Sunday Sermon — Old Wounds and Dead Weights
In this Sunday Sermon from the Ministry of Health, Govinda speaks to the living about the transition now before them: the need to lay aside old wounds, release dead weights, and run the race set before the living with clean hands, guarded attention, and peace.
The field has changed.
The record stands.
The measure is in the field.
But many are still carrying the old pain, old narratives, old enemy maps, old research loops, and old burdens that belonged to the field that has already passed.
This message is not a call to forget what happened.
It is not a call to become naïve or unguarded.
It is a call to stop allowing old wounds to govern the future, and to stop carrying dead weights into the race now before the living.
Scriptures referenced include:
Hebrews 12:1–2 — “Let us lay aside every weight…”
Matthew 10:16 — “Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
Isaiah 43:18–19 — “Remember ye not the former things… Behold, I will do a new thing…”
Philippians 3:13–14 — “Forgetting those things which are behind… I press toward the mark…”
2 Chronicles 20:15 — “The battle is not yours, but God’s.”
Luke 17:32 — “Remember Lot’s wife.”
Psalm 147:3 — “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
Matthew 6:33 — “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness…”
Galatians 5:1 — “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free…”
This is a transitional word for those ready to stop staring at the old prison and begin stewarding the living field now before them.
The wound was real.
But it is not your future.
The dead weight was heavy.
But it is not your assignment.
The living now run.
