Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, everybody. This is Marlene with Earing News, and today
is a great day for weird stuff, like every day.
You know, some days it's weirder than others, but it's
always a good day for earing news. So we're going
to start off with a peak at how's this how
(00:22):
sometimes weird is in your face and you just don't
see it for what it is. Okay. First story out
of Stranger in Fiction Stories is titled Dark and Perverse.
Here we go. The Son of Sam Case blazed across
national headlines over forty five years ago. Our first glance,
(00:43):
it appears to be the story of a crazed man
who murdered strangers for one year in different parts of
New York. However, there was something much darker and perverse
at the heart of who committed the murders and what
motivated them. Between July nineteen seventy six and July nineteen
seventy seven, six people were shot to death and seven
others were wounded in New York City, and it all
(01:05):
appeared to be random. The city, which had been held
in terrorbly the sigh of relief when a twenty five
year old Jewish man, a resident of Yonkers, was arrested,
it was easy to believe that he was crazy when
he claimed his neighbour's black laboratory named Harvey was possessed
by an ancient demon who instructed him to carry out
the killings. Fifteen years after his arrest, David Berkowitz, dubbed
(01:29):
the Son of Sam by the press, was interviewed by
journalist Morgan Terry, who had been investigating the case from
the first murder and wrote a book by the time
of the interview titled The Ultimate Evil Investigation of America's
Most Dangerous Satanic Cult. In nineteen ninety seven, when Berkowitz
was serving multiple life sentences, set down with Terry to
(01:51):
talk about the killings. He'd found Jesus and called himself
the Son of Hope, perhaps because he knew he could
never be parolled or perhaperhaps because he truly had become
a Christian. He didn't deny he killed innocent people, and
he got what he deserved. However, one thing that he
affirmed was that he did not act alone, and the
murders were not random. On the contrary, they were carried
(02:14):
out by a highly organized Satanic cult whose aim was
ritual human sacrifices. Terry's book agreed with Burkowitz's claim that
he had belonged to an occult network and that they
had committed some of the murders. Despite the many verifications
that Terry had found while researching the book, he wanted
to hear directly from Berkowitz that he was correct. One
(02:35):
of the theories he posited was that the murder of
Stacy Moskowitz in nineteen seventy seven was filmed by someone
hiding in a van. This alone, if true, would discount
the story carried forward by the newspapers and the police
department that the son of Sam was just one man.
Was the filming of moscowitz murder also circulated as snuff
(02:56):
material in underground circles. Terry asked Burkowitz about van, and
he answered, quote Berkowitz, there was some filming going on.
Somebody wanted to film it for somebody else or whatever. Terry,
are you stating to me then, that they made a
stuff film from that van of the shooting of straits,
Stacy Moscowitz and Robert Volante Berkowitz, Maybe that's what you
(03:21):
can call it, Terry. Was this the cult group itself
that was responsible for the son of Sam murders or
was there something else that went on? Berkowitz, there was
another group, a more lead group, hidden into it and
woven into it, you know. End quote. I'm sorry not
(03:41):
end quote. It keeps going, Terry. What are the kinds
of crime did they commit? Well, having drug trafficking and
other things involving children, Terry, involving children, what do you mean?
What kind of business were they in? You're telling me
the process was producing child pornography? Is that what you're saying?
(04:05):
And providing children? End Burgowitz's clarified he belonged to a
coven called the Children aka twenty two Disciples of Hell,
which was infiltrated by an elite group that pushed them
into the dark side. Prior to Burkowit's arrest, the police
produced a sketch based on witness descriptions of what appeared
to be different persons. In an interview, Burglewitz confirmed that
(04:29):
the suspect on the top right was actually a high
level woman who came from out of town to take
part in the ritual killings. Many of them closely resembled
other members of his coven. Based on his research, Terry
believed the group might have been the Processed Church of
Final Judgment. The cult was founded in nineteen sixty three
(04:50):
by Robert born Robert Moore in nineteen thirty four I'm
Sorry nineteen thirty five and Mary Anne MacLean Moore, the
Grimston de Payer in England. After they split from the
Church of Scientology, they reinvented themselves and adopted the surname
of Grimston. The pair opened Satan's Cavern, an all night
(05:12):
coffee shop that was visited by film and music celebrities.
They fled from England and spent time in Mexico and
the Bahamas. They came to the United States via Mexico
in nineteen sixty eight and became influential and opened chapters
in the United States and Canada before going underground during
the nineteen seventies. According to Marey Terry, the Processed Church
(05:34):
was part of a much wider network of secret societies
that have existed for centuries. After Terry's last question about
activities involving children, the producer stopped the interview. It was
undeniable that this group was involved in activities beyond random
killings in the flurry. After Berkowit's arrest, not many wanted
to look closely at the sketches made by police. Based
(05:57):
on eye witness accounts, none of them look like David Burkowitz.
Perhaps because the police department would be unable to close
the case, which they had been criticized for being unable
to solve, they ignored the obvious, which was that all
the clue surroundings these murders had elements of witchcraft and
black magic. Once he was arrested, Berkowitz started to leak
(06:18):
out what others suspected, which was that he had not
acted alone. However, he had to be careful because if
he ratted out any of the cult members, not only
would they kill him, his family would be targeted as well.
In nineteen seventy nine, Berkowitz pen a letter to a
preacher in California which write quote, I really don't know
how to begin this letter, but at one time I
(06:38):
was a member of an occult group being sworn to
secrecy or face death. I cannot reveal the name of
the group, nor do I wish to. This group contained
a mixture of Satanic practices which included the teachings of
Aleister Crowley and Elifus Levy. It was and still is
totally blood oriented, and I am certain you know just
what I mean. The coven's doctrines are a blend of
(07:01):
ancient juidism, the teachings of the Secret Order of the
Golden Dawn, black magic, and a host of other unlawful
and obnoxious practices. As I said, I have no interest
in revealing the coven, especially because I have almost met
sudden death on several occasions, once by half an inch,
and several others have already perished under mysterious circumstances. These
(07:23):
people will stop at nothing, including murder. They have no
fear of man made laws or the Ten Commandments. I
think it is imperative that I educate certain people, the
people whose job it is to clean up after this coven.
Of course, I am talking about the authorities. Actually it
is my duty as a citizen of this planet to
do so, but it would be up to those concerned
(07:45):
people to do their own investigating. Knowing the fearlessness and
dedicationist group possesses, I fear greatly from my family. To
break away completely is impossible because of a pact each
new member signs in his own blood. Also, each which
new and carefully screened recruit supplies a picture or pictures
of all his or her family members, plus their addresses.
(08:08):
These items are used, if necessary, as tools for blackmail, coercion,
and eventually physical harms should one attempt to betray the group.
The children the coven Berkowitz belonged to met at night
at ud Untermeyer Park and Yonkers. Here they would perform
black masses and offer ritual sacrifices. Along the old Croton
(08:30):
Aqueduct trail, they would meet at a derelict pumphouse called
the Devil's Cave. It stood in an area near the
old columns and the abandoned ruins of the Gatehouse. Several animals,
mostly German shepherds, were found killed in the park. It
remains a mystery what or who else might have been
sacrificed here. There are rumors that young boys may have
(08:50):
been buried in the park, but no evidence of that
has ever been found to back up that claim. The
park's main entrance is at nine four five North Broadway
and sits between North Broadway formerly Albany post Road to
its east and Warburton Avenue to the west. The land
was originally owned by the Bulmer family in eighteen sixty
(09:11):
eight Graystone of State, A ninety nine room mansion was
built on thirty three acres by Thomas John Thomas Waring.
He also increased a property to sixty three acres. In
eighteen seventy six, mister Waring suffered a reversal of fortune
and was forced to sell the estate. In eighteen seventy nine,
Samuel Jones Tilden, one time governor of New York, bought
(09:36):
it for one hundred and fifty thousand dollars. He added
forty six acres to the property. He lived there until
his death in eighteen eighty six. Then for the next
ten years ownership of the property remained in limbo due
to a delay in executing his will. In eighteen ninety nine,
Samuel Ontemeier bought Graystone Estate. He was the son of
(09:56):
German Jewish immigrants, and he practiced law New York. By
then he was married and had three children. From nineteen
hundred to nineteen forty he added one hundred and fifty
acres to the estate. He purchased the Dunkragen Mansion, which
was adjacent to the acreage, and converted the land to
beautiful gardens based on the same design of those at
Hampton Court in England. He died in nineteen forty and
(10:19):
left the estate to the City of New York, who
originally refused it, claiming the cost of maintaining it would
be too much. However, the city went on to open
it in nineteen forty two, but only forty three acres.
The remaining land was used for Saint John's Riverside Hospital.
In nineteen forty eight, the Greystone Manor was raised and
(10:42):
the estate became known as the Untermeyer Garden and Park,
complete with Sphinx's and Masonic twin pillars. Untermeyer Park was
built on occult principles and is filled with symbolism in
relating to elite secret societies. According to more Terry, Untermeyer
(11:04):
was connected to New York's occult Elei as a member
of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, a powerful
secret society. He had also been declared a Satanists in Britain.
By the nineteen sixties, the park fell into disrepair and
the statues throughout the park were swallowed by overgrowth. Or
in nineteen seventy was being used for teenage prostitution, hippies,
(11:24):
drug users, and as a meeting place for dark magic practitioners.
An excerpt taken from Terry's book describes what happened at
Untermeyer Park this way quote. On August eleventh, nineteen seventy seven,
two young boys eighties eleven and fourteen were walking along
(11:46):
the trails somewhat south of Untermeyer Park. They weren't out
for relaxing walk on the warm summer's day. Searching through
the tangled brush adjacent to the aqueduct behind Berklewood's apartment,
their youth run a specific mission. They were looking for
a the previous Christmas. They found three dead German shepherd
dogs at the site, lying together in separate plastic bags.
(12:07):
The boys had buried the animals, but now hearing of
Berkowit's alleged hatred of canines, they believed their find might
be connected to the case. At first, the police weren't interested.
Yonkers Detective Leon Wicca or Waika said he thought NYPD
wouldn't be concerned with the animals. They're satisfied they got
(12:27):
their man, he told the Yonkers Herald Statesmen. However, after
some publicity about the matter, Yonkers PD picked up the
skeletal remains and had them autopsied to the shepherds, which
the lud chains around their necks were strangled. The third
was shot in the head. The Croton Aqueduct dated back
to when the greystone matter was erected and served as
(12:48):
a gutter or sewer. It was an underground tunnel about
eight feet across that runs twenty five miles from Croton
Reservoir in northern Westchester to New York City. A wide
path on the top of it follows its courts through
wooded areas and residential neighborhoods. This was the same path
that passed between Burkelewood's apartment building and Sam Carr's house,
(13:09):
where a number of dead German shepherd dogs were found
ritualistically killed. Both of Sam's Carr's sons would die under
strange and horrific circumstances. John shot himself in nineteen seventy
eight and Michael died in a car crash in nineteen
seventy nine. Many of those involved in the case would
end up dying by suicide or murder. In the years
after the son of Sam shootings. Doctors and student nurses
(13:32):
at the Saint John's Hospital, her chanting and saw torches
close to the aqueduct. In nineteen seventy eight, security officers
searched the desolate woods, only to turn back and call
the police. Two capes and one hood were found at
the site. During the nineteen ninety three interview, Burkelewoods describe
what happened at the Devil's Cave. This is from Burkelewood's
(13:54):
We had a spot where there was a circle with rocks.
You can actually feel like a force out there, out
there in the darkness. We began to hear more and
more conversations about witchcraft, about black magic. We were really
having little religious services. Almost I did begin to witness
some animal sacrifices. We were at a park, I guess
(14:14):
it was Untermeyer Park. We had this circle for him,
and we said, okay, let's start chanting. Now, let's call
the names of the demons. Let's call Satan's name, Let's
call Lucifer, Let's bring him, let's summon from the nether
world from the air, and let's ask him to anoint
you tonight, you as one of his royal soldiers, to
(14:36):
do his bidding, to do his will. There was definitely
lots of arson. These demons wanted fire terry. Was this
Lucifer Berkowitz, Yes, it was Lucifer. It was Moulich, another
god who wanted fire sacrifices Enoe. In retrospect, based on
investigations by many surrounding the Son of Sam crime, I
(14:56):
witnessed his testimony, and even Berkowitz's own admission impossible to
believe he acted alone. Review of the Son of Sam
killing found that all but one of the shootings occurred
near important Satanic festival days. A Midwest occult expert who
asked to remain anonymous, explained about the group, quote, I
(15:17):
believe you are dealing with a satomasochistic group with strong
undertones of latent homosexuality. This is an evil group that
turned to ritualistic killings, using the occult as an outlet,
an excuse for their own latent homosexual tendencies. They borrowed
from Satanism, from magic, and whatever they saw him like,
I see the Son of Sam's symbol in this way,
(15:38):
Mars and venus or man and woman are on either side.
They are separated by the S for Sam who kills them,
as depicted by the cross above the s. This is
an extremely dangerous group. End quote. In another interview, Burko
Whiz clarified why he used the name son of Sam. Quote.
Sadly the psychiatrist or the psychologist are so blund you know.
(16:00):
I tried to explain to them what was happening, but
they couldn't grasp it who Sam really was. I hate
to talk about this because they made a joke about
this for so very long, you know, the talking dog. Basically,
I had given them the whole thing in a nutshell,
and they never quite caught on that the highest ranking
demon is Sam Hain and these people who died were
(16:22):
sadly for him. End quote. In his book, Military explains
what black masses usually entail. Quote. As mentioned, covens pay
homage to say in just as traditional religion's honor God. Accordingly,
in defiance of the Catholic Church, the concept of the
black mass involved during the Middle Ages and the Black Mass,
(16:45):
Satanic prayers were substituted for those contained in the Catholic service.
The Lord's Prayer was recited backwards, crosses were inverted, black
vestments were worn, chalices and host stolen from churches were
used in their rituals, such as feces, urine vomit, and
animal blood. Were also employed. The host was sometimes smeared
(17:06):
with feces or vomit, and urine was frequently poured into
a chalice and consumed. Animals such as dogs and cats
were sacrificed as Satan and their blood drunk infertility rites,
or for other purposes. Some covens questing for the ultimate
sacrifice offer humans to the devil. Mar and Terry, along
with other researchers, believed that Charles Manson's cult called The
(17:28):
Family similar to The Children, were under the influence of
the Processed Church. He explained how this organization is part
of a much larger network. Quote The Process and its
secret offshoots didn't have the Southern California or US occult
scene or philosophies to themselves. Master Black magician Aleister Crowley,
who died in nineteen forty seven, had written of a
(17:51):
unification of God and Satan that precept and other croleisms
found their way into Process doctrine. By sharing Crowley's beliefs,
the Process also blended those of the Order of the
Golden Dawn. The Golden Dawn was in English occult society
to which Crowley belonged in the late nineteenth century. The
Golden Dawn lead in cabalistic magic and taught that the
(18:14):
will excuse me could be trained to accomplish paranormal effects,
including astroprojection. The Golden Dawn also strongly believed in symbolism,
teaching that certain symbols or thoughts had the same meaning
for all human beings. Later, during World War II, Crowley
(18:35):
helped establish an OTO lodge in Pasadena, California, and OTO
branches subsequently sprouted in a number of US cities, including
New York and Houston. In effect, a loose network was
formed and already functioning via occult shops and bookstores, newsletters,
add to the underground press, and other methods including personal contacts.
(18:59):
By the time the Process arrived in nineteen sixty seven,
In fact, many believed that the entire occult underground in
America the day can be traced back to the formation
of the Crowley OTO operation in Pasadena. The process then
incorporated the ideas of a number of its ancestors and
current occupants of the occult landscape, including the OTO. According Accordingly,
(19:22):
there was intermingling of philosophy, membership, and networking among the groups.
This arrangement makes labeling a difficult restrictive measure. Charles Manson,
for example, was exposed to the practices of a renegade
oto lodge in southern California, ass having been influenced by
the process end quota. Susan Atkins, who belonged to Manson's family,
(19:43):
called killed Sharon Tate in nineteen sixty nine Ty's nearly
full termine or pregnancy. Her husband was Roman Polanski, who
released the occult theme movie Rosemary's Baby the year before.
Was a coincidence that the theme of the movie was
an ambitious man who sacrifices his young wife to be
impregnated by Satan in exchange for fame. In nineteen seventy seven,
(20:05):
Polansky was charged with drugging and raping a thirteen year
old girl. In nineteen seventy eight, when he learned a
judge was not accepting his plea deal where he would
only do probation and instead be sent to prison, he
fled to Paris afterward. Other women have accused Polansky of
raping them when they were teenagers. Susan Atkins's appearance in
(20:26):
court were filmed, and they were always bizarre. In one video,
while Charles Manson is being questioned by reporters, She appears
to be lip syncing Manson, as if Shery knows what
he would be saying. Since this was an unplanned interview,
there was no way she could know what Manson's answers
would be. Was his telepathy or combination of occultism and
mk ultra esp Perhaps several bizarre and dark events that
(20:51):
have terrified Americans have the same point of origin, and
one could ask what occult elite group would go through
the trouble of not committing these crimes, but of making
them known psychological terrorism or something more alchemical. In the
nineteen ninety three interview Berkel, which explain the reason for
the killings from an occult perspective, quote, at this time,
(21:14):
we dedicated our lives to Satan's service, to be his soldiers,
and we had to create an atmosphere that we be
conducive to his coming upon the world scene. Our goal
was to bring chaos to the city, which tragically we did.
Succeed in bringing the city of New York to its
knees and so forth, which was part of the plan.
End occult researcher Michael Hoffman, author of Secret Societies and
(21:37):
Psychological Warfare, explains why the media was used to terrorize
the populace. Quote The Son of Sam Murders were brilliantly
orchestrated ritual whose ceremonial aspects were as precise and detailed
as the internal workings of a clock. This theater of
death began as a ritual for the cult members themselves
(21:58):
and ended as a giant magical ceremony for the processing
of the entire nation. Because in the world wide broadcast
of The Son of Sam Murders was also broadcast the
magical symbols of the Wickerman and of a lifeis levy.
This is the alchemical psychodrama for the transformation of humanity.
We are processed just by reading or watching the news
(22:21):
associating death and terror, power and potency with an old
demonic symbol. By nineteenth century a Depth of Black Magic,
whose illustration of the hermaphroditic demon of the Knight's templar Baphomet,
is perhaps the most widely recognized a cult symbol in
modern history. Readers of the New York Daily News learned
(22:41):
to associate the Wicker King of Wicker with murder and terror.
At the thought of King Wicker, millions felt fear. This
fear was imprinted on their minds. This is the same
control process hundreds of peasants were put through a thousand
years ago while standing in front of a giant wicker effigy,
inside of which was caged doomed human sacrifices destined for burning.
(23:04):
The only difference is that the peasants knew that their
leaders wanted them to fear an occult image. Modern people
imbibe occult fear technology while imagining that there is no
such thing. The imprint's impact is doubled when veiled under
such ignorance. Those who think ritual has no power to
(23:25):
significantly alter behavior have not studied Catholicism closely. One of
the most influential liturgical rites in the history of Christendom
was the Trientine Latin Mass. By requiring attendance at the
Latin Mass every Sunday on pain of mortal sin, Rome
converted most the whole of Europe to Catholicism. The occult
(23:48):
crypto cryptocracy has a much more refined inducement for attendance
at their masonic ritual spectacular optical. Few need to be
induced to watch TV or read a sensational mass market
picture magazine or newspaper, in fact we paid to do so.
Of course, many serial murders are nothing more than the
(24:08):
work of a single individual acting out a graphic horror
movie he saw, or responding to a powerful psychotic impulses
for aggression and predation. But many other serial murders involve
occult protected by the US government and the corporate media
with strong ties to the police. These murders are actually
intricately choreographed rituals, performed first on a very intimate and
(24:33):
secret scale among initiates themselves in order to program them,
then on a grand scale amplified incalculably by the electronic media.
In the end, what we have is a highly symbolic
ritual work broadcast to millions of people, a Satanic inversion,
a black mass where the pews are filled by the
(24:54):
entire nation, and through which humanity is patronized, brutalized, and debased.
In this the Negredo phase of the a chemical process.
The aim of the Son of Sam killings were in
effect human sacrifices meant to shock the nation and the
(25:14):
world at large as they consumed all the gory details
publicized by the media. These mega rituals traumatize the population.
Beyond this case, there is a darker, more perverse core
where events are orchestrated by psychopaths committing the worst abominations
that can scar the human psyche. In twenty twenty one,
(25:36):
Moretaries book gained new attention due to the Netflix series
Sons of Sam The Scent into Darkness. It presents the
large amount of evidence he accumulated, but strangely, in the
end they try to discredit him. Is it because the
media is trying to cover for those who call the
shots and tell them who to promote and who to smear.
(25:57):
Moltary passed away in twenty fifteen. By the way, I
did read this book, The Ultimate Evil, and he's excellent.
I mean, his research was very I mean he provided
information as to how he came, who he interviewed, who
(26:18):
he met, how he researched it, how he found it. It
wasn't like, oh I just thought of this. It was
well researched or well researched. Book very intriguing. One of
the things that I'll tell you and is that you
get that when they finally got Berkowitz and even afterwards
(26:41):
the police department or because there were several police departments
involved in this because some of them lived here younger
than I was. But anyway, the powers that be, nobody,
and I mean nobody wanted to look at this crime
being committed by a group of people. It was we
got our guy, because remember they were taking a lot
(27:03):
of heat, a lot of heat for not capturing somebody.
Somebody was just killing randomly young people sitting in cars wherever.
And they did not want to open that can of worms,
even if it was glaring that yes, burko Witz might
have committed some of the crimes, but that there were
others involved. Nobody wanted to go there. Nobody and you don't.
(27:28):
You can't understand why, and especially when there was a
lot of proof that was like, hey, there's somebody else
involved in this that was killing. There's In other words,
Burkowits did not kill everybody or shoot at everybody, because
not everybody got killed. There's somebody else, as a matter
of fact, more than one. Nope. And you also get
the feeling that even after Burkowitz got his act together,
(27:52):
kind of if you want to call it that, while
he was in prison, he was trying to kind of
give a heads up whether I think to a psychologist
and other people like about these cults. But at the
same time he's still trying I believe his father because
he was adopted and whatever family had, he was trying
(28:17):
to protect them well at the same time trying to
give out information about what was going on with his covenant.
That there wasn't just a bunch of people running around
in capes and sacrificing animals, which is bad enough that
they were, that they killed people and even themselves. A
bunch of the people that he hang around with were
(28:39):
killed like a ripple effect, were killed or died under
really weird circumstances, suicide or crashes. It's like, when you
read it, if you did an odds thing, what are
the odds that all these people are going to die
so violently, either by their own hand or by something
in such a short out of time. It's like, come on.
(29:01):
And at the heart of it, really what he's saying
is all these people, including himself, were basically foot soldiers.
These are the people on the streets killing or doing
and that there is a very elite group that that
time was up in like the wealthy parts of New
York and all these areas that were the ones that
(29:23):
were involved in the child pornography, the drugs and everything.
But they in other words, but they never got their
hands dirty. They had all these guys or these people
that they would get rid of when they became inconvenient
doing all the dirty work, all the legwork, procuring, selling, whatever,
and that of course, these people some of the names.
(29:48):
In other words, they kept enough distance from the actual
crimes not to get mentioned. And I you know, when
you read the book, which I urge you to do,
it's a book as well. Like I said, well researched,
you're you come away even though this happened what nineteen
mid nineteen seventies, and we're talking what forty years forty
(30:08):
five years ago, that you realize that, yeah, this is
not far fetched at all. And if anybody wants to
look at it, logos, what's happening with the Sean Colmes?
You know, the accusations that were leveled at him, of
all these people. And don't get me wrong, if you're
(30:28):
a consenting adults and you're doing whatever you're doing, but
this is there's there's in other words, the normies of
the world. I could consider myself one of those. We
kind of live in this vanilla landscape that, yeah, we
might see the news, and I agree with they in
this thing about sometimes some of what we see in
(30:50):
the news kind of like does something to us. But anyway,
we kind of live in this vanilla world where we
find it difficult to believe that there's people out there
that this is the way they live, that basically they
victimize others. And by the way, they a lot of
these foot soldiers there. In other words, when somebody becomes inconvenient,
(31:14):
whether it's among them, they just haven't killed. They don't
think twice about it. So yeah, so much for the
magic thing, right, Yeah, the dark magic don't work. What
really works is when you send somebody out to actually
do the deed. Then that's how it works. It's like, yeah, okay, yeah,
it's a bunch of sociopaths and psychopaths way at the top.
And yeah, my point being that even in modern times
(31:36):
you will see some version of what happened then, which
is elite groups acting in very dark ritualistic things that
a lot of times involves rape, prostitution, coercion. And let
me tell you something. That thing about that the Stacey
Moscowitz that it was part of a snuff film. Whoever's
(32:00):
going to watch a snuff film. They don't want a
make beliefs snuff film. They want to see the real thing,
all right, And that's what I'm talking about. Anybody has
an appetite for those things. It's like, well, that's a
whole different story. But anyway, Yeah, if you ever have
a chance, if you want to listen to it or
read it, it's worth the read next story. Also out
(32:25):
of Stranger the Fiction Stories is like, all right, now,
if we're now into like weird death, let's stay on
that page, shall we. But let's take it back a
little bit further, all right, and you'll see what I mean.
This is out of Stranger in Fiction Stories, and this
is titled Death Visits the Parsonage. Gertrude Hannah was a
twenty five year old choir girl. She was found dead
(32:46):
in the cellar of the United Presbyterian Church, very close
to her home. She was pregnant and it was clear
she had not died on the narrow cement ledge her
body had been left on or the suicide or something
more sinister. This is April twenty eighth, nineteen twenty two, Hoopston, Illinois,
Gertrude was last seen on March twenty fourth, after leaving
(33:08):
her parents home. Her father owned a local mill, and
none of her family could believe that on the rainy
day she walked out the front door would be the
last time they would see her. A month passed with
no word from Gertrude. For some strange reason, her family
never initiated a search for her. Next Door to the
Hannah house was the United Presbyterian Church, and next to
(33:31):
that was the parsonage, which had stood empty since December.
Carpenters had spent four days preparing for a new minister.
For those of you watching the video version of this,
I'm enlarging this right. Here is where they lived. This
is the church, and this is the parsonage all right.
As you could see, this was like the parsonage was
(33:54):
like for lack of it was like two doors down
from where this Hannah family lived. Anyway, Then one morning,
one of the carpenters discovered Gertrude's body and a narrow
cement ledge just inside the basement window. She still wore
a raincoat and rubber shoes. She had left home, left
her home with all windows and doors of the buildings
(34:14):
were locked on the inside, with the exception of one
basement window. The door to the cellar stairway was locked
from the inside by a broom handle thrust through the handle.
Police could not find any footprints around the body. The
authorities who examined Gertrude Hannah estimated she had been dead
(34:36):
four weeks. However, the remains had been left in the
basement only a week before. J. M. Strong, a prominent
man who lived near the parsonage, said he had gone
through the entire house a week before and he was
positive the body was not in the cellar. He had
gone to the house looking for a lawnmower. This led
police to believe she was kept some place full of
(34:57):
ice or that maintain pained a very cool temperature. Strangely,
the torso was well preserved, but the head was in
a high state of putrefaction. Another doctor examined the body
believed she had been dead less than two weeks. If
this was the case, had she been held prisoners somewhere
for two weeks before she was killed and her body
(35:18):
secreted in the parsonage. In autopsy found there was no
marks of violence on her body. However, she was far
advanced in her pregnancy. Her wrists gave evidence of having
been found tightly for an extended period of time. No
rope or wire was found in the basement. Despite having
been dead for a month, the medical examiner found that
(35:40):
her organs were almost in perfect condition, as if she
had been deceased only twenty four hours. Within days of
the discovery of father W. T. Hannah said that quote,
owing to his daughter's mental condition, about which the family
were very sensitive, they had not asked for assistance in
hunting for her. Endote, he specified she had never been suicidal.
(36:02):
He went to search for her, However, they had not
noticed police. They had not notified police Gertrude was missing.
She had worked in Chicago for three years as a
student nurse and for Sears Roebuck, but returned home after
suffering a nervous breakdown. She had spent time at the
Kankaki Institute institution, but was discharged as cured that the
(36:26):
Kankaki was the equivalent of the state asylum. Due to
the absence of violent marks on the body, the police
believe she might have been smothered or chloroformed to death.
The police theorized that perhaps the man who impregnated her,
used chloroform honor to carry out an abortion, since there
was evidence on her body that one was attempted, but
(36:48):
administered too much and it killed her within a day.
John Cleveland Wyman thirty five, a wealthy farmer and church elder,
confessed that he had an into relationship with Gertrude Hannah.
He denied killing her and said they had met when
they attended church together. Then Gertrude left for Chicago. However,
(37:09):
it seems that when Wyman was originally romancing Gertrude before
she left for Chicago, he was a married man. He
had married Mary jane's Nesbitt, who was twenty three years
older than him, in nineteen sixteen. She died in nineteen
twenty one, the year before Gertrude was killed. When Gertrude
(37:31):
returned to Hoopston, he confessed that he still loved her,
but she told him no. She said, I am no
longer worthy of you. She went on to describe her
misdeats in Chicago, that she had been tempted and had fallen.
Shortly after this, he became a border at her parents' home,
and in October they had started an intimate relationship. Again.
He wanted to marry her, but she refused and they
(37:54):
severed relations. He said that when she disappeared, he was
visiting his mother in Palace Stein, Illinois. Eventually, this story
would prove to be a solid alibi, because, despite being
brought in for questioning several times, Wyman was never indicted
for the crime. A day later, the Chicago Tribune reported
that Gertrude was institutionalized at the Cook County Psychopathic Hospital
(38:18):
in nineteen nineteen. The official remark attached to her follow
red quote. She has ordered a revolver and ammunition to
protect her from a man who she believes is following her.
She said at the hospital, I am so unhappy. The
folks at home seem to have no confidence in me.
I get careless. I steal little things and think nothing
(38:38):
of it. I just don't care. When asked why she
came to the hospital, she said, my father don't like
my friend, and he don't like my father. I hear
so many voices, but I cannot understand. The authorities were
ensure if the French referred to was Wyman. I may first.
Authorities questioned Gertrude's parents and her two sisters. The undertakers
(39:00):
said that he found particles of flowers such as might
be found at a gristmill, clinging to Gertrude's overshoes. Then
the police visited the ice house, and from there they
went to a vacant house near the Hannah home. The
investigators were pursuing a theory that Gertrude was taken to
the mill for an abortion in order to avoid gossip,
but that something had gone wrong. They had stored her
(39:21):
body in the ice house and then transported her body
to the parsonage basement. After being questioned by police, her
father said, I'd just as soon have the whole thing dropped.
There has been too much gossip and scandal already. By
the beginning of May leeds had thinned out, and then
police got a new clue. It was in the form
of a letter addressed to Hannah's father from a woman
(39:42):
named Nora Cloud. It read, mister W. T. Hannah, your
daughter probably met some correspondent and has been slain. She
wanted a job, and I told her I would try
and get her one, playing at Blank Music Company. I
promised to meet the proprietor there in a ring for
settlement for her playing. They needed girls, and I told
(40:03):
him of your daughter. I think if you would call
a Philadelphia man and see him, that he might confess
problem with his new lead is that Missus Cloud had
been released from the Kankake Insane Asylum two months before
the state attorney decided to discount the letter, the police
were still surveilling Wyman as well as to other men.
(40:24):
Wyman told authorities Hannah and him had set the date
of January twelfth for a wedding, but at the same
time he disclosed that Gertrude had threatened him. He took
us so seriously that he considered going to the police
with a complaint. Then Wyman said that after he split
with Gertrude, he took up with his sister Grace. However,
he never had intentions of getting rid of Gertrude so
(40:46):
that he could marry Grace. He said that mister Hannah
wanted him to marry Gertrude, but he told the old
man that he had doubts if the child she was
carrying was his. Finally, results of the examination of Gertrude's
organs came back and traces of poison were found, but
the name of the murderers still remained elusive. A man
from Memphis who claimed he was a psychic detective, wanted
(41:08):
Vermilion County to employ him. He said he was sure
he could tell who murdered Gertrude. They also received letters
from other parts of the country demanding the culprit be
apprehended or expressing fearful the lives of relatives who lived
in Hooperston. Sheriff Knox said, I am not paying any
attention to these letters, but they afford me a great
deal of amusement and entertainment where they are not too
(41:30):
long and tiresome. Of course, the only information they have
is what they have seen in the newspapers, but the
latter have been pretty accurate in the descriptions of conditions
and the investigation following the finding of the body. So far,
there have been no grand jury investigation into the mystery
of Gertrude's death, but that changed in June. The state
attorney presented evidence that strychnine and arsenic were found in
(41:55):
the girl's stomach. The amounts were sufficient to kill six persons.
Four druggists from the city testified before the grand jury,
and they were asked to bring their poison sale records.
There its debate as to whether the preservation of the
body could have been caused by the arsenic. The verdict
they rendered was we the jury fine that Gertrude Hannah
(42:16):
came to her death by causes unknown, her body being
found twenty seven days after she disappeared from her sister's home,
Missus Nat Harding of Or one or Railroad one or
Route one, Hoopston, Illinois. Her body was found in the
basement of the United Presbyterian Parsonage in Hoopston April twenty seventh,
(42:39):
nineteen twenty two. They returned an open verdict. The case
remained to open. It unsolved. Gertrude's name faded from the
newspapers and didn't surface until nineteen twenty five, when her mother, Lola,
was fatally burned with when gasoline she used in cleaning
clothes exploded. The Hannah house was destroyed by the fire.
(43:00):
Hannah's father died in nineteen fifty two, and her sister
Grace remained unmarried and died in nineteen forty six. John
Cleveland Wyman never remarried and died in nineteen fifty six.
Yeah lived everybody? Where did the truth lie? Where was
Gertrude murdered or was she the victim of a botched abortion?
Did Wyman kill her when she turned him down, or
(43:23):
did he want to pursue relationship with her sister, which
would have been difficult if Gertrude was pregnant with his child.
How was her body left inside the cellar of the
parsonage where doors were locked from within and no footprints
were found around the body? Was there more than one
person involved in her murder? Was there symbolic meaning to
leaving her body inside a church property? This cold case
(43:45):
is doomed to remain cold. Oh what do you think?
Obviously here we have a victim. It's got mental problems,
but she she's not that totally out of it. She
spent three years in Chicago, you know, her thing and
maybe she had sounds like a little bit of paranoia.
She's thinking people are following her around. So and then
(44:12):
her dad she disappears and he doesn't tell anybody about it,
And that's very weird. She was gone. She was last
seen in March twenty fourth, and she was found like
a little bit over a month. That's a pretty long
time for somebody to disappear. And I think he did ask,
(44:35):
like a couple of close friends, like, hey see if
you can find her, so you don't know, was it
a question of her having psychiatric problems? Was it a
question that somehow or other he didn't want anybody to
realize his unmarried daughter was pregnant. Remember these are different
times back then, but sometimes, you know, there was always
(44:59):
what they call that s gun wedding and I mean shotgun. Yeah.
Back then, people had premarital sex and then somebody got pregnant.
They would run off and the baby was born three
months later, six months later, eight months later. It's like okay,
But in this case, maybe he's thinking, if they find
her she's pregnant, they're gonna ask who's the dad. That's
the first question. Who is she gonna say? Was it
(45:23):
this guy Wyman? And how does he figure in there?
You know, this guy sounds like he wants to marry somebody.
He even married a woman that's twenty three years older
than him. After his brief this first initial romance with Gertrude,
she goes off to Chicago and he marries a woman
that's a lot older than him. She dies, comes back,
(45:45):
and he's after Gertrude again. And she's being honest. She's
telling him I've fallen. Yeah, that could be so many things,
and I guess it's very how's this. It's a little
bit confusing because in one moment he's saying no, she's
telling me you no. The other moment he's saying, yes,
we had a date set for to get married. So
it's like, but what is the truth? And then he
(46:08):
gets he wants to marry her sister, which is quite
inconvenient if the woman that you were with, that he
was intimate with, is pregnant, and but he thinks it's not.
It's like, I don't know. And then again leaving her
in the parson, where did they keep her for a month?
And who put her? Let's face it to get because
(46:31):
they're saying the only thing they found open was a
basement window. But let's face it, a body, a dead body,
weighs a lot. It's not an easy thing to maneuver,
so what makes you think, Okay, whoever put her there?
(46:52):
It's like, okay, somebody had to be in on this,
like and more than one person had to be in
on this to bring her into the parson were on
a cement ledge lock all the doors, because I'm thinking, Okay,
somebody comes in through the basement windows, opens up the
front door, the back door. Whatever they bring in the
body leave it on the cement ledge. Maybe it was
(47:13):
a bunched abortion. It was like oops, oops, she died
and one of them leaves the front door then goes.
But again that we're there, this is it's not a
one man operation, it's my point. So who was in
on it? Was there her dad been on it? Was
Wyman in on it? Or was there just somebody some
(47:36):
guy involved in all of this who his name never
came up. And by the way, they mentioned here that
they were looking at Wymen and two other men, and
you never they never say who those two other men were.
But for all you know, maybe Gertrude was a little
bit crazy and a little promiscuous, and you know, somebody
(47:57):
took advantage of that. And remember here Wyman was the church.
He was active in his church, I'm telling you. But again,
never there was never a conclusive a lot of suspicion
to go around. Okay, since we're talking about occult thing
(48:18):
as well, let's stay on that page, shall we. Okay,
this other story is out of Stranger in Fiction Stories
and is titled Not Quite So Divine Construction of Saint John.
The Divine Cathedral in Harlem, New York, commenced with the
Cornerstone Ling ceremony in December twenty seventh, eighteen ninety two,
Saint John's Day, or a thousand people were in attendance.
None attending on that day would believe that one hundred
(48:42):
and thirty years later it would still be incomplete. The
church was dedicated to John the Evangelists or John the
Apostible Apostle, the author of the Gospel of John. His
feast day, according to the Catholic Church, Anglican Communion, and
the Lutheran Calendar, is December twenty seventh, the third day
of Chris Mistied, and it marks midwinter. Back to the
(49:04):
eighteenth century, Freemasons celebrate this feast date to install grand masters.
This said is traditionally pictured. Saint John is traditionally pictured
with a snake and an eagle. The eagle stands for
his spiritual insight and the ability to see beyond the immediate.
(49:25):
He is also pictured holding a chalice with a snake inside.
This is based on a legend that John was offered
a cup of poisoned wine, which he blessed and converted
the poison into a harmless snake. Saint John the Divine
was designed for the Episcopal Diocese of New York. The
structure was built in fits and starts, and despite its
unfinished status, is claimed as the world's largest cathedral. Those
(49:49):
who are funding the construction, as well as those who
designed it, hid Masonic symbols and plain sight or where
the general public would not recognize the meeting behind it.
JP Morgan and the Grand Master of the Masons of
New York, featured it on the front page of Masonic
World March nineteen twenty five. The article stated, quote, it
is particularly fitting that the Masons, who were the principal
(50:11):
builders of cathedrals and churches during the greatest cathedral building period,
should now have a prominent part in the movement to
build America's greatest cathedral. Little need be added to the
story of Freemasonry during the cathedral building period. Its monuments
are its best history, alike of its genius, its faith,
and its symbols. Freemasonry is a secret society with practices
(50:35):
based on ancient mysteries. Their teachings are drawn from Babylonian
Egyptian Kabbala and a Gnostic cultures, all who predate the
birth of Christ. However, with the advent of the Christian era,
they were forced to hide their philosophies to escape persecution
by the Church. Freemasons, Rosicrucians, and the Nights Templar have
all been accused of double worship at one time or
(50:57):
another in their history. Most of the organization of a
higherarchy and low level members may identify as Christians, but
once they seek to attain higher degrees, such as in
the Freemasons, they are required to study the tenets of
the mystery religion. This is when they learned the true
meaning of their symbols, which are often spoon fed to
the public via artwork and architecture. They are in abundance
(51:21):
in this cathedral, the Portal of Paradise, scenes of New
York being destroyed and a cataclysmic episode decorate the western
facade of the cathedral. Brooklyn Bridge collapses, launching vehicles into
agitated waters, and other landmarks are being destroyed. The Statue
of Liberty sinks into the sea. A scene was added
(51:43):
in nineteen ninety seven showing that collapse of the Twin
Towers four years before ninety eleven, close by the Chrysler
Building and the City Group Center. Perhaps that the prediction
is not coincidental, since Saint John the Divine was credited
for writing the Book of Revel which describes the apocalypse.
New York is portrayed as being Babylon, the Great that
(52:05):
is destroyed by the wrath of God. A skeleton and
strange creature, perhaps representing death and destruction Covort under the
image of the New York Stock Exchange the Peace Fountain.
This sculpture depicts bizarre and grotesque imagery using mythical creatures.
Animals emerge from a smiling sun, and the idol points
(52:26):
to the east, following ancient pagan tradition, a moon faces west.
There is a quote from John Lennon that reads, one
day the world will live as one. It was built
in nineteen eighty five by artist George Wyatt. A crab,
Satan's decapitated head, nine giraffes, and the double helix of
DNA sprought beneath the winged archangel Michael. A plaque on
(52:49):
it describes it as a triumph of good over evil.
But why use symbols that are so hard to interpret
as such. The Grand Procession of the Ghouls, an annual
event celebrated at the church on Halloween, is the Grand
Procession of the Ghouls. It's a parade where people dressed
in costumes of ghost, demons and other monsters. They walk
(53:12):
around accompanied by macabre organ music. This is indeed a
strange procession to be hosted at a Christian house of worship.
Many the figures seem to mock Christian rituals, a hallmark
of Satanic practices before the procession begins as a screening
of a classic silent horror film one year was a
nineteen twenty two film nos Ferratu. The Blessing of Animals
(53:36):
and Bicycles Every September, another ritual that takes place at
the cathedral is where animals are let inside the church,
but white robed figures to be blessed. An article published
in nineteen ninety six by the California Forestry Association described
as scene quote, Goats, horses, and other animals are led
to the altar to receive blessings. Camels and elephants walk
(53:57):
the aisles as worshippers marched to the altar with bowls
of compass and worms end quote. There is an annual
blessing of the bicycles, because why not. They don't fart methane,
leave a carbon footprint, and will only take you as
far as your legs can stand the grind? How far
is that Winter Solstice celebration? In nineteen eighty saxophonist Paul
(54:19):
Winter was invited as an artist in residence at the
cathedral he was He has celebrated the winter and summer
Solstice with musical events every year since then. The observance
of the solstice predates Christianity, and even in modern times
it is a pagan rite. The last one celebrated occurred
on June twenty first, twenty twenty five. It began at
(54:41):
four thirty am. According to Paul Winter's website quote, the
winter solstice is the great turning point of the year.
From time immemorial, people of the northern latitudes regarded this
coldest and darkest time of the year with mingled foreboding
and expectancy. For the longest night of the year was
also the uncertain threshold of return towards the year's fullness,
(55:03):
when green things would grow again and life would be sustained.
People felt a responsibility to participate in regenitive rituals to
ensure the sun would wax again. Bonfires and candles, with
their imitative magic, Oh Boy, help tortify the waning sun
and ward off the spirits of darkness. These symbols live
(55:25):
in our modern seasonal customs. The candles of Hannakah and
Christmas are kin to the fiery rights of old, which
celebrated the miracle of Earth's renewal. The Temple of Understanding.
The Cathedral is the headquarters of the Temple of Understanding,
founded by Juliet Hollister, which, at first blush appears to
be an altruistic effort to understand different religions. However, the
(55:49):
intent is to cloud traditional religions with neopaganism and New
Age practices. Supporters have been John D. Rockefeller the Second,
the fourteenth Dali Lama, Eleanor Roseveldt, un Secretary General U
Thante International Planned Parenthood, and the Jewish Theological Seminary. G
Houston born nineteen thirty seven, co founder of the Foundation
(56:13):
for My Research, wrote in her book Trojan Horse about
the Temple of Understanding quote the Temple's purpose is to
facilitate the One World religion through the promoting both the
acceptance and the abrace of all religions, belief and rituals.
The Temple of Understanding's meditation room was to be known
as the Hall of Illumination, where the Illuminati, Masters of
(56:34):
Wisdom or leaders of the Temple of Understanding will train
the public in the new humanistic cult to create a
new type of mystic The Temple has been fully accredited
by the UN in twenty nine. Twelve. Directors or advisors
of the Temple of Understanding are also members of the
UN's Global Forum Councils. Many speakers received at these forms
(56:56):
have endorsed a neopagan world religion based on earthworks. James Lovelocke,
who passed away in twenty twenty two, a speaker who
referred to Earth as Gaya and describe humans as a
cancer to Gia and quote illness to overwhelming for her
to heal herself from end quote. According to Lovelocke, Earth
(57:17):
can't be fixed. There's nothing humans can do to reverse
the process. The planet is simply too over populated to
halt its own destruction by greenhouse gases. In order to survive,
mankind must start preparing now for life an a radically
changed planet. Al Gore has been a guest several times
at Saint John the Divine. He's been applauded by pagan
(57:38):
groups for his books and lectures. In nineteen ninety six,
the Church of All Worlds congratulated Clinton and Gore on
their nineteen ninety six victory by writing quote, we are
neo pagans, implying an eclectic reconstruction of ancient nature religions
and combining art types of many cultures with other mystic
and spiritual disciplines, and our beliefs in are no different
(58:01):
from those you describe as your own. Your book Earth
and Balance is heralded by our people as a manifesto
for all we hold the year. Know that there are
half a million neopagans out here who support you, and
who voted for you, and who will rally to the
aid of your policies for the salvation of the Earth
and the reunification of the Great Family. There are unusual
(58:22):
monuments like the Georgia Guidestones, which was destroyed by explosives
in twenty twenty two. They were erected in nineteen eighty
by a mysterious person who gave the pseudonym of r
Si Christian. The panels were inscribed in eight different languages,
which were English, Hebrew, Hindi, Swahaili, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and Arabic,
as was for ancient languages Ancient Greek, Sanskrit, Babylonian and
(58:45):
Old Egyptian. It called for reducing the world population to
five hundred million or below into guide reproduction, wisely improving
fitness and diversity. It also served as a sundial and
astronomical calendar. There are other monuments found at the Denver
International Airport, installed by powerful secret of groups that call
(59:07):
for a new global form of spirituality. Expressions often used
to make this shift platable, palatable excuse me, or quote peace,
balance with nature or harmony with the infinite end. The
true objective behind these keywords are peace, which will only
be achieved once there is a single world government. Balance
(59:30):
with nature is when the world's human population have been
drastically decimated, and harmony with the infinite is when traditional
religions have been eradicated and all embraced neopagan humanism or transhumanism.
It is not only Christian religions which are being led
towards this ultimate one World religion, but other major religions
as well. There is a Madeline the Angel course given
(59:53):
inside the cathedral. She is also one of the temple's founders.
She wrote a children's book, A Wrinkle in Time in
nineteen sixty two, which is a fantasy that describes a
physicist's father who travels through space in the fifth dimension
and three children, who aided by supernatural beings, seek him
on the planet. Camisots. What an inappropriate name, since she
(01:00:15):
surely knew Camizots is a deity started among the Meso
Americans of Guatemala, which was described as a dangerous cave
dwelling bat creature in the Mayacon culture. It is linked
to death and inhabits a cave called the House of Bats.
In the Popol Vu, human sacrifices were made to Chemizots.
The angle was in earned in the cathedral. The teachings
(01:00:38):
at the Temple of Understanding include auto body experiences, shamanism, astroprojection,
taro for divination, earth worship, psychic abilities, yoga, tantric yoga
or sex magic, and astrology. Despite being condemned by Christianity,
they are accepted within the cathedral. Many of these practices
are the entry point to darker belief systems. Despite the
(01:01:00):
sugarcoating given to them by New Age literature, there are
other temples worldwide which promote these practices. The common underpinning
of them all is environmentalism. Urgency and fear that time
is running out for nature allows laws to be easily
passed that otherwise, with closer examination, would be held back
(01:01:20):
and possibly never be accepted. Some of these involve raising
taxes on the name of saving the earth. Funding groups
who see humans as parasites, can only end in eugenics
and genocide, in other words, rationalizing the death o a
great amount of the Earth's population. Ultimately, despite its name
(01:01:41):
Saint John, the Divine Cathedral is not Christian, and the
question begs to be asked, why the deceit is it?
Because of the power of Christian spirituality is much more
immense than we are led to believe. Each should be
allowed to worship as they please, but Christians should be
given the same latitude. Why aren't they? In From the
(01:02:06):
Secret Teachings of All Ages authored by Manly P. Hall,
he wrote the following quote. The Pagan intellectuals reclothed the
original ideas in a garment of Christian phraseology, but bestowed
the keys of the symbolism only upon those fully initiated
and bound to secrecy, which, by the way, this is
becoming more and more apparent because, like I said before
us normy sometimes it's right in front of you and
(01:02:28):
you don't see it because you're not looking for a symbol,
or you just see it for what it is or
words you'll say, man, that's really weird. But yes, there
is a lot of symbolism in plain view. And what's
the thing if only you have the eyes to see?
And I think my biggest problem with all of this
is that a lot of these people who uh, who
(01:02:51):
align with this are looking forget the part about the overpopulation.
They think there should be no humans on Earth period,
like the Earth and the plants and the animals, like
Earth needs no humans. I mean, we need to get
rid of all the humans. And I have a problem
with that, all right. Next story, This is out of Surfer.
(01:03:18):
It's titled Haunting Underwater Voice Remains Mystery twenty five years later. Okay,
this sound was captured by Noen nineteen ninety nine in
the Pacific Ocean. It's been called Julia and experts have
no idea what it is. The mysteries of the world's
oceans are as vast as the seas themselves, spreading across
more than seventy percent of the Earth's surface, and still
(01:03:40):
to this day remain largely unexplored, and one unknown occurrence
has remained unanswered for twenty five years. Back in nineteen
ninety one, the National Ocean, Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration captured
in the underwater sound off the Pacific Ocean near the equator,
early resembling that of a woman. As such, they named
(01:04:02):
the phenomena Julia. And still they've been scratching their heads
as to what may have caused the abnomalousts anomalous noise.
I want to let you hear in the minute of course,
Online conspiracy theorists have their ideas about what the sound
may be like on read it, where some users commented
and cautioned quote, so t Rex didn't go extinct, he
(01:04:23):
moved into the ocean to escape the heat from the
apocalypse and has now a fish got it? Or this
is terrifying. It's why you'll never find my ass out
on a cruise ship. No, thank you. Next, what could
be causing that could it be something similar to the
Big Blip or like an underwater eruption another one released
(01:04:44):
the Kraken. In reality, the experts at NOAH do have
a pretty distinct idea of what the mysterious sound may be.
They believed it was a sound of an iceberg grounding
on the seafloor. They said quote this sound was recorded
in March first, nineteen ninety nine in the Eastern Equatorial
Pacific Autonomous Hydrophone Array. The most likely source of the sound,
(01:05:06):
formerly known as Julia, as a large iceberg that has
run aground off Antarctica. Due to the uncertainty of the
arrival asthmus, the point of origin could be between Bransfield
Straits and Cape Adair, with an origin time of nineteen
ninety nine. Blah blah, or just maybe there's more secrets
in the ocean desk than that we have yet to discover.
