An hour before Matthews was killed down here, a copp
arrested Bill Bronson uptown and he's been in jail since.

When Bill Bronson diver on the sunken ship with its
long lost cargo of gold, his partner Larry Matthews cut
his air hose and lines and left him for dead,
but Bronson miraculously lived and swore vengeance on Matthews. The
diver's sister, knowing of her brother's plan, came to Blackie
for help. But before Blackie could get to Matthews, someone

else got to him with a gun, and it wasn't
Bronson because Bronson was in jail.

Henry Waltham, who was with Matthews when he was shot,
was having a bullet wound dressed by a doctor.
