Many in Washington are wondering how John Bolton's exit will affect US foreign policy a day after President Trump fired his National Security Advisor. The President let the axe fall citing "policy disagreements." And disagree they did, Bolton even claiming he offered his resignation the night before the firing. CBS News has also learned President Trump was angry because he believed Bolton leaked a story that he wanted to explore the use of nuclear bombs to prevent hurricanes from hitting the US. Bolton was Mr. Trump's third National Security Advisor forced out. He is also the 18th cabinet-level official to exit the administration in just over two and half years. Joining Tony with analysis is CBS News Military Analyst Mike Lyons.
