As we seem to have a mass shooting almost weekly, one approach that some U.S. school districts are doing is to arm teachers. The belief is they would be the last line of defense. The heated debate is would it actually reduce or stop some shootings or is the liability of teachers shooting themselves or students a real possibility. Most major education associations are opposed to arming teachers and many police chiefs agree it is not a good idea. But several school districts are arming their teachers. ABC’s Brad Garrett joins Tony and discusses the possible pros and cons of armed teachers and other approaches to reducing school violence.
