Our bigfoot sightings has happened in West Virginia. My name
is Sammy Richardson. I've been investigating these creatures for a
little over two years now, and I've seen things that
some people couldn't explain, which I've got more evidence than

a lot of people's ever seen a bigfoot. I just
never show a public But let me start before I
started off with one of my encounters in West Virginia.
The first bigfoot counter in West Virginia was November nineteen sixty.

Nine, in the near Greenbrier River in Pocahontas County, a
deer hunter reported a daylight sighting of a tall harry
coacher moving through the woods, which, as I'm going down
through here, there.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Is years after years. The first signing was nineteen which,
of course, the first signing was nineteen sixty nine in
West Virginia. That's people were the first eye witness, but
which you've got from nineteen sixty nine all the way
to twenty twenty six. Now I've investigated these creatures, like

I said, for little way over two years now I
did night investigations. I've spent a week out in the
middle of the woods down in Appalachian Mountains hunting for
these creatures. I don't mean them no harm. But my
(02:49):
first encounter ever was probably back in twenty fifteen. Me
and my grandpa was squirrel hunting, which well, I can't
remember if it was twenty fifteen. I was about eight,
eight or nine years old, just been longer than that.
(03:14):
That was about It's just say I was about eight
years old, me and my grandpa, we were squirrel hunting
on top of this ridge and we're just sitting there
and we looked behind us, and there's this creature. It
(03:39):
stood up close to nine or ten feet tall, broad shoulders,
but it was a good little distance away. At first
we thought it was a bear, but it disappeared. We
looked at it for a good ten minutes. It was
(04:04):
a massive but I think it was more that creature
was more or less just wanting to be suspicious about it,
like come over the nose, like a look, look at us,
like I've never seen these creatures before. What are they now?
(04:28):
There is some cases bigfoots will throw rocks at you.
That's once in a full moon. But the territorial which
there ain't just one bigfoot out there. There's hundreds even
thousands of bigfoot in the whole world. Because let me
(04:53):
tell y'all a little story about bigfoot. I think they're
like birds. I think they did the same thing birds does.
They go south? A lot of them will go south
for the winter, because if you think about it, you
don't hear very many reports during the wintertime. It's always
during the spring and summertime and in the fall. And
(05:17):
I will admit there has been some counters in the wintertime.
I mean, like some bigfoots are just like people. They
want to go where it's warm, which I don't blame
them for that, even though they're got all the fur.
But I think they hibernate down south along the Ohio
(05:40):
River because I've got numerous accounts of Bigfoot sightings down
toward the Elk River and the Ohio River. Because I
think somehow, some way they follow the rivers, like down
(06:01):
into Virginia, Kentucky, wherever they can get to where it's warm.
I've had all my counteries here in West Virginia in
Braxton County, West Virginia. One of the the last encounter
I had, one of the lasting counties I've had there
(06:22):
was I was going down this little road down Route
four in Braxton County. It's a place you can stop
and like can go fishing or hunting. It's all public land.
It's all public land. So I decided I was just
gonna walk down through there and just walk to the
(06:45):
river and see how the river is. So I got
down there. About time I got all the way to
the end, it got about dark. It was probably about
twenty minutes till nightfall. Then I heard I heard a scream,
And I will tell you all this right now there
(07:07):
is Panthers Mountain lions. I can scream like a woman
and just sound like a woman, which I took into
consideration when I first heard that scream, but it wasn't
because I was down the long the river. The river
was down. Put it good, and I walked close to
(07:27):
a mile and a half more so all together, I
walked close to four miles altogether, just one way. And
this is back in the middle of the mountains, middle
of nowhere. I don't know if y'all know, if some
of you listeners nowhere Burnsville Damage in Braxton County, that
(07:49):
seems to be a big tours place. But that was
Burnsville Lake. I was at like the backwaters of Burnsville Lake.
And after I heard that scream, something above me was moving,
started moving around like you're just getting closer to me.
So I ended up just started my way back up,
(08:11):
started my way back towards my vehicle at the time,
and it just kept following me all the way up
to my vehicle, which, like I said, it was about
four miles a four mile hike back out of there.
It took me a little bit to get everything done
(08:33):
to get out of there. It took me about thirty
minutes to get out of there, because whatever this was
that was falling me, it didn't seem too happy. After
I got close to my vehicle, it come off the
hill and stood in the middle of the road. It
was about it was. And I'll be honest with you,
(08:56):
I've seen some big bigfoots. I've had some sightings, and
the bigfoots was a fairly decent size. But this bigfoot
was more or less in between seven foot and eight foot,
which I'll be honest with y'all. There is baby bigfoots
running around. There's like infant bigfoots running around. Now. My
(09:19):
encounter is this thing was following me. I don't know
what it's you thought it was going to achieve if
it wanted to attack me or not. Which You've got
your different cryptis too. You got your bigfoot, you got
your dog man. You see down the Appalation Mountains, You're
going to find anything and everything. Some things just because
(09:43):
you don't believe in them does not mean they're not there.
And I will give everybody a warning. If you go
in these Appalachian mountains, treat it with respect, and it
will treat you with respect. Like if you go out
there drinking, throwing trash down, almost setting the woods on fire.

That's a different story. But let me let me tell
you all a little something. If you see a bigfoot
or sasquatch, however you all would like to put it,
I just say bigfoot because it's honestly more simpler and
just proceed with caution. More likely if you don't bother it,
(10:31):
if you ain't causing a threat to it, it won't
bother you. If you call, if you're threatening it or
its habitat, then it's probably gonna mess with you. The
male bigfoots are the most how do I put it up?
The male bigfoots are the ones. That's mostly the ones
(10:51):
that will attack you. The infants and females them more
or less curious like some sasquatch bigfoot, most of them
is just curious. They don't mean you no harm, unless
if you threaten them. But that's anybody, because you're going
into their homes, like for instance, I would that'd be
(11:18):
like somebody coming in your home and tearing stuff up,
or cutting trees or just destroying your old house. Well,
a lot of people don't realize is that's Bigfoot's home.
I mean, I wouldn't want anybody coming to my house
and destroy everything. Which I'm not saying everybody is like it,
(11:40):
but there is sometimes people are like it. Like for me,
I've been wanting to get a couple of people together
to do a good nighttime investigation where I think it
would be a percent chance that we would see or
hear some things going on. Well, like I said, I've
(12:03):
been doing this for about two and a half years now.
I've calmed down on a lot of it because I
started working and I just haven't had a whole lot
of time to do it. But I've got maps for
the hometown, United States, and I've got like in West Virginia.
West Virginia is one of my biggest ones for big footcases,
which I've had a few different sightings. I told you
(12:26):
about my two main sightings. The ass them was just
more or less it looked like a bigfoot, but it
was just too far off in a distance for me too.
I hope and sure about it. Now if you all
are wondering about footprints, now that I have seen and
(12:48):
there is a big foot place here in sunt West Virginia,
that well, it's the Bigfoot Festival, Like Bigfoot festival they
have every year, You've got different big foot hunters come
out and stuff like that. But the biggest footprint I've
ever seen is been up to twenty some inches and
(13:11):
I wear size fifteen shoe and it was bigger than
my feet. And I mean, I've got big feet. They
ain't got no shame in big feet. But now can
sometimes it be hoax? Yes you can. But one thing
I've never one thing I've realized is if you're back
(13:32):
in the mountains, way back in the mountains of the
Appalachian Mountains, I'm sure nobody else is gonna be. I'm
sure nobody else got their foot that big and be
barefooted all the way out in the mountains. I'm more
or less. I believe in facts. I believe in proof,
(13:56):
which I've got one hundred different photos here that should
different sized footprints and everything. Which I don't know who
believes in bigfoot and who don't believe in bigfoot. Everybody's
got their own opinion. Me personally, I believe in facts.
I believe in proof. If you've got good heart evidence
(14:16):
proving that this creature does exist, I'll take a look
at it, because that's just the way I am. But
now let me tell you all something. A few years
ago there was a big those footprints found actually from
where I live right now, where I'm at from right now,
it's about two miles away down toward the river, down
(14:39):
through the river, because when the river's down, you can
walk all the way down the river. And like you
got your other big investigators and stuff that does a
lot of them recordings and stuff. And I'm at this,
I don't know if they actually see bigfoot or it's
all fake like you see these TV shows and stuff
(15:01):
like that. Me I'm real, like I literally go out
there and take pictures every little thing I see that
could be a true fact of Bigfoot. Now, let's talk
about the New River Gorge, which I'm sure a lot
of people has heard about the New River Gorge. It's
the biggest about the biggest bridge in West Virginia, and
(15:23):
there's a lot of acres there. Now, there has been
a lot of big foot signings in the New River Gorge.
That's a good spot for bigfoot sightings. But let me
talk to you all about the gifting arcs and tree structures.
A gifting arc is where you leave something and like
(15:52):
if you find you a tree structure, leave something there,
like leave a piece of bread or food or something
like that. Leave it there, then come back the next day.
Then you might just have something air for you. Because
(16:12):
if you give bigfoot a gift, he'll give you a gift.
It might be vines, it might be really anything. The
one thing I could tell you all about bigfoot is
they could be friendly, but they could also be very aggressive.

Like let me tell you all this one story. So
I had somebody they said they was walking back to
their camp and they come back and the whole camp
site's destroyed and they just find footprints us al they found. Now,
(16:57):
some bigfoots are very aggressive, very very aggressive. But just
be careful if you go out in Appalatian mountains because
you might go out here you might not see nothing.

Then again, you might go out there and you might
find something, might walk right into something that you never
want to be in. But like I said when I
first started, bigfoots hibernate like bigfoots can't. Bigfoots can hibernate.
Bigfoots can uh like go down south during the wintertime.

That's why a lot of people don't see bigfoots during
the wintertime. In West Virginia. As you got met, West
Virginia does get some pretty good snows once in a while.
But like I've got some pictures that's pretty good evidence
of her Bigfoot, that Bigfoot exists, and I just got
to appreciate Vic here for let me come one to

A lot of people sees Bigfoot as a threat. I don't. Honestly,
Bigfoot ain't really that scary. They met them in the movies.
They make Bigfoot seem worse than he really is. Now

I'm not saying there ain't really aggressive bigfoots. There is.
I've dealt with two of them me personally. I have
dealt with two bigfoots that's actually chased me and wanted
to and throw rocks at me and tried to hurt me.
But in most cases, like if you go into the
Appalachian Mountains, if you don't carry a firearm or something

like that, carry bear spray, pepper spray, anything like that,
because just because you go out here in the Appalachian
Mountains and you're gonna find a crypti, you got mountain lions, bears, anything,

any regular animal that could attack you. Because you just
never know, which a lot of people don't realize that,
and they just go out here and thinking everything's gonna
be okay, which mess of the time it will be.
But I always like to have something just in case,
always have that little set of protection with you. Even
(19:34):
though a lot of people thinks bigfoot is just a
creature everybody makes up. In some cases, yes, some people
has fake seeing a bigfoot and everything else like that.
I get that. It's a hard one to swallow. I
(19:58):
really do. I really do get that. But like since
the nineteenth century, there's been thousands and thousands of reports
of seeing a sasquatch all over the United all over
the place. For me personally, but like I said earlier,
you go out in these woods, respect them because you
(20:23):
don't know. You just don't know how easy those woods
could take you in. There has been been all kinds
of reports of missing people. Some people think that the
cryptids don't which I'll be honest with you, there has
been a messing report the person says a big hairy
(20:49):
creature kidnapped them. In some case suggest that is a
fifth of chew off. But I mean in some cases
you got to think, like what have they been through?
What have they been through since they've been gone? But
(21:10):
I think I'll be honest with you, I think Bigfoot's
all Bigfoot is. He's just he's got the brain of
a human, but he I think their brain they're using
one hundred of it. That's why they can be hid
so well. And they know where to go when people look,

because West Virginia's got hundreds of lakes, rivers, little creeks, mountains.
But if you want my opinion on something, if you
go out here in these woods, don't take advantage of
(21:54):
it because these woods can swallow you up and spit
you out. They really can. And that's honest to God,
coming from straight from my heart.

a lot of people don't realize is that's Bigfoot's home.
I mean, I wouldn't want anybody coming to my house
and destroy everything. Which I'm not saying everybody is like it,
(11:40):
but there is sometimes people are like it. Like for me,
I've been wanting to get a couple of people together
to do a good nighttime investigation where I think it
would be a percent chance that we would see or
hear some things going on. Well, like I said, I've
(12:03):
been doing this for about two and a half years now.
I've calmed down on a lot of it because I
started working and I just haven't had a whole lot
of time to do it. But I've got maps for
the hometown, United States, and I've got like in West Virginia.
West Virginia is one of my biggest ones for big footcases,
which I've had a few different sightings. I told you
(12:26):
about my two main sightings. The ass them was just
more or less it looked like a bigfoot, but it
was just too far off in a distance for me too.
I hope and sure about it. Now if you all
are wondering about footprints, now that I have seen and
(12:48):
there is a big foot place here in sunt West Virginia,
that well, it's the Bigfoot Festival, Like Bigfoot festival they
have every year, You've got different big foot hunters come
out and stuff like that. But the biggest footprint I've
ever seen is been up to twenty some inches and
(13:11):
I wear size fifteen shoe and it was bigger than
my feet. And I mean, I've got big feet. They
ain't got no shame in big feet. But now can
sometimes it be hoax? Yes you can. But one thing
I've never one thing I've realized is if you're back
(13:32):
in the mountains, way back in the mountains of the
Appalachian Mountains, I'm sure nobody else is gonna be. I'm
sure nobody else got their foot that big and be
barefooted all the way out in the mountains. I'm more
or less. I believe in facts. I believe in proof,
(13:56):
which I've got one hundred different photos here that should
different sized footprints and everything. Which I don't know who
believes in bigfoot and who don't believe in bigfoot. Everybody's
got their own opinion. Me personally, I believe in facts.
I believe in proof. If you've got good heart evidence
(14:16):
proving that this creature does exist, I'll take a look
at it, because that's just the way I am. But
now let me tell you all something. A few years
ago there was a big those footprints found actually from
where I live right now, where I'm at from right now,
it's about two miles away down toward the river, down
(14:39):
through the river, because when the river's down, you can
walk all the way down the river. And like you
got your other big investigators and stuff that does a
lot of them recordings and stuff. And I'm at this,
I don't know if they actually see bigfoot or it's
all fake like you see these TV shows and stuff
(15:01):
like that. Me I'm real, like I literally go out
there and take pictures every little thing I see that
could be a true fact of Bigfoot. Now, let's talk
about the New River Gorge, which I'm sure a lot
of people has heard about the New River Gorge. It's
the biggest about the biggest bridge in West Virginia, and
(15:23):
there's a lot of acres there. Now, there has been
a lot of big foot signings in the New River Gorge.
That's a good spot for bigfoot sightings. But let me
talk to you all about the gifting arcs and tree structures.
A gifting arc is where you leave something and like
(15:52):
if you find you a tree structure, leave something there,
like leave a piece of bread or food or something
like that. Leave it there, then come back the next day.
Then you might just have something air for you. Because
(16:12):
if you give bigfoot a gift, he'll give you a gift.
It might be vines, it might be really anything. The
one thing I could tell you all about bigfoot is
they could be friendly, but they could also be very aggressive.
(16:36):
Like let me tell you all this one story. So
I had somebody they said they was walking back to
their camp and they come back and the whole camp
site's destroyed and they just find footprints us al they found. Now,
(16:57):
some bigfoots are very aggressive, very very aggressive. But just
be careful if you go out in Appalatian mountains because
you might go out here you might not see nothing.
(17:18):
Then again, you might go out there and you might
find something, might walk right into something that you never
want to be in. But like I said when I
first started, bigfoots hibernate like bigfoots can't. Bigfoots can hibernate.
Bigfoots can uh like go down south during the wintertime.
(17:41):
That's why a lot of people don't see bigfoots during
the wintertime. In West Virginia. As you got met, West
Virginia does get some pretty good snows once in a while.
But like I've got some pictures that's pretty good evidence
of her Bigfoot, that Bigfoot exists, and I just got
to appreciate Vic here for let me come one to

his podcasts and let me talk about this with you all.
A lot of people sees Bigfoot as a threat. I don't. Honestly,
Bigfoot ain't really that scary. They met them in the movies.
They make Bigfoot seem worse than he really is. Now
(18:26):
I'm not saying there ain't really aggressive bigfoots. There is.
I've dealt with two of them me personally. I have
dealt with two bigfoots that's actually chased me and wanted
to and throw rocks at me and tried to hurt me.
But in most cases, like if you go into the
Appalachian Mountains, if you don't carry a firearm or something
(18:48):
like that, carry bear spray, pepper spray, anything like that,
because just because you go out here in the Appalachian
Mountains and you're gonna find a crypti, you got mountain lions, bears, anything,
(19:08):
any regular animal that could attack you. Because you just
never know, which a lot of people don't realize that,
and they just go out here and thinking everything's gonna
be okay, which mess of the time it will be.
But I always like to have something just in case,
always have that little set of protection with you. Even
(19:34):
though a lot of people thinks bigfoot is just a
creature everybody makes up. In some cases, yes, some people
has fake seeing a bigfoot and everything else like that.
I get that. It's a hard one to swallow. I
(19:58):
really do. I really do get that. But like since
the nineteenth century, there's been thousands and thousands of reports
of seeing a sasquatch all over the United all over
the place. For me personally, but like I said earlier,
you go out in these woods, respect them because you
(20:23):
don't know. You just don't know how easy those woods
could take you in. There has been been all kinds
of reports of missing people. Some people think that the
cryptids don't which I'll be honest with you, there has
been a messing report the person says a big hairy
(20:49):
creature kidnapped them. In some case suggest that is a
fifth of chew off. But I mean in some cases
you got to think, like what have they been through?
What have they been through since they've been gone? But
(21:10):
I think I'll be honest with you, I think Bigfoot's
all Bigfoot is. He's just he's got the brain of
a human, but he I think their brain they're using
one hundred of it. That's why they can be hid
so well. And they know where to go when people look,
(21:33):
because West Virginia's got hundreds of lakes, rivers, little creeks, mountains.
But if you want my opinion on something, if you
go out here in these woods, don't take advantage of
(21:54):
it because these woods can swallow you up and spit
you out. They really can. And that's honest to God,
coming from straight from my heart.

know your surroundings because it's very easy to get lost
