to let me make the biggest
impact in the world, the kinds of relationships I want
in my life, where I want to live, how I
want my life to be. I just keep consistently raising
this threshold, and because I'm doing that. Like I said before,

(08:15):
anything that's taking up space that is not aligned with
that threshold of greatness that I've set for myself has
to fall away. It has to fall away. It is
literally a principle of manifestation. If you are no longer
in vibrational frequency, vibrational resonance with the things in your life,
they have to fall away. They have to I could

(08:38):
look at those things and say, oh my god, I
just blew my thumb off. How is this a good thing?
Or I can look at the quote unquote loss of
all of those things and say, how is this happening
for me? How is my commitment to greatness in my

(08:59):
life elevate everything? How is my decision to claim more
greatness in the world not only for myself, but also
for the people that I'm working with, for the platform
I'm building, for the co founder I'm bringing on, for
the people in my life, for the people that my
life gets to touch. How is all of this rearranging

(09:22):
happening for me? I have not been present on my substack,
on my socials, in my podcast because I've been navigating
a lot of feelings. All of this is not to
say that I'm not still having feelings about these things.
I am processing deep amounts of grief. I am processing
deep questions about how to truly live from the inside out.

(09:44):
I'm processing who do I want to be in the
world when I build my next company? What is the
legacy I'm leaving behind? And in order to do that,
I am having to spend a lot of time alone.
I'm having to spend a lot of time journaling in
metas citations and crying a lot in a really beautiful way.

(10:04):
Wanted to share this with you because if you set
an intention for twenty twenty six and right now maybe
it looks a little bit like it's not working. I
want to present you with a question, what if it is?
What if it is working. What if the things that
are falling away, the things that look like they're falling apart, crumbling,

(10:26):
what if it's happening for you. What if you letting
go of those things is actually bringing you closer the
goals and visions that you have. And what if your
only job right now is to let go. What if
in releasing those things, it is what you need to

(10:46):
make space for the greatness that you're calling in your life,
for the relationships that you're calling in your life for
the revenue, the business models, the I don't know what
your goals are, but generally, if we are aiming for greatness,
you can't hold on to what's only good. But good
has to go. You have to sacrifice the good. If

(11:10):
you are committed to the great, I certainly hope you
are admitted to the great. I am committed to the great.
You don't quite know what that means fully yet. I'm
working on it, processing it, I'm investigating it. I'm curious
about it, and I hope you are too. And I
just want you to remember above all else, if the
first two months of the year don't look like your

(11:32):
intention is manifesting, don't look like your goals are coming
to fruition, stay committed. Keep going now. It's not the
time to turn back. There is no back. We're not
going that way. We're not going back. We're only going forward.
Stay committed, know with certainty that the intentions that you

(11:52):
have made are coming to pass. This just has to
fall away in order to make space for that. Thank
you for joining me for an extra short episode of
