Speaker 1 (00:00):
Upcycling, paper craft using orogami as everyone who up cycles
or reuses all repurpose repurposes for any reason, including crafting
paper is one of those things that make uh, you
can make all kinds of creation possible. The other day
I was watching a completely unrelated video to upcycling, but

(00:23):
at the end of the video they had a message
and it was contained within an envelope that was made
out of paper, some kind of paper rogamic creation. I thought, well,
this is kind of nice, and what a nice way
to give a message to message to just about anyone.
Of course, after that I had to go into my

(00:45):
research mode and figure out all the other things you
can make using paper and orogamy as a means to create.
I remember a few years back I had learned to
make a crane bird with the long neck. To tell truth,
I don't know if I missed any step in making it,
but I know it looks like a bird. I had,

(01:07):
in fact made a mobile with these birds. At one
point I made two of these birds with really hard
stock paper and painted them. But then I remember my
grandfather making these paper boats with me as a kid
and how much I enjoy making them. And then putting
them in water and seeing them float at least for

(01:28):
a while. All this got me my creative juice is going.
And I actually made a couple of the envelopes by
following step by step on how to make them, as
well as I learned to make and Oro gom heart.
I tried making a butterfly, but I failed. I'm guessing
I need a lot more practice and patience. The crane
I learned to make took a lot of trials and

(01:51):
a lot of scrap paper. So the next time you
think about the beautiful paper bag from a bakery or
some other store should be thrown away, think again. Well
for now, remember that life is about possibilities and not impossibilities.
Till next time, stay well,

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
