my kids for most of the game in the stands

was awesome. The only part that sucked was the game.
And I'll get to that and much much more. There's

of the players on what happened. I have a strong theory.
I had a strong theory during that game that there
was something up with the performance of this game as

it related to maybe all the things that had nothing
to do with football we were talking about last week. No,

That looked like Kenny Pickett for a damn minute.

It looked like to oh my god, some of those throws.
I'm looking at it. And and then of course the
cherry on top. Well, you know, here's a guy. You know,
you got Aaron Rodgers, and it's just this office just say,
is it Clayton. He's tried to do everything. You know,
he throws a beautiful ball. I was like, Chris, he
just threw a four yard short into the dirt.

People were screaming on Steeler's Twitter about Collinsworth. Have you
ever watched a Steelers game in your life?

I'm so sorry. This was also my son's birthday game,
so Andrew, Yeah, the seventeenth birthday. And my brother James,
apparently last minute decided we never even linked up because
he didn't know we were going, and he's working his
tailoff up there in western North Carolina. He shows up
to the game, drives down the morning of, just buys

a ticket on Ticketmaster, and he's like, of all the games,
and it really Matt. It was like the damnedest thing,
because there's no logical reason Carolina should have backtracked from
what they've been doing at all. But no, everything felt flat,
like even the stadium it was packed and it was
mostly Panthers fans. Yeah, and I spent some time in

the press box, we did the pregame show, but it
felt flat. It felt it was hot as hell, by
the way, it was like seventy five degrees that didn't
feel right, But it just didn't feel like a playoff
team type of environment. And I think the play on
the field had a lot to do with it. And
they've talked about it openly today. Matt can Alice talked

about it. They had a bad week of practice. Some
of the players after the game were telling us we
didn't put in a good week of practice, and I'm like, well,
damn it showed. I mean, come on, now, we know yeah, yeah, yeah.

And the Panthers fans, I mean they put it all
out there. I mean the stadium was loud, you know,
I was. I was very encouraged to hear like the
fans did their part. But man, this is the first
time I saw Bryce Young live, like the last time
as the Panthers name. Sam Darnold was a QB.

That was that that interception. I'm going to tell you
something watching the film on that this morning. Alante Taylor,
the corner number one who's always been one of their
best secondary players on a team that's trying to rebuild
every single year. He was coming on a corner blitz
and right when I was watching that live in the stadium.
I said, I want to see the tape on it

again because he baited Bryce into it. It was a
simple one read little seven routes to the boundary. And
Taylor just has been watching film on this and sees
that Bryce has a lot of these one red concepts
where you you know, sort of baked the blitz, you
drop back into his zone and you just undercut it.
And Bryce was throwing one of those anticipation off the
you know hitch throws where you know, it's three five

steps and boom that bawls out and you should have
a predetermined out available. And it's just not good enough.
Nothing about the passing game is good enough.

I'm sorry, it's Matt. It's time to put him on
the bench. He's got to sit down. I mean, do
you agree. It's like he's out there and he's a
net negative right now for this team. And I like
the guy a lot. And boy, he's got some energy

care what what offensive line you have out there. He
has to almost manipulate the ball just to get it

to the receivers. And when you do that, you leave
yourself open for number one getting an interception and number
are intercepted and number two getting it batted down. And like,
if she can notice that, surely surely the coaches and
the recruiters can see that.

Well it stands out. I mean, look, and when he
played so well last year at the end of the season,
he was getting the same kind of pressure from Kansas City,
from Philadelphia. I'm going to tell you somebody they missed tremendously.
And not that it's worked out better for him or
his team now, but delan Adam Thielen, Yeah, that to
me was one of the big blunders they made preseason
because the thought was, well, trade thelan Coker will slide

into the slot, and then it's revealed Cocher has an
hamstring injury and he misses the first like four or
five games of the year. Finally he comes back and
he's still getting his win back here. I think the
feeling thing is highly overlooked when you look at Bryce's security.
He was a great route runner. He was always where
Bryce and needed him to be. That can't last forever, obviously,

and look, he's not doing a lot in Minnesota right now,
but that's a whole different story. He was so great
for that operation. And I know they're trying to move
on collect some draft capital, and I necessarily disagree long
term that they had to do it, but I think
that's part of the short term struggle with this passing
game is Steland. Plus they've played like ten different combinations
on the offensive line. And as I told people last night, Matt,

you know, people come to me at one Panther place
on Twitter for like therapy at night, and there's some
nights where I just shut the office down. I'm like,
I got nothing, guys, I put the clothes to sign on.
I'm like, we're closed for business tonight. I can't do
it anymore. But I did put out something.

He needs to draft the quarterback.

There needs to be more consistency. And when you look
at things, I think Son Andrews said at best, he
was gripe in the whole way home. He said that
I can take a loss. I'm so concerned about this quarterback.
Even if they go you know, ten wins, which is
still very possible because it's a good teak card if
they go nine to ten wine in card. He's all

down trotting about the quarterback thing, and I'm like, well,
you're not wrong. He's not showing any ability consistently to
throw you know, those layered balls you need in terms
of the second third level. And you can't rely on
a guy that consistently maxes out around one hundred and
seventy five yards a game passing. I'm not a STATIRG.
You can win a number of ways, but he's got

to get in that two fifty ballpark with some consistency
and more touchdowns.
