El comercio internacional de armas está de muy buena salud. En la actualidad hay activos conflictos relevantes que están agitando a la industria armamentística, como los de Gaza y Ucrania.
Rheinmettall es ejemplo de las empresas que están facturando mucho. La firma alemana está haciendo mucho dinero y sus inversores en bolsa ven cómo sus acciones están alcanzando máximos históricos de 322 euros la acción.
En 2022, Alemania representaba poco más del 4% del comercio mundial, muy lejos de EE.UU., Rusia o Francia. En 2023, las exportaciones explotaron y alcanzaron nuevas cuotas. El gobierno alemán autorizó la exportación de armamento por valor de 12.200 millones de euros. Alrededor de un tercio se destinó a Ucrania.
