Speaker 1 (00:00):
What do you mean, what's wrong? I'm just sitting here.
I said, nothing's wrong. Fine, Fine, I wasn't going to
say anything, but you're literally pulling it out of me. Well,
(00:25):
we've been dating for almost two weeks now, and I
just don't understand why you didn't even why didn't you
invite me to your family's holiday. Well, I thought you
(00:49):
liked me. Yeah, meeting someone's family is super awkward, but
I thought I was special to you. I thought that
maybe you would think that I was worth the awkwardness.
(01:19):
I think you are, of course, I do. Remember when
we first met at the cafe. I spilled my peppermint
latte all over you, and instead of getting mad, you
(01:41):
just bought me another And we ended up talking for
five hours straight at the cafe, your white shirt covered
in my coffee, and you didn't even care. You didn't
care what you looked like. You said, it must have
(02:02):
been fate that I tripped and spilled it all over
you and we found each other. To me, that was special.
I've never felt anything like that before, and it just
(02:28):
it makes me want to hold on so tight. Yeah.
I realize we've only been together for two weeks, but
two weeks can be like a lifetime. Fruitflies live for
like a day. We've been dating for almost fourteen fruitfly lifetimes.
(02:55):
A lot of couples throughout history get engaged in less time.
They would go to a ball and if the other
person just made sense for them, boom engaged. Don't look
at me like that. I haven't even mentioned wanting a
(03:16):
ring yet. I mean, I wouldn't mind one, but don't worry.
Christmas is past now, so my proposal hopes are no
longer up. But I thought you would have at least
(03:38):
wanted to show me off or something. I thought that
you would have wanted to introduce me because maybe in
the back of your mind you've thought about asking me
that question, maybe sometime soon, and then it wouldn't be
(04:02):
such a shock to your family if you did. You'd
be able to say, oh, you know her, y'all get
to meet her at Christmas. I know, I know, two weeks.
I get it. I'm getting ahead of myself. I just
(04:26):
I just thought that maybe you felt as strongly for
me as I do for you. Well, I didn't invite
you to mine because you didn't invite me to yours.
I would feel pretty lame. Asking you to come meet
(04:47):
my parents when it didn't even occur to you to
offer me the same. Well, it made me feel I
just thought we were going somewhere, you know. But maybe
(05:09):
you don't see me as take home to mama material.
Oh no, I got it. I know where I stand. Hey,
I didn't even want to have this conversation. I was
literally sitting here thinking my thoughts. And because you apparently
(05:35):
can read me like a book only two weeks in,
I apparently can't hide how I feel. But am I
in trouble right now for feeling it? Okay? Then you
(05:58):
know no one I've ever dated before has been able
to read me like you. Yeah, well, I mean in
the couple relationships I've been in the past, if you
(06:20):
can even call them relationships, no one's been able to
see me sitting silently and just know something was wrong.
Well if they did, they sure didn't care. I remember
(06:43):
crying myself to sleep some nights and my ex wouldn't
even bat an eye or ask me what's wrong. Look,
I'm sorry, I got hurt. I know it's silly. Like
(07:09):
I said, I was trying to keep it in. Apparently
it's impossible to hide my feelings from you. But can
I tell you something. Well, as much as it did
(07:34):
hurt not being invited, and it still kind of does,
I'm not gonna lie all that aside, it actually means
a lot the fact that you even cared that I
(07:57):
looked upset like You're kind of amazing that you even
noticed something was wrong. I'm literally just sitting here quietly
and you picked up on the fact that I wasn't okay.
(08:23):
And even if you think I'm nuts for what I'm
upset over, I don't think I've been cared for and
well just noticed in this way before. So I guess
(08:50):
I can't be too mad at you. Yeah, I mean
we have only even eading two weeks. Slow down, Lacy,
slow down, but you make it hard, like when you're
(09:16):
so good to me, it almost feels like a drug
or something, and I just want more mm hmmm and
(09:39):
more and more. And I just want to have like
insurance or something that you're not going to just disappear
on me. You know, I don't think I could handle
(10:06):
the withdrawal. I'm sorry. I don't think I'm usually this needy.
I think I just I'm realizing more and more that
(10:30):
I really need you. Yeah, I do. I need your heart,
your soul. I need to I need to slow my role. Sorry,
(11:00):
I know, but for now, I guess I'll settle for
your arms around me, your lips you. Hey, this is Lacy.
(11:28):
Thank you so much for listening. I really appreciate it,
and I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.
We're right in the middle of everything, and so I
like doing like stories with themes of what's going on
in the year, and I just thought this would be
kind of a cute one where I thought, you know,
(11:50):
neither party is really wrong, right, I mean, it's not.
It's not like the girlfriend, you know, tried to bring
it up and was saying, hey, how come you didn't
invite me, like you know, it was it was pride
out of her. But the listener, you know, wasn't really
being bad either. They were just like concerned. They could
(12:11):
see that something was up, and they're like, what's wrong?
You know. So it's like, you know, it's an argument,
and maybe maybe the speaker was being you know, a
little bit clingy, a little bit needy, but you know,
in their defense, you know, the speaker kind of pulled
it out of them. So and you know, I'm curious
(12:33):
from all of you all how long you think you
need to date someone before it's like appropriate to invite
them to your families, like you know, like holiday dinners
and stuff like that. So I thought it might pose
an interesting question. So yeah, I thought that would be
(12:53):
kind of cute. And you know, I haven't done one
of these in a while where it's like an argument,
but it's like, you know, like it's kind of ambiguous
of like who's right or wrong? In my opinion, I
don't think either of them are. And I thought it
was like kind of cute that, like, you know, like
the speaker realized that, like the listener was actually like
really sweet for noticing and caring that something's wrong. Because
(13:19):
I don't know about you guys, but I've been in
relationships where you can be like straight up like crying
and they just like you know, or like visibly upset
and they're just like going on with their business and
don't care like there was some truth in there about
like you know, like falling asleep crying like your partner
(13:40):
like literally just doesn't care. Like so yeah, I don't know,
so to me, I feel like this listener is like
a really good partner because they see something is wrong
and they care. I don't know, I'm curious. What are
your thoughts? What are your thoughts? Anyways, speaking of the holidays,
I did release a holiday's song on my music channel.
(14:04):
It was like on Christmas Eve. I think I put
it out super late. Sorry, but it was kind of
a last minute idea And it was actually only because
the amazing, amazing undead Slayer on Twitch requested the most
Wonderful time of the year a Christmas song I've never
(14:27):
played before. I never even thought about playing it, and
they requested that I play it like kind of with
a chill vibe, and I was like, you know what,
why not, I'll try this, And I did it live
on the stream. I like tried playing it for the
first time in the stream, and I seriously loved it,
Like I was like, oh my god, I want to
(14:48):
totally play this, like I want I want like to
do this like for real. And I ended up taking
the live recording from that Twitch of me playing that
song and I made a music video to it. So
that's over on my new channel Lacey Adeo A D
A y O, and I'll link It's linked below. So
(15:11):
if you want to see that, you know, it's not
technically a Christmas song, it's a Holidays season song, so
I can still listen, I think anyways. So oh, I
also wanted to say, uh two things. A big thank
you to Druid Dude. Thank you so much for gifting
(15:31):
me one month of super Natural. Oh my gosh, I's
so excited. Supernatural is a really fun game that I play.
It's like the only like video game, I guess kind
of thing that I play, maybe aside from like you know,
like Farmerosuga on my phone or something like. Uh, it's
a video game in VR where like like balls and
(15:55):
stuff like why you and you like get to like
punch them or like hit with bats and stuff and
it's a really good workout and it's really fun. So
Drewid Dude, thank you so much for that. That's so
unbelievably kind. And I can't remember Lyne in Winter if
I have thanked you with my voice yet, but I'm
(16:16):
going to anyway. If I did it twice, I'm not sorry. Sorry,
I'm not sorry. Line in Winter, thank you so much
for the fifty dollars rent Helper. That was so kind
of you. I really really appreciate it. Rent is so scary,
and I am always so thankful when I have it,
So thank you, so so so so much, very very
(16:38):
very much appreciated. And so yeah, thank you guys. And
then thanks obviously everyone in Patreon, especially you know the
last you know, month, when I was sick. Seriously, you
guys are the only reason I was able to survive that.
So every single day I was just thankful, ful, thankful
(17:00):
to you all. So I really appreciate it. And there's
a new benefit of membership. I'm so excited. I just
put out like a little note to everybody today to
let you know, so everyone knows, like you know, we
have our own discord and that's not going anywhere. I'm
like obsessed with it. You guys are amazing, and I'm
(17:21):
gonna be in there every day just as much. But
now all members of my Patreon now have access to
the spice Rack discord, which is so much fun. It's
brand new. It is just a really fun discord where
(17:44):
you can hang out with all of the members of
the spice Rack, my amazing, amazing girlfriends. You can meet
them and chat with them, and and I'm in there too,
and we're gonna have events, and so we have where
Suits High, we have Dream Audio Methods, Switch Audio, Starlet
(18:06):
Audio Scena Alexander from Messed Up Stories. She's our founder
and just amazing, amazing, amazing girl, and our newest member,
the Scarlet Web, who is an amazing spider. I know,
I know, you guys know I'm scared of spiders, but
I'm not scared of her. She's just so sweet and
(18:27):
amazing and just lovely. And so there's a lot of
fun in there. It's very active, and we're gonna have
like events, like we're thinking things like Keeaen Nights and
like we're thinking of doing like a slumber party type thing.
We're like we can all hang out, and I'm gonna
(18:50):
actually like force myself to, you know, do some voice
chat events, which I'm so nervous too. A lot of
people don't realize, like for you know, voice actors and
singers and stuff, very often we're kind of shy people,
and so like we get our like extrovertedness out in performance,
(19:12):
but then like in general and real life really very
often very shy. I am. So I'm so nervous, but
I'm going to do it because I think it'll be
really good for me and be really fun to like
meet some of you all with voices. So anyway, that
is a new exciting thing. And that was my supposed
(19:35):
to be my Christmas present to you guys, but that
I didn't realize it would take a minute to connect,
so I just connected today. So come on down and
say hi, and then also make sure that you join
the the other uh Lacy's fan server that you know,
the amazing, amazing friends in there made for me and
(19:57):
I definitely want to hang out in it every day
else so you know, it's a little little quieter and
more cozy. And then the spice rack one is a
little wild and crazy, and so come on down then
both and yeah, so that's the news stuff going on.
Let me see if they're saything, Oh yeah, Home Alone
(20:19):
is up. Our movie date. Our movie date is up
on my other channel I have in like ASMR like
in like kind of experiences like channel, and that's linked
below too, and we have a movie date so we
can watch a whole movie together. For the holiday movie
(20:39):
you all voted on Home Alone, which I was so
excited for because it's literally my favorite Christmas movie, so
I was so happy you chose that. And so all
you have to do is you can go below this
video and get the link to my other channel. It's
like like Lacey ASO and like, I forget I should
(21:02):
know what it's called, and like maybe companion Audios I
think it's like I think it's Lacy let me see
some more and companion Audios I think. Anyway, the link
is below, and the most recent video is a home
alone watch along, And basically all you do is you
load up a home alone on your side, and you
(21:25):
can listen to like, you know, maybe the movie through
your regular speakers and me and your headphones or something
like that. Or you can mix something together or something
and I'll do a countdown. I'll do three to one
play and then on play, you hit play at the
same time and we can watch the movie together, and
so you'll hear my reactions to things like as if
(21:46):
I'm right next to you, so like when there's a
funny part, you know, laugh together, like you know, we
recognize an actor from something you know, then then we'll
be like, oh my god, that's blah blah blah. Anyways,
it's really fun. So and there's other movies on there too,
if you're not a home alone fan. We did Star
(22:07):
Wars and Spider Man and Bad Teacher, I forget maybe
another I don't remember. But anyway, there's a lot of
fun stuff over there, so feel free to go over
there and check it out. It wasn't a live event.
It's just like it's there for like whenever you want
to watch a movie together, whenever you want to have
a date. I just wanted some quality time with you. Okay,
(22:28):
So anyways, Okay, I think that's all that's going on.
I'm going to try to do some lives this week.
And yeah, thanks so much for listening, and I will
stop baffling and rambling. Thank you again. I hope you
(22:50):
had the best holiday and you're having the best holiday season,
and I hope the rest of your twenty twenty four
is amazing and your twenty twenty five is even more amazing. Sing.
I love you so much. Can give you a big,
big squeeze, big squeeze. I'll talk you sing. Bye.
