Speaker 1 (00:11):
Hey y'all, Hey y'all, Hey y'all, how y'all doing. You're good?
You ate to day.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Good love that for you. It's your girl, big flicks.
Welcome back to the life of flex y'all. I am alive,
coming to you from the outdoors just because that's what
I was feeling today.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
But here we are. Any who, life has been lifing.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Okay, it's not whooping my ass as much, but you know,
it's still lifeish. Like. That's one thing I've learned about time.
Time don't stop for nobody. So what you do with
that time is your business, sure, but also you can't
(01:02):
get it back, so might as well use it wisely.
And I've been doing like self reflection, and I have
not been using my time wisely. And also I'm going
to be doing a lot of moving throughout this recording
because there are mosquitoes out here in Georgia. But anyhow,
(01:25):
I have not been using my time wisely. And I
can be honest and say that, you know, I got
to own up to my mistakes and my responsibilities, but
I also need to own up to the things that
I'm doing good at. You know, sometimes all the time
(01:46):
I can't just be doing nothing because I feel like
the more good that I do, the more I'm building
you know, that rhythm and characteristics of a good person,
because I do want to be a good person at
the end of the day. And so if I'm doing
good things, you know tuplus two weekus four type of thing.
(02:10):
But just trying to be a good person, be a
better person than I was today before, honestly, because every day,
like at the end of the day, I sometimes catch
myself thinking, overthinking and replaying what happened throughout the day.
(02:31):
And there's times and I'm like, you know what, I
could have been nicer, I could have said more, I
missed out on this or that opportunity, you know what
I'm saying. So it just sticks in my head, like,
you know what, next time, I need to do more.
But then when that next time comes, and it's never
(02:52):
like the time before, because every interaction with someone should
be different. Like if you get the same thing out
of a person, just hey, how you doing, good bye,
You're not really building a relationship with them. You're barely acquaintances.
You're just somebody that you wave and speak to.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah, that's what it is.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Just that's just somebody you speak to like, I'm from
the country where you can say, oh, I used to
speak to so and so. Are they speak to me
when they saw me? It's basically, hey, how you doing.
Keep on about your business. You're not actually having a
relationship with that person. You're not cool with that person.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
For real, for real.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
There are big bugs and little bugs and all sorts
of bugs. But I'm gonna power through, so stick with me, okay.
But yeah, funny thing I wanna tell y'all. So, I
had this conversation with my ex yesterday and he was
just like, well, since we've separated, I've done x Y
(03:57):
z ABCD, you know, blasi bazi base and you've done
what now? And I'm like, well, I spend a lot
of my time crying, kay, Now, I spend my day's
painting pumpkins.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
It's not as bad.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
I mean, I'd rather be painting pumpkins than crying. But
you didn't have to flix on me like that, mkay.
I I see where you're going with this. I don't
like it, alright, And it's never fun when somebody tells
you the truth that you don't wanna hear. So I've
been having to sit with that and say, you know what, well,
(04:35):
I'm not finna keep doing is wasting time? Okay, cause
there are twenty four hours in a day. So any
little thing, any ten seconds, thirty seconds, one minute, five minutes,
whatever that I can do in this day to better myself.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
I need to start.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Doing those things instead of just sitting around thinking of
things to do, like ooh, what if I do this, Well,
then I'm gonna have to do it this way or
that way, like trying to plan out things. Remember how
we talked about that in the last episode. Yeah, I
wouldn't call it anal, but I'm very analytic. Okay, see
(05:17):
what I did there, Very analytic about the things that
I do, which is one thing I love about this
podcast because I only have to have ten percent motivation
to do this. And here I am in front of
a microphone, whether it's you know, the headphones that go
to my phone or this microphone, whether I am in
(05:40):
a laundromat, remember back when I used to be in
my office in my own apartment, right, Like I've come
live to y'all from the park sometimes like this is
just my thing and I enjoy doing it. So only
just have to have a thought, you know, what I
could do my podcast and talking to myself helps me
(06:05):
feel better afterwards, whether it seems weird to anybody, whether
you want me just talking English or Spanish. Okay, I said,
doors Bo, give me like Ana better. I'm just do
what I want right. And so this is the one
(06:26):
thing I'm not very analytic about. I'm not like the
more I try to plan what I'm gonna say, the
further away I get from that plan. Like I can
put in my head, you know what I'm gonna talk
about blank blank, and I'm gonna Okay, I can say
I'm gona talk about A and B, I end up
(06:48):
talking about M and N most of the songs like
I missed the whole train, because that's what's fun about
this podcast. I'm just talking and getting my feelings out.
And so I just need to do more things that
I don't have to analyze. I'm just doing it right
(07:12):
because the more analyzing I'm doing is just me thinking.
And you know, it don't take a genius to sit
around thinking. It takes a genius to do genius things
that makes them a genius. So I just gotta start
(07:33):
doing more. There is a bug on my laptop y'all
it looks scary, like, oh mg, I am really outside AnyWho.
I just have to find my thing that like, where
(07:53):
life wants to lead me doing whatever. Because I spend
so much time thinking about, well, what would I like
to do? You know what, whatever makes me happy. I'm'a
do it like you'll know when I say, ooh can
I do this.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
That I really like doing this thing.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
If I get to going mm uh, it's not the
thing for me, okay, But.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
I don't know. I just have to.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Live how I wanna live, not just how people want
me to live, and not just do the things people
want me to do.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
I have to live my own life, and.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I gotta start somewhere. And I can sit around and
think about, well, where can I start?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Why don't I just start?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Don't not just do The best decisions that I made
in life weren't very.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Play out.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
It's just, oh, this smart idea came to me while
I was in the process. And I feel like that's
where God shows up in my life. When I'm in
the process, that's when I see him working, Like that's
how he operates. Like for the longest, I just wanted
an opportunity to just come to me like somebody listens
(09:25):
to a podcast or whatever and he say, you know what,
that's a girl that I want doing X, Y and Z.
I don't know, but that's not how that works. I
have to actually do something. I can't just talk about
myself and think somebody wants a weirdo that talks about
(09:48):
themselves to themselves. I have to be somebody that is.
You know, why are you talking about yourself? Why should
I listen to you talk about yourself? Why should you
would be listening to me talk about myself right now?
Why are you listening to me talk about myself right now?
Let's start there, Okay, But also have to have things
(10:10):
to talk about content, And the only way to have
content doing the life of Lex is to live the
life of Flex. Ain't that funny? So here I am
welcome to this new chapter of my life where I'm
living the life of Les. Probably don't change name, it's
(10:32):
to l I lol, Just kidding, lol. And it also
was strategic that life of Lex is lol, just in
case you're wondering. But anyho, I'm gonna tell y'all this
funny story. So I'm at work right painting pumpkins. And
(10:57):
there's this big old pumpkin, right, like humongous, bigger than
about five of me, about six of me, right, So
I put my phone on inside of the pumpkin, propped
it up so I could record myself doing karaoke live
from inside of a pumpkin's booty hole. And then I
(11:20):
guess I reached my hand in so cause I took
my glasses off cause it was hot and I didn't
really look bright with the filter and my glasses. So
I put my glasses out there in my hand and
I reached my hand in and they fall out of
my hand. I'm like, oh, oh no. And then I'm like,
how do how do I get my glasses out of
this pumpkin's booty hole?
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Because that's what it was, That's why it was.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
An open area. It was actually the big pumpkin, right,
is the butt of a spider.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
So there's a head, and head is a little.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Smaller than that pumpkin, right, and then there's legs, and
I painted all the lots and so I'm definitely in.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
This pumpkins booty hoole? And how do I get my
glasses out of it?
Speaker 2 (12:08):
And today I ended up so I really wanted to
paint the pumpkin cause I painted the legs and I'm like,
now it doesn't match. And that would be the most
satisfying thing ever to do, just sit here and paint
this pumpkin. And so went to lunch, came back, somebody
painted the pumpkin and they didn't finish it, and so
(12:30):
these guys came to move it and they're like, it's
the paint drying. I'm like, I don't what are you
talking about? And I was like, well, can you do
a favor? Can you get my glasses out there? Then
ask any questions?
Speaker 1 (12:42):
All night and.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Even in my dreams, I stressed about how do I
explain how my glasses got in this pumpkins? But like
how how were my glasses inside the pumpkin? And I
kept having this conversation with my mom, like what do
I tell these people? How'm I gonna give a punkin
my glasses out of is punkin? And it just they
(13:07):
didn't ask any questions. They just reached in, got it.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
No big deal.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
And it's like the more time I spend stressing about
things and thinking I'm not getting anything done, I could've
got my glasses out yesterday, right, I just have to
work on what I focus my attention on. For one,
if I wanna start living, how you know I want to,
(13:37):
cause I'm thinking about how am I gonna explain myself. Well,
it's a simple story if you just sit there and listen.
But at the end of the day, I still needed
my glasses out as punkins foodyhole, and I got him out. Anyhow,
I'm gonna get out of y'all's hair. I dyed my
blue yesterday, loll anyhow, love piece and chitten grease, y'all,
(14:01):
thanks for listening. Iye, oh, I forgot. Don't go fucking up.
Nobody say it's not cool. No, say it's capitol. Okay,
iye
