Speaker 1 (00:09):
Things set.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Hey, everybody, welcome back to hit Point, the j RPG
News Show, The Anime News Show, a niche news show
where Baku and I will talk about anything and everything
that catches our interest and or I are. We stream
live every single Sunday. Don't you ever believe the naysayers
who say we only stream certain on Sundays. We stream
every single Sunday at seven pm Central a pm Eastern Time.
(01:33):
Will be previewing a lot of really awesome trailers, talking
about some industry news, and people will be responding to
some super chats that come in throughout the stream. At
the end of the show, Uh, I think I nailed that.
I think I ruined it by saying that I nailed it,
But I think I think I actually I'm back in progress.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I appreciate this.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
That was good. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
All Right, we can we can call it a day.
We're can wrap okay, all right, gay, good night, everybody,
Thank you again for watching it. No, all right, No,
we have a lot of We have a lot of
stuff to talk about today, don't we.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yes, we do. Oh boys, Oh, today is packed. So
as some of you guys know, it is the Summer
Game Fest. It's got like Future Games Show. There's a
whole bunch of things that's going on in the past
couple of days. I yeah, But I will start by
saying that although today's show will be very packed with
(02:34):
news and trailers and all these announcements, I have not
had a chance to watch all the game shows because
there were like seven, eight of them. I did post
all the times on my Twitter and Blue Sky, so
have you guys seen those It's on there. But yeah,
(02:55):
I have not had time to watch all the game shows.
It's just an obscene amount things all packed and it's
like no news, no news. The seven, eight, nine, ten
game shows that is the future. Yeah, Future game showed,
the PC Game showed from like whatever whoever's hosting that,
the Summer Game Fest, Sony State of Play, the Xbox
(03:17):
Live Showcase. Those are like the heavy hitters, and each
of those will have like ten different games that we
can easily talk about. So I've picked like maybe twenty
ish games to talk about today. There are a lot more.
So don't think for a second that hey, you miss this.
(03:39):
It's more like either they didn't make the cut or
you know, didn't make the cut. Because they were past
our editorial cutoff.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, so yeah, well Nick's talking about it.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
We will talk about it. Yeah, yeah, we'll talk about
it next year. I will ask, though, if anyone is
watching this right now and there are games that you
would like us to cover for next week we that
we didn't cover this week, definitely let us know in
the comments. It's probably something that's on our list anyways,
but just in case, because I think over the weekend
(04:10):
probably something like three hundred games are mentioned some way,
somehow in these shows, so if I missed one or two,
it's highly plausible.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, and be sure to let us know about him
so that we can make sure you know that we
talked about him in the next one. What have you
been up to this week, Bucket?
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Not a whole lot, just like I was gonna say, busy,
but like it's pretty uneventful week. Although today I went
to my friend's house to help them move some stuff.
That's why I couldn't do the Xbox Live showcase. I know,
I know, I know, but they fed me. They rewarded
me with this Vietnamese newdle dish. This incredible. I was
(04:55):
just telling Derek about it. I'll send you some pictures later. Man.
But it's called bumble Way. It's it's like Way style
beef noodles, basically what it tran translates into from Vietnamese.
And it's like it's spicy. It's got like a little
bit of shrimp paste taste in there. It's got loads
of meat and veggies and noodle. It's it sounds hoscredible.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yes, I mean, what's.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
It's a love and grass flavor. It's good.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
All week, I have been living under a rock. I
have no idea what we're going to talk about today.
I glanced enough to like make a thumbnail. But dude,
Amy and I have been let me tell you, I
don't we We've just started Balderskate three last time. Oh yeah,
but but as of right now, we are like forty
(05:44):
fifty hours and okay, only forty or fifty hours in
a week between the two of us.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Okay, that's fair, that's that's quite a bit.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah. So we we've just finished I think what people
refer to as act one. Uh yeah, so we've we've
gotten to like a new zone that has progressed the
story forward. Uh it's a lot of fund.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I love that and I love that for you for
to a game with your spouse like that. That's fun.
I'm sorry, excuse me French, but it's being awesome.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yeah, it's been a lot of fun. Uh. And because
I've been playing it on PC, I've been able to
install all kinds of mods that like help bring it
back to a little bit more of like the tabletop
experience that we're familiar with, as far as like modifying
the rules and stuff. It's great, it's been so nice.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
So yeah, I'm so happy for you.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
There's uh, there's one mod that I'm thinking about installing.
It changes weathers his name to bone Daddy, and people
who played will well know what that.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Is, and that's that's a mod to do.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Well whether's is the name of uh the necromancer corpse
buddy who like resurrects you when you die, so you know, okay,
yeah bone.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Daddy, I see, I see, there's all.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Kinds of fun mods for him.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Well, you know what else I'm happy for you about, uh, tonight.
We have so many heavy hitters, so many like each
one of these games, like well, I say all of them,
but there are a notable few that each one of
those would have easily made for a thumbnail that will
(07:27):
poe in a bunch of people on their own. And
if they just just they just decided to stack all
these together in this like three days of announcements, I
will apologize why.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
I know somebody was mentioning that, like, uh something something
about you know, remix and remasters and stuff.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Is like, well, I threw it in.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
The thumbnail because like they've been rumored for a while
and I know that people are excited about them. So yeah,
now I'm about to find out what else people might
be excited for.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Let's yeah, we're not against remix and remasters here, as
long as they do a good job and there are
people who enjoys it, then hey, yeah, I had to
tell you anything.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
So shall I change our section overlight here? Just dive
into some new game announcements.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Let's go. Let's go, all right, twenty some games that
had us very excited about.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
All right, Uh so this first one, we'll start off
with the game that has we we did previously talk
about it from the developer of Shovel Nights from Yacht
Club Games. Uh. It is uh the newest ip that
they called Mina the Hollower. It is an eight bit
action adventure title. Yes, I mean, why why stop doing
(08:45):
something when you know what works? So let's check this out. Yeah,
oh that's like game that's like Game Boy colorish though.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Yes, exactly exactly, that is exactly what they were going for.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Oh one hundred percent. They're nailing it.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Mm hmm. I mean it's a shovel night folks like
I don't yeah them, they know what they're doing.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Of course, when I when I thought eight bit, though,
I was immediately thinking another side scroller. No, this is
a little bit Zelda esque. Yeah, I dig it. Oh yeah,
it's got a little wall running situational Ah.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
That it's cute.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
I I did not expect to be so excited so
early on. What the heck again?
Speaker 3 (09:37):
This this show is extra extra dense, Like you have
no idea that some of the games that I had
to cut from this because it would have ran way
too much would easily be amazing And I'll probably bring
them in next week. It's like, what's what's one week
you've been talking about them. But I will bring in
some of the games that I had to cut off,
Like I think I had my short list or forty games, Yeah,
(10:03):
and then I had to cut it into half because
I couldn't. We can't.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I mean I feel like we should at some point,
maybe maybe later on when it's slow news. Maybe maybe
not the next week, because next week we'll do that.
But yeah, I was gonna say, like pull out the
B list that didn't make the first cut and just
like have an extended like you know, yeah, the cutting
room floor of the DVD bonus section of Hit Point.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
And I want to say that it's not like those
games were particularly bad. Sometimes it's more like I don't
think the audience would be us interested. Like I think
it's a really interesting game that you should know about
on a slower day, but because you're so packed, it's
like I'm only cherry picking the things that I know
will excite people. Well, but hey, we'll come back to them. Yeah. Sure.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
So this game they've announced it's going to be coming
out on Halloween this year for all modern platforms. So
got that to look forward to.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, all right, next up? Uh, you know, Indonesia is
really just like picking things up lately with indie games,
Like we've got some really cool games out from Indonesia,
and this one is also from Indonesia, is a new
action beat him up game that focuses on fast paced
(11:20):
hand to hand combat sit in the city of dang
bang Dung, Indonesia, and it's called Acts of Blood from
the developer Exil Team and take a look at it
real quick, all right, yeah, let's check that out. Yeah
uh there. Yeah, so apparently this is just like some
(11:43):
guy who just decided to make games and like just
a couple of his friends said, this is just indie
as it gets. Yeah, and like it.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's kind of a it's a little bit of a
Yakuza kind of situation where they play doing the wrong
side of uh wrong side of town. And that's some
good looking parkour stuff. Yeah, the the X ray vision
of like bones breaking and stuff. That's pretty cool. Kind
of mortal kombattie.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Yeah, it's like a it's like a team of ten maybe,
but all.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Like, did you hear that Wilhelm scream? I don't know
if you guys heard that, but that was part time.
That's fun.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
God, it's kind of brutal, but Indonesia's coming out with
some cruel stuff, man, Like this could be this could
be the beginning of something.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Like it's just a brand new ip that will make
just stick. The World by Storm. You never know, you
never know.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Why?
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Why are all these people so angry in these games?
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Though?
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I mean, hasn't anybody just like you know, said, hey,
have we'll grab a beer and talk it over?
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Nah?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Okay, okay?
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Want to? They want to get to know each other
through the fists, so fisticuffs. Anyways, this game is coming
out in summer of twenty twenty six only on PCPs
theme check it out.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
All right, Well, if you are into angry pugilists like
that last one, Well, if you ever wanted to see
some muppets maybe taking it, you know in the face
with the with the boxing glove and you know, the
punch Out crossover kind of deal. Well, let's check out
this sans Strings Studio, who thought that it would be
(13:41):
a great idea and frankly Baku things. It looks pretty cool.
Let's oh god, I get the title out. Let's check
it out.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yes, yes, yeah, see, I knew it. I knew it.
I knew it. It was the right call. Have you
watched have you announced this one? Get it? Look at
felt That get It, get it, get it.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
We haven't said the title of it yet. It's it's
called Felt That Boxing yes, get it.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Yeah, now they get so it's so funny. It looks
so good.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Is this uh an engine?
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Or they're going to show you the gameplay so you
can take it, give it.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Give it, don't wait?
Speaker 5 (14:35):
Oh yeah boy, this is the gameplay.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Get the dodge stuff and days also gameplay. This is gameplay.
There you go, that's it's punch out. It's punch out.
(15:16):
It's freaking punch out.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
What in the mother making? Is that?
Speaker 3 (15:23):
What in? What in? What felt? What the felt? What's that?
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (15:28):
What the boxing? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:33):
So there's no release time frame as of yet, and
currently it's being developed for PC. I can't tell.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
Was that? Is this an f m V.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Game like that?
Speaker 3 (15:42):
It looks.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
It looks like someone just filmed puppets. But I mean,
is is that the gameplay? I mean it must be.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
But the dodging, like the it's it's punch out. The
gameplay is it's got medi games, so it's not just
like just punch out, but punch out also yeah right,
but the main gameplay is basically punch out.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
But the question I think I just don't are those
graphics or is that.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Is that just like I think those were graphics there? What? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (16:19):
I know that's ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Okay, See, I knew Derek would appreciate that one, because
first of all, the whole Muppet thing would get you,
and then there's the pun.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Yeah, yeah, I think you nailed it.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
I know, I didn't think that'd.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Be so easily manipulated, But apparently Baka was a pretty
great puppeteer here.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
But all right, next game, Look a Neil Scott Pilgrim
game announce what was definitely not in my Bengal cards,
but here we are. Trivia Games announced Scott Pilgrim ex
a new brawler. Well you can't as Scott Pilgrim, Ramona
Flowers and five other characters, each with the stint combat style.
(17:07):
The game supports up to four player co op, which
is awesome. Yeah. Four players, that's yeah, that's more than
half the roster can be on the game at the
same time. Let's take a look. It's like, Oh, I
think it's going to be a fun multiplayer games. Just
play with friends at a party or something. Yes, bust
it out and get some controllers out.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
I loved the first Scott Pilgrim beat them up.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Yeah, take a look at this.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
The magical Lend of Toronto the city has been taken
over by rival games, the Vegans, the robots, the veton
I don't know who who could possibly have done such
a thing. I wonder if this is going to feature
(17:52):
the same like pixel art as made by.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
You can take a look Scott Pilgrim.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Ah, ah, that's gotta be Oh man, is that Paul Robertson?
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Ah, how'd you guys? Mad?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
I know Paul Robertson did the first game. PAULA Robertson. Yeah,
and I'm a good and I'm on a good chief
nice the original composer from the first Scott Pilgrim. That
is so cool.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
I love the stings. So I feel like there's a
little bit of metrovanea like uh uh element where like
you you go into different maps and then you cleared
them and whatnot. Does that make sense? It's not like
a linear thing, you know.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Oh you think you think it has like branching pads
and uh.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Conceptionally it was it was they showed the mini map
play during the.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
So there was a world map in the original Scott Pilgrim,
but that was just a stage select.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
No, no, this this one is like it was showing
like different kind of like interconnected like maps. Yeah, did
you did you see that?
Speaker 2 (19:11):
No, I'm gonna watch that again because I was so
distracted about by just the concept and the return of
Paul Robertson and I'm on a Gucci Uh you.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Know, you know, we can always watch it again.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Let's let's do that, because.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
I'll call out the part where I think I.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Was just glad to see that Ubisoft wasn't involved in
this one, because that was the drawback of the p
S three version and it took forever for them to
eventually make it a physical release. Oh my gosh. So yeah,
(20:03):
this game is actually in the in the realm of
you know, beat them ups and stuff. This is a
little on the RPG site also because it's kind of
like River City Ransom in that like you can actually,
at least the original you could level up by items,
unlock new skills and abilities. So it really is.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Like or at least it's the mapped updates. Oh yeah, yeah,
I saw that. Yeah, Yeah, that's that's definitely like a
Metrovania style.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah like that, Yeah, I saw that. Yeah, I saw
it this time. Oh that's cool.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Yeah, Scott program ex super awesome. So this game is
going to come out sometime early twenty twenty six on
all modern platforms, so you can have many ways to play.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Nice. I'm looking forward to it, am I. All right?
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Well?
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Uh man? Was that so that? Yeah? That was you.
You introduced that one. So I got this next one,
I was. I was so excited by this I got,
I got okay.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Ah, So I'm saving you all of good stuff man.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
No, no, no, this was the good stuff.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
What are you talking about? All good stuff? But that's
the truth. Go ahead, Derek, What is it that gets
you excited? This? All right?
Speaker 5 (21:23):
All right?
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Well, publisher five oh five Games and the developer art
Play just announced the newest entry in the Bloodstained series,
now called blood Stained The Scarlet Engagement. In this game
will be set in England during the sixteenth century, before
the events of Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, and we
(21:44):
have a trailer for that as well. So let's yes,
let's look at that, a.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Very complete trailer. This was from the State of Play. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Yeah,
this was from the State of Play.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Say this is blood Stained, this is plus thing showing sacrifices.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Must be Still, don't show you the gameplay like that?
There you go, this is like the gameplay game. Okay,
I really appreciated that they show gameplay instead of just
like allstin amountic. Yeah, like their version of play two
point five y. Yes, it is.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
A bit of a bit of an evolution of the
series of the franchise rather Yeah. Oh, you can speak
(22:52):
French French, but you can put they're in England. That
doesn't that's that doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Well, the other guy was speaking Japanese, so I guess yeah,
he was speaking Japanese earlier with mess.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
But Japan didn't exist in the sixteenth Yeah, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
We all know that Japan just suddenly sprung into life
into eighteenth century. Come on, guys, know your history blood Stained,
blood Stained engagement.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Oh oh, there's there's more.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yes, there's more.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Cinematic cinematic.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Chols of the church right into.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
That would be such an annoying laugh to have, especially
like if it was your boss's laugh. Could you imagine
like being one of the man been.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Raised every time it's like, can I get a raise?
Just you laugh alone? I feel like you'll mean money.
Speaker 6 (24:11):
Right.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
This game is going to be launching sometime in twenty
twenty six for the PS five, the X Boss, the
Xbox series, and uh the PC VA esteem the PC
the one and.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
On the PC is only one PC.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Yep, sorry, there's just one.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Yes, it's just one, all right. Next up, we've got
Bandai Namco announce me.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Let me, let me prefix this real quick, everybody, trails
fans just just know it's not the right it's a
different person, Okay. Don't don't get your hopes up.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
Yeah, don't get your hopes up. This this name is
quite common in Japanese. Uh, band I just announced. Namco
has just announced a new roguelike action game called Toa
and the Guardian of the Sacred Tree. Yeah, but not
that follows ye, not that? To no again. Toa is
actually a very common Japanese like that, many thousands and
(25:12):
tens of thousands of Toa who lives? Okay? Yeah, The
story follows Toah, the priestess of Shinju, who must fight
off the evil Magatsu with her eight trusted companions. Let's
take a look at this new ip from ben Dy Namco.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
All right, wait, did I put the right one?
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Yes? Yes, okay, trust you have seen it. A beautiful
wood got a Shonne in situation going on.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Will you struggle until your last freeting moment.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Your destinies are seen?
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Good looking animation so far, I'll ask gameplay.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
The characters can stay to play.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
I appreciate that they have freaking gameplay in the state
of play, it's not all just cinematics.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
It's fine. It hipes through up, but show me the
gameplay please.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Oh such power.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
I'm not a big rook Life fan, like I've learned
a hard way that I don't care for it. But
if you are a brook Life fans, this looks phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Gonna say it's kind of shown in hades. Mm hm,
I mean not to sum it up in like two words,
but yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
If you need like a mental shortcut anyway, then.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Yeah, I'm good at finding mental shortcuts. That's all I take.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
It looks quite good for new IP I mean, hey,
I am wishing them all the best. I hope it
plays well and that people who are into worklike would
enjoy this. All right, yes, all right again. This is
TOA and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. It is
going to come out in September nineteenth of this year
(27:21):
on PS five, Xbox series The Switch and PC vs. Theme.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
All Right, next up from Serenity Forge, they've announced a
new psychological time loop life simulation game. Oh dear, I'm
getting flashbacks. Psychological life sim okay called Fractured Blooms that
had featured art by Doki Doki Literature Club statulyy Yes,
(27:50):
yes the artist by Okay by the artist statue and
according to the game director Zen Jua Young, I hope
so close enough, this game is inspired by real stories
of their own family, yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Which which is very strange. It is actually part of
the trailer when you see the trailer will be like
inspired by real life. And I was like, what do
you mean by inspired by like real life? Oh, apparently
it's the real life of the game director themselves.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Well, let's check out the trailer.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Quaw Yang probably inspired by so sorry I've butchered your name.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
That I feel like that phrase inspired by a true story.
Often it does a lot.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
Of heavy lifting. Okay. So this game is very strange
because like it's got the super anime Avatar and then
like everything else looks so realistic. I was like, what
is going on? But it's also a psychological series theory.
I know how much she loves.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Like a logical I like tomatoes.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
I love tomatoes and psychological plates of her legs. So
it's interesting that this is being published by Serenity Forge. Yeah,
and this was also in actually this is no, this
(29:23):
was in the Summer Game Fest. Yes, this was the
sum Game Fest. I was like, I was so confused
by this game.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
So like, I'm curious, like what part of this was
inspired by, like a true story, like oh, my family
and I stayed at a at a at a cabin once.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
You know that. I feel like that's something that we'll
have to find out eventually after we finished the game. Yeah,
psychological game, but also farming sim's just like what oh
fractured blooms? Oh okay, yeah it's it's I'm excited for
it just because I want to know this game is about.
(30:01):
I am very intrigued. But yeah, so no release time
frame us up yet. But this game is currently being
developed for PC.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Okay, yeah, next up? Did I say?
Speaker 3 (30:14):
I said?
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Wait, yeah, okay, you're you announced this next one? Because
I announced that last one.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
So yeah, oh, I'm sorry. I I messed up because
it's a horror game. Of course it was Derek.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Yeah, my bad. I should be doing dare you impose
on my turf.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
You know what. You know, what's crazy is that, like
I had mentally planned for you to do this one
and for me to do the other one. I meant,
I meant to switch them, but I forgot to do it.
Oh so I can. Here's for you, Derek, because I
think you would really enjoy this. Publisher Epic Games has
just announced a new handcrafted cold op platform adventure called
Out of Words. Uh. This is a game that is
(30:58):
similar to games like Kura and Split Fiction, where you
must play with another friend to co op platform action
and stoft puzzles. Okay, let's take a look at this.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Yeah, yeah, let's check it out.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
I recommend these games for you, Derek, Like, if you
ever want to play something like this, Amy, it's just
like co op platform uh, puzzle stopping. I think it's
fun for couples. This is really cool. Yeah animation, it's
(31:31):
like stop stop animation kind of kind of fo Yeah.
So you have to play with a friend together and
stoft puzzles and do platform stuff like at the same time.
Like there's this no one player. It always has to
be two people always. Yeah, kind of like it takes
two yeah, yeah, exactly. It's exactly that kind of game.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Yeah, the platform that is neat.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
It doesn't look really good. I mean, I love these games.
These games are usually very chill. You just sit down
with a friend or something and just just hang out
like this is kind of a hangout game. Yeah, all right, well, yeah,
so recommend it.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Very cool. When's it coming out?
Speaker 3 (32:17):
So this one is releasing sometime in twenty twenty six
next year on PS five, Xbox Series and PC. This
game will support cross platform co ops. So if you've
got a friend out there who's playing on a PC
and you're on a PS five, guess what you're in
luck because you can get you can still play with
(32:39):
them even though they're on a different platform. Awesome speaking
to that.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
All right, well, in that case, let's talk about this
next one that I think you and I have been
actually talking about this one for a while. Yeah, we
have long expected the real reveal of this game from
Square Enix, and we finally got the confirmation and that
final Fantasy Tactics The Evilis Chronicles, the remastered version of
(33:06):
has been announced and here is the first look at
the game.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Yes, this was in the Sony state of Play. Sony
stair Play was stacked. Actually this sony State of Play
that that came out this past Friday, past h their
previous uh view record, Like more people watch that State
of Play than they ever had. This is the inception
(33:32):
of State of Play, No Salvation. Oh if yourself.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Looks why looks very good.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Conflict.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
It looks kind of like when they remade Tactics Ogre. Yeah,
kind of kind of similar from like the the art perspective,
I think.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
M hm. Oh, they definitely some things they've learned from
remaking or not remaking, remastering Tactics Ogre and sure for sure. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Oh you can play both versions, Classic and enhanced. That
will make everybody very happy.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
More things for you to reafter that as you will see.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Oh, okay, it's coming out on the thirtieth of September,
so yeah, yeah, coming out on the thirtieth of September,
which is pretty sweet. It's gonna feature the Enhanced version
with a revised script and fully voiced, fully voiced dialogue,
fully voice dialogue, new user interface graphics, additional characters, conversations
(34:43):
and dialogues, and other quality of life improvements. The game
will also feature the classic version that is faithful to
the ninety seven experience. Yeah. So yeah, all modern platforms
on the thirtieth of September. So set your set your
watches now, oh to the countdown. Uh, put in your
(35:03):
PTO for for nine thirty through the end of our Uh. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
Yeah. I kind of hope that all remaster will do
that from now on, like the baseline, include the classic
version and just don't just touch it up just a
tad and just leave it alone, I know. And then
if you want to go to the extra distance, give
us the enhanced version in the same cartridge and do
(35:29):
whatever you want, Okay, And if people doesn't like that,
go play the classic. Stop complaining. Like I just I
just don't want to hear it. I'm tired of it, right,
It's just half half both half both.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
Yeah, I'm I'm excited for it though, because I know
that a lot of people have really just been really
excited about this game for a long time. I mean,
this was first indicated that we would be getting something
like this in the Nvidio link leak. I do believe
that this is one of the last two that were
(36:01):
revealed in that leak that I've been like keeping an
eye on the other.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Yeah. Yeah, but that's it, Like, is there anything else?
I think I thought that was it? Like that, that
was it.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Those were like the big ones that I think people
cared about, like the.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Most RPGs anyways.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the ones that people cared about the most.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
And like I am people, we are people, Yeah, we
are the people. Yeah, I didn't, I don't. I don't
think there was anything else. Like f F nine remake
was the lost and every one of these had been true.
So that list is like, you know, nine out of
ten like hits basically.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
God, I know, that's that's ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Highly accurate leak, Like we know for dang sure that
that was like the leak.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
To so for real, though, I'm super excited for whatever
Final Fantasy nine remake may or may not end up being. Yeah,
that that's that was a stacked lead.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Yeah, given what we've seen that was on the list
and what we've seen that actually came out and hole
true FF nine is is a pretty high probability that
unless they canceled it, Uh, it's coming for sure. Yeah,
all right, so mixed up. Uh, Derek, did you know
(37:23):
that game Freak make games that aren't Pokemon?
Speaker 2 (37:27):
You know, they made the Little Town Hero once.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
One time. Well, so the thing about.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Game Freak is before they were Game Freak, they were
known as Creatures. Uh and Creatures was previously known as Ape,
who were the original creators of like Earthbound in collaboration
with Hell Laboratories and and Nintendo. So like, yeah, like
(37:55):
they have a history of like actually making solid stuff
and then Pokemon just kind of like well, and then
the Nintendo Company just sort of started starving them.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
So guess the Pokemon Company Now, oh wait, we have
a Pokemon company.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Yeah. Yeah, I kind of hate the fact that that,
you know, the Little Town Hero ended up being kind
of a flop, but yeah, I did know that they
occasionally made something that was not Pokemon, and I'm curious.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Wow, guess what daring They have just announced a new
IP called Beast of Reincarnation, an action adventure game that
takes place in post apocalyptic Japan, which follows the story
of Emma known as the Blighted One, and her loyal
K nine companion Coup. Look at what game Freak is
(38:48):
capable of when they're not making Pokemon games, shall we?
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Uh yeah, sure, let's let's take a look at that.
I'm I don't know if I want to get my
hope up. I mean, if it's here, then maybe I should.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
It looks good. I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you that now. Okay,
that might not necessarily be your cup of tea, but
I can't deny that it looks great.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Sure pretty graphics.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Doesn't that look like something straight from what is it
called Princess Moment? Okay, I was gonna say, step and
then there's like grass that just springs up, you know,
like it's like life itself.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
I was gonna say it looks something like, oh god,
what's that creator who makes Shadow of the Colossus.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
And the last remember.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
I can't remember either, but it looks like this.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Anyways, this feels like secure a little bit what from
the from the from the jumps, like the yeah yeah yeah,
the wire poles, Like it feels a little bit like Secual.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
So they've been working on this for a while then
for sure.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
I would imagine so, yes, this is not something that
just pull out of you know, they're behind. So this
game looks incredible and we're like, who, who's making this
one game? Freak? What the Pokemon guys? Yeah Themahn.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
This raises so many questions I mean, yes, it looks fantastic,
but it raises so many questions, Like, I guess part
of me wants to say, where was this budget in Pokemon,
Like where were these where were these talented people? But
obviously the talented people were making this game instead.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
Yeah, oh my gosh, wow.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Okay, yeah, so this game freak saying, yeah, we actually
do know how to make beautiful games and uh and
it's not our fault that Pokemon looks.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Like that, you know, Pokemon. Just I just feel like
a lot of it has to do with the system
limitation still, but at the same time, even with the
system limitation excuse, it still isn't great. So it's kind
of like it's half and half. But I think both
of them came together and just made the game like
(41:24):
not great. But as you can see, they can actually
make a really cool looking game if you just like
lift some of these restrictions off. We'll see what happens
in twenty twenty six. Hopefully it runs in thirty FS.
So here's the thing, because this is an action oriented title,
I would be surprised if it doesn't run on sixty FPS. Yeah, Like,
(41:47):
if it's like a turn based situation I would agree,
like it wouldn't run more than thirty frame per second.
But just wait until you hear what system they're on.
It's on PS five Xbox Series and PC, not the switch.
The switch is notably absent here. Okay, interesting, Yes, sometime
on twenty twenty six on the announcement PS five Xbox
(42:09):
Series and PC, no switch mentioned, which is strange. But again,
I think that's the more interesting part in all this.
So uh yeah, just wait for a Beasts of Reincarnation guys.
All right, well that man, that's that? Uh wow, I
(42:30):
told you this show is stacked. I go go on, sir,
go on.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
I can't go on. I can't find the words. I'm
still like stuck.
Speaker 3 (42:40):
That was game freak. That was game freak. Man, I
was shower.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
That was game freak. I went to high school with
that person. They look completely different. They had a glow.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
Blow up, they had glow up.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
Didn't even recognize them. My god, last time I saw them,
the people were like giving them Wedgi's in the hall.
And now they're like, geez, okay, well you know what,
let's let's go ahead and skip ahead to uh this
next one.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
This one's also kind of a glow up once you
see it.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
Yeah, it's from Van day Namco and it's Digimon. I
think they're gonna try and make me care about Digimon again.
Let's see if they can't, I will. The newest Digimon
story entry, Digitmon Story Time Stranger is coming out, and
Baku says that it looks fabulous.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
Okay, you know what it's it's a hot it's a
hot tick and and I'm gonna get like the pitchfork
coming in. But this compared to Pokemon legend a z,
this looks modern and it looks a hundred times better.
Not even close. They're not even in the same league,
(43:52):
not even close. Well, let's take a look.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Let's take a look at this.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
I'm gonna get so much hate. I'm getting all the
Pokemon vers the last.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Time we the last time we talk Pokemon, all the
fans came out to support us.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
So that's true. And I'll remind you guys that I'm
actually a Pokemon fan, not a Digitmon fan. I never
really care for Digitmon. But look at this game, and
you can't tell me this doesn't look like absolutely amazing.
Speaker 2 (44:21):
Okay, let's see it. Our ultimate mission is to uncover
the causality between these anomalies. It's probably yeah, damn it,
you're right backa that does look right, damn good. That
looks so good times better, you know, they don't get
(44:42):
that weird like Uncanny Valley from from like the Pokemon.
It's like, I don't know what they're trying to do
in Pokemon with the people, like you're trying to make
them look real and not real, like this want this
the same Digitmon that we saw a trailer for the
other day that also looked really it's really good, and
try to make me care about it. This is is
(45:03):
this the same game or is this a different one?
It's the same one, Okay, it is the same Yeah, okay,
the same one, just more of it, Okay, yeah, just
making sure because I'm like, now we're seeing like some
gameplay stuff, so I'm just like, okay, we're gonna that
(45:25):
looks really really cool, Okay. And you know what, I
realized also pretty recently that like it's okay if the
some of the Digitmon look kind of dirty at first,
because like they are specifically meant to be digital avatars
of like just you know, creatures or whatever, right, So like, yeah,
(45:45):
they're allowed to be kind of uncanny like and and
not looking normal and like a creature.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Like I feel like if they made Digimon's story basically
SMT but with Digimon, it would sell god your if
you like, if it's postona O s MT, but just
instead of Demons, it's Digimon.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Maybe if they if they did it, but they added
more guns, just World's gonna start suing Digimon with guns
power World's gonna sue.
Speaker 3 (46:25):
Irony.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
Yeah them, and what money after Nintendo takes it all?
Speaker 3 (46:30):
Well, they need that money so that they can then
fight Nintendo.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
All right. That that looked admittedly pretty dang good. And
it's coming out on the third of October for PS five,
the Xbox Series, PC, and Steam if you care. PS
five and Xbox will only support up to thirty fps. PC, however,
will support all sixty frames under optimal conditions.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
Yeah, they they That's that's all from the developer, And
I'm a little disappointed. But at the same time, it
is turn based. Like I don't know, Ben Dynamico, I
feel like, you can you could do sixty fps on
a PS five n Xbox Series like it was like
PS four and the Switch and all that. Like I
(47:19):
get it, but it's Xbox series is PS five and this.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Is the other Hindbak to play Devil's Advocate here. Optimization
is hard.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
Are they optimizing or are they just building a game
that would just play in sixty fps native? You see
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
I know, yeah, yeah, it's it requires optimization. They they're
that's that's part of it, like you know.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
Anyways, Well, not to uh, not to end on a
sour note with Ben Dynamico, for sure. Here's another one
be Ben Dynamico. There's this one.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
Cut my eye this one when I was scrolling through
this one.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
Yeah, all right, and the game the in question is
Code Vain two. The game will take place in the
future where humans and revenans coexists, with a sudden appearance
of an entity called Lunar Repeces. Yeah, Revenans are being
transformed into minus monsters simply known as horrors. Play will
(48:21):
have to travel between the past and present. It starts
for clues to prevent the world's destruction. All right, let's.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Check out Anime Souls two.
Speaker 3 (48:30):
Okay, Anime so threw me off so hard when I
saw the trailer because the monsters and everything looks so
like realistic and stuff, and then there's anime like boy
and I'm like, what is going on? Like, there's anime
boy right here who is very animal, and then here's
(48:51):
a really good looking monsters you Nakamura from a persona four,
very realistic looking monster, very detailed, and then there's animate
like the animate boy, Like, what is going on?
Speaker 2 (49:09):
Interesting? How the blood is gold yellow?
Speaker 3 (49:13):
Yeah? So, I mean I always wanted to play Code vein,
I just never did I have it. Anime souls, Yeah,
anime souls.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
Ah, you have the power. She was just looking for
head pats.
Speaker 3 (49:38):
She was looking for haigh pads. Just said, oh, Nita,
why mm hmmm. If time were a weapon to wield,
I would hate to have my heart exposed like that.
I don't know. And it feels so.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
Fair, Baku. You you do expose your heart to the
world every time you're on hit point.
Speaker 3 (50:01):
Oh no, I feel naked. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
The graphics kind of crashed a little bit for me.
I feel like they could make the character look.
Speaker 3 (50:10):
Just slightly, just slightly more textured for what it's worth.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
Yes, but also, uh, you'll hardly ever see his face
except during cutscenes.
Speaker 3 (50:22):
Oh no, you'll see his face plenty. Because of all
the dialogues in Coving. Is there dialogues in.
Speaker 7 (50:28):
Codein there's a lot of dialogues.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
Well, okay, I don't know about Coving two because they
could see they could honestly change out of that. But
Coving won. Yeah, when I was watching gameplays of it, there's.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
A lot of dialogues. Oh okay, a lot of.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
Interpersonal communication between you and the other hunters. So it's
not very souls like at all. In that case, the
gameplay is souls okay, but everything else is not. Yeah, well, Ion.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
Flaire, as far as like what they showed, that looked
pretty cool. It looks exactly like what it looked like
what I would expect, uh, you know Codeban two to
look like. So yeah, uh And it's coming out sometime
twenty six for the PS five, the Xbox series, and
pcv esteem.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
Yes, and you also get the next one, Derek, You'll
walk home.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
Oh cool. Well, in that case, let's switch gears to
a Chinese studio called uh lean Z Games and publisher
five oh five. They've released a new trailer for one
of their upcoming action RPGs that's uh we should all
take a look at, called Wu Chung fallen feathers.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
Yes, all right, another fantastic looking. A lot of these games,
any one of these coat vein this game, some other
games that's coming up. Any of them would have made
fine thumbnail like headline news. Uh, they all that And
this is not even like the craziest announcements.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
I'm not used to having so many new ips to
choose from.
Speaker 3 (52:03):
Oh boy, it's dizzying.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
Yeah, man, do you see that Dandelion's going everywhere? Guys,
it's going to be so many more dandal My dad nightmares.
Speaker 3 (52:15):
So much, so much weed. But dandelione is edible, all
parts of it is.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
Oh yeah, it's it's actually like a delicacy in some places.
But they're just a weird here. Yeah, jaw dropping visuals.
Speaker 6 (52:36):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
They're all coming out swinging the summer man, like they're
they're all vying for your attention.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
Chinese developers smells money in the water and they're like,
we got this, oh.
Speaker 3 (52:50):
Yeah, telling you they realize that they don't need Japan
to make good first person titles, that they retreat it
from Japan and just start opening studio in China. China
says I should have done to begin with. That's I
(53:10):
mean Wilkan, if Wulkan has shown anything, or if like
things like I don't know, uh Liza p have shown anything,
it's they don't need Japan per se.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
Yeah. Yeah, so it's coming out on July twenty fourth,
five for PS five, the Xbox series and pcv Esteam.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
All right, well, speaking of Japan, though, I mean, just
because they don't need Japan doesn't mean that Japan aren't
making crazy good looking games themselves, this time from announcements
from Koe, Techmo and Team Ninja. The latest so as
title Neo three, see another like headliner game that there
(54:01):
are so many fans that are so excited for the
new Neo. Let's take a look at Neil three guys.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
All right, let's take a look. That's easily mature game. Guys.
If avert your eyes, if you're I think it's just
a lot of flakes, immature kinds.
Speaker 4 (54:19):
Georgia ending dreams, nothing Lewde time immemorial. This power has
been the impetus for human wars.
Speaker 3 (54:31):
Mm hmmm, Kingdon just busy, man, I know it.
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Feels like we're talking about them very often.
Speaker 3 (54:44):
Yeah, the present.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
That looks cool.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
Mm hmmm, it's going to be so much rage, rage, quitting,
so many crashing outcoming guys. You can switch between Ninja
and Samurai mode. Now, yes, that a little bit of
(55:18):
secular action every now and then. I guess you think
about how to tackle a map, huh. I mean it
could either be really good or like not great. So
I'm I'm a little impartial right now, like it between.
Speaker 2 (55:36):
Two characters or like is it the same guy, like
same changing modes, same guy. That seems like a clash
of like values.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
We'll have to see how they execute it. I mean,
it could be good.
Speaker 2 (55:52):
Or it could be Yeah, it looks pretty.
Speaker 3 (55:55):
It is Team Ninja, so I mean they're.
Speaker 2 (55:57):
Just yeah, it's not Team Samurai though, I mean.
Speaker 3 (56:01):
That's Team samurais Team Ninja. Y. So this one is
coming out early twenty twenty six on PS five and
PCPs Team The Alpha Demo will be available right now,
actually on PS five until June eighteenth, So if you're
interested in this game, you have a PS five, you
could play to Alpha demo right now and you have
(56:23):
until the eighteenth to do so.
Speaker 2 (56:26):
Awesome. Well, in that case, let's move along. Let's keep
up the Ninja theme though. Yeah, definitely this one's coming
from Koa Tecmo, developed also by Team Ninja and Man
and Platinum.
Speaker 3 (56:41):
Games Lacknum Games.
Speaker 2 (56:43):
Yeah, I didn't think they worked on good games anymore.
This one's called Ninja Guiden four. Yeah, it was announced.
Speaker 3 (56:50):
Only their bread and butter flagship.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
Team Ninja is so named after Ninja Guiden, so it's
their apps flagship game.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
All right, let's check out Ninja guidenforced trailer because it
came out with a release date as well. Tooey Techno,
I'm surprised to see Platinum Games involved on me, like
(57:25):
the service game game.
Speaker 3 (57:28):
Well, maybe they learned their lesson and they're like, yeah,
maybe that president is an idiot and like, you know,
not do that.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (57:37):
Maybe they were so good in action oriented games they
should really get back into death. They had these super
stylish action games that everyone loves, and then they drop
it all to be like, nope, the future is a
multiplayer and then they failed miserably, And I'm like, yeah,
(57:58):
maybe stick to what you know and just do really
well in it that everyone loves before. Why would you
drop all of that to pursue.
Speaker 2 (58:07):
Something that no one likes, Like, don't be crazy if
you look at that.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
Speaking into action yeah, hby, Oh my goodness, it's gonna
be so much crash out, so much crash out, so
much rage, creating lots of controllers. The story Sony is
(58:40):
gonna be so happy because it's gonna be selling a
lot of new controllers as cool.
Speaker 2 (58:47):
Uh, lots of people are gonna need new monitors from
all the TVs destroyed and controllers tossed across the room.
Speaker 3 (58:56):
Mm well, well.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
It's coming out on October October is Stacked October twenty first,
twenty twenty five for PlayStation five, the Xbox series, and PCVA,
Steam and Microsoft Store, and will be available through game Pass. Heck, yeah,
I mean that was a pretty good game at all.
I mean it looks great. It's just man, remember when
(59:21):
Ninja Guiden was like two D side scrolling and looked.
Speaker 3 (59:25):
Yeah, those were todays where they.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
Could never make a game like that today though, Ken day,
I don't know, could they I don't. I don't think
anybody would would want to.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
Tick that one too.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
Sure, So if you didn't like the three D Ninja Guiden,
how about a new two D one Ninja Guiden. Rage Bound,
the two D side scrolling action platformer, is also coming
and here is the first Look at that game.
Speaker 3 (59:54):
Yes, I you know it's it's like the same thing
with like the remaster, it enhancing Classic mount. Look, you
didn't like you didn't like three D. Here's a two
D one.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Look at that. Oh my goodness, you didn't like three D?
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
How about two D? I mean, if you don't like
two D, Ninja gaid and then we can't help you.
But hey, you have choices, that's right, diversify. Look at
that fast paced like, Oh, it's so god, it's extremely
fast paced action.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Man, I'm gonna say that is that is like some
like the bullet hell equivalent of a side scrolling action game. Yes, dang,
that is ridiculous. I like it.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
Oh you have two separate ninjas to choose from.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Are you Hyabissa or are you hyabis It's actually it's
actually well it's not actually none of them as that.
Speaker 3 (01:00:56):
The guy's name is Kenji. Apparently, lady h I didn't
catch your name. Yeah. Oh, well.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
You see one engine, you've seen them all?
Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
Yeah, actually you never. Mega Man is never coming back.
Mega is dead. I'm just kidding. Well, we'll see what. Look,
Capcom's got money if they want to reboot Mega man,
they can do it any day. Yeah, I don't think
the money is the issue is the I don't think
there's enough demand demand. Yeah, unfortunately.
Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
I mean you take a look at like, you know
what Kenji Infuna has been doing lately.
Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Capcom's probably making the right choice.
Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
Yeah. Yeah, they're gonna need like a brand new team
to make like Mega man, and I don't know how
they're gonna do it. So, uh wait, did you already
say when that one's coming out and whatnot?
Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
The thirty first of July? You modern platforms.
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Sorry, I'm just no, I didn't say it. I don't.
I don't think I did.
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
Oh okay, yeah, I just well, I mean except right now.
Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Well, I will take this one. Before Derek claims that
I make him read all the horror games, I.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Would never claim such a thing unless it were true.
Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
Well it's not, because I'm taking this one, okay. We
have a firm release date for the newest Silent Hill
game called Silent Hill F that takes place in the
Showa era in Japan, and it's an original story written
by Duke O Seven, the author best known for the
(01:02:41):
When They Cry series. You could look at the newest
trailer of Silent Hill.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
F all right, I yeah, let's let's see what's going
on here?
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
Because no, no, no, wrong game wrong?
Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Wait no, wrong? Stop? What are you doing? No, that's
not it, Baku, I can't believe you did that. Yeah,
the most professional podcast on.
Speaker 8 (01:03:10):
All of you.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
Also, I think you're missing one video?
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
Oh am, I yeah you are.
Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
Are you missing the next one?
Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Okay, well I'll I'll fix that after this is I
don't plan the trailer. Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (01:03:27):
This is my day one game out of this entire list,
this is my day one. I'm a stream this day one,
which if you will it so the it's going to
be released in September twenty fifth, which is right before Scooptober,
so it'll be there just in time, exactly exactly, it's
(01:03:48):
like a week before October. Like, yeah, I have to
let's just start starts Scooptober early man.
Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
Something about Japanese school girls in horror. Just two things
that back, like just doors.
Speaker 3 (01:04:11):
Well more horror games than the other ones. Fud uh.
Speaker 2 (01:04:22):
Oh that's like a mannequin or something.
Speaker 3 (01:04:26):
And you know what else I'm excited about this game
is this is the we've talked about Konami. Right, We've
talked about Konami. We're like, yes, Simon Hill two is
fantastic and Derek should go back and play it, but
it is a remade title. It is not brand new. Right.
And the other game that they have shown off is
(01:04:48):
Metal Gear Solid Delta, which again is a remay game,
not a brand new game. Where's the Brain is finally
a brand new game. This is finally a brand new
So if this hits, we we have to admit that
Konami is in fact back, and I think they have
(01:05:11):
really nailed it here. We'll just have to see the gameplay.
But all the things I've seen so far, they've really
nailed it in this new IP. Oh not new IP
new uh a new entry yeah, I mean the iconic
metal pipe of course has to be there. She as
(01:05:38):
has new weapons you see. Oh the metal pipe?
Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
Yeah, I got that. That's pretty sick. M there love
score games. If we hit ten thousand subscriber, Derek will finish. Uh,
Simon Hill, I don't know about that many.
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
Ten thousand though, Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
Man, I mean one hundred thousand, sure, one hundred thousand.
Gotta gotta set our heights, you know, gotta set our
heights sights high.
Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
I think true, It's true, all right, this one is
coming up on something in twenty fifth. Twenty twenty five
releasing on PS five, Xbox Series n PC. Pre order
is now available, so please go and pick that up,
because I know I am all right.
Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Well, uh, in that case, I'll do this next one then.
Speaker 3 (01:06:39):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:06:40):
Grasshopper Manufacture, led by Suda fifty one just announced their
newest nightp called Romeo is a dead Man. I think they.
I mean, you really got to spoil the ending of
like that?
Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Oh no, that he dies within like the first five
seconds of like.
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
Spoilers, Baku, Come on, buddy, jeez. Definitely.
Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Only the beginning for the game.
Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
Features all the insane action that one would expect from
Suit to fifty one. So let's take a look at
the trailer, in which, well, you know, who knows what's
going to happen in it? I guess Baku knows.
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
I do, well, I say, the first five seconds, more
like the first fifteen seconds.
Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
One two, three? Hey, apparently the.
Speaker 3 (01:07:29):
Presence is actually a humans?
Speaker 4 (01:07:31):
What is that?
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
Good?
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
Okay, little more than fifteen seconds? Yeah, sixteen seconds? He dies?
There you go? He died. This is something Suita fifty
one would put together. Don't worry, this just incase the
dead dear like support system. Okay, it's also got like
(01:07:58):
Rick and Morty thing going on here, something going on
for sure. What in the what? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
What in the fifty one is this?
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Wait, that's fame.
Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
It's definitely got that random energy. But what is this.
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
It's a little bit of a like, uh, mass rider
kind of situation.
Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
The guyver mm hmmm, uh huh, like you know android,
he RoboCup yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, that kind of thing.
Speaker 8 (01:08:40):
Yeah, oh, you know, it's kind of like a it's
kind of like, uh, you know, no more heroes, but instead.
Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
Of coins, it's blood because it's not in a Nintendo console.
Gotta love that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
Oh man, ultra violent science fiction.
Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
Oh yeah, with some Suda fifty one isms there, I
dig it, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Yeah, his signature is all over. He's not even hiding it.
Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
Oh no, it's so good.
Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
It's so good.
Speaker 2 (01:09:24):
All right. Well, it's gonna launch sometime next year for
PS five the Xbox Series n PC.
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
So you know I got that. I told you right,
Like any of these titles on a regular day, would
have been a thumbnail. But no. Yeah, and it's not over.
We still got a couple of heavy hitter coming. Oh Jesus, Yes,
all right, this next one. I am personally the most
excited out of all the games in here. I'm the
(01:09:52):
most excited about this one. And it is not like
a hyperbole, not even close. This is my number one
most excited, most into to pay the game. And we
talked about this last December when we were talking about
our GG Studio's newest ip, which was then called Project Century.
It is else. There's a working title for the game
(01:10:14):
now and a new trailer. So let's look at the trailer.
We'll talk about it.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
All right, Yeah, let's do that. Okay, a lot of
mature games here, so hopefully hopefully y'all are you know,
grown ups?
Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
I hope your guests are all grown ups? Man, m dude,
look at that swag, that noir kind of kind of vibe, right,
mm hmm, I love it. I used that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
Detective maybe yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
He's actually a detective. You have it right on the spot.
So this is like nineties Japan, Tokyo.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
Japan, nineteen eighteen.
Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
I think this is nineteen forty three, nineteen forty three.
I think this is always like an actually oh okay, yeah,
so basically like where part of the Yakuza game takes place,
but this is the bridge that gives it away. It's
like I think, I think this is actually do which
is as.
Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Like all of that trouble for just some crazy dame.
I'm just making stuff up.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
I don't I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
But oh getting hit by a Molotov cocktailed.
Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
Yeah, well that's the Yakuza game. Yeah, I mean strangers, fine,
show him no mercy.
Speaker 7 (01:11:46):
Woo got a name, milcoola dooda doo.
Speaker 9 (01:11:57):
Jab.
Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
I've always loved this, like nineteen forties kind of le
noir looks. I'm glad that they decided to do all that, Sona,
Well what I got you to do? Project Century is
now known a US Stranger than Heaven. That's the game's title.
(01:12:22):
Now that I know, I'm so excited for this. I'm
so excited for this. This is I get no hyperbole.
This out of all the heavy hitters, this game is
my most one most anticipated game coming. Now, I will
say a couple more things. Now, the previous trailer that
(01:12:44):
we saw that the game takes place in nineteen fifteen
That's what I thought, and you're not wrong. Now, this
trailer is set in the forties during World War Two,
so it is actually uncertain at this time. If they
had just decided now we don't want to do like
nineteen fifteen, we changed the time period of the game,
(01:13:05):
or if the game had intended to cover a long
period of time that's about them.
Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
Yes, Project Century.
Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
Which which would make sense right, This is like the
Ultimate Yahkuza prequel. It talks about the entire history of
Yakuza from the inception. Would be wouldn't that be crazy?
Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
It'd be pretty sweet?
Speaker 3 (01:13:26):
Now? Yeah? Man? Yeah, yeah, as opposed to Ronan Samurai
that started like the Yakuza like it, that's where it started.
So what if they went through this entire thing and
talked about it through the wars and then brings you to
the modern day and connects it to the Legged Dragon series.
Wouldn't that be crazy?
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Would that still be a brand new IP? Though?
Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
If it did, I feel like it would be, because like,
Judgment is a new IP, but Judgment is transent oh
con gentually connected to the yakuz A series. But series. Yeah,
so there's no release time frame or platforms announced. Yeah,
which you know, it's it's sad, but I would imagine
(01:14:10):
by looking at the game, I'm gonna say, PS five
Xbox Series, maybe switch to and definitely PC. I'm gonna
go on a limb but they have not announced it,
but just just look at the piers.
Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Maybe maybe even switch to I don't know, hard.
Speaker 3 (01:14:27):
Maybe even switch to We'll see. All right, this next.
Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
What said, by the way, did you know that came
out recently?
Speaker 3 (01:14:36):
I've been switched to. Yeah. Yeah, I've been seeing people
streaming on a switch to, so it's definitely out. Yeah,
like many people streaming on the switch too. I'm just
messing on the game though. I feel like you're gonna
lose your mind seeing this next game, I think. So
let's see if I'm right about this. Okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Well, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Dark System, and Marvel Studio are
three names that Bacco didn't think to put in the
same sentence, but they are working together to bring us
a new four v four tag fighting game called Marvel
(01:15:17):
Tocon Fighting Souls. Look at you, I'm gonna like this one.
Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
Yeah, I mean yeah, now right or not you played
a game is another thing. But it was going to
blow your mind a little bit. This is a show
ender for for the state of play. By the way,
(01:15:46):
this was the last thing they announced, was.
Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
That beautiful Joe's V. No, no, okay, it's a Gundam B.
Speaker 3 (01:15:53):
So it's it's an Iron Man V. Now they completely
redesigned all the characters. Look at how great that animation look. Yeah,
Miss Marvel Spider Man. It's so clean these animations. Then
(01:16:15):
the design looks so good.
Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
That is pretty sick. That's a gorgeous game. But you're right,
I'm probably not gonna play it. I'm not a big
Marvel guy.
Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
Surprisingly either neither of mine. I'm not a big Marvel guy.
Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
Like I know some of these characters from like the
movies and stuff, which is also surprising because I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:16:45):
Also don't watch movies Doctor Doom, Let's go, But you cannot.
Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
I can't stop looking away from just like the animations.
Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
Amount of I mean, system Works, crag Storm, the Storm books, fantastic.
The Storm design looks so good. They completely redesigned all
the characters in house, well you know, with with Marvels
supervision of course. Yeah, they completely redesigned it in like
(01:17:18):
the Japanese like anime style.
Speaker 7 (01:17:20):
Basically, and they look so good Iron Man, the Hulk suit,
these oldie scenes.
Speaker 3 (01:17:32):
Hell writer, Yeah, and this is just the initial roster
because I'm pretty sure they're gonna have like at least
a couple of DLCs with more characters.
Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
There's no way this is all the characters. Oh no,
this is just the initial roster. Yeah, you're gonna have
to have a lot of additional people there. That's that's
for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
I'm going.
Speaker 2 (01:18:00):
It's coming out six for PS five PC and Steam,
so yeah, pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (01:18:06):
I'm gonna go on a limb and say that it's
going to be probably Cyclops, Silock, uh, Wolverine by for sure, Gambit,
you need Gambit, you need Gambit, Okay, the X Man
because when I see Storm, like, it's not just Storm
and I love Storm, but it's not just Storm. Storm
(01:18:28):
implas that X Men is all game for this.
Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
Yeah yeah, and Gambit is obviously like the cool one
from the X Men.
Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
Yeah, so yeah, I'm probably you know, and Spider Man.
I would expect like, you know, Carnage or like Venom
to join. I think those would be pretty good. And
what what's what's the name. I expect Juggernaut to show
up actually we need to put some villains in there.
Expect Juggernaut to show up. You know. Maybe I feel.
Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
Like Deadpool became a fan favorite, but I mean he
is kind of a guns and Katana's kind of guy,
So I don't know how that might.
Speaker 3 (01:19:08):
No, I could see I could see that Pool coming in.
I mean, especially for DLC, people will pay to play its.
Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
Oh yeah, I'm sure absolutely.
Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
And you know, yeah, so I'm expecting all those guys
to come in. A couple more people from like Avengers, uh,
I would definitely expect them to show up, but yeah,
these this is just Fantastic Four. I'm expecting Fantastic four
to show up, uh in here because I think there's
like a new movie coming out too, So like there's
no way they're not gonna squeeze Fantastic Four in there.
Uh So, Again, as much as I don't know, like
(01:19:40):
I Marvel, they already.
Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
Had an Elastic Girl in there, so I think, you know,
the the stretchy guy.
Speaker 3 (01:19:49):
Not the stretchy guys.
Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
Yeah, probably probably not him. I feel like the the
invisible girl or whatever, she'd probably be really difficult to include.
The the fire probably yeah, the human.
Speaker 3 (01:20:02):
Torch, Human Torch Yeah, sorry, I think that's his name. Yeah, no,
I think it's Human Towards. Yeah. I'm not us well
versed with the Fantastic four IP. I'm bigger with like
X Men and like, you know, the Avengers stuff and
oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20:17):
Dude, I mean they could basically just make it a
gotcha at a certain point with all the carriers in Marvel.
Speaker 3 (01:20:22):
Don't give them ideas. Oh my god. Yeah no, they're
gonna have Wolverine. They're gonna have Deadpool, that's for sure.
So let's move on to the next game. A new
announcement from Capcom Everybody, Pragmatic is real and it can
hurt you. This game is set in the near future.
(01:20:46):
Pragmata transports players to the Moon where space farer h
meets Android Diana to find themselves in a dangerous situation
when they must survive an onslaught of hostile AI in
control of the space station. So let's take a look
at Pragmata, because we've seen some things from Pragmata before
(01:21:08):
for many times. Actually, we've talked about this game so
many times.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
The name does not ring a bell though, well because
nothing concrete ever like got shown. So there's like no
nothing to like attach a memory fix.
Speaker 3 (01:21:22):
But this is a very concrete trailer with like a
pretty good uh you know, date with our like actual gameplay,
this time advanced AI.
Speaker 7 (01:21:35):
It's actual gameplay, the line between dreams and reality.
Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
We create life.
Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
For our future. But this is sort of like the
backstory del Phi Corporation.
Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Yeah, it's like the Umbrella corpor I'm sure.
Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
Yeah, sure they could do no harm or Skynet or whatever. Yep.
And are these things trying to kill us? Why these
things trying to kill us? Is a great question.
Speaker 2 (01:22:07):
Oh there you are all better? Yeah, hm hm, yeah,
that's up.
Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
I saw we were looking at a game. We're like, yeah,
it looks like dead space. It looks like dead space
with uh with a tiny girl on your back. They
already had on your back the entire game. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
I think what you're talking about there is Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
I think I can help.
Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
Oh god, also she can help with the little with
the little sisters, yeah, yes, uh and the big daddy.
H bioshocks Yeah, it's bioshocking space infinite. Yeah, this is
BioShock in space. Maybe not control.
Speaker 3 (01:23:01):
No, I mean it plays more like it plays more
like that's that space. Oh okay, Uh but I I
can definitely see where the BioShock thing comes.
Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
From, or why I am I'm conjuring that in my
mind anyway, Yeah, that's it's cool, sad indeed.
Speaker 3 (01:23:17):
Okay, okay, look how about we call you Diana. He
named her, now he has to keep her. Yeah, they
didn't have a definitive time. They're like, that's why I said.
(01:23:37):
Cacom's message is a pragmatic is real nice, it's cute.
I love it. I love it. I again, if if
you need to take your time to make a great game, great,
just take your time. But I'm really hoping that it's
going to be a good one, and quite frankly, I
I think I will actually play this one. I'm not
(01:23:59):
big on shooters, but the third person shooters I can stand.
It's like Resident Evil.
Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
Yeah, well, go ahead and talk about this one.
Speaker 3 (01:24:08):
Oh yeah, sorry. By the way, this game is coming
out on twenty six on PS five, Xbox Series and
pcv seam.
Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
Yes, all right, did you want me to talk about
this next one? Or are you gonna handle this next one?
Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
No? You you'd love games?
Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
There are fine? Well, so, uh, Bacco always makes me handle.
Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
All of the Homer games. It's not true, categorically false.
Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Capcom is bringing another heavy hitter. They've just announced the
ninth mainline series game in the Resident Evil series. It's
called Resident Evil, not nope, Resident Evil Requiem. Yeah. The
game will take us all the way back to Raccoon City,
(01:25:00):
where the nightmares are all beginning and the girls are
pretty uh. The game will focus on psychological horror and
death escaping action.
Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
Soh Derek's favorite genre, get back to Raccoon City where? Yeah?
When when he doesn't play when he doesn't play RPGs,
he's playing psychological horror games. Oh you guys, guys didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:25:23):
Know which is to say. I uh only play RPGs
unless Baku makes me play them or you make me
play them by subscribing to hit Point. When we hit
a thousand, I'm going back to something.
Speaker 3 (01:25:40):
Son and Hill two. Oh yeah, that's going back to
sonon Hill too. When when we hit a thousand, subscribers,
tell your friends about us.
Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
Oh look everybody from uh from death note yes, Oh wait, no,
that's that's not that's not him.
Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
I think this is the new protagonist for are you nine?
Name is Grace? Yes, my office?
Speaker 9 (01:26:11):
Oh coming.
Speaker 2 (01:26:17):
Man, she needs to organize that see lock your PC,
lock your piec, lock your piec, lock your piec.
Speaker 3 (01:26:22):
Okay, standard government procedure. Lock your PC when you walk away.
I don't care if you work in a.
Speaker 5 (01:26:30):
Skiff you asked for yesterday, it'll.
Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
Be I would tore her a new one if if
I see someone not locking their PC when they walk
away from the desk.
Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
Seriously, they should uh set up some sort of like.
Speaker 3 (01:26:46):
And this is the FB. You're in an intelligence community,
you should know better.
Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
But listen, listen back, Like if it was so high security,
would they have a presence detector connected to like a
USB port on the computer that would just automatically lock
after you step away.
Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
Also it's their fault, right, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:27:03):
Like you can't make it the problem with like trying
to dummy proof I guess things, and like leaving it
up to the users. They can always make a bigger dummy.
Perhaps it's time for you to face the past.
Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
Derek's favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
Hyah ships down stick loose hm hmm coming.
Speaker 7 (01:27:53):
I don't know that you're the one that I've been
searching for, special one, the chosen one.
Speaker 2 (01:28:01):
Craft Chad says, this is what she gets for not
locking her PC. You don't know this, but Baku is
the one who did that to her.
Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
That's right, lock your PC or else everyone's gone, dude, Seriously,
that's the police station from r E two.
Speaker 2 (01:28:26):
Seriously though, Now, part would be to put in some
sort of crepit Bluetooth connected you know, presence detector like
in the seat, like you stand up, the computer locks. Yeah,
sure that wouldn't work for like people who use standing desks,
but I'm pretty sure nobody really uses those.
Speaker 3 (01:28:44):
True February twenty seventh. They have an exact release day,
and that's what I respect them for, not not this
like whenever in twenty twenty sixth nonsent. There's actual date
on this, and again that date is February twenty seven. Man,
(01:29:05):
I am excited for this and this, Derek, I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (01:29:09):
You know, the more I think about it, like the
more like it seems like it would be so easy
to have like a Bluetooth connected presence detector like in
a mat underneath your desk that would just you know,
it would be kind of like a scale, like it
could tell when you're like standing on it by the
weight and then you get off of it and then boom,
computer locked.
Speaker 3 (01:29:30):
So easy how's the copium is it?
Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
I mean, why why is that not a thing like
you would think you'd be like.
Speaker 3 (01:29:41):
You know, that's your million dollar idea, Derek. I think
you should put it together, put a pool type and just.
Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
Like sound shame that I mentioned it on a podcast
streaming ye ye and it beat us to it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
You just gave away millions of dollars, Derek. This could
have been it right here. That was a big break.
Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
Well anyways, on to hit point. Uh So, Yeah, the
game looked kind of neat, I guess, I mean beautiful,
but it's also a Silent Hills game or no, no
Resident Evil game. Wow, Silent Hill and Resident Evil at
the same like, was that it the same state of play?
Like so anything? Uh?
Speaker 6 (01:30:19):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:30:19):
So Resident Evil actually came out on the Stomach game Fest.
It was the the show closer for Stumma game Fest
Live was Resident Evil recreem uh silent Okal was talked
about in the state of play so like a different
days like two days prior.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
Yeah, that's cool. I mean, man, I know that there
are so there Avalanche reviews. Jared gotta be so stoked
right now.
Speaker 3 (01:30:51):
This guy is stoked. I mean, I'm stoked, don't get
me wrong, Like just because you know Stranger Didn't Haven't
is my number one most anticipication. I'm stoked by all
these other games too, So I don't want to like
undermine that feeling because boy I am I'm a longtime
RI fan. Uh personally not huge, but I have played
(01:31:12):
all the like recent remix and I'm just like falling
in love with it all over again. Speaking of being
a big fan, though, I am a huge fan of
this upcoming game, and I am contractually obligated to play
once this release. But let me take it back for
a second. First of all, I want to admit that
I've lost the bet on this one. I bet someone
(01:31:35):
I can of cook that Persona six would be announced first,
but no, we got Persona four R and R stands
for revival. That's right. The newest teaser trailer for Persona
four Revival here it is. Let's take a look. Yeah,
I lost the bet. I bet someone I can't cook.
Like literally, I'm like a Piece six is gonna come
(01:31:56):
out soon. First, I lost.
Speaker 2 (01:31:58):
It's funny told Amy that they announced a person for
remake and her first word was why, I mean, you
and I both know people were coming, so that is
not a surprise to me.
Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
But dude, like seeing it.
Speaker 2 (01:32:21):
Though, uh huh, this is.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Just a teaser trailer. Guys, don't expect too much from it.
I think like a longer fool of trailer is going
to come out later, like maybe in the next month,
like we'll see something bigger. Yes, actually maybe TCS will
see like a fooler trailer.
Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
That's exactly what I was thinking. Yeah, so, but hey,
pretty sick. Yeah, my first thing. Amy said though, why,
I was like, well, so, well, here's why. Here's here's why.
Uh you know, it's like, you know that it's a
it's a game that was released on PlayStation two and
it was you know, remade on the Vita, but nobody
(01:33:02):
had a Vita, and then it was ported to the
Nintendo's which eventually and PC. You know, so you know
it's nice. And she's like, well, why aren't they making
Persona five? And I said, well, they did make a
Persona five a couple of times. She said, okay, well
why aren't they making Persona six? And I said, well,
(01:33:22):
I'm sure that they are. And she's like, well they
should make persona seven.
Speaker 3 (01:33:25):
Then, Amy, you're asking way too much of Atlas. Please
scale it down it.
Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
But it's funny because I mean, I'm like, you know what, Amy,
there's a lot of people who are going to say
the exact same thing.
Speaker 3 (01:33:40):
That you just did. And so here's what we're p seven.
Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
But here's why why they're making Persona four remake and
Persona three remake is because like their A team was
like working on Metaphor Refantasio for a while, and now
that team's probably working on personas, but you know, you
might have wanted to play something else of theirs in
the meantime. So here's something that the B team has.
Speaker 3 (01:34:07):
Been putting together and.
Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
Derogatory or anything.
Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
But yeah, no, absolutely not. But I feel like Metaphor
was worth it though, you know, like I know all
waiting for Pie six, but Metaphor was worth it. It
was such an amazing game and an amazing experience and
I still think it's one of the best games to
have come out in so so long, Like it's so good. Uh,
(01:34:33):
play play Metaphor if you guys haven't played Metaphor. And
it's a pretty long game and it's shorter than most
Persona and more forgiving than most Persona affairs. But a
great game nonetheless.
Speaker 2 (01:34:46):
Yeah. Right, So I'm word two in Chess says now
is the time for the B team to remaster one
and two.
Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
I don't think so. Have it happen personally, Do not
think they're ever going to touch one into again?
Speaker 2 (01:34:59):
Well, they need to do one too, and to.
Speaker 3 (01:35:03):
They needed one two and two again.
Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
Well, I mean because there's there's two Innocent sin and
to Eternal Punishment.
Speaker 3 (01:35:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
Yeah, so Innocent sin. Oh, it was good. It was
really good. It's more of a traditional you know, I
will say that it is innocent Sin Uh has some
of the best interpersonal like character development that I've experienced
in a RPG, like up to that point when I
played it, because like I feel like, because it doesn't
(01:35:34):
have any of that social link stuff, I would not
want them to implement that in Persona two and one
at least I wouldn't put it front and center like
they do with the modern personas. But like, man, they
really ought to they So anyways, point was before they
like split all of the timelines essentially with what you
(01:35:56):
can do. Uh, they were really good at like creating
care characters and like developing them and interpersonal relationships.
Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
But we like when you when when the protagonists can
establish bonds and friendships with just about anybody. Nothing is canon,
so they can't like develop any specific scenes that really
rely on those things. So yeah, that's that's all I
really had to say about that. Some of some top
(01:36:25):
tier Atlas stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
Yeah, you know what. I what I do see them
doing though, like maybe in the near future is remastering
all three and put them into a single bundle for
people to buy. I see that as a more likely
scenario than for them to remake all three games. Yeah,
I don't see it. The modern Persona started at three,
(01:36:48):
so they remade three, like that's the formula that works
that people associate to Persona.
Speaker 2 (01:36:55):
I think. I think that I would want to see
them rather do that with SMT one two.
Speaker 3 (01:37:01):
And if oh for the interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:37:04):
Super Famicom, because I mean they're they're pretty different games,
but they're all pretty short. Yes, you could combine that
into a single package. I think.
Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
Oh, I can see that.
Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
Yeah, and that you'd have enough to like work with
because it all takes place in like a in nineteen nineties,
you know, Tokyo, Japan. I want to say, uh, sometime
sometime somewhere in Japan, but it's like a post apocalyptic Japan.
And anyways, smt IF is what leads into the Persona series,
which is pretty sweet.
Speaker 3 (01:37:35):
Yeah, well we'll we'll see what they do. I mean,
they're sitting on a ton of money that's just waiting
to be you know, retrieved.
Speaker 2 (01:37:43):
Right yeah, yeah, all right, Well anyways, sorry, that's that's
way way off.
Speaker 3 (01:37:50):
Yeah, anyway, back back to this game though, obviously that
was just a teaser trailer. Again, don't expect anything crazy
until like a month or so from now. I would
say there is no release time frame us off yet
and currently it is being developed for PS five Xbox
Series and PCPSD in which I feel like we've set
many times today. It's like PS five Xbox Series and
(01:38:12):
PCPs five Xbox Series, Like where's switch to is? Like
Switch stories are getting no love from these announcements right now?
Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
Well you know, yeah, probably because Switch two is gonna
have its own Nintendo Direct here pretty soon.
Speaker 3 (01:38:24):
Oh you know what, that's probably what's happening, guys. So
if there is going to be a new Nintendo Direct
that we catch winner, we'll be sure to let you
guys know. And with that, that's the end of our
game announcements. Time for some industry news, because the news
(01:38:44):
isn't quite over yet. There are news that doesn't necessarily
link to a game that we can show you, but
we can certainly talk about some industry news. Are you
ready for some industry news, mister.
Speaker 2 (01:38:55):
Derek, I'm ready for some industry news.
Speaker 3 (01:38:57):
All right. So this first one here, I think you
will find it very interesting, maybe to get you to
play some of these games, because I think maybe this
is one of those series that you haven't played a
lot of and maybe this can help you. So. Uh,
some time ago, we've talked about how Bamco wants to
(01:39:18):
bring more UH Tales games remaster, right, so they're remastered
games like Sinfonia and what is it?
Speaker 6 (01:39:28):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:39:29):
Oh, what's that? What's that other one that was on
Xbox Gosh.
Speaker 2 (01:39:34):
I can't remember it?
Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
Graces No, No, well they did remaster Grace's f recently.
That was the most recent one that got released. That
was the most recently released. That was another one in
the back of my mind that area. No, it's dang
could be anything tels games titles of Vesperia. Sorry, yes,
(01:39:55):
this is Vespiria, so it's Vespiia. So these are all
these like remasters coming out, but they had said before
that they look to do more of these remasters and
really just bring it to modern, you know, standards. Right, So, uh,
this is kind of an announcement of an announcement, which
is to say that it's kind of nothing. But we
(01:40:17):
are expecting them to announce another remaster project this summer.
Do we know what it is right now? We don't know.
If you have any guests, you should definitely leave them
in the comments.
Speaker 2 (01:40:30):
I think it would make sense for them to do, uh, Fantasia,
do the original Fantasia?
Speaker 3 (01:40:36):
Have they not remastered and release Fantasia already?
Speaker 2 (01:40:40):
Not recently? I mean I know that they've remade it
once already.
Speaker 3 (01:40:44):
Like wait, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
Tales Wait, I'm thinking yeah, Tales of Fantation. That's the
the original Supernintendo One.
Speaker 3 (01:40:52):
This is not original Sorry, that was Spentation not available
on Steam already. Because that's the whole point is they
want to bring these games to Steam and stuff and
modern platforms, so if it's already on a modern platform
then it probably won't check. I think it's the abyss,
to be honest with you, I like as much as
(01:41:13):
I don't didn't like the Abyss. A lot of people
loved it there there it's not interesting. Well, Fantasia is
another good candidate, I think, like, I mean, what what
better ways.
Speaker 2 (01:41:26):
It's the one I've played, So that's the one I
care about.
Speaker 3 (01:41:29):
Yeah, Fantasia. Uh, you know Destiny Destiny too, and not
uh not Eternia, I mean Destiny too, like the one
that never got released in the States. That might be interesting,
like the actual sequel to Destiny, like a connected story
and everything. Yeah, but I I in the back of
(01:41:53):
my mind, I'm really thinking abys like, if I have
to put money on it, I think it tells the abyss.
Speaker 9 (01:41:58):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:41:59):
It is very po popular. It has not been remastered yet,
and it's just kind of like ready to be supported too.
Speaker 2 (01:42:07):
Tales of Destiny would be great.
Speaker 3 (01:42:10):
That's what I'm saying. Destney and Destiny too.
Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
Oh did you say that?
Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (01:42:12):
I was, I was, yeah, I was. I was doing
this thing where I hear something I think it's my
own idea and then just say it in my voice.
Speaker 3 (01:42:20):
That's okay, that's that's that's the content creator.
Speaker 2 (01:42:23):
All right, all right, but but listen, what if they
did Destiny and Tales of Destiny.
Speaker 3 (01:42:28):
Too, Yeah, Destney and Destiny.
Speaker 2 (01:42:29):
Way better, way better idea.
Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
Way better idea definitely. OK. All right, so that's the
first piece of industry news. So I'm excited. I I
like the Tail series and I would love to see
more of these games be brought up. Call it game preservation,
call it whatever you want, just I want them to
be more available. There's also yeah, there's also a lot
(01:42:53):
of TAILS games that were like stuck behind like a
three DS or a DS that like never got ported,
like you know, some of those like Tells I think
n C yeah, stuff like that. So like Rebirth yep, Rebirth,
Uh yeah, I would love to see those like come
to a more modern platform as well. So we'll see
what they've got for us. And if you like these,
(01:43:16):
definitely support it because at the end of the day,
you vote with your wallet, and that's all they really
care about is if you buy it, then they know
to give you more of these things. But if they
see that no one's buying it, they're not going to
spend any more efforts on it because they see that
no one's interested. Right, That's just how it is, all right.
(01:43:36):
Next up, we've got some great news over at Tango
Game Works, so we had Yeah, so remember last time
we talked about them getting like basically thrown away into
the garbage disposal by and then.
Speaker 2 (01:43:53):
And then they're saying like, oh, yeah, we need some
like we need some heavy hitting like like what game.
Speaker 3 (01:43:58):
Two days before? Yeah, yeah, or something like that. All
the day before they had just set that and then
like the next day they're like, yeah, the entire studio
fire gone, get out of here, pack pack your stuff.
We don't have the money for it. We're Microsoft. But
just before they hit the blade, Crafton, a Korean company
(01:44:19):
had bought out the studio and kept some of the
staff at least. And now Tango Game Works is reopened
and they are working on a new IP and they're
recruiting staff for it. But that's the great news. I'd
love to see it. I love to see it.
Speaker 1 (01:44:36):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:44:36):
And and not like Crafton is just buying up the
IP situation and get you guys, like, let's hold fingers
crossed that they are really trying to make good use
of these talents and not like you know, just trying
to buy my name and like find a name.
Speaker 2 (01:44:53):
The corpse around like Magnavox or whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:44:56):
Yeah. Good stuff, I mean better than what EA would
have done or what Microsoft did do. Uh yeah. And
then speaking of Korean studio, next up, we've got news
over from shiff Up, the folks who made Stellar Blade.
So remember Derek, we talked about how they are looking
(01:45:17):
to do like a Stellar Blade two right follow up
within like the next like two three years. And also
the other piece of news was at the end of
that rope map that they showed the shareholder, there was
something called Project Witches, right, and that's sort of like
the last thing on their rope map. Well, Project Witches
is now called Project Spirits that they have officially announced
(01:45:40):
like yes, as a matter of fact, this is a thing,
and it's actually now we're going to call it Project Spirits,
and their recruiting development staff for it, so that that
is coming. It's going to be the new flagship IP
from shiff Up. And I'm excited for them because these
are these like coming up studios that have you know,
(01:46:01):
set up some pretty big hitters that are threatening like
the balance of the like industry, and I'd love to
see what other stuff they can bring out, uh to
really sort of like send these old guards into panic mode.
And I'd love to see it, because that's the only
way to keep the competition alive.
Speaker 2 (01:46:20):
Pretty much like the rest of Laurel's. Long enough, someone's
gonna start eating your dinner exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:46:28):
Like, say what you want about Stellar Blade and the
outfits and you know, the booty or whatever. Dude, by
all accounts, that game plays really good. That's the thing, Like,
I know, the other things after your attention, but the
game plays really good and we can't ignore that, right,
and it's sold really good. We also can know that, Yeah,
(01:46:49):
we'll see what ship Up's got, you know, wrapped underneath.
But they are hiring new developers. So if you're a
developer and you're interested in working for Tango Game works
all shipped up, they are hiring all right. And the
last piece of news, speaking of o guards, Kobe Techno
and Gust will be hosting a new live stream on
(01:47:09):
June thirteenth at nine pm Japan time, So that probably
means like June twelve, nine am instead in Eastern time.
But I'm just giving you what they sent out to
announce the release details of the newest Al Tillier game
(01:47:30):
that we've actually talked about before. They've they're sent out
like a teaser trailerst some time ago, and the game
is called Tillier rez Ressiriana, The Red Alchemist and the
White Guardian. Okay, so this game is actually based on
(01:47:55):
the mobile game of the similar title. It is still
Tilly Resireana, not the but not the Archemist, the Red
Alchemist and the White Guardian. This is different. So it's
based on that same world with the same characters, but
it's a completely new story. It's a completely first person
(01:48:16):
play experience, no gotcha, no online anything. It's just like
a regular Artilier game, first player RPG. And the bit
of the title that's changed is the Red Alchemist and
the White Guardian. We'll find out more on this live stream,
and again the time is June thirteenth, nine pm Japan time,
(01:48:40):
and you can watch it on YouTube, and we'll have
the link in the descriptions so that if you want
to watch this live stream, which I will imagine we'll
be in Japanese, you can certainly do so through the link.
Speaker 2 (01:48:53):
Alrighty, yes, now, before we wind down, let's let's take
a look at some of the comments that we got
from last week and respond to any super chats that
might have come in. I don't know if we had any,
but one Oh yes, yes we did have one from
dud Dude Bro. I'm sorry, Bro, Bro Dude man Bro
(01:49:14):
says says, I love you Baku.
Speaker 3 (01:49:20):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:49:21):
From last week, we had some questions or comments rather
that came in. Uh, so I'll go ahead and respond
to this one. First. Here from Little Legendary Games says, hey, y'all,
Kendall here, Uh, game director for Shade proto call. That's
by the way, guys, do you remember Shade Protocol? Yesha
(01:49:42):
last week that absolutely looking blew me away platform? Yeah,
uh yeah, So I just wanted to say thanks for
showing our trailer and for the super kind words. We
were getting overwhelmed by positive feedback and it's incredibly uh
incredible to see really appreciate all you supporting indies like this.
Speaker 3 (01:50:05):
Heck yeah yeah. That that split screen where they did
this like mechanics where they do the split screen on
on like tred platform and then like you can jump
like you can jump over and then it comes back. Yeah,
that mechanic looks so cool and I was like, why
do they do that? How did they do that? You
know what? You know how we can answer that question.
(01:50:25):
We bring them on a hit point and just ask
them point blank, how did you do that? They explain
it and they're like, all right, see you later. Questions asked, goodbye, Candle,
thanks for coming in. No, of course, she would love
to have you come by, Candle, that would be cool.
Thank you so much. Next up, we've got two comments
from folks who worked on Colossus Eternal Blight. One from
(01:50:49):
one such rustic Panda Games says, dude, I'm so so
honored that Colossus Eternal Blight made it to your stream.
Your reactions made me so happy. Thank you so much.
Your reaction, Derek made him so happy. And also we've
got it is me j Audio, lead for Colossus Eternal
(01:51:09):
play here. Really happy to see you like the trailer.
Thanks so much for your excitement and hype. Dude, thank
you guys for making a game to get us all excited.
I know we've done nothing but yap about your game.
You guys are doing the hard Warner.
Speaker 2 (01:51:26):
You're kidding me right, Oh my gosh, I can't I
can't wait to get hands on. I'm going to have
to play Colossus because to us, I mean, that's that's
that's like my favorite kind of like action RBG, like
just straight up the pinnacle of the genre is the
two D style. So mm hmm, heck, yeah, let's let's
(01:51:46):
let's make that work. Next up, from something classic, uh
probably one of the Tylers or something I don't know,
said thank you for shouting out quartet much appreciated you.
Speaker 3 (01:51:59):
Wish Tyler wrote this, that's our question. Thank you, guys.
Next up, not from the developers, now from just dressed
Berg fifty two eighty two, who said, so many games
I hadn't seen before. That really happens. Wish listed so
(01:52:21):
many afterwards, I know, and you're welcome. That also happens
to me every before every show. As I'm writing the docket.
The other thing that I do is I go straight
to my what is it called Steam, and I wish
us a bunch of games. Like as I'm writing the show,
I'm wish listing games at the same time. So yeah,
(01:52:43):
and as soon as it comes out, I'll see it
and I'll pick it up. Yeah, it's this show has
not done my bank account any favor, I think. Yeah,
I don't even have an excuse, like we have a
whole show where we talk about these games. I can't
even fringe ignorance. I know this came out right.
Speaker 2 (01:53:02):
No, you talked about it, but we've legitimately though. I
know we've talked about so many RPGs that it's so
easy to like mistake one for the other, or like
let one slip through the cracks. It's hard so you
have to watch them.
Speaker 3 (01:53:18):
So yeah, this.
Speaker 2 (01:53:19):
Next one comes from old time, old time viewer. Dude,
I know I've been I think I've been chatting with
this guy on twitch chat, maybe even YouTube chat when
I streamed on YouTube. Anyways, Pimpjira says, I, I'll keep
an eye out for this. Uh, hang on, let me
(01:53:40):
try this again. I'll keep an eye out for a
lot of this stuff. But of all of the new games,
I'm most intrigued by Tactics Returners, even though I hate
the title. He says. The same goes for Seed of Nostalgia,
which I'm looking forward to.
Speaker 3 (01:53:58):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:53:58):
It was nice to watch hit Point again. Been missing
it for a bit, and I'm pretty sure I was
late at least in the first five hundred subbed before
these stopped going up on the Super Derek channel. Thank you,
ah man. It's been awesome to see some longtime viewers
hanging around heck yeah, And then from racer X ninety,
(01:54:23):
who says I need a second job to pay for
the flood of interesting RPGs.
Speaker 3 (01:54:30):
So do I. All of us are having a little
Dylan little hard time struggling here, keep.
Speaker 2 (01:54:39):
A little bit. Yeah, dude, it's so many, and it's
just it's probably even worse today. Like, man, there's so many,
so many good looking games.
Speaker 3 (01:54:49):
But today's show was packed. What was your favorite out
of all these? Like the thing that you are like, ooh,
I'm gonna need to play that.
Speaker 2 (01:55:00):
Oh, the one that I'm definitely gonna need to play,
I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:55:04):
Life right now.
Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
It's such a cop out, but like I know, I'm
gonna have to play through percent of four again. Yeah,
so I know that that's gonna be a thing. But
uh let's see, let me let me look back through
some of these, because I know the Scott Pilgrim one,
that one stole my attention, Mina the Hollower that was
(01:55:25):
a heck of a strong opener. Oh yeah, let's see
the oh fun fantasy tactics, like, uh yeah, I'll probably
want to check that one out because it's like a
good time too. But Digimond's story time Stranger had me caring.
(01:55:46):
They had another they had another chance to make me care,
and I think I care a little bit now. Uh yeah,
Romeo was a dead man with Suda fifty one, oh man,
picking just one. I'm looking back through these. My god,
I don't even know, man, it's so many. I know
(01:56:08):
it's easy to say like Persona four revival though, because
I know it's like the sure thing m oh Man
for me.
Speaker 3 (01:56:17):
I'm I'm gonna surprise some folks, like I already said
that I'm the most excited for a Stranger in Heaven,
so let's not count that one. And also uh sn
and hill f that I said I would day one
the game like for sure this year, so excide from
those two Beast of Reincarnation game Free, I cannot believe
(01:56:39):
I'm saying this totally out of left field. Game freak
game has got me very excited. And see what they're
able to do, and they and and she has a
loyal K nine companion, And I'm a huge dog lower like,
I'm sorry, you have a K nine companion that you
can play and fight with you, Okay, I'm sold done,
(01:57:01):
Like yeah, give it to me it is.
Speaker 2 (01:57:03):
It is wild to me and and insane. I think that, Yeah,
it feels I'm still speechless when I think about game
Freak doing this. It feels like some sort of four
D chess move that says like it says like the
Pokemon company is the problem, not.
Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
Us, And it's then the game is not said to
be available on the switch to, which is a kind
of a slap in the face to I.
Speaker 2 (01:57:35):
Don't know, they've been getting a lot of fleck for
a while from people who who know that Pokemon games
should be better than they are. Yeah, and I gosh,
I mean this has this has to be some sort
of man.
Speaker 3 (01:57:56):
Right, But I forgot to mention who the publisher is. Actually,
I didn't write down who the publisher is, just my fault.
But a publisher is not Nintendo. I'll say that now.
For sure. It's not Nintendo, because because if it was,
it be on switch to or something, right, yeah, yeah,
or exclusive to switch to even no in Nintendo. But yeah, no,
it's not any kind of Nintendo subsidiary. Like now, this
(01:58:19):
is a completely different publisher altogether with game Freak. Yeah,
so you know, we'll see what happens with that one.
I am so excited that game Freak is doing this,
So that's that's the one for me to watch.
Speaker 2 (01:58:34):
All right. Well, guys, it has been a pleasure to
stream for you all today. I hope that you enjoyed
today's show if you did give it a like, give
it a give us a sub or something. When I
hit a thousand, I'll scream on stream when I play
more more Island Hills two stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:58:51):
Yes, great at nine hundred and fourteen, we just need eighty.
Speaker 2 (01:58:54):
Will you be nine hundred and fifteen?
Speaker 3 (01:58:57):
Will you be nine hundred and sixteen? You be the
part of the first one thousand club, the prestigious one,
highly prestigious and the club is spelled.
Speaker 2 (01:59:08):

you guys in the next one. Have a great rest
of your night. And where's the one?
